There were 38 Races on Monday 18th November 2024 across 5 meetings. There was 7 races at Leicester, 6 races at Plumpton, 7 races at Exeter, 9 races at Southwell, 9 races at Wolverhampton, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.
The data in the racecards below is for the past year. View the racecard key.

Runner-up on each of his two starts since switching to handicaps, DEXPERADO brings a strong level of form to the table and a mark of 92 still looks manageable as he seeks to get off the mark at the seventh time of asking. Involved in a dead-heat before being demoted to second at Huntingdon in May, Alioski has since scored on the level and he is a key player, along with Snapius for the in-form James Owen team.

The 4-y-o LORD OF ALL SAINTS left the strong impression that this step up in trip was very much in order when a creditable fourth on his handicap debut at Chepstow. He should come on for that seasonal reappearance and gets the nod ahead of Dexperado, who looks sure to pick up a race sooner rather than later judged on his Market Rasen efforts during the spring. George Mallory is also feared, while Alioski is also shortlisted.

The suggestion is DEXPERADO who was in good form with cheekpieces added when last seen out in the spring.

Although a beaten odds-on favourite on his hurdling debut last month, ROMAN ROY can reward his supporters today. The son of Blue Bresil should appreciate a step up in trip on his second start following wind surgery and the yard have hit a real purple patch of late. Canal Court finished a distant second at Kempton recently but, with a tongue-tie applied for the first time, he is the main danger. Sign Again could chase the pair home.

This looks a good chance for ROMAN ROY to build on a solid first run over hurdles here over a shorter trip last month. Canal Court is taken to follow him home.

Ditcheat runner ROMAN ROY looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark. Canal Court can chase him home.

Having failed to build on a promising third-placed reappearance at Newton Abbot when down the field at Chepstow and pulling up at Plumpton, Forever William has something to prove now tackling fences. He would likely go close if back to his best, but GYENYAME rates a more solid proposition. Joe Tizzard's six-year-old should have learned plenty from his opening sixth over fences at Chepstow and a similar performance may suffice. Universal Secret has it all to do on the ratings.

GYENYAME made a pretty encouraging start over fences in a well-contested Chepstow handicap on his return and this is much easier so he holds obvious claims with improvement on the way. Forever William is closely matched with him on hurdles form and can put up a bold display if he fancies it.

This looks a match and preference is for GYENYAME who gained some chasing experience when not running too badly at Chepstow.
Class & Speed Card

A decent sort on the Flat, I LOVE PARIS was last seen going close at Newbury in July and she has since switched to the Chris Honour stable to embark on a career over hurdles. The daughter of Too Darn Hot is ahead of her rivals by what she did on the level, and it may be that Remarkable Flight gives her the most to think about for a team in terrific form at present. Stuart Edmunds has a fine record at this track so Edna E Mode must also be considered.

I LOVE PARIS can't be considered too safe a conveyance given she's refused to go to post on her last 2 intended starts on the Flat, but she's easily the best of these on her day in that sphere and is worth the benefit of the doubt starting out for a new yard. Remarkable Flight is feared most.

In a race that makes little appeal the suggestion is EDNA E MODE, who showed promise on the Flat for Harry Charlton in the spring.
Class & Speed Card

21lb clear of his nearest rival Kilcummin on official ratings and in receipt of 6lb, this ought to be a fourth hurdles success for the Jennie Candlish-trained MATCHLESS. Second in a 0-120 over 2m4f at Perth in September to solidify his claims further, the drop in trip should also suit. Tara Iti struck the woodwork in a similar event at Huntingdon six days ago and is most appealing of the remainder.

MATCHLESS stands out on form and will have to run poorly not to win this. Kilcummin is the likeliest to take advantage if the selection underperforms and Tara Iti isn't without hope.

This looks an inviting opportunity for MATCHLESS at the weights now dropped into selling company.

Although FLORENCETHEMACHINE wasn't always the most fluent when third on her chase/seasonal bow over C&D, she will take the beating if brushing up on her jumping. The six-year-old is entitled to improve for that return to action and she makes plenty of appeal. Another Folly is only 1lb higher than his third-placed debut over fences over 2m3f here last month and he could prove the biggest danger if seeing out the trip, ahead of Face D'music.

FLORENCETHEMACHINE wasn't able to justify favouritism at this C&D on her chasing debut last month, but she shaped best having not always been fluent and her jumping can improve with that experience behind her. The Paul Nicholls-trained mare is preferred to Another Folly, who is also open to improvement as she makes her second chase start.

She made some mistakes on her chase debut here but FLORENCETHEMACHINE still appeals as the most likely winner.
Class & Speed Card

A highly encouraging second on his debut over hurdles at Carlisle, the way WOODLAND PARK shaped on that occasion when keeping on at the finish gave every impression that he is ready for this rise in distance. The five-year-old gets the vote ahead of Jakar Du Moulin, who was snapped up for 175,000 pounds after running out a taking winner of a point-to-point in February. A Moments Madness shaped well when fourth at Wetherby and cannot be ruled out either.

This should go the way of WOODLAND PARK, who lost no caste in defeat when going down narrowly on his hurdles debut at Carlisle and he seemingly has a bright future. Jakar du Moulin is an intriguing recruit for the Paul Nicholls yard and it will be interesting to see how this point winner shapes up in the betting, while A Moments Madness, who shaped well on debut in this sphere at Wetherby, and Western Harmony are others to consider.

Jakar Du Moulin seems to be held in some regard but WOODLAND PARK has the form in the book and he's readily preferred.
Class & Speed Card

MENAGGIO made the perfect start to life over fences when winning a three-runner C&D event last month. It's hard to know what he really achieved there and a 4lb rise will make things tougher, but he ought to progress and is taken to follow up. Sea Invasion makes his seasonal return/chasing bow and looks a likely type, although Everyonesgame, who held the highest rating of these over timber, might be well handicapped from a mark of 121.

MENAGGIO made a promising start over fences when winning at this C&D last month, quickly settling the issue after the last, and he looks to hold leading claims with further improvement to come. Of the chasing debutants in opposition, Sea Invasion went the right way over hurdles last season and could be the main danger, ahead of Inca de Lafayette.

Menaggio isn't passed over lightly but SEA INVASION might have a bit more scope off this mark on chase debut.
Class & Speed Card

Having scored a shade cosily at Wincanton last month, KICK UP A STORM makes plenty of appeal in this follow-up bid. A 5lb rise in the ratings looks on the lenient side for Paul Nicholls' charge and a third career victory could be on the cards. The reappearing Tiny Tetley returns to the scene of his maiden success and he's feared most, with Callum Pritchard taking off a handy 7lb. Kiss My Face is unlikely to be far behind them.

The Philip Hobbs and Johnson White stable is going well so TINY TETLEY gets the vote to make a winning reappearance under a rider who has made a big splash in the conditional ranks this autumn. Kick Up A Storm and Kiss My Face arrive in form and will ensure the selection doesn't get things all his own way.

Most have chances but TINY TETLEY was coming along nicely until disappointing on his handicap debut.
Class & Speed Card

THE WOLF has strong claims of following up last week's easy success at Huntingdon. He remains on a decent mark, despite carrying 7lb extra, and a sound surface should not be a problem for Olly Murphy's charge. Impatient also carries a penalty for winning at Ffos Las in good style, although that was only his second outing over fences and he should have more to offer. Almazhar Garde looks high enough in the handicap at present, but should run his usual solid race.

IMPATIENT was impressive when scoring at Ffos Las despite some iffy jumping and can defy a penalty if in the same mood. The Wolf, another recent winner, could be the main danger.

Ffos Las scorer IMPATIENT is unexposed and given the nature of his success, he is taken to successfully defy his 7lb penalty.
Class & Speed Card

Although still a maiden under Rules, Eaton Anne has done little wrong in his three placed efforts over hurdles to date. Olly Murphy's gelding is only 2lb higher than his second-placed handicap bow at Stratford and another prominent role is forecast. However, SMUGGLERS HAVEN accounted for a subsequent winner when opening his account at Hereford last month and the five-year-old may prove to be the better handicapped of the pair. Highway One O Five can chase the duo home.

With cheekpieces added, HIGHWAY ONE O FIVE showed the benefit of his reappearance when third at this C&D 2 weeks ago and he could be ready to open his account for last year's winning trainer of the race. Eaton Anne isn't taken lightly upped further in trip, while Smugglers Haven could also still have more to offer.

This looks a good opportunity for EATON ANNE (nap) to get off the mark over hurdles. He has most to fear from Smugglers Haven.
Class & Speed Card

BASILETTE took a step forward from her hurdling bow to fill the runner-up spot at Plumpton and Seamus Mullins' mare may take advantage of a decent opportunity at the third time of asking in this sphere. Lusso Milan sports a tongue-tie for her first attempt over timber and she is capable of being in the mix based on her bumper form, while Chattamento appears best of the remainder.

JAKANA has seemingly been a slow learner in bumpers but she took a step forward when runner-up at Southwell back in June so she could be worth chancing to make a winning start over hurdles at the expense of Basilette, who has an experience edge over his rivals but goes about things in a less-than-straightforward manner. Chattamento can fill out third in what looks a trappy contest.

Improvers lurk. BLACKSAMSSENORITA has contested Class 2 bumpers since placed on her debut and earns a tentative nod over Jakana.
Class & Speed Card

Suitably Surprised bids to land a quick double after scoring on Thursday. She will likely prove competitive once again, but only prevailed by a nose at Sedgefield and PURPLE GOWN is preferred. Adam Nicol's five-year-old finished a respectable fourth back over hurdles at Newcastle last month and the presence of Brian Hughes in the saddle offers further encouragement. The remainder are struggling for form at present, although Inchiquin Spirit slips further down the weights and could go well.

If this doesn't come too soon after Sedgefield on Thursday SUITABLY SURPRISED might be good for another win. Purple Gown was beaten only 2 lengths when fourth at Newcastle last time and ought to be thereabouts under Brian Hughes. Bobbigrey is a handicap newcomer to monitor in the betting with the Jennie Candlish team in form.

Dual Flat winner PURPLE GOWN (nap) has a good opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles following her solid run at Newcastle.
Class & Speed Card

Having tallied three victories over hurdles since racing under the tutelage of Olly Murphy in May, VOCITO could make the most of a lower mark over fences. The six-year-old ticks plenty of the right boxes and he is narrowly preferred to fellow in-form rival Nevendon. The Nathaniel gelding arrives on the back of a solid second at Fakenham and a 1lb nudge up in the ratings shouldn't prevent him from going close once more. Koenigsstern is unexposed in this sphere and he cannot be ruled out either.

It's hard to split the top 3 but the vote goes to VOCITO, who had shown only fair form at best over fences for previous connections but is open to significant improvement given the level of form he's since shown back over hurdles. Koenigsstern produced a promising first effort in this sphere on return at Fonwell recently, so he's marginally preferred to Nevendon for the forecast spot.

Preference is for the consistent NEVENDON who got off the mark over fences at Southwell last month. Koenigsstern is next best.
Class & Speed Card

VAGUELY ROYAL is a useful performer on the level and got off the mark on his second attempt over hurdles at Wincanton last month. Freddie Gingell takes a valuable 3lb off, which will aid his cause against his likely main rival Inside Man, who is expected to be sharper following his return to action. Sain Et Sauf is preferred to Joker Jack in the battle for third.

VAGUELY ROYAL probably has greater scope for further improvement than fellow winner Inside Man and is preferred in what will likely develop into a straight fight between the pair.

This has the look of a straight match and VAGUELY ROYAL would be conceding 6lb to Inside Man in a handicap.
Class & Speed Card

ANOTHER DAY OUT went close to gaining a second victory over fences when beaten a nose at Ludlow and the six-year-old has been found an excellent opportunity to go one better. Faha Belle is entitled to improve from her chasing debut when fourth at Sedgefield, although she will need to jump better on this occasion. Others to consider include Northern Reel and Shesupincourt.

FAHA BELLE has a background in points and looked more at home switched to chasing when fourth at Sedgefield last time. This stiffer track and longer trip is in her favour, so she gets the nod over Another Day Out, who found one too good at Ludlow last time. Northern Reel is another one worthy of respect.

This can go to ANOTHER DAY OUT who has taken well to chasing, winning at Huntingdon in May and running well at Ludlow last time.
Class & Speed Card

The fitting of a first-time visor enabled a career-best victory from MAGICAL ARTHUR when coming home 11 lengths clear of his nearest pursuer at Kempton recently. A 7lb penalty may not be enough to stop the Jennie Candlish-trained six-year-old from going in again and he's taken to continue his upward trajectory. Bella Cavalla has filled the runner-up berth on her last two outings and she may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Chancellorstown.

Another small field to close the card and MAGICAL ARTHUR is selected to make it 3 wins in his last 4 starts. His conditional negates a 7 lb penalty he picked up at Kempton last week, so he's fancied to continue his progress at the expense of Bella Cavalla, who found just one too strong over C&D 4 weeks ago and may have to settle for silver again with Harry Cobden an eye-catching jockey booking.

The progressive MAGICAL ARTHUR is in fine fettle and can defy a welter burden. The big danger is Bella Cavalla.
Class & Speed Card

JACK SPRAT was in danger of being tailed off on his fencing bow at Wetherby, so it was to his credit that he was able to plug on for a fair fifth. Jamie Snowden's charge has been eased 1lb for his troubles and, given that the rise to 3m should suit, it would come as no surprise were he to step forward. Getupearly had been consistent over fences prior to unseating at Wincanton last time so he can be in the mix, while Johnny B appeals most of the remainder.

While cases can realistically be made for each member of the quintet, MOORLAND RAMBLER, a winner over hurdles here in 2023, is the clear pick from a handicapping standpoint. Indeed, he was fourth in this race 12 months ago on his sole previous try over this trip and is 12 lb lower in the weights this time round. Jack Sprat made an encouraging enough start over fences at Wetherby and he is second choice ahead of Getupearly.

Off a lowly mark, GETUPEARLY (nap) can land his first chase win. Jack Sprat is second best.
Class & Speed Card

DOMINIC'S FAULT went agonisingly close on his return at Carlisle last month, having travelled notably well throughout that contest, and the drop back in trip is unlikely to be a problem for Olly Murphy's gelding. Rumoursareflying enters the reckoning on his handicap bow, while Ballybreeze is likely to be of interest on his first run since last November because he is 12lb lower over hurdles than he is over fences.

The vote goes to DOMINIC'S FAULT, who was just worried out of it when returning to action on his handicap debut at Carlisle and there should be better to come from this unexposed 7-y-o. Wise Guy showed more than his finishing position would suggest on his reappearance at the aforementioned Cumbrian venue and he is feared most. Handicap-debutants Rumoursareflying and King Ottokar are others with a chance.

Dominic's Fault is respected but preference is for RUMOURSAREFLYING on his handicap debut after an encouraging reappearance.
Class & Speed Card

The strength of Seymourjohn's point-to-point success has yet to truly be tested and although he is an obvious contender, MALDINI MILANO should take all the beating. Paul Nicholls' gelding was picked up for 80,000 euros in June of last year and looks to have been found an ideal opening on his debut. Sure To Be Sure struggled on his racecourse bow at Newton Abbot and will need considerable improvement.

MALDINI MILANO is bred to need further but should have enough ability to make a winning debut. Point-winner Seymourjohn is the obvious danger.

This looks best left to MALDINI MILANO, whose dam was useful and he cost 80,000euros.
Class & Speed Card

A taking winner on his nursery debut at Wolverhampton earlier in the month, SAXON RAIDER is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming and he can follow up off 8lb higher. Reddeef holds strong claims on the back of a career-best effort when second at Kempton, while Worthington Lake must be of interest off what looks a workable mark on her handicap bow.

SAXON RAIDER had plenty in hand at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago and can make light of an 8 lb rise. On Key shaped well on 2 of his 3 qualifying runs and might be the one to give Charlie Johnston's charge most to think about ahead of Reddeef.

Julie Camacho's ON KEY appeals as an improver now going into nurseries so this close relative to the high-class Shaquille gets the vote
Class & Speed Card

Having left behind her previous efforts in defeat when justifying favouritism on her nursery bow at Chelmsford recently, MANARA rates as one to keep the right side of. The daughter of Camelot scored with something up her sleeve and she may make light work of a 6lb penalty. Pure Artistry is a potential improver up in distance and she could give the selection most to think about, ahead of the first-time visored Perfect Parole.

It's hard to ignore the allure of MANARA, who won with more in hand than the margin of victory suggest when landing a gamble on her nursery debut at Chelmsford and she should have more to offer. Hock Eye The Noo has yet to trouble the judge but it's still early days and, in good hands, she may well be capable of better than she has shown to date. Sol Argent is most interesting of the remainder.

The way that MANARA won last week, she looks capable of defying a penalty and perhaps going on to better things.
Class & Speed Card

Despite running green, FLIGHTOFTHEPHOENIX very nearly got her head in front on her Kempton introduction and she looks capable of gaining compensation with improvement likely. Zanzoun didn't quite build on her excellent debut second at Newmarket when third as the even-money favourite at Yarmouth, but she is still a leading contender, as is newcomer Courtly Queen, who is a half-sister to French 1000 Guineas winner Castle Lady.

An interesting maiden. ZANZOUN gets the vote with the return to 7f in her favour. Flightofthephoenix displayed promise when second on her debut and should go well, while there are also a few likely types among the newcomers, headed by Godolphin's Courtly Queen and the selection's stablemate Naga.

The Gosdens' ZANZOUN shaped really well when a Newmarket second before going too freely when third over 1m at Yarmouth so gets the vote
Class & Speed Card

Layla Liz overcame her inexperience when making a winning debut at Leicester last month and she must enter calculations in her bid to complete a double. However, a 7lb penalty could be enough to thwart Archie Watson's filly on her all-weather bow and MAE AMOR shades the verdict. The daughter of Mehmas arrives on the back of a staying-on third over 5f at Southwell and she looks worth another go over today's 6f distance. Be An Angel and Tabby are also noted.

TABBY has been going the right way in her 3 starts to date, only narrowly denied by a fellow improver at Southwell on her latest outing, so she could be ready to get off the mark this time around. She is taken to see off the challenge of Layla Liz, who was able to make a winning debut despite greenness, with Be An Angel also worth another chance.

Tabby holds a leading chance provided her latest effort is backed up but an interesting alternative is BE AN ANGEL.
Class & Speed Card

Not beaten too far on each of his last four starts, including twice over C&D, MIDNIGHTATTHEOASIS deserves a change in luck and he may get that in what looks like an open contest. Phil McEntee's charge is narrowly preferred to Kodebreaker, who has scored twice during a busy 2024 and is dropping back down the weights. Completing the shortlist are Absolute Dream, Magic Fluke and Stoneacre Girl.

In a contest where few arrive with compelling claims ABSOLUTE DREAM gets the nod having dipped to only 1 lb above the mark he defied over C&D in the spring. Kodebreaker is a pretty solid operator at this level and is second choice. The William Haggas-trained Fariha could also have a say if blinkers help her to recapture the form she showed when placed over C&D in August.

This could rest between C&D scorers KODEBREAKER and Absolute Dream with preference for Michael Herrington's handily-weighted 5yo
Class & Speed Card

Fiorella Princess built on her promising second-placed debut at Doncaster when opening her account at Chelmsford last month. Another bold bid looks likely from Amy Murphy's charge, but OASIS SUNRISE makes slightly more appeal in receipt of 7lb. The Bated Breath filly lost all chance after being badly hampered at the Essex venue recently and she could put that eighth-placed mishap behind her judged on previous exploits. Market support for newcomer Miss Cartesian would be interesting.

Only a handful of these make any serious appeal, FIORELLA PRINCESS taken to follow up her recent Chelmsford success under a penalty with further improvement on the cards. Debutante Miss Cartesian heads up the dangers for Ralph Beckett, with Oasis Sunrise, who is easily the most experienced of these, completing the shortlist.

Easily the most appealing contenders are Chelmsford winner FIORELLA PRINCESS and interesting debutante Miss Cartesian.
Class & Speed Card

LAURA'S BREEZE returns to her optimum distance on the back of finishing runner-up over 6f at Newcastle. Successful over C&D in March, the daughter of Ribchester can resume winning ways off this 8lb lower mark. Available Angel finished a solid third at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago and rates a threat on that evidence, while the veteran Reputation can also get involved with a clear passage having run into trouble on his last couple of starts.

REPUTATION arrives on the back of a few good efforts on Wolverhampton's tapeta and might prove the answer to the second division of this handicap. The return to 7f will suit Laura's Breeze and she's second choice ahead of Tenyatta, who is back on a winning mark if a break has had a reviving effect.

It could be worth siding with TENYATTA to capitalise on a winning mark after a break and continue the fine form of the James Owen team
Class & Speed Card

GOOD BANTER improved from first to second start to score comfortably over C&D last time out, and a 4lb penalty for that success may not be enough to prevent him from going in again. Naana's Sparkle arrives with similar claims after scoring over 6f at Chelmsford and she is likely to have more improvement forthcoming, while Stage Winner looks to be the pick of the newcomers for connections that know how to ready one.

GOOD BANTER won well here 8 weeks ago and looks promising, so he can follow up. The dangers could be the newcomers, Stage Winner and The Quiet Gent a couple of the notable ones.

The form pick is C&D winner GOOD BANTER, while Stage Winner is a particularly interesting type among the newcomers.
Class & Speed Card

La Pulga can go well and will likely set a decent pace, but he looks vulnerable to a strong finisher and WONDER LEGEND fits the bill. The four-year-old was doing his best work in the closing stages when third over 1m4f here last month and this extra test of stamina should play to his strengths. Cardano won at Chelmsford during the summer and can feature once again, while Red Flyer drops down in distance with a shout and is preferred to Damascus Steel in this grade.

WONDER LEGEND is still relatively unexposed and shaped better than the result when third here last time, staying on from an unpromising position. Up in trip, he can find enough improvement to defy this mark and get the better of the likes of La Pulga and Damascus Steel.

The vote goes to WONDER LEGEND who didn't enjoy the rub of the green when a very good third here last time out and now steps up in trip
Class & Speed Card

TRUE PROMISE continues to go from strength to strength and going back up to 6f should not inconvenience as he looks to land the hat-trick for his in-form connections. That may be at the main expense of Chief Mankato, who has got the hang of things since joining the Jack Channon stable and went very close on each of his last two starts on the all-weather. Newcastle winner Fiscal Policy and Many A Star are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

A very competitive sprint handicap for the time of year, with the admirable TRUE PROMISE taken to land the hat-trick. Aberama Gold and Many A Star are just a couple of the dangers.

This looks open. The two suggestions against the field are the lightly raced and interesting contenders TAN RAPIDO and Rizg.
Class & Speed Card

A winner at Ripon in August, JE NE SAIS QUOI was having her first start since when finding the competition too hot in a competitive sprint at Doncaster last month. This looks more her level and the daughter of Dandy Man is taken to put in a bold bid on her all-weather debut. Dashing Harry made a solid start for his new trainer when fourth over C&D and is one to consider, while The Coffee Pod enters calculations having won off this mark at York in July.

This looks wide open but JE NE SAIS QUOI ran well from out of the weights at Doncaster last time and the make up of this track should suit her style, so she gets the nod ahead of The Coffee Pod, who was runner-up at Nottingham last time. Dashing Harry is one of several others for whom a case can be made.

Richard Hannon's THE COFFEE POD (nap) signalled he is ready to strike again when runner-up at Nottingham so looks the way to go.

Turned out again quickly after a highly creditable effort when looking to land the double over C&D last Friday in an apprentice handicap, BEAUZON can bounce back to winning ways with jockey Charles Bishop back in the saddle. Runner-up over 5f here last time out, Alafdhal seems the type that may improve for going back up in trip, whereas White Umbrella remains on the same mark as when scoring over C&D in April.

SMASHER thrived here earlier this year and could get back on the up after his Kempton return. Beauzon and Alafdhal are keeping busy and can go well again. Caesars Pearl is another to consider.

The 6yo ALAFDHAL keeps knocking on the door and it might just open this evening now he returns to his most-winning trip.
Class & Speed Card

Fortunate Star has been kept busy lately and he looks more than capable of maintaining his good level of form, but the vote goes to LIV LUCKY. Dropped to the minimum trip over C&D in September, Roy Bowring's mare won going away and should she arrive in similar heart, a 4lb rise might prove lenient. Kyber Crystal is another to consider.

FORTUNATE STAR has been in good order at this track lately and looks the most solid proposition. Last-time-out C&D winner Liv Lucky remains with handicapping scope and should feature, while Marcus is likely to give his running again.

The consistent Fortunate Star looks sure to be thereabouts but KYBER CRYSTAL finished ahead of him at Catterick last month.
Class & Speed Card

VINCE LOMBARDI was narrowly beaten at Kempton on his debut for Jim Boyle's yard. He can regain the winning thread off his current mark on that evidence with Rossa Ryan taking over the reins. Bluelight Bay has a bit to find to find with the selection on latest running, but can still have a say in proceedings, while Cancan In The Rain also commands respect in this grade and is preferred to Vibrato.

BLUELIGHT BAY returned to form when third at Kempton last time, finishing well having been caught further back than ideal, and he can resume winning ways if stall 12 doesn't prove too troublesome. Vince Lombardi made an encouraging start for his new yard in the same race, finishing a place in front of the poorly-positioned selection, and he can figure if building on that. State Flag is another to note.

Off a workable mark and with Rossa Ryan booked, VINCE LOMBARDI is taken to record a first AW win. Bluelight Bay is second pick.
Class & Speed Card

Classic Encounter sets the standard with an official rating of 78 and he will appreciate a drop in class, although Groovy Baby does not have much to find, especially in receipt of 5lb, and ought to be a real threat. However, preference is for RUNNING SPIRIT. No match for a 98-rated rival at Kempton in August, she is open to more improvement than the aforementioned pair and this does not look as deep as her two previous assignments. Twisting Physics is another to consider.

RUNNING SPIRIT stepped up on her debut when runner-up at Kempton last time and a repeat performance may be enough to go one better for all that Classic Encounter is closely matched on form. Groovy Baby is next on the list.

Classic Encounter has solid claims but RUNNING SPIRIT bumped into a good one last time and she can improve again.
Class & Speed Card

SIMIYANN found life tough in a competitive contest at Kempton last time, but this lower grade is more his level. A dual winner at this venue, Ian Williams' charge returned an easy winner when last successful and may prove hard to beat. The bumper winner Little Peter opened his account in this code when scoring at Newcastle and another good account looks assured, while Caustic is worth a second glance stepping up in trip after placing at Southwell.

CAUSTIC was comprehensively outpointed by the winner when second at Southwell last month but he is well worth a try over this trip. Owen Burrows' charge earns preference ahead of Little Peter and Alrazeen.

Back at this course, SIMIYANN (nap) is taken to defy a career-high mark. Little Peter is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

There has been no stopping HK FOURTEEN of late and he completed his hat-trick at Newcastle last time out. A further 6lb rise might underestimate the progressive four-year-old and he is fancied to continue his upward trajectory. First Company was on target at Kempton earlier this month and is of interest in the hands of 7lb claimer Mason Paetel. Others to note include Arlecchino's Gift and War Memorial.

HK FOURTEEN hasn't looked back since dropped to sprint distances and a 6 lb rise for his cosy Newcastle success is unlikely to be enough to stop him in his tracks. Arlecchino's Gift has been in good order of late and looks set for another leading role, while War Memorial shouldn't be far away if taking to this surface and recent Kempton winner First Company is also accorded respect.

First Company makes some appeal but HK FOURTEEN is unbeaten since switched to sprinting and can bring up the four-timer.
Class & Speed Card

KHANGAI broke his duck on the all-weather when successful over today's distance at Southwell. He can effectively race off a lower mark with an apprentice's 7lb allowance taken into account and can go in again with James Owen's yard in fine form. Ocean Ridge has been hurdling since landing a classified race here back in March and can have a say in proceedings, while the recent Newcastle winner Keen Interest makes more appeal than Zooks.

KHANGAI resumed winning ways at the second time of asking for this yard when landing a 16-runner Southwell handicap last month. He is taken to follow up here, perhaps at the chief expense of Ocean Ridge, who put in a good shift when third over hurdles at Newton Abbot last time and he was a C&D winner on his latest start in this sphere. Harlington is third on the list, with Keen Interest best of the rest.

The returning OCEAN RIDGE has gone well when fresh in the past and he could be worth chancing.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
