7/4(+42%) | (1) Country Code 7/4, Ran to form when finishing 5l third in a maiden over 3m at Oldtown on his most recent run. This trip should suit over hurdles and he looks promising. Placed in both Irish points last season; shortlisted on rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (5/2 +29%)Lewisham Grove |
5/2(+29%) | (9) Lewisham Grove 5/2, Ran to form up in trip when second, beaten 12l, in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Effective up to 2m4f and acts on good to soft ground; has more to offer. Well held when second at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago but ought to be very competitive here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (22/1 -389%)Port Station |
22/1(-389%) | (5) Port Station 22/1, Too keen and a bit below debut level when fourth, beaten a length, in a maiden bumper over 2m1f here last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground; could improve up in trip now hurdling. Only beaten about 1l in two run-of-the-mill bumpers and bred to have a future over jumps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (15/2 -7%)Walk On Son |
15/2(-7%) | (7) Walk On Son 15/2, Ran to form when 2l third in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Carlisle last time and should improve for this trip. Built upon encouraging hurdle debut when third at Carlisle last month; leading contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (66/1 +56%)Sparky Tom |
66/1(+56%) | (6) Sparky Tom 66/1, Ran to bumper level when well beaten in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Kelso last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground but needs major improvement. Not disgraced on recent hurdling debut but needs improvement over this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (11/4 +0%)Mooserwirt |
11/4(+0%) | (4) Mooserwirt 11/4, £36,000 Sholokhov gelding, half-brother to Storms End, fair at 21f. Joined a good yard ahead of his rules debut. Bought for £36,000 soon after winning good-ground maiden point on debut in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (50/1 +24%)Jet Approach |
50/1(+24%) | (8) Jet Approach 50/1, Poor Flat debut in cheekpieces when down the field in a novice over 11f at Southwell last time; has plenty to prove back hurdling. Beaten 30l+ on both hurdling starts in the spring and struggled on Flat debut in September. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (150/1 -200%)Dreamings Free |
150/1(-200%) | (2) Dreamings Free 150/1, Well backed and ran to form when 41l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m7f at Hexham on his latest start. Effective up to 3m and acts on good to soft or good ground but looks vulnerable. 0-14 over hurdles; went close off lowly handicap mark in May; minor role his best hope. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (18/1 -50%)Kids Say Lastgojoe |
18/1(-50%) | (3) Kids Say Lastgojoe 18/1, Too keen but improved a little when 18l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f here last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good to soft or good ground but yet to match his bumper form over hurdles. Well held when third in modest 2m1f maiden here last month; upped in trip today. |

Mooserwirt is a must for the shortlist making his Rules bow on the back of an effortless success between the flags. He's in the right hands to progress and is noted, as is Walk On Son following a much-improved third at Carlisle. The verdict is for LEWISHAM GROVE, though. Jennie Candlish's runners must always be respected when they're sent north from her Staffordshire base and the Uttoxeter second sets the standard with an official rating of 107.

The vote goes to WALK ON SON, who shaped as though today's longer trip might suit when third at Carlisle last month.

1st (8) (14/1 +22%)Livy's Lad |
14/1(+22%) | (8) Livy's Lad 14/1, Below form up in trip on handicap debut, possibly wanting better ground when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Chepstow last time; yet to find ideal conditions and improvement possible now chasing. New yard drops him back in trip for chase debut but this 5yo has a lot to prove right now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (6/4 +33%)Catchim |
6/4(+33%) | (1) Catchim 6/4, Ran to form, just outstayed when beaten 1 1/2l off 100 over 2m4f at Huntingdon last time; effective up to 2m4f, acts on G; drop in trip may suit. Went from the front at Huntingdon on Tuesday and it took the favourite to beat him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (14/1 -17%)Zoeman |
14/1(-17%) | (4) Zoeman 14/1, Disappointing on handicap debut when comfortably held over 2m3f at Exeter last time; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; has a bit to prove now chasing after an absence. He goes chasing with low mileage on the clock, albeit after a long absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (9/1 +50%)Whispering Royal |
9/1(+50%) | (7) Whispering Royal 9/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Worcester last time; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; needs to bounce back. AW/hurdle winner; 12l fourth then pulled up in his two runs over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (5/1 +0%)Just Gino |
5/1(+0%) | (5) Just Gino 5/1, Below form, not seeing it out when 5l third in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Catterick on latest start; effective around 2m4f and acts on soft and good to soft; may need the run after a break since January. Running well in Jan when last seen and holds each-way claims if resuming where he left off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (11/4 +17%)Pottersjetamay |
11/4(+17%) | (6) Pottersjetamay 11/4, Ran to form when second beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap chase at Fakenham latest; effective at 2m, acts on GS, G; respected off same mark. Runner-up in his last two chases; looks handicapped about right but has claims. |

POTTERSJETAMAY has found one too good in each of his last three outings, most recently in a warmer event at Fakenham, but today might be his day. This represents only his fourth start over fences and he could take a step forward to strike. Catchim's sole career success came over the smaller obstacles at this track and he ran well for second at Huntingdon on Tuesday. Just Gino looks best of the rest.

This weak field may offer POTTERSJETAMAY the right opportunity to break his duck. Catchim can also run well.

1st (7) (5/4 +50%)Fat Harry |
5/4(+50%) | (7) Fat Harry 5/4, Ran to form on chase debut when landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off 87 over 2m3f at Sedgefield last time; effective 2m4f, acts on G; capable under a penalty. Won on chase debut at Sedgefield last Thursday and a 7lb penalty may not stop him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (9/1 +10%)Athair Mor |
9/1(+10%) | (9) Athair Mor 9/1, Below form after getting badly hampered early when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m at Perth last time; effective at 2m4f; can do better. His chase debut performance wasn't devoid of promise despite the heavy defeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 -133%)Couldbeaweapon |
14/1(-133%) | (6) Couldbeaweapon 14/1, Scored by 17l off 88 over 2m5f at Sedgefield penultimate start but a bit below form up in trip next time; best at 2m4f; this drop in trip should suit. Won two in a row then bumped into progressive winner here; could be a contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (22/1 +33%)Alltalknoaction |
22/1(+33%) | (10) Alltalknoaction 22/1, Probably didn't stay when pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Ayr latest; effective at 2m4f; open to improvement over fences. No impact over hurdles last season but this point runner-up could improve for fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (15/2 +32%)Cave Hill |
15/2(+32%) | (11) Cave Hill 15/2, Bit below form up in trip when beaten 10l in a handicap chase over 3m at Ayr last time; effective at 2m4f; drop in trip may suit. Won over fences at Hexham in May and could improve for his recent return to action at Ayr. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (11/4 +39%)Too Cool Forshrule |
11/4(+39%) | (2) Too Cool Forshrule 11/4, Improved when back up in trip to land a handicap by 1 1/2l off 95 over 2m5f at Ayr last time; effective at 2m4f and in form, with more to offer. Won at Ayr a fortnight ago; can make mistakes but has to be respected up 4lb for last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (22/1 -193%)Marty Mcfly |
22/1(-193%) | (5) Marty Mcfly 22/1, Too keen when pulled up in a handicap chase at Hexham latest; effective at 2m4f; a bounce back is needed. Won on chase debut then pulled up there 15 days later; subsequent break may have helped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (18/1 +10%)The Jeweller's Pet |
18/1(+10%) | (1) The Jeweller's Pet 18/1, Well below form on first start over fences when pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Ayr latest; effective at 2m4f; needs more this time. Two hurdle wins at Ayr in February but pulled up there on recent chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (22/1 +0%)Dazzlelikethis |
22/1(+0%) | (3) Dazzlelikethis 22/1, Made mistakes and needed the run on chase debut when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m at Bangor-on-Dee last time; blinkers first time; bit to prove. Disappointing after promising career start but one to watch in the market; headgear change. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (18/1 -80%)Glory Hights |
18/1(-80%) | (8) Glory Hights 18/1, Improved on recent form when beaten a head off 90 over 3m at Ayr last time; trainer in form; effective up to 3m; may do better now chasing. Solid campaign over hurdles last season and in the mix if immediately taking to fences. |

FAT HARRY is turned out quickly under a penalty following his chase debut success at Sedgefield last week. He's clearly appreciated the switch to fencing and there could be plenty more improvement to come, so a 7lb penalty might not be enough to stop him from going in again. Couldbeaweapon has won two of his last three starts and is of clear interest, while Ayr scorer Too Cool Forshrule is another to bear in mind.

The very lightly raced 6yo ATHAIR MOR ran a lot better at Perth than the margin of defeat suggests and he gets the nod.

1st (6) (5/1 +55%)Ali Star Bert |
5/1(+55%) | (6) Ali Star Bert 5/1, Outpaced and never threatened when below form, finishing fourth beaten 27l in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter last time. A thorough stayer who likes a sound surface and shows his best form at Southwell. Fine record here and well down the weights but his record since March win is a concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (2/1 -45%)Golan Loop |
2/1(-45%) | (1) Golan Loop 2/1, Well backed, suited by the ground, improved after wind op when winning a novice hurdle at Ffos Las over 2m6f by 12l last time; effective at 2m6f, acts on G; this former point winner should do well chasing. Won an Irish point and on fifth attempt over hurdles; interesting handicap/chase debutant. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (6/4 +83%)Paper Mill |
6/4(+83%) | (3) Paper Mill 6/4, Ran to form when fourth beaten 9l in a hunter chase over 3m2f at Cheltenham latest; trainer in form; effective up to 3m2f, acts on G; others likelier. 7-14 in points; fourth in a hunter chase in May suggests this opening mark is realistic. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/1 -69%)Moonlit Potter |
11/1(-69%) | (4) Moonlit Potter 11/1, Well backed but comfortably held in a handicap chase at Market Rasen last time. Effective up to 2m7f and acts on good to soft ground, but yet to shine over fences. Pipped on chasing debut last November but disappointing since; left Henry Daly for £5,000. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (15/2 -114%)Kayce Dutton |
15/2(-114%) | (2) Kayce Dutton 15/2, Well backed in first-time cheekpieces when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a mark of 105 over 2m5f at Market Rasen last time. Effective at 2m5f, acts on good ground, and should have more to offer. Four seconds last season but he scored in first-time cheekpieces (2m6f, good) in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (20/1 -122%)Police Academy |
20/1(-122%) | (5) Police Academy 20/1, Held in third when refused late in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Fakenham latest; effective 3m, acts on G; respected on earlier win. Jumping last time is a concern (ended refusing) but major player judged on peak efforts. |

Kayce Dutton showed improvement in first-time cheekpieces to score at Market Rasen and is expected to mount a bold bid on his return. Ali Star Bert competes off a workable rating and is respected, but GOLAN LOOP might be the one. Warren Greatrex's five-year-old bolted up over the smaller obstacles at Ffos Las in May and, now tackling fences for the first time, a mark of 112 may prove to be lenient.

Cases can be made for all of them but PAPER MILL might be the one to emerge on top. Golan Loop is feared most.

Maiden hurdle winner who makes handicap debut; in excellent hands to continue to progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (10/1 -54%)Lucky Manifest |
10/1(-54%) | (8) Lucky Manifest 10/1, Travelled well and did it cosily, improving up in trip on handicap debut to land a 2m7f handicap by 5l off 109 at Kelso last time; effective from 2½m to 2¾m on good ground; progressive type. Won in smooth style at Kelso and could still be ahead of the handicapper despite 9lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (20) (10/1 +29%)As Legends Have It |
10/1(+29%) | (20) As Legends Have It 10/1, Ran to form when beaten 3¼l off 113 over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time; cheekpieces applied for the first time; effective around 2½m, debut form franked at top level, handles any ground, consistent and fairly treated by the handicapper. Runner-up on recent handicap debut and could continue to progress for in-form yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (12/1 -20%)El Capitaine |
12/1(-20%) | (10) El Capitaine 12/1, A bit free but improved back under rules to land a 2m6f handicap by a nose off 112 at Newton Abbot last time; effective around 2½m, acts on soft and good to soft; prolific in points and may have more to offer over hurdles for this yard. Prolific in points and won last month when back hurdling; might have more left in the tank. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (15) (6/1 +25%)Walkadina |
6/1(+25%) | (15) Walkadina 6/1, From a yard that has won two of the last ten runnings of this race; below form when fourth beaten 26l in a 2m handicap hurdle at Kelso last time; well treated on Listed novice form and interesting at a price for a yard going well. Below best when last seen but yard won this in 2019 and 2023 and she's not written off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (11/1 -38%)Bective Abbey |
11/1(-38%) | (7) Bective Abbey 11/1, Ran to form up in trip on chase debut, just flattening out after getting racing early when second beaten 11l in a 3m handicap chase at Southwell last time; trainer in form and probably has more to come back over hurdles. Lightly raced 7yo who is 2-4 over hurdles and retains potential for his powerful stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (15/2 +17%)Kap Vert |
15/2(+17%) | (6) Kap Vert 15/2, Improved slightly but flattened out late back from a break when beaten 1¼l off 118 over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; effective from 2m to 2½m, acts on soft and good; generally consistent and should come on for that run. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (25/1 +24%)I Spy A Diva |
25/1(+24%) | (5) I Spy A Diva 25/1, Ran well for a long way when beaten 7l in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective from 2½m to 3m on good ground, well treated on old efforts and could be running into form after a layoff. Well treated on her old form and she may be able to build on last month's reappearance run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (20/1 +0%)Norman Fletcher |
20/1(+0%) | (4) Norman Fletcher 20/1, Pulled up in a 2m handicap hurdle here last time; effective at 2m and handles any ground; may need to come down a few pounds to be competitive. Below last winning mark but soundly beaten/pulled up on his two outings this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (3/1 +70%)Marlacoo |
3/1(+70%) | (12) Marlacoo 3/1, Travelled well and ran to form up in trip after a wind operation, just beaten 2l by a race-fit rival off 112 over 3m at Chepstow last time; second run after wind surgery; effective from 2½m to 3m on any ground and consistent; should come on for that run but mark demands more. Clear with the winner when second at Chepstow last month and could be thereabouts up 4lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (18) (40/1 -43%)Time Interval |
40/1(-43%) | (18) Time Interval 40/1, Kicked clear but made too much use of and went on too soon when 6l third in a 2m handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter most recently; returning from a break and has a bit to find with stamina concerns up in trip. In good form earlier this season but this is hotter and he's untested at the trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (19) (12/1 +57%)Priory Park |
12/1(+57%) | (19) Priory Park 12/1, Scored by 6½l off 100 over 2m6f at Ballinrobe on his penultimate start; too much to do but stayed on for fifth beaten 4l off 107 last time; returns from a short break; best around 3m, handles any ground, and remains well treated on best chase form. Won readily on stable debut at Ballinrobe, then things didn't go his way at Listowel. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (17) (20/1 +0%)Lord Of All Saints |
20/1(+0%) | (17) Lord Of All Saints 20/1, Pulled up in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Ayr last time when returning from a long layoff; effective at 2½m, acts on soft and good to soft; was progressive until latest, though the handicapper may have caught up. Scoped dirty when pulled up in four-timer bid; this 5yo could still be on a good mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (13) (40/1 -60%)Rockstown Girl |
40/1(-60%) | (13) Rockstown Girl 40/1, Outclassed up in grade when fourth beaten 82l in the Kildress Plumbing Chase (Grade 2) over 2m4f at Down Royal last time; effective at 2½m and may stay further; should come on for reappearance but forecast rain a big worry. Irish-trained mare; market check advised but mixed form in Ireland this autumn. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (3) (80/1 -100%)Knockanore |
80/1(-100%) | (3) Knockanore 80/1, Pulled up in the Old Roan Limited Handicap Chase (Grade 2) over 2m4f at Aintree last time; has a bit to find and Eider winner likely has chase targets down the line. Won the 4m1f Eider Chase at Newcastle in February; may be best watched now back hurdling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (16) (20/1 +9%)King Of The Road |
20/1(+9%) | (16) King Of The Road 20/1, Outpaced but ran to form, looking in need of a stiffer test when 7l third in a 2m handicap hurdle at Ludlow most recently; effective from 2m to 2½m, acts on good to soft and good; mark looks about right, needs this step back up in trip. Three handicap wins last year but hasn't been the same force so far in 2025. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (9) (12/1 +14%)Avalo |
12/1(+14%) | (9) Avalo 12/1, Ran to form when beaten ¾l off 110 over 2m4f at Punchestown last time; form of penultimate run franked at Listed level; effective from 2m to 2½m and continues to progress. Placed in handicaps in Ireland on last five starts and could well be in the mix once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
18th (11) (125/1 -25%)The Jam Man |
125/1(-25%) | (11) The Jam Man 125/1, Outpaced and beaten early, finishing down the field in a 3m1f handicap hurdle at Aintree most recently; acts on any ground, stays 3m well, but out of form and needs to prove his ability remains. One to watch in the betting but this 12yo has struggled since returning from long absence. |

Kap Vert finished eight lengths clear of the third when second at Fontwell last month and is one to keep a close eye on. However, LUCKY MANIFEST made the perfect start for the Tom Lacey yard when readily taking care of his nearest rival by just under five lengths at Kelso, and is now 9lb higher. With the potential of more to come on just his second start in a handicap, he looks the way to go. Bective Abbey and El Capitaine are others to consider.

A strongly run race and the Cheltenham hill should be ideal for Irish raider PRIORY PARK (nap) and rain would not be an issue.

Well treated if building on that recent revival. Ran big race in defeat when back over hurdles last month but slower ground a worry here. |

2nd (11) (9/1 +36%)Livano Bello |
9/1(+36%) | (11) Livano Bello 9/1, Needed the run after a wind operation when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Carlisle last time. Effective over 2m and may need some cut in the ground. Others are preferred. Placed on handicap debut in April but made low-key reappearance last month. |

2/1(+50%) | (10) Looking Splendid 2/1, Well treated escaping a penalty and ran to form on a quick return when landing a handicap by 3/4l off 93 at Carlisle last time. 7th (7) (10/1 +9%)Starlyte |
10/1(+9%) | (7) Starlyte 10/1, Ran to current form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Kelso last time. Usually held up. Effective over 2m4f and acts on good ground. The handicapper is relenting. Won quite valuable series final in March but has not been in the same form in recent weeks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (13/2 +54%)North Parade |
13/2(+54%) | (2) North Parade 13/2, Possibly did not stay when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m3f at Perth last time. Effective around 2m4f and acts on good ground. The drop in trip may suit. Triple C&D winner in 2023-24 season; inconsistent last term but returns on a good mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (22/1 -144%)Theirshegoes |
22/1(-144%) | (8) Theirshegoes 22/1, Travelled well and ran to form when beaten 1l off 97 over 2m5f at Kelso last time. Effective over 2m4f and acts on good ground. Could do better still. In good form when last seen in spring but the forecast rain is probably not in her favour. |

LOOKING SPLENDID has really thrived since returning from his seasonal rest and he's on a hat-trick now following back-to-back October wins at Kelso and Carlisle. A 5lb rise is potentially lenient and his supporters will be pleased to see the excellent Dylan Johnston keeps the ride. Of the others, Summergrounds shoulders top-weight but will be fancied by many to at least make the frame, while C&D winner Parisian Fashion is noteworthy, especially if there is money around for her on her reappearance.

Triple C&D winner NORTH PARADE won't mind what the weather does and makes his seasonal debut from a good mark.

12/1(-33%) | (4) Maghlaak 12/1, Ran to form and was possibly outstayed when beaten 3l off 115 over 2m5f at Kelso last time; effective around 2m4f and acts on good; has a bit to find switching to fences. Two hurdle wins but he needs to find something extra to make a big impact on chase debut. |

2nd (5) (5/2 +50%)As The Fella Says |
5/2(+50%) | (5) As The Fella Says 5/2, Fell early in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Plumpton last time; trainer in form; effective from 2m1f to 2m5f and acts on soft and good to soft; a former point winner who could improve now chasing. Expensive to follow over hurdles but things could click on this switch to chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (14/1 -17%)Whatsyourproblem |
14/1(-17%) | (6) Whatsyourproblem 14/1, Needed run when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m at Sedgefield latest; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on any; should do better than on chasing debut. Record of 1-8 over hurdles and he struggled on chase debut in September. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (2/1 +50%)Daytime Dreaming |
2/1(+50%) | (2) Daytime Dreaming 2/1, Ran to form, scored easily when winning a maiden hurdle here over 2m by 8l last time; effective at 2m, acts on GS; should have more to offer over fences. Won maiden hurdle here last December and he needs a close look on handicap/chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (20/1 -100%)Quick Sharpener |
20/1(-100%) | (3) Quick Sharpener 20/1, Fell before the race developed in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee last time; effective around 2m4f and acts on good; remains inconsistent. Has poor completion record over fences and others are more convincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (5/2 -67%)Admiral Stewart |
5/2(-67%) | (1) Admiral Stewart 5/2, Won a novice chase at Sandown over 1m7f by 1l last time when unopposed; effective at 2m and acts on soft; a hurdles winner who may have more to offer over fences. Point/hurdle winner who looks on workable mark on handicap debut; interesting contender. |

ADMIRAL STEWART produced some fair form over hurdles, only finding subsequent Grade 2 winner Jet To Vegas too good in January, and he could prove even better over fences. The six-year-old was gifted a walkover at Sandown last weekend and an opening rating of 122 might underestimate his ability. Daytime Dreaming was last seen scoring over the smaller obstacles at this venue last December and is of interest on his handicap/chase debut. As The Fella Says is another to note.

Point/hurdle winner ADMIRAL STEWART is a half-brother to a useful chaser and he gets the vote on his handicap debut.

13/2(-8%) | (3) Eldorado Allen 13/2, Out of form when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Haydock last time; has dropped in the weights but regressive. Started last season with two placed efforts off 8lb higher; fighting chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (8/1 +6%)Mister Coffey |
8/1(+6%) | (4) Mister Coffey 8/1, Close to form but comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m5f here last time; consistent; looks the market's pick but big enthusiasm/strike rate concerns 0-16 over fences and doesn't appear to be crying out for this drop back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (11/2 +45%)Can You Call |
11/2(+45%) | (9) Can You Call 11/2, Made mistakes, was outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; effective at 2 1/2m and suited by good to soft; stiffer track could suit and could run well. Only 1-13 over fences but he's on a competitive mark and gets plenty of weight all round. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (7/2 +13%)Gunsight Ridge |
7/2(+13%) | (1) Gunsight Ridge 7/2, Ran to form when finishing fourth, beaten 6 1/4l, in the Red Rum Handicap Chase over 2m at Aintree last time; generally consistent but best efforts have come at 2m. Has the ability to play a big role, provided he's as effective back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (7/2 -17%)Fugitif |
7/2(-17%) | (2) Fugitif 7/2, May have found the ground a bit quick when well beaten in the Silver Trophy Handicap Chase (Grade 2) over 2m5f here last time. Boasts a good record here and could bounce back on easier ground. Has plenty of useful form at Cheltenham, including a success off 6lb higher; respected. |

6th (6) (11/2 +66%)Dreal Deal |
11/2(+66%) | (6) Dreal Deal 11/2, Had too much to do when fourth, beaten 9 1/2l, in a handicap hurdle at Listowel last time; usually held up and remains well treated on old form; versatile ground wise so interesting at a price. Irish 10yo who has been back in better form (form figures 124) since joining new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (12/1 +25%)Numitor |
12/1(+25%) | (5) Numitor 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m1f at Aintree last time; trainer in form; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and acts on any ground; enjoyed a productive season last term but his mark demands more and easy ground a worry. Fairly useful but has become an all-or-nothing type; comes with risk. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (14/1 +22%)Escaria Ten |
14/1(+22%) | (7) Escaria Ten 14/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m1f here last time; acts with cut but appears regressive. On a long losing spell; had wind surgery since last run. |

LORD BADDESLEY produced a brilliant performance on his return to action at Newbury last week and, if in the same sort of form, he can defy his penalty to record a quick double. Gunsight Ridge finished a respectable fourth over 2m at Aintree in April and remains on a workable mark, so he has to be of interest for the in-form Olly Murphy team. Fugitif is a two-time course winner who also has a chance.

Having shown plenty of useful form at Cheltenham, FUGITIF could well be the answer. Can You Call is second choice.

Didn't run badly over hurdles on seasonal debut; looks interesting in new headgear here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (12/1 -100%)Disguisedlimit |
12/1(-100%) | (8) Disguisedlimit 12/1, Too keen but improved on recent form when second, beaten 5l in a maiden hurdle over 1m7f at Wincanton last time; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft or good ground; former point winner with plenty of potential over fences for his new yard. Placed on all four hurdling starts last season; up in trip for stable/chase/handicap debut. |

3rd (2) (7/1 0%)Arthur's Quay |
7/1(0%) | (2) Arthur's Quay 7/1, Ran to form and showed a good attitude when beaten a neck off 118 here last time; effective around 2m4f and acts on good to soft or good ground; capable off this mark. Went close over C&D a fortnight ago and today's slower ground might suit him better. |

3/1(-50%) | (5) Tedwin Hills 3/1, Improved again under an aggressive ride down in trip at a sharp track when landing a handicap by 10l off 105 at Warwick last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m and needs a sound surface; penalised but still improving. In excellent form this autumn, winning twice on good ground; forecast rain a big worry. |

5th (7) (22/1 -22%)Halpha Soleil |
22/1(-22%) | (7) Halpha Soleil 22/1, Needed the run and was outclassed by the principals when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Carlisle last time; effective around 2m4f on good to soft or good ground; should find this drop in grade helpful. 0-8 over fences but not ruled out each-way in refitted cheekpieces. |

4/1(+27%) | (3) Chapel Green 4/1, Returned to form when jumping much better under a positive ride after a break, winning a handicap by 3l off 114 over 2m6f at Kelso last time; effective from 2m to 2m5f on good ground; erratic but capable. Career-best form when winning on seasonal debut at Kelso; likely contender again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (12/1 -60%)Moodofthemoment |
12/1(-60%) | (6) Moodofthemoment 12/1, Ran to form down in trip when landing a handicap by a neck off 107 here last time; effective over 2m4f and suited by a sound surface; respected after a small rise. Not one to rely upon heavily but held on well for C&D win last month; 3lb rise manageable. |

TEDWIN HILLS made every yard of the running to complete a double at Warwick recently and, despite his 7lb penalty for that success, the son of Getaway might be up to the task. Yealand is a C&D winner who was last seen filling the runner-up spot at Bangor and could have a say, while last-time-out Kelso scorer Chapel Green holds an obvious chance.

Ben Haslam's ARTHUR'S QUAY got going just too late to reel in Moodofthemoment here last month but remains well handicapped.

66/1(-164%) | (8) Presentandcorrect 66/1, 15,000 euros Soldier Of Fortune gelding; half-brother to Coole Hall, who was very useful from 24f to 25f. Has quite a lot of stamina in pedigree and he could be one for later on. |

7th (3) (22/1 +21%)Good Boy Griff |
22/1(+21%) | (3) Good Boy Griff 22/1, Too keen and modest on debut when comfortably held in an amateurs' bumper at Uttoxeter last time; should be effective at 2m–2m4f and needs to settle better. Pulled up in his final Irish point and was beaten 31l in a Uttoxeter bumper last month. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

100/1(-150%) | (11) Potters Angeltiers 100/1, Frontiersman filly; faces a tough task on debut. Out of a sister to a bumper winner but this looks a tough starting point. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (8/1 +27%)Colin's Legacy |
8/1(+27%) | (1) Colin's Legacy 8/1, Telescope gelding; half-brother to Tequila Blaze, who was very useful over 24f; should go well on debut for a yard that does well in bumpers. Half-brother to hurdle winners; stablemate of Gidge and market should guide. |

The horse who beat VANGO CAN GO in an Irish point-to-point earlier in the year ended up with Nicky Henderson and ran a race full of promise on his Rules bow in a novice hurdle at Ascot. That form could be quite strong and this four-year-old should be ready to roll given his in-form connections. Gidge finished second to a nice type at Uttoxeter and is respected getting weight from the boys, while My Mate Aj is a newcomer to consider.

Top of the list is GIDGE, who has a striking pedigree and was well backed when a promising second on her Uttoxeter debut in March.

9/4(+0%) | (5) Wade Out 9/4, Outpaced early but rallied gamely and improved on hurdle form, appreciating the stiff track when winning a 2m4f beginners' chase at Worcester by a head last time. Beat a very useful rival that day. Effective at 2 1/2m, acts on soft and good ground, with more to come over fences. Beat a talented rival on chase debut at Worcester and this step up in trip could suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (9/2 +0%)One Big Bang |
9/2(+0%) | (4) One Big Bang 9/2, Ran to form when 5 1/2l third in a Listed 3m handicap hurdle at Punchestown on his latest outing. Consistent handicap hurdler is a contender if taking to fences. In at deep end on this chase debut but trainer has high hopes for him over fences; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (16/1 -167%)Isaac Des Obeaux |
16/1(-167%) | (3) Isaac Des Obeaux 16/1, Stable has won four of the last ten runnings of this race. Travelled strongly in first-time blinkers, ran to form but tired late after doing plenty early when 19l third in a 3m handicap chase at Uttoxeter last time. Has a squeak but remains a maiden over fences. Trainer has strong record in this race; improvement is needed on this fifth chase start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (2) (7/2 +22%)Double Powerful |
7/2(+22%) | (2) Double Powerful 7/2, Travelled well and ran to form, just flattening out late up the hill after a break on chase debut when 2 1/2l third in a 2m4f handicap chase here last time. Usually held up; effective over 2 1/2-3m on any ground; progressive and should have more to offer in this sphere up in trip. Won here over hurdles; good third in handicap here on chase debut; could play leading role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (2/1 +33%)Leave Of Absence |
2/1(+33%) | (1) Leave Of Absence 2/1, Rallied gamely and ran to form when outstaying the runner-up to win a novice chase here by 2 1/2l last time. Likes to make the running, effective over 3m and should stay further. Progressive over fences but easier ground a worry. Won C&D novice three weeks ago and this sound jumper holds strong claims. |

Wade Out shaped as if crying out for this step up in distance when getting up towards the finish to score by a head over 2m4f at Worcester last month, and he has to be taken seriously. Double Powerful made the frame off a mark of 134 at this track last time and is noted, but LEAVE OF ABSENCE looks the way to go. Anthony Honeyball's charge did it well over track and trip on his return to the fray, beating a 150-rated rival in Pied Piper, and that form sets the standard.

Preference is for WADE OUT, whose chase debut win at Worcester last month reads well. He could be even better now he's upped in trip.

9/1(-100%) | (2) Queens Venture 9/1, Needed every yard and ran to form when winning a handicap hurdle by a short head off 116 over 2m6f at Newton Abbot last time; effective 2m4f–3m, acts on good to soft or good ground; progressive and could improve again now chasing. Much better for wins on her last two starts; has since changed hands and left Dan Skelton. |

In good form at Cartmel this summer last two starts; probably stays and has place claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (14/1 -40%)Matchless |
14/1(-40%) | (1) Matchless 14/1, Outpaced and outclassed when fourth, beaten 12l, in a beginners' chase over 2m at Carlisle last time; effective up to 3m and acts on good ground; needs improvement. Hat-trick in May/June and consistent form since; should be thereabouts. |

Queens Venture struck by a short head in a class 2 handicap at Newton Abbot in August and has since switched to the Dean Summersby yard, so she warrants a market check. However, DO NO WRONG went in by three lengths over C&D last month and is just 5lb higher. With a similar performance, the son of Sageburg could prove hard to beat. Of the remainder, You Some Girl makes the most appeal.

Top of the list are DO NO WRONG and You Some Girl. Soft ground, however, could swing it in favour of the reappearing It's Maisy.

Likely to appreciate further in time and may prove better suited to handicaps. Beaten a fair way into fifth in his two runs over hurdles and others have shown a lot more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (50/1 -178%)Littletown Lad |
50/1(-178%) | (3) Littletown Lad 50/1, Showed improvement on debut, having the run of the race when fourth beaten 5 1/2l in a bumper over 2m1f at Newcastle in a hood. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Needs further progress. Placed in a point bumper and wasn't beaten far in another bumper at Newcastle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (250/1 -279%)Red Tractor |
250/1(-279%) | (11) Red Tractor 250/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a maiden bumper at Huntingdon on her only start. Has plenty to find. Can only be watched after bringing up the rear in a bumper at Huntingdon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (150/1 -127%)Blazing Nelson |
150/1(-127%) | (2) Blazing Nelson 150/1, Poor hurdle debut when comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Market Rasen last time. Effective at 3m in points and acts on soft and good ground. Needs to improve. 0-5 in Irish points and finished a remote sixth on hurdling debut at Market Rasen (good). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (150/1 -200%)Son Of Tyran |
150/1(-200%) | (8) Son Of Tyran 150/1, Again below bumper form when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Fontwell. Likely to want further than 2m and looks a future handicap type. Looking one of his yard's lesser lights and handicaps will present better opportunities. |

WONDERING WHY started out in a class 2 Newbury bumper for previous connections, suggesting he was well thought of at home, and he stepped forward from that encouraging fifth to land the spoils at Huntingdon. An exciting recruit to hurdling, the four-year-old has since joined Ben Pauling's upwardly-mobile stable and he's expected to have been well schooled ahead of this assignment. Northanger Abbey makes his Rules debut and the horse who beat him in a point-to-point last November could hardly have been more impressive when introduced by Dan Skelton at Carlisle on Monday. He's noted along with Adonedeal.

Marginal preference is for WONDERING WHY, who has changed yards after showing significant promise in two bumpers.

1st (2) (3/1 +25%)L'eau Du Sud |
3/1(+25%) | (2) L'eau Du Sud 3/1, Yard has won two of the last five runnings of this race. Made mistakes and raced keenly when below form, finishing 5 1/2l third in the Maghull Novice Chase (Grade 1) at Aintree last time; form of novice Grade 1 win had knocks and has a bit to find. Impressive at this meeting last year and ran well in the Arkle; could well improve further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (5/6 -15%)Jonbon |
5/6(-15%) | (1) Jonbon 5/6, Winner of ten Grade 1s; took this in 2023 and 2024. Ran to form when second, beaten 5 1/2l, in the Celebration Chase (Grade 1) over 1m7f at Sandown last time and that form has been franked. Trainer in form and consistent; record here a concern but tough to beat. Leading chaser who has made a winning reappearance in this race for the last two years. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (9/1 +68%)Matata |
9/1(+68%) | (7) Matata 9/1, Went too fast and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap chase here last time. Enjoys making the running, effective at 2m, acts on any ground; mark possibly a bit high but dangerous if allowed easy time in front. Scored at this meeting last year but was disappointing back here on reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (10/1 +29%)Edwardstone |
10/1(+29%) | (4) Edwardstone 10/1, Winner of three Grade 1s; ran to form when fourth, beaten 17l, in the Celebration Chase (Grade 1) over 1m7f at Sandown last time. Not the force of old but consistent and likes the track. Twice beaten in this contest (second in 2023, third in 2024, both four-runner fields). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (6) (15/2 -36%)Libberty Hunter |
15/2(-36%) | (6) Libberty Hunter 15/2, Fell in the Queen Mother Champion Chase (Grade 1) here last time just as race was developing. Effective at 2m and acts on heavy and good to soft ground; progressive until that latest fall so not ruled out at favoured venue. Progressive; 2-4 at Cheltenham; going well when falling in Champion Chase on last outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (40/1 +20%)Haddex Des Obeaux |
40/1(+20%) | (5) Haddex Des Obeaux 40/1, Progressive type who improved when suited by easy ground and a positive ride, finishing 5l third in the Tingle Creek Chase (Grade 1) over 1m7f at Sandown last time. Absent for a long spell; enjoys making the running but has a bit to find. Absent since 2023; best watched on belated return to action; new yard. |

Despite having to give weight to all of his rivals, it would be no surprise to see JONBON add another victory to his record. Nicky Henderson's gelding was a beaten favourite in the Champion Chase here in March, but he still won three Grade 1 events last season and the nine-year-old can make it a hat-trick in this contest. Libberty Hunter may have finished in front of the selection in the Champion Chase had he not fallen three out and he should not be underestimated, especially if more rain arrives. L'eau Du Sud was a useful novice but does need to step forward to beat Jonbon.

Jonbon sets the standard but L'EAU DU SUD and Libberty Hunter are interesting challengers with further progress plausible.

13/8(+46%) | (3) Powerofjet 13/8, Ran to form when switching to fences, finishing strongly and beaten 5 1/4l into third in a handicap chase at Hexham last time; effective at 2m, acts on good; likely to progress and holds a good chance. Creditable third, despite an error, at Hexham on chase/seasonal debut; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (3/1 -260%)Mcgrath From Clune |
3/1(-260%) | (6) Mcgrath From Clune 3/1, Improved when winning a handicap by 6l off 69 at Hereford last time; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; respected under a penalty. Won at Hereford last week; good chance if backing up that form; 4lb higher in future. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/1 +36%)Take Centre Stage |
7/1(+36%) | (4) Take Centre Stage 7/1, Fell in a handicap chase over 3m at Musselburgh last time; effective at 2m and handles heavy ground; the drop in trip should be beneficial. Interesting, assuming he proves resurgent back at Newcastle; gained sole win over C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (9/4 +70%)Majestic Moment |
9/4(+70%) | (5) Majestic Moment 9/4, Lucky winner when landing a handicap by a length off 89 over 2m2f at Fontwell last time; looks to need further than 2m, acts on good to soft; improvement needed to follow up. On an unchanged mark but is no certainty to follow up his fortuitous Fontwell win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (66/1 -65%)En Avant |
66/1(-65%) | (1) En Avant 66/1, Ground may have been too quick when pulled up in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter last time; effective at 2m and may prefer some give; well treated on hurdle form. Regressive results this term; joined new yard for £1,000 since last run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (28/1 0%)Zara's Universe |
28/1(0%) | (7) Zara's Universe 28/1, Below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Market Rasen last time; effective at 2m, acts on good to soft; possibly worth another chance. Well treated on best form but proved far from consistent last season. |

MCGRATH FROM CLUNE had plenty in hand when scoring by six lengths over 2m at Hereford earlier in the month. Given that he was 5lb out of the handicap that day, the nine-year-old is only 2lb higher here despite a 7lb penalty and he is very hard to oppose as a result. Powerofjet caught the eye when third on his seasonal return last month and could prove to be the main threat, ahead of Getaway Jewel.

McGrath From Clune has a major chance but is inconsistent. POWEROFJET (nap) is solid, while Take Centre Stage is interesting.

17/2(-31%) | (4) Bear Market 17/2, Won cosily when dropped in trip and grade on quicker ground, landing a 2m1f novice hurdle at Aintree by 2l last time; since had wind surgery; effective around 2m1f on good ground; more to come. Won an Aintree novice in these colours for Nicky Henderson; unexposed handicap newcomer. |

2nd (1) (7/1 +30%)Beau Quali |
7/1(+30%) | (1) Beau Quali 7/1, Won by 2 1/4l off a mark of 116 at Warwick on his penultimate start; failed to jump or travel when fifth last time in cheekpieces; effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on any ground; now back hurdling. Poor last time over fences but won the time before; capable of a big run back hurdling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (7/1 +68%)Callin Baton Rouge |
7/1(+68%) | (8) Callin Baton Rouge 7/1, Ran to form when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap hurdle here last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on any ground; the handicapper may have her measure now. Only 1lb higher than when winning quite stylishly at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) in June. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (5/4 +88%)Eaton Anne |
5/4(+88%) | (3) Eaton Anne 5/4, Ran to form when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las last time; effective between 2m and 2m4f and handles heavy and good to soft ground; capable off this mark. Might be high in the weights now after his two wins on the back of wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (4/1 +71%)Libre De Choeur |
4/1(+71%) | (5) Libre De Choeur 4/1, Ran below form when third by 21l in a 2m6f maiden hurdle at Ffos Las where the ground may have been too deep; effective around 2m5f on good to soft; return to drier ground should suit now handicapping. Third in all his races; market helpful for this unexposed handicap debutant. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (16/1 +20%)Pergamon |
16/1(+20%) | (7) Pergamon 16/1, A bit below form back hurdling when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Perth last time; effective at 2m on a sound surface; needs to bounce back. 2-4 over hurdles but at 16-1 finished some way behind in his first handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (17/2 +29%)Chaos Control |
17/2(+29%) | (2) Chaos Control 17/2, Below form when making a notable late blunder back hurdling and was comfortably held over 2m1f at Market Rasen last time; trainer in form; effective at 2m on good ground; down slightly in the weights and can improve. Good mark but well held in Flat/hurdle handicaps since returning from a long absence. |

ZENATO followed up his Stratford success with an easy victory at Sedgefield last week. Given that was a conditional jockeys' event, the four-year-old does not have to carry a penalty here and he merits the utmost respect as he is 7lb well-in. Motazzen has been knocking hard on the door of late and could prove to be the main threat, although Golden De Coeur and Bear Market should not be discounted.

Henrietta Knight's MOTAZZEN (nap) continues to run well and can return to winning ways.

5/1(+17%) | (8) No Drama This End 5/1, Improved from debut showing a willing attitude when beaten 9l in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper (Grade 1) over 2m here last time. Open to marked improvement now hurdling for top yard up in trip. 9l ninth of 17 in the Champion Bumper here; could have a very bright future. |

2nd (4) (7/4 +30%)Heads Up |
7/4(+30%) | (4) Heads Up 7/4, Quickened clear comfortably for a very promising debut when winning an auction hurdle at Listowel over 2m by 2l last time. Off a short break; effective at 2m, acts on soft and good ground; a frontrunner with more to offer over hurdles and likely to stay this bit further. Champion Bumper form here probably sets standard. Champion Bumper runner-up who won readily on hurdle debut at Listowel; key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (16/1 -45%)King's Bucks |
16/1(-45%) | (6) King's Bucks 16/1, Outpaced but promising debut when fourth, beaten 6l in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Galway last time. Effective from 2m to 2¼m, acts on heavy and yielding; expected to progress under rules now stepped up in trip judged on his point win. Yet to threaten under rules but from top Irish yard and could have lots more to offer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (7/1 +42%)Destination Dubai |
7/1(+42%) | (1) Destination Dubai 7/1, Made mistakes but outclassed rivals on hurdle debut when winning a novice hurdle at Wetherby over 2m4f by 2l last time. Effective at 2m, will stay further, and suited by decent ground; useful in bumpers with more to come over hurdles. Grade 2 bumper runner-up who is 2-2 over hurdles; remains to be seen where limitations lie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (9/1 +25%)Moneygarrow |
9/1(+25%) | (7) Moneygarrow 9/1, Finished 11l third in the Persian War Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) over 2m3f at Chepstow last time. Point and bumper winner, highly tried in that sphere, acts on good to soft and good; should stay further than 2m over hurdles with more to come. Third in Grade 2 novice on hurdle debut but Harry Skelton rides stablemate Great Fleet. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (11/2 +31%)Great Fleet |
11/2(+31%) | (3) Great Fleet 11/2, Keen and improved up in trip when second, beaten 3l in a novice hurdle over 3m here last time. Effective from 2½m to 3m and remains progressive. Second in 3m novice here last time; this shorter trip could be a better fit for time being. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (28/1 -40%)Imperfectlyperfect |
28/1(-40%) | (5) Imperfectlyperfect 28/1, Promising debut beating more experienced rivals when winning a novice hurdle at Hexham over 2m by a length last time. Effective at 2m, acts on good to soft and good; bumper form franked, more to come over hurdles, and point form suggests he'll stay further. Won on hurdle debut at Hexham; big step forward needed today but the longer trip can help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (16/1 +27%)Intosomethinggood |
16/1(+27%) | (10) Intosomethinggood 16/1, Returned to form when back up in trip, finishing second beaten 2½l in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Carlisle last time. Probably best around 2½m and remains progressive. Back to form when second under 10lb penalty at Carlisle but has limitations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (12/1 -100%)Welonlyhavedone |
12/1(-100%) | (9) Welonlyhavedone 12/1, Fell in a novice hurdle at Galway last time when still in contention and that looks strong form. Effective between 2m and 2½m, acts on good and yielding ground; going the right way. May well be 2-2 over hurdles but for final-flight fall at Galway; high on the list. |

HEADS UP only found one too good in the Champion Bumper here in March and confirmed his well-being when winning impressively on his hurdling debut over 2m at Listowel in September. This step up in trip may bring about further improvement from the five-year-old and he appears to be the safest pick. Great Fleet chased home an exciting prospect over 3m here last month and this drop in distance should help Dan Skelton's charge, while No Drama This End completes the shortlist.

Top of the list is NO DRAMA THIS END, who was ninth in the Champion Bumper here in March and is well regarded by Paul Nicholls.

4/1(-14%) | (2) Majordomo 4/1, Headman gelding; dam a hurdle and chase winner around 2m2f in France; yard does fairly well in bumpers and won this last year; respected on debut. 30,000euros 2yo; dam French 2m2f chase/2m3f hurdle winner; strong yard runs two. |

12/1(0%) | (1) Mac's Max 12/1, Maxios gelding; half-brother to an 8f winner in Spain. Looks an unlikely winner on debut with stamina to prove. From Flat family; a rare bumper runner for this yard and perhaps best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (7/2 +50%)Striking Midnight |
7/2(+50%) | (6) Striking Midnight 7/2, 58,000 euros Jet Away gelding; dam useful bumpers and hurdles winner; could have a say on debut. 58,000euros 3yo; first foal; dam useful bumper and 2m-2m4f hurdle winner. |

5th (7) (25/1 +0%)Miss Veronika |
25/1(+0%) | (7) Miss Veronika 25/1, Moderate debut, already had wind op before well beaten in a juvenile bumper over 2m at Huntingdon only start; should be effective at 2m; major improvement needed. 18-1, beaten 21l when ninth of ten at Huntingdon (2m, good) early last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (5/1 -67%)Power Quest |
5/1(-67%) | (4) Power Quest 5/1, Failed to build on a modest debut, tried in a tongue-tie, and didn't stay when well beaten in a juvenile bumper at Aintree last time. Effective at 13f; probably up against it. Blinkered both starts, with tongue tied on latest; some ability but probably vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (9/1 +50%)Ringtone |
9/1(+50%) | (5) Ringtone 9/1, 1,000gns Shaman gelding; half-brother to a fair 8-10f winner. Others are preferred. 1,000gns yearling; the yard's only bumper runner this term (June) was a winning newcomer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (33/1 -83%)Opals Dream To Win |
33/1(-83%) | (8) Opals Dream To Win 33/1, 1,200gns Telescope filly; half-sister to Innerpickle, moderate at 26f. Dam fair from 12f to 16f. Faces a tough enough task on debut. 1,200gns yearling; yard (runs two) has had one bumper win in last five seasons. |

Those with experience do not set a particularly high standard, although Power Quest is a player based on his debut third at Exeter. However, a chance can be taken on MARVEL MAGIC, who cost 95,000 euros last year and is related to plenty of winners. Striking Midnight is out of a mare who was second in a Listed bumper and any market support for him would have to be noted.

Newcomers STRIKING MIDNIGHT, Majordomo and Marvel Magic are preferred.

Improved form in a visor, with win and second at Huntingdon in last two runs; key player. |

14/1(+0%) | (2) Top Guy 14/1, Did plenty early and found little when finishing down the field in a 2m handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter most recently; likely to need further than 2m and must improve. Point winner but he's struggled over hurdles and needs a transformation back up in trip. |

22/1(-10%) | (11) Liloo D'ores 22/1, Again below form when returning to fences and comfortably held in a 2m3f handicap chase at Market Rasen last time; effective at 2m4f on good ground but currently out of form. Still a maiden after 20 starts and has struggled over hurdles and fences in last two runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (40/1 -100%)Rajjamataz |
40/1(-100%) | (6) Rajjamataz 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter last time; effective over 2m4f on good to soft ground; has been struggling lately but cheekpieces go back on. His chase win was off this mark but he needs a major revival back over hurdles. |

JACK HOOLA only found one too good when trying to follow up his Huntingdon success in October at the same venue. The in-form five-year-old is 6lb well-in here and could return to winning ways. Ballyhiho has a similar profile to the selection and may give him plenty to think about, while Lady Henrietta is the clear pick of the remainder.

This is a tight call between the progressive 5yos Ballyhiho and JACK HOOLA, but the vote goes to the latter.

5th (9) (80/1 -100%)Sage Green |
80/1(-100%) | (9) Sage Green 80/1, Made mistakes and needed the run on handicap debut when comfortably held over 2m3f at Ascot last time. In good form prior and usually held up. Effective at 2m on good ground but must leave reappearance form behind. Needs to rebound, having taken a step backwards on handicap/seasonal debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (18) (5/2 +44%)Alphonse Le Grande |
5/2(+44%) | (18) Alphonse Le Grande 5/2, Made his move too soon off a strong pace and was well beaten over 2m2f at Newmarket last time. In good form beforehand, usually held up, and remains a threat as thrown in on best flat form including 2024 Cesarewitch win. Returns to hurdles looking very attractively treated on his useful Flat form; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (28/1 -75%)Pure Gold |
28/1(-75%) | (11) Pure Gold 28/1, Won by 7l off 102 at Hexham two runs ago. Fell when challenging late in a handicap hurdle last time and would've gone close. Suited by 2m on a sound surface and continues to progress but this demands much more. Good strike-rate of late; challenging when final-flight faller most recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (13) (18/1 -64%)Lucky Bere |
18/1(-64%) | (13) Lucky Bere 18/1, Ran to form back from a break after wind surgery when beaten 3l off 108 at Worcester last time. Now on his second run after the operation. Effective at 2m, acts on any ground, and is a consistent performer. Proving consistent (22333) over hurdles; ties in with French Emperor on Worcester form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (16) (50/1 -25%)Bobby's Fortune |
50/1(-25%) | (16) Bobby's Fortune 50/1, Outpaced and found the track unsuitable when well held in a 2m1f handicap hurdle at Cartmel last time. Returning from a break and worth stepping up to 2 1/2m so may find this sharp enough test. Made only late headway at Cartmel when last seen and this is harder. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (20/1 -25%)The Expensive One |
20/1(-25%) | (10) The Expensive One 20/1, Won by 2 1/4l off 106 over 2m3f at Stratford two starts ago. Saddle slipped after a bad error and was eased when pulled up last time. Effective from 2m to 2m2f, handles soft and good ground, and was progressing before that mishap. Jumping lacked fluency at Cheltenham (2m4f) last time; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (50/1 -52%)Quint Major |
50/1(-52%) | (7) Quint Major 50/1, Ran to form when benefiting from a drop in grade to finish fourth, beaten 6 1/4l, in a Limerick handicap hurdle last time. Effective at 2m on good ground. A bumper winner who has been inconsistent over hurdles but looks fairly treated. Irish 7yo whose overall record of 1-15 reflects that he's an exposed sort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (14/1 -27%)Katakana |
14/1(-27%) | (12) Katakana 14/1, Returned to form back over hurdles when winning a Thurles handicap by 5l off 95 last time. Effective at 2m on good ground and looks on a fair mark judged on maiden form. Showed improvement to win big-field handicap hurdle at Thurles last time; not dismissed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (6) (6/1 +50%)Shade Of Winter |
6/1(+50%) | (6) Shade Of Winter 6/1, Improved again when just outbattled late over 2m3f at Chepstow, finishing second beaten a length. Returning from a long layoff, effective from 2m to 2 1/2m, and progressing with form franked at top level. Opening mark looks fair. Consistent record reads 22322; solid contender and may progress now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (22/1 -214%)Bruant |
22/1(-214%) | (14) Bruant 22/1, Continued in poor form when beaten 10l in a 1m6f handicap at The Curragh last time; cosy winner when last seen over hurdles but looks clear stable second string. Scored comfortably at Downpatrick on last hurdles attempt; unexposed under this code. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (17) (125/1 -150%)Farhh Echo |
125/1(-150%) | (17) Farhh Echo 125/1, Disappointing on handicap debut when finishing down the field at Worcester. Cheekpieces are applied for the first time. Trainer is in form. Effective at 2m on good ground but inconsistent so far. Always behind in the Worcester event won by French Emperor; headgear fitted. |

It wasn't the strongest Grade 2 that FORTUNE DE MER won over C&D last month but it was still an effort full of promise. With that in mind, an opening mark of 124 over hurdles could vastly underestimate Dan Skelton's gelding and he could prove to be a class above. However, Alphonse Le Grande is very interesting as he has improved significantly on the Flat since he was last seen over hurdles in 2023 and he could be thrown in if transferring that ability to jumps. Others who make the shortlist include Bruant, Katakana and Shade Of Winter.

Topweight FORTUNE DE MER is taken to follow up his Grade 2 success. French Emperor is second choice.

5/2(+62%) | (3) Gavoo 5/2, Too keen and below form when upped in trip, comfortably held in a 7f nursery at Galway last time. Trainer in form; effective at 6f on a sound surface and the drop in trip should suit. Beat Fresh Fade in 2nd m'den start; ran well on h'cap debut; well beaten at Galway latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (11) (22/1 -144%)Sovereign Cry |
22/1(-144%) | (11) Sovereign Cry 22/1, Ran well to a point on debut when beaten 9l in a 7f maiden here. Well supported that day and could improve now dropped in trip. Stopped quickly on debut here but did go off favourite; drops in trip now so may do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/2 +40%)Whatchadoin |
9/2(+40%) | (4) Whatchadoin 9/2, Ran to form down in trip when getting off the mark in an auction race here by 1 1/4l last time. Effective at 5-7f and acts on AW; may have more to offer though drawn wide. Off the mark over C&D on sixth attempt 16 days ago; a bit to find on ratings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

50/1(-25%) | (8) Hazaka 50/1, 16 April foal; 25,000 euros Hello Youmzain colt. Dam unraced half-sister to French 9.5f winner Mr Melbourne Cen; others more likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (5/4 +50%)Amiata |
5/4(+50%) | (1) Amiata 5/4, Ran to form when beaten 4l in a nursery at Naas on handicap debut, a bit better than the result suggests. Has a top course jockey and effective at 5/6f; leading form chance though the wide draw is not ideal. Off the mark at Navan and unlucky on h'cap debut at Naas latest; top-rated and big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (250/1 -150%)Lamar Canyon |
250/1(-150%) | (9) Lamar Canyon 250/1, Failed to build on debut but had a valid excuse when finishing down the field in a 7f maiden here last time. Has speed in the pedigree and may be more of a handicap type. Has beaten few rivals in two maiden runs and 17l behind when 100-1 here last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (14) (15/2 -88%)My Cubby Bear |
15/2(-88%) | (14) My Cubby Bear 15/2, Improved on debut when down in trip and switching to AW, finishing second by a short-head in an auction race here last time. Wide draw a concern but effective at 6/7f and likely to progress further. Headed in the final strides over C&D nine days ago on 2nd start; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (300/1 -200%)Honey Dale |
300/1(-200%) | (13) Honey Dale 300/1, Still green but ran to form when comfortably held in a 5f maiden here last time. Bred for at least 6f and the step up in trip should suit, though further progress is needed. Big odds for opening two maidens and never landed a blow; hard to see her featuring. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (20/1 +50%)Cause I Like You |
20/1(+50%) | (12) Cause I Like You 20/1, 26 March foal; Dandy Man filly; full-sister to Dandy Warhol, very useful at 6f; dam very useful at 10f. Sister to 6f/1m winner Dandy Warhol but there are easier races to debut in. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (250/1 -400%)Commander Kabaw |
250/1(-400%) | (6) Commander Kabaw 250/1, Modest debut when well beaten in a maiden over 5f here on only start. Bred to be effective at 6f or further and should improve with experience. Last of seven over 5f here two weeks ago when slowly away; much more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (10) (50/1 -456%)Never Ever |
50/1(-456%) | (10) Never Ever 50/1, Bit below form when switched to AW, beaten 7l in a 7f maiden here last time. From a top course trainer; effective at 7f and could improve with cheekpieces applied. Decent form shown in last two starts inc' here over 7f last time; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (7) (100/1 -257%)Grey Sands |
100/1(-257%) | (7) Grey Sands 100/1, No-show on debut when well beaten in a maiden over 8f here on only start. From a top course yard; some speed in the pedigree though dam was a 1m4f winner; drops in trip. Last of 13 over a mile here on debut last week; big improvement needed. |

AMIATA won a 5f maiden at Navan and didn't enjoy the clearest of passages before staying on in fifth in the Birdcatcher Nursery over this trip at Naas, with Fresh Fade well behind. The Ger Lyons-trained gelding may now have most to fear from My Cubby Bear, who was just denied in a maiden over C&D last week and receives 10lb from the selection. Gavoo beat Fresh Fade in a Listowel maiden back in June and was probably unsuited by the combination of 7f and soft ground at Galway last time. Whatchadoin showed good pace throughout when landing a maiden over C&D a couple of weeks ago.

AMIATA was a winner on his penultimate start and should put in a good show on his AW debut despite shouldering a penalty

9/4(+55%) | (1) Barbapapa 9/4, Up late in new headgear combination when landing a handicap by a nose off 78 here last time. Effective from 6f to 8f and suited by the all-weather. Has more to give off a 5lb higher mark. Won C&D handicap on latest, value for more than nose winning margin as rider lost whip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (10/3 +39%)Rappell |
10/3(+39%) | (7) Rappell 10/3, Looked well handicapped and improved in reapplied blinkers when landing a handicap by a short head off 68 here last time. Effective at 5f to 6f and reliable on the all-weather. Generally consistent and may have more to offer. C&D winner; 4lb higher but that's offset by Keithen Kennedy's claim; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (6/1 +70%)Salah Belle |
6/1(+70%) | (11) Salah Belle 6/1, Best work late and close to form when beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap at the Curragh last time. Effective from 6f to 7f on the all-weather. Poor in 2025 overall but showed slight improvement most recently. C&D maiden winner; regressive of late; a return to AW needs to spark a revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (40/1 -100%)Enola Holmes |
40/1(-100%) | (2) Enola Holmes 40/1, Again a bit below form when beaten 6l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 6f to 7f and acts on a sound surface. Continues in moderate form but drops in grade. Ran freely when 5.5l behind Barbapapa on latest (weak in betting); check the market. |

50/1(-127%) | (3) Mehmar 50/1, Again failed to beat a rival when well beaten in a handicap at Windsor latest. Has a wide draw and is suited by 6f. Up against it despite preference for faster ground. Sold for just 2,400gns in August; much reduced mark but hard to fancy on yard debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (25/1 -79%)Green Icon |
25/1(-79%) | (5) Green Icon 25/1, Got going late down in trip when beaten 3 1/2l in a claimer here last time. Appears best at 8f and can act with some cut. Inconsistent of late and this trip looks too sharp. Eyecatching run from bad draw here on latest; a stone better off with the winner here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (11/2 -10%)Phoenix Pairc |
11/2(-10%) | (6) Phoenix Pairc 11/2, Well positioned and ran to form to get off the mark when winning a maiden here over 7f by 2l last time. Has a wide draw and is effective from 6f to 7f on the all-weather. Needs more back in a handicap. 7f maiden win; fair mark on handicap debut but won't get to the front easily from her draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (16/1 -100%)Imperial Dream |
16/1(-100%) | (10) Imperial Dream 16/1, Bit below form when fourth, beaten 5 1/2l, in a handicap over 7f here latest. Has a wide draw and is effective from 6f to 7f on the all-weather. Fair mark if able to build on recent revival. Sent off favourite again when fourth over 7f three weeks ago; needs to find a bit more. |

RAPPELL is one of four runners here to win last time out. The Paul Flynn-trained gelding scored three times last year and again showed his liking for 6f when making a successful start on this surface in September. Inishmot Prince and Dontspoilasale are closely match on running over 5f here on Wednesday, while the latter was narrowly denied by Sporting Hero over track and trip last week. Send Harry beat Imperial Dream on his penultimate start at this venue and again ran well over 7f here on Wednesday. Barbapapa struck over C&D recently, despite the rider losing his whip early in the straight.

SPORTING HERO won a C&D claimer nine days ago and, nicely treated back in a handicap, he can confirm the form with his rivals

Best of three maiden runs came on debut when 7th of 14; hood on but 2lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (40/1 -100%)Dawson Street |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (11/1 -10%)Dunleer Dancer |
11/1(-10%) | (2) Dunleer Dancer 11/1, Below form, possibly due to the ground, when down the field in a nursery over 7f at Galway last time; effective at 7f; step up to 8f may help. Promising h'cap debut at Curragh when 4th; not out of it if leaving latest run behind. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (33/1 -32%)Maker's Mark |
33/1(-32%) | (11) Maker's Mark 33/1, Below maiden level, ground and stamina possible issues when down the field in a nursery at Bellewstown most recent; hood first time; should be effective 7-8f; inconsistent in a short career. Struggled in m'dens and on h'cap debut last time; down 3lb and hood on now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (3) (33/1 -106%)Wingit |
33/1(-106%) | (3) Wingit 33/1, Not a clear run but ran to form on handicap debut when beaten 6 1/2l in a nursery over 7f here last time; effective 7f, acts on AW; should improve up in trip. Never counted in opening m'dens and well behind here on h'cap debut last time. |

BADGER'S COVE didn't enjoy much luck in running when third in a Fairyhouse claimer before again shaping with promise for current connections when making his handicap debut at this venue. He had both John La Bear and Wingit behind when going down by a length in third and the booking of Colin Keane adds to confidence. Manifest Destiny was prominent throughout before fading into fifth over 7f at Galway and rates a threat, while Femme Beauty has indicated ability on a couple of occasions and can't be discounted.

Well supported on handicap debut over 7f here last time, BADGER'S COVE (nap) could only manage third but may make amends now

8/1(-33%) | (13) Glyde Ranger 8/1, Well below best after a slow start when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 11f here last time. Effective at 12f on AW but recent form poor and slow starts an issue. Winner at Sligo in 2023 and 12lb lower than C&D win last year; needs a revival. |

A change in tactics combined with a first-time tongue-strap brought about considerable improvement in MY VONNIE. Running her best race to date over C&D last week, the locally-trained four-year-old attempted to make all and while headed early inside the final furlong, she still managed to finish a gallant second. Beaten a head at Navan when last seen, Just Another Eagle is an obvious danger. The Adrian McGuinness-trained Jawhary, top-weight Aurora's Beauty and Idomything, who won at Bellewstown last month, are others for the shortlist in this weak affair.

Beaten just a head at Navan recently, JUST ANOTHER EAGLE is a C&D winner and may add to her tally

9/4(+59%) | (11) Wonderfulwonderful 9/4, Promising start over hurdles when winning a maiden at Killarney over 2m1f by 10l last time; consistent on the Flat over 7-10f and could have more to offer back in this sphere. Bolted up on hurdle debut; looks the chief danger to Square Necker back on the level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (11/1 -22%)Hexagonal |
11/1(-22%) | (2) Hexagonal 11/1, Ran to form when 3 1/4l third in a maiden over 8f at Roscommon on latest start; effective around 8f and back up in trip. Hung left when midfield on C&D debut; better runs on softish ground since; AW a worry. |

400/1(-506%) | (7) Money Shuffler 400/1, Poor Flat debut when down the field in a maiden here last time; tried in cheekpieces and should be effective at middle distances but looks one for lowly handicaps. No good on AW/Flat debut three weeks ago; cheekpieces reached for. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (4/1 +86%)Jet Warrior |
4/1(+86%) | (5) Jet Warrior 4/1, Slowly away and poor on debut when well beaten in an auction race over 10f at Navan; should be effective around 10f and can surely improve on that first effort. Beaten out of sight on debut; gelded; Wayne Lordan booked so is worth a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (80/1 -264%)Faithful Follower |
80/1(-264%) | (1) Faithful Follower 80/1, Travelled but failed to find much after briefly threatening on handicap debut when down the field in a 2m handicap hurdle at Navan last time; should be effective at this trip on the Flat. 2m Kilbeggan maiden hurdle win in August; no impression on handicap debut; Flat debut here. |

Half-sister to stable's 8-time winner Ducky Mallon; no impact in 2 turf outings; AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (18/1 +0%)Cedra Court |
18/1(+0%) | (4) Cedra Court 18/1, Make Believe gelding; dam was very useful from 9f (as a 2yo) to 10f; hooded for debut. Dam AW 2yo winner, half-sister to Group 3 winning dam of Danon The Kid (Group 1 winner). |

A key cog in the success of the Adrian Murray/Amo Racing story in recent years, Robson De Aguiar now saddles a first runner in his own name. SQUARE NECKER is the horse in question, with Colin Keane a significant jockey booking on this former Ralph Beckett inmate. Sent off favourite when a close third on debut at Doncaster in March, the Zarak three-year-old will be well fancied to go a couple of places better. Successful over flights when last seen at Killarney in August, Wonderfulwonderful is the second choice, with Matrice, Eastern Peace and Hexagonal other leading hopes.

Robson De Aguiar can get his training career off to the perfect start with SQUARE NECKER, who ran Bedouin Prince close on debut

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (22/1 -57%)Tatateo |
22/1(-57%) | (6) Tatateo 22/1, Bit below form when dropped in trip and fourth beaten 10l in a novice hurdle over 2m at Wexford last time; effective around 10f and has something to prove returning to the all-weather. Doing well over hurdles lately; won over this sort of trip on AW before; market noted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (7/1 +13%)Bryant |
7/1(+13%) | (3) Bryant 7/1, Didn't quite stay the trip when fourth beaten 15l in a handicap over 1m6f at Listowel last time; effective from 10f to 14f, acts on the all-weather; drop back in distance may suit returning to this surface. Roscommon winner on good; possibly didn't like heavy at Listowel; respected; new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (9/2 -35%)No More Porter |
9/2(-35%) | (7) No More Porter 9/2, Ran to form when dropped in trip and beaten 2l off 70 over 8f here last time; effective from 8f to 11f and acts on the all-weather; not the force of old but remains well handicapped. 2nd to Quatre Bras over C&D last month; 5lb better off at the weights with that rival here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (15/2 -15%)Longbourn |
15/2(-15%) | (2) Longbourn 15/2, Bit below form when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap here last time; effective from 9f to 11f, acts on a sound surface; not at best this year but the handicapper has shown leniency. Faded out of things behind Quatre Bras and No More Porter over C&D four weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (25/1 -127%)San Andreas |
25/1(-127%) | (1) San Andreas 25/1, Below form when stopping quickly in reapplied cheekpieces and finishing down the field in a handicap here last time; trained by a top course handler; effective up to 12f, acts on the all-weather; has something to prove after that effort. 3lb below last winning mark but will need to bounce back from terrible run when last seen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (22/1 -175%)Aratayvo |
22/1(-175%) | (5) Aratayvo 22/1, Below form when upped in grade on handicap debut and finished down the field over 8f here last time; effective at that trip and best on the all-weather; expected to have done better on latest outing. Finished last of 13 on his return/handicap debut last month; not sure to stay this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (8/1 -7%)Je T'ai Porte |
8/1(-7%) | (8) Je T'ai Porte 8/1, Fair effort on first Flat run in two years when beaten 5l in a 12f handicap at Roscommon last time; effective around that trip but not sure the drop in distance will suit back on the all-weather. Dual AW winner; rated 130 over fences; well treated off 68 on the Flat; contender. |

None of the eight can be safely ruled out, with SAN ANDREAS no more than a token choice. Winning a quarter of his 32 starts at this venue, the admirable nine-year-old will again be ridden by young apprentice Shay Wallace, who claims a valuable 7lb. Successful over C&D last month and narrowly beaten when attempting to follow up, the Colin Keane-ridden Quatre Bras is the second choice. Saddling his first runner earlier on the programme, Robson De Aguiar has a decent chance with Bryant, while Longbourn and No More Porter are other leading hopes.

Quatre Bras and NO MORE PORTER renew rivalry and it's the latter who can come out on top this time with a 5lb pull

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (14/1 -56%)Minaun View |

50/1(-100%) | (11) Not So Profitable 50/1, Again below debut level up in trip when down the field in a 12f maiden at the Curragh most recent. Usually held up; shows speed in pedigree and drops in trip for handicap debut in a tongue-tie. Tongue-tied for handicap/AW debut; market will reveal expecations from basement mark. |

The hat-trick seeking Blackjack Hills is sure to be a popular choice with punters and, with his latest success coming over C&D, it will come as no surprise if he strikes again. One of five handicap debutants in the line-up, Minaun View is another sure to have plenty of supporters. Claimed by current connections after finishing second on her latest start, it will be interesting to see how she copes with this step up in trip. For a selection, it might be worth taking a chance on NO MORE KISSES. Last seen finishing fifth on what was her second start in handicap company, she is open to further progress. Andy Slattery's Drucker, UK winner Magna Gee Gee and Galley Point are others for the shortlist.

The highly progressive BLACKJACK HILLS can rattle off a hat-trick of wins in quick succession. Drucker can follow him home
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
