There were 53 Races on Thursday 2nd October 2025 across 7 meetings. There was 8 races at Bellewstown, 8 races at Salisbury, 7 races at Nottingham, 7 races at Southwell, 7 races at Clonmel, 8 races at Chelmsford City, 8 races at Newcastle, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.

Despite an obvious concern with her wide draw, the Johnny Murtagh-trained WAR SAINT is taken to gain a first career success. An eye-catcher when staying on late to finish fifth at Down Royal on her handicap debut, the daughter of St Mark's Basilica was unlucky in running before reaching the frame at Naas last time. Down The Glen ran a big race on handicap debut at Killarney in August, before disappointing on his next start. A reproduction of that earlier effort would see the Ross O'Sullivan-trained grey hold strong claims. Runner-up in the aforementioned Naas race, the Matthew Smith-trained Ella's Gold has every chance of reversing that form with the winner Synners Kid.

SYNNERS KID, Ella's Gold and War Saint fought out the finish at Naas and Joseph O'Brien's colt is fancied to confirm the form

St Anton has shown ability in both previous starts and has to be noted, while James Choice put in a promising display when sixth on his racecourse bow at Sandown. However, a chance can be taken on RUNMAN, who lacks race experience but he catches the eye being a full-brother to the Group 3 winner Majestic Glory and a half-brother to the Royal Ascot scorer Running Lion. Venetia is another noteworthy newcomer.

Ralph Beckett has done extremely well with fillies in this race and the attractively bred VENETIA is taken to make a winning start.
Class & Speed Card

Ralph Beckett landed this contest in 2023 and could do so once more courtesy of LADY ROISIA. No match for the subsequent Rockfel winner Zanthos and the similarly promising Touleen on her debut at Leicester, she certainly has less on her plate here and is expected to find the required improvement. Although a beaten favourite on both of her racecourse appearances to date, Enchanted Queen remains of considerable interest, while market support for newcomer Littlecote would be noteworthy.

Leicester third LADY ROISIA could find enough to beat Enchanted Queen. The newcomers might put a different complexion on things.
Class & Speed Card

Both Lightning Flash and JET PATROL are able to compete from an unchanged mark having each struck over hurdles on their latest outing. Dropped in trip ahead of his chasing debut the former merits respect, but the latter can come out on top. James Owen's charge won comfortably over today's trip at Plumpton on only his third start for the yard and reverts to fences with solid claims. Getaway Jewel heads the remainder.

The pick of the well-in duo, LIGHTNING FLASH can strike first time over fences. Course specialist Neigh Botha rates next best.
Class & Speed Card

Although it is difficult to have confidence given her profile, this looks a good opportunity for TSWALU to gain an overdue success. Sent off favourite on seven of her eight starts to date, the Joseph O'Brien-trained filly has proven rather costly for punters. Runner-up on five occasions the daughter of Justify clearly has plenty of ability despite failing to get her head in front thus far. With an official rating of 80, she sets the standard in this moderate contest. Joyful Princess boasts a similar profile in that she has reached the frame in six of her nine starts. She certainly has the ability to win races going forward. Tea Rose is lightly raced and open to improvement.

Perhaps this is the turn of JOYFUL PRINCESS, who proved she handles any ground at Listowel and has been holding her form well this term
Class & Speed Card

POETRY OF TIME was only beaten a short-head into second on his racecourse bow at Thirsk a couple of weeks ago and William Haggas' colt appears to be the one to beat on that evidence. The main threat is likely to be Akho Mezzna, who has run to a similar level in all three previous starts, while any market support for Bu Hail or Deadline would have to be noted.

Akho Mezzna should go well again but POETRY OF TIME looked very promising when finishing well to go close at Thirsk last month.
Class & Speed Card

On his first start over flights in more than six years, JERANDME ran a cracker to finish third at Sligo last month. An eight-time winner, the 11-year-old clearly retains plenty of ability and it'll be disappointing if he's not involved towards the business end in a contest of this quality. Successful in a claiming hurdle at Roscommon in July, Ahead Of The Posse is an obvious danger, while Oh So Charming, Rexem, Boston Jury and Nitty Gritty are others for the shortlist. A winner at Killarney in July, the latter returns to much calmer waters after disappointing in a competitive 20-runner contest at Galway on his latest outing.

Pulled-up over fences last time after making mistakes, course winner WOODSTREAM LAD could return to form back in this discipline.
Class & Speed Card

Beaten only a neck at Windsor last time, AKIRRA could take all the beating. Ground conditions will differ here but a bit of cut shouldn't be an issue and he's preferred to Zen Diva, who could benefit from a drop to the minimum trip. Dance Of Angels offered plenty of encouragement on her introduction at Sandown last month and she must also enter calculations.

Windsor runner-up AKIRRA sets a fairly useful standard and gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

Shantou Lucky only joined James Owen's team last month, but it didn't take him long to notch up a four-timer. The eight-year-old was hit with a 10lb rise having won in emphatic fashion at Newton Abbot latest and although another bold bid looks assured, FINN LOUGH gets the nod. The son of Milan hit the woodwork in a competitive handicap at Aintree when last seen in May so is expected to go very close from an unchanged mark. Tiger Orchid could also have a say.

If the latest re-raise thwarts Shantou Lucky and Finn Lough has an off day, this could go to DO NO WRONG, 2-2 in C&D 0-120s.
Class & Speed Card

A reproduction of his recent fourth placed finish at Gowran Park should see WASITTHEWAY open his account. Wearing a first-time visor on that occasion, the Tom McCourt-trained gelding kept on well in the closing stages. Carrying 2lb overweight at the Kilkenny track, he can race off his correct mark now. Having shown up well against his elders, the three-year-old should appreciate being back in his own age group. Edergole's Angel and Petite Madame appeal most of the remainder.

After a promising recent run at Gowran when dropped back to a mile, WASITTHEWAY is worth chancing and he should get similar conditions
Class & Speed Card

Decem Starr sets the standard having taken a big step forwards to fill second place over 7f at Leicester last month and a repeat of that would give him a big chance. That said, it would be no surprise to see MERTOUN make a winning debut. The son of Oasis Dream cost 100,000gns as a yearling and is the first foal out of a Listed-placed mare. The shortlist is completed by Battosai, Hurricane Laughter and Phantom Shadow.

Group-entered DECEM STARR is the call after his recent second but newcomers Mertoun and Hurricane Laughter need betting checks.
Class & Speed Card

Gavin Cromwell's COURT CANYON might be able to take this on his first try over flights. Out of five-time winner Elusive Ivy, who Cromwell also trained, the selection won a point-to-point on debut, before disappointing in a bumper at the Punchestown Festival. A much more encouraging fifth on his most recent start at Cork, he was a place behind subsequent Roscommon winner Walks The Talk. Five of these clashed at Navan last month, with Shing Shang Lily faring best on that occasion. The Cian Collins-trained four-year-old was just ahead of Garnetot and Lion Of The Desert at the Proudstown Park venue, and there is again likely to be little between the trio. Point-to-point winners Katie Daniels and Bly Manor are others for the shortlist.

COURT CANYON makes most appeal. He won his sole point start and after a poor bumper debut shaped much better at Cork last time.
Class & Speed Card

While others have struggled to win recently, RUM THERAPY has been on an upward curve. A second placed effort at Carlisle sandwiched in between Beverley and Thirsk successes underpins just that, and Tim Easterby's youngster should have more to offer despite a further 4lb rise. Kesta has proven incredibly consistent so he's unlikely to be far away gain, and stablemate Airside could also have a say.

Tim Easterby has tasted recent success in this nursery and might have the answer to it again with the progressive RUM THERAPY.
Class & Speed Card

A wind operation appears to have worked the oracle for HEAVEN SMART. He recorded a cosy success at Perth last week and while Brian Hughes keeps the winning partnership intact, a 7lb penalty might not stop him from going in again. Cawthorne Cracker was beaten a neck at Uttoxeter last time and steps up in trip with a chance, while Atreides, who returned to form at Fontwell last month, should be on the premises too.

The win penalty seems unlikely to prevent the resurgent HEAVEN SMART from doubling up. Atreides is 0-18 but still feared most.
Class & Speed Card

Galway winner STORM AVERTED can follow up for local trainer Michael Mulvany. A daughter of Inns Of Court, the four-year-old quickened up well inside the final furlong to gain a first career victory at the festival. Although now 7lb higher, the form of that contest has been well advertised by a couple of those that finished in behind. Given her largely progressive profile, it would be no surprise to see the filly step up again. Course and distance winner Empress Artemis has to be respected for leading connections. Fourth in a stronger race on Champions Weekend, the three-year-old will find this easier. Fast Tara, another former winner here, could be well handicapped returned to this venue.

ELECTRIC BEAUTY bolted up from a wide draw at Ballybrit last month and her race at Punchestown probably came too soon
Class & Speed Card

Ralph Beckett fields a couple of highly notable debutants and while the regally-owned Queen's Companion has plenty to offer on paper, MUSIC ACADEMY could be the pick of the locally-based trainer's pair. A 600,000gns yearling, the daughter of Kingman is a full-sister to Group 3 winner Parent's Prayer that should have no issues starting out over this intermediate trip. Black Chiffon is another noted starting out at a winnable level, while the attractively-bred Thursday Girl also makes the shortlist.

This could go to TAHALEL. She has been absent since Royal Ascot but her debut second at Haydock in May worked out extremely well.
Class & Speed Card

Many of these disappointed when last seen, with CHOSEN SHANT one of them. Up to a career high mark of 107 after back to back wins at Wexford, she finished down the field at Listowel on her latest start. She mightn't have enjoyed the testing conditions at the Kerry circuit and back on quicker ground now, an improved performance can be expected. In truth, a case can be made for almost the entire field, with top-weight Jeaniemacaroney sure to have plenty of supporters. A beaten favourite at Kilbeggan on her latest start, it'll be interesting to see if the application of cheekpieces have the desired effect on Smiling Bess. Already twice successful this season, Queenofthelodge warrants the utmost respect, while course winner Colleen Danu and Leah's Contessa are others for the shortlist.

A tongue tie is added to QUEENOFTHELODGE following her uncompleted start at Killarney latest and she may resume winning ways
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up at Epsom most recently, where the form has worked out a treat since, BONA FORTUNA could have been let off easily with a 1lb drop in the ratings and he can get back to winning ways for his in-form yard. A determined winner at Doncaster last month, Charlie Mason can follow the selection home off 3lb higher, along with May Blossom, who has a similar rise to contend with after her victory at Redcar. Others to note include Aberama Gold, Blind Beggar and Spirit Of Applause.

Although BONA FORTUNA's latest second came in a small field the form has proved strong and he looks well treated under a 5lb claimer.
Class & Speed Card

Although pulled up over fences when last seen in May, switching to hurdles on the back of an absence could benefit YES INDEED. Martin Keighley's charge is 8lb lower in this sphere and looks particularly well handicapped judged on previously exploits, while the booking of Sean Bowen could be noteworthy. Bluegrass drops is class so must enter calculations, with Nowmelad suggested as the pick of the remainder.

This could be a good opportunity for race-fit bottomweight FORGET THE WAY, who posted two perfectly respectable efforts this summer.
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up at Fairyhouse last month, the veteran ONLY SPOOFING can register a 15th career victory. Although not the force of old, the Kevin Coleman-trained gelding won at Musselburgh off an 8lb higher mark back in April. Having shaped with plenty of promise on more than one occasion of late, he could still have too much class for these younger rivals. C&D winner Art Of Unity has to be of interest on stable debut. While an outside draw is undoubtedly a hindrance, the 10-year-old has the services of leading apprentice Nicola Burns. A lightly-raced three-year-old, Steel Magnolia has to be respected for in-form trainer Willie McCreery.

The tentative vote goes to SHE'S SMART, who should be well suited by a strongly run race over this trip
Class & Speed Card

The progressive SWORD MAKER was visually impressive when he pulled away from the opposition to register a cosy success in a nursery at Doncaster 20 days ago. The son of Pinatubo faces a stiffer test but could be up to giving weight away at this stage. The unbeaten Pilu has course experience and is dangerous to underestimate despite the official ratings suggesting he needs a big step forward. The class-dropping First Legion could have a bigger say than American Gulf at this level.

Preference is for PILU who made it 2-2 when making all in a C&D novice last time and could have lots more left in the tank.
Class & Speed Card

HOPE SHE FLIES was entered for this prior to her breakthrough win at Roscommon on Monday so it could turn out to be a well-executed plan by connections. Upped 10lb for that all-the-way success, she carries a 7lb penalty here. A close fourth at Downpatrick on his latest start and with Eoin Staples again on board, Newport is the second choice. Demanding Gerry, Backwithyourown and Jaadil all filled the runner-up spot when last seen and it will come as no surprise if any of them manages to go a place better. Sixth in what was probably a stronger contest at Listowel, Polly Poppins warrants respect. Handicap debutant Le Diablo is another for the shortlist.

Preference is for DEMANDING GERRY, runner-up the last twice and hopefully the ground stays on the better side of good for her.
Class & Speed Card

This can go the way of ROCK N ROLL PINKIE, who scored easily over C&D in June. Twice a winner at York since, including last time out over further, Ivan Furtado's charge is narrowly preferred to In The Breeze, who impressed when getting back to winning ways over 1m4f at Pontefract last month, for which a 5lb rise is offset by the claim of Warren Fentiman. Not beaten far at Haydock last Friday, Gentle Warrior completes the shortlist, along with Ripon winner The Crafty Mole.

Others need a second look in this Final but the principals appear to be ROCK N ROLL PINKIE, The Crafty Mole and Gentle Warrior.
Class & Speed Card

Not a tall order set by those with experience, so it might pay to side with MASKED MAN. An emphatic winner of a point-to-point at Stowlin in May, the son of Masked Marvel is related to three separate winners and wouldn't have to be anything out of the ordinary to make a successful debut. Queensland Boy stayed well on the Flat and could have something to offer in this sphere, while wind surgery could spark an improved performance from At Mangan Bridge.

This looks good for Irish point winner MASKED MAN on hurdling/rules debut. Better jumping may net Queensland Boy the silver medal.
Class & Speed Card

The Jessica Harrington-trained SEA CORAL can gain a second career win. Successful over course and distance in her maiden in July, the daughter of Galiway was highly tried in Listed company on her next start. Although only finishing sixth on that occasion, the three-year-old was far from disgraced in being beaten less than seven lengths by the winner. Entitled to be all the better for that experience, the lightly-raced individual is open to further improvement. Angelo Pio saw his winning run come to an end at Down Royal in July but the form of that race has worked out subsequently. He proved his current wellbeing when third at the Curragh recently. Himalayan Heights is another with every chance.

Joseph O'Brien's first-string ANGELO PIO got firmly back on track with a narrow defeat at the Curragh last time and remains unexposed
Class & Speed Card

Under The Twilight won this off 2lb lower in 2023 and is dangerous to ignore back at her seemingly favourite venue, while Rock Iguana is unexposed and could be anything on his handicap debut. Wheels Of Fire also warrants close inspection after improved recent form, whereas Buccabay can have a say off 2lb below his last winning mark. Nevertheless, ANOTHER ABBOT was the convincing winner of two of his last three starts and he looks the most upwardly-mobile contender in a very tight race to call.

The William Haggas-trained ANOTHER ABBOT (nap) is a 3yo on the up and can make it 3-4 over 6f. Under The Twilight is a danger.
Class & Speed Card

POETIC FOCUS should give a good account of herself in this competitive affair. The five-year-old ran her best race to date when fourth of 18 at Galway on her latest start and with Eoin Staples claiming a valuable 7lb, it will be disappointing if she's not involved towards the business end. Not seen since finishing a good fourth on her handicap debut at Limerick in April, it will be interesting to see how Great Bird fares, while Smallcraftwarning, Coffeys Forge, Arrycan and Wing Back are other leading hopes. The latter made the breakthrough at Downpatrick before finishing a close third when bidding to follow up at the same venue.

Off the mark immediately over fences in May, COFFEYS FORGE is lightly raced for his age and could be still on the improve
Class & Speed Card

Red Tsarina is penalised for winning over C&D last time. She could be in the mix once again, but WILD DAHLIA is taken to make the most of the weight concession. Nothing went right for the Haggas filly at Chester last month, but she's better judged on her debut third over 7f at Newmarket behind the progressive Inis Mor and breeding suggests this extra yardage will suit. Iceni Queen is preferred to Urban Law of the newcomers.

The vote goes to WILD DAHLIA, who sets the standard on her debut third at Newmarket and things didn't go her way at Chester last time.
Class & Speed Card

CIARA PEARL finished a creditable fifth in a Listed contest at Yarmouth last time, given she had plenty to find at the weights. A similar effort could see her bang there back in handicap company, and her C&D success in May offers further encouragement. The progressive Double Red may prove competitive in this higher grade, having won with plenty left in the tank at Epsom last time, while Crowd Quake is another on the upgrade worthy of consideration.

Most bring serious interest but CROWD QUAKE (nap) looks set to put up yet another bold show, bidding for his eighth win of the season.
Class & Speed Card

AN BRADAN FEASA dug deep to score under champion jockey Sean Bowen at Worcester last month. A 5lb rise looks fair and, provided his stamina holds out over this longer trip, the Camelot gelding could go in again. Belvedere Blast and Heather Honey, who completed her hat-trick at Bangor latest, can make things difficult for the selection for all that an ease in distance might not be ideal.

Heather Honey was in fine form over 2m7f in the spring but AN BRADAN FEASA (nap) still looks well treated after last month's 2m win.
Class & Speed Card

A winner over hurdles at Ballinrobe in August, BHEAN SAIBHRE looks well handicapped back on the Flat. Despite her lowly rating in this sphere, the daughter of Decorated Knight showed that she had races in her when runner-up on her latest outing on the level. While a high draw is cause for some concern, rider Jack Cleary should be able to smuggle her into the contest before making use of her proven stamina in the latter stages. Recent Downpatrick hurdles winner Arcland also returns to the Flat off a nice mark. Previously an infrequent winner, the gelding has scored twice since joining trainer Gavin Cromwell. C&D winner Celtic Druid is sure to have been aimed at this meeting.

This can go to ARCLAND (nap) who was running well on the Flat before a hurdle win latest and the ground will be fine for him
Class & Speed Card

Narrowly denied at Bath last time out, GOODWOOD MOGUL could be well treated off a mark of 80 on his handicap debut and the booking of Oisin Murphy catches the eye as he looks to break the maiden at the sixth time of asking. Back to form with a creditable third at Newbury last month, Gloryous can follow the selection home, along with Grecian Legacy, who may be suited by dropping back in trip.

Approval remains of interest but GRECIAN LEGACY has his ideal conditions for the first time since his May win and gets the vote.
Class & Speed Card

Turned out again quickly after an impressive success over C&D last week, COEDANA is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming and can land the hat-trick under a 6lb penalty. Back to winning ways with a taking performance in a seller over 1m3f at Hamilton recently, Arkinthestars is a leading contender, along with Team Player, who was a determined scorer at Lingfield latest.

All of these are considered but it was hard not to be impressed with COEDANA (nap) last time and she is taken to complete the hat-trick.
Class & Speed Card

Out of action for over two and a half years, OCEAN OF MERCY has been in fine form since returning in May. Making the breakthrough on his penultimate start, he since followed up on his first try over fences. Now bidding to complete a hat-trick, he is likely to be well-suited by this step up in trip to 3m. Closely matched on their run at Galway, Donnie Devito and What's Up Darling are obvious contenders. The Gordon Elliott-trained latter is the highest rated of those with a mark and in first time cheekpieces, he'll be well-fancied to follow-up on his Killarney success. Back over fences for the first time since June, Baltic Bird warrants respect, as does Ambitious Fellow, who finished second in the Connacht National on his penultimate start.

Lightly raced OCEAN OF MERCY (nap) has returned from a break in red hot form and there is likely more improvement to come
Class & Speed Card

LADY KODIAC won in fine style over C&D three weeks ago. James Tate's progressive filly looks one to keep on the right side of on that evidence and will take the beating in this company, despite her 7lb penalty. Whiskey Kisses was noted finishing strongly for fourth behind the selection and could feature again, while Sunlit Sea is related to winning sprinters and is a newcomer to keep an eye on.

Top of the list is LADY KODIAC who was an emphatic winner over C&D last month and sets the standard under a penalty.
Class & Speed Card

ZAPPHIRE brings solid form to the table and could prove the one to side with. The daughter of Zoffany finished a resolute third in a competitive handicap at York last time and remains of interest only 2lb higher than her success at Windsor before that. Port Erin has a hike in the ratings to contend with after returning an impressive winner at Sandown, while Duke's Command faced a tougher task most recently and is also noted.

This looks wide open but the vote goes to HARSWELL RUBY who is 3lb well in off the same mark as for her near-miss at Redcar last week.
Class & Speed Card

SHIBUYA SONG largely struggled after winning at Worcester last September, but she's now 2lb lower than for that success and could make a belated return to form. Veteran Stripe Of Honour has won when fresh previously so he could pose a threat to the selection, despite being 1lb out of the handicap. Matoury and Jager Time have few miles on the clock and are just two others to consider.

This looks easier than the recent Uttoxeter contest in which SCUDAMORE was a very respectable fifth, and he gets the vote.
Class & Speed Card

A C&D winner off 2lb lower in April, EASTERN WIND can add another success to her tally. Having landed her maiden hurdle at Tipperary on her next start, the Tom McCourt-trained mare has mixed it between both codes in recent outings. Still nicely treated on the level despite winning five times, the daughter of Farhh can enjoy a popular local success. Despite being a 25-race maiden, the John McConnell-trained Hangry hinted that he could be about to make the breakthrough when staying on well to finish fourth at Down Royal recently. Spanish John arrives here in decent heart having reached the frame over hurdles at Roscommon on Monday.

This looks like the weaker of the two divisions with a chance taken on SECRET ROCK who was only beaten 1l on Monday
Class & Speed Card

A tentative vote goes to MACARI, who scored over C&D back in May and showed up well when third from the front at Doncaster most recently. Going back up in trip is bound to suit the son of Sixties Icon, who is preferred to taking Bath winner Fair Dinkum. Diamond Bay and Just An Hour are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

C&D winner MACARI was a good third at Doncaster three weeks ago and earns the vote ahead of the 3yo Schemaya.
Class & Speed Card

Stepping up in trip looks like a good move for HOOD WINK and he narrowly sets the standard on the back of a narrow defeat over 1m at Redcar last week. Tim Easterby's charge gets the vote ahead of Beverley second Due To Shine and Captain Bruce, who has strong claims if bouncing back to the form of his success at Chelmsford in August.

None of these are overly convincing but DUE TO SHINE has a pedigree that suggests she can do better stepped up to this trip.
Class & Speed Card

SPELLACY'S CROSS is the suggestion in this weak affair. Runner-up four times this year, the Jimmy Barcoe-trained six-year-old certainly wouldn't be winning out of turn. With seven victories between them, Romella and Baltinglass Hill are obvious dangers. Although yet to win over fences, the latter wasn't beaten too far when fifth at Tramore on his latest start. Sent off favourite on his debut for Gavin Cromwell at Punchestown in January, Toon Town made a bad mistake three out and was soon pulled up. Now tried in a first-time tongue-strap, it will be interesting to see how he fares. Sea Of Doubt, Andyourbirdcansing and Applejack Poet are others capable of making an impact.

It wasn't the fault of SEA OF DOUBT when unseating on her chasing debut and she ran a solid race for a long way last time
Class & Speed Card

MEHMAS AIR FORCE could only manage third back in maiden company at Brighton. However, that form looks stronger in hindsight, given the subsequent success of the runner-up, and her earlier placed effort in a nursery at Newbury points to a bold bid from Richard Hughes' filly. Uncertainty faced a tougher assignment last time and is one to note now handicapping, while Dandy Speed steps up in distance with a shout.

The vote goes to HOUDINI MISS, who was a clear third at Southwell last week and is 3b well in on this step back up in trip.
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up in what seemed like a strong contest at Ayr, the third has won comfortably since, MAGIC BOX looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to return to winning ways and the booking of Jason Hart is a positive one. Stepping up in trip and making his handicap bow, following a determined success over 6f at Newmarket in August, First Time is taken to uphold form with Gouken (third).

A tidy little nursery but ADVERTISED got no run in a big sales race last time and looks interesting on his debut in this sphere.
Class & Speed Card

MALLORCA displayed plenty of promise when a short-head second to the subsequent Group 3 winner Merchant on his debut at Wolverhampton in December. With that experience under his belt, the half-brother to the multiple Group 1 winner Too Darn Hot could prove very hard to beat. That said, Freddie's Star may give him plenty to think about, while any market support for Kartini would have to be noted.

Preference is for MALLORCA, whose debut effort was the best form on offer and he may have more improvement in him.
Class & Speed Card

Despite running green and being disqualified for interference in a maiden at Sandown latest, CORINTH readily sets the standard. That was a step forward from his debut fourth in a class 2 event at the same venue in July. The son of Dubawi could be hard to beat now he is more knowledgeable. As the rest with experience need to find some improvement, it would be no surprise to see the newcomers Balkadisha and Be Patient fight it out for second.

It's impossible to get away from CORINTH and he can atone for being disqualified last time.
Class & Speed Card

SUMMERTIME BLUES arrives here on the back of two victories in recent months and even a 5lb rise for the latest of those wins may not be enough to stop him from making it a hat-trick. The recent Kempton second Flag Carrier is likely to be in the mix once again off the same mark, while Bold Suitor edges out Capuchinero to be the pick of the remainder.

Another chance is given to CAPTAIN PARMA who has been gelded since a poor handicap debut run having shown promise on the AW before that.
Class & Speed Card

GALAXY ZOO sometimes does herself no favours at the start, which was highly evident when she reared exiting the stalls when on a hat-trick at York last time. That was in a much deeper race and the daughter of Zoustar, who has won two of her four starts on the all-weather, looks worth another chance now dropping in class. Heavenly Heather and Al Joory can give the selection plenty to think about.

This can go to AL JOORY, who didn't get the best of runs when second over C&D last time when three of today's rivals were behind her.
Class & Speed Card

CLOVER TIME bounced back to form when second at Lingfield last month. He remains open to improvement and makes plenty of appeal off just 1lb higher. Sir Rodneyredblood came agonisingly close to a ninth Chelmsford triumph over 5f three weeks ago and won't go down without a fight, while Profit Street and Wallop have to enter the equation as well.

Making his stable debut from a very tempting mark, PROFIT STREET may provide James Owen with yet another success story.
Class & Speed Card

A C&D winner on his penultimate start, LET'S GO HUGO went down fighting when second under a penalty back here last Friday and looks worth persevering with while he remains in good heart. Nudged up 2lb and handily drawn in stall 11, the Ollie Pears-trained gelding has plenty in his favour with 5lb claimer Tom Kiely-Marshall retaining the ride. Our Absent Friends, Mattice and Startling also turn out quickly after last-start wins and command respect.

A good clutch of these are in form but LET'S GO HUGO was claimed on the line over C&D on Friday and gets to race off a 2lb lower mark.
Class & Speed Card

On target at Lingfield before following up at Newcastle next time, PARISH COUNCILLOR appeals as the one to beat again. James Owen's gelding must now shoulder a 5lb penalty but that should be no barrier to further success, and a return to further will do his chances no harm either. Meet Me In Meraki continues to run well in defeat and is capable of being in the mix, but Zolder, who steps up in trip having kept on into third over the mile at Kempton latest, could be a bigger threat.

This can go to PARISH COUNCILLOR (nap) who is in such good form that it's hard to take him on even with a penalty.
Class & Speed Card

Ey Up He's A Star got off the mark over C&D last week and has to be noted, but a 6lb penalty is a concern. With that in mind, preference is for ANTHROPOLOGIST, who was only beaten a neck into second at Wolverhampton last time and arrives here 3lb well-in. Call Me Betty also hit the crossbar on her latest outing and is another to note.

Anthropologist and CALL ME BETTY are both 3lb ahead of the handicapper after running well in defeat last week.
Class & Speed Card

SUMMER HEAT struggled on her handicap bow at Leicester but she was caught wide for much of that contest and the effort might be worth forgiving. Berthed in stall two today that shouldn't be an issue and if able to build on earlier promise shown, she looks to have a chance from her current mark. Sansanetti made it three wins from five in handicaps when on target at Lingfield latest so she merits respect raised a further 2lb, while others to note include Mandana and Suhub.

It could be worth siding with TUESDAYS CHILD. George Boughey's filly is on a competitive mark and looks interesting back up in trip.
Class & Speed Card

SEED INVESTOR bounced back to form when winning over C&D last time and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for the three-year-old to follow up, despite a 4lb rise. The main threat could prove to be Suzette after her third over an extended mile at Beverley recently, although Pacifist and Bun Bang Fai are others who arrive with valid form claims.

The in-form pair, Pacifist and Seed Investor, both have claims but TERRAPIN is taken to get off the mark on his handicap debut.
Ths is the racecard key.
