10th (8) (66/1 +18%)Rule Of The Agency |
66/1(+18%) | (8) Rule Of The Agency 66/1, Below form tried in cheekpieces well beaten in a nursery at Musselburgh latest; blinkers first time; off a short-break; effective 7f on sound surface; bounce back needed. |

WAITING FOR ARCHIE only won by a neck over seven furlongs at Newcastle last time out, showing a willing attitude to win with a bit up his sleeve while suggesting the mile here could bring about improvement from the bottom-weight, who has only been put up 3lb. Adoramus has shown some ability, including a debut third, and he could surprise on his nursery debut. However, King Of Persia won by an eased down length at Redcar off 4lb lower and appears the bigger danger.

KENOUGH is probably the pick of these from the Flat and showed definite promise on both outings at the Curragh. The Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding ran on the opening day of the turf season and was absent until again finishing well when fourth over 1m2f last month. Danny Power scored in fine style on debut at Listowel last month and could be the main threat, while Sea Of Dubka is another to consider.

5th (4) (20/1 -11%)Vajra |
20/1(-11%) | (4) Vajra 20/1, Kalanisi mare; sister to Collanisi, moderate at 16f; dam very useful at 14f; looks an unlikely winner on debut. |

Miss Denver has been reliable in defeat over fences this year and is interesting reverting to hurdles in a winnable race. However, BLUE TOPAZ posted a better effort at Sedgefield on her most recent start and she could be tough to deal with if building on that. Having reportedly bled from the nose on her penultimate outing, there could be more to come now she had proved her wellbeing. Esther Spring is the pick of the others.

12th (5) (300/1 -140%)Massa Go Go |
300/1(-140%) | (5) Massa Go Go 300/1, 22 Apr; Masar filly; half-sister to Flying One, fair at 8f; dam useful at 12f; not easy to make a case for on debut. |

Romotoso placed on her first three starts before a disappointing effort at Southwell, where the minimum trip didn't seem to suit. However, she can go close back over six furlongs. Tradittion appears to be Tim Easterby's main hope. Assuming she bounces back to the level of her Carlisle second, she has chances. Nevertheless, LADY FOXTROT is preferred. A debut winner at Carlisle (Tradittion second), she didn't see out the seventh furlong in a much better race at Goodwood but ought to find these rivals easier to cope with.

11/8(+0%) | (2) Axel Bleue 11/8, Scored by a short-head off a 4lb lower mark at Worcester penultimate start; outpaced, unsuited by way race developed last time; effective 2m7f, may get further, acts on good; dual bumper winner remains on generous chase mark, more to come.
|PU| (1) (1/1 +33%)Limerick Leader |
1/1(+33%) | (1) Limerick Leader 1/1, Jumped boldly, out-battled and outstayed runner up when landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark at Newton Abbot last time; enjoys making it; effective at around 2 1/2m, just about gets 3m, acts on soft, good; in form, remains well treated on old efforts. |

LIMERICK LEADER had four starts in September, winning three and finishing a close second in the other. At the top of his game, it's unlikely a 4lb rise for his Newton Abbot success will be enough to anchor the rejuvenated nine-year-old, and Sean Bowen's presence is another positive. Mumford's Magic should be sharper for his comeback and can race off the same mark as when scoring at Doncaster back in February. Axel Bleue is expected to race at Worcester on Monday but would be interesting if diverted here instead.

8th (3) (10/1 +44%)Somersby Roost |
10/1(+44%) | (3) Somersby Roost 10/1, Outpaced, never in the race when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan most recent; off a short-break; effective 2m-2m4f with cut; inconsistent.

11th (9) (20/1 -11%)Cometothinkofit |
20/1(-11%) | (9) Cometothinkofit 20/1, Improved a little when well beaten in a maiden hurdle here latest; returning from a break; effective 2m, acts on good; all to prove, opening mark looks stiff. |

SILLY MONGOOSE won a Kilbeggan maiden in June and was placed in a Clonmel handicap most recently. That race has already thrown up a couple of subsequent winners, and the Pat Foley-trained gelding may prove difficult to beat. Chantilly Wings has shown plenty of promise in maiden hurdles and was again placed when switched to handicap company at Downpatrick last month. Beyond Forgiveness probably found 2m6f too far at Listowel last time and is a threat on handicap debut, while Pavilion End is another to consider.

4th (2) (15/2 15/2)I'm A Starman |
15/2(15/2) | (2) I'm A Starman 15/2, Ran to form when second beaten 19l in a handicap hurdle at Worcester latest; effective 3m on soft and good to firm; unreliable but handicapper relenting. |

JACKSTELL showed the benefit of wind surgery when he won at Stratford and stepping the seven-year-old up in trip could draw some further improvement. No More Bolero is dependable in this discipline and can make this a good test if his stamina holds out on his first attempt beyond 2m6f. However, I'm A Starman and Betty's Tiara boast more proven stamina and may pan out to be bigger dangers, in that order of preference.

Pivotal Voyage could prove popular after winning at Beverley on her only start when she was always doing enough to win by a neck. She should improve for the experience but giving 7lb to WEDYAN might prove beyond her. Slowly away at Pontefract and short of room at a crucial stage, she did well to come home a half-length second and a clearer passage could see her successful. Claudia Miss outran her 66/1 starting price when placed at Beverley and she can battle with On The Queue Tee for third.

LADY KARA has won three times over hurdles and has been threatening to open her account over the larger obstacles. Beaten less than a length when runner-up at Sedgefield six days ago, Richard Newland's grey mare is taken to go one better off an unchanged mark. Maiden hurdle winner Jamada debuts over fences with jockey bookings suggesting he's preferred to stablemate Ask A Sainte, while Four Springs looks the type to improve now chasing.

BUDDY ONE held a career-high rating of 155 over hurdles and he may have been found a good opportunity to record a sixth win under all codes. The selection was far from disgraced in the Galway Plate this summer and had Samui behind when third over hurdles at the same venue last month. Sandor Clegane should not be underestimated back over timber, while Senecia is also worthy of consideration.

Having won a couple of point-to-points over three miles earlier in the year, Carrhill is interesting back over hurdles off a competitive mark, while the stable companions Dino Moon and Elusive Knight are ones to keep any eye on in the betting. However, the vote goes to the recent third ATHENA'S DREAM, whose chance is enhanced by Megan Bevan claiming 7lb from the saddle.

New Year's Eve displayed some promise when filling fifth place on her debut at Haydock last month and is arguably the pick of those with race experience. However, a chance can be taken on LADY PHILLIPS, who is a half-sister to the 1m2f Listed winner Venetia. The daughter of Night Of Thunder could be well placed to make a winning racecourse bow. Comrade Alexi is next best.

Progressive earlier in the year when notching up four wins over fences, MOVE WITH THE BEAT should be sharper for his recent reappearance at Fontwell. Jamie Snowden's charge gets the nod off only 3lb higher than when scoring at Newton Abbot in May. The disappointing favourite at Sedgefield a fortnight ago, Dream Diamond could fare better with Sean Bowen taking over the reins, while Palamon and Jet Smart are others with a shout if back on song.

LIVE TO LAUGH showed plenty of promise when third off this mark at Listowel a couple of weeks ago and that form gives him a big chance here. Labondance had useful form in France and an initial mark of 105 could prove to be lenient. Smackwater Jack is a dual course winner and is up 5lb for last week's victory at Fairyhouse. The veteran enjoys a sound surface and will have conditions to suit once again.

Krak and DONNIE AZOFF have the most compelling clams based on recent form and are the pair to focus on. The former has been consistent since joining Dan Skelton and is capable of another bold showing under top weight. However, the latter has a more healthy strike-rate over hurdles and is fancied to atone for narrowly failing to justify favouritism in a match race at Newton Abbot. Jaramillo shades Son Of Hypnos as the best alternative, with Richard Upton's 10lb claim a notable factor.

THAT'S RANDOM made a winning handicap debut against a decent field at Doncaster in June and Harry Charlton's unexposed gelding may be able to defy a 5lb rise on this occasion. Bay Breeze arrives on the back of two wins at Hamilton last month and is an obvious threat, while last week's C&D third Fenlander and Hk Fourteen are others with strong claims.

50/1(+24%) | (1) Chase The Status 50/1, Outpaced, modest effort when comfortably held in a bumper at Worcester last time; effective 2m, acts on good; showed minor promise in points, needs more in bumpers. |

Masterius sets the standard on form, while the well-bred Chase The Status should at least be wiser after his debut under Rules at Worcester and may figure with a step forward. However, MELODYS ENCORE, whose dam is the Grade 1 winning Glens Melody, has a highly attractive pedigree for a race of this nature and could be well placed to make a winning debut for her powerful yard.

Ballinrobe bumper winner EALU TAPA ran well on his second start over hurdles when fourth to smart Flat stayer Dallas Star over 2m at Navan. He split a pair of subsequent winners and this step up in trip is likely to suit the Getaway gelding. Pat O's Rock won a 2m3f bumper easily at Kilbeggan and there are lots of winning hurdlers in her pedigree. Runner-up in three maidens this year, Doctor Elvis has a healthy rating and should not be written off.

The resolute winner on fast going over 2m3f at Warwick last time, MIRACLES DO HAPPEN ticks plenty of boxes. Raised only 3lb, Billy Aprahamian's mare can go in again. Siorai will likely have come on for her recent second at Plumpton and the four-year-old steps up in trip with a shout, while Zaraquelle won on the level during the summer and remains unexposed back over timber.

Donna Nook showed a lot more at Thirsk following a lacklustre Ripon effort and is very much respected, along with her stable companion Hostility. They've all got OVIEDO to beat, though, as he's won two of his last three starts and has built up a really strong rapport with 5lb claimer Millie Wonnacott. He was narrowly denied when on a hat-trick at Bath but could still be ahead of the assessor.

DELULU showed promise when placed in a couple of bumpers at Worcester and this half-sister to a winning hurdler/chaser should kick on now there are obstacles in the way. L'amandine's bumper win at Fontwell has been well advertised by the runner-up winning twice since. The Jamie Snowdon-trained filly would have to be of high interest if supported in the betting market. The winner of a point-to-point when last seen, Annie Mulligan is another attractive option on her Rules debut. `

Taryn Langley is an apprentice in good form but she will need inspiration to conjure a victory out of Uncle Albert, who was pulled up at Ffos Las last month and is without a win since March 2024. CUBAN FIESTA was third off this mark over C&D in September, which followed a Lingfield success for his previous trainer. He should do better after his first start in seven months and looks the one to beat. Recently second over C&D, Sanditon is an obvious rival for the Charlie Johnston team.

40/1(-43%) | (15) Bethpage Theatre 40/1, Needed run when down the field in an auction hurdle at Listowel most recent; acts on good to yielding; yet to show much, hard to make a case for. |

After a few near misses, GRANLAHAN bolted up when sent off odds-on favourite at Fairyhouse on Saturday and only has to carry a 7lb penalty. He's stepping back up in trip from 2m, which is a slight concern, but ran a cracker over an extended 2m2f when chasing home a well-treated rival at Listowel in September. Bossy Bird was a hampered second over 2m4f on her latest start in this grade at Cork in July and will appreciate dropping in class after a respectable run at Ballinrobe. Poetic Focus is up 3lb after being touched off over a longer trip at Clonmel.

6/4(-65%) | (3) Lucy Glitters 6/4, Confirmed debut level when 4l third in a Mares bumper at Uttoxeter most recent run; off a short-break; effective 2m, acts on good; leading claims in this. |

LUCY GLITTERS has placed in both starts in bumpers, including a solid third at Uttoxeter last time, and another bold bid is expected from Tom George's filly. Unflappable is a viable alternative based on a couple of third-placed efforts at Newton Abbot during the summer, while Stratford fourth Bombus Pascuorum is a likely improver and makes more appeal than Indiza.

ENGLISH TIME leaps from the page as the unexposed quantity in the race and the progressive colt gained the success his previous form deserved when breaking through at Ffos Las. Now witched to handicaps with more improvement to come, a mark of 85 looks workable and a bit of ease in the ground shouldn't be a problem either. Of the others, keep an eye on Flight Control and Astrazar.

150/1(-88%) | (10) Dusky Spyglass 150/1, Needed run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Sedgefield last time; acts on good; yet to show much, plenty to find. |

WINSTON'S OATH adapted well to a visor on his last last two starts over hurdles, bettering his second-placed finish at Fontwell last month by making a winning return to the same venue 10 days ago. With the memory of that cosy success still fresh, a 7lb rise should be manageable. Ballylicky Bay is suggested as a big danger based on potential for progression, while Dante's Inferno can be forgiven his last start (unseated the rider when the saddle slipped after two out at Hexham). He could bounce back to be a player here.

40/1(-21%) | (9) Pacific Prince 40/1, Ran to same poor level beaten 4l off this mark at Ffos Las last time; yet to find suitable conditions; has shown very little in career. |

Snooze Lane has four wins here, all off higher marks but all over further, and he might be tapped for speed at a crucial stage. Aspire To Glory made all to win over C&D last month off 3lb lower and, if he gets a soft lead, he may prove hard to catch. However, if HOMME DE FER gives his all he could be successful. Fourth at Windsor when weakening over a mile, his two career victories have been over this trip and he appears the likelier winner.

LEO MESSY should have more to offer after just three runs in handicaps. He stayed on well over 2m1f when placed at Cork and his front-running fourth over 2m3f at Navan is solid form for the grade, with the winner following up next time and the second running well at Listowel. The six-year-old can turn around a narrow deficit with the much more exposed Navan third Tuckmill. No Big Deal was a winner last October at Clonmel and comes here on the back of a good effort at Gowran. Las Brisas Boy is another to take seriously.

NEW OBJECTIVE has clearly improved for stepping up to 10 furlongs, building on a creditable Newcastle fourth when striking over the same C&D last time. Now he's got his head in front and confidence is high, he could kick on assuming he can transfer that good all-weather form back to the turf. Chances are also given to We've Got This, Ataturk and Grindleton.

6th (4) (11/2 -10%)Shorten Sassy |
11/2(-10%) | (4) Shorten Sassy 11/2, Raced lazily when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Ludlow last time; effective around 3m, acts on good to soft and good; inconsistent in short career. |

Only a half-length separated Luminaries and EAST EAGLE when they finished second and third at Sedgefield last month. However, the latter was in front until the closing stages of that race and may be able to turn the tables with this shorter trip in his favour. Luminaries subsequently won a conditional riders' event at Kelso and must be respected as he retains the same mark. Trigger The Light and Shorten Sassy are the most appealing alternatives.

10/1(+17%) | (3) Cosmic Clarets 10/1, Too much to do having met trouble when closing, returned to form beaten a length off a 1lb lower mark here last time; suited by 6f and a sound surface; looks fairly weighted and could build on latest trying this longer trip for the first time.

The Fahey yard won this last season and has every chance of a repeat with SUPREME DANCER. Second at Ayr in July and a winner at Carlisle over this trip in August, an added 4lb seems fair with the runner-up winning since. The in-form Royal County Glory, who was successful by a neck at Kempton, carries a 6lb penalty and is forced to give the selection 10lb, while Cosmic Clarets keeps knocking on the door, but is yet to record a victory and may follow them home.

125/1(-89%) | (14) Peace Rose 125/1, Never involved, poor effort well beaten in a Mares bumper at Listowel only start; all to prove. |

BACK IN FAVOUR has been running creditably against geldings and might be able to strike here in mares' company. Third at the Galway Festival, she filled the same position behind a smart newcomer at Listowel and the runner-up landed a maiden hurdle last week. Eastern Whisper is a newcomer to note with Patrick Mullins in the plate. The Sea The Stars five-year-old is out of a Listed-placed, 1m4f winner in France, and the jockey booking is really interesting. There was market support for Junction Road before her debut fifth at Down Royal and she has since joined Henry de Bromhead.

Ceo Stealth Mode was an easy winner at Sligo last year and not disgraced on his first start since when fifth at Newcastle. He can go well but has to give plenty of weight to the maidens which might be his undoing. Bella Angelina weakened late on when second over the Carlisle mile and can do better over this shorter trip, but SOFT LANDING gets the nod. Headed late on when narrowly beaten over C&D despite being weak in the market, nominal improvement would see her home in front.

300/1(+0%) | (9) Trust In Far 300/1, Ran to same poor level well beaten in a novice at Chester latest; yet to find suitable conditions; small, limited and very hard to make a case for. |

Al Widyan is one to watch in the market for the Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy combination, with the return to the all-weather a positive given the colt's best effort so far was a Kempton second. Cosmocrat was sent off at 80/1 before finishing a running on second here over five furlongs and he can prove the danger to MUHANDES. Third at Catterick on his second start when weakening late on, this drop back to six furlongs could see him make it third time lucky.

C&D winner Ottoman is one to consider despite unseating Harry Vigors at Haydock last time, but both his previous wins came in lesser company off lower marks and others are preferred. Roger Varian has been among the winners recently and although ZACHARY HICKES may look in the grip of the handicapper, his third at Yarmouth last month is the best recent form on offer and after only six starts, there could be improvement to follow. Percy Jones is equally consistent but may have to settle for third place again.

NEPTUNE LEGEND has been set tougher assignments since winning in this lowly grade at Bath back in July. He returned the easy winner on that occasion, so a 3lb higher mark here may not prove too much of an inconvenience and Billy Loughnane does the steering. In The City was only beaten a head when last seen over track and trip and is no forlorn hope in first-time blinkers, while Enter Sandman steps back up in distance with a shout.

Aurelune was no match for the winner when second at Hamilton, but that was her first start since July and she could be thereabouts at the finish once again. Saying that, marginal preference is for COXY'S STAR who found only one too good over C&D recently, and the daughter of Sea The Moon looks on a workable mark on that evidence. Sailor Batt could prove the pick of the remainder back on the all-weather, though he remains a 12 race maiden.

CURRUMBIN is taken to bring a frustrating run to end. Second on his last four outings, including a narrow defeat over C&D, a tongue-tie is applied for the first time and that may well give Michael Keady's charge the edge. Midnight Media has been in the mix over shorter trips of late and could shape well again under Oisin Murphy, while Pipily and Nymphaea are worthy of a second glance.
Ths is the racecard key.
