CRECORA HILLS hasn't run since February but represents an in-form yard and looks well handicapped. Out of a triple bumper-winning mare, the selection easily landed a course handicap hurdle over a similar distance in April 2024 and while her chase runs last season were underwhelming, she showed promise on her latest start and stepping back up in trip will help. Ceroc has a race-fitness edge and while he ran well at Clonmel last month, he doesn't seem to be as far ahead of the handicapper. The Lovely Man debuts for a new yard and is also noted.

CEROC is exceedingly consistent and took the runner-up spot once again at Clonmel, despite jumping left and this track can help that

(1) Admiral Stewart 7/2, Well backed and ran to form when dropped in class, finishing second beaten 5 1/2l in a novice hurdle over 2m at Ayr last time; effective at 2m and acts on soft ground. The type to make a better chaser but faces a smart rival.
Point/hurdle winner; may progress over fences but has a lot to find with sole rival.
LTO Selection:hiden content,

This could prove a formality for classy hurdler SALVER if taking to the larger obstacles. Narrowly defeated in the Grade 2 Select Hurdle here in April, Gary & Josh Moore's charge is related to a couple of winning chasers and will likely have the measure of Admiral Stewart on such favourable terms. The latter is a maiden hurdle winner at Ffos Las, but has it all to do on his first start over fences.

Admiral Stewart has the pointing experience that his sole opponent lacks. However, SALVER is streets ahead on ratings.

OUR BOY STAN backed up the promise he showed when second in a Listed bumper on debut at Cheltenham to score at Kempton when last seen. Ben Pauling's charge is a half-brother to dual Imperial Cup hero Go Dante and it would be no surprise to see him make an instant impression over timber. Livingit Du Large progressed from his first outing over hurdles to strike at Chepstow in January and has to be respected, while Trade War is another to keep an eye on.

Useful in bumpers last season, OUR BOY STAN is taken to extend Ben Pauling's good run of form.

MURAT looked smart in winning both his bumpers and has the size to do well over jumps. A gambled winner on debut, he was absent for 344 days prior to winning a smart Galway Festival bumper in August. He is again absent since but is likely to have been minded, and should take all of the beating if jumping well. Between Friends has her fourth hurdle outing and while she has shown promise and caught the eye at Punchestown in May, she lacks a recent run. Port Authority was left in front at the last when winning a point-to-point in March but that form isn't outstanding.

Unbeaten following two bumper wins, the latest of which came in a Galway festival winners' contest, MURAT can continue his streak

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content,

Invincible Nao landed a double over fences at Plumpton at the start of the year. However, this shorter distance and faster ground could prove his undoing, and a chance is taken on KADO DE JOIE. Nicky Henderson's charge has won four times over hurdles, including over 2m4f at Worcester when last in action, and looks well worth a crack at the larger obstacles. The Good Doctor has proved best over shorter trips so far.

Another chance is given to THE GOOD DOCTOR. Chase debutant Kado De Joie warrants respect.

Dwight K Schrute was far from disgraced when third in a novice event over the smaller obstacles at Worcester and is an interesting contender on his chasing bow. Howaya Now finished second over C&D in April and is noted, but IMPATIENT gets the vote. The seven-year-old only found one too good in this grade at Uttoxeter and competes off an unchanged mark. He accounted for Phantom Getaway by four lengths in this contest last year and looks the one to beat again.

A creditable second over C&D at the end of last season, HOWAYA NOW is still unexposed as a chaser after only two attempts.

She failed to feature in low-grade Flat handicaps but having run well at 150/1 at Thurles last month, she showed further progression to score at Sligo latest. Paul Townend rides Positive Energy, who was rated 68 on the Flat and scored on hurdling debut in March. He was well held in a smart hurdle race here in April, though, and concedes weight to the selection. Tir Og is another to bear in mind.

The top-rated of these is POSITIVE ENERGY and softer conditions, along with the booking of Paul Townend aid his chances

INTO THE PARK ticks plenty of boxes and holds strong claims. It was good ground when he went close at Uttoxeter on last month's reappearance and a bold bid is anticipated in this lower grade raised only 2lb. Paso Doble made a winning comeback at Fontwell and is preferred to his new stablemate Mon Champion, a winner over hurdles in France. Akimos may prove a threat on his handicap debut.

Assuming he builds on a good reappearance effort, INTO THE PARK may prove best. Ike Sport is second pick.

Minella Apprentice showed ability when finishing second of three over track and trip and could take a step forward to have a say. However, SOUTHFIELD FINALE picked up the silver medal behind a subsequent dual winner at Newton Abbot in April and is likely to relish this extra distance. With the Anthony Honeyball string in fine order and the potential for more to come on just his second start in this sphere, he could prove hard to beat. Sallyville Lady completes the shortlist.

They Call Me Hugo and Sallyville Lady are from major yards. SOUTHFIELD FINALE and Minella Apprentice have run over hurdles.

Point winner FRUIT DE MER showed good ability in a Limerick bumper in March, despite the disqualification. The selection defeated the now 110-rated Paul Collins by 16 lengths to win his point-to-point in April 2024 and, having passed the post first at Limerick, he was demoted to second behind the useful L'Evangeliste with five-time winner Emily Love taking third. Newbrook Diamond was purchased for 75,000 pounds following his Oldcastle point-to-point win but may struggle to beat the selection. Lar Na Pairce rates best of the rest.

Demoted to second after causing interference on bumper debut at Limerick, FRUIT DE MER can make amends here

Progressive HURRICANE PAT holds a leading chance on form. Laguna Beach, another hurdles debutant, is feared most.

SPILLANE'S TOWER won twice at Grade 1 level as a novice over fences and earned a rating in the 160s when runner-up to Fact To File on his reappearance last term in the John Durkin. He's only run twice since and now reverts to hurdles off an attractive mark on his seasonal debut. Backtonormal was a useful novice hurdler and justified strong support on his handicap debut over fences at the Dublin Racing Festival. He also switches to hurdles and has plenty of scope for improvement, while Sysko makes the shortlist too.

With 7lb claimed off bottom weight THE NAGGER REIDY is suggested as a viable each-way alternative to Spillane's Tower

Having made a winning seasonal debut at Newbury last November, Aurigny Mill merits respect on his return to action. However, Robert Walford's charge has yet to shine in two outings at this course and NARDARAN rates as the one to beat. The four-year-old was reported to have 'improved a lot for the summer' after landing the spoils at Plumpton, with an 8lb higher mark looking workable. Royal Way could also feature on the back of a wind procedure.

Off an attractive mark, ROYAL WAY is an interesting alternative to Nardaran who nevertheless warrants respect.

There was plenty of encouragement to be taken from BOSTON JOE's third-placed reappearance over hurdles here and he ticks plenty of boxes now reverting to chasing. The booking of Sean Bowen for King Of Brazil catches the eye and he's a feasible alternative now 7lb below his last winning mark. Falco Des Pins could improve now tackling fences for the first time.

INTHEPOCKET can take advantage of a considerable weight concession from some of his main rivals. The Henry de Bromhead yard was out of form when he finished third behind Ile Atlantique in a Grade 2 over C&D in January. The Grade 1-winning hurdler has not been seen since, but de Bromhead's string could not be in better form at present. Ile Atlantique was subsequently let down by his jumping last term and perhaps a greater threat may be posed by Champ Kiely. He won three times over a variety of trips last season including over this distance at Navan.

This is puzzling despite the compact field. The conditions of the race sway the vote in the direction of INTHEPOCKET

BECKETT ROCK won twice over hurdles and was a creditable sixth behind Jimmy Du Seuil in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival in March. The Kayf Tara gelding handles soft ground and may prove even better over fences. The Wallpark was very progressive over hurdles last year completing a four-timer and was third behind Bob Olinger in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham. He's an exciting recruit to fences but this trip may prove a bit sharp. Gordon Elliott also saddles Jacob's Ladder, who won twice over hurdles, while Pure Steel, Irish Panther and The Busy Fool are other hurdle winners to consider.

The trip may be inadequate for many of these. Perhaps BECKETT ROCK will prove versatile enough to score on his chasing debut

Point-to-point scorer Connies Hill is a half-sister to a winning staying hurdler/chaser so she may prove better as she steps up in distance. With that in mind, SAINT INVICTUS gets the nod. The four-year-old finished second between the flags before changing hands for 95,000 pounds in February and the booking of Harry Cobden catches the eye. Any market support behind Maria Mes would be interesting.

The Verdict comprises DROPEMATTHESTATION, Connies Hill and Saint Invictus who are interesting on their point form.

Irish point-to-point winner KATIE'S MELODY found only a subsequent hurdles winner too good in a bumper at Tipperary in May. The daughter of Flemensfirth has joined Harry Derham's in-form yard since that promising Rules debut and looks the one to side with on her return. Ledecka is a likely improver with last month's introduction at Uttoxeter under her belt, although newcomer Jollie Dame is a half-sister to a bumper winner and could prove a bigger threat.

Jollie Dame and Telegram Dam need respecting but KATIE'S MELODY rates a nice prospect given her two runs in Ireland.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
