1st (3) (5/4 +23%)Fern Hill |
5/4(+23%) | (3) Fern Hill 5/4, Returned to form down in trip off a reduced mark at a favoured venue, winning a handicap by 1 1/4l off 104 at Uttoxeter last time. Effective 2m6f-3m; inconsistent but capable of a good run after a small rise. Off a career-low mark when beating four rivals at Uttoxeter; contender off 3lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/2 +0%)Zacony Rebel |
13/2(+0%) | (4) Zacony Rebel 13/2, Outpaced late on and again below summer level when 16l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Hereford most recently. Effective at 2m4f and best on good ground; inconsistent but only just above last winning mark. Worcester winner in July but well held since, with latest third a remote one. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (15/8 -15%)Enjoy D'allen |
15/8(-15%) | (2) Enjoy D'allen 15/8, Returned to form off a reduced mark, suited by a positive ride down in grade when winning a handicap by 10l off 105 over 2m5f at Fakenham last time. Effective 2m4f-3m and acts on any ground; leading chance if repeating that level. Back up 7lb but the Fakenham stroll should have done his confidence some good. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (9/2 -29%)Fuji Flight |
9/2(-29%) | (1) Fuji Flight 9/2, Hampered, outpaced and unsuited by the track when fourth, beaten 11l, in a handicap chase over 3m5f at Cartmel last time. Effective up to 3m1f and acts on heavy and good ground; has a chance if ready to return from a break. Below his best and by some way in 3m/3m5f chases earlier this year after a mammoth absence. |

ENJOY D'ALLEN made every yard of the running to score by 10 lengths in this grade at Fakenham last month and even a 7lb rise might underestimate the manner of that success. If in similar form, he will prove a tough nut to crack. Fern Hill was victorious at Uttoxeter on his most recent outing and is just 3lb higher, so would be foolish to dismiss. Fuji Flight can beat Zacony Rebel home for third.

The 11yo ENJOY D'ALLEN looked full of beans in making all at Fakenham and that should have done his confidence some good.

(4) (2/1 +0%)Clarnagh Maid |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (6/1 +0%)Jazzy Rock |
6/1(+0%) | (9) Jazzy Rock 6/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 5l, in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and handles yielding ground. Improving with experience and should be winning soon. Handled cut on the Flat. Solid efforts all three starts over hurdles, rated 103, place claims if handles ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (11/1 +0%)Flashaway |
11/1(+0%) | (1) Flashaway 11/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 15l, in a maiden hurdle at Cork last time. Trainer in good form. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and handles soft ground. A bumper winner who should do better over hurdles, possibly when switched to handicaps. Heavy ground bumper winner, caught the eye at Cork latest, strip fitter, could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (13/8 +0%)Kom Tu Voudras |
13/8(+0%) | (11) Kom Tu Voudras 13/8, Yard won this race last year. Raced a bit freely and made mistakes but improved for her debut when third, beaten 29l, in a maiden hurdle at Tramore. Hood applied first time. Effective around 2 1/2m. Highly tried early in her career and open to further progress for top connections. Pulled up in Gr' 1 novice here in April, remote third latest, hood goes on, can't discount. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(15) (16/1 +0%)Moonlight Paradise |
16/1(+0%) | (15) Moonlight Paradise 16/1, Showed minor promise on hurdle debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and acts on yielding and good ground. Should improve with experience. Point winner, can improve for hurdling debut latest, dam won on heavy, interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (17/2 +0%)Doing It In Style |
17/2(+0%) | (5) Doing It In Style 17/2, Below form when finishing down the field in a mares' bumper here last time. Hard to recommend on that evidence. Remote third on debut, sole run since too bad to be true but can only watch on hurdles bow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (20/1 +0%)Mi Lucky Cailin |
20/1(+0%) | (2) Mi Lucky Cailin 20/1, Made too much use of the pace when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Wexford last time. Returning from a break and showing gradual progress but remains a maiden. 0-14 and rated 102, below best when last seen in July, others make more appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (20/1 +0%)Jumbos Jet |
20/1(+0%) | (14) Jumbos Jet 20/1, 20,000 euros Hillstar filly. Yard not known for debut winners, so best watched for future reference. Hillstar filly, dam a chase and hurdle winner, likely best watched on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (50/1 +0%)Venturevango |
50/1(+0%) | (13) Venturevango 50/1, Outpaced and well beaten on debut in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Limerick. Likely to need more time to develop. 28-1 and tailed off on debut at Limerick, others hold more pressing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (66/1 +0%)Cant Touch This |
66/1(+0%) | (3) Cant Touch This 66/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m6f at Thurles last time. Effective over 3m in points but has plenty to prove under Rules. Placed in a point, pulled up and bled both starts over hurdles, risky proposition. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (80/1 +0%)Ida Picked Her |
80/1(+0%) | (8) Ida Picked Her 80/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability and has plenty to prove. Huge odds and no show in two starts over hurdles, may need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (125/1 +0%)Elsa Bay |
125/1(+0%) | (6) Elsa Bay 125/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Sligo last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and may improve with time and distance. Point winner, well beaten over C&D last month, saddle slipped latest, heavy a query. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (125/1 +0%)Fervida |
125/1(+0%) | (7) Fervida 125/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Wexford last time. Acts on good ground and stays 2m but has plenty to prove. Jumping an issue both starts over hurdle, a clear round the priority here, unlikely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (125/1 +0%)Nothing Da Now |
125/1(+0%) | (12) Nothing Da Now 125/1, Outpaced and ran poorly when comfortably held in an auction bumper over 2m at Tipperary last time. Faces a tough task here. Hard to fancy on the back of two heavy defeats in bumpers at Galway and Tipperary. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(16) (125/1 +0%)Mudslide Molly |
125/1(+0%) | (16) Mudslide Molly 125/1, Outpaced and below form when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Cork last time. Handles soft ground but yet to show any meaningful ability. Long odds and soundly beaten in maidens at Navan and Cork, hard to make a case for. |

FLASHAWAY was well held on her return at Cork earlier in the month but she is entitled to improve for that outing and tops the shortlist. Kom Tu Voudras finished third in a Fontainebleau bumper in 2023 before pulling up at Grade 1 level on her return in April. She wore a first-time tongue-tie when third at Tramore last month, albeit well beaten, and she should not be underestimated. Katie Daniels was an eye-catcher at Clonmel and could also figure.

MOONLIGHT PARADISE's dam won on heavy and she should improve plenty for her seasonal return so she is a tentative selection

(8) (5/6 +39%)Minella Marathon |
5/6(+39%) | (8) Minella Marathon 5/6, Promising debut, showing a good attitude when a 2l winner in a maiden over 3m at Liscarroll on debut. Effective at 3m in points and acts on yielding ground. Has joined a top yard ahead of this rules debut. Joined this powerful yard for £200,000 after justifying favouritism in an Irish point. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (4/1 +60%)Korkoran |
4/1(+60%) | (2) Korkoran 4/1, Probably needed the run when a modest bumper debutant, comfortably held in a maiden bumper over 2m1f at Exeter. Has since had wind surgery. Effective at 3m in points and acts on yielding ground; better can be expected now hurdling. Bought for £240,000 after point win; had wind op since flopping in a bumper. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (5/1 +38%)Purple Owl |
5/1(+38%) | (5) Purple Owl 5/1, Promising hurdle debut, just tiring late after a break when second, beaten 12l, in a novice hurdle over 2m at Uttoxeter last time. A 3m point winner who is suited by quick ground; may want a little further than 2m under rules. The winner was much too good at Uttoxeter and this 5yo might be vulnerable again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/1 -38%)Les's Destiny Star |
9/1(-38%) | (3) Les's Destiny Star 9/1, Below form, probably needed the run when down the field in a bumper over 2m at Warwick most recently. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground. The yard won this last year and he's the type to do better over hurdles. Failed to progress in bumpers after a winning start; well related and should do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (18/1 +36%)Can You Hear Me |
18/1(+36%) | (6) Can You Hear Me 18/1, Fell in a novice hurdle over 2m at Worcester last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Capable of better if all is well following that fall. Some bumper promise; 28-1 and fell midrace on hurdling debut at Worcester. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (28/1 -100%)Laurier Des Obeaux |
28/1(-100%) | (7) Laurier Des Obeaux 28/1, Promising debut when fourth, beaten 9 1/2l, in a 4yo bumper over 2m at Huntingdon. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Brings plenty of potential now going hurdling. Shaped as though he had a future when beaten under 10l in a good-ground Huntingdon bumper. |

Point-to-point winner Minella Marathon changed hands for 200,000 pounds in April and is one to watch in the market for the Dan Skelton team. Purple Owl finished second on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter and may have a say, but CALVINO gets the nod. Paul Nicholls' charge was just touched off into second at Newton Abbot last month, shaping as if this step up in trip would be a good move, so he looks the one to beat.

In what might not be that strong a race, the eyes are drawn towards Irish point winner MINELLA MARATHON who was recruited for £200,000.

(7) (9/4 +55%)Lennie Godber |
9/4(+55%) | (7) Lennie Godber 9/4, Improved but seemed unsuited by the drop in trip and needed the run when comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last time. Effective at 2m but likely to be better over further and acts on good ground. Siblings include two winners for his yard; open to progress now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (7/2 +65%)Tigga Time |
7/2(+65%) | (2) Tigga Time 7/2, Pulled his way to the front and needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Worcester last time. Effective at 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground. Should improve plenty for that return effort. Seemed to need the run last time on stable debut and return from layoff. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/5 -80%)Keep It Cool |
18/5(-80%) | (5) Keep It Cool 18/5, Yard won this race last year. Returned to form in first-time blinkers when 8 1/4l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Navan most recently. Effective at 2m4f and acts on good ground, though others may hold stronger claims. Maiden for Shark Hanlon but ran encouragingly at Navan most recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (15/2 +46%)Ruler Legend |
15/2(+46%) | (6) Ruler Legend 15/2, Below form and too keen when comfortably held in a handicap over 2m2f at Nottingham last time. Effective over 2m over hurdles and acts on good ground. Could yet progress as a hurdler. Two attempts at Huntingdon comprise his best hurdles form; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (15/2 -25%)Prairie Queen |
15/2(-25%) | (8) Prairie Queen 15/2, Returned to form under a positive ride down in trip when beaten 2l off 74 over 2m1f at Exeter last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and suited by good or good to firm ground. Chance if repeating that latest effort. Still a maiden but ran well last time and receives lots of weight all round. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (9/1 -80%)Blue Universe |
9/1(-80%) | (1) Blue Universe 9/1, Ran to form when beaten 15l into third in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Fakenham last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and suited by decent ground. Still a maiden over hurdles but in fair form and has a good chance back in a handicap. Maiden over hurdles but has possibilities on his Worcester form in September. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (14/1 -300%)Mistral Blue |
14/1(-300%) | (4) Mistral Blue 14/1, Looked well treated on her maiden win when landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off 93 over 2m4f at Hereford last time. Effective up to 2m4f and acts on good to soft and good ground. Back from a break but has more to offer. Scored under Fern O'Brien at Hereford when last seen seven months ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (33/1 +0%)Bread And Butter |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Bread And Butter 33/1, Found little when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Worcester last time. Usually held up in his races. Effective at 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground, but is an unreliable type. C&D success off 10lb higher last December; has weak claims on 2025 form. |

Mistral Blue went in by over two lengths at Hereford in April and, if ready to go on her return, she ought to go close. However, PRAIRIE QUEEN finished third over an extended 2m at Exeter last time and may appreciate this step back up in trip. Off an unchanged mark and with Ciaran O'Shea claiming a handy 5lb in the plate, she looks the way to go. Blue Universe isn't ruled out either.

The suggestion is handicap debutant LENNIE GODBER, ahead of ex-Irish Keep It Cool.

(8) (1/5 +68%)Race To Base |
1/5(+68%) | (8) Race To Base 1/5, Ran to the level of his bumper form on hurdle debut when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. In good form before that, effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Form of that run has been franked and improvement is expected. Irish point/bumper winner; fifth on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter last month.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (10/3 -21%)Beggar's Nap |
10/3(-21%) | (1) Beggar's Nap 10/3, Ran promisingly when second beaten 4 1/2l in a four-year-old bumper at Southwell on his only start. Wears a hood for the first time and looks to have an outside chance. Made a promising start to his career when second in a bumper at Southwell in May.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (10/1 -33%)Lord Cauvelliere |
10/1(-33%) | (7) Lord Cauvelliere 10/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced when needing the run on hurdle debut, comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Ludlow last time. In good form prior; effective at 2m and suited by quick ground. Bumper and point winner who needs to show more over hurdles. Last of five finishers on hurdles debut at Ludlow last month but should improve.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (14/1 -17%)Hey Buddy |
14/1(-17%) | (5) Hey Buddy 14/1, Outpaced and never threatened when down the field in a novice hurdle at Worcester last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Bumper form has been franked but must leave hurdle debut effort behind. Tailed off at 28-1 on his hurdle debut at Worcester last month.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (22/1 -83%)Get In Order |
22/1(-83%) | (3) Get In Order 22/1, Green and never put into the race when well beaten in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter on debut. Acts on good ground and looks one for handicaps in due course. 22-1, weakened on run-in when fifth of eight on rules debut at Uttoxeter last month.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (28/1 -75%)Idaho Bridge |
28/1(-75%) | (6) Idaho Bridge 28/1, Ran to the level of his bumper form when down the field in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time. Effective at 2m and acts on heavy and good ground but may need more time over hurdles. Led but weakened quickly once headed at Stratford 12 days ago.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (150/1 -127%)Guardami Ancora |
150/1(-127%) | (4) Guardami Ancora 150/1, Yard won this race last year. Outpaced and poor debut when well beaten in a novice hurdle at Stratford on only start. Has plenty to prove. Didn't jump with fluency when well held on hurdles debut at Stratford 12 days ago.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (200/1 -100%)El Arco |
200/1(-100%) | (2) El Arco 200/1, Outpaced and never threatened when finishing down the field in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time. Yet to show much and may require further than 2m in time. Beaten a long way on both hurdles starts at gigantic odds.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (300/1 -100%)Skittles Be Lucky |
300/1(-100%) | (9) Skittles Be Lucky 300/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle at Worcester last time and has it all to prove. Showed little when pulled up on hurdles debut at Worcester last month.. |

Point-to-point/bumper winner RACE TO BASE lost two places after the last to finish fifth on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter and would have learned a great deal from that experience. With Sam Twiston-Davies back on board, he looks the one to beat. Beggar's Nap only found one too good in a Southwell bumper in May and has to be respected in a first-time hood. Of the rest, Lord Cauvelliere makes the most appeal.

All of these have questions to answer to some extent but the best option is RACE TO BASE. Second choice is Lord Cauvelliere.

(4) (3/1 +0%)Cullig |
3/1(+0%) | (4) Cullig 3/1, Needed the run and was not given a hard time when fourth beaten 17l in a 2m7f handicap hurdle at Tipperary latest; usually held up; effective at 3m and acts on soft and good ground; should progress from that reappearance. Progressed well in the spring, below best last twice, not sure this testing ground suits. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (4/1 +0%)Billy Lee Swagger |
4/1(+0%) | (1) Billy Lee Swagger 4/1, Below form when stepped back up in trip, finishing down the field in a 3m handicap hurdle at Galway last time; usually held up; returning from a break and remains progressive. Below best at Galway but capable of better, has gone well fresh, ground fine, chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (10/1 +0%)Gather Yourself |
10/1(+0%) | (8) Gather Yourself 10/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Sligo last time; effective around 2m6f but inconsistent and yet to prove capable off this mark. 0-7 over hurdles, trip too sharp in a bumper latest, could go well if handles ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (12/1 +0%)Sphagnum |
12/1(+0%) | (5) Sphagnum 12/1, Another below-par hurdles effort when down the field in a 3m2f handicap hurdle at Sligo last time; returns from a short break; better over fences. Lost way since 2024 Cork National win, unable to exploit far lower hurdles mark last twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (14/1 +0%)Plain Or Battered |
14/1(+0%) | (7) Plain Or Battered 14/1, Had no clear run and finished below form when down the field in a 3m handicap hurdle at Cork last time; in fair form previously and looks a value selection based on overall form. Remains 4lb above May 2024 Wexford win, lacks a recent run, others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (17/2 +0%)The Miracle Man |
17/2(+0%) | (2) The Miracle Man 17/2, Raced close to a strong pace which collapsed and needed the run when down the field in a 2m6f handicap hurdle at Galway most recently; had been in good form before; effective 2 1/2-3m, acts on yielding and good ground. C&D winner in April (gd-yld), strip fitter for Galway comeback, testing ground a worry. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (5/2 +38%)Rocky's Howya |
5/2(+38%) | (6) Rocky's Howya 5/2, Unseated rider in a 3m novice event at Castletown-Geoghegan last time; on a good mark on chase form and remains a threat if completing cleanly. Prolific in points, 0-21 under Rules, unseated in point latest, market best guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/2 -29%)Paddy's Milestone |
9/2(-29%) | (3) Paddy's Milestone 9/2, Well treated on maiden form, ran to form when appreciating the step back up in trip, well backed to land a 3m Down Royal handicap by 1 1/4l off 99 last time; trainer in form; returning from a long layoff; can improve further. Up 6lb for Down Royal win last Nov', off since, this tougher and heavy ground a query. |

The prolific winning pointer, ROCKY'S HOWYA reverts to hurdling and can score from his 102 rating given how strong his hunter chase form has been in the past. Course-and-distance victor The Miracle Man and Cullig are each capable stayers who should both improve for recent returns. Billy Lee Swagger has been lightly raced this year but can get involved if he returns to the form of his fourth at the Punchestown festival.

BILLY LEE SWAGGER can bounce back from a below par run at Galway in these calmer waters. Gather Yourself may be the main danger

Likely improver back up in trip. 3m1f winner over hurdles; stuck to his guns on recent chase debut over 2m5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (7/2 +46%)Express Surprise |
7/2(+46%) | (3) Express Surprise 7/2, Made mistakes but ran to form when 20l third in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee on his most recent start; effective at 3m and acts on soft or good ground. Better than the bare result and may contend. Impressed on chase debut; jumping let him down afterwards; retains potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (4/1 +0%)King Of Thieves |
4/1(+0%) | (6) King Of Thieves 4/1, Again ran only to a moderate level when comfortably held in a 2m2f maiden hurdle at Fontwell last time; effective at 3m in points and acts on heavy ground. Type to improve now switching to chasing. Check the betting now sent over fences for handicap debut with Harry Cobden booked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (4/1 +33%)The Big Reveal |
4/1(+33%) | (9) The Big Reveal 4/1, Well backed and ran to form when fourth, beaten 13l, in a handicap chase at Ffos Las last time; effective around 3m and acts on heavy or soft ground. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (17/2 +15%)Grand Sabre |
17/2(+15%) | (8) Grand Sabre 17/2, Below form and made mistakes when comfortably held in a 3m2f handicap chase at Fontwell last time; effective at 3m and acts on good ground. Should come on for that return effort. Poor in runs on either side of his surprise win at Warwick; other options look safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (10/1 +60%)Steal The Moves |
10/1(+60%) | (7) Steal The Moves 10/1, Below form when pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow last time; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft ground. May do better over fences but has plenty to prove on return. No impact in maiden hurdles and goes chasing/handicapping with much to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (11/1 -10%)Damekap |
11/1(-10%) | (10) Damekap 11/1, Made a promising chase debut on return when 6l third in a handicap chase at Fakenham last time; effective up to 3m and acts on heavy or good ground. Further progress likely. 6l third of five on chase debut at Fakenham when 10lb out of the weights; 8lb wrong here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (16/1 -14%)Weseekherthere |
16/1(-14%) | (2) Weseekherthere 16/1, Found her mark stiff and was comfortably held in a 3m2f handicap hurdle at Fontwell last time; effective around 2m4f and acts on good ground. Absent for a long spell but has potential as a chaser. Potentially on a good mark and returns for chase debut with yard going well. |

King Of Thieves hasn't shown a great deal over the smaller obstacles, but is of interest on his handicap/chase debut with Harry Cobden keeping the ride. However, I'M YOUR BUCKAROO was beaten four lengths into third on his first outing over fences at Fontwell and is likely to improve on that display. The five-year-old competes off the same rating and looks the one to side with. Of the remainder, Express Surprise makes the most appeal.

Harry Cobden is 4-16 for Evan Williams and his presence heightens interest in handicap/chase newcomer KING OF THIEVES.

5/2(+29%) | (2) Amelia's Star 5/2, Still green under pressure but showed improvement when well beaten in the Nickel Coin Mares' NH Flat Race (Grade 2) over 2m1f at Aintree last time; in good form prior; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft; respected on hurdles debut. Seemed to run well on the figures in Aintree Grade 2 bumper when last seen. |

(4) (9/2 -29%)Blue Betty |
9/2(-29%) | (4) Blue Betty 9/2, Yard has won the last two runnings of this race; ran below form up in grade and finished lame when down the field in the Nickel Coin Mares' NH Flat Race (Grade 2) over 2m1f at Aintree last time; had a wind operation and is the type to do well over hurdles. Stylish win at Newcastle then finished lame in Grade 2 bumper; retains potential. |

(6) (16/1 +27%)Eastern Shores |
16/1(+27%) | (6) Eastern Shores 16/1, From a yard that has won the last two renewals of this race; needed the run on hurdles debut after a wind operation when comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time; a point winner who showed promise in 2m bumpers on good ground and should improve over hurdles. Irish point winner; regressive form under rules. |

(5) (18/1 -80%)Caterpillar Girl |
18/1(-80%) | (5) Caterpillar Girl 18/1, Needed the run on her hurdles debut when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Worcester last time; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; the form of her bumper win has been franked and she could leave her debut effort behind. Won bumper then modest fifth over hurdles; may yet show progress. |

50/1(-79%) | (7) Karlita Desbois 50/1, Ran below form when well beaten in a mares' bumper over 2m1f at Market Rasen last time; should prove effective at 2m over hurdles but needs to show more. Not particularly convincing on bumper form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (80/1 -186%)Barafundle Bay |
80/1(-186%) | (3) Barafundle Bay 80/1, Built on her recent return when fourth, beaten 6l in a handicap at Southwell last time; should handle 2m over hurdles but looks up against it in this company. Modest Flat winner; brings limited potential to this code. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (200/1 +0%)Secret Pass |
200/1(+0%) | (8) Secret Pass 200/1, Again failed to reproduce her bumper form when down the field in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time; effective at 2m in bumpers but unlikely to make an impact until contesting lower-grade handicaps. Brings the worst form. |

LADY TADITA made a strong impression when accounting for her nearest rival by eight lengths on her hurdling bow at Market Rasen in September. Jamie Snowden's filly now has a penalty to contend with but that is unlikely to prevent her from following up. Blue Betty failed to fire in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree when last seen, but this is a lot easier and she has to be considered tackling hurdles for the first time. Caterpillar Girl is the pick of the remainder.

Promising LADY TADITA is taken to maintain her unbeaten record. Amelia's Star and Blue Betty may prove the biggest dangers.

Promising second of six on stable/hurdles debut at Ludlow last month.. |

7/1(-17%) | (1) Africa Charm 7/1, Did it readily with a promising hurdle debut when winning a juvenile hurdle at Stratford by 1 1/2l last time; effective at 2m on good ground, though the form of that debut win looks modest. 28-1 winner on her hurdling debut at Stratford last month; carries 7lb penalty.. |

(3) (33/1 -83%)Emily Rebecca |
33/1(-83%) | (3) Emily Rebecca 33/1, Had no obvious excuse when comfortably held in a 12f handicap at Brighton last time; wears cheekpieces for the first time and needs to find plenty more. Won twice for Richard Hannon on the Flat over 1m4f in July; hurdles debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (150/1 -275%)Praying For Time |
150/1(-275%) | (7) Praying For Time 150/1, Stopped quickly and finished down the field in a 1m6f handicap at Salisbury most recently; returns from a short break and is hard to recommend on current form. Looked low-level Flat maiden (five races at 1m2f-1m6f); has it all to do on hurdles debut.. |

AFRICA CHARM made her way through the field to spring a 28/1 surprise at Stratford last month and could take a step forward from that effort. This is just her second start for the Henry Oliver stable and she could defy her penalty to complete a double. Only One Blue struck at the first time of asking in this sphere at Sedgefield and holds an obvious chance, while newcomer Ghost Dancing warrants a market check.

This looks to be a good opportunity for LOVE SONNET to go one better after finishing second last time. Ghost Dancing is next best.

(7) (8/1 +0%)The Enabler |
8/1(+0%) | (7) The Enabler 8/1, Yard has won three of the last seven renewals of this race. Ran to form when comfortably held in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Cork last time but has a bit to find. Rated 128 over hurdles, out of form when last seen, probably best watched on chase bow. |

(6) (50/1 +0%)So They Tell Me |
50/1(+0%) | (6) So They Tell Me 50/1, Below form when comfortably held in a 3m handicap hurdle at Gowran Park last time. Returning from a long layoff and hard to recommend. 1-8 over hurdles and rated 112, dam won over fences, this looks a tough task on chase bow. |

(10) (66/1 +0%)Fairyland Opera |
66/1(+0%) | (10) Fairyland Opera 66/1, Too keen returning from a break and needed the run when well beaten in a beginners' chase over 2m1f here last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and can improve for that initial experience if settling better. Rated 113 over timber, beaten 18l on chase debut, punching above her weight here. |

SANDOR CLEGANE can put his experience and race-fitness to good use. Grade 1-placed over hurdles, he finished only 10 lengths fourth behind Fact To File in Cheltenham's 2024 Brown Advisory and, while winless in seven chases, he is better suited than many of these to this intermediate distance. Karl Des Tourelles is rated 140 over hurdles and, while he ran well on his latest start at Punchestown in May, he debuts over fences and seems slightly better over three miles. Flicker Of Hope has the benefit of a recent run and is also noted.

If NOW IS THE HOUR is ready on his return from 204 days off he has the form in the book to win this

(5) (3/1 +40%)Spike Jones |
3/1(+40%) | (5) Spike Jones 3/1, Won this race last year and ran to form when beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Windsor last time. Effective from 2m6f to 3m2f, acts on heavy and good ground, goes well fresh and likely to put up a bold show. Returned from longer absence to win a four-runner renewal of this 12 months ago; good mark. |

(2) (4/1 +27%)Git Maker |
4/1(+27%) | (2) Git Maker 4/1, Below form when finishing lame and down the field in the Kim Muir over 3m2f at Cheltenham most recently. Stays well, acts on soft and good to soft ground, cheekpieces off this time and could need it back hurdling. Better known as a staying chaser these days but respected off his lower hurdle mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (8/1 -100%)Whizz Kid |
8/1(-100%) | (6) Whizz Kid 8/1, Ran to recent modest level when fourth, beaten 5l in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Newcastle latest. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good to soft and good ground. Happier back hurdling but stamina remains to be proven. Could be outstayed by some of these over this far, especially should the ground soften up. |

(1) (17/2 +6%)Saint Palais |
17/2(+6%) | (1) Saint Palais 17/2, Below form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on heavy and good to soft ground. Better over fences and may need this outing. Once a smart chaser; remains capable over hurdles, as he showed last season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (12/1 -50%)Kruger Park |
12/1(-50%) | (4) Kruger Park 12/1, Disappointed back up in trip when pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m2f at Newton Abbot last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on heavy and good to soft ground. Had a wind operation but remains a fair bit above last winning mark. Last season ended disappointingly but he has undergone another wind operation. |

IKARAK occupied the runner-up berth at Warwick in April and returns off a 1lb lower rating. The son of Karaktar goes well fresh and it would be no surprise to see him put these to the sword. Spike Jones was successful in this contest last year off a 1lb higher mark and needs to be taken seriously for the Samuel Drinkwater stable. Whizz Kid is handicapped to win soon and also has a chance.

The 8yo SPIKE JONES (nap) won this last year after a longer absence and he held his own in a stronger Class 2 handicap when last seen.

(6) (5/1 +38%)Goodbyemick |
5/1(+38%) | (6) Goodbyemick 5/1, Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 8l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Warwick last time wearing a first-time visor. Effective between 2m and 2m4f, acts on good and good to firm ground, and could do better back over fences. This belated return to fences is worth exploring; 0-22 overall, though. |

15/2(+25%) | (1) Catchim 15/2, Outpaced and again below best when 23l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Fakenham last time. Effective at 2m4f and acts on good ground but remains inconsistent. Favourably treated on best chase effort and this is a drop in class. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (33/1 +0%)Annie Don |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Annie Don 33/1, Well below form and found little when down the field in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Worcester last time. Effective at 2m4f and acts on good ground but hard to fancy. Has weak claims on form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (100/1 -52%)Raindance Queen |
100/1(-52%) | (9) Raindance Queen 100/1, Never travelled when pulled up in a handicap chase at Worcester last time. Effective around 2m4f, acts on good ground, and may prefer further. Inconsistent maiden; well out of the weights. |

In a moderate event, marginal preference is for GOODBYEMICK, who has been running well enough in defeat of late over hurdles to suggest that he can go well in a race of this nature. Rip Wheeler would be a big threat based on his narrow second over timber here in April if he's ready to go after a break, while Crac De Megaudais is the pick of the remainder.

Provided he doesn't idle this time, chase debutant RIP WHEELER could well open his rules account. Crac De Megaudais is second pick.

9/2(-29%) | (3) Followango 9/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 5½l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m6f at Stratford last time; not fully exposed over fences; may be in contention again. Made a pleasing start to the campaign when second over hurdles at Stratford 12 days ago.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (80/1 -100%)Emberscombe |
80/1(-100%) | (5) Emberscombe 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Worcester last time when returning from a break; point winner is difficult to recommend on rules form. Point winner but was pulled up on her return to regulation fences at Worcester in June.. |

Kit's Coty clearly benefitted from a wind operation when making a winning return to action at Ludlow last month and needs considering. Kosasiempre lurks on an appealing mark and is noted, but FOLLOWANGO gets the vote. Evan Williams' seven-year-old wasn't disgraced in fourth over 2m at Ffos Las two starts ago and may have lots more to offer on just her third chase start. This step up in distance could unlock the improvement required to strike.

This looks to be a good opportunity for KIT'S COTY (nap) to follow up her win at Ludlow last month. Followango is second choice.

(5) (17/2 +0%)Duffys Getaway |
17/2(+0%) | (5) Duffys Getaway 17/2, Made mistakes and ran below form when down the field in a 2m5f handicap chase here last time. Returning from a long layoff and may prefer more testing conditions. Weak form in four chase starts, jumped badly at this venue in February, absent since. |

(1) (10/3 -11%)Where's Frankie |
10/3(-11%) | (1) Where's Frankie 10/3, Below form and on a stiff mark when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m1f here last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time and has shown progressive tendencies. Four of his five wins gained at this venue, a revival in form is not out of the question. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (4/1 -14%)Baldur's Gate |
4/1(-14%) | (3) Baldur's Gate 4/1, Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when down the field in a 2m7f handicap chase at Galway most recently. Best at 3m with cut in the ground and could build on that reappearance up in trip. 1-17 record over fences is a concern, placed eight times, should be sharper for Galway run. |

WHERE'S FRANKIE has won four times at this track and it is hoped he can return to form on reappearance. A dour stayer, he was lightly raced last season but his rating has since fallen and he's fancied under a 3lb claimer. Baldur's Gate finished second to the selection here in January 2024 and, now better off at the weights, he needs to show more than on his recent Galway reappearance. Kilashee has a light weight and is noted too.

(8) (11/4 +31%)Harry Junior |
11/4(+31%) | (8) Harry Junior 11/4, A bit too free but improved up in trip on handicap debut when second, beaten 6 1/2l, in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Worcester latest. Effective 2m4f, acts on good ground; has a chance if settling better. Stable going well and his recent second on handicap debut (2m4f) was a step forward. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (10/3 +33%)Golden Ambition |
10/3(+33%) | (1) Golden Ambition 10/3, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/4l off a mark of 106 over 3m at Uttoxeter last time, making use of a fitness edge. Trainer in form; effective 2m4f-2m7f, acts on good to soft and good ground; won this last year. Last year's winner off 3lb lower; subsequent chase runs mostly respectable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (9/2 +25%)Inspector Lynley |
9/2(+25%) | (10) Inspector Lynley 9/2, Ran to recent level when 7l third in a 2m6f handicap hurdle at Stratford on latest start. Effective 2m6f-3m, acts on good ground; can be competitive off this mark. He made heavy weather of finishing third at Stratford last time (2m6f, good). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (6/1 +25%)Jolie Baie |
6/1(+25%) | (2) Jolie Baie 6/1, Made mistakes when beaten 4l off 102 over 3m1f at Wincanton last time and has since had wind surgery. Effective 2m4f-3m, acts on soft and good ground; capable of better after the wind tweak. Strong stayer who was in good form last season and seemingly progressive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (15/2 -7%)Endersen |
15/2(-7%) | (9) Endersen 15/2, Confirmed recent improvement when beaten 3/4l off 77 over 2m6f at Fontwell last time. Effective 2m6f-3m2f, acts on good to soft and good ground; considered on that recent form. Bang there in 3m2f/2m5f handicaps at Fontwell on last two runs so entitled to be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (11/1 -38%)My Cullen |
11/1(-38%) | (5) My Cullen 11/1, Ran to form, just flattening out late back from a break when comfortably held in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Worcester last time. Effective at 2m4f, acts on good ground; respected over this longer trip. Mildly progressive by the looks but there are stamina queries over this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (12/1 0%)Max's Champ |
12/1(0%) | (6) Max's Champ 12/1, Had every chance but ran below form off a revised mark when 23l third in a handicap hurdle at Hexham last time. Effective up to 3m, acts on good ground; needs to find a bit more off this mark. Won well at Uttoxeter in May (2m7f, good) but that was a bit out of the blue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (14/1 -100%)Pipers Cross |
14/1(-100%) | (3) Pipers Cross 14/1, Ran to form when 4l third in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Southwell on most recent run. Effective 3m-3m2f, acts on soft and good ground; has a chance if reproducing latest effort. A consistent mare who goes well for Cameron Johnstone-Baker and is hard to dismiss. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (16/1 +0%)Getuptheyard |
16/1(+0%) | (7) Getuptheyard 16/1, Held when falling in a 3m handicap chase at Huntingdon last time. Effective 2m3f-3m, acts on good ground; a frustrating type now reverting to hurdles. Three seconds over hurdles and he'll be happy to see the back of fences after two falls. |

HARRY JUNIOR put in a career best when filling second place on his handicap debut over 2m4f at Worcester last month and this step up in trip could help David Pipe's gelding to go one better. Endersen also hit the crossbar on his most recent outing and he could prove to be the main threat, ahead of Jolie Baie and Golden Ambition.

Last year's winner GOLDEN AMBITION is weighted to go well again and he hasn't been performing at all badly over fences.

(3) (15/8 +0%)Forget The Way |
15/8(+0%) | (3) Forget The Way 15/8, Below form when second, beaten 6l in a claiming hurdle here last time; suited by 2m and handles good ground; needs to bounce back. Not disgraced last time in C&D claimer that he'd won 12 months earlier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (2/1 +27%)Enthused |
2/1(+27%) | (1) Enthused 2/1, Ran below form when finishing down the field in a 12f handicap at Southwell last time. Effective at 2m over hurdles and handles good or good to soft ground. Should be competitive off this mark back hurdling. Has won over C&D but returns here with a doubt over current form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (5/2 -43%)Dickens |
5/2(-43%) | (2) Dickens 5/2, Ran to form when second, outstayed after dropping in grade in a selling hurdle at Stratford last time; wears a tongue-tie for the first time; effective from 2m to 2m6f on decent ground and the drop back to 2m looks a positive. Record of 11311222 for current yard; tongue-tie replaces usual hood. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (15/2 +25%)Harel Du Marais |
15/2(+25%) | (4) Harel Du Marais 15/2, Below form when sixth, beaten 23l off 109 here last time. Effective at 2m on good ground; this is his first hurdles run since spring 2024 and others look stronger. Fighting chance on best hurdles form but is 0-13 in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (25/1 -150%)Fascinating Lips |
25/1(-150%) | (5) Fascinating Lips 25/1, Ran well below form when fourth, beaten 41l in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. Effective at 2m on good ground, drops in the weights, and remains unexposed as a hurdler. Has regressed in two starts since belated returned to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (80/1 +20%)Mi Sueno |
80/1(+20%) | (6) Mi Sueno 80/1, Made mistakes and needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time. Effective at 2m but looks up against it. Poor chance on recent form; stone out of weights. |

ENTHUSED was a respectable sixth in the Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen on his penultimate start over timber and he is likely to play a big role now switched to a selling handicap. Dickens has filled second place in all three starts since securing a double in a similar race to this at Newton Abbot in September and he has to be noted. Others to consider are Forget The Way and Fascinating Lips.

Judged on recent form and other factors, FORGET THE WAY and Dickens hold the strongest claims.

(3) (7/5 +77%)Noble Park |
7/5(+77%) | (3) Noble Park 7/5, Below form when stepped up in grade and finished down the field in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Punchestown most recently; good mark on hurdle form and likely has more to offer over fences. Ran some respectable races in defeat and has to be taken seriously on chasing debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (7/2 -17%)Jackpot Cash |
7/2(-17%) | (2) Jackpot Cash 7/2, Disappointing on hurdles return when comfortably held in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; well treated on his hurdle form but may be on a stiff mark after beating little in the spring. Has won two over fences and two over hurdles since joining his current yard in January.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (11/2 +31%)Imac Wood |
11/2(+31%) | (4) Imac Wood 11/2, Outpaced but ran to form when beaten 5l in a 2m4f handicap chase at Uttoxeter last time; returns from a break and may be worth trying over 3m. Two of his six wins over fences have been over C&D but needs to step up.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (6/1 -118%)Delpotro |
6/1(-118%) | (1) Delpotro 6/1, Scored by 3l off a mark of 104 over 2m3f at Sedgefield on his penultimate start; ran to form when second, possibly going too freely in front, beaten 5l off 109 last time; handles varied ground and may still be well handicapped on French form. Goes well forcing the pace and made all at Sedgefield in May and September.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (10/1 +38%)The Magus |
10/1(+38%) | (6) The Magus 10/1, Needed the run when down the field in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time; had been in good form beforehand and looks open to marked improvement. Makes chasing debut after pipe-opener over hurdles last month.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (16/1 -14%)Mahler Moon |
16/1(-14%) | (7) Mahler Moon 16/1, Pulled up in a 3m handicap hurdle at Chepstow on his latest start; in good form prior and not without a chance if back to his best. Pulled up over hurdles on return to action at Chepstow last month; makes return to fences.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (16/1 -220%)Mix Of Clover |
16/1(-220%) | (5) Mix Of Clover 16/1, Returned to form when winning a Stratford handicap by 4l off 102 last time; trainer in form; effective between 2m and 2½m on good ground and remains well treated on past efforts. Returned to winning ways back over fences at Stratford last month.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (40/1 -100%)Dark Soldier |
40/1(-100%) | (9) Dark Soldier 40/1, Raced prominently and improved but was comfortably held in a 2m novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; returns from a long absence and has something to find. Second in a point but low-level form over hurdles; chase and handicap debut.. |

MIX OF CLOVER appeared to have plenty in hand when winning over 2m5f at Stratford last month and the veteran merits the utmost respect off a 4lb higher mark. Delpotro only found one too good at Sedgefield last time, having won at the same venue previously, and he is likely to be in the mix once again, while Noble Park is next best.

The opposition will need to keep tabs on the free-running Delpotro but JACKPOT CASH is worth another chance.

Stand-out effort was at Down Royal last December on track debut, has a run under his belt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (4/1 +0%)Bold Fury |
4/1(+0%) | (5) Bold Fury 4/1, Ran to chase form on hurdle debut when second, beaten 2l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Roscommon last time. Trainer in form and, off a short break, could be involved. Two wins in points, placed in hunter chases including third to Kings Jet at Down Royal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (8/1 +0%)Fountain House |
8/1(+0%) | (2) Fountain House 8/1, Made mistakes but likes the track. Ran to form when winning a hunter chase at Punchestown over 2m4f by 3 1/4l last time; further improvement required. Enjoyed a flawless campaign in points last term and confirmed a high standard on the track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (11/1 +0%)West Of Carrig |
11/1(+0%) | (8) West Of Carrig 11/1, Went clear and was beaten after jockey dropped hands late, having made too much use of himself when 3 1/4l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Limerick last time; holds an outside chance. Five wins in points, placed in four of his 15 races on the track, needs to find extra. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (13/2 +0%)Kings Jet |
13/2(+0%) | (4) Kings Jet 13/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 6 1/2l, in a conditions race at Portrush last time; has a bit to find on that evidence. Won at Down Royal in May before a flop at Stratford, has started the new campaign brightly. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (14/1 +0%)Yewtree Hill |
14/1(+0%) | (9) Yewtree Hill 14/1, Ran to form when winning a conditions race at Castletown-Geoghegan by 8l last time. Stays 3m well and may improve further. 96-rated chaser, recorded his third point win last time, others have stronger credentials. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (20/1 +0%)Cadoudal Saint |
20/1(+0%) | (6) Cadoudal Saint 20/1, Improved again when winning a conditions race at Loughanmore by 1/2l last time; still has a bit to find against stronger opposition. Three wins in points, tends to make the odd mistake; could be vulnerable over these fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (20/1 +0%)Made U Look |
20/1(+0%) | (7) Made U Look 20/1, Below form when well beaten in a hunter chase at Tipperary last time; faces a tough task here and has plenty to prove. Point winner, moderate seventh in his first hunter chase, tailed off on second attempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (3/1 0%)Con's Roc |
3/1(0%) | (3) Con's Roc 3/1, Ran to form when second, beaten 3/4l, in a conditions race at Cragmore last time. Returning from a long layoff and considered the speed and form selection. Odds-on loser in January after a fine Limerick win, remains an interesting prospect. |

This ground is expected to be very testing and it should suit CON'S ROC well. He hacked up in two heavy-ground point-to-points last year and was then a ready winner of a maiden hunters' chase at Limerick over Christmas. The eight-year-old was last seen keeping a useful winner of a Cragmore point-to-point honest in second in January. Big Interest carries a good reputation and was a decisive victor at Fairyhouse over Easter. That triumph was on soft ground, but he may not want it deeper than that. Fountain House is unbeaten in his last four starts and took a step up in class in the Bishopscourt Cup at the Punchestown Festival in his stride in May. Bold Fury is one that could outrun his odds.

Seeing that BIG INTEREST went off third-favourite for the hunter chase championship at Punchestown, he may prove equal to this task

9/4(+44%) | (6) Dangerous Touch 9/4, Ran to form when 5 1/4l third in a Sandown handicap hurdle last time, trip too short; effective at 2m4f, prefers further, acts on soft; should make a better chaser. In-form hurdler when last seen; should have plenty of scope for progress over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (10/3 +26%)Followcato |
10/3(+26%) | (5) Followcato 10/3, Ran to form when 3 1/4l third in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las most recently; trainer in good form; effective around 2m4f, acts on soft and good; could be involved on chase debut. Some fair hurdle form; runner-up in his only point and could be one to follow over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (9/2 +36%)Kalif D'airy |
9/2(+36%) | (8) Kalif D'airy 9/2, Travelled well but a bit below form when second, beaten 1/2l in a 2m2f maiden hurdle at Fontwell last time; effective from 2m2f to 2m4f, acts on heavy and good; improvement likely on chase debut. Pretty consistent over hurdles; on a realistic mark and should make a chaser. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (6/1 -80%)Captain Boudet |
6/1(-80%) | (7) Captain Boudet 6/1, Suited by the ground and wore first-time blinkers when winning a 2m3f handicap at Exeter by 2l off 104 last time; effective around 2m4f, acts on soft and good; could have more to offer though cheekpieces replace blinkers. 2-3 over fences and the defeat came on heavy ground (the wins on soft and good). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (15/2 +0%)Aviation |
15/2(+0%) | (4) Aviation 15/2, Returned to form down in grade when second, beaten 1/4l in a 2m5f novice hurdle at Warwick last time; had a wind operation and wears first-time cheekpieces; effective around 2m4f, acts on good; potential threat on chasing debut. More consistent than progressive over hurdles but this mark seems okay for chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (17/2 -31%)Silver Thorn |
17/2(-31%) | (2) Silver Thorn 17/2, Soon struggling when pulled up in the Betfair NH Novice Handicap Hurdle Final at Sandown last time; effective at 2m4f and 2m6f, acts on heavy and good to soft; had a wind operation before this chase debut. Won first time back last season and he's an interesting chase debutant. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (11/1 +8%)Batwomen |
11/1(+8%) | (3) Batwomen 11/1, A bit below form when 21l third in a 2m2f handicap hurdle at Fontwell, trip too short and probably needed the run; effective from 2m3f to 2m5f, acts on good to soft and good; placed in a point-to-point and brings potential to fences. Her comeback at Fontwell was rather underwhelming; now switched to fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (25/1 -108%)Gold In The Rivers |
25/1(-108%) | (1) Gold In The Rivers 25/1, Below form in first-time cheekpieces when fourth, beaten 17l in a 3m handicap hurdle at Newbury last time; effective from 2m3f to 3m, acts on heavy and good to soft; has a bit to find on this chase debut. Won maiden hurdle for Gordon Elliott; not at that level for current yard; chase debut. |

Despite being a well-held third, the run that BATWOMEN had over hurdles at Fontwell last month could prove to be vital and she is on workable mark if taking to fences. Captain Boudet ended his last campaign with two wins from three starts and he has to be respected on his return, while Dangerous Touch and Followcato are others to note.

All except Captain Boudet are making their chase debuts. FOLLOWCATO looks ripe to be a better chaser than hurdler.

Enjoys making the running, effective at 2m and suited by quick ground, remaining well treated on previous form. Scored at Ludlow last time, taking record over hurdles to 4-10; respected. |

(4) (11/4 +17%)Charging Thunder |
11/4(+17%) | (4) Charging Thunder 11/4, Too free and failed to find much up the hill when down the field in a Cheltenham handicap hurdle last time. Effective from 2m to 2m3f on a sound surface; a consistent dual-purpose performer unexposed in handicap hurdles. 2-4 over hurdles; drops back in class; still attractively treated based on Flat form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (4/1 +11%)Diesel Line |
4/1(+11%) | (8) Diesel Line 4/1, Travelled well and improved again when third, beaten 3l off 98 at Uttoxeter last time. Progressive at 2m on a sound surface and warrants consideration. Record of 21413, mostly at Uttoxeter, for new stable; first visit to Huntingdon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (9/2 +10%)He's A Latchico |
9/2(+10%) | (7) He's A Latchico 9/2, Outpaced and had a lot to do when beaten 5l back on the Flat over 10f at Windsor last time. Effective up to 2m2f over hurdles and best on a sound surface; could have more to offer as a hurdler. Last hurdles appearance enhanced his good record at Fontwell. |

(6) (13/2 +28%)Fourtowns |
13/2(+28%) | (6) Fourtowns 13/2, Ran to form when third, beaten 6 1/4l off 109 last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good ground; generally consistent. Solid chance in current form, albeit record of 1-17 reflects his limitations. |

(5) (20/1 -186%)Caelan |
20/1(-186%) | (5) Caelan 20/1, Still green and made mistakes but ran to form when beaten 7 1/2l in a Wetherby handicap hurdle last time. Effective at 2m on good ground and progressing over hurdles since a hood was applied. Lacked fluency last time but is still unexposed under this code and not written off. |

(2) (33/1 -136%)Castel Gandolfo |
33/1(-136%) | (2) Castel Gandolfo 33/1, A bit too free when finishing down the field in a 2m1f handicap hurdle at Market Rasen last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground, ideally needs a pace collapse and looks on a fair mark. Gained most recent success in June; not in the same form since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (40/1 -150%)Belvedere Blast |
40/1(-150%) | (3) Belvedere Blast 40/1, Won by 3/4l off 112 over 2m7f at Market Rasen three starts ago. Below form last time when not getting home back up in trip but effective up to 2m7f and acts on good to soft and good ground; could bounce back dropped in distance. Last two wins over 2m7f; opposed back down sharply in trip. |

KINGSTON SUNFLOWER was an impressive six-length winner on her return to hurdling at Ludlow a month ago and Fergal O'Brien's mare is hard to oppose on the back of that effort, despite a 7lb rise. Diesel Line placed at Uttoxeter most recently after winning at the same venue in September and he is an obvious danger, while He's A Latchico and Charging Thunder should not be underestimated.

Back down in grade, CHARGING THUNDER (nap) may well be the answer. Caelan is second choice.

10/3(+0%) | (1) Lunar Power 10/3, Ran to form when benefitting from a positive ride at a sharp track, finishing second beaten 11l in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Kempton last time. Effective from 2m to 2m6f and well treated if able to build on that recent revival. First run over hurdles for his current trainer when second of six at Kempton last month.. |

15/2(+32%) | (4) Man Of The Sea 15/2, Won by 3/4l off 55 over 1m5f at Bath three starts ago but disappointed on hurdles return, finishing sixth beaten 20l off 100 last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and suited by quick ground; in form in both codes this year until latest and remains on a fair mark. Well held on his return to hurdles when last of six finishers at Stratford last month.. |

12/1(0%) | (6) Izzy's Grey 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Inconsistent since returning from lay off. 0-11 and was pulled up on his last two runs in May; has had wind surgery since.. |

(2) (28/1 -250%)Woodythewoodpecker |
28/1(-250%) | (2) Woodythewoodpecker 28/1, Outpaced and below form but saw out the trip when third beaten 22l in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time. Prefers easier ground. 0-6 but lightly raced and makes handicap debut following six-month break.. |

Of Course You Can has to be noted after her Ludlow success a month ago, but a 4lb rise demands more from her here. With that in mind, preference is for ON THE GO, who has placed on both starts so far this season and the five-year-old remains open to improvement. Lunar Power edges out Woodythewoodpecker to be best of the rest.

The best option is LUNAR POWER if he can build on his second at Kempton last time. On The Go is second choice.

(2) (7/1 +0%)On Your Way |
7/1(+0%) | (2) On Your Way 7/1, Improved down in grade back over hurdles when landing a handicap by a head off 98 over 2m at Limerick last time; trainer in form; returning from a long layoff; may have more to offer now he's had his head in front. Signed off last season with a 2m win at Limerick, could feature if fit and ready. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/1 +0%)Fool Me Once |
9/1(+0%) | (4) Fool Me Once 9/1, Tired late on ground softer than ideal when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Limerick last time; tongue-tie first time; effective 2m–2m6f, good ground probably suits best. Yet to score in 12 runs over hurdles, seems best suited by good going, tongue-tie may help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(16) (9/2 +0%)Toor Moon |
9/2(+0%) | (16) Toor Moon 9/2, Went clear and ran to form but was outbattled late once again, beaten 2l off 82 over 2m5f at Clonmel last time; acts on heavy and good ground; in-form yet frustrating maiden. Second on both starts over fences last month, definite chance of a breakthrough win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (11/1 +0%)Dgalwaygallivantor |
11/1(+0%) | (3) Dgalwaygallivantor 11/1, Probably needed the race but ran to form when beaten 3 1/4l off 101 over 2m2f at Listowel last time; off a long absence; progressive type returns off a generous mark. Good chance if reappearing in the same form as when third at last year's Listowel festival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (11/1 +0%)Hatfield Hammer |
11/1(+0%) | (7) Hatfield Hammer 11/1, Pulled up in a beginners' chase over 2m5f at Sligo latest; consistent type who can be effective around 2–2½m. Reverts to hurdling after two poor displays in chases, stablemate of less exposed Sean Mc. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (11/1 +0%)Rowdy |
11/1(+0%) | (8) Rowdy 11/1, Did too much too soon back up in trip when fourth beaten 25l in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Limerick latest; effective at 3m on good ground; still early days. Poor run over 2m at Listowel, remote fourth over 3m at Limerick last time, 2m4f may help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (11/2 +0%)Blue Reed |
11/2(+0%) | (11) Blue Reed 11/2, Made mistakes and did plenty early when below form back down in trip, yet did best of those up with the pace when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Kilbeggan last time; off a short break; a speed and form selection who is well treated on his winter C&D run. Second in handicap hurdles over C&D and Punchestown early this year, modest overall form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (13/2 +0%)Cosmo Renfro |
13/2(+0%) | (10) Cosmo Renfro 13/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan latest; currently out of form and plenty to prove. Makes debut for Gavin Cromwell, 4lb below his last winning mark; worth a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (14/1 +0%)I Feel Fine |
14/1(+0%) | (12) I Feel Fine 14/1, Never threatened on handicap debut when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Thurles latest; usually held up; effective at 2m on most ground; can improve when upped in trip. Never seriously involved at Thurles in his first handicap, still early days, may improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (15/2 +0%)Are You Busy |
15/2(+0%) | (6) Are You Busy 15/2, Below form though did just about see out the trip when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Naas latest; 2 1/2m prior and one to consider. Down the field over 3m in his first handicap, maiden win was gained at around this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (18/1 +0%)Matter Of Opinion |
18/1(+0%) | (5) Matter Of Opinion 18/1, Stopped quickly after a bad error when upped in trip on softer ground, comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Limerick last time; effective around 2½m, acts on good ground, unproven with cut. Remote fifth at Limerick last month, has almost 4l to find with fourth-placed Rowdy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (20/1 +0%)Teescomponentsyess |
20/1(+0%) | (1) Teescomponentsyess 20/1, Comfortably held off a stiff mark in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Carlisle last time; absent for a very lengthy period; enjoys racing from the front but bit to prove. Has a long absence to overcome and is probably best watched in the circumstances. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (22/1 +0%)Carlas Big Jim |
22/1(+0%) | (9) Carlas Big Jim 22/1, Never in a rhythm when down the field in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Clonmel most recently; may prefer this cut in the ground. Two wins over hurdles, not much in his recent chase form to encourage support. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (22/1 +0%)Mullanour |
22/1(+0%) | (13) Mullanour 22/1, Outpaced and needed the run when down the field in a beginners' chase at Tramore most recently; may prefer this easier ground. Uneven form in low-grade handicaps over hurdles, twice runner-up, others much preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(15) (22/1 +0%)Sean Mc |
22/1(+0%) | (15) Sean Mc 22/1, Ran to form but never threatened when down in trip, finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Naas most recently; acts with cut but needs to improve to defy this opening mark. Could slot into handicaps effectively, highly capable young point-to-point rider booked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(18) (22/1 +0%)Ladyeze Man |
22/1(+0%) | (18) Ladyeze Man 22/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Wexford latest; effective around 2½m but a regressive maiden overall. Pulled up on final start last season and again on reappearance at Wexford, 5lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(17) (25/1 +0%)Shanroe Act |
25/1(+0%) | (17) Shanroe Act 25/1, Yet to show much when down the field in a handicap hurdle here most recently; absent for a very lengthy period; needs to show plenty more. Absent since last of 16 over C&D in February 2024, transformation required to feature. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(14) (40/1 -21%)Monty's Way |
40/1(-21%) | (14) Monty's Way 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Gowran Park latest; effective at 2m on good ground but remains inconsistent and conditions a concern. Pulled up or tailed off since a long-priced Ballinrobe win early last season, no appeal. |

TOOR MOON is a long-standing maiden but competes off a handy mark. The form of his second in a handicap chase at Clonmel last month has been boosted by the winner who followed up at the same venue. Margaret Flynn's eight-year-old looks to have found a good opportunity to get off the mark. Gavin Cromwell's Dgalwaygallivantor hasn't been seen since finishing third at Listowel in September last year but he will be at home in these conditions. Cosmo Renfro has switched to Cromwell and will love the mud flying, so a big run wouldn't be a surprise. On Your Way obliged by a head at Limerick in January and also has a chance.

This looks like a good opportunity for TOOR MOON to go one better after three consecutive seconds, the first of which was over hurdles

(6) (6/4 +40%)Princess Keri |
6/4(+40%) | (6) Princess Keri 6/4, Outpaced but improved on previous hurdle form when beaten a neck off 78 at Chepstow last time; best around 2m4f, acts on good; looks on a competitive mark. Narrowly failed back over hurdles at Chepstow and that form has been franked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/4 +59%)Sea Thrift |
9/4(+59%) | (3) Sea Thrift 9/4, Improved when dropped in grade and trip to win a selling hurdle at Stratford over 2m3f by 2 1/2l last time; effective from 2m3f to 2m7f, acts on good to soft; an improving mare who faces a tougher task back in a handicap but brings potential over this trip. Up 10lb for winning a seller at Stratford and unwise to take that form at face value. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (13/2 -86%)Basilette |
13/2(-86%) | (1) Basilette 13/2, Improved when dropped in trip to land a handicap by 5 1/2l off 94 at Fakenham last time; effective from 2m to 2m3f, acts on good to soft and good to firm; sharp tracks suit and she's steadily progressing with this mark looking fine. Did it comfortably the final time so may well cope with the 6lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (7/1 -27%)Everest |
7/1(-27%) | (2) Everest 7/1, Ran to form when beaten 4l off 90 over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; effective from 2m to 2m3f, acts on good to soft and good; consistent enough but needs to find a bit more. Doesn't look that well handicapped but beaten about 4l in two of her last three races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (9/1 +44%)Inion Tiogair |
9/1(+44%) | (5) Inion Tiogair 9/1, Below form when fourth, beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective at 2m, acts on heavy; faces a tough task. Signs of finding her level when a front-running fourth at Uttoxeter in March. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (22/1 -238%)Masonbrook Meadow |
22/1(-238%) | (7) Masonbrook Meadow 22/1, Returned to form when suited by quicker ground to land a handicap by 3/4l off 76 over 2m1f at Exeter last time; effective at 2m, acts on good; respected on that latest effort. Exeter winner; wouldn't be an obvious one to follow up on what's likely to be slower going. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (28/1 -211%)Conniemak |
28/1(-211%) | (4) Conniemak 28/1, Needed the run on handicap debut when well beaten at Chepstow last time; effective at 2m, acts on heavy; much more required. Weak 28-1 chance on last month's handicap debut and was well behind Princess Keri. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (50/1 -178%)Macmolly |
50/1(-178%) | (8) Macmolly 50/1, Needed the run after a wind operation when pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; effective around 2m, acts on soft; needs major improvement. Pulled up in her two previous handicaps over further and was big odds on both occasions. |

BASILETTE won easily at Fakenham last month, her second win in October, and a 6lb rise may not be enough to stop the six-year-old from making it a hat-trick. Sea Thrift also won last time, but that was only a selling hurdle and she could be vulnerable off her new mark, so the recent Exeter winner Masonbrook Meadow may earn the silver medal on this occasion.

If she copes with the likely slower surface then PRINCESS KERI will have every chance of going one better than at Chepstow.

(5) (13/8 +28%)Palma Springs |
13/8(+28%) | (5) Palma Springs 13/8, Yard won this last year; Cokoriko filly and half-sister to a 2m1f hurdle winner in France; looks a contender on debut. Suitably bred and represents last year's winning stable; respected debutante. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (15/8 -7%)Crystal Jet |
15/8(-7%) | (2) Crystal Jet 15/8, Showed promise despite greenness when third, beaten 3l, in a mares' bumper at Stratford on debut; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft; leading player with improvement expected. Brings the best bumper form, having shown promise with third of 13 at Stratford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (9/2 -64%)Saxons Pride |
9/2(-64%) | (6) Saxons Pride 9/2, Telescope filly; dam was very useful at 11f; merits consideration on debut for a respected yard. From a family that her trainer knows well; interesting newcomer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (9/1 -50%)Semele |
9/1(-50%) | (7) Semele 9/1, Bobby's Kitten filly; dam was very useful at 6f; not an obvious one on breeding but represents a respected yard and this is not a strong race. Half-sister to five Flat winners; check the betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (12/1 +25%)Susie Q |
12/1(+25%) | (8) Susie Q 12/1, Magna Grecia filly; dam was high-class at 9f; could play a part in this ordinary race on debut. Sibling to four French winners; market may prove best guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (28/1 -40%)Laysoft |
28/1(-40%) | (3) Laysoft 28/1, Not without promise when well beaten in a juvenile bumper over 2m1f at Market Rasen on only start; should be effective at 2m but needs to improve. Holds modest claims on her Market Rasen effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (50/1 -25%)Athena's Dream |
50/1(-25%) | (1) Athena's Dream 50/1, Ulysses filly; half-sister to Noble Miss, who was smart at 16f; dam was also smart at 12f; probably up against it on debut. Suitably bred but stable's bumper record doesn't augur well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (300/1 -100%)Miss Helena |
300/1(-100%) | (4) Miss Helena 300/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a juvenile bumper here on only start; yet to find suitable conditions and may need more time. Trailed home last of ten in C&D contest. |

CRYSTAL JET caught the eye when filling third place on her racecourse bow at Stratford last month and Toby Bulgin's filly could be hard to stop with the benefit of that experience. Saxons Pride is out of a mare who won on the Flat as well as over hurdles and she could go well on her debut, while any market support for Palma Springs or Semele would have to be noted.

As regards the newcomers, PALMA SPRINGS and Saxons Pride are particularly interesting. Crystal Jet is the form pick.

Got off the mark over hurdles at Worcester in September despite failing to settle.. |

10/3(+72%) | (7) Following Chapter 10/3, Stable won this last year; ran to form on final qualifying run when fourth, beaten 17l, in a novice hurdle at Ludlow last time; trainer in form and returning from a long layoff; may get a bit further. Beaten at big odds in three starts over hurdles; makes handicap debut.. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (11/1 -69%)Baikal |
11/1(-69%) | (9) Baikal 11/1, Won by 2 1/4l off 89 at Ffos Las on penultimate start; ran to form when third, beaten 4l, off 93 last time; effective at 2–2 1/4m and suited by quick ground; thriving at present. Won for the third time over hurdles this term at Ffos Las last month; decent third since.. |

(6) (11/1 -120%)One Cool Dreamer |
11/1(-120%) | (6) One Cool Dreamer 11/1, Ran to form when beaten 3l off a mark of 71 over 12f at Kempton last time; in good form in both codes; unexposed over hurdles; a threat. Two decent efforts when in the money at Warwick and Bangor in June.. |

(14) (28/1 -12%)Galactic Glow |
28/1(-12%) | (14) Galactic Glow 28/1, Won by 3 1/2l off 52 over 10f at Lingfield in August; ran to form when fourth, beaten 7 1/4l, off 56 last time; probably has a bit more to come. 0-12 in this sphere but has won twice on the Flat since his last spin over hurdles.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (28/1 +0%)El Gavilan |
28/1(+0%) | (4) El Gavilan 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Worcester last time; effective at 2m but may need some cut in the ground. Took a backward step when pulled up on his return at Worcester and needs to rebuild.. |

(13) (80/1 -60%)Lady Wilhelmina |
80/1(-60%) | (13) Lady Wilhelmina 80/1, Made mistakes and found little when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Stratford last time; showed minor promise in France over 2m on testing ground but out of form for new yard. Well held on two starts in Britain; makes stable debut but hard to fancy.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (200/1 -100%)Glorious Lion |
200/1(-100%) | (10) Glorious Lion 200/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective at 2m and acts on heavy or good to soft ground; needs to prove ability remains after a layoff. Pulled up on stable debut at Uttoxeter 11 days ago following lengthy absence.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(12) (200/1 -400%)Silk Bird |
200/1(-400%) | (12) Silk Bird 200/1, Fell in a novice hurdle at Ludlow last time when well beaten; effective at 2m on good ground but yet to show much. Well held at massive odds on all three starts over hurdles.. |

Cases can be made for most of these, but none more so than GRANPA GER following his second in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter on his debut for these connections. The strength of that form suggests that the seven-year-old could be vastly underestimated by a mark of 105. Graecia and Baikal both arrive here in good form and are likely to be in the mix once again.

A wide-open finale in which several have claims but preference is for the unexposed ONE COOL DREAMER. The main danger is Graecia.

(3) (11/1 +0%)Escapefromreality |
11/1(+0%) | (3) Escapefromreality 11/1, Ran to form when 14l third in a conditions race over 3m at Curraghmore on latest start; value selection on the balance of form. Trounced All Night Revival at Castletown-Geoghegan last month, beatien twice since then. |

(5) (13/8 +0%)Jet To Monte Carlo |
13/8(+0%) | (5) Jet To Monte Carlo 13/8, Produced a very promising debut when winning by 14l in a maiden over 3m at Ballynoe; a clear threat. Made a good impression with a 14l debut win at Ballynoe in March, unsold at 200,000GBP. |

18/1(+0%) | (1) All Night Revival 18/1, Produced a promising effort when runner-up, beaten 17l in a maiden over 3m at Castletown-Geoghegan on only start; hard to recommend. Beaten 17l when second today's rival Escapefromreality in a maiden point last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (22/1 +0%)All Rise Malone |
22/1(+0%) | (2) All Rise Malone 22/1, Improved when landing a maiden at Loughrea over 3m by 1l last time; returning from a break and has a squeak. Won a maiden point at Loughrea a month ago but that was not a strong contest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (25/1 +0%)Jessbers Wish |
25/1(+0%) | (4) Jessbers Wish 25/1, Made a modest debut effort when third, beaten 5 1/4l in a maiden over 3m at Liscarroll; has it all to do. Third in a Liscarroll point-to-point in March for Denis Murphy, winner sold for 200,000GBP. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (28/1 +0%)Weespoof |
28/1(+0%) | (8) Weespoof 28/1, Pulled up in a conditions race over 3m at Portrush last time; hard to recommend. Two wins from 11 starts in points, unlikely to match a couple of the less exposed runners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (10/1 0%)Tadhg's Rock |
10/1(0%) | (6) Tadhg's Rock 10/1, Had a troubled passage on a promising bumper debut, beaten 9l at Thurles last time; returning from a long layoff and should improve for the experience. Two runs in points, shaped quite well when sixth of 18 in a bumper at Thurles in March. |

There was a positive report on UNFLINCHING's homework in a recent stable tour and he is taken to make a winning Rules debut for Gordon Elliott. Colin Bowe trained him to win a point-to-point at Dromahane in April and the runner-up has done plenty for the form since when winning a point-to-point, and a novice hunters chase at Tipperary. Jet To Monte Carlo made 200,000 pound at the sales after cruising home in a Ballynoe point-to-point in March. The four-year-old makes his stable/Rules bow for Emmet Mullins and rates a significant danger. Jessbers Wish is a full-brother to Bridie's Beau, who has won a couple of handicap hurdles on deep ground, and he is also of interest.

A Dromahane winner for Colin Bowe, UNFLINCHING (nap) may prove too good for Jet To Monte Carlo, a Ballynoe scorer for Nicky Stokes
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
