There were 29 Races on Sunday 5th October 2025 across 4 meetings. There was 8 races at Tipperary, 8 races at Uttoxeter, 7 races at Killarney, 6 races at Kelso, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.
The data in the racecards below is for the past year. View the racecard key.

Despite beating just two home on his introduction at Leopardstown in August, CLARET receives the vote. Showing obvious signs of greenness on that occasion, the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt is almost certainly capable of better. It has to be a slight concern that the son of Wootton Bassett doesn't hold any fancy entries going forward but this doesn't look the strongest of races for the grade. Third on both outings to date, the Joseph O'Brien-trained Acclamatic should be involved under Declan McDonogh. First-time cheekpieces could well bring about further improvement from the Acclamation colt. Fits Perfect, a half-brother to a black-type mare, also has to be respected on debut.

CLARET ran green on debut but Ballydoyle's runners often improve plenty from their first runs and his half-sister relished heavy ground
Class & Speed Card

This can go the way of RACE TO BASE, who was last seen scoring from a subsequent winner at Hereford in April and is bred to relish the switch to hurdles as a former point-to-point winner. The son of Vadamos gets the vote ahead of Tiptoptim, who is another making his hurdles bow after an easy bumper success at Newcastle in March. Dropping significantly in trip on his second start for new connections after finishing second here last time out, De Temps En Temps may also have a say in proceedings.

The best form belongs to DE TEMPS EN TEMPS and it was a solid enough first run for his new yard here last month.
Class & Speed Card

Although unable to justify favouritism at Downpatrick in August, GALILEO SPRINGS offered plenty of encouragement on that second-placed effort. Martin Brassil's mare is open to improvement and this could prove a suitable opportunity for some compensation. Crystabel was running a sound race but for falling at the last flight here 43 days ago and is feared most, ahead of Jazzy Rock.

The 100-rated GALILEO SPRINGS ran okay on her sole previous start on soft and she can get off the mark
Class & Speed Card

Dramatic License heads over from Ireland after winning at Downpatrick but he only got up to score by a neck and may have to settle for a place giving 7lb to all of his rivals. GREAT FLEET won his bumper at Market Rasen before finishing ninth at Newbury, but the point-to-point second should be a different proposition upped in trip over hurdles. Conman John seems the pick of the Russell/Scudamore trio and could run into a place.

Back in calmer waters, CONMAN JOHN looks particularly interesting. Great Fleet and Dramatic License look the main dangers.
Class & Speed Card

With ground conditions very much in her favour, AKECHETA can follow up her recent win at Gowran Park. Travelling strongly throughout that latter race, the Kevin Coleman-trained mare led over two furlongs out, before staying on to good effect. Given the way the five-year-old saw out that contest, she should relish stepping back up in trip here. Already a maiden winner at this track, the daughter of Sioux Nation looks to have leading claims. Fourth in the Irish Cambridgeshire in August, the Dermot Weld-trained Coeur d'Or ran another solid race when runner-up last time. He retains plenty of ability despite his advancing years. Rhythm King, a five-time winner who enjoys testing conditions, is also worthy of attention.

IMMUTABLE (nap) will love the ground, is preferred by Gary Carroll and he should improve plenty for his Galway comeback run
Class & Speed Card

FORTUNE DE MER may have disappointed when last seen in the Champion Bumper, but he was a Listed winner in that sphere last year and this appeals as an ideal starting point to his hurdling career. A determined bumper winner at Fakenham when last seen in February, Kefir D'oudairies must enter calculations for his leading connections, while Granpa Ger is an experienced sort from Ireland that looks an intriguing recruit to the Belinda Clarke stable.

Judged on bumper exploits, FORTUNE DE MER has the most talent of these and he should be hard to beat.
Class & Speed Card

A return to the Eoin McCarthy stable proved just the trick for recent Listowel winner CARLA'S PET and there could be more to come. That was the six-year-old's second outing in handicap company and she scored with enough in hand to suggest that an 8lb higher mark is manageable. Shannon Bank travelled kindly on her latest fifth over an extended 2m6f at Galway and, dropping in distance, she isn't taken lightly. Party Pack is the pick of the remainder.

GAOITHE GLORY ran well on soft on debut, his yard won this in 2024 and shaped like this trip would suit at Listowel last time
Class & Speed Card

THE NAVIGATOR won this last year off a mark of 97 but he has gone on from there with a win here last month which sees him race off 104. He drops two classes after making all last month for a comfortable success, and could well come home in front for the 15th time. Asa hasn't been seen since falling at Catterick in February but won three of her previous four starts and looks a big danger, leaving Perth winner Fostered Phil to chase them home.

He has fitness to prove but low-mileage 6yo THE GRAY GHOST has travelled from Wiltshire to run here and gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

A significant improver in recent months, the Michael O'Callaghan-trained COPACABANA SANDS can resume her progression. Runner-up at the Curragh on her stable debut in March, the daughter of Sands Of Mali was unlucky in running when fifth in a Leopardstown Group 3 subsequently. Registering a first win in a Naas Listed race in May, the three-year-old went on to claim Group 3 honours back at Leopardstown the following month. Fourth in a similar grade over this course and distance last time, the filly has every chance in this tight knit contest. Arguably better over further, the Paddy Twomey-trained Deepone could be dangerous if allowed an easy time on the front end. Lord Massusus also warrants plenty of respect.

Both DEEPONE and Copacabana Sands have given their best performances on softer conditions, with preference for the latter
Class & Speed Card

Not beaten too far over C&D on his most recent start when fourth, and a winner at Cartmel on his penultimate outing, DEXTER has done well since joining these connections and he may be able to strike for the seventh time in his career. A creditable third over track and trip in July before disappointing here last time out, En Avant remains open to improvement in this sphere, with the same being said of Onewayortother, who may be suited by dropping back in trip on his first run since last November.

Dexter is perhaps the most solid option but EN AVANT did have excuses when behind that horse here last time.
Class & Speed Card

NELSON MUNTZ was nudged out to romp home at Kilbeggan last month and could have more to offer in this sphere. The son of Mount Nelson looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to complete a double. Fast Felix struck in comfortable fashion in a handicap at Listowel on his most recent start and holds an obvious chance, while Friary Road is another to keep an eye on.

Hat-trick seeker FAST FELIX gets the vote, having proven form on soft ground
Class & Speed Card

Slievehill won two point-to-points by wide margins in 2024 and was entitled to need his first run in 18 months when fourth at Worcester, but he might not have the pace for this trip and should be better over further in time. TRIPLE CROWN TED was second in both his Ayr bumpers but is bred to be better over hurdles and could be the class act here, while Animato, a five-time winner on the Flat, was not disgraced when fourth on his hurdling debut.

The shortlist comprises TRIPLE CROWN TED, Humble Jumble and Animato. Check the market signals for further guidance.
Class & Speed Card

Unbeaten on two starts to date, the Willie Mullins-trained LOVE ME TENDER can maintain his perfect record. A full-brother to a black-type horse, the four-year-old falls into the could be anything category. While the bare form of his bumper win at Tramore or maiden hurdle win at Kilbeggan is nothing special, it was the manner of those victories that captured the imagination. Facing his stiffest task to date in this much stronger contest, he can cope with the rise in class. Icare d'Aubrelle has been absent since April but the Tom Cooper-trained seven-year-old boasts decent winter form. With ground conditions coming in his favour, the gelding has every chance. Zillow is one that could easily take a step forward.

Willie Mullins has won nine of the last ten runnings of this race and LOVE ME TENDER should be able to continue the streak
Class & Speed Card

Jazz De Cotte was all out to score by a length at Downpatrick in July and has since switched to the Donald McCain stable, so he warrants a market check. Iamcelestialgift won his sole outing at Carlisle in April and is respected, but KILBAKANTO gets the nod. Dan Skelton's point-to-point winner changed hands for 100,000 pounds and is a half-brother to hurdle/chase scorer Windance. If ready to go on his first outing under Rules, he could be the one to beat.

All six are past winners in some capacity and none can be ruled out. KILBAKANTO didn't come cheap after winning his Irish point.
Class & Speed Card

Corbally Cross failed to justify favouritism when only eighth at Wexford, but he had excuses that day and might be worth another chance. However, JEKIKI showed more when making the frame at Listowel and goes off the same mark. If the seven-year-old is in similar form, she could be the one to beat. Miss Lia didn't fire on her chasing bow at Wexford, but she was a good second there before that and will appreciate the return to timber.

Perhaps CORBALLY CROSS can bounce back from an underwhelming Wexford effort on this slower ground
Class & Speed Card

Kilmore Rock was a disappointing favourite when bidding to complete a four-timer at Hexham when last seen. However, he is better than he managed there and could bounce back having been freshened up by a break. Heed the betting market on his first start since June. Nevertheless, with match-fitness on his side, dual course winner HALF SHOT shades preference from 2lb below his last winning mark. Saint Arvans also goes well here and could be a better alternative than Wal Buck's on these terms.

Second-season chaser WAL BUCK'S remains open to further improvement and is first choice ahead of Half Shot.
Class & Speed Card

Top weight GAUCHER would prefer a sounder surface but recently finished fifth in the Galway Hurdle and won on this card 12 months ago. By Frankel, he admittedly has winning form on soft ground and while beaten by Jesse Evans, Enniskerry and Sunchart here in July, showed better form at Galway subsequently and is reliable. Heavy ground will play to Sunchart's strengths and he is likely to enter calculations. A dual winner of Naas' Listed Devoy Stakes over 1m2f, he has poor recent form but operates much better on today's testing ground. Cottesloe Sunshine showed smart novice form on a sound surface last season.

Jesse Evans beat many of these over C&D but now GAUCHER is selected to get revenge with softer conditions suiting better
Class & Speed Card

Only 3lb separates the field on their hurdle ratings, so a tentative vote goes to COUNTRY MILE. The son of Ocovango was well beaten in Grade 1 company over the smaller obstacles at Aintree last December, but the fact he missed the remainder of the season suggests all wasn't well on that occasion. He might prove to be a different proposition over fences. Miami Magic finished in front of the selection in that event and is far from out of it for the in-form Stuart Edmunds team. Alnilam can beat Brentford Hope home for third.

On BHA ratings there's very little between the quartet. MIAMI MAGIC and Country Mile may have the most potential as chasers.
Class & Speed Card

A winner over C&D off the same mark last August, DUTCH SCHULTZ still looked to be going well when falling three out at Listowel recently. Gavin Cromwell's charge can gain compensation on this occasion, with Ballinrobe second Warm In Gorey looking best placed to chase him home, despite being winless from 14 starts over fences. Mount Ferns caught the eye when third over hurdles at Listowel and he looks worth another go over the larger obstacles.

An open-looking handicap in which none can be safely ruled out, a tentative vote going to PRINCE OF AIR
Class & Speed Card

The winner of this race in 2023 and third in last year's edition, TOMMY'S OSCAR has a solid chance of further success from a competitive current mark. Rain won't be an issue for still-enthusiastic 10-year-old, who has won after a break in the past and could be best caught fresh these days. Finest View has been highly consistent of late and could be hard to keep out of the frame in this company, while Shakeyatailfeather is dangerous to underestimate on these terms.

Off his current mark, MALYSTIC (nap) could well make it fourth time lucky in this race. Second pick is Tommy's Oscar.
Class & Speed Card

BALKO D'ANGE returns following a summer's break but is ideally suited by heavy ground. A progressive type last season, he scored at Listed level last Christmas and could continue to progress. Six-year-old Drumgill has already won six times and while heavy ground is a concern, reverts to hurdling from a favourable rating. He has done most of his racing during the summer months but has some form on easy ground and wasn't beaten far in a Listowel chase last month. In-form Half A Chance has form on heavy and indeed has his chance.

This is wide open despite the small field. Softer conditions swing the vote in favour of BALKO D'ANGE and he has run well fresh before
Class & Speed Card

Imperial Data failed to land the hat-trick when third at Perth, but that was still a fair effort and he has to be respected. Supremely West needs to be monitored in the market on his first appearance for the Dan Skelton yard, but WA WA gets the vote. Olly Murphy's veteran got up for second over track and trip in a warmer event in May and goes off an unchanged rating. If the son of Yeats is ready to go on his return, he could prove hard to beat.

The pick is LIPA K, who looked very well suited by the step up to 2m7f last month and may still have untapped potential as a stayer.
Class & Speed Card

A significant improver from first to second start over fences when runner-up at Ballinrobe last time out, NASTYA sets the standard on form and she can get off the mark in this sphere for her in-form connections. Runner-up on two of his last four starts over hurdles, William Butler has a pedigree that suggests he is likely to relish a fence and is noted for his leading trainer. Stepping up in trip on her chasing bow makes Glitz And Glamour of interest too.

On the back of a good comeback run at Ballinrobe NASTYA (nap) is a confident selection to make it third time lucky over fences
Class & Speed Card

Aquitaine Boy posted several creditable efforts in defeat at the back end of last season and he must enter calculations on his return to action. However, Ruth Jefferson's veteran doesn't appear to be hiding anything from the assessor and it could be worth chancing handicap debutant TOP TIER GOSSIP. The daughter of Getaway appears to be on a workable mark and this step up in trip, \long with the application of first-time cheekpieces, could be the making of her. Looking Splendid is the pick of the remainder.

The Verdict comprises the interesting handicap newcomers TOP TIER GOSSIP and Flawless Clarity.
Class & Speed Card

GOLD DANCER has shown his old sparkle in two recent wins and might continue to progress. Winner of a heavy-ground Compeigne hurdle in May 2023, he had disappointed his Irish connections prior to scoring at Tipperary in May and then scored at the Galway festival. He has plenty of size so should continue to do well in this sphere. Pied Piper was a high-class performer some years ago and while he landed a hat-trick when starting life over fencers earlier this year, disappointed behind the selection at Galway (when reported to be clinically abnormal) and was a faller at Listowel recently. Downmexicoway is rated 131 over hurdles and while he scored nicely at Killarney in August, faces a tougher task.

The Galway festival winner GOLD DANCER is preferred. This trip should be within range and he has winning form on heavy ground
Class & Speed Card

GAELIC PARK ran his best race over fences yet when a six-length third over C&D on his first start in over nine months and debuting for new connections. If taking a step forward in first-time cheekpieces, he could win his first race over the larger obstacles. Ali Star Bert has won here twice, once each over hurdles and fences, and as he has won elsewhere off higher marks he warrant plenty of respect, while Rostello drops a class and is another to consider.

This can go to GAELIC PARK (nap), who got his career back on track with a creditable C&D third for his new stable last month.
Class & Speed Card

HIT THE FRAME showed steady improvement in three quick runs during August, culminating with an all-the-way success over 3m1f at Wexford. Having revelled in that pace-setting role, the improving six-year-old could again be hard to deal with despite a 7lb rise. God Help Us won over a similar trip at Ballinrobe last month and looks a key player, along with My Friend The Wind, who was third in that race.

Ballinrobe winner GOD HELP US is taken to follow up, that form franked since by the runner-up's win at Sligo on Wednesday
Class & Speed Card

CHURCHFIELD ANNIE has a fine pedigree and it is encouraging that she debuts as a four-year-old for a yard which does well in bumpers. By a French-based stallion who has produced Grade 1 winner Irish Point, the selection is a half-sister to two Graded-placed winners, while today's rider claims a helpful 7lb. La Cote Fleurie is by a staying stallion and is also from a French family which has plenty of stamina. She could also be quite useful. Red Sea Girl showed nice ability when finishing third, having made a mistake at the third last, at Wexford in August.

Evidencing an abundance of stamina in both of her runs, perhaps the conditions can help CIRCUS HILL to make the breakthrough
Class & Speed Card

Having put a below-par fourth behind him when coming home in good style over C&D last month, Diesel Line warrants respect on his current upward trajectory. However, the seven-year-old does require another career-best performance off an 8lb higher mark and fellow last-time-out winner DREAMS FLED AWAY edges the vote. Barry Brennan's inmate thwarted a hat-trick seeking rival at Bangor 30 days ago and similar positive tactics may see him following up. Handicap/seasonal debutant Surrey Lord is the pick of the remainder.

The recent winners may need dry ground. A chance is taken on handicap debutant SURREY LORD who is bred to stay well.
Ths is the racecard key.
