(7) Ambassador 18/1, Scored by 3 1/2l off 88 at Cartmel in August; made too much use of last time; effective at 2m and remains well treated on old efforts, though inconsistent.
Won at Cartmel in August but soundly beaten on his three starts since.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

A winner over the best part of 2m5f at Kelso in May, Benefit Ben is not certain to appreciate this shorter distance and ZENATO is of more interest. Fergal O'Brien's charge struck over the extended 2m trip at Stratford last month and a 4lb rise may not be enough to prevent another bold bid from the improving four-year-old. Dexter was pulled up after his saddle slipped at Bangor, but had been in decent form over fences before that and is not out of this.

Having been in good form over fences for the majority of this season, DEXTER is taken to make a winning return to hurdles.

Placed in all three bumpers and ought to give another good account on hurdle debut.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content,

With a small field tactics could be key here, and that points the way to HOPELESS DANCER, who may get an easy time on the front. Freshers Week arrives unbeaten after winning a point-to-point and making a successful debut over hurdles, but his jumping needs improvement and he has to give weight away to all of his rivals. Tiptoptim also has claims if his stamina holds out over this trip.

With the form of last month's Uttoxeter second having worked out very well in the meantime, TIPTOPTIM gets the nod.

Likes to make the running, effective over 2 1/2m, and acts on good or good to soft ground. Inconsistent over hurdles but showed promise on first chase start.
Useful hurdler at best but was held in a match on chase debut at Warwick on Tuesday.
LTO Selection:hiden content,

SIXMILEBRIDGE was a classy hurdler, winning three times before finishing ninth in the Turners at the Cheltenham Festival in March behind The New Lion. Although likely to be better over further than this in time, a clear round should see him make a winning start to his chasing career. Josh The Boss was also useful over hurdles and will be dangerous if turned out quickly after his defeat in a Warwick match on Tuesday.

Grade 2 hurdle winner SIXMILEBRIDGE is an exciting recruit to fences and this is a good opportuity on his chase debut.

I AM LORENZO hasn't run since struggling at Grade 1 level in February, but has nice ability. Previously trained by Gavin Cromwell, his maiden hurdle form was useful and although his lack of a recent run is a concern, his yard is doing well and he likes soft ground. St Lawrence's Well has a race-fitness advantage and was defeated by a subsequent Listed winner at Cork last time. He drops in distance and competes on softer ground, but should give the selection a race under his 7lb claimer. Kovanis won a Leopardstown bumper last Christmas. but was well enough held on his reappearance at Punchestown last month.

Just denied over this trip at Leopardstown last season for Gavin Cromwell, I AM LORENZO looks the one to beat on his return to action

A dual bumper winner, including over this trip here, SWINGINGONTHESTEEL makes most appeal. The form of his latest victory has worked out well and Rebecca Menzies' charge has a leading chance if proving as effective in this sphere. Noble George is another hurdling debutant capable of getting involved, while the rest appear up against it but Yanka Blue is the pick of them.

Having completed a bumper double when winning here in April, SWINGINGONTHESTEEL earns the vote on this hurdle debut.

Collingham returns to hurdles after pulling up over fences at Worcester in August, but he has a good record over hurdles and enters the equation off his current mark. Upped in trip after winning by a neck here last month, the four-year-old can only improve for his first start in seven months.

Last year's winner MELTON MOSSY (nap) made an encouraging seasonal reappearance last month and remains on a workable mark.

Bowmore might go well after returning with a second at Market Rasen over this distance last month, but he has been put up 2lb for that and is yet to win in handicap company. INSIDE MAN is improving all the time and won with plenty in hand at Newton Abbot a couple of months ago. An extra 4lb may not stop him doubling up with the chance of another step forward. Double Oban is upped in class for his seasonal debut after winning four of his last five starts and could also get involved.

It's a tricky choice but BELIEVITANDUCAN might be the one to latch on to, for one of the in-form stables.

Point-to-point and bumper winner SCOPE TO IMPROVE debuts over hurdles and can continue his yard's good run. Successful in a Necarne point, he scored nicely at Naas in December but disappointed somewhat when racing a little keenly at the Aintree Festival. He will be ready on reappearance and notably receives weight from his principal dangers. Top-weight If You Believe also scored between the flags and although well held in a valuable bumper at Punchestown in April, that is traditionally a strong race. Bumper winner Big Dispute is rated just 104 and while he appears to be better than that mark, might still struggle to win this.

Bumper winner SCOPE TO IMPROVE looks the one to beat now on hurdles debut

Intent Approach reappeared following a 528-day layoff at Listowel in September so should improve from that run.

ABSOLUTELY DOYEN beat a fairly weak line-up to get off the mark on his first start for Paul Nicholls when sent off at a very short price and there is every chance he has been found a good chance to follow up, even though he has to give weight away. Lowlands showed plenty of improvement to come home fourth at Perth on her first start since wind surgery and could prove a serious danger. The Hawkstonian may chase them home.

Having got off the mark at Stratford last month, this looks a good opportunity for ABSOLUTELY DOYEN to make it 2-2 for Paul Nicholls.

EASY BUCKS, who was hampered by a faller when he unseated at Listowel before enduring further misfortune with a relatively soft fall at Hexham last time, could be the answer if negotiating a trouble-free run this time. The small field can help the selection and he can make the most receiving 10lb from his likely main rival, Minniemum. The betting market can guide regarding Concetto, who is a four-time chase winner on his first start after wind surgery.

Back over a far more suitable trip than on her reappearance at Chepstow, MINNIEMUM can make it 3-5 over fences.

Bioluminescence conceded 10lb to the selection in the aforementioned February race and although she now receives 2lb, she lacks a little of Spindleberry's ability. Kilbarry Saint should win the chase for the other black-type place.

Last seen when tilted at the 2024 Nickel Coin bumper at Aintree, this well-bred mare is an intriguing contender resuming from a break on her hurdles debut. Mighty Fleur and Lady Kara are the pick of those with jumping experience but could prove vulnerable if the selection starts to fulfil her potential.

Progressive over fences last season, Haiti Couleurs is not easily overlooked reverting to hurdles for his reappearance. However, it could pay to give another chance to EAST INDIA EXPRESS. The latter was travelling well when falling at Cheltenham on last month's seasonal debut, and Nicky Henderson's inmate has solid claims based on his six-length victory at the same venue in April. A winner at Punchestown when last in action, Thanksforthehelp is another to consider given his trainer has won three of the previous eight renewals.

Haiti Couleurs returns but this race may end up being fought out by TRANQUIL SEA (nap) and East India Express.

The 169-rated IL ETAIT TEMPS can take this on the way to a possible tilt at the Tingle Creek at Sandown. He has won five of his seven races over fences, including four at Grade One level. He goes well fresh and should make light of an absence since April when he landed the Celebration Chase. His stablemate Gentleman De Mee is weighted to make a race of it. He was last seen finishing fourth in a Grade 2 on the same Sandown card in April. He doesn't have the same strike rate over fences, but is a worthy opponent. Senecia and former Irish Grand National winner Intense Raffles may have to tussle for third place.

This looks a good opportunity for IL ETAIT TEMPS on seasonal return, although no easy task conceding 9lb to Gentleman De Mee

The forecast rain won't be welcomed by a lot of these horses. FREMANTLE DOCTOR's best result in this sphere came over a similar trip at Roscommon on soft ground last year when he took the runner-up berth. He was placed over further at Sligo last month and it could be a shrewd move reverting back to this distance. Ballycashin absolutely loves her trips to Clonmel and has a shot at exploiting her lower chase mark, particularly with Anna McGuinness easing the joint top-weight's burden by 7lb. Darragh O'Keeffe is in red-hot form and is set for another good spin on the consistent Onefortheditch. Recent Clonmel winner Kobalt St Georges and Baltinglass Hill will have their supporters.

With Anna McGuinness again claiming 7lb, BALLYCASHIN (nap) has a good chance of adding to a recent handicap hurdle at this venue

LTO Selection:

This contest looks to be between the Huntingdon winner BANKATARY and the runner-up Crack Ops. The former is penalised for that debut success, but gave the strong impression there was plenty more left in the locker, and James Owen's charge is taken to go in again. Faithful Guardian's dam is related to a winning hurdler among others and, with Alan King's yard in such fine form, he makes more appeal than fellow newcomer Captain Mainwaring.

Even with the penalty there's a good chance that BANKATARY can confirm Huntingdon places with runner-up Crack Ops.

PANJANDRUM was the subject of a positive report in a recent stable tour and could be up to making a winning racecourse debut. He landed a point-to-point in Britain for Gina Andrews last Christmas and was sold at the sales in January before being placed with Gordon Elliott. The softening ground ought to suit him well. Grandy Lane has switched to Gavin Cromwell after being pipped by a head in a Sligo maiden hurdle in May for Ian Donoghue, so is a major player. Hillfort Manor might be one that could improve upon a fourth place at Thurles last month.

Slight preference is for Gigginstown's former Gina Andrews-trained winner PANJANDRUM over Grandy Lane

EMTINAN faced a tough test when fifth in maiden company at York on debut. That looks decent form in this context, given the runner-up has subsequently placed in a Group 3, and a good account looks assured from Charlie Hills' charge. Be Patient showed ability when third over C&D on his introduction, while the 550,000gns purchase Glory Of The Seas is preferred to Heraldry and Leonato of the newcomers.

This can got to Roger Varian's newcomer GLORY OF THE SEAS, who takes the eye on pedigree and he'll likely be ready to roll first time.

STARLIGHT TIME impressively landed a maiden at Epsom on his debut in July and was rested before being pitched into the October Auction Stakes at Newmarket last month. The son of Time Test is bred to be effective on synthetic surfaces and could make a bigger impact here. Timber Twelve's Kempton novice success reads well and he is an obvious danger. Devil's Brigade, Angel Breeze and Zarco also command respect.

This is trappy as the two penalised winners are drawn wide. The newcomer SPIRIT OF ATHENE could be interesting from stall 2.

The suggestion is BAD HABITS, who has slipped a fair way in the weights and is better than the bare facts of his last run

ABSOLUTE STAR has won two of her three starts so far this year and Roger Varian's filly looks to have even more to offer. She beat the now-absent Kitaro Kich in decisive fashion at Kempton last month and the latter subsequently franked that form when scoring over 7f at the same track. Threatening returns to this shorter trip with a shout off his current mark and is preferred to Shimmering Spin of the rest.

FREDDIE'S STAR boasts the strongest form on offer and will likely prove a popular choice. The son of Starspangledbanner improves with every start and, having gone agonisingly close when caught on the line by the odds-on favourite over C&D last month, Roger Teal's charge is taken to open his account. LIPSINK continued his good progress when scoring at Wolverhampton to land the treble. Mick Appleby's charge appeared to win with plenty left in the locker on that occasion and a 4lb penalty may not be enough to halt his winning streak. Third behind the selection at Kempton last month, Tyger Bay could prove more of a threat on better terms today, while Azure Zain could also shape well representing last year's winning trainer.

Richard Fahey's strong recent record in this contest earns AZURE ZAIN the vote on the back of two good efforts on turf this autumn.

Level Up needs to bounce back after disappointing when only fifth at Wolverhampton last month. He can still go well reunited with Neil Callan, but a chance is taken on SPEED OF MAAJID, whose speed was blunted by the softer ground when second at Nottingham and Robert Cowell's gelding could surprise back on the all-weather. Mick's Spirit and General Assembly are others to consider.

Mick's Spirit should give it a good shot from the inside stall but narrow preference is for last week's Lingfield second MART.
