Having found only an exciting stablemate too good over C&D, WILD ANGEL can go one better. The Godolphin juvenile has yet to finish outside the first three in her career to date and she can get off the mark at the fourth time of asking. Lope De Vega filly Bright Times Ahead represents the red-hot Ralph Beckett yard and is a newcomer to note, while the Gosdens' debutant Swiss Lightning also warrants respect.

WILD ANGEL is proving consistent rather than progressive but her experience should count for plenty up against mostly newcomers. Bright Times Ahead comes from a yard that has a strong team of 2-y-os this year so she may emerge as the biggest threat ahead of the Gosden trained-pair Swiss Lightning and Banyan.

Wild Angel sets the standard but William Haggas has a fine record in this novice and SILVER CHAMBER is taken to enhance it further.

Although PRAIRIE ANGEL must defy a 6lb penalty for her winning hurdles bow at Ballinrobe in August, she has been progressive on the Flat since, with victories at Bellewstown and Roscommon. The daughter of Territories is taken to remain unbeaten in this discipline at the main expense of Lakota Blue. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding scored on his sole start in a French bumper and market support would be interesting now tackling timber. The selection's stablemate Janes Harbour completes the shortlist.

PRAIRIE ANGEL has been successful on her last 2 Flat starts and surely has plenty more to offer back over hurdles, so she shades the vote. Janes Harbour, Lakota Blue and Slurricane are all interesting rivals, though.

Joseph O'Brien has a strong hand with PRAIRIE ANGEL (nap) preferred to Janes Harbour, though Lakota Blue is also respected

LUNA GIRL defied a big price when third over C&D and the runner-up she was less than a length behind bids to frank the form in today's opener. Richard Hannon's filly is fancied to take another step forward and she should take the beating. Blue Secret has been costly to follow so far but was only beaten half a length at Wolverhampton and she can put forward another bold bid. Bridget's View should be able to build on her debut fifth at Haydock.

BRIDGET'S VIEW caught the eye when a close fifth at Haydock on debut in August and could be the answer in what looks an ordinary novice for the track. Market support for one of the newcomers would look significant, with Blast The Dream and Sea Poetry both appealing as likely types.

Among those with experience, LUNA GIRL is preferred to Bridget's View and Blue Secret, but the newcomers have to be feared.

A taking winner on his hurdles bow at Market Rasen last month, ROADLESSTRAVELLED is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming. The O'Neills' five-year-old, who cost 215,000 pounds out of the pointing field, may have too much for Samwise, who showed good determination to spring a surprise at Kelso. Marlacoo is another to consider on the back of a promising stable debut when third at Warwick.

ROADLESSTRAVELLED created a good impression when making a winning hurdling debut at Maket Rasen 18 days ago and, with the timefigure supporting his performance, he's fancied to improve and defy a penalty at the first time of asking. Marlacoo and The Grafter are other likely improvers, and they are considered the main threats.

Point winner ROADLESSTRAVELLED won in good style at Market Rasen last month and can make it 2-2 under rules.

NORTHERN AIR stepped up on her racecourse debut in a bumper to finish runner-up on her hurdling bow at Wincanton in April, when held up off the pace for the majority of the contest, and she is likely to progress again on the back of subsequent wind surgery. Fergal O'Brien's mare gets the vote ahead of the consistent Step Out, who has not been outside the first two in his last three starts. A promising third on his Rules debut here in March, Saracen Beau is of interest on his first attempt over obstacles, as is point-to-point winner My Kiwi Girl.

NORTHERN AIR was a big eye catcher when runner-up to a subsequent winner on her Wincanton hurdling debut back in the spring and, open to plenty of improvement, is a straightforward choice to go one better on this return to action. Step Out and Reflection of You are fancied to fill the places.

Top of the list is NORTHERN AIR who caught the eye on her hurdling debut at Wincanton and is open to any amount of improvement.

Easter Icon accounted for his nearest rival by two and a half lengths over an extended 2m5f at Fontwell last time and should remain competitive off a 7lb higher rating. However, the vote goes to NACHTGEIST, who finished well clear of the third when filling the runner-up spot at Huntingdon and is only 1lb higher. The four-year-old might be able to record his first success in this sphere, while Gentleman's Relish is another to consider.

With his hurdles debut success back in the summer having been well advertised by the runner-up since, HELL HOUND produced a promising comeback run over a trip likely to prove short of his optimum at Fontwell 4 weeks ago. Starting out in handicaps from a very appealing mark, he earns the vote ahead of another improving sort in the shape of Ballytechno. Katate Dori, on seasonal bow, Gentleman's Relish and Don't Tell Su are just a trio of others worthy of a second look.

This looks difficult. KATATE DORI has more to offer this term and his connections nearly won this last year with a seasonal debutant.
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up in the Champion Bumper before finishing fifth in another Grade 1 at Punchestown, ROMEO COOLIO looks just the type that could excel over hurdles this season and he can strike on his jumping debut for leading connections. A well-bred sort by Linda's Lad, his stablemate Lygon Lad may be able to give him the most to think about on debut, while Cutthewire is can build upon a promising third at Fairyhouse last month. Harry's Legacy and Viceregent have been plying their trade on the Flat of late and cannot be ruled out either.

A race which revolves around Champion bumper runner-up ROMEO COOLIO who will surely be a cut above this opposition if taking to his new discipline. Presenting Max and fairly useful Flat performer Harry's Legacy might be the pair to fight it out for the forecast spot.

This should be straightforward for the Champion Bumper runner-up ROMEO COOLIO, who was an expensive purchase after a maiden point win
Class & Speed Card

The consistent Harry's Halo ran on strongly to lead close home at Redcar and appears primed to sustain another strong bid, although the 4lb rise may be difficult to defy. Therefore, a chance is taken on DASHING DICK, who shaped as if this drop in trip should suit when second over 7f at Yarmouth. Off an unchanged mark, William Stone's runner can add a Rowley Mile success to his two victories on the July Course here. Recent Nottingham scorer Bay Breeze completes the shortlist.

A tight-knit sprint in which HARRY'S HALO rates just the pick of the weights on the back of his recent Redcar victory so he edges the vote. The consistent Dashing Dick is next on the list, although a solid case can also be made for Bay Breeze, Music Society and Spring Bloom.

Spring Bloom and Dashing Dick can feature but dropping into 0-80 company could see a return to top form from MANY A STAR.
Class & Speed Card

Not beaten far when rallying late for second at Hexham in May, CHOOSETHENEWS looks the one to beat on this occasion if brushing up on his jumping. A mark of 123 looks manageable and he is narrowly preferred to Tedley, who made a successful start to his chasing career over 2m at Uttoxeter last month. King's Threshold and William Cody have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.

TEDLEY looked a natural when making a winning debut over fences on his comeback at Uttoxeter 2 weeks ago and is fancied to follow up if this doesn't come too soon. William Cody is a solid alternative, with King's Threshold best of the others.

Choosethenews could be on a good mark but preference is for the 5yo TEDLEY, who made a winning chase debut at Uttoxeter.
Class & Speed Card

A taking winner over 2m4f at Worcester when last seen in August, IRONHILL has since switched yards, and a 4lb rise could prove lenient as he looks to notch up a third career success. It was only late in the piece that Wal Buck's got the hang of things on chase debut at Perth in May, and stepping up in trip on this occasion looks like a good move. Experienced at this level, Euchan Falls and Grand Voyage are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

PATS DREAM has the potential for better under Rules and may be able to fulfil it now he's moved to a shrewd stable, so he's preferred to Wal Buck's who is expected to leave the form of his chasing debut at Perth well behind. Grand Voyage should be on the premises.

Plenty have possibilities but it might be worth giving another chance to Lucinda Russell's unexposed 5yo WAL BUCK'S.
Class & Speed Card

Samarrive hasn't been seen since hitting the crossbar over track and trip just under year ago and it would be no surprise to see him go close off 2lb lower on his return to action. However, he might come out second best to BHALOO, who occupied the runner-up berth on his handicap debut over hurdles at Warwick in May and now makes his first chase start. Nicky Henderson's six-year-old might prove a different proposition over fences and gets the nod. What Path completes the shortlist.

Expensive winning pointer LEADER IN THE PARK looks the type to do even better over hurdles so could be on a nice mark starting out in this sphere. Samarrive has been off the track since a good second over C&D 11 months ago but he can go well fresh so rates the main threat.

None of the five can be dismissed but LEADER IN THE PARK probably has the most potential of these as a chaser.
Class & Speed Card

This looks wide-open and only a tentative vote can go to LIEBER NICC. Henry de Bromhead's gelding won his maiden at Wexford in July before chasing home a now 132-rated rival at Killarney last month, and a revised figure of 119 might prove lenient now pitched into a handicap. Kala Conti claimed Grade 2 honours last Christmas before being far from disgraced in the Spring Juvenile Hurdle. Returning from an opening mark of 130, she looks a player. Others to note include Ninth Titan, Enniskerry and Banana Three.

Lots with chances but the vote goes to DAME RAPIDE who had a bit up her sleeve when going in at Fairyhouse last time. Wajaaha is weighted to go close and next on the list with Walhaan, Lieber Nicc and Dark Note all worthy of consideration too.

Very open but a chance is taken on the handicap debutant LIEBER NICC off what looks a workable mark
Class & Speed Card

Anything running for the super-charged Ralph Beckett yard has to be of interest at present and CHELSEA EMBANKMENT is another highly attractive stable contender. A visor is added in a bid to provide the missing ingredient for a first career win, with trip and ground to suit. Nursery debutant Grecian Legacy could flourish if he copes with stepping up in trip back on turf, while Nottingham winner Modern Utopia also appeals, despite an 8lb higher mark.

MODERN UTOPIA ran out a very impressive winner of a deep-ground Nottingham nursery and can follow up after an 8 lb rise if she's in the same sort of form. Charming Fellow is highly respected after his Pontefract victory, while Vilaine Verlaine and Grecian Legacy are also in the hunt.

A slow learner, CHARMING FELLOW is now thriving in nurseries and the form of his Pontefract win looks solid. He can follow up.
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up in this contest last year before going on to finish an excellent third in the Champion Hurdle, LUCCIA sets a lofty standard and looks primed to strike on her return. An encouraging third in the Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle at Chepstow last month, Take No Chances may be better over further but she must be noted. Sweet Fantasy was an impressive winner when last seen in this sphere at Catterick in March and is worth a crack at this sort of prize.

LUCCIA sets a clear standard on her Grade 1 efforts in the spring and is likely to prove a tough nut to crack. The James Owen-trained Sweet Fantasy might be the one to give her most to do as the drop back to 2m may not be ideal for Royal Eagle and Take No Chances.

Leading form contender Luccia was a beaten favourite in this last year and preference is for SWEET FANTASY, who is 2-2 over hurdles.
Class & Speed Card

Now that SHOESHINE BOY has regained the winning thread with a determined performance at Hexham last month, the eight-year-old may be able to follow up off just 3lb higher at a track where he has an excellent record. Faithfulflyer bounced back to form with an encouraging second over 2m5f at Kelso last time out and he must enter calculations, along with the returning Ottizzini, who was placed in a Listed mares' novices' hurdle last season.

FAITHFULFLYER arrives on the back of a career-best second at Kelso last month and gets the vote. Stuart Crawford enjoys plenty of course success so his mare Ottizini may give him most to do ahead of last year's winner Glinger Flame.

The most appealing option is OTTIZZINI (nap) who had solid form in the first half of the year and may still have untapped potential.
Class & Speed Card

Saint Segal returned from a wind operation to finish a well-beaten fourth at Chepstow last month, but he might improve on that effort and isn't dismissed off a 2lb lower mark. However, MARTATOR looks the way to go. Venetia Williams' seven-year-old completed a hat-trick in fine style at Sandown on his latest outing and a 7lb rise might prove to be lenient. Frere d'Armes was denied by a length into second at Kempton recently and can fight it out for the minor honours.

MASTER CHEWY enjoyed an excellent first season over fences and is fancied to capitalise on an attractive mark back in handicap company on his return. Matterhorn is worth forgiving his blip at Newton Abbot last time and could emerge as the chief threat, although Martator, Uncle Phil and Frere D'Armes can all make their presence felt too in this cracking handicap.

Class act MASTER CHEWY (nap) went up only 4lb for nearly winning a Grade 1 when last seen at Aintree and that was no fluke.
Class & Speed Card

SHAJAK has made a pleasing start to life over the larger obstacles, taking the silver medal on both of his chase starts this term, and this represents a good opportunity for him to go one better. The JP McManus-owned runner looks to be the first string for the powerful Gordon Elliott yard, and an opening handicap mark of 119 doesn't appear out of his reach. Stablemate Valsorpresa is likely to appreciate this extra yardage and he could be on an exploitable mark with Carl Millar's 7lb claim to aid his cause, while Hascoeur Clermont heads the remainder.

SHAJAK stepped up a bit on his chasing debut form despite being unsuited by the drop back in trip when second at Gowran, which suggests he has more to offer still now going up in distance. Hascoeur Clermont is a potential threat if able to back up his latest run, with Charlie Luciano another to consider.

Beaten by a stablemate in two beginners' events, SHAJAK has a realistic chance of stepping into the limelight on his handicap debut
Class & Speed Card

The progressive Tribal Chief is shortlisted because he has won his last three starts in a cosy manner and might well brush aside a further 9lb hike imposed after showing a good turn of foot to win a class 4 handicap at Yarmouth. However, this is a stiffer test and, with that in mind, it could be worth chancing the reliable PLANTADREAM, who went down by just a short head against mainly higher-rated opposition at Goodwood most recently. Encourageable and Spirit Catcher also warrant serious consideration.

TRIBAL CHIEF is improving quickly and, having scored in impressive fashion at Yarmouth on his most recent outing, a 9 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the 4-timer. Plantadream came agonisingly close to ending a long losing run at Goodwood in August and can go well once again, with Waiting All Night completing the shortlist having shaped better than the bare result in the Cambridgeshire Handicap last month.

Tribal Chief and Bullet Point may grab the most attention but ENCOURAGEABLE gains the vote. Plantadream is also shortlisted.
Class & Speed Card

A competitive renewal sees a chance taken on THUNDER ROCK, who returns to this sphere for the first time since April 2022. Olly Murphy's runner has progressed nicely over the larger obstacles and, with the benefit of a break after struggling to land a blow in the Bowl at Aintree, he is fancied to make it five wins out of seven over hurdles. Sandor Clegane has yet to get off the mark over fences and last year's Albert Bartlett third should be seen to better effect back over timber. Dashel Drasher, who finished third 12 months ago, is the highest rated of these, while Kateira comes right into the reckoning too.

KATEIRA has strong claims on these terms if she stays and is taken to give her yard a third win in the last 5 renewals. Irish challengers Sandor Clegane and Beacon Edge are solid dangers.

11yo DASHEL DRASHER is a specialist staying hurdler, unlike several others in this, and he is a tempting option even with a penalty.
Class & Speed Card

DONNY BOY was far from disgraced when filling third place in a competitive handicap over 3m at this venue on his latest outing in April. The strength of that form suggests that the eight-year-old could play a leading role here, despite a 2lb rise. White Rhino showed plenty of promise over hurdles last season and should not be underestimated on his chasing bow, while similar comments apply to Whistle Stop Tour.

All 5 need considering in a small but select field. HELLO JUDGE may be seen to best advantage from a tactical point of view so shades the vote over interesting chasing debutants White Rhino and Whistle Stop Tour.

All five have chances but preference is for HELLO JUDGE who has proven fitness on his side and receives plenty of weight all round.
Class & Speed Card

Illegal D'ainay made up for his early departure at Uttoxeter in early May when opening his account at Plumpton eight days later. Freddie Gordon's 5lb claim effectively negates most of the 6lb penalty and another prominent role is forecast, but hurdling debutant TRIPOLI FLYER may have too much class. The Fergal O'Brien-trained five-year-old finished a cracking second in the Grade 2 Aintree bumper in April and he is likely to take some stopping. Clap Of Thunder may chase the duo home.

TRIPOLI FLYER progressed with each run in bumpers last season, culminating with an excellent second in a Grade 2 at Aintree on final outing, and looks a novice hurdler to follow. Illegal d'Ainay and Clap of Thunder are fancied to battle it out for minor honours.

A weak renewal of what's often a very good race and an ideal opportunity for TRIPOLI FLYER to land running over hurdles.
Class & Speed Card

GERRI COLOMBE made a winning return in this race last season and went on to fill second place in the Savills and Gold Cup prior to his success in the Bowl at Aintree. The eight-year-old will obviously take plenty of stopping if running to the same high level. Envoi Allen was only a neck behind him 12 months ago and could give him plenty to think about once again. Hewick's best form would also give him a chance and his recent effort at Punchestown should help him here.

A good starting point for last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up GERRI COLOMBE, who won 2 Grade 1s last year, including this race on his return. Envoi Allen was beaten only a neck by the selection in this 12 months ago and rates the main threat again.

Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up GERRI COLOMBE can repeat his 2023 defeat of Envoi Allen in this race and should have more to spare

With Bassadanza noted on the back of two all-the-way successes over 7f, this is likely to be run at a strong tempo, especially as Protest is also capable of racing prominently and should kick on after her cosy win on debut at Chelmsford. However, SMOKEN impressed when striking in a Nottingham maiden 17 days ago and, rated an exciting prospect after that introduction, there should be more to come from this unexposed daughter of Too Darn Hot.

SMOKEN looked good on her Nottingham debut and is selected to make it 2-2 for in-form Ralph Beckett. Tundra Rose has looked promising on both starts and may provide the chief threat ahead of Protest but this is a race full of potential improvers.

It's not easy to weigh up the degrees of promise but SMOKEN is given the vote ahead of Waardah.
Class & Speed Card

Bravemansgame won this contest in 2022 and was second last year, so he shouldn't be too far away with a break off the track and wind surgery possibly in his favour. Therefore, FRENCH DYNAMITE is fancied to give trainer Mouse Morris a second win in this contest in as many years. The Robcour-owned nine-year-old justified market support when fending off a strong field to land the Grade 3 BetVictor Chase at Punchestown last month and, with his race-fitness assured, another bold bid can be expected. Conflated is another Irish raider who commands the utmost respect.

BRAVEMANSGAME took this event in 2022 and although he didn't hit the same heights last term he has a good record fresh and looks the one to beat on the back of breathing surgery. Irish challenger Conflated is on a lengthy losing sequence but also has the form to have a say.

A chance is taken on HANG IN THERE who has been a revelation in staying handicap chases this summer. Bravemansgame is feared most.
Class & Speed Card

ROCHEVAL arrives here unbeaten following a hat-trick of victories last season, the most recent of which came over 2m1f at Carlisle in March. An opening mark of 120 could underestimate the four-year-old, especially as he may have more improvement left to come. Ridin Solo also makes the shortlist on his handicap bow following an encouraging third at Stratford last month. Mack The Man edges out Dance Thief to be best of the rest.

GREEN SKY is taken to provide new trainer Stuart Crawford with a second successive win in this contest. Fellow lightly-raced types Ridin Solo, Coastal Rock and Rocheval make this an interesting handicap.

Unbeaten ROCHEVAL may be able to give the weight to Coastal Rock now both make their handicap debuts, the latter for a new yard.

Having been withdrawn at Cheltenham last week after unseating his jockey and getting loose, Fiercely Proud must keep his temperament in check. Ben Pauling's gelding should have more to offer in this second season over hurdles and he isn't taken lightly, but SECRET SQUIRREL finished two places ahead in fifth when they clashed in the Novices' Championship Final at Sandown in April and shades the verdict. Hat-trick seeking duo Break My Soul and Stream Of Stars may fare best of the remainder.

The suggestion in an interesting handicap is SECRET SQUIRREL, who has the profile of one likely to do better again this season. Fiercely Proud and Break My Soul are other 5-y-os with few miles on the clock, while Tapley is respected on the back of his recent Plumpton success.

Claims can be made for several of these but if there's a blot on the handicap it's probably Joe Tizzard's new recruit RIGHTSOTOM.

Galway Plate hero Pinkerton did nothing but improve last term and, fit from a satisfactory effort when third over 1m6f on the level at Navan recently, another bold bid looks imminent. That said, FOUND A FIFTY edges preference. He lost little in defeat when finishing second behind brilliant Arkle winner Gaelic Warrior at Cheltenham, before justifying favouritism in a Grade 1 over 2m at Aintree. Stepping back up in trip, he should be tough to stop. Lucid Dreams is also noteworthy.

FOUND A FIFTY signed off a highly productive novice season in this sphere with success in Grade 1 company at Aintree in April and, despite conceding weight all round, he's fancied to make a bold bid with his yard boasting a fine record in this race. Galway Plate winner Pinkerton rates the chief threat ahead of Lucid Dreams.

The Galway Plate winner PINKERTON has a theoretical edge at the weights. Race-fitness may be enough to see him beat Found a Fifty

Having carried top weight when landing the spoils in a class 2 handicap at York last month, another prominent role is forecast from Bolster in this Listed event. However, the lightly-raced EYDON makes slightly more appeal on the back of his close-up second at this level in the Doonside Cup at Ayr. A similar performance may prove sufficient from Andrew Balding's charge and a second career victory beckons. The down-in-grade Checkandchallenge is unlikely to be far away either.

EYDON arguably shaped best when runner-up to Persica at Ayr last time and, with few miles on the clock, he can improve further to get the better of Bolster, who was better than ever last time. Checkandchallenge can compete if back to his best.

Four of the five appear in serious contention but back-to-form EYDON gets the vote ahead of last year's winner Checkandchallenge.

WILLIETHEBUILDER was only beaten a short-head when second in a similar event over C&D a couple of weeks ago and Dan Skelton's gelding merits plenty of respect once again, despite a 2lb rise. Salsada was also narrowly denied on her most recent outing at Hexham and she could prove to be the main threat, although Goblet Of Fire should not be discounted.

WILLIETHEBUILDER was firmly back on track after 8 months off/following wind surgery when narrowly denied in a C&D handicap 17 days ago and with further progress on the cards, he could well be the answer here. Southwell scorer Goblet of Fire is another improving sort and he's feared, along with the returning Spirits Bay.

Nicky Henderson-trained 4yo GOBLET OF FIRE (nap) was a smooth winner at Southwell recently and could still be ahead of the handicapper.
Class & Speed Card

The Kalooki Kid has to be of interest on his return to action having shown promise as a novice hurdler last season, but marginal preference is for MYRETOWN. Lucinda Russell's gelding had plenty in hand when landing a maiden hurdle at Kelso in March and the winning point-to-pointer may progress now switched to fences. Cases can be made for all of the remainder, but Whizz Kid is just the pick of them.

MYRETOWN had a promising season over hurdles last season but has always promised to peak over fences (scopey ex-pointer), so he's worth a chance to make a successful start in this sphere. Park Annonciade should put a poor chasing debut behind him and The Kalooki Kid is another one who merits consideration.

Lucinda Russell's MYRETOWN looked anything but exposed over hurdles and is taken to get off the mark over fences at the first attempt.

HIGHSTAKESPLAYER reappeared from a long absence to score at Kempton in February and after possibly bouncing in the Greatwood Gold Cup at Newbury 22 days later, he then registered another Kempton victory. Having gone well fresh on a right-handed track previously, this unexposed staying chaser gets the vote to score off 5lb higher. Cheltenham Festival winner Chianti Classico wasn't disgraced when fourth in an Aintree Grade 1 and enters calculations, with Amirite and Neon Moon just two more to consider.

Lots with chances but Ultima hero CHIANTI CLASSICO begins his second season as a chaser on an attractive mark and with better to come from Kim Bailey's highly progressive sort he looks very much the way to go. Highstakesplayer boasts an impressive strike rate over fences and heads the list of dangers, although the lightly-raced Our Power is also weighted to have a say and in-form duo Hidden Depths and Mylesfromwicklow need factoring in too.

2022 winner OUR POWER has an awful lot in his favour as he'll love the ground, goes well fresh and his handicap mark is fine.

The Gordon Elliott-trained duo Classical Creek and KOKTAIL BRUT both won their sole point-to-point starts and are highly noteworthy debutants in the Gigginstown House Stud colours. The former is a half-brother to a bumper winner and can make an impact, but his stablemate set connections back 250,000 euros and is a shade more intriguing at this stage. Mileview and Dance Monkey are a couple of other appealing Rules newcomers to consider.

Gordon Elliott introduces two exciting recruits from points and it's likely to develop between the pair, with CLASSICAL CREEK fancied to edge out stablemate Koktail Brut in what should be a fascinating duel. Hunsaker also makes some appeal on paper.

Gordon Elliott's points' winners are likely the ones to concentrate on, CLASSICAL CREEK getting the nod over Koktail Brut

MADAME DE SEVIGNE scored a shade cosily when making headway from the rear and landing the spoils over C&D last month. Sean D Bowen negates a 3lb rise in the ratings with his claim and a brace could be on the cards for the three-year-old filly. The biggest threat may be served by Mysteryofthesands, who arrives on the back of a close-up second at Doncaster last week. Tennessee Gold and Hodler are others to consider.

Already a dual winner this term, TENNESSEE GOLD ran right up to his best when third in a big-field 3-y-o handicap at Newbury (7f) in August and back against his elders, he makes plenty of appeal again. Madame de Sevigne and Hodler come here in good order also and are feared. Pressure's On is another meriting a second look returned to this venue.

Hodler should be nailed on to run well in this race once more but MADAME DE SEVIGNE (nap) is on a roll over 7f and is preferred.

ITSO FURY bounced back to form when narrowly denied over 2m4f at Ludlow last month and the step up in trip could bring about the required improvement to defy a 2lb rise. Geryville is likely to go well if returning in the same form ash he ended last season, while Topofthecotswolds edges out Gold Link and Roll With It to be best of the rest.

ITSO FURY made a positive step when runner-up at Ludlow on his latest outing and he's well treated on hurdling exploits, so he gets the marginal vote over Geryville, who was in good order when last seen 6 months ago. Topofthecotswolds is another one to consider.

The return to chasing is a positive for TASTE THE FEAR, who won two in a row over fences in the spring, and he gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

SUN DANCER GIRL recorded a third win from her last four starts when on target over 1m6f here in July and with a drop in trip unlikely to be an issue, Andrew Balding's improving filly can defy a 6lb rise in the handicap. Dance Time hit the woodwork over C&D last month and the addition of first-time cheekpieces could eke out some improvement. Cherry Burton is also noted.

An open looking handicap with a chance taken on OBSIDIAN KNIGHT. His exploits have been mixed in recent months yet he returns to an artificial surface lurking on a handy mark and his most recent effort at Windsor is best ignored in isolation. Sugarloaf Lenny and Sun Dancer Girl, who was thriving when last seen, are others to consider.

The vote goes to DANCE TIME who has finished first and second in two goes over C&D, only finding an in-form rival too strong last time.
Class & Speed Card

MISS IRELAND belied obvious inexperience to make a winning start under Rules in a Fontwell bumper and that looked a smart effort, despite her eccentricities throughout the race. Sporting first-time cheekpieces, she gets the vote to go in again and confirm herself a promising individual. There is plenty to like about Eternal Angel's chances on paper and he must enter calculations on his introduction for a top stable. Kajikia and Oakley's Way are also noteworthy.

DRACO MALFOY fetched six figures after landing the second of his two starts in points and his in-form stable should have him well forward for this first go under Rules, so he takes preference over Eternal Angel and Kajikia, who both represent top yards. Youdecide is another interesting point recruit.

An open-looking bumper. OAKLEY'S WAY showed distinct promise in what we now know was a strong race at Wincanton.
Class & Speed Card

Lost In Time landed a gamble when winning at Yarmouth recently and although he's respected off 4lb higher, KOJIN is preferred. Ian Williams' gelding exploited a sliding handicap mark to score at Wolverhampton eight days ago and a 3lb rise looks well within range. Where Is The Love shaped with promise on her latest outing and is still open to improvement.

WHERE IS THE LOVE arrives easily the least exposed and, having run creditably from a less-than-ideal position when fourth at Wolverhampton 4 weeks ago, she could be the way to go. Last-time-out winners Lost in Time and Kojin are others to consider, with Velvet Vulcan and Bay of Naples others in the mix.

The vote goes to dual C&D winner BOND SPIRIT who has dropped 1lb below his last winning mark.
Class & Speed Card

Straight A bounced back in no uncertain terms when winning at Wolverhampton recently. A 5lb rise looks more than fair on that evidence and he can go well, but it is TURBO COMMAND that shades preference. The son of War Command travelled strongly into contention over the mile at Newcastle last time before fading in the closing stages, so the drop to 7f might prove ideal. Scarlet Lady heads the remainder.

STRAIGHT A looked better than ever when going in at Wolverhampton last time and is fancied to make light of a 5 lb rise in the weights. C&D winner Crown's Lady is next on the list, with Turbo Command and Havana Force also well in the mix.

The choice is STRAIGHT A who bounced back to winning ways at Wolverhampton nine days ago. He may have more to offer.
Class & Speed Card

Yoshimi struck by half a length in this grade at Chelmsford on his most recent start and holds an obvious chance off 3lb higher. However, it may pay to side with KING OF YORK, who wasn't disgraced in fifth over a mile here last time and goes off an unchanged mark. Currently rated 9lb lower than his last success here in March, Scott Dixon's five-year-old looks well placed to record a third course-and-distance success. Charlie Mason is another to note.

KING OF ITHACA can look a bit ungainly at times but it's reasonable to assume he remains in form having been left poorly placed at Kempton on his most recent outing, so he gets the nod back down in grade. Yoshimi remains well treated on old form following a 3 lb rise for his recent Chelmsford success and is feared most.

King Of York and King Of Ithaca bring sound claims but the well-treated SIR MAXI is taken to gain a first win for Sam England.

SKY ADVOCATE failed to land the odds when hitting the crossbar over this trip at Wolverhampton last time, but he sets a lofty standard in this contest with a rating of 88. The son of Inns Of Court might only need to produce a repeat of that display in order to get off the mark. Chelsea Old Church shaped with promise in third on his debut at Chester in August and should go well, while Kempton runner-up Pave The Way is another to take seriously.

SKY ADVOCATE is holding his form well and could be hard to beat. My Mate Beattie probably should have won at Leicester and has strong claims. Pave The Way and newcomer Tsarinas Song are also considered.

This looks a good opportunity for SKY ADVOCATE who sets a useful standard on his three performances so far.

After winning at York in May, JUBILEE WALK failed to justify favouritism in a hot handicap at Ascot in June, but the performance is worth an upgrade as he may have been disadvantaged by racing on the unfavoured side of the track. James Ferguson's three-year-old goes off the same mark and might be able to regain the winning thread with less on his plate today. First Folio made every yard of the running to score at this level at Yarmouth in September and would be foolish to dismiss off 4lb higher. Navello is a player based on his victory at Wolverhampton two starts ago.

Lightly-raced 3-y-o JUBILEE WALK is taken to resume his progression after a break. King's Lynn has run well to be placed on all 3 AW starts and is second choice ahead of Rousing Encore, Intervention and Chief Manikato in quite a useful sprint handicap.

He may be up in class but ROUSING ENCORE (nap) looked in fine fettle when winning at Ayr last month. King's Lynn can chase him home

A two-time winner over C&D, SARDINIAN WARRIOR impressed when readily making all here last month and it would be no surprise if he were able to bring up a hat-trick now making his handicap debut. Savvy Victory was readily outclassed in a Newmarket Group 3 over 1m1f when last seen but, eased in grade and sporting first-time cheekpieces, he should not be dismissed lightly. Silver Sword wasn't disgraced when finishing down the field in the Cambridgeshire on his penultimate start and, on the back of an neck second over a mile at Kempton most recently, he merits consideration off 2lb higher.

SARDINIAN WARRIOR looked a Group horse in the making when bolting up over C&D last time and he can prove himself better than an opening mark of 97. The thriving Kalamunda should go well and Silver Sword is likely to put up another solid showing.

Preference is for the lightly raced SARDINIAN WARRIOR who is 2-2 over C&D. It's hard to say at this stage just how good he is.

CARBINE HARVESTER showed plenty of early toe before fading into fourth over 6f in testing ground at Nottingham on his second start last month. Now eased in trip, William Haggas' two-year-old gets the nod to land the spoils in what looks a winnable affair. Mae Amor was last seen finishing second over this trip at Thirsk in August and a bold bid in first-time cheekpieces is expected, while Dothan is also considered.

MAE AMOR failed to land cramped odds when last seen at Thirsk in August but the pick of her form gives her sound claims back from a 3-month break and she's narrowly selected to come out on top with cheekpieces now reached for. Just King High and Dothan head up the dangers, ahead of Carbine Harvester.

Just High King and DOTHAN make some appeal and the latter is marginally preferred now dropped to 5f.

DRIFTS AWAY showed a likeable attitude when making all over a mile at Chelmsford on his second start in a handicap recently and, off 3lb higher, he looks capable of landing a double. A 1lb rise for a recent runner-up effort over an extended mile at Wolverhampton doesn't discount Juan Cool Dude, while Kessaar Power was on target over this trip at Chelmsford last month and merits consideration off 5lb higher.

This is wide open so it is worth siding with HIGH COURT JUDGE to build on an encouraging start for James Owen and resume winning ways. Drifts Away rates a big threat on the back of his recent Chelmsford victory, while Juan Cool Dude, Triple Force and Flying Panther all need factoring in too.

The selection is TRIPLE FORCE who put up one of his best efforts when chasing home a subsequent winner over C&D in September.
Ths is the racecard key.
