LTO Selection:

13:35 Cheltenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A competitive race in which Gordon Elliott's race-fit Royal Eagle is likely to mount a bold hat-trick bid, while the progressive Black Poppy is also interesting on his first run since landing Haydock's valuable the Swinton Hurdle in May. For all that, the field is littered with likely improvers and, of that group, perhaps AFADIL is the most interesting having undergone a wind operation since scoring at Ayr on his last start.

This looks ultra-competitive as usual but ALFADIL does still rather stand out as a lightly-raced 4-y-o who should have more to come for his top yard on his reappearance after wind surgery. Our Champ won nicely on his first outing for Chris Gordon and could be capable of better again so he's second choice ahead of Coolnaugh Haze, another who has made a positive start for a new stable. Fergal O'Brien's good recent record in this also earns Glorious Zoff a place on the shortlist.

13:50 Sligo Conditions Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Firm Footings beat HORANTZAU D'AIRY by a length in a Navan maiden hurdle last season but the Willie Mullins-trained gelding has been kept busier since and may gain his revenge. The selection went on to land a Punchestown maiden also over two miles and beat all bar Man O Work last month in the valuable Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle at the Listowel Festival meeting. Firm Footings was beaten less than six lengths in the Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and riding arrangements suggest he's preferred to long-time absent Deployed. Byker also ran a cracker at Cheltenham last March when only going down by a neck to Jazzy Matty in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.

HORANTZAU D'AIRY is the form pick and arrives on the back of an excellent second at Listowel a month ago, so he's a confident choice to get back to winning ways at the likely expense of stablemate Aime Desjy. Firm Footings is another one to consider.

Race-fit and in fine form, it is difficult to look past HORANTZAU D'AIRY(nap) especially getting weight from some lower-rated rivals.

My Mate Mozzie

4/7(+22%)
(3) My Mate Mozzie 4/7, Smart hurdler who was fit from finishing fifth in the Irish Cesarewitch and showed enough to suggest he has a decent future in this sphere when runner-up at Fairyhouse (16.5f, soft) just under 3 weeks ago. Tongue strap goes on and every chance of going one better.
Very useful handicap hurdler; found 50-1 outsider too good when odds-on for chasing debut.

Jetronic

10/3(-11%)
(4) Jetronic 10/3, Fair form in a couple of juvenile hurdles and took a step forward on chasing debut when winning minor event at Compiegne in March. Has since left Patrice Quinton and having joined a top yard, he's a likely improver on his first start on these shores.

Has taken form to new level over fences for new stable this season, winning four times.

17/2(-21%)
(2) Walk In Clover 17/2, Successful back in April in handicap chases here (Grade 2) and at Southwell. Solid efforts on both outings since returning from a break but this demands more down in trip.
Won quite valuable series final here in April but not favoured by today's weights.
LTO Selection:

14:10 Cheltenham Maiden Chase (Class 2) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The fact that Paul Nicholls is prepared to pitch recent French recruit JETRONIC straight into a contest of this nature at the age of four suggests he is held in high regard and it wouldn't be a shock to see him make a winning stable debut having relished soft ground in his native country. That said, Irish raider My Mate Mozzie boasts a hurdles rating of 146 and shouldn't be written off despite an odds-on reverse on his chasing bow, while Al Zaraqaan already boasts four chase wins, albeit on better ground in weaker company.

A below-par renewal which can go the way of MY MATE MOZZIE, who showed enough to suggest he has a decent future in this sphere when finishing runner-up at Fairyhouse just under 3 weeks ago and now fitted with a first-time tongue strap, he looks good to go a place better. French-import Jetronic falls into the 'could be anything' category after making a winning chasing debut so he can chase the selection home on first start for Paul Nicholls.

My Mate Mozzie has a tendency to finish weakly and is opposed with four-time chase winner AL ZARAQAAN.

14:25 Sligo Handicap Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Blenheim Belle beat GETABELLE by half a length over a similar trip at Cork but the pair had contrasting fortunes on their only outing since. The former was pulled up after being badly hampered around halfway in Listowel while the Liam Cusack-trained mare went one better on her return to Cork when drawing clear after the last. She's progressing nicely and can defy a 9lb hike in the ratings. Caoimhes Pet handles soft ground and opened her account at Killarney last time. That victory came after a break of over eight months and she should have further scope for improvement, while Downpatrick maiden winner Gaye Winnie, Lady Iseult and the consistent Angelsworknovrtime are others to consider.

KALANISI DUBH is on a workable mark and should be all the better for a recent run, so she's put forward as the answer. Caoimhes Pet ran out a cosy winner at Killarney recently and has to be respected in her follow-up bid, while Sayitfirst is another to consider.

14:45 Cheltenham Maiden Hurdle (Class 2) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

MEL MONROE is Gordon Elliott's sole representative from a host of pre-race entries and the mare could take some stopping in receipt of allowances after really catching the eye with an emphatic win in the mud at Downpatrick last time out in June. Irish compatriot Tag Man makes obvious appeal after defying a bad mistake to win comfortably at Listowel last month, while it will be interesting to see how the unexposed El Elefante goes now upped significantly in grade.

It's hard to know exactly what EL ELEFANTE achieved in scoring by a wide margin on her Perth hurdling debut, but she really impressed with how she powered clear in the straight and looks the type to go on to better things. Encanto Bruno proved a big let-down at Galway, but he was mightily impressive at Bellewstown prior to that, so can be given another chance, while Katate Dori is an interesting newcomer to this sphere for a yard that has started the autumn well.

It might pay to give another chance to ENCANTO BRUNO, who was seriously impressive when winning on his hurdling debut two starts ago.

15:00 Sligo Maiden Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ZAIDI won a point-to-point for Ellmarie Holden and made a bright start for current connections when a wide margin winner of a Thurles bumper this spring. He's filled the runner-up spot on both completed outings since in maiden hurdles including after a summer break when just touched off by Mint Boy at Gowran Park. The latter's stablemate Charming Fortune may now prove one of the main threats having been placed on both recent outings under Rules including a Downpatrick maiden hurdle last time. Dual point-to-point winner Kalanisi Flash has been placed both in bumpers and maiden hurdles this year, while D'jo Dela Barriere has shown promise in bumpers and, if learning to settle, could take a hand in the finish.

ZAIDI is proving a shade expensive to follow as a hurdler, but he went down only narrowly on his return at Gowan last month and is surely up to winning a race such as this. Charming Fortune and Kalanisi Flash look the obvious threats.

His jockey had a winner on his first ride over hurdles yesterday and ZAIDI has an excellent chance of going one better than at Gowran

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A runner-up in the Grade 2 Leamington Novices' Hurdle on his penultimate start, GINNY'S DESTINY carries some useful form into the next phase of his career and could well make a winning start over fences on his debut run for the powerful Paul Nicholls yard. Hurricane Bay is another useful hurdler to bear in mind now switched to the larger obstacles, while Irish raider Railway Hurricane is also feared with ground conditions sure to suit.

GINNY'S DESTINY made up into a useful hurdler in a short space of time for Tom Lacey last term and now under the tutelage of Paul Nicholls is fancied to make a winning start over fences in a most intriguing novice handicap chase. Downtown Queen is feared most with experience on her side and rates the chief threat of the Irish-trained trio ahead of Moon Hunter, Passing Well and Atlanta Brave who all bring a fair bit of potential.

15:35 Sligo Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BREAGAGH has strung together a consistent series of results under both codes this year and may finally open his account after 37 starts. The five-year-old gelding appears versatile in terms of ground conditions and ran well over this trip on his penultimate start at Punchestown. The locally trained Rossies Tara ran well here last year and has shown definite promise again this season including when fourth to Hutchie over 2m6f at Galway last month, with Onefortheditch about five lengths behind. The latter subsequently advertised her claims when runner-up to Getabelle at Cork, while others for the shortlist include Gamigin, Reserve Judgement and Frazel Express.

ONEFORTHEDITCH took another step forward at Cork recently and could be the way to go with more improvement on the way. Gamigin is respected on his return, while Father Jed and Rossies Tara could also figure.

15:55 Cheltenham Novices Hurdle (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

The bumper form shown by KAMSINAS is starting to work out well and, having registered a bloodless success on his debut over hurdles at Worcester 15 days ago, the Fergal O'Brien-trained six-year-old looks a novice to follow with interest at present. This is a good deal tougher and last-time-out winners Act Of Authority and Lookaway both command respect despite stepping up in class. The hat-trick chasing Enthused is also dangerous to omit from the equation based on his consistent profile, while Irish raider Toto Too is another to note.

KAMSINAS created an excellent impression when making a winning start over hurdles at Worcester 15 days ago, impressing with how he travelled through the race, so he can build on that first effort to score again. Irish-challenger Toto Too also looked a useful prospect when successful on his hurdling debut and is respected, with Act of Authority another to take into account.

This is a dangerous betting heat with so many unexposed, but TOTO TOO is seemingly held in some regard by his shrewd Irish trainer.

Just Three had Silver Gazette about a length behind when making a promising debut over three miles at the Listowel Festival and again shaped well at the same venue just five days later. Rowdy Romeo was placed twice in staying maiden hurdles earlier this year, while Insouciant Dallier switches to hurdles and may be suited by a test of stamina.

SILVER GAZETTE was just touched off by a decent type on debut for Andrew Slattery at Tramore in August and was unlucky not to finish closer at Listowel the following month. He is taken to belatedly open his hurdles account. Will Do landed a Cork bumper when last seen during the spring and was a good second on his previous start in this sphere. Gordon Elliott's charge is feared most ahead of the promising Just Three.

WILL DO was a fine 2nd to a quality rival in a maiden hurdle on seasonal debut almost a year ago and can take this.

LTO Selection:

16:30 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 3) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MOLE COURT has had a tremendous starts to his chasing career and this represents another step up the ladder for Ben Pauling's charge. Being a son of Court Cave, the rise in trip should hold no fear and he can land the four-timer at the main expense of progressive Irish raider Menindee and Court Master, who has done well since joining new connections and remains 4lb below his last winning mark. Trainer John McConnell has a good record at this meeting and Bella Bliss must be considered, along with Destiny Is All and Wick Green.

MOLE COURT is an assured jumper who arrives with a progressive profile, so he boasts leading claims under one of the more experienced riders. Court Master is potentially well treated and could give it a good go from the front, while last-time-out winners Herewegohoney and Destiny Is All are also worthy of respect.

LTO Selection:

16:41 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A taking winner at Brighton last time out, VOLCANOLOGY is the leat exposed in the field and should therefore be open to plenty of improvement on just her third career outing. The step up in trip is a big plus and she should have too much for Courageous Strike on his first start for new connections and Go Your Own Way, who has been narrowly denied on his last two starts.

GO YOUR OWN WAY produced a career best when runner-up at Kempton 11 days ago, only just failing, so he is taken to go one better returned to this longer trip. Courageous Strike was also narrowly denied on his latest outing and could be the main danger on his stable debut, with Seahorse Syd completing the shortlist.

Ollie Pears is 5-19 with 2yos on the AW this season and SEAHORSE SYD can add to the tally. Volcanology is second choice.

LTO Selection:

16:45 Sligo Handicap Hurdle 25f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MICK CHARLIE won twice over 2m4f at Kilbeggan but was sidelined for two years before showing much improved form on his third run back at Fairyhouse earlier this month. The Declan Queally-trained gelding appreciated three miles and soft ground when landing a gamble and could well follow up off an 8lb higher mark. Old Chap won over C&D in August and was only beaten about two lengths last time behind the progressive Londonofficecallin at Killarney. Influential Lady was placed here on her latest hurdle start back in August, while Goodnightngodbless has been generally campaigned over fences in the past two years and stays well. Gigantamax Eevee held place claims when a penultimate flight faller at Listowel, while the veteran Drumcliff wasn't disgraced when reapearing at Ballinrobe last month.

The vote goes to OLD CHAP, who gained his breakthrough success over this C&D in August and wasn't beaten at all far when sixth in a 15-runner race at Killarney last time. Celine Man took a step forward when runner-up on his final start for Mark Fahey during the spring and could be a threat if able to build on that upped in trip for his new yard. Mick Charlie, a winner at Fairyhouse last time, and Gigantamax Eevee both enter calculations, too.

17:00 Dundalk Claimer 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CHESTNUTTER was a dual winner this summer and drops to claimer company. She was well held on all-weather debut here 14 days ago but should benefit from that experience, is suited by this distance and contests a winnable race. One Boss was beaten in a heavy-ground maiden claimer in September but ran well in a course-and-distance maiden recently. Dumb Love's form is all on easy or heavy ground but was nonetheless a maiden winner in September, while lightly-weighted Starnight was a Nottingham handicap winner in May but tries this trip for the first time. Hasten Slowly was third in a recent claimer but drops back markedly in distance, while Un Bacio Ancora is a 23-race maiden who tries this distance for the first time.

Plenty in with a squeak but preference is for CHESTNUTTER, who ran one of this season's lesser races making her all-weather debut here a fortnight ago but can resume her progress dropped into claiming company for the first time. Iva Batt, Amanirenas and One Boss are just a handful of possible dangers.

ONE BOSS may be able to dominate her rivals from the front here and she ran with credit in a C&D maiden earlier this month

(8) Rambo T 7/1, Confirmed previous promise upped in trip when off the mark in 13-runner maiden at Chepstow (19.5f) in February. Added to that when narrowly prevailing in a Newton Abbot handicap (21.6f, soft) on return this month. More needed up 4 lb in this more competitive race, but couldn't rule out.
This demands more from him but a 4lb rise for last time is nothing to groan about.

Below par in a couple of runs during the spring, but back on the up when scoring on his recent reappearace at Fontwell (19.2f, good). 4 lb rise fair and needs considering.
Won at this fixture last year and back to his best at Fontwell; needs good ground.

Since undergone a second wind op and, up just 3 lb for that latest success, he has to enter calculations back from a break (good record fresh).
Just workmanlike on handicap debut but he looks nicely progressive.

Steadily climbed the ladder during his novice season; might not want too much rain.

Further progress is certainly needed off present mark, but this Irish raider merits respect all the same.
Placed on the Flat after back-to-back hurdle wins; this is tougher but running well.

Lightly-raced and generally below par since, and while he has slipped to an attractive mark as a result, his stamina for this trip is not copper-bottomed.
Well in on his 2021 form; last season fizzled out and ideally wants good ground.

Went one better with plenty in hand upped to 24.3f at Ayr the following month and 12 lb rise for that is fair enough. 19-month absence an obvious concern, but he's interesting nonetheless.
Comfortable winner when last seen in April 2022; 12lb higher now but dangerously unexposed.

(9) Kansas City Star 16/1, Point winner who remains a maiden following 7 attempts in this sphere, but placed on 5 occasions and looks nailed on to win a race sooner rather than later. However, the addition of cheekpieces/switch to handicap company will need to spark improvement if he's to get off the mark here.
Consistent novice and cheekpieces are fitted for handicap debut.

Clear of the rest when second at Kelso last time and likely to give another good account.

(16) Moneynabane 80/1, Found some improvement when opening hurdles account at the ninth attempt at Downpatrick (21.5f, soft) 3 weeks ago. However, couldn't be sure that he'll build on that and, in any case, this 5-y-o has much more on his plate from 7 lb out of the handicap in this touger race.
Won well last time at Downpatrick; although 7lb out of the weights, Ben Bromley claims 5lb.
LTO Selection:

17:05 Cheltenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Marginal preference is for SERIOUS OPERATOR, who ended last season on a high with a taking success at Ayr and the fact he won first time out out last term should stand him in good stead. The form of his stable is another plus and he may have too much for course winner Soul Icon, as well as Lallygag, who wasn't beaten far here on his latest start in April. Angels Breath could be of interest on his return to hurdles, while Bucko's Boy and Building Bridges also have the form to get involved.

Cases can be made for a good number of these, with unexposed 6-y-os SERIOUS OPERATOR and Lallygag topping the shortlist, in that order of preference. The former landed a decent Ayr handicap on his final start of last season and his record when fresh (winner of all 4 starts under Rules following a break of 2 months or more) augurs well. Lallygag did very little wrong as a novice and should have more to offer, while Bucko's Boy, the hat-trick seeking Building Bridges and Rambo T all merit respect.

17:15 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ZAYINA may have a 7lb penalty to overcome for a taking success at Brighton last week, but that was only her third start and she should be open to far more improvement as she goes up in distance. Narrowly denied at Southwell last month, Faster Bee looks to be a key player, along with Across Earth, who ran a highly-encouraging race on his debut at Newcastle.

This step up in trip promises to suit ZAYINA, who was strong at the finish when opening her account in a 1m Brighton novice. She is likely to take plenty of stopping on her all-weather debut, despite carrying a penalty. Across Earth and Hampden are both open to improvement and rate the main dangers in that order of preference, while Eagle Angel and Rogue King showed ability on their respective debuts and can do better in time.

BLEU DE VASSY was second on his only point-to-point start for Paddy Turley and is obviously held in high regard having subsequently made 235,000 at the Punchestown Festival Sale this spring. It will be interesting to see how strong he is in the market. Locorotondo had Mister Vic 14 lengths behind when going close at Roscommon last month and the booking of Patrick Mullins catches the eye. Dorans Law made an encouraging start at the Punchestown Festival and now reverts to a bumper after keeping on into third behind the odds-on Fascile Mode at the same venue earlier this month. John Gleeson is an interesting booking on Will Wilde.

BLEU DE VASSY showed plenty in a point and was picked up by top connections for a hefty sum on the back of it, so he's an obvious choice to make a winning Rules debut. Dorans Law is the obvious danger and Mister Vic boasts solid place claims.

17:30 Dundalk Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EXQUISITE ACCLAIM's only previous win was here in September 2021 but his rating has recently fallen. Rated 98 in May 2022 and unplaced in an Italian (Group 3) 2,000 Guineas, he returned to some form recently and a reproduction of his latest course-and-distance placings might prove enough to win. Bobby K, a six-time winner, is an all-weather specialist who would prefer a mile but has good recent form and should compete under his 7lb claimer. Lasting Peace ran satisfactorily in his two all-weather runs and runs in first-time cheekpieces while Princess Rajj took a late stumble when disappointing on her last run but reappears following a break under a 7lb claimer. Harbanaker and The Bog Bank's best form is over a mile while Boadicea Belle is a three-time all-weather winner but is out of form.

THE BOG BANK is down to 2 lb lower than when successful over C&D in July and might prove the answer to this tricky apprentice race. Exquisite Acclaim was a good third here a fortnight ago and rates an obvious threat for the Ado McGuinness team. Harbanaker is also respected on the back of his latest course fourth.

A return to seven furlongs should help IS THAT LOVE who has been running with credit over shorter and he's down to a good mark

17:45 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The step up in trip can work the oracle for GOLDEN PHASE, having shown signs in recent starts, when slightly outpaced over a mile, that she may relish this longer distance. The booking of Hollie Doyle catches the eye and she is preferred to Clotherholme and Possible Ambition, who wasn't beaten far at Newcastle when last seen in February. Completing the shortlist are Coconut Ba and Star Of St Louis.

GOLDEN PHASE did well to sustain her effort at Lingfield 22 days ago having been forced wide throughout, so she remains of interest, especially with that form proving solid. Star of St Louis and Possible Ambition head the opposition.

18:00 Dundalk Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WOODEN HEAD was a E120,000 foal who showed promise in a recent course-and-distance handicap. That recent race was a higher-grade handicap and today he competes in a lesser race with his jockey claiming an extra 5lb. Pulse Of Shanghai, a five-time winner, is winless since March 2021 but continues in decent form and likes this distance. Hero Of The Hour was slowly away on his recent reappearance and has solid claims if progressing from the run.

Lots with chances but the vote goes to WOODEN HEAD who can race off a 1 lb lower mark than when a good C&D fourth last time and remains with few miles on the clock. Multiple course winner Pulse of Shanghai is feared most on the back of his good Navan second, ahead of the handily-weighted Zig Zag Zyggy and course specialist Adams Barbour.

A typically competitive sprint h'cap for Dundalk but PULSE OF SHANGHAI was only narrowly denied latest and should relish a return to AW

LTO Selection:

18:15 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

INITIO sets the standard for the others to aim at with a rating of 75, despite finishing last of 13 on his handicap bow at York. This looks like a much more suitable assignment and he could get his head in front for the first time, with the form of his third-placed finish in a similar event at Thirsk in August giving him strong claims. Hailey Ya Mal was well supported on his debut but he failed to fire in seventh and has since switched to the Antony Brittain stable, so that could spark more from the three-year-old. So Glorious completes the shortlist.

INITIO wasn't seen at his best in the mud at York last time but possesses much the best form on offer and is taken to get off the mark at the chief expense of Mick Appleby's newcomer Maruna who is worth monitoring in the betting. National Health and Hailey Ya Mal appeal as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Dundalk Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MILLIETHEMOLLIE ran well on recent handicap debut. Running in first-time hood and tongue-tie, she beat Buddy Batt into fifth in that Naas race and while 3lb higher, can continue to progress and should be ok on the all-weather, being a good-ground performer. Buddy Batt was later raised 7lb following a slightly improved Listed run here recently but has enough on his plate, despite his same rider claiming 7lb today. Seven Eleven improved to win on handicap debut at Down Royal but is 7lb higher and meets contrasting ground. Scorchio has disappointed since a promising debut in June, when comfortably beating Blame Thechampagne and Harry The Rogue. She has a feather weight but needs to show her old ability on all-weather debut. Clonmacash has contested some hot races and debuts in handicaps wearing second-time blinkers while Moral Turpitude runs in cheekpieces on handicap debut.

MILLIETHEMOLLIE took a big step forward on her nursery bow when runner-up at Naas and is weighted to go one better off a 3 lb higher mark here. Recent Down Royal scorer Seven Eleven rates the chief danger ahead of Harry The Rogue, who wasn't seen to best effect when eighth here last time out.

The form of MORAL TURPITUDE's latest maiden outing couldn't be working out much better and she may be worth chancing from a mark of 72

LTO Selection:

18:45 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 2) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Street Kid held on by a head to score over this trip at Haydock last month and if he can transfer that form to the all-weather, then he ought to have a big say off 3lb higher. However, preference is for ARATUS, who has undergone wind surgery since finishing third in a class 2 handicap at Leicester when last seen 12 months ago. The five-year-old is 1-1 on the all-weather and he could make a winning return to action off a 3lb lower mark. Safe Voyage is a reliable sort and he also has to be considered.

ALL THE KING'S MEN failed to beat a rival at Haydock when last seen in June, but it's easy to excuse him that run, and he's fancied to resume his progress now returning to the all-weather after a break. Aratus shaped well on several occasions in competitive handicaps in 2022 and is capable fresh, so he's a very interesting runner too, particularly as he was successful on his only previous all-weather start. Mitrosonfire bounced back to his best at Ascot last time and completes the shortlist.

Aratus is worth a look, but it would be a surprise were ALL THE KING'S MEN (nap) not up to winning a decent prize off this mark.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Dundalk Group 3 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BOUTTEMONT's name should ring a bell and he reverts to Group 3 company, having encountered trouble in the Prix de l'Abbaye. His form is in-and-out and a shower of rain derailed him at the Curragh in September but, at Longchamp, he met notable in-running traffic in a messy race. He is a Newcastle All-Weather Championship winner so this surface will suit. The Highway Rat is proven over course and distance and while beaten a neck by Harry's Bar recently, was slowly away then and is 5lb better off. Harry's Bar, a 15-time all-weather winner, might struggle to win while two-year-old Alabama is experienced but has a tough task. Big Gossey has a better turf record than all-weather while Twilight Jet makes his all-weather debut. UK raider Queen Me, running in first-time cheekpieces, also debuts on the all-weather, having dropped to this distance on recent runs.

If THE HIGHWAY RAT gets away from the stalls better than he did when chasing home Harry's Bar over C&D 3 weeks ago he might be up to landing this Group 3 for the second time in 3 years. French raider Bouttemont wasn't seen to best effect in the Abbaye and is second choice ahead of the aforementioned Harry's Bar and Aidan O'Brien's 2-y-o Alabama.

Possibly flattered by his 109 rating the French challenger BOUTTEMONT could still be the one to beat on his return to the polytrack

19:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ON THE RIGHT TRACK was denied by two lengths over an extended 1m3f here earlier in the month and he was only raised 1lb for that display. With the booking of a 5lb claimer to ease the burden of top weight, the six-year-old attempts this trip for the first time and that could eke out the improvement needed to strike this evening. Doublethetrouble has been unlucky to fill the runner-up spot on each of his last three outings and he should go well once more, while Eagle's Realm returns to the Flat after three outings over hurdles and he is also respected.

LORD TORRANAGA is knocking firmly on the door and rates just the pick of the weights too so is taken to gain a deserved success and edge out in-form duo Doublethetrouble and Ezmerellda.

Some reliable handicappers on show but the unexposed EZMERELLDA may progress past them now faced with a stiffer test of stamina.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Dundalk Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PAGAN SUN cost E360,000 at an Arqana May breeze-up sale and represents a trainer whose juveniles are flying. Irish-trained, French-bred and American-owned, he is from the first crop of Enable's German-trained Arc conqueror Waldgeist, while his English-trained half-brother is rated in the 90s. Soldier's Empire and Chicago Fireball are closely matched on September's Goffs Million form and while both receive 2lb from the selection, are vulnerable to smart types. Taraj also has useful recent form and debuts on the all-weather. It is discouraging to see blinkers applied on debutante Emphasis which is Ballydoyle-trained and out of a Listed winner. Lady Doris is the ninth foal and whose only winning sibling scored at Group 3 level. Rothstein is out of a Listed winner, Zenato is a half-brother to six winners while Mrs Haggerston is a half-sister to a Listed winner.

This has the look of a hot maiden, with PAGAN SUN chanced before market clues to continue the red-hot Paddy Twomey's remarkable run with his newcomers (7 of his last 10 have won). Soldier's Empire and Chicago Fireball are closely matched on the form of their Goffs Million efforts and can surely find races. Taraj is respected, while Emphasis has to be worth a look first time up for Ballydoyle.

Paddy Twomey has shown he can ready one first time out and his PAGAN SUN, a 360,000euors breeze-up buy can make a winning debut

LTO Selection:

19:45 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

NAZCA clearly sets the standard based on his hat-trick in recent months and a 2lb rise for the most recent of those victories may not be enough to stop him here. Gatwick Kitten was only beaten a neck into third off this mark at Kempton recently and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Noteable and Jack Of Clubs are others to note.

CORINTHIA KNIGHT is handicapped to win and arrives on the back of a good run at Windsor so, if he can get across from a wide draw, he should be capable of ending a losing run. Last-time-out winner Noteable looks a threat and the four-timer seeking Nazca obviously merits respect.

The fast finish of GATWICK KITTEN at Kempton last week offered considerable encouragement that he would be breaking his AW duck soon.

KEEPER'S HEART showed promise on debut. A half-brother to a Group 3 winner, he shaped well at Naas and with the third winning subsequently, should take beating. Benvoy, out of a Group 2 winner, ran well on Navan debut and while that form is nothing special, can progress. Debutante Presence could be useful being a half-sister to two winners and is by a promising stallion which currently stands for E75,000. Cherry Wild is a sibling to nine winners, two of which were black type-placed, while Puente Romano is a half-brother to a Listed-placed winner but debuts in a tongue-tie. Nine Lives was well-supported when disappointing on Tipperary debut but may have been unsuited by heavy ground. Wonderwalk ran a nice race on her Roscommon debut when meeting experienced rivals.

KEEPER'S HEART and Benvoy both arrive on the back of encouraging debut and may well dominate this, with the former (who achieved a bit more) taking marginal preference. Presence looks the pick of the newcomers.

Following a promising Naas debut last month, form franked since by the third horse winning, KEEPER'S HEART (nap) can go one better

LTO Selection:

20:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Phoenix Beach hit the crossbar in a similar event over C&D last time and he merits the utmost respect once again. However, a chance can be taken with DARK SIDE PRINCE, who is a dual winner over this track and trip. The six-year-old races off the same mark as his most recent victory at Southwell in February and his latest efforts on turf have been encouraging. Others to consider are Murbih and Secret Mistral.

PHOENIX BEACH shaped well when second over C&D recently and, fresh for the time of year, looks worth a chance to build on that. Dark Side Prince has had a good year and is feared most ahead of Murbih, who finished a place behind the selection here last time.

The vote goes to PAPA DON'T PREACH, who'll appreciate the return to the AW off a career-low mark. Phoenix Beach is next best.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Dundalk Maiden 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SHREWSBURY ROAD is progressive and has recent form at this distance. By Sea The Stars and from a good family, he ran well on soft ground at the Curragh last month but had previously shown form on good in August - suggesting he will be suited by the all-weather. Saturn, by Galileo and out of top racemare Alpha Centauri, ran well in two summer maidens but there is nothing exciting about the form of either race and he returns following a layoff. Dawn Rider is out of an ex-Irish trained American Grade 2 winner, whose half-sister won a Royal Ascot and while she could be smart, makes a belated debut. Apercu also debuts quite late but carries the colours of Team Valor and is a sibling to four winners. All Time Great, by Justify and out of a Canadian Group 1 winner, has flopped in two runs and runs in first-time blinkers.

SHREWSBURY ROAD shaped well behind another promising type at the Curragh last month and is narrowly preferred to Jessica Harrington's Saturn, who was placed in a couple of turf maidens during the summer. A market move for well-bred debutante Dawn Rider would also bring her into the reckoning.

Shrewsbury Road and Saturn share 79 ratings but could be vulnerable to a well-bred newcomer such as DAWN RIDER
