WEST OF BALLY has shown promise in a point-to-point and a hurdle, and now drops to a winnable maiden. Runner-up at Loughrea before selling for 26,000 pounds, he disappointed in a Listowel bumper in September but didn't run badly in a smart Galway maiden hurdle last month when finishing just behind King's Bucks, who was subsequently placed at Grade 2 level. Butch Coolidge, out of top racemare Solerina, has been well beaten in two hurdles, but performed well in a smart Cork bumper in August and should progress. Grey Gardens has a useful pedigree and is open to some progression.

Not much worthwhile form to go on. Eric McNamara may have the solution with WEST OF BALLY, whose Galway fifth was quite promising.

Not the deepest of contests and it might pay to side with the lightly-raced five-year-old BURNING IT UP. Recent efforts wouldn't necessarily point towards a step up to this extended 3m suiting, but his pedigree offers some hope and Dominic Hislop removing a handy 10lb is no bad thing either. Be The Difference arrives following a couple of positive efforts and must enter calculations, while Victory Club is another to consider.

A modest opener. Be The Difference has claims but with this sharp track suited to front-runners, the tentative pick is VICTORY CLUB.

KMIL DU SEUIL was pulled up in a Grade 1 in April but is surely better than that, having finished third in a smart French AQPS maiden in June 2023. Thrown in at the deep end when struggling at Fairyhouse, her jumping was poor but she now wears a tongue-tie and should progress. Torps was third in a useful Listowel contest in September and ran well at this venue last month. He is race-fit and dependable, but is vulnerable to a smart type. Dual point-to-point winner Justatan, a 74,000-euro purchase in April 2024, returned following a 575-day layoff at Wexford last month and should improve from the run.

A consistent sort who was runner-up over C&D last time, TORPS (nap) can go one better for his local yard.

Second in an Irish point-to-point before winning on his Rules debut at Ffos Las in January, GIANTSGRAVE can make a seamless transition to hurdles. The son of Walk In The Park wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary but that bumper success is the best form on offer, and the Skeltons could hardly be in better form. Harry Cobden arrives for just two rides so it will be interesting to see how Jeriko Place fares, especially given that he will appreciate a switch to timber. Cinquenta heads the remainder.

Ffos Las bumper winner GIANTSGRAVE is held in some regard given Dan Skelton's complimentary bulletin in his recent Stable Tour.

Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore saddle two, with Golden Point possibly their leading hope. Frisby, however, shaped as if in need of a step up in trip at Perth and now afforded just that, he could be a bigger threat.

Tricky. FRISBY is back on his correct mark after competing from out of the handicap at Perth, so receives the vote over I Wish You.

CARRY ON HEIDI has been busy recently and drops in distance, but ran well in a Listed race last time. A dual point-to-point winner, she had Music Of Life six and a half lengths back in fifth in Clonmel and although 9lb worse off, she ran well at Cork subsequently and will be suited by testing ground. Doyen Magic finished behind two nicely-in rivals over fences at Clonmel and is rated 5lb lower in this sphere, so should compete. She's On Line and recent course winner Run For The Border could also figure.

The versatile filly BHEAN SAIBHRE should be in good shape for her return to hurdling almost seven weeks after a good Flat run

GETAWAY KING largely struggled when trained in Ireland but having moved to Fergal O'Brien, he wasted no time in opening his account. The seven-year-old has been raised 4lb for that Fontwell success but with an experience edge over each of his rivals, he looks to have been found another fine opportunity. Diamond Days and Jorah should both appreciate a switch to fences but, even so, may struggle to topple the selection.

The lightly raced JORAH has a pedigree to suggest he could be much better over fences than he was over hurdles.

Point-to-point winner Solid Performer makes his debut under Rules as a seven-year-old and market support would be noteworthy.

The choice is EAGLES REPRIEVE, who is bred to stay well and should improve on his three previous hurdle runs now stepped up in trip.

Kingdom Calling and Nazine are others to consider.

Although TRIPLE CROWN TED didn't manage to justify favouritism on his jumping bow over track and trip, there was still plenty of encouragement to take from that third-placed effort. Lance Les Des is also of interest.

Two-time bumper runner-up TRIPLE CROWN TED was third on last month's hurdle debut over C&D and this looks a good opportunity.

GAELIC DES CHASTYS has won twice since joining Eric McNamara last year, including on his penultimate start over fences at Listowel. He again shaped well over C&D last time when beating all bar Rhythmic Tune and remains on a competitive mark. Maciver handled heavy ground well when completing a four-timer earlier this year, including a hurdle and chase win at this venue. It will be interesting to see how strong he is in the market following an eight-month break, while Perfectway and Johnny Cakes are others to consider. The latter should benefit from his reappearance at Galway last month.

Having looked to get tired late on at Galway on return, JOHNNY CAKES can improve enough from that to score

Followcato didn't get very far on his chasing debut and is turned out quickly in a bid to make amends. Risk De Pluie showed an aptitude for fences during his first campaign over them, but STAR OF DIAMONDS might be better treated. Emma Lavelle's six-year-old didn't quite fulfil expectations in a three-race hurdles stint, but he beat the useful Taponthego in an Irish point-to-point so is expected to come into his own in this discipline. Sean Bowen sticks with Eureka Creek after partnering her into third over timber at Bangor.

Winning Irish pointer STAR OF DIAMONDS is taken to get off the mark on his chase/handicap debut. Immortal Fame is next best.

Although facing a stiffer task MAGNOLIA (nap) is taken to follow up last month's C&D win. Joltin N Jiving is next best.

MOSSY WAY beat all bar the smart Koktail Brut on debut at Fairyhouse and again advertised his claims when fourth behind Le Labo in a Thurles bumper that has produced a list of subsequent winners. Tip Of The Wings is an obvious threat having won a point-to-point in decisive fashion at Daramona House in March and was sold the following month at Aintree for 95,000 pounds. Lord Lackendarra has plenty of experience and showed some promise on a number of occasions, including when third at Tramore this summer.

Debut point winner TIP OF THE WINGS appeals most making his rules debut for Gordon Elliott having made 95,000GBP after that win.

Prince Quattro went agonisingly close on his Flat handicap bow at Southwell and further progress looks likely, but ARCIMBOLDO could be the value. Mike Sowersby's charge was unfancied when third over C&D two starts ago and went under the radar once again at Southwell last time, going down narrowly. The three-year-old has plenty of scope for improvement and this lowly mark looks well within range. Others to note include Different Drum and Educate.

Topweight PRINCE QUATTRO is taken to build on his latest effort and add to his hurdles wins. Different Drum is second pick.

JOREBEL's winning spree came to an end at Plumpton, but he probably bumped into a rival that little bit better handicapped. There was certainly no disgrace in finishing second and Chris Gordon's six-year-old could have more to offer now he goes chasing. No No Fizz was last of three at Fakenham on her chasing bow, but that did come after an absence so better is expected. Rocks Up Late was a solid third at Worcester, but seems to reserve his best for that track. Mutual Respect occupied the same position after wind surgery at Bangor and could be the chief threat.

A few with chances in an open race but MUTUAL RESPECT has compiled a solid record over fences and he can improve for his Bangor run.

Jack Callan has won on his last two rides on Unassuming, including at Wolverhampton last month, but the mare was a costly failure on her only previous try at this trip so is passed over in favour of BENACRE. Charlie Johnston's five-year-old has held his form well since a Southwell success and is a 7f specialist. Eldrickjones has slipped to a nice mark and will relish the return to Newcastle, whereas Kullazain isn't proven on the surface but has kept good company.

The vote goes to KING'S LYNN (nap) who is 2lb lower than when beaten a head in a 0-110 contest over C&D in August.

Society Girl went into a few notebooks when a staying-on fourth on her debut in a Yarmouth maiden that should produce winners. Hoseki also made a promising start when third at Newbury, but it is hard not to be swayed by the pedigree of BRILLIANT STAR. The daughter of Cracksman is out of the stable's Irish Oaks heroine Star Catcher, who also won the Ribblesdale, Vermeille and on British Champions Day, and the Gosdens have been known to introduce a smart filly here.

The choice is SOCIETY GIRL who went into a few notebooks after her eye-catching Yarmouth debut.

Ardaddy returned from an absence a different animal, breaking his duck at Southwell last month, and the third has gone close since to give the form a little boost. However, the decision to turn PIT BOSS out again quickly can reap reward because Liam Bailey's gelding was just denied over C&D and competes off the same rating. Law Degree, a good third at Musselburgh recently, has had plenty of racing during his two seasons, yet this is his first appearance on an artificial surface.

Despite a 4lb rise ARDADDY is taken to follow up last month's successful return from 206 days off at Southwell.

The stands side rail has become something of a golden highway on the straight course here and, berthed well in stall 11, HAWORTH STAR could use that to his advantage. A return to the all-weather worked the oracle for KORROOR last time and a 4lb rise looks fair. ALLIGATOR ALLEY lost all chance at the start after his blindfold was removed late last time, but he defeated a few of these over C&D the start prior and may well bounce back. He's not the force of old but Ruth Carr's eight-year-old retains plenty of ability and might be too strong for Blue Lakota, who recorded a narrow C&D triumph recently. Miss Hathaway hit the woodwork at Southwell and is expected to go well from her handy draw.

This can go to ALLIGATOR ALLEY who returned to winning form over C&D last month and had excuses back here last time.
