STATE OF WYOMING had excuses for a disappointing debut run in March, but he shaped much better at the Curragh on his recent reappearance. Dropped in trip and fitted with a visor for the first time, Paddy Twomey's charge could prove to be the one to side with. Resurgence found life tough at Listowel on his handicap debut, although he went close in maiden company at Navan before that and looks a threat. Karrygrant and A Good Yarn are others to note.

ONEHUNDREDNEIGHTY impressed with his finishing effort when making a winning chase bow over 2m here last month and there is likely more to come. The six-year-old scored with plenty in the tank and neither a 10lb hike from the assessor or return to 2m 4f should pose him any issues. The introduction of cheekpieces worked a charm for recent Southwell scorer Rockvale and he may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of the returning Jimmyjeroo.

Jim Goldie has his horses in decent form and loves a winner here, and he sends easy Ayr scorer MOTAWAARED back into battle. The four-year-old, who looks well treated off just 2lb higher, boasts sound claims and any further rain would be welcomed. Charli Parker is perfectly capable in the saddle and she could steer eight-time winner Star Start into a place, though Tee Aitch Aye might prove the bigger danger to the selection.

Those with racecourse experience make no appeal, so this can go to a newcomer and AMANDARI fits the bill. The son of Invincible Spirit is a brother to a two-year-old Listed winner over 7f and John and Thady Gosden's yard is in fine form. Wootton Bassett progeny and 240,000gns purchase Born This Way is another to keep a close eye on, while Pigou warrants respect as a half-brother to ex-stablemate and Listed winner William Twee.

Chase debutant Sonyourastar has improved with each outing in handicap company over timber and he must rank highly on the shortlist. A small field could play into the hands of Karl Burke's Lucky Vega colt VEGASMILE, who made all to win at the second attempt by more than four lengths over course and distance, beating an odds-on favourite in the process. If he can dominate again here he may come home clear of Blue Pete, who finished second at Redcar last time out. Dodgem appears best of the rest.

The penalised Able Tasman scored over a mile at Bath last month and attempts to confirm superiority with the runner-up DEIRA MOON. However, the latter re-opposes on more favourable terms and, having finished second again when upped to 1m2f at Goodwood last month, Harry Eustace's charge is taken to turn the tables and come out best on this occasion. Quintillion is going in the right direction and could make the frame.

MOVIN AND GROOVIN has won twice at Dundalk and she wasn't beaten too far in seventh at Laytown last time out. The four-year-old may be worth another chance to win on the grass. Brains has been thereabouts recently and is likely to be once again, while Zabriskie Point and Cisterna are both entitled to be on the scene where it matters.

A Grade 1 winner over hurdles, it's difficult to get away from POTTERS CHARM given his yard's fantastic strike-rate at present. The seven-year-old landed the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell last season and he will take an awful lot of beating if proving as effective on his chasing bow. The hat-trick seeking Jupiter Des Mottes is an intriguing stable debutant for Dan Skelton, while Rules debutant Vicomte Le Brave does at least have a long list of point-to-point experience to draw upon.

Dylan Cunha's reputation grows on a monthly basis and it may be worth keeping an eye on the markets to see if C&D winner Expressionless sees any support in a first-time visor, and off a mark 12lb lower than that success. Atalanta Mist has hit a top three finish on her last five starts but is proving hard to win with, and DARKEST RED is preferred. A winner at Brighton off 3lb lower last month, he stayed on well that day and the added quarter mile may prove ideal.

Having left his debut at Musselburgh behind when opening his account at Newcastle two weeks ago, Showcasing Glory must enter calculations. The son of Sergei Prokofiev offered something to work with on his opening fifth in a class 2 event at Windsor and any improvement may see him score. Red Tail should put his experience to good use, while Al Alami is the pick of the newcomers.

Ella Beach made her Leicester debut a winning one but has more on her plate now conceding weight to an improving colt in the shape of TROPBIEN. He clearly needed his Newbury debut in the spring and posted two encouraging efforts at Sandown and Windsor in June. Given time to strengthen up since, the John and Thady Gosden inmate is taken to show a lot more here. Indhaar is another to respect.

Ephesus has a 1-1 record here after winning this last year and, although out of form lately with a distant 13th at Down Royal two weeks ago, he races off 1lb lower this year and connections reach for blinkers for the first time. Willie Mullins runners always warrant respect and the booking of Dylan Browne McMonagle for RAKKI is interesting, and the Down Royal fourth could reverse the form with Pillar Of Hope (winner) on these better terms.

JIAIR MADRIK's winning run came to an end when third at Bangor last month, but he stayed on strongly over the two and a half miles that day and is well worth a try at this extended trip. The former receives 4lb from the selection and is feared most after a good second on his opening bid at Newcastle, while the latter should appreciate the drop back in trip.

Amber Hamur has been in good form on the turf this year and it wouldn't be a surprise if she was bang there at the business end reverting to the all-weather, while chances are also given to Sailor's Return and Espanita. However, MARIA DA SILVA gets the nod as she's seemingly still improving and should appreciate switching to a synthetic surface judged on a pair of wins here earlier in the year.

Runner-up to the selection, Among The Pines could be thereabouts once again and he makes more appeal than Ballaghkeen, who is burdened with a 7lb penalty for her recent win at Navan.

Taygar was only beaten a short-head at Ripon and will have her supporters, but a chance is taken on JUAN LES PINS. Mick Appleby's veteran was left with too much to do when third at Southwell, but is off 1lb lower for his first race in a Class 5 since winning at Thirsk off this mark in April.

Plenty can be given a chance in a tight contest, but TIME TO SPARKLE is on an upward curve and may edge affairs. Floating Market is a likely improver on only her second outing in a handicap, while That Darn Cantor and Takeitorleaveit also enter calculations.

NIFFLER missed out on a four-timer when finding one too good at Wolverhampton. However, Sir Mark Prescott's charge still finish clear of the rest and, with first-time cheekpieces offering the prospect of further improvement, he's worthy of another chance. Billy Loughnane gets the leg-up on the veteran Tazaman, who steps back up in trip with a shout, while the 2024 winer Naasma and Fram Castle are not out of it either.

Spartan Fighter does the vast majority of his racing at this venue and has already won five times here this year. He's likely to be thereabouts once again, but a chance is taken on ABDUCTION. Not at his best on testing ground at Ayr last time, Jim Goldie's inmate scored off a 1lb higher mark over C&D in January. Flowstate and Havana Rum are others to note.

Macanudo came up short at Brighton attempting to land a treble. The handicapper may have his measure now, but RORY'S ROYALE looks on a workable mark. Simon Hodgson's charge was having his first start since February when going agonisingly close at Windsor last month and could prove to be the one to side with. Leicester winner Moostar escapes a penalty and looks pick of the remainder.

REENIE'S DREAM finally opened her account when successful here last month. Bryan Smart's filly had the previous C&D winner Yaahobby back in third that day and is taken to confirm superiority raised only 2lb. The latter is off an unchanged mark and looks likely to have a say in proceedings once again, while Piperstown boasts a fine strike-rate on the all-weather and is worthy of a second glance on his first start since April.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
