13:40 Lingfield Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MONKMOOR PIP returns to the scene of his debut success nine days ago, where he showed a nice turn of foot to score over this C&D and Hugo Palmer's charge looks to have a good opportunity to make it two wins from two starts with that outing under his belt. Ciara Pearl appears the most obvious threat after getting within a short head of upsetting a long odds-on favourite over 1m at Bath in July and she shaped as though that initial experience was needed. Huda Star weakened late on when sent off favourite for a 1m2f maiden at Chelmsford in June and should be suited by dropping in distance.

HUDA STAR caught the eye on debut and, despite a tame effort since, she remains with potential and is taken to get the better of Ciara Pearl, who also shaped well first time out. Monkmoor Pip is another player.

The vote goes to CIARA PEARL, who gave a hotpot a big scare at Bath in July and is a big player if she can build on that promising run.

13:52 Salisbury Stakes (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HOUSTONN took a big step forward when a short-head second over C&D four weeks ago and he pulled well clear of the third and fourth, who have both won subsequently. Richard Hannon's colt can put his experience to good use, but Matsuri cost 700,000gns as a yearling and could be dangerous on his racecourse bow. La Pasionaria and Hosaamm are other noteworthy newcomers.

HOUSTONN sets a high standard and the well-bred colt should have no problem opening his account at the third attempt. Dangers come in the shape of newcomers, Matsuri and La Pasionaria a couple of the more interesting ones.

An intriguing opener. HOUSTONN is solid judged on his C&D effort four weeks ago and he gets the vote ahead of the debutant Matsuri.

14:00 Warwick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Fergal O'Brien and Dan Skelton won the last two renewals of this and have four runners between them this year, with Fortune Forever and Clararose seemingly their more fancied runners based on jockey bookings. Both can go well judged on their bumper form, but LITTLE MISS DANTE might come out on top. She was sent clear to win on her second start in a Southwell bumper and, if she can transfer that level to hurdles, she could be quite smart.

Sure to be an informative contest but LITTLE MISS DANTE is just about the pick of these on bumper form with her win at Southwell in May marking her down as a useful hurdles prospect. The market will provide clues given the majority are making their reappearance, with Politacus and Clararose another interesting pair.

Preference is for POLITACUS, who ran commendably well before weakening into fourth in a Grade 2 bumper at the Aintree festival.

LTO Selection:

14:10 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SPARKED won this race off a 2lb lower mark last year and looks primed for another bold bid, having returned to form when making all under today's rider at Bath last month. So Sleepy is due to go up 2lb in the future after a close second over this C&D last week (Nordic Glory fourth) and she can go well off the same mark. Rewilding is another to consider following a narrow victory at Wolverhampton 10 days ago but a 6lb penalty leaves him with no margin for error.

SO SLEEPY would have probably cashed in on this reduced mark had she started on terms over C&D last week so is well worth another chance. Sparked was better than ever at Bath 3 weeks ago so she's feared most, ahead of We're Reunited.

Last year's winner Sparked can go well again but SO SLEEPY (nap) returned to form here last week and can gain a second C&D success.

14:15 Thurles Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Aidan O'Brien runs a couple of expensive purchases in a race that has been won by some decent fillies in recent years. Seamie Heffernan partners GUSHING suggesting she is the stable choice and the American Pharoah filly could be good enough to make a winning debut. She was a $435,000 purchase and is out of a Listed-winning half-sister to US Champion Gio Ponti. Wootton Bassett filly Gleaning cost 500,000gns and she is out of a winning half-sister to Ocovango. It's unusual to see blinkers on one first time from Ballydoyle. Magical Circle is an interesting one on her first start for Jessica Harrington. The Too Darn Hot filly shaped with promise when fifth on her sole outing in England, for Richard Fahey, at Haydock in July. Kilworth Kate, third at Listowel last time, has to be respected but might be running into some nicer types now.

Aidan O'Brien saddles a couple of newcomers in this back-end maiden and it's $435,000 yearling GUSHING who gets the nod ahead of stablemate Gleaning before market clues. Je Zous and Magical Circle are both once-raced fillies that could also feature with improvement anticipated.

Ballydoyle debutante GUSHING gets the vote. Harbour Gem could go well at a price

14:25 Salisbury Stakes (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Hand Of God has displayed plenty of promise on both of his previous starts and it would be no surprise to see him go well once again. That said, a chance can be taken with MACH TEN, who lacks race experience but he cost 150,000gns as a yearling and is closely related to plenty of winners. Joycean Way and Chequers Court are others with valid form claims, while any market support for Morawig would have to be noted.

JOYCEAN WAY will know a lot more this time having been held back by inexperience at Yarmouth and with 1m also sure to suit, a big leap forward would come as no surprise given the yard he represents. This trip should also unlock more from Chequers Court so he's a threat, along with Hand of God.

LTO Selection:

14:35 Warwick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

IDEAL DE ROMAY ran on well to win his point-to-point in May and makes his hurdling debut here over a sensible trip that ought to prove ideal. He may prove too strong in the finish for point-to-point winner and bumper second Rockstown Native, who may have more to offer in a tongue-tie over hurdles, though Josh The Boss might be the bigger danger representing the in-form Nigel Twiston-Davies stable.

MOKA DE VASSY faced stiff tasks on his final two outings last season but, prior to that, he achieved enough to think he's up to taking a race of this nature, so he's worth a chance to make a winning return despite the presence of several interesting hurdling newcomers, notably Rockstown Native and Josh The Boss.

Third-season novices don't normally make much appeal in this type of race but MOKA DE VASSY sets a useful standard on hurdling form.

14:45 Lingfield Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Milliterries has experience on her side after a couple of respectable efforts on turf in August and must be considered, but Ralph Beckett has his string in good order at present and preference is for his BERNESE. The form of her debut fifth over this trip at Newmarket looks fairly solid, with the third going on to win twice and contest the Rockfel Stakes, and this half-sister to a 6f juvenile winner on the all-weather may appreciate the switch to Polytrack. Noble Galahad cost 50,000 euros as a yearling and could be the pick of the newcomers for a yard among the winners in recent weeks.

BERNESE offered some encouragement when fifth at Newmarket on debut and, given a break since she's fancied to improve enough to land this lesser event. Newcomers Noble Galahad and Overture are potential dangers.

The Ralph Beckett-trained BERNESE is open to improvement on her second start and earns the vote ahead of the newcomer Overture.

14:50 Thurles Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CORNAHILT SOLDIER has a nice weight in this and can bag a deserved win after a couple of solid runner-up efforts. She chased home Sluice over seven furlongs at Down Royal last time in testing conditions having also filled the same position at that track previously on better ground. Going a bit further may help her now. She gets a nice lump of weight from Admiral Mae, who was a good third at Fairyhouse last time. The U S Navy Flag gelding finished off well that day when going down by a length to Siegel and should appreciate going back up to a mile now. The Dermot Weld-trained Brosna Town looks one to note in the market on his debut. The Awtaad gelding is a half-brother to Listed winner Moll.

This can go to CORNAHILT SOLDIER, who posted her best effort yet when runner-up at Down Royal last month and will appreciate this stiffer test of stamina. Admiral Mae and Ritournelle head the list of dangers.

Perhaps the relatively experienced CORNAHILT SOLDIER will make the weight concession count in a possible duel with Admiral Mae

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FINBAR FUREY confirmed the promise that he displayed on debut when filling third place over 6f at Haydock a month ago and the step up in trip should only help his chances here. Qirat is an obvious threat following his win at Kempton in August but a 6lb penalty for that success is an obvious concern. Inversion is a half-sister to the US Grade 1 winner Whitebeam and is arguably the pick of the newcomers, although No Nay Sul and Secret Satire should not be underestimated.

QIRAT fully confirmed debut promise when running out an impressive winner of a Kempton novice 6 weeks ago and, with the prospect of more to come from Ralph Beckett's well-bred colt, he's fancied to defy a penalty and score again. Finbar Furey is going the right way and is a danger tackling 7f for the first time, along with Point Given. Inversion may emerge best of the newcomers.

That gruelling race may have left a mark given that he struggled subsequently, but he remains with potential making his chase/handicap debut on return.
Lost his way after last season's Grade 1 hurdle third but remains a good prospect.

15:05 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

HOMETOWN BOY has clearly had his problems as he hasn't been seen since winning a Grade 3 over hurdles at Aintree in April 2021, but he has won after a long layoff before. He may be worth a risk debuting over fences assuming he has schooled well over the larger obstacles, with Captain Morgs, Idalko Bihoue and Kandoo Kid all waiting to pounce if he falters.

The market will no doubt prove informative with several chasing debutants lining up but VALENTINO DANCER made it third time lucky in this sphere at Newton Abbot last month and operating from an unchanged mark, Fergal O'Brien's 8-y-o is fancied to follow up having had a breathing operation since. Second choice is Quid Pro Quo, who shaped like a non-stayer over 3m at Bangor last month, with the returning Hometown Boy and Passing Well rounding off the shortlist.

In a tricky race to weigh up it might be worth chancing NICKLE BACK, in the hope he can run the others ragged from the front.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TROPICAL AIR is on a roll and even a 12lb penalty might not be enough to prevent Charlie Johnston's charge from making it four wins on the spin. Switching to the all-weather has really helped this juvenile and when the money was down at Newcastle on Monday, another success was forthcoming. It is going to take a big performance to deny him another victory, but keep an eye on Cuban Harry in first-time blinkers and Wolverhampton runner-up Bulldog Drummond.

TROPICAL AIR got the better of Bulldog Drummond 2 runs back before scoring at Newcastle on Monday and despite Charlie Johnston's charge now shouldering a double penalty, so rapidly is he improving that he's fancied to extended his winning sequence to 4. Bulldog Drummond should prove capable of putting it up to the selection again, with Mitwaa and Enpassant completing the shortlist.

WRIST ART bumped into a well handicapped rival in Drop The Dip down in Listowel a fortnight ago and can strike again here. The Sir Prancealot gelding had been a good winner at Punchestown previously and is holding his form well. He was no match for Drop The Dip last time but that rival has gone on to frank the form in Bellewstown. What Adaay probably doesn't want the ground too soft. She was a staying on third at Bellewstown in late August having won at the same track the previous month. The Adaay filly has been eased 3lb since her last run. Whatharm has run well to be placed on his last two starts and is another for the shortlist.

WRIST ART caught the eye with a strong finish at Listowel a fortnight ago and he's capable of going one better if things drop right. Whatharm and Lisamaria both arrive in form and are also likely to be on the premises.

The form of the Listowel race in which WRIST ART was second got a boost when the winner followed up at Bellewstown

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Ralph Beckett has enjoyed an exceptional campaign with his juveniles and INDELIBLE could provide him with further success. The standard set by those with previous experience is far from daunting and the Shamardal filly, who is a half-sister to four winners, might not have to be anything special to strike on her debut. Waistcoat makes plenty of appeal on paper and must enter calculations, along with both Flashy Apache and Viridian.

Plenty of interesting newcomers on show but HIGH HANDED produced a promising first effort despite her unflattering odds when fourth at Kempton in August (form working out well) and having had a valid excuse for a disappointing effort next time (said to have been in season), Brian O'Rourke's filly gets the nod to come out on top. Indelible, Ten Bob Tony and Flashy Apache are just a handful of possible threats.

Ralph Beckett saddled Remarquee to make a winning debut in a division of this last year and the well-bred INDELIBLE can do likewise.

LTO Selection:

15:35 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

WATERGRANGE JACK completed the hat-trick at Fontwell last time and he was well on top at the line, so a 3lb rise may not be enough to prevent the seven-year-old from going in again. The main threat is Alexandra Romanov, who was a facile winner here in a class 4 event and looks ready for this step up in grade. Of the remainder, Zestful Hope looks the pick on his return from a break.

Though MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE was below par when last seen at Kempton during the spring, he was generally progressive last season and resumes here on a workable mark. He gets the nod ahead of C&D winners Hyland and Alexandra Romanov, in that order of preference, while Prairie Wolf is another to consider.

Nigel Twiston-Davies has his string in good nick so his MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE (nap), who has scored when fresh, can prevail.

15:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LABIQA has produced two solid efforts in defeat since switching to handicap company and her time is near. Beaten a length into fourth at Ayr before earning a silver medal at Kempton, it's only a matter of time before she strikes at this level and she lines up here in receipt of weight all round. Inverlochy struggled to land a blow at Newbury but has less on her plate this time, while Tamaluk makes some appeal too.

LABIQA upped her game when second at Kempton eight days ago and, with the longer trip sure to suit, she's capable of going one better if the race doesn't come too soon. Silver Screen and Twilight Dancer can also have a case made for them.

Neither Labiqa nor TWILIGHT DANCER have proved their stamina for 1m but both come here in form and shape as though it will suit.

LTO Selection:

15:50 Thurles Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GOLDEN SANDBANKS confirmed his well-being with a close second in Dundalk last Friday. He is just 3lb higher than when winning over a similar trip on soft ground at Galway in September. Walnut Beach has been hitting the crossbar a lot, but has form on rain-softened ground and a 7lb claimer has been booked in a bid to make the breakthrough on the Flat. Dark Miss showed marked improvement in third in an apprentice maiden at Roscommon when only collared in the closing stages. She certainly has a shot on handicap debut. Alfalfa was third in this race last year and his stable is in form while Contrapposto is far from out of it. Second-reserve Fair Damsel would be a threat if getting a run as she took the runner-up berth in last year's renewal.

It's fair to say that WALNUT BEACH has been expensive to follow on the level but he didn't do a lot wrong when runner-up at Tramore 3 weeks ago and from the same mark, this could be the day he finally sheds his maiden status. Alfalfa represents an in-form yard and is a threat, along with Golden Sandbanks.

It looks as if GOLDEN SANDBANKS handles any ground and he may now enhance a fine run of form.

LTO Selection:

15:57 Salisbury Stakes (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Maximum Impact has struggled in Pattern company on his last two starts but must be respected down in class, although the vote goes to PALMAR BAY. He has not been seen since defeating subsequent July Stakes winner Jasour here over 5f in May, but further improvement might be enough to see him produce a winning return. Recent Ffos Las victor Jump Jet must enter the reckoning, along with C&D scorer Solar Aclaim.

SOLAR ACLAIM made the ideal start when landing an 11-runner novice in similar conditions on debut and he's worth a chance to go in again at the possible expense of Palmar Bay, who is also open to improvement despite a 140-day break. Maximum Impact is another player dropping back in grade.

This looks the ideal next step for SOLAR ACLAIM (nap), whose debut success came over C&D. Palmar Bay is second choice.

16:05 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

OPENING BID made it four wins from his last five starts at Newton Abbot latest and he did it in comfortable fashion by just under four lengths. The son of Native Ruler was raised 4lb for that victory, which he could take in his stride. Inch House struck by just under a length over hurdles at Chepstow and he has to be of interest on his chase/handicap bow, while Bagheera Ginge could also have a say.

OPENING BID wasted no time getting back on track when taking his record this season to 4 wins from 5 starts at Newton Abbot last month and is preferred to Inch House, who was progressive over hurdles and has the profile to make a better chaser.

Jonjo O'Neill's progressive winning hurdler INCH HOUSE brings plenty of potential to chasing and can go in at the first time of asking.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DAISY ROOTS is holding her form well at present and looks the safest play in what is a tricky puzzle for punters to solve. She won of soft ground at Ffos Las in July and has done enough on the all-weather recently, most notably when a neck second at Chelmsford last time, to suggest she can strike in this sphere too. Island Native was narrowly denied at Wolverhampton latest and that was arguably his best effort to date. Golden Phase is another to be interested in.

ISLAND NATIVE ran as well as he ever has when runner-up at Wolverhampton 10 days ago and eased further in grade, Heather Main's 3-y-o makes plenty of appeal. 1m could be Daisy Roots' optimum trip and she's a threat, with the veteran Kenstone another to consider.

DEAKIN readily justified favouritism in Roscommon by an easy six lengths and could follow up. The son of Australia has been strong in the market for all five of his races and there should be plenty more to come from him over this trip now that he has got his head in front. Immutable finished fifth when upped in trip to an extended 1m4f in Galway. Closer scrutiny of that race reveals that the first three home all won on their next starts, so the form looks very strong. He is well worth another crack at this trip. Ameerat Jumaira is climbing the weights and moves into deeper waters after victories in Killarney and Cork, so has to come under consideration. Quiz Test is proven over further which will be useful if this becomes a tactical affair.

DEAKIN has improved steadily with each run this campaign, well suited by the step back up in trip when opening his account in a Roscommon maiden 31 days ago. Expected to do better still returned to handicaps, he can prove his revised mark a workable one. Ameerat Jumaira and Quiz Test head up the dangers.

LTO Selection:

16:25 Chelmsford Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PUELLA LAW displayed plenty of promise when a close second on her racecourse debut at Beverley in August and John Quinn's filly could be hard to stop with the benefit of that experience. Just Rita hit the crossbar over a mile here a couple of weeks ago and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Asteverdi and Rogue State should not be discounted.

ZARIELA showed much improved form upped to this trip on nursery debut when second at Yarmouth and sets the standard back in a maiden. Puella Law showed plenty of ability in the end having been very green when second at Beverley on debut so rates the main threat ahead of penalised winner Asteverdi.

A chance is taken with PUELLA LAW who finished well once the penny dropped on her debut at Beverley. Asteverdi is second choice.

Has failed to build on reappearance effort; addition of hood needs to help.
LTO Selection:

16:30 Salisbury Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Clive Cox has taken the previous two renewals of this contest and it might pay to side with his KATEY KONTENT today. She was sixth in the Queen Mary as a juvenile and has been running well at a higher level than this in 2023. The Havana Grey filly was unfortunate not to have finished closer at Yarmouth last month, when she was denied a clear run, and this drop in class could see her regain the winning thread. Stablemate Bonny Angel should not be underestimated, while Justcallmepete can also play a leading role.

The vote goes to TIRIAC, who finally reproduced something akin to his 2-y-o form when finding just one too good at Goodwood last week and he is appealing off the same mark and with conditions in his favour. Haymaker wasn't disgraced in a valuable handicap at the Doncaster St Leger meeting and he is feared most, while Lord Uhtred could be a threat if able to build on his latest effort and Under The Twilight, who is 2-2 here, also enters calculations.

The most interesting contenders are among the 3yos, headed by TIRIAC. Second choice is Katey Kontent.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

OUT OUT is related to a few winners, including a Group 3 winner, and the son of Getaway makes his debut for the Dan Skelton yard. If the four-year-old is ready to roll first time out then he could make an impression. 68,000gns purchase Mareska has to be respected on her debut if attracting any market support, along with Got A Dream.

MINELLA RESCUE justified support when running out an impressive winner at Stratford in July and could have more to offer yet. He can follow up. Youlneverwalkalone looks the likeliest danger on form, whilst Out Out could be the pick of the newcomers.

Gary Hanmer's new recruit MINELLA RESCUE scored impressively at Stratford and he can make light of his 7lb penalty and go in once more.

16:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

STARRY EYES finished a close-up fourth over a mile at Chelmsford on her latest outing and she has been left on the same rating for that effort. The seven-year-old takes a step back up in distance and that could eke out the improvement needed to score here. She's A Mirage was victorious on her penultimate start at Wolverhampton and would be a big player if running to that level of form, while Star Of Epsom won over C&D off 2lb lower in June and she is also considered.

This trip could be what LORD CLENAGHCASTLE needs at this advanced stage of his career and if that does prove to be the case, he's certainly weighted to strike. Starry Eyes and Star of Epsom have something to recommend them, too.

16:50 Thurles Handicap 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NOSTRA CASA has been staying on over shorter trips which bodes well for his second crack at 2m on the Flat. He made headway for third in a big field at the Curragh in August and it was just three runs back that he obliged by four lengths in an apprentice handicap over an extended 1m5f on testing ground at Sligo. Colin Keane is reunited with Barometer on whom he won over an extended 2m at Tramore in August last year. This eight-year-old gelding has finished third on his last three starts and should be involved. Sir Allen and Charlie Luciano are both more than useful over hurdles. Preference would be for the former on this ground and he should strip fitter for a comeback run at Listowel last month. Jake Peter is undoubtedly on a good mark with Alan Persse's 7lb claim factored in. He would want the ground to dry out a bit, though. Make Good has talent, but a long absence to overcome while Kings Prince is another to consider.

MAKE GOOD has clearly had his problems but he's potential well handicapped on hurdles form so could be worth chancing back from another absence. Nostra Casa and Barometer head the dangers.

MACHIAVELLIAN LADY was far from disgraced when filling third place on her debut in a valuable event over 7f at Newbury a couple of weeks ago. That form suggests that the daughter of Too Darn Hot could get off the mark at the second attempt. However, Sovereign Queen should not be discounted following her second at Leicester last time, while Squeaker and Dancingwithmyself are the pick of the remainder.

MACHIAVELLIAN LADY offered something to work on starting out under difficult conditions when third in a Newbury novice (7f, heavy) 2 weeks ago and with progress anticipated, she can take a step forward and come out on top. Sovereign Queen is a player on her Leicester second, with Unico completing the shortlist tackling 7f for the first time.

17:02 Salisbury Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Bint Al Daar will be going up 3lb for future contests after her head second at Nottingham last time out and she is well worth another try at a mile and a quarter here. Narrow preference is for KARAKOY, who disappointed at Kempton off 1lb higher on her handicap debut but she looks worth another chance back up to the trip she won with ease over at Chepstow in June. Wind Your Neck In is another to consider if the first-time visor has a positive effect.

BATTISTA has been beaten at short prices on both starts in handicap company so far but he's gradually appearing to get the hang of things and should prove capable of defying this mark. Bint Al Daar managed to run well despite doing plenty wrong at Nottingham last week so also merits respect, with in-form course winner Croeso Cymraeg also considered.

There can be optimism that the Gosden-trained BATTISTA has more to offer and he earns the vote ahead of fellow 3yo Bint Al Daar.

17:15 Lingfield Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SOMEONE'S WISH and Jimmy Mark are both last-time-out winners and they could fight this one out, with marginal preference for the former as he could have plenty more to come on only his second handicap start. The son of Buratino went in by half a length over the extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last week and looks capable of defying a 6lb penalty. The latter has a 3lb higher rating to contend with but should go well again, while Crazy Maisie makes the most appeal of the remainder.

SOMEONE'S WISH and Jimmy Mark are 3-y-os who produced career-best efforts last time and the pair could easily dominate this. Marginal preference is with the former, who landed a few bets on handicap debut at Wolverhampton.

LTO Selection:

17:20 Thurles Maiden 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

There should be staying races on the Flat to be won with THE MODEL KINGDOM. She was a classy sort in bumpers in winning at Listed and Grade 3 level and has shown plenty of ability over flights, particularly when runner-up in a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Punchestown in January. She has won off a break before, so her absence since April is less of a concern. The Mediator didn't run badly in third at Gowran Park last month. The runner-up has since taken a Tramore maiden and was second in Listed company in France to frank the form. The Mediator will welcome a return to slower ground. The Banger Doyle is race fit from a recent third in a Grade 3 novice chase at Roscommon. He has previously shown that a race of this standard should be within his compass when second in a qualified riders' maiden at Killarney in July. Votre Homme's form is on better ground, but he does stay this trip and Conor Stone-Walsh's 7lb claim is a bonus.

THE MODEL KINGDOM was runner-up in a listed event over hurdles at Punchestown when last seen in the spring and is likely to prove hard to beat. She also found one too good on her sole start in this sphere to date, namely in a Roscommon maiden in May 2022. Votre Homme got back on track when second in a 2¼m Down Royal handicap last month and he is next on the list ahead of bumper winner The Mediator, who shaped well on his Flat debut at Gowran.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FULL REGALIA has run well in defeat on her last two starts, despite being a beaten favourite last time, and it would be no surprise to see her get off the mark here. That said, Crowning could give the selection plenty to think about if leaving her underwhelming effort last time well behind. Resonance could only manage seventh on her handicap bow when last seen but she should not be discounted in this company.

CROWNING was disappointing at Newmarket last time but had looked the most promising of this quintet prior to that underwhelming effort, so is given another chance with blinkers now applied. Though Full Regalia and Resonance are both proving consistent rather than progressive, they are entitled to plenty of respect on their form.

17:35 Salisbury Handicap (Class 4) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Wilderness is the one C&D winner in this field after he scored off 2lb higher in July 2022, but 11 losing races since is not a positive and a place may be the best he can hope for. African Star was a shock 80/1 winer at Lingfield in August and wasn't disgraced when fifth at Newbury last time, so he may go well if he gets the trip, but SAILING ON could be the one to side with. Second at Yarmouth over this distance last month, if he learns to settle better then he could prove too good for these.

Preference is for MILITARY TYCOON, who is on a workable mark and may have more to offer now granted a stiffer test of stamina. Sailing On and Royal Deeside are feared most.

Preference is for MILITARY TYCOON, who kept on well for second over 12.4f at Newcastle in June and had an excuse at Ascot next time.

LTO Selection:

17:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Fox Flame is seeking a hat-trick after her success over 1m5f here last month and she ought to go close once again off only 3lb higher, but the vote goes to the Richard Hughes-trained EMPEROR'S CLOTHES. The three-year-old scored with more to spare than the winning margin suggests on her handicap debut over 1m2f at Chepstow and this step up in trip could spark further improvement, so a 5lb rise may not halt her. Robusto rates the best of the rest.

KYLE OF LOCHALSH was firmly on the up before an excusable run in testing ground at Newbury a couple of months ago, so he's worth a chance to resume progress. Recent Chepstow winner Emperor's Clothes is an obvious danger and Heathen is another one likely to bounce back to form under more favourable circumstances.

18:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MONAADHIL was a winner over C&D two starts ago. Sent off favourite here a week later, Ruth Carr's charge kept on well for fifth having settled too far off the pace. His current mark would appear to be well within range and, given a more prominent ride, he could regain the winning thread. Blue Flame showed more upon the fitting of first-time cheekpieces (retained) at Kempton and must enter calculations along with Thomas Equinas.

MONAADHIL shaped as if still in good form under a penalty when not seen to best effect here 2 weeks ago and remains of interest going for a fifth C&D win. Hezahunk and Rhythmic Acclaim head the dangers.

18:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LOST IN TIME has been running to a consistent level on the turf recently and, though he remains winless on the all-weather, the son of Dubawi has often gone well in defeat. If he can negotiate a relatively wide draw breaking from stall eight, then Dean Ivory's charge might be able to cash in against some out-of-form rivals. The unexposed Hildegard is a half-sister to C&D winner Cavalluccio and might have more to offer on this surface. Eton College is also noted.

HILDEGARD remains a maiden but she's a consistent type and shaped better than the bare result under an aggressive ride when fifth at Kempton (11f) 17 days ago. She could just be worth chancing dropped back in trip, with Lost in Time, Corporate Raider and Eton College heading up the dangers.

19:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Lethal Touch arrives in fine fettle having notched up a brace of victories at Epsom recently, but a chance is taken on MOOGIE. James Fanshawe's filly has struggled on both of her handicap starts, but she's been given a short break since her latest Newmarket effort. Eased 4lb in the ratings for that run, the daughter of Mastercraftsman is bred to be far better than her current mark and might improve for the return to an artificial surface. Mountain Flower heads the remainder.

VALKYRIAN ran out an impressive winner at Leicester 10 days ago so has obvious claims under a penalty if in similar form. Measured Moments is having an excellent season so must be respected, with hat-trick seeking Lethal Touch another to consider.

Agostino remains a maiden after 14 races but has come home second in his last two and will be looking to go one better, but PHOENIX GLOW is still preferred. Second to Brian The Snail at Bath last month, he will be attacking fast and late and gets on well with jockey George Bass.

SELINA'S STAR remains a maiden but she got firmly back on track equipped with first-time blinkers when runner-up in a C&D handicap 21 days ago and she could be the answer provided the headgear has the desired effect once more. Agostino and Phoenix Glow are others fancied to be in the mix.

Lunar Shadow

10/3(-11%)
(5) Lunar Shadow 10/3, Scored twice over hurdles last year and continued good work on the Flat this term, adding to her tally at Bath (13f) in August. Respectable fourth over hurdles latest and present mark doesn't look beyond her returned to AW.
Two Flat wins this year (including on Polytrack) and she's firmly in calculations.

2nd (3) Spit Spot (5/1 +9%)
Spit Spot

5/1(+9%)
(3) Spit Spot 5/1, C&D winner who doubled career tally over extended 13f here in May. Matched as opposed to building on that in handful of starts since, only sixth of 7 in a C&D handicap 2 weeks ago.

17/2(-21%)
(1) Smart Champion 17/2, Dual winner on turf/AW at 2m during second half of last year. Fallen to a potentially lenient mark but hasn't been threatening since returning from a break in recent months, fourth of 7 in a C&D amateur riders' handicap 14 days ago.
8yo who has regressed, but he ran okay over C&D last time and might not be far away.

Spring Glow

3/1(+25%)
(6) Spring Glow 3/1, Losing run is mounting up but she turned in best effort of the season when third at Southwell (12f) 3 weeks ago, coming from much further back than front 2. Not disgraced at Lingfield since and whilst she still needs to prove her stamina for this trip, she's lurking on a handy mark.
On 15-race losing run but has performed pretty well the last twice; could be thereabouts.

Haven Lady

(4) Haven Lady 15/2, 4-time winner during 2022 who finished placed on 5 of first 6 starts earlier this year. Stepped up on first start for 4 months when fifth of 10 in handicap at Redcar (14f) 16 days ago and better showing anticipated returned to AW.
The return to AW could be a firm positive and she's on a competitive mark; possible player.

20:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 5) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Spit Spot is the only C&D winner here and is hard to discount having won here in May off 1lb higher, though she hasn't been at her best lately and others are preferred. LUNAR SHADOW was last seen finishing fourth over hurdles, but won at Bath in August on the Flat and a repeat of that off 3lb higher may be good enough. Spring Glow can follow them home under Marco Ghiani.

A cosy winner on her penultimate start, LUNAR SHADOW again ran well over hurdles 4 weeks ago. Appealing as still being on a workable mark in this sphere, she can make a bold bid, with Haven Lady and Golden Keeper heading up the dangers. Spring Glow needs to conclusively prove her stamina for the trip but is also lurking on a handy mark.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In a wide-open contest it may pay to side with TRADESMAN, an impressive winner here over shorter in August but seemingly out of sorts when sixth at Wolverhampton the following month. He can hopefully bounce back to form here after a month off. Socially Shady drops in class and won a similar race off this mark at Lingfield last November, while Team Endeavour, a solid runner-up last time out, is another to take seriously.

TRUSTY SCOUT is more than capable of winning off this mark if things drop right for him so gets the nod over Team Endeavour and Flying Standard.

It might be worth siding with SOCIALLY SHADY, who is back on his last winning mark and looks interesting on this return to 2m.
