1st (8) (11/1 -10%)Katie Daniels |
11/1(-10%) | (8) Katie Daniels 11/1, Improved for debut experience when third, beaten 4 1/4l, in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time. Effective around 2 1/2m; a point winner who is progressing over hurdles. Point winner, solid third at Clonmel latest, place claims again if building on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (50/1 -25%)Changeyourstars |
50/1(-25%) | (4) Changeyourstars 50/1, Did too much too soon and set it up for closers when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time. Wears a hood for the first time; point form suggests she should do better under rules but may need more time. Point winner, no impact in a bumper or maiden hurdle, hood added to tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (15/2 +32%)Zanoosh |
15/2(+32%) | (2) Zanoosh 15/2, Needed the run when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Cork on her hurdles return. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground. Her debut form was twice franked at top level, so she could bounce back. Course bumper winner, beaten 41l on hurdles debut, tongue tie on, needs more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (2/1 +27%)Dippedinmoonlight |
2/1(+27%) | (1) Dippedinmoonlight 2/1, Improved from her debut when winning a maiden at Navan over 1m6f by 3 1/4l last time. A point and bumper winner who is likely capable of much better than she showed on her hurdle debut. Point, bumper and Flat winner on latest at Navan, handles soft ground, leading chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (13) (10/3 +26%)Two Pair |
10/3(+26%) | (13) Two Pair 10/3, Improved on bumper form when upped in trip on hurdle debut, finishing second beaten 1 1/2l in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and should come on for the experience. Closing second on hurdles debut at Clonmel, go well if handling this softer ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (16) (200/1 -100%)Shellrunforbriggs |
200/1(-100%) | (16) Shellrunforbriggs 200/1, Outpaced on debut when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Cork last time. Flat-bred but may stay a little further than 2m over hurdles. Modest form in a bumper and maiden hurdle, an unlikely winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (80/1 -60%)Elsa Bay |
80/1(-60%) | (6) Elsa Bay 80/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Sligo last time. Effective at around 2 1/2m and may improve for further in due course. Point winner, fifth in maiden hurdle here on penultimate, excuse latest, may outrun odds. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (11/2 +45%)Soldierstown |
11/2(+45%) | (12) Soldierstown 11/2, Improved from her debut when second, beaten 4 1/4l, in a mares' bumper over 2m2f at Sligo last time. Needs to find more. Well-bred, point winner on testing ground, promise in bumpers, may go well with O'Keefe up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (250/1 -150%)Keep The Head |
250/1(-150%) | (9) Keep The Head 250/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 3m at Wexford last time after a short break. Yet to show anything in bumpers or over hurdles. No impact in four bumpers and a maiden hurdle, seems safe to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (11/4 +8%)Kom Tu Voudras |
11/4(+8%) | (10) Kom Tu Voudras 11/4, From a yard that won this race last year. Bit free and made mistakes but improved for debut experience when third, beaten 29l, in a maiden hurdle at Tramore last time. Effective around 2 1/2m; highly tried early and likely to have much more to come for top connections. Modest fourth in a Tramore maiden latest, hood added to tongue tie, more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (22/1 -238%)Clarnagh Maid |
22/1(-238%) | (5) Clarnagh Maid 22/1, From a yard that has won two of the last five runnings of this race. Improved for debut experience when second, beaten 6l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Tipperary last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground; her bumper form has been franked and she is progressing over hurdles. Better effort on latest, ground and trip queries, place chance if handles conditions. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (15) (50/1 -52%)Mercurial Sea |
50/1(-52%) | (15) Mercurial Sea 50/1, Ran to form but was comfortably held in a mares' bumper over 2m1f at Galway last time after a short break. Needs to find plenty more to feature. Hasn't built on decent Sligo third, unproven on testing ground, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (14) (300/1 -100%)Venturevango |
300/1(-100%) | (14) Venturevango 300/1, Produced a poor effort down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Navan last time. Likely to need more time. Soundly beaten in maiden hurdles at Limerick and Navan, hard to make a case for. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (11) (300/1 -200%)Nothing Da Now |
300/1(-200%) | (11) Nothing Da Now 300/1, Outpaced and produced a poor run when comfortably held in an auction bumper over 2m at Tipperary last time; has it all to do. Huge odds and no show in two bumpers, look elsewhere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (200/1 -203%)Cant Touch This |
200/1(-203%) | (3) Cant Touch This 200/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m6f at Thurles last time. Proven over 3m in points but has plenty to prove at present. Pulled up in both maiden hurdles after long layoff (bled), others make more appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (300/1 -100%)Ida Picked Her |
300/1(-100%) | (7) Ida Picked Her 300/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability and looks likely to need more time. Showed nothing in her first two starts over timber, may need more time. |

Wide-margin point-to-point winner DIPPEDINMOONLIGHT is from a high-class Flat family and can leave behind her poor hurdling debut. Out of a half-sister to 14-time Group/Grade 1 winner Goldikova, Emmet Mullins' five-year-old turned up at coastal Inchydoney on debut and later showed smart bumper form. She jumped dreadfully on her hurdling debut in May, but scored on the Flat last month and remains promising. Kom Tu Voudras finished third in a Fontainebleau bumper in 2023 before pulling up at Grade 1 level on her return in April. She wore a first-time tongue-tie when finishing well held at Tramore last month, although she was clear of the 102-rated fourth. Clarnagh Maid and Two Pair have recent form, while Soldierstown returns following a break.

TWO PAIR shaped nicely at Clonmel last time and should uphold form with Katie Daniels if handling this testing ground

1st (1) (10/1 +29%)I See The Sea |
10/1(+29%) | (1) I See The Sea 10/1, Did plenty early and set it up for a closer, doing best of those racing close to a strong pace when 15l third in a handicap chase over 3m at Hexham last time; effective at 3m but inconsistent. Won at Wincanton in March; step back in right direction at Hexham but needs another today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (33/1 +0%)Sputnik |
33/1(+0%) | (6) Sputnik 33/1, Needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m at Perth last time; returning from a break; effective around 2 1/2m but regressive overall. Two-time chase winner whose mark continues to fall but for good reason. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (11/8 +66%)Emotional Roller |
11/8(+66%) | (5) Emotional Roller 11/8, Ran to form benefiting from a drop in grade and step up in trip when second, beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Sedgefield last time; effective at 3m+ and in good form. Won over C&D in January and ran well on last week's reappearance; he's one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (66/1 -32%)Stonegate |
66/1(-32%) | (8) Stonegate 66/1, Ran poorly when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Sedgefield last time; wears cheekpieces for the first time; yet to take to chasing. 11-race maiden who has been pulled up/tailed off on his four chase starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (2) (6/5 +40%)Wasthatok |
6/5(+40%) | (2) Wasthatok 6/5, Improved on recent form when landing a handicap by 6 1/2l off 94 over 2m4f at Newcastle last time; usually held up; well treated on hurdle form and looks the one to beat. Well beaten in January 2024 on sole previous chase start but easy hurdle win last Friday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (9/1 -200%)Karavomylos |
9/1(-200%) | (3) Karavomylos 9/1, Beaten a length off 94 over 3m at Fakenham last time on his second run after a wind operation; effective at 3m+, suited by a sound surface; jumping can be an issue over fences but has a good mark on hurdle form and can win with better jumping. Returned to form at Fakenham after wind surgery and he could again be thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (22/1 -38%)You Say Its Over |
22/1(-38%) | (7) You Say Its Over 22/1, Outpaced and below form when well beaten in a handicap chase over 3m at Hexham last time; effective at 3m but remains an exposed maiden. Third at Hexham on reappearance but well beaten there since and remains a maiden. |

Emotional Roller was no match for an improving chaser at Sedgefield last week, but still beat the rest fair and square. There will be races in him off this mark, although it might not be this one because WASTHATOK is able to compete off the same figure as when running out an easy victor over hurdles at Newcastle. His one previous attempt at fences didn't go well, but he is more seasoned now. Karavomylos apparently improved for wind surgery to claim second at Fakenham, and Dunworley could be dangerous on his return.

Preference is for C&D winner EMOTIONAL ROLLER, who returned to action with a good second at Sedgefield last Thursday.

1st (1) (6/5 +31%)Kripticjim |
6/5(+31%) | (1) Kripticjim 6/5, Yard won this last year; made a promising hurdling debut when second, beaten 7l in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow, flattening out late after a break. Trainer in form and effective from 2m to 2m4f; steadily progressive and should come on for the experience. Won well in final bumper start and ran creditably behind useful rival on hurdles debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/4 +0%)Loriko |
7/4(+0%) | (3) Loriko 7/4, A bit free and had too much to do but improved when a 4l third in a 4yo hurdle over 2m at Cheltenham last time. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; showed useful form in France with more to come for a top yard. Consistent; ran well behind two useful rivals at Cheltenham last time; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/2 -29%)Reckless Spending |
9/2(-29%) | (2) Reckless Spending 9/2, Outpaced but shaped with promise when third, beaten 9l in a bumper over 2m at Worcester on debut. Needs to find more to feature prominently here. Hurdles debutant who is half-brother to a useful winner in this sphere; should progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (12/1 -9%)Seamoon Story |
12/1(-9%) | (4) Seamoon Story 12/1, £78,000 Sea Moon gelding; half-brother to The Storyteller, a high-class performer over 3m. Placed in a point but faces a tough enough task on debut. Solid second in Irish point; nicely bred and brings potential to rules racing. |

Having posted two creditable efforts in defeat since joining Dan Skelton, compensation could be on the cards for LORIKO. The four-year-old arrives on the back of a decent third at Cheltenham and a repeat of that performance may prove sufficient. Joe Tizzard has his string in fine fettle at present and his Chepstow runner-up Kripticjim may give the selection most to think about, ahead of hurdling debutant Reckless Spending.

Slight preference is for KRIPTICJIM, who represents an in-form stable and remains open to further progress. Loriko is second pick.

1st (7) (1/1 +38%)Le Frimeur |
1/1(+38%) | (7) Le Frimeur 1/1, Made a very promising start when winning a 3m maiden at Nenagh by 7l on debut; holds an outside chance in this company. In this ownership when winning a 3m Irish point by 7l in March; promising. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (7/4 -40%)Knead A Win |
7/4(-40%) | (5) Knead A Win 7/4, Ran to form when 5¼l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Ffos Las on latest run. Trainer in good form; returns from a long layoff with a first-time tongue-tie. Effective between 2m and 2½m and consistent in a short career, expected to remain competitive. Not beaten far at Ffos Las last time and the front two have franked that form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/2 -5%)Douglas Hyde |
7/2(-5%) | (4) Douglas Hyde 7/2, Needed the run on hurdle debut when 18l third in a novice over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Consistent in bumpers and likely to progress further over hurdles, possibly at longer trips. Runner-up in three soft-ground bumpers; third on good ground switched to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (150/1 -127%)Devilsrollthedice |
150/1(-127%) | (2) Devilsrollthedice 150/1, Produced a modest effort when fourth, beaten 16l, in a 3m maiden at Stowlin last time and has plenty to find here. Runner-up in one of his five Irish points but wouldn't be the obvious answer to this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (100/1 -52%)My Boy Aaron |
100/1(-52%) | (6) My Boy Aaron 100/1, Outpaced and never threatened when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las last time. Had been in good form before that; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; consistent in bumpers but has a bit to prove over hurdles. Went off 125-1 for hurdle debut at Ffos Las (2m4f, soft) and trailed in tailed off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (22/1 +12%)Pacman |
22/1(+12%) | (8) Pacman 22/1, Great Pretender gelding; half-brother to Hitman, high-class at 20f. Half-brother to high-class chaser Hitman and he's out of a dual French 2m hurdle winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (125/1 -89%)Devon Blue |
125/1(-89%) | (3) Devon Blue 125/1, Has shown no worthwhile form; cheekpieces applied for the first time; faces a stiff task. Tailed off when unseating last time (80-1) and has no form claims; cheekpieces added. |

LE FRIMEUR was the easy winner of an Irish point-to-point in March and this half-brother to a couple of winners over hurdles is an intriguing contender on his Rules debut. Douglas Hyde, who was consistent in bumpers last season, should be wiser after his hurdles bow at Bangor and looks a key player. The returning Knead A Win has place claims now stepping up in trip with a tongue-tie added.

Le Frimeur (second choice) could be anything but KNEAD A WIN wasn't beaten far behind talented horses in his last race.

1st (8) (3/1 -9%)Kingkong Ciergues |
3/1(-9%) | (8) Kingkong Ciergues 3/1, Ran to form when stepped up in trip and was just caught late by a well-treated rival, beaten 1½l off 94 over 3m here last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m and suited by give in the ground; in good form. Outstayed late on over C&D recently; 2lb higher but has to be in the shakeup again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (11/4 +21%)Lough Nigara |
11/4(+21%) | (10) Lough Nigara 11/4, Ran to form when stepped up in trip back from a break, beaten 3½l off 89 over 3m here last time; effective at 3m, acts on any ground, and is consistent. Recent comeback C&D third augurs well, closely matched with Kingkong Ciergues; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (5/2 +44%)River Vale |
5/2(+44%) | (5) River Vale 5/2, Improved from his debut when landing a handicap by a length off 100 over 2m5f at Thurles last time; capable of getting further. Good mark on chase form and should be tough to beat. Recent Thurles chase winner; first attempt at 3m on hurdles return off 8lb lower mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (14/1 +0%)Jetaway Nana |
14/1(+0%) | (7) Jetaway Nana 14/1, Outpaced and never threatened when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Down Royal most recently; effective from 2m4f to 3m, was consistent until latest, and her mark looks fair. Yet to convince in handicaps, never sighted at Down Royal latest; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (12/1 -9%)Gather Yourself |
12/1(-9%) | (11) Gather Yourself 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Sligo latest; effective over 2m6f but inconsistent and yet to prove capable off this mark. Mistake at Sligo ended his chances when well-backed; more likely if avoiding serious error. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (16/1 -45%)Duffys Getaway |
16/1(-45%) | (6) Duffys Getaway 16/1, Made mistakes and ran below form when looking in need of further, finishing down the field in a handicap chase over 2m5f here most recently; returning from a long layoff. Progressive 3m handicap hurdler 2023/24 season; back from chasing with ground to suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (20/1 -25%)Where's Frankie |
20/1(-25%) | (2) Where's Frankie 20/1, Below form and looked on a stiff mark when comfortably held in a handicap chase here last time; wears a tongue-tie for the first time and has a bit to find. Loves it here but tends to need his comeback run so likely best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (9) (12/1 +76%)Elusive Prince |
12/1(+76%) | (9) Elusive Prince 12/1, Disappointing on his hurdles return when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Navan most recently; effective at 2m but has been out of form in 2025. Well held over both hurdles and fences of late over various trips; hard to make a case for. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (11/1 -38%)Cullig |
11/1(-38%) | (4) Cullig 11/1, Needed the run and was not given a hard time when fourth, beaten 17l, in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Tipperary latest; usually held up, effective at 3m on soft or good ground, and should come on for the reappearance. Progressive in the spring and entitled to come on for last month's comeback. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (80/1 -100%)Flash Collonges |
80/1(-100%) | (1) Flash Collonges 80/1, Outpaced and outclassed when comfortably held in the BetVictor Champion Chase (Grade 1) over 3m at Down Royal last time; needs to prove his ability remains. Useful sort for Paul Nicholls early in his career but little of late; opposable. |

RIVER VALE has yet to prove himself on heavy ground, but remains unexposed as a lightly-raced nine-year-old. He made a belated debut aged seven but, in May 2023, defeated the now 140-rated Oscars Brother to score at Dawstown. He has been running consistently, scored over fences at Thurles last month, and is 8lb lower than his revised chase figure in this sphere. Course regular Where's Frankie has already scored four times here but although a dour stayer who likes heavy ground, might not be quite as well treated as the selection and wears a first-time tongue-tie. Cullig, Kingkong Ciergues and Lough Nigara have recent form.

Outstayed late by a well-handicapped rival over C&D early this month, KINGKONG CIERGUES can go one better

1st (5) (15/8 +73%)Indian River |
15/8(+73%) | (5) Indian River 15/8, Ran to form when beaten 5l in a maiden over 12f at Roscommon last time; returns after a short break and looks a value selection based on the balance of his form. Showed promise in two Flat maidens in Ireland and brings potential to hurdle/stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (9/4 -181%)Turenne |
9/4(-181%) | (2) Turenne 9/4, Improved up in grade when beaten 6l in a Listed hurdle over 2m2f at Auteuil last time; effective at 2m and handles softer ground; well treated on these terms based on his French form. French winner who has strong claims under penalty now back down in grade on yard debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/1 -69%)Genbu |
11/1(-69%) | (1) Genbu 11/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 8 1/4l in a juvenile hurdle over 2m1f at Sedgefield last time; effective at 2m on good ground, and flat form suggests he'll handle softer conditions; the form of that win looks weak. One win from his seven hurdle starts, and that was fortunate; vulnerable under 7lb penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (9/4 +44%)Explode |
9/4(+44%) | (4) Explode 9/4, Found nil when finishing down the field in a handicap over 10f at Newbury last time; flat winner is a potential threat if bouncing back to form. Tailed off on Flat on stable debut but useful form previously; could have a part to play. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (150/1 -500%)Stitching Wheel |
150/1(-500%) | (7) Stitching Wheel 150/1, Found nil when well beaten in a handicap over 12f here last time; moderate efforts in Jersey, France, and the UK so far, with all to prove now switched to hurdles. Early unseat when 33-1 for hurdle debut and since tailed off on the Flat here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (80/1 -400%)Red Scarlet |
80/1(-400%) | (6) Red Scarlet 80/1, Ran to form when beaten 9l in a handicap over 8f at Galway last time; returns from a break and has plenty to find at this level. Eight-race maiden on Flat who has been regressive this year; best watched on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (3) (12/1 +14%)Division Day |
12/1(+14%) | (3) Division Day 12/1, Ran to form when second, beaten 1 1/2l in a handicap over 1m6f at Redcar last time; needs to find plenty more to feature here. Progressive at an ordinary level on the Flat and yard does well with juvenile hurdlers. |

Genbu already has plenty of experience and a Wetherby win under his belt, while Turenne was beaten less than six lengths in Listed company on his final appearance in France. They have to concede weight to a couple of interesting newcomers to jumping, though, one of which is EXPLODE, who couldn't justify market support on his first appearance for Faye Bramley but is rated 84 on the level and that gets him the nod. Indian River showed ability in a couple of Irish maidens, form which makes him of considerable interest too.

The lightly raced Irish recruit INDIAN RIVER is top of the list on his first run for Adrian Keatley. Division Day is second choice.

Trainer in form; tongue-tie first time. Progressive at 2m in bumpers and hurdles with more to come. Went very close in Grade 2 novice hurdle at Cheltenham on reappearance; major player. |

2nd (3) (11/2 +50%)Red Oak |
11/2(+50%) | (3) Red Oak 11/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 5 1/2l, in a bumper over 2m3f at Kilbeggan last time. Returns from a short break but looks difficult to fancy. Runner-up in Kilbeggan bumpers in last two Irish starts; this looks a harder task. |

11/2(+45%) | (4) Getawhisky 11/2, Promising debut when fourth, beaten 4l, in a novice hurdle at Worcester after being poorly placed in a race dominated from the front. Effective at 2m; should improve for the run and for stepping up in trip. Modest RPR on reappearance but retains potential judged on her bumper form. |

Champion Bumper sixth Idaho Sun impressed when making a winning hurdles bow at Fontwell and merits respect in his follow-up bid. However, a 5lb penalty could leave him vulnerable given the strength of DOCTOR BLUE's form. Sam Thomas' charge ran a cracker to just be denied on his timber debut in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham and any improvement will make him tough to hold out. Red Oak may chase the pair home.

There isn't much between Doctor Blue and IDAHO SUN on hurdles figures but the latter has the clear edge on bumper form.

150/1(-127%) | (11) Tell The Tale 150/1, Bit free and needed the run when well beaten in a maiden hurdle here last time; 3m point winner who looks one for handicaps over further. Pulled up and tailed off in his two runs over hurdles and was 300-1 for the latest. |

33/1(+50%) | (4) Largy Panic 33/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las last time and likely to need more time. Placed in a point; faded tamely and was pulled up at Ffos Las (2m4f, soft). |

28/1(+30%) | (1) Bel Ombre 28/1, Keen and outpaced, needing the run on hurdle debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle here last time; had been in good form beforehand and may prefer a bit further than 2m. Needed to show more on his recent hurdling debut here when beaten knocking on 50l. |

11th (3) (80/1 +20%)Getaway Sam |
80/1(+20%) | (3) Getaway Sam 80/1, Unseated in a novice hurdle here last time; trainer in good form; may appreciate a bit further than 2m over hurdles. Unseated early (hampered) on recent hurdle debut here when 150-1. |

Razors Edge, a 100,000-euro purchase as a three-year-old, warrants a betting check on his racecourse bow. A half-brother to Grade 1-winning hurdler My Drogo, the son of Walk In The Park has plenty going for him on paper, despite having already undergone wind surgery. However, LASKO DES OBEAUX was second to a promising type (subsequently sold for 250,000 pounds) in an Irish point-to-point in March and could be well placed to make a winning debut under Rules. Necronaut and Doctors Hill appeal most of those with hurdles experience.

Lasko Des Obeaux and Razors Edge are hugely respected but DOCTORS HILL sets a fair standard.

Bumper winner, 1-9 and rated 133 over hurdles, bred to make a chaser, no forlorn hope. |

125/1(-25%) | (2) Attaboyarchie 125/1, Below form after being made too much use of when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time; faces a tough task on chase debut. 0-20 under Rules, rated 105 over hurdles, off since April, best watched in first chase. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (1) (100/1 -150%)Alpesh Amin |
100/1(-150%) | (1) Alpesh Amin 100/1, Made mistakes and ran poorly on chase debut when well beaten in a novice event over 2m2f at Galway last time; effective at around 2½m and prefers plenty of cut; may need more time to progress over fences. 123 rated hurdler, 33-1 and no show on chase debut latest, others appeal more. |

TAREZE was defeated by a smart stablemate on her chase debut and is capable. The winner of a Listed hurdle in February, she concluded last season with a fourth-placing at Grade 1 level before returning last month. Although well held by July Flower, the winner scored at Grade 2 level subsequently and Henry de Bromhead's six-year-old is ideally suited by conditions. Kiss Will debuts over fences and while he might ideally prefer further and has yet to race on heavy ground, he also scored at Listed level over hurdles at Perth in April. Sandor Clegane is frustrating and although Grade 1-placed over hurdles and only 10 lengths behind Fact To File in fourth in the 2024 Brown Advisory, is winless in seven chases.

Henry De Bromhead's mare TAREZE gets weight from her rivals, is race fit and should go close on ground she'll relish

1st (2) (13/8 +46%)Heather Honey |
13/8(+46%) | (2) Heather Honey 13/8, Ran to form when beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last time, having shown good form prior. Effective at 2m6f but ideally wants 3m. Her spring form was strong and she had been progressive until that latest run. 5l sixth of 12 in Aintree Class 3 last time; could be a contender now back down in grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (9/1 +0%)Bollin Neil |
9/1(+0%) | (5) Bollin Neil 9/1, Scored by 1/2l off 56 over 1m6f here on his penultimate start and ran to form when fifth, beaten 4l off 59 last time. Trained by a top course trainer and poses a genuine threat again at favoured venue. Both hurdle wins have come over C&D; won twice on the Flat here last month; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (10/3 -21%)Princesse Milania |
10/3(-21%) | (8) Princesse Milania 10/3, Improved again when dropped in trip, winning a handicap by 3 1/4l off 90 over 2m5f at Wetherby last time. Effective from 2m5f to 3m and acts on good to soft and good ground. Progressive and still looks on a fair mark with more to come. Made it two wins in a row when scoring on yard debut; could still be ahead of the h'capper. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (15/2 +17%)Poetry Man |
15/2(+17%) | (7) Poetry Man 15/2, Unseated in a handicap chase here last time when going very well; returning from a long layoff. On the balance of form, he rates as the pick of the field off lenient mark based on chase efforts. Jumping issues over fences but won here two starts ago; not ruled now back over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (11/2 +21%)You Some Girl |
11/2(+21%) | (1) You Some Girl 11/2, Scored by a neck off 103 over 2m7f at Uttoxeter three starts back, having improved since switching to fences. Won a beginners' chase at Newcastle last time and is suited by 3m on good ground, though a revised mark will demand more. Won this last year; 19lb higher this time around but has won two of her last three starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (13/2 -30%)Geordie Night |
13/2(-30%) | (6) Geordie Night 13/2, Improved after a wind operation when fitted with a first-time tongue tie, landing a handicap by a head off 95 over 2m7f at Uttoxeter. This is his second run after that surgery; effective at 3m, acts on good ground and generally consistent. Got off the mark at Uttoxeter in May and in the mix if fully tuned up on this return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (50/1 -257%)Our Sam |
50/1(-257%) | (3) Our Sam 50/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Cartmel last time after a short break. Effective at 3m and prefers some cut in the ground but remains inconsistent in his performances. Dropping down the weights but this 9yo has a regressive profile and is winless since 2023. |

Having regained the winning thread on her chase bow at Newcastle, You Some Girl merits respect given her upward trajectory. However, the eight-year-old is 7lb higher than her fourth-placed defeat over the smaller obstacles at Perth in late September and she could be worth taking on. PRINCESSE MILANIA is only 6lb higher than her ready triumph at Wetherby and a hat-trick may beckon, while Heather Honey also makes some appeal.

The lightly raced 5yo PRINCESSE MILANIA (nap) made it two wins in a row on her stable debut at Wetherby and can complete a hat-trick.

1st (4) (18/5 +58%)Thomas Mor |
18/5(+58%) | (4) Thomas Mor 18/5, Had every chance but ran below form when up in grade, finishing down the field in the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle over 3m at Cheltenham most recently; returning from a long layoff and holds only a minor chance. Quite a useful hurdler but ran poorly in sole chase attempt (penultimate start). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 +33%)Jet To Vegas |
4/1(+33%) | (2) Jet To Vegas 4/1, A bit free but ran to form on chase debut when second, beaten 3l by a useful rival in a beginners' chase over 2m4f at Perth latest; effective 2–2 1/2m, acts on soft and good; more to come over fences based on Graded hurdle form and should be winning soon. Solid record includes Grade 2 hurdle win; led for long way at Perth on switch to chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (1/2 +25%)Lucky Place |
1/2(+25%) | (3) Lucky Place 1/2, Had too much to do when dropped in trip, finishing fourth beaten 3 1/2l in the Grade 2 Select Hurdle over 2m6f at Sandown latest; top jockey back on board and looks the pick on balance of form. Very useful hurdler who commenced last season with Grade 2 wins at Ascot and Cheltenham. |

Relkeel/Ascot Hurdle winner LUCKY PLACE boasts plenty of high-class form over timber and could be just the sort to excel on his chase bow. Nicky Henderson's charge was comfortably the best of these over the smaller obstacles and is difficult to oppose. Jet To Vegas is rated 16lb inferior to the selection, but last month's first appearance over fences is entitled to bring him on. Beat The Bat ran well in some big handicap hurdles back in the spring.

Assuming his hurdles ability is transferred to fences, LUCKY PLACE sets a very useful standard. Beat The Bat is second pick.

3/1(+33%) | (4) Ben Solo 3/1, Needed the run on chase debut when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m here last time; effective between 2m and 2½m, handles soft and good ground; can do better over fences. Fair hurdler; well held on chase debut here but today's softer ground looks favourable. |

5/1(-11%) | (8) Petty Cash 5/1, Improved up in trip after wind surgery when landing a handicap by 1¼l off 104 over 3m here last time; returning from a long layoff; this is his second run after a wind operation; effective from 2m to 3m and progressing over fences, still well treated on hurdle form. Off since winning over nearly 3m on this card 12 months ago; shorter trip is a concern. |

3rd (6) (9/1 +36%)Genietoile |
9/1(+36%) | (6) Genietoile 9/1, Travelled well and ran to form when second, beaten 5½l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Hereford last time; absent for a long spell but a clear threat if ready to go. Makes chase/handicap debut after a long time out; market should be informative. |

4th (3) (25/1 -39%)Sheldon |
25/1(-39%) | (3) Sheldon 25/1, Keen and made mistakes when below form, comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last time; effective from 2½m to 3m; had been in good form until latest, with jumping an issue recently. Fairly handicapped four-time winner over fences; last season never really got going. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (6/1 -20%)Dartmoor Pirate |
6/1(-20%) | (1) Dartmoor Pirate 6/1, Below form when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Uttoxeter last time; returning from a long layoff but could surprise on chase debut off lenient mark based on hurdle form. Didn't jump great in his previous chase but fairly treated on the pick of his hurdle form. |

6th (5) (22/1 -175%)Astronomic View |
22/1(-175%) | (5) Astronomic View 22/1, Showed promise when third, beaten 7¼l, in a handicap chase here on first completed chase start; returning from a long layoff; effective from 2½m to 3m and fairly treated on hurdle form, though this may be a sharp enough test. Lightly raced chaser and handicapped to have a say if on his game first time back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (5/2 +79%)Castelfort |
5/2(+79%) | (2) Castelfort 5/2, Needed the run on chase debut when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last time; trainer in form and effective at 2m on soft ground; should improve for that initial experience. 3-9 over hurdles; will need to run better than on his chase debut but that's feasible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (22/1 -214%)Juracique |
22/1(-214%) | (9) Juracique 22/1, Below form when well beaten in a 4yo chase over 2m2f at Auteuil last time; absent for a long period; effective at 2m and handles soft ground; fairly treated on her best French form, but has a bit to prove after the layoff. Market can guide on debut for Venetia Williams after a long absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (7) (9/1 -125%)Devon Dude |
9/1(-125%) | (7) Devon Dude 9/1, Well backed and ran to form when second, beaten 1¼l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las last time; open to marked improvement. Competitive over hurdles but went 0-6; chasing could be the making of him. |

Runner-up on his last three starts over hurdles, Devon Dude has been generally reliable and should be capable of going close on his chasing debut. However, PETTY CASH has experience in this discipline and having won when fresh here a year ago, the Henry Daly-trained eight-year-old looks worth chancing on just his fifth outing over the larger obstacles. Astronomic View and Ben Solo are the pick of the rest.

The 6yo BEN SOLO (nap) should be happier under these conditions than on the good ground he faced in his first chase.

2nd (7) (6/4 +25%)Duffys Hodey |
6/4(+25%) | (7) Duffys Hodey 6/4, Ran to form and flattened out late when second, beaten 8l in a 2m7f handicap hurdle at Punchestown latest. Progressive and returning from a long layoff; thrown in on hurdle form and tough to beat. Course winner over hurdles, good second when last seen in Feb', go well if fit after break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (13/2 +28%)Decimation |
13/2(+28%) | (1) Decimation 13/2, May have wanted easier ground when finishing down the field in a 2m7f handicap chase at Killarney last time. Effective from 2½m to 3m and best with cut, but inconsistent overall. 0-8 over fences, below par last twice but this ground more suitable, career low mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (18/1 +36%)Spanish Maid |
18/1(+36%) | (8) Spanish Maid 18/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Punchestown last time. Prefers some cut but remains out of form. Lost way since showing maiden hurdle promise, pulled up first two h'cap chases. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (13/2 -18%)The Little Yank |
13/2(-18%) | (2) The Little Yank 13/2, Ran to form but flattened out late up the hill when comfortably held in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Navan last time. Usually held up and effective at 3m; prefers decent ground and is well treated on old form. Seven-time winner but just one over fences, would probably prefer better ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (16/1 -146%)Kilashee |
16/1(-146%) | (4) Kilashee 16/1, Scored by 11l off 90 over 2m6f at Galway on her penultimate start. Made mistakes and went too fast early when 12th, beaten 69l off 99 last time. Enjoys making the running and remains well handicapped on best form. Won over timber at Galway last month, 9lb lower over fences, testing ground a concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (9/1 +44%)Carlas Big Jim |
9/1(+44%) | (5) Carlas Big Jim 9/1, Never found a rhythm when down the field in a 2m1f handicap chase at Clonmel most recently. Effective around 2½m and prefers some cut, but currently out of form. Two-time hurdles winner, yet to threaten over fences, mark sliding but more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (16/1 -167%)Moonshine Girl |
16/1(-167%) | (9) Moonshine Girl 16/1, Pulled up in a 3m2f handicap chase at Fontwell last time. Probably wants around 3m; a frustrating maiden. Promise at Sligo last month, didn't back it up at Fontwell latest, testing ground a query. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (22/1 +21%)Ivar The Boneless |
22/1(+21%) | (6) Ivar The Boneless 22/1, Fell late on in the Grade 2 Kildress Plumbing Chase over 2m4f at Down Royal last time when beaten. Effective at 2½m but has plenty to prove now. 0-16 under Rules, set hopeless task in Gr 2 latest, this easier but hard to fancy. |

The reappearing DUFFYS HODEY is something of a handicap blot competing over fences for just the second time. It took until last season for him to show worthwhile and consistent form but, in that time, he climbed from a hurdles rating of 81 to 112. He was pulled up on his sole chase start in January 2024 but is better than that, likes soft ground and an experienced 7lb claimer lightens the burden for good measure. Hitthehayson has been running well, but debuts over fences and seems better on a sound surface. Busy stablemates The Little Yank and Kilashee have won 15 races between them and revert from hurdling.

A chance is taken on DECIMATION. He's race-fit, he runs off a career low mark and he'll appreciate the return to testing ground

Bumper winner; only fifth on hurdle debut but reportedly slipped; retains potential. |

50/1(-257%) | (5) Jonquilla 50/1, Raced wide on a modest bumper debut, finishing a 35l fourth in a mares' bumper over 2m at Warwick first time out; returning from a long layoff and difficult to fancy on that evidence. Open to improvement on second start but well beaten at 16-1 in a bumper in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (4/1 -129%)Ring Of Kerry |
4/1(-129%) | (1) Ring Of Kerry 4/1, Improved on bumper form in a first-time tongue tie when winning a maiden hurdle at Wexford over 2m by 1 1/4l last time; effective at 2m, acts on yielding and good ground; Irish win form modest but point win suggests more to come over this longer trip. Point winner who was well-backed when winning on last month's hurdle debut; major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (25/1 +50%)Western Mount |
25/1(+50%) | (4) Western Mount 25/1, Never put into the race on debut when well beaten in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time; likely to need more time to develop over hurdles. Not beaten far on bumper debut in February but tailed off at big odds on both runs since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (11/2 -57%)Mary Stanford |
11/2(-57%) | (6) Mary Stanford 11/2, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Perth last time; effective at around 2 1/2m and handles cut in the ground; debut form has been franked but she needs to prove her ability remains after a break. Pulled up when last seen but a contender if tapping back into previous promise; yard debut. |

SILVER HILL should have learned plenty from his fifth-placed hurdling bow at Fontwell and he's entitled to strip fitter for that first appearance after a 264-day layoff. He just gets the nod over penalised Wexford winner Ring Of Kerry, who is likely to have more to offer. Mary Stanford had excuses when pulling up at Perth and has since joined a new yard.

Patrick Neville is among the winners and the mare MARY STANFORD is taken to make a winning stable debut. Ring Of Kerry is feared.

4/1(+20%) | (4) Neon Moon 4/1, Made too much use of and needed the run when beaten 6 1/4l in the Sodexo Live! Gold Cup over 3m here last time. Effective over 3m on good ground; current mark looks about right. This drop back in trip is worth exploring; 3lb below last winning mark; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (6/5 +60%)Royal Jewel |
6/5(+60%) | (3) Royal Jewel 6/5, Improved down in grade back from a break, winning a handicap by 1 1/2l off 121 at Newton Abbot last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m, suited by softer ground and steadily progressing. Second-season chaser; scored at Newton Abbot on reappearance; may progress further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (13/2 -86%)Lord Baddesley |
13/2(-86%) | (5) Lord Baddesley 13/2, Returned to form after a wind operation, winning a handicap by 18l off 121 over 2m4f at Newbury last time. Now on his second run after the wind op, effective around 2 1/2m on decent ground; needs to confirm that revival. Easy success at Newbury on reappearance, looking as good as ever; enters calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (9/4 +10%)Your Darling |
9/4(+10%) | (1) Your Darling 9/4, Won this race in 2022 and 2023, landing a Clarke Handicap Chase by 3 1/2l off 137 over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time. Trainer in form, effective at 2 1/2m, acts on soft and good ground, goes well at Ascot and best when fresh. 2-2 at Ascot, namely comfortable wins in this race in 2022 and 2023; absent for 18 months. |

Assuming the forecast going doesn't dampen his enthusiasm, LORD BADDESLEY could be tough to overhaul if he steps forward from his facile reappearance win in a three-runner event at Newbury. That was his first start since undergoing wind surgery and, still potentially well treated off 7lb higher, Anthony Honeyball's 10-year-old has a convincing chance of following up. A winner over this trip at Newton Abbot last month, Royal Jewel is another must for consideration, while Sean Bowen reuniting with Courtland makes him shortlist material.

Off an attractive mark back down in distance, NEON MOON gets the vote. Royal Jewel and Your Darling are respected.

9/2(+10%) | (7) High Tea 9/2, Outpaced but improved and looked in need of a stiffer test when fourth, beaten 12l, in a novice hurdle over 2m at Stratford latest. Effective at 2m; form of debut effort is working out well, and as a 3m point winner could improve for further. Not obviously well treated for handicap debut but the longer trip may unlock improvement. |

2nd (10) (40/1 -82%)Analiese |
40/1(-82%) | (10) Analiese 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Exeter latest. Effective at 2m but her current mark demands more. Fourth in Listed fillies' handicap in April but ran very poorly on recent seasonal return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (4/1 +11%)A Perfect Day |
4/1(+11%) | (1) A Perfect Day 4/1, Went clear comfortably for a very promising debut when winning a novice hurdle at Wincanton over 2m5f by 13l last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective at 2m5f and acts on good to soft ground. May have more to offer though the debut form has had some knocks. Won by 13l on rules debut a year ago but not seen since and the form is questionable. |

4th (2) (8/1 -7%)Call Me Legend |
8/1(-7%) | (2) Call Me Legend 8/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 13l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Fontwell latest. Effective at 2m and handles good to soft or good ground. In form, the step up in trip should suit, and he can find a race soon. Shaped with clear promise on both hurdle starts; up in trip for handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (13/2 +13%)Klic Boum |
13/2(+13%) | (11) Klic Boum 13/2, Never threatened and needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Exeter most recent. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m; generally consistent until latest effort. Did not get competitive on seasonal debut and now 0-10 over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (33/1 -313%)Lucky One |
33/1(-313%) | (3) Lucky One 33/1, Had too much to do but made a big effort back from a layoff, beaten 3 1/4l off 109 over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and suited by cut; inconsistent but on a fair mark if building on latest effort. Unreliable nowadays but posted a good effort when third at Newton Abbot last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (12/1 -9%)Moorland Rambler |
12/1(-9%) | (9) Moorland Rambler 12/1, Outpaced but ran to form and looked in need of a stiffer test when fourth, beaten 7l, in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Exeter latest. Trainer in form; effective around 2 1/2m and acts on good ground, though best form is on testing going; inconsistent but on a fair mark. Good fourth at Exeter recently, and there are reasons to believe he can kick on again here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (25/1 -25%)Midnight Ginger |
25/1(-25%) | (5) Midnight Ginger 25/1, Made too much use of and finished lame when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter most recently. Returning from a break; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and probably best with some cut; form had tailed off earlier in the year. Out of form when last seen in spring but likes this track and is well handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (2/1 +20%)Lundi Noir |
2/1(+20%) | (4) Lundi Noir 2/1, Improved when stepped up in trip on handicap debut, just tiring late after a break when 4l third in a handicap hurdle here on latest run. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on decent ground and looks to be progressing. Creditable third of 16 in competitive C&D contest on last month's handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (16/1 +0%)Valens Bruyee |
16/1(+0%) | (6) Valens Bruyee 16/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Ffos Las latest. Effective between 2 1/2m and 3m, acts on heavy and good to soft ground; recent form has been in and out. On workable mark but was pulled up on five of last seven starts; others are less risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (80/1 -220%)Itsnoteasy |
80/1(-220%) | (8) Itsnoteasy 80/1, Produced a poor run when fourth, beaten 63l, in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Leicester latest. Returning from a long layoff. Out of form for Olly Murphy last season and has quite a bit to prove on stable debut. |

LUNDI NOIR did well for one so inexperienced when making the frame in a similar C&D event last month and as that was his first appearance since his successful Market Rasen introduction back in February, he is expected to take the necessary step forward. A Perfect Day made a sparkling hurdling debut at Wincanton a year ago to the day, but he probably didn't beat much and hasn't been seen since. Call Me Legend and High Tea also try handicap company for the first time and might be the bigger threats.

Unexposed 4yo LUNDI NOIR was placed in a big-field C&D handicap on his seasonal debut six weeks ago, and that form reads well.

12/1(+0%) | (8) West Of Carrig 12/1, Went clear but jockey dropped hands late when beaten, having made too much use of him when 3 1/4l third in a 2m6f handicap hurdle at Limerick last time. May contend if ridden more conservatively. 5-13 in points, 0-15 under Rules, beaten off 89 in h'cap hurdle latest, others preferred. |

3rd (2) (6/1 -140%)Fountain House |
6/1(-140%) | (2) Fountain House 6/1, Made mistakes but likes the track and ran to form when winning a hunter chase over 2m4f at Punchestown by 3 1/4l last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m on heavy or good ground and remains competitive if fit. 6-11 in points, 2-4 under Rules, won at Punchestown on latest in May, thereabouts if fit. |

14/1(+13%) | (9) Yewtree Hill 14/1, Ran to form when winning a conditions race at Castletown-Geoghegan by 8l last time. Stays 3m well and can do better. Rated 96 over fences, won third point latest, tongue tie on, very testing ground a query. |

6th (5) (5/1 +50%)Kings Jet |
5/1(+50%) | (5) Kings Jet 5/1, Ran to form when second beaten 6 1/2l in a conditions race at Portrush last time. Has a small chance on that showing. Beat a solid yardstick in a point latest, won at Down Royal in May, heavy ground a worry. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (4/1 +0%)Big Interest |
4/1(+0%) | (1) Big Interest 4/1, Below form when fourth beaten 7l in a conditions race at Curraghmore last time; the yard has won two of the last five renewals of this race. Needs further to be seen at best. C&D winner, strip fitter for latest fourth at Curraghmore, leading contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (50/1 -52%)Grange Soldier |
50/1(-52%) | (4) Grange Soldier 50/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced when below form, possibly finding the ground too quick, well beaten in a 3m5f hunter chase at Downpatrick last time. Effective at 3m with cut but remains inconsistent. Won at Tipperary in May 2024, below best in four runs this year, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (50/1 +0%)Made U Look |
50/1(+0%) | (7) Made U Look 50/1, Below form when well beaten in a hunter chase at Tipperary last time and yet to show any worthwhile ability under rules. Won at Kildorrery in March, heavy defeats since at Cork and Tipperary, watch after break. |

CON'S ROC has his favoured testing ground conditions for this reappearance and represents last weekend's Troytown Chase-winning trainer. Lightly raced, he is a dual point-to-point winner and, at Limerick last Christmas, showed good form to beat Willitgoahead, who subsequently finished third at the Cheltenham Festival, with West Of Carrig third. Big Interest was a wide-margin winner here back in April and although his form can be in-and-out, he is fit from a spin between the flags. The reappearing Fountain House would ideally prefer a sounder surface.

Fountain House should be bang there if fit after his break but he is taken on with the emphatic April C&D winner BIG INTEREST

9/4(+25%) | (5) Sleeping Satellite 9/4, Scored by 1 1/2l off 100 at Stratford on his penultimate start, then ran to form but looked in need of a stiffer test when beaten 9l off 104 last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m, acts on any ground, and remains well treated on his best hurdle form. Arrives in good form and today's step back up in trip may well be a positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/2 +50%)William Cody |
7/2(+50%) | (3) William Cody 7/2, Needed the run when 21l third in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Warwick most recently. Effective at 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground, though his form has been in and out lately. Shaped as though he may have needed comeback run and he's now 1lb below last winning mark. |

3rd (1) (10/1 -100%)Master Breffni |
10/1(-100%) | (1) Master Breffni 10/1, Fell in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Carlisle last time; returning from a long layoff. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m, acts on any ground, and was progressive last term. Goes well at Catterick. Made it two wins in a row when scoring over C&D in February & open to further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (9/1 -80%)Greatness Awaits |
9/1(-80%) | (2) Greatness Awaits 9/1, Below form when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Wexford last time. Effective from 2m to 2 3/4m but has yet to take to chasing and looks on a stiff mark. Won two in a row in the summer but appears to have gone off the boil on his last few runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (9/2 +72%)Empty Nest |
9/2(+72%) | (6) Empty Nest 9/2, Outpaced and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Ayr last time. Effective around 2 1/2m but his mark looks high enough. A return to form is required but he may have needed his comeback; progressive last term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (4/1 -146%)Neigh Botha |
4/1(-146%) | (4) Neigh Botha 4/1, Improved but was a fortunate winner when landing a handicap by 9l off 103 over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time after a late faller. Suited by 2m on good ground and remains in fine form, though flattered by that success. Looked booked for 2nd when left in lead at Bangor but this in-form 8yo is still respected. |

NEIGH BOTHA hasn't looked back since making a winning reappearance at Southwell in early October and a hat-trick could be on the horizon. Although fortunate to be left in the lead at Bangor, a 2lb rise in the weights looks workable and he can confirm form with the reopposing runner-up Sleeping Satellite. The seven-year-old finished nine lengths behind the selection and needs this longer distance to help. C&D winner Master Breffni may fare best of the remainder.

Sleeping Satellite is a tempting option back up in trip but this could go to EMPTY NEST, who was progressive last season.

20/1(-150%) | (5) Trustintimes 20/1, From a yard that has won two of the last ten renewals of this race; travelled well and improved to defy a penalty when winning a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter by 2 1/4l last time; effective at 2m; progressive but the opening mark asks more. Two from two since switched to hurdles, namely wins at Uttoxeter early this season. |

5/2(-54%) | (3) Fortune De Mer 5/2, Improved up in grade at a favoured venue when winning the Oddschecker Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Cheltenham by a short-head last time; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft and soft; may stay further over hurdles, suited by stiff tracks. Can take advantage of lenient opening mark. Took well to first-time hood in Grade 2 novice at Cheltenham most recently; respected. |

14/1(+30%) | (8) Inner Success 14/1, Ran to form when second, beaten 1 1/4l, in a 4yo hurdle over 2m2f at Clairefontaine latest; returning from a short break; progressive on the Flat where useful in Ireland, a winner over hurdles in France; mark looks stiff enough. French challenger who seems to have a difficult task on the figures. |

May resume progress with Fontwell reappearance under his belt; remains of interest. |

5/2(+50%) | (6) Moveit Like Minnie 5/2, A bit free but ran to form when beaten 3 1/4l off 118 here last time; effective around 2m and best on a sound surface; consistent performer though sometimes frustrating. Latest effort enhanced his largely consistent record at Ascot; solid chance off same mark. |

6th (7) (13/2 +35%)Poet Laureate |
13/2(+35%) | (7) Poet Laureate 13/2, From a yard that won this race last year; quickened clear easily and improved from debut down in grade when winning a maiden hurdle at Plumpton by 21l last time; effective at 2m, stays 3m in points, acts on good ground; progressive with a fair opening mark. Made all for wide-margin win in Plumpton maiden last time; may have more to offer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) (3/1 +73%)Manuelito |
3/1(+73%) | (1) Manuelito 3/1, Improved again when suited by a positive ride down in grade, landing a handicap by 4l off 125 over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last time; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft and good ground; progressive type. Scored comfortably at Newton Abbot on seasonal debut, taking hurdles record to 4-10. |

Manuelito made every yard of the running to score in a decisive manner at Newton Abbot and a 5lb higher mark looks fair for the progressive five-year-old. However, it is hard to ignore FORTUNE DE MER dropping in class after a narrow Grade 2 victory in a first-time hood at Cheltenham. With the headgear retained, Dan Skelton's unexposed gelding shades preference based on his potential to shine at this level. Trustintimes and Poet Laureate are other upwardly-mobile options to consider.

Back down in class with the hood retained, FORTUNE DE MER (nap) could well follow up his Grade 2 win. George's Lad is second pick.

7/4(+30%) | (1) Diamond Dealer 7/4, Improved when stepped up in trip under a positive ride on chase debut, landing a handicap by a neck off 108 over 2m7f at Kelso last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, suited by decent ground, and likely to progress further over fences. All out to win at Kelso but only 2lb higher and he might well improve again. |

2nd (6) (9/4 +36%)The Big Reveal |
9/4(+36%) | (6) The Big Reveal 9/4, Ran to form and did well to win as the rider lost irons late, landing a handicap by 3l off 79 at Lingfield last time. Effective over 3m, acts on any ground, and generally consistent. Recent Lingfield winner; carries a penalty in a race that looks sure to take more winning. |

9/4(+44%) | (3) River Voyage 9/4, Needed every yard when dropped in trip but ran to form, landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off 98 over 2m7f at Exeter last time. Returning from a long layoff and looks the pick on the balance of form. 0-2 over fences but has since improved over hurdles; appeals as a strong stayer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (13/2 -30%)Yorgunnabeplucky |
13/2(-30%) | (7) Yorgunnabeplucky 13/2, Ran to form when second, beaten 8 1/2l in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Stratford latest. Effective from 2m to 2 3/4m, acts on good to soft and good ground; progressing over fences and looks well treated off an unchanged mark. First and second in two chases; remains unexposed and lurks on a low weight. |

Joe Anderson lost an iron at a crucial stage, but overcame it to get The Big Reveal home at Lingfield last week. Even under his penalty, he is well treated compared to his hurdles rating, but DIAMOND DEALER should have more to offer. The six-year-old made a successful start to life with Dan Skelton on his chasing debut at Kelso and a 2lb rise may underestimate him. Returning hat-trick seeker River Voyage has to be considered, and Yorgunnabeplucky isn't out of it.

Diamond Dealer has to be feared but ISLE OF GOLD appeals as one with a lot more to offer in staying chases.

11/2(+39%) | (7) Siege Ofjadotville 11/2, Below form off a revised mark, possibly finding the ground too quick when down the field in a 2m2f handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan last time; effective around 2m and prefers some cut; mark demands more but could bounce back on easier going. Won h'cap debut in March, ground possible excuse latest, watch upped in trip after break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (12/1 +40%)Matter Of Opinion |
12/1(+40%) | (6) Matter Of Opinion 12/1, Stopped quickly after a bad error when upped in trip on softer ground, well held in a 3m handicap hurdle at Limerick last time; effective around 2½m, acts on good ground but unproven with cut; struggling in handicaps. Yet to show winning potential over timber, remote fifth latest, more needed off 3lb lower. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (25/1 -79%)Robindevidastar |
25/1(-79%) | (12) Robindevidastar 25/1, Found the mark stiff and was comfortably held in a 2m6f handicap hurdle at Downpatrick last time; effective between 2m and 2½m, acts on any ground; an unreliable veteran. Won on seasonal reappearance last year, 3lb higher now but goes well fresh, can't dismiss. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (40/1 -300%)Teescomponentsyess |
40/1(-300%) | (2) Teescomponentsyess 40/1, Held off a stiff mark when comfortably beaten in a 2m5f handicap chase at Carlisle last time; returns after a long absence; likes to make the running but has a bit to find. Off since March 2024, last won over hurdles in December 2021, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (33/1 0%)Monty's Way |
33/1(0%) | (10) Monty's Way 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Gowran Park last time; effective around 2m on good ground; inconsistent performer. Lost way since Ballinrobe win in May 2024, pulled up latest, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (15) (17/2 +74%)At The Wings |
17/2(+74%) | (15) At The Wings 17/2, Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when down the field in a 2m handicap hurdle at Roscommon last time; returning from a short break; effective at 2m, may stay further, acts on soft and good; more to come in handicaps based on bumper form. No show in maidens or first two handicaps, may need a bit more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (12/1 -20%)Fool Me Once |
12/1(-20%) | (5) Fool Me Once 12/1, Tired late on ground softer than ideal when comfortably held in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Limerick last time; effective from 2m to 2m6f, with good ground likely best; a frustrating maiden. Maiden, best efforts on good ground, beaten 28l on soft latest, a bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (18/1 +28%)Leis Fein |
18/1(+28%) | (14) Leis Fein 18/1, Ran to form when comfortably held in a 2m maiden hurdle here last time; effective between 2m2f and 3m on soft or good ground; inconsistent at a modest level but may be well treated back in a handicap. Veteran shaped OK on return from layoff here latest, go well if this doesn't come too soon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (28/1 -40%)Apologise |
28/1(-40%) | (1) Apologise 28/1, Probably will not stay having finished down the field in a 1m6f handicap at Navan most recently; stiff mark for hurdles return. Struggled off revised rating since back-to-back wins, off since June, on tough mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (66/1 -100%)Garde My Fortune |
66/1(-100%) | (13) Garde My Fortune 66/1, Never threatened when finishing down the field in a 2m3f maiden hurdle at Naas last time; should be effective around 2m4f; could improve handicapping over further but has something to prove. No impact in four maidens on varying ground, watch on h'cap debut unless backed. |

THEMANINTHEANORAK ran well in a recent maiden hurdle and should compete in his first handicap. A useful winner of a good-ground Listowel bumper over this distance back in June, he showed that ability when finishing second to a capable winner over shorter at Clonmel earlier this month. Apologise's most recent form figures are poor, but he scored twice over hurdles last season and likes soft ground. The keen-going On Your Way hasn't raced since winning at Limerick in January, but is also suited by testing conditions.

BLUE REED is 3lb lower than when second over C&D in January and should strip fitter for his latest run so he gets a tentative vote

3/1(+45%) | (3) Aboutdamntime 3/1, Needed the run on chase debut when well beaten in a 2m4f handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee latest. Effective around 2½m, acts on soft ground, though may be on a stiff mark. Only 6 and could take a step forward at some stage, but others have more compelling claims. |

2nd (2) (2/1 +0%)Almazhar Garde |
2/1(+0%) | (2) Almazhar Garde 2/1, Scored by 2l off 120 over 2m7f at Worcester on his penultimate start. Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 1l off 123 last time. Effective at 3m+, and remains well treated on old form. Three wins this year and 1l fourth of six at Carlisle last time; bang there once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (6/5 -44%)Peejaybee |
6/5(-44%) | (1) Peejaybee 6/5, Returned to form after a break when landing a handicap by 2l off 121 over 3m at Southwell last time. Off a short break; effective from 2½m to 3m, suited by good ground, though can throw in the odd shocker. Inconsistent but two wins from last three starts and could play another leading role. |

PEEJAYBEE has been found a very winnable opening as he attempts to supplement his Southwell success. Assertive close home at the Nottinghamshire venue, Mickey Bowen's charge shaped as though there are more races to be won with him, and he might even take a step forward for that first outing since May. Almazhar Garde, like the selection, has won two of his last three starts and heads the list of dangers from Aboutdamntime.

7lb claimer Daire McConville has been in excellent form and he can enjoy yet another winner thanks to ALMAZHAR GARDE.

4/1(+20%) | (5) Montregard 4/1, Overcame trouble and returned to form in a first-time visor when landing a handicap by 3l off 110 over 2m7f at Worcester last time; effective over 3m on good ground and may have more to offer over fences. Took well to visor at Worcester when last seen; the runner-up has boosted that form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (18/1 -13%)Muskoka |
18/1(-13%) | (6) Muskoka 18/1, Outpaced and needed the run when fourth beaten 30l in a handicap chase at Kempton last time; visor on for the first time; effective over 3m on good ground; progressive in the spring but has a bit to prove now. Chance of doubling his tally largely depends on the effects of first-time visor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (7/2 -5%)Vision De Maine |
7/2(-5%) | (8) Vision De Maine 7/2, Well backed but below form up in grade when fourth beaten 13l in a 3m4f handicap chase at Plumpton last time; returning from a long layoff; effective over 3m on soft or good ground but looks on a stiff mark. Record last season suggests this reappearance may be the time to catch him; interesting. |

4th (4) (28/1 -250%)Masters Legacy |
28/1(-250%) | (4) Masters Legacy 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Exeter last time when returning from a long layoff; effective over 3m and suited by a sound surface; inconsistent overall but worth another chance. Not solid on his form last season but has become attractively treated. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (5/1 +50%)Jubilant |
5/1(+50%) | (1) Jubilant 5/1, Ran below form when 18l third in a handicap chase at Kempton last time; effective over 3m on good ground; beat little in his last victory but was consistent before that. Left behind by the first two last time; needs a resumption of progress to defy top weight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (13/2 -63%)Safe Destination |
13/2(-63%) | (7) Safe Destination 13/2, Won by 4l off 105 over 3m2f at Chepstow two starts back; then ran to form when second beaten 2l off 105 at a sharp track; suited by 3m on a sound surface and still improving. Clear second at Kempton last time when bidding for a quickfire double; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (12/1 +14%)Awaythelad |
12/1(+14%) | (3) Awaythelad 12/1, Pulled up in a 3m1f handicap chase at Cheltenham last time; trainer in form; effective from 2½m to 3m and may prefer easier ground; looks on a stiff mark. Has failed to back up the form of his Southwell success in two starts since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (16/1 -33%)The Boola Boss |
16/1(-33%) | (2) The Boola Boss 16/1, Below form up in grade when fourth beaten 22l in a handicap chase at Chepstow last time; enjoys racing prominently; effective over 3m on a sound surface and was progressive last term. Successful in last two attempts in this grade but current mark looks demanding. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (7/2 +13%)All Authorized |
7/2(+13%) | (9) All Authorized 7/2, Well backed and ran to his best when benefiting from a first-time tongue tie to land a handicap by 5½l off 104 over 3m1f at Plumpton last time; good mark on hurdle form and unexposed at staying trips; strong claims. May show progress in the retained tongue-tie, provided he's as effective back over fences. |

All Authorized and Montregard were both successful when last seen and are noteworthy returning fresh from a break. However, SAFE DESTINATION has a match-fitness edge, which could be beneficial if the ground turns this into a test of resilience. The Nigel & Willy Twiston-Davies-trained seven-year-old narrowly failed to back up October's Chepstow success over 3m2f when he filled the runner up slot back over 3m at Kempton. Well clear of the rest that day, the in-form gelding looks the value call here.

This is perhaps the time to catch VISION DE MAINE, who is first choice ahead of All Authorized.

Effective around 2m and acts on heavy and good ground; progressive type. Escapes a penalty for last week's 25l win at Uttoxeter; a 14lb rise is imminent. |

2nd (11) (11/2 +66%)Mumbles |
11/2(+66%) | (11) Mumbles 11/2, Outpaced and needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Ffos Las most recently. Effective over 2½m and suited by plenty of cut; form has tailed off over hurdles and fences. Dual winner; needs to turn a corner but has got himself well handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (50/1 -79%)Miss Maxfort |
50/1(-79%) | (3) Miss Maxfort 50/1, Stopped quickly when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Tramore most recently. Off a short break; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; looks flattered by her maiden win in Ireland. Maiden winner who has offered little in handicaps; has changed stables. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (16/1 +11%)Storming Nelson |
16/1(+11%) | (9) Storming Nelson 16/1, Made too much use of the pace and found the ground too quick when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Stratford last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective at 2m and suited by plenty of cut; has regressed. Hasn't produced an effort of note in seven runs since winning an Exeter maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (10/1 -11%)Don't Tell Rosie |
10/1(-11%) | (6) Don't Tell Rosie 10/1, Far too free and needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Exeter most recently. In good form prior; effective over 2½m but must bounce back. Improving last backend and raced too freely on her comeback run at Exeter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (40/1 -100%)Nobody Told Me |
40/1(-100%) | (12) Nobody Told Me 40/1, Ran to his recent moderate level when beaten 8l in a handicap over 2m1f at Wolverhampton last time. Effective from 12-14f with give; in moderate form over hurdles when last seen. Has hinted at winning potential over hurdles and ran okay on the AW last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (6/1 +14%)Unleash The Beast |
6/1(+14%) | (2) Unleash The Beast 6/1, Ran to form on handicap debut but looked in need of further when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Doncaster last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective at 2m and acts with cut; consistent so far, may prefer further in time. Mildly progressive last season before an underwhelming handicap debut on final sighting. |

8th (5) (50/1 -100%)Estate Planning |
50/1(-100%) | (5) Estate Planning 50/1, Needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good to soft and good ground. Remains a maiden and was comfortably beaten after a break at Ffos Las. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (22/1 -83%)Cornish Comedy |
22/1(-83%) | (8) Cornish Comedy 22/1, Made mistakes but improved down in grade under positive handling when second, beaten 19l in a novice hurdle over 2m3f at Taunton last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective over 2-2½m and acts with cut; steadily improving and opening mark looks fair. Questionable what he achieved when second in a three-runner novice at Taunton in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (40/1 -82%)Midnight View |
40/1(-82%) | (4) Midnight View 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Warwick last time. Trainer in form and wears a tongue-tie for the first time. Effective at 2m on good ground; still early days but needs to bounce back. Losing his position when making a bad mistake three out on handicap debut at Warwick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (80/1 -60%)Lupus Regem |
80/1(-60%) | (1) Lupus Regem 80/1, Outpaced and jumped poorly when comfortably held in a handicap chase here on chase debut last time. Returning from a long layoff and needs to show more. Did well for Olly Murphy but powers have been on the wane for this yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (125/1 -150%)Morning Mayhem |
125/1(-150%) | (10) Morning Mayhem 125/1, Appeared on a stiff mark when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m2f at Fontwell last time. Yet to show anything over 2-2½m over hurdles and needs to leave Irish form behind on stable debut. Ex-Irish 4yo who was 50-1 for recent stable debut and performed accordingly; opposable. |

Having come home in splendid isolation at Uttoxeter last weekend, it's difficult to look beyond REINADO. The five-year-old is 14lb well-in and is sure to take all the beating if performing at a similar level on this quick turnaround. Mumbles bolted up here in January 2024 and is entitled to strip fitter for his 10th-placed return at Ffos Las. Evan Williams' charge may give the selection most to think about, ahead of Storming Nelson, who has tumbled down the ratings.

With a 14lb hike looming on the horizon after strolling home at Uttoxeter, REINADO needs to make the most of this opportunity.

11/10(-230%) | (6) Unflinching 11/10, Very promising debut when a 2 1/2l winner in a maiden over 3m at Dromahane; the speed and form selection for top yard which gets plenty of first time out winners. Dromahane points' win looks good; joined top yard and likely the one to beat on rules bow. |

2nd (1) (11/1 +73%)All Night Revival |
11/1(+73%) | (1) All Night Revival 11/1, Promising effort when runner-up, beaten 17l in a maiden over 3m at Castletown-Geoghegan on his only start; hard to recommend. Remote second on points' debut last month; market best guide on rules debut. |

33/1(-136%) | (2) All Rise Malone 33/1, Improved when winning a maiden at Loughrea over 3m by a length last time; has an outside chance. Won ordinary maiden point at Loughrea last month (yielding). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (40/1 +20%)Patsy's Pride |
40/1(+20%) | (5) Patsy's Pride 40/1, Pulled up in a conditions race over 3m at Castletown-Geoghegan last time; wears a tongue-tie for the first time and is a contender. Cragmore point-to-point last season but well held afterwards; tongue-tied for bumper debut. |

UNFLINCHING showed nice ability in winning a good-ground point-to-point back in the spring and looks to be quite useful. Out of a mare who was placed in Listed company on the Flat, he is unproven on heavy ground but was purchased by top jumping owners for 150,000 pounds following his pointing success. That form has received a boost as the runner-up is now a capable hunter chaser. Jessbers Wish showed nice ability in finishing third in a useful Liscarroll maiden in March, while Catalani is a triple point-to-point winner but tackles a different discipline here.

This doesn't appear a strong race and Gordon Elliott's recruit UNFLINCHING looks the one to beat on point-to-point form

25/1(0%) | (6) Dermo's Boy 25/1, Ran to form but made his move too soon when beaten 9l in a 2m1f bumper at Sedgefield last time. Off a short break. Effective over 2m on good ground. In fair form and should remain competitive. Third of five in this last year; only sixth of nine on his sole outing since, in September. |

4th (1) (5/2 +44%)Tony Joe |
5/2(+44%) | (1) Tony Joe 5/2, Improved for his debut experience when winning a bumper at Hexham by a nose last time. Effective over 2m and acts on good ground. His recent win has been franked, and he may have more to offer for his new yard, with a chance to defy the penalty. Narrow win at Hexham last month on second start and could continue to progress; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (13) (9/2 +10%)Tea Boy |
9/2(+10%) | (13) Tea Boy 9/2, Raced wide but made a promising bumper debut when runner-up, beaten 6l in a maiden bumper at Hexham. Effective over 2m and acts on good to soft ground. His debut form has been franked, and he should improve further. Runner-up on debut at Hexham in March and could have plenty more to offer; in calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (14/1 +30%)Forever Louie |
14/1(+30%) | (7) Forever Louie 14/1, Yard has won two of the last ten runnings of this race. A Forever Now gelding, he is a half-brother to Ryedale Racer, who was very useful over 20f. Half-brother to 3 winners and yard won this in 2018 and 2022; no surprise if he goes well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (66/1 -164%)Bogha Baiste |
66/1(-164%) | (4) Bogha Baiste 66/1, Outpaced on a modest debut when well beaten in an Amateurs' bumper at Worcester on his only start. Returning from a break and effective over 2m. Should improve for that experience and may stay a bit further in time. Fifth past the post on debut at Worcester; improvement is needed now with a new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (11/1 +31%)Church Lane Lad |
11/1(+31%) | (5) Church Lane Lad 11/1, Promising bumper debut when beaten 8 1/4l in a 2m1f contest at Sedgefield. Off a short break. Effective over 2m and acts on good ground. His debut form has taken knocks, so he needs to find more. Needs to take a step forward on this second start but that's possible with yard going well. |

200/1(-203%) | (3) Blazing Echo 200/1, Modest debut when well beaten in a maiden bumper over 2m1f at Newcastle on his only start. Likely to need more time to progress. 66-1 when 23l last of six on debut at Newcastle (2m1f, good) three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

66/1(-100%) | (8) Gogether Josepi 66/1, Never threatened on a modest debut when well beaten in a bumper at Hexham on his only start. Has plenty to prove at this stage. Half-brother to a bumper winner but well beaten on debut at Hexham a fortnight ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (16/1 -60%)Icy Glen |
16/1(-60%) | (9) Icy Glen 16/1, Outpaced but showed promise on debut when beaten 7l in a 2m1f bumper at Carlisle. Appreciated the stiff track and should improve with that experience under his belt. Last month's debut sixth at Carlisle gives him something to build on; yard in good form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (14) (300/1 -200%)Whispering Cloud |
300/1(-200%) | (14) Whispering Cloud 300/1, Outpaced and showed little when well beaten in a maiden bumper over 2m1f at Carlisle on her only start. Has it all to prove. 400-1 and always behind on recent debut at Carlisle (soft). |

TRIGG represents the in-form Dan Skelton yard and there was a lot to like about the way he went through the field to score on his Worcester debut. He certainly falls under the 'could be anything' bracket and Harry Atkins' 7lb claim negates the penalty incurred for that success. Expect another bold showing, while good cases can be made for Hexham scorer Tony Joe and point-to-point winner Nimba.

The selection is NIMBA, who won an Irish point last month and whose new trainer Mickey Bowen has been doing very well in bumpers.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (7/2 +75%)Secret Sniper |
7/2(+75%) | (6) Secret Sniper 7/2, Improved from debut when second, beaten 4l, in a juvenile bumper at Hereford. Returns from a long layoff; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft ground. Despite knocks to the form, the jockey booking suggests a big run is expected. Promise in junior bumpers last term; bred to do better still; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (28/1 +15%)Dino Moon |
28/1(+15%) | (2) Dino Moon 28/1, 30,000 euros Doctor Dino colt; half-brother to Ito Ditto, very useful at 20f. 30,000euros 3yo; yard 0-7 in bumpers this term. |

SAINT JEANNAIS was pulled out of a Listed bumper at Cheltenham last weekend on account of the testing conditions so wouldn't want too much rain to fall, but he was ultra-impressive on his debut at Worcester. Such was his dominance, he is fancied to contend with his penalty in this better race, although Hitintheheadlines strolled home between the flags in Ireland back in February and is a worthy adversary. Double The Dance also landed a point-to-point and sold for 100,000 euros shortly after it.

Several have possibilities, particularly the once-raced winners SAINT JEANNAIS (bumper) and Hitintheheadlines (point).

Should improve slightly for experience but still has something to prove. A weak 28-1 chance when beaten about 12l into eighth at Newton Abbot 23 days ago. |

6th (6) (33/1 -18%)Maximum Benefit |
33/1(-18%) | (6) Maximum Benefit 33/1, Outpaced and modest on debut when well beaten in an amateurs' bumper at Worcester; returning from a break and likely to want further than 2m; could do better over hurdles. A never-dangerous fifth of 12 at Worcester (good ground; 22-1) in June. |

80/1(-21%) | (3) Digger One 80/1, Stopped quickly on modest bumper debut when well beaten in a juvenile event over 1m5f at Exeter; returns from a long layoff with plenty to prove. Had a clear lead at one stage but ended up beating just one home at Exeter a year ago. |

10th (11) (25/1 -39%)Rob's Spirit |
25/1(-39%) | (11) Rob's Spirit 25/1, Maxios filly; half-sister to Colmers Hill, moderate at 26f; faces a tough enough task on debut. Half-sister to 3m chase winner Colmers Hill; dam well beaten when unseating in a point. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (40/1 -433%)Professor Peppy |
40/1(-433%) | (9) Professor Peppy 40/1, Dabirsim gelding; best watched unless market suggests otherwise. Dam placed 1m 2yo in France, closely related to French 1m 2yo/US 8.3f winner Taranta. |

St James's Finest certainly shouldn't be found lacking for stamina judged on pedigree and market support on his racecourse debut would be interesting. However, NO WALKOVER was headed in the closing stages by a subsequent 400,000-pound purchase on his sole outing between the flags and appeals more on his Rules bow. Lipstick, Half Hoping and Professor Peppy are others to monitor in the betting.

The interesting runner is NO WALKOVER who very nearly beat a highly-touted horse in his Irish point.

3rd (2) (5/2 +17%)Bella Perla |
5/2(+17%) | (2) Bella Perla 5/2, Improved, scored with fair bit in hand when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 80 at Lingfield last time; suited by 7/8f, acts well on AW; respected up 5lb. 3yo with record of 3-6 and she's open to more progress; big player in hat-trick bid. |

14/1(-133%) | (9) Silca Bay 14/1, Well placed, improved when landing a handicap by a length off 72 at Kempton last time; effective 6-8f, acts on GF, AW; thriving of late. Record of 331121 at Kempton since July; up another 5lb but he's respected back to Tapeta. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (14/1 +0%)Grabajabba |
14/1(+0%) | (5) Grabajabba 14/1, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/2l off 78 at Redcar last time; top course trainer; effective 7/8f; previous course winner. Dual Tapeta winner; low mileage but off 214 days and this is a highly competitive race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (33/1 -65%)Farasi Lane |
33/1(-65%) | (3) Farasi Lane 33/1, Below form and never competitive when down the field in a handicap at Yarmouth most recently; effective 7-9f; no headgear this time. On dangerous mark but last win was 19 months ago and he struggled in July when last seen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (80/1 -300%)Pol Roger |
80/1(-300%) | (10) Pol Roger 80/1, Again well below form when down the field in a handicap over 7f at Redcar most recent; effective 8-10f, acts on any, goes well at Ayr; lost form of late. Losing run is up to 20 and he's been tailed off last twice; now makes belated AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (8/1 +20%)Brave Emperor |
8/1(+20%) | (1) Brave Emperor 8/1, Blew the start when beaten 7l in a handicap at Kempton last time; suited by 8f, probably acts on any; remains on the downgrade. Group 3 winner last autumn but he's been regressive this year and others are preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (66/1 -100%)Oviedo |
66/1(-100%) | (8) Oviedo 66/1, Again below 2024 form when beaten 7l in a handicap over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; effective up to 10f; continues badly out of form. Smart in his prime but last win was in 2023 and he's struggled for current yard. |

A really interesting clash between some in-form horses, with the three-year-olds perhaps holding sway. Silca Bay has been taking steps up the ladder at Kempton and proved he stays a mile when springing a 22/1 surprise there. Bella Perla landed the odds to complete a Lingfield double, but fellow hat-trick seeker BIN AJWAD is preferred. A gelding operation and the switch to handicap company has been the making of James Tate's charge and he can make it three from three over C&D.

This looks highly competitive but the vote goes to BIN AJWAD who is 2-2 in handicaps and both those wins have come over C&D.

20/1(-67%) | (7) Almekarem 20/1, Again below maiden level when beaten 5l in a handicap at Kempton last time; trainer in form; effective at 8/9f on the all-weather; disappointing since handicapping. Unexposed 3yo but he's finished in rear in both handicaps and has something to prove. |

13/2(+28%) | (2) Borgi 13/2, Ran to form despite a slow start when beaten 3l off a mark of 83 at Kempton last time; suited by 8f; running consistently on the all-weather. All five wins on Tapeta and he's been in good form on AW this autumn; shortlisted. |

10/1(0%) | (8) Eve's Boy 10/1, Back to summer form when beaten 1/2l off 76 at Newcastle last time; effective 7/8f on the all-weather; chance if building on latest. Went close off reduced mark at Newcastle and has claims if he can back that up. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (16/1 +0%)Optimatum |
16/1(+0%) | (10) Optimatum 16/1, Back to form when beaten a neck off 69 here last time; effective at 8f on the all-weather; respected on recent C&D run. Went close over C&D in final run for Charlie Johnston; respected off only 1lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (9/4 +36%)Special Ghaiyyath |
9/4(+36%) | (5) Special Ghaiyyath 9/4, Well handicapped and ran to form when winning a handicap by 1/2l off 76 at Haydock last time; suited by 8f on a sound surface; very consistent. Won on turf in last two starts and he's open to more progress back on AW; respected. |

Bowood and Elle-May Croot have struck up an excellent partnership, with the pair teaming up for two easy victories at Newcastle. Special Ghaiyyath is another on a three-timer and even though he has yet to get his head in front on an artificial surface, his pedigree suggests it shouldn't be a problem. Both winning sequences may be brought to an end by GOLDEN PHARAOH, who went close in a really competitive Doncaster event on the final day of the turf season and has gone well over this C&D before.

Plenty have possibilities but the vote goes to the resurgent BOWOOD who has won in emphatic style at Newcastle in his last two starts.

11/8(+45%) | (4) Final Melody 11/8, Improved when beaten 1/2l off 64 here last time; effective at 5f and suited by a stiff track; acts on all-weather; consistent type with a fair mark. Clear C&D second last month but 6lb rise looks harsh; still respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (5/1 -43%)Ninth Crusade |
5/1(-43%) | (1) Ninth Crusade 5/1, Fair effort on handicap debut, finishing 6l down in a nursery here last time; hood on for the first time; has the top course jockey; effective at 5/6f and acts on all-weather; respected now 3lb lower. Initial promise but well held in nurseries for Clive Cox; gelded and cheekpieces on now. |

4th (6) (15/2 +0%)Alkutonic |
15/2(+0%) | (6) Alkutonic 15/2, Matched debut level when fourth beaten 5l in an auction race over 6f here last time; effective at 6f and acts on all-weather; likely to progress now entering handicaps. Plenty of pace here last month over 6f; drop back in trip could suit. |

8/1(-33%) | (5) The Love Machine 8/1, Scored by 4l off 61 over 6f at Navan three starts ago; well placed and improved when fifth last time; wide draw to overcome; suited by 5/6f and acts on all-weather; in good form though his mark looks about right. Navan win came at 6f; improvement needed on recent form here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (40/1 -300%)Hello Isla |
40/1(-300%) | (7) Hello Isla 40/1, Ran to form and finished strongly when beaten 1 1/4l off 53 at Lingfield last time; effective at 5/6f and acts on all-weather; more required from this mark on stable debut. Placed in nurseries for Richard Hannon before offloaded for 4,000gns last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (12/1 -71%)Love Bomb |
12/1(-71%) | (2) Love Bomb 12/1, Won by 1 1/4l off 65 at Down Royal on her penultimate start; well placed but below form when eighth beaten 8l off 73 last time; visor applied first time; effective at 5f; the form of her nursery win has been franked. Down Royal winner but tame C&D effort latest and now tried visored. |

FINAL MELODY has filled the runner-up spot on her latest three starts, including behind Love Bomb at Down Royal, but convincingly reversed that form over C&D last month. She also holds The Love Machine and Ninth Crusade on that run and gets the vote to gain a deserved success. Alkutonic showed good pace in a 6f maiden here when only weakening inside the final furlong and looks a threat dropping in trip on her handicap debut. Hello Isla was placed twice in nurseries over this distance for Richard Hannon last month and is another to consider.

It might pay to take a chance on THIS GUY, formerly with Clive Cox and likely freshened up after a break on yard debut

20/1(-43%) | (5) Chola Empire 20/1, Scored by a head off 70 at Chelmsford on his penultimate start but was a bit below form when dropped in trip last time. Effective at 6f or 7f and best on the all-weather, so this trip should suit. Won over 7f on penultimate run and 6f was too sharp last time; dangerous back up in trip. |

100/1(-203%) | (14) Toomuchforme 100/1, Produced her best run since spring when tried in a tongue-tie and beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap over 6f here. Effective at 6f and acts on the all-weather. Yet to match her 2yo form. Lightly raced 3yo but she's struggled in handicaps and needs a transformation at new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (13/2 +28%)Federal Envoy |
13/2(+28%) | (1) Federal Envoy 13/2, Bit below form when well beaten in a handicap at Ayr on ground that was too deep. Effective over 7f and has shown his best form on the all-weather, so the return to this surface is a plus. All three wins have been over C&D but he needs to be back near his best. |

12th (7) (25/1 -39%)Packetofbiscuits |
25/1(-39%) | (7) Packetofbiscuits 25/1, Below form when hampered and beaten 4l off 75 at Redcar. Suited by 7f and acts on the all-weather. Excuses for that latest effort. Tapeta winner who could go well back on AW but some others look better handicapped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (8) (22/1 -100%)City Cyclone |
22/1(-100%) | (8) City Cyclone 22/1, Bit keen but ran to form when beaten 2l off 73 at Kempton. Suited by 7f and acts on the all-weather. Needs to find a bit more to win. All four wins have been at Wolverhampton but he ran well at Kempton latest; in the mix. |

STAR OF MALI confirmed the promise of his handicap debut second at Wolverhampton when going one better over this track and trip. That form was franked in no uncertain terms when the runner-up came out and bolted up next time, and James Tate's gelding has more to offer. He's A Gentleman kept Captain Parma a length at bay at Wolverhampton, although the runner-up is marginally better off at the weights and goes well here. Beauty Choice just missed at Catterick and will relish the extra furlong.

The vote goes to the STAR OF MALI, who made the breakthrough with a smooth success over C&D last month and is open to more progress.

50/1(-257%) | (2) Rift Valley 50/1, Below form when beaten 7l in a 5f handicap here last time, having been in good form prior. Usually held up and effective at 5f to 6f. Bounce back needed. Very wide draw perhaps to blame for tame run here last month; better draw now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (6/1 -20%)Jackie Brown |

Below last winning mark but must bounce back. Won this race 12 months ago off 51; now 2lb lower & will have the services of Colin Keane. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (9/2 -13%)Masked Angel |
9/2(-13%) | (1) Masked Angel 9/2, Travelled well and improved when third, beaten 2l, in a maiden over 5f here on her latest run. Effective from 5f to 7f and acts on all-weather. Fair mark for an in-form maiden. Slowly away when eyecatching third here over 5f on latest; the one to beat up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (9/2 +10%)Hero Of The Hour |
9/2(+10%) | (4) Hero Of The Hour 9/2, Ran just about to form when beaten 4l off 56 here last time, back up in trip. Generally consistent at 5f to 6f and acts on all-weather. Better of late and only just above last winning mark. Solid efforts here the last twice; C&D winner is on a dangerous mark; can't be discounted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (9/2 +18%)Jazzy Dancer |
9/2(+18%) | (5) Jazzy Dancer 9/2, Well placed, ran near to recent best in reapplied cheekpieces when beaten 3l off 55 over 7f here last time; enjoys making it; effective 6/7f, suited by sound surface; better last time, so considered. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

13/2(+19%) | (13) Hasiyna 13/2, Ran to form when down in trip and beaten 3 1/2l off 44 over 5f here last time. Effective at 6f to 7f and suited by all-weather. In decent form at a modest level. Dual C&D winner; should relish the extra furlong and could come home with a late charge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (12/1 -50%)Happy Henry |
12/1(-50%) | (11) Happy Henry 12/1, Produced best form since the spring when beaten 1/2l off 40 at Navan last time. Drawn wide but effective at 5f and acts on all-weather. Needs more to open his account. Good second at Navan; yet to impress in six AW starts and very wide draw a negative. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (25/1 -56%)La La Lucrative |
25/1(-56%) | (6) La La Lucrative 25/1, Continued in poor form when beaten 7 1/4l in a 7f handicap here last time. Trainer in form but wide draw. Acts on any surface and effective at 6f to 7f but inconsistent and could do with a drop in trip. Cut out the running when fading into 8th here over 7f last month; tough ask from stall 16. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (50/1 -79%)Gimmieminnie |
50/1(-79%) | (12) Gimmieminnie 50/1, Again well below form when down the field in a handicap at Navan most recently. Wide draw and effective at 5f to 6f on all-weather. Exposed maiden who is unreliable. Hit or miss; well beaten at Navan on latest; wide draw; the jury is out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (14) (20/1 -25%)Rattletheonionbag |
20/1(-25%) | (14) Rattletheonionbag 20/1, Again below form when up in trip and beaten 5 1/2l in a 7f Limerick handicap last time. Wide draw but effective at 5f to 6f on all-weather. Drop in trip should help. C&D form reads 2643273 and now 8lb lower than when beaten 1.25l here in April. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (3) (80/1 -100%)Run Maggie Run |
80/1(-100%) | (3) Run Maggie Run 80/1, Didn't get home when beaten 8 1/2l in a 7f maiden here last time. Cheekpieces on for the first time. Yet to find ideal conditions. Shown little so far; improvement needed on handicap/stable debut in first-time cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (10) (80/1 -186%)Monastere |
80/1(-186%) | (10) Monastere 80/1, Never featured when down the field in a maiden over 8f at Naas most recently. Pedigree combines speed and stamina but yet to show much. May do better now handicapping. Tailed off in 3 maidens; makes AW/handicap debut down in trip; worth a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (9) (50/1 -150%)Ace In The Pack |
50/1(-150%) | (9) Ace In The Pack 50/1, Well below form on return when down the field in a Laytown handicap most recently. Hood on for the first time after a short break. Effective at 5f to 6f and may come on for the run. Ran no race on only start for Danny Murphy in September; new stable; headgear combination. |

MASKED ANGEL has been placed on her latest three outings and was only just touched off by Rappell when returning to this venue on her penultimate start. She should appreciate this step back up to 6f after her third in a maiden and Nicola Burns takes off a valuable 5lb. Jackie Brown won this last year off a mark of 51 and having shown promise on turf this year, rates an obvious threat on her return to the Polytrack, with Colin Keane a significant booking. Jazzy Dancer has won twice over C&D and reverts to 6f after a promising third to Oiche Rua here last week. Others to consider include Hero Of The Hour, Happy Henry and Hasiyna.

Very unlucky last time when losing several lengths coming out of the stalls, MASKED ANGEL should prove too strong for her rivals

5th (6) (8/1 -7%)Storm Point |
8/1(-7%) | (6) Storm Point 8/1, Moderate debut when well beaten in a novice over 7f at Kempton only start; yet to find suitable conditions; improvement needed. 140,000euros yearling; a big market mover at Kempton (7f, AW) but weakened badly last 2f. |

66/1(0%) | (5) Nana's Boy George 66/1, Moderate debut when well beaten in a maiden at Leicester only start; should be effective at 6f; needs more time. 66-1, beaten 21l when eighth of nine in Leicester maiden (6f, soft) late last month. |

66/1(-313%) | (8) Takincareofbizness 66/1, Modest debut when third beaten 19l in a maiden at Lingfield debut; yet to find suitable conditions; may need more time. Can do better after Lingfield debut but three rivals in this have accomplished vastly more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (200/1 -203%)Elemental |
200/1(-203%) | (3) Elemental 200/1, Again ran to a moderate level when comfortably held in a novice here last time; bred to get slightly further than 6f in time; needs more time. Low-level form when behind in 6f novice events at Redcar (good) and Southwell (AW). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (80/1 -21%)Crown Inn To Win |
80/1(-21%) | (2) Crown Inn To Win 80/1, Modest debut when well beaten in a maiden over 8f here only start; should be effective around 6-8f; drop in trip may suit. 50-1, slowly away when 16l eighth of 14 in maiden at Southwell (1m, AW) four weeks ago. |

It would be disappointing if ANGEL GABRIEL didn't go very close in this novice heat. Slowly into stride on his Doncaster debut, Ralph Beckett's colt ran a blinder to only be beaten a length into second and the quick turnaround suggests he's come on plenty for that outing. Tactical Formation has had a couple of attempts and did improve from his York introduction when third at Redcar. It will be interesting to see what the market makes of debutant Domina Ignis.

Ralph Beckett's ANGEL GABRIEL has a big chance, having finished second on his debut. Newcomer Domina Ignis represents Amo Racing.

5/1(+33%) | (9) Little Empire 5/1, Ran a bit below form when 4 1/2l third in a handicap over 8f here on his latest start; effective at 7/8f and acts on the all-weather; needs to bounce back. Solid efforts here of late; should remain competitive with top claimer taking 7lb off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (11) (8/1 +11%)Ribble Emperor |
8/1(+11%) | (11) Ribble Emperor 8/1, Improved when second, beaten 3l in a maiden over 8f here last time; effective at 7/8f and the drop to 7f should suit. Running well here of late; needs to find a bit extra but each-way contender. |

6/4(+40%) | (5) Daler 6/4, Returned to his best when winning a handicap here over 8f by 4l last time; has the top course jockey, effective at 7/8f, and respected after that success. Career-best when landing 1m handicap here in style on latest when strong in the betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (14/1 +30%)Flaming Rib |
14/1(+30%) | (2) Flaming Rib 14/1, Made no impact from off the pace when beaten 9l in a handicap at the Curragh last time; suited by 6/7f and the drop in grade should help. Runner-up in 2022 Commonwealth Cup; never a factor on first start for this yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (8/1 -78%)Dontspoilasale |
8/1(-78%) | (6) Dontspoilasale 8/1, Produced best form since February when winning a handicap here over 6f by 3 1/4l last time; effective at 5/6f and acts on the all-weather, though the return to 7f may not suit. Bolted up here last week over 6f; should have no issue with the extra furlong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (100/1 -150%)Mehmar |
100/1(-150%) | (10) Mehmar 100/1, Ran to form despite a sluggish start when beaten 8 1/2l in a handicap over 6f here last time; suited by 6f and may come on for that run. Sold for just 2,400gns in August; made no impact on yard debut last week. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (5/1 +17%)Monsieur Fudge |
5/1(+17%) | (3) Monsieur Fudge 5/1, Probably needed the run when beaten 4l in a handicap at the Curragh last time; effective at 7f and the drop in grade looks a help. Catterick novice winner in Britain; could improve on second start for this stable. |

28/1(-367%) | (1) Exquisite Acclaim 28/1, Ran to form and showed good attitude when winning a handicap at Laytown by a short head last time; suited by 7/8f and best recent efforts on the all-weather, but concedes weight to all. 10th (7) (20/1 +9%)Serialise |
20/1(+9%) | (7) Serialise 20/1, Below form when beaten 7l in a handicap at Fairyhouse last time; effective at 7/8f and needs to show more on her all-weather debut. Dual winner on turf for Jessie Harrington at 7f-1m; first run for Denis Hogan. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (50/1 -456%)Millraceflow |
50/1(-456%) | (8) Millraceflow 50/1, Had the run of the race and broke his maiden at Roscommon over 8f by 3l last time; effective at 7/8f and looks a type with more to offer. Won at Roscommon (7.5f, soft) on final start for Andy Oliver; market will guide; new yard. |

DALER was gelded prior to showing improved form when beating Comfort Line by four lengths over a mile here. There may be more scope for improvement and hopefully he can cope with this drop back in distance. Dontspoilasale gained a fourth career win when finishing strongly over 6f here, while Millraceflow now represents the same connections after taking a Roscommon maiden on soft ground for Andy Oliver. Monsieur Fudge should benefit from a run at the Curragh and it will be interesting to see how he adapts to this surface.

Denis Hogan is triple-handed here and it's DONTSPOILASALE who can come out of top after impressing in a handicap here last week

Inconsistent of late but on a generous mark if building on that effort. Has run with credit on Tapeta including over C&D and not dismissed from the inside stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (12) (10/3 +52%)Fenlander |
10/3(+52%) | (12) Fenlander 10/3, Ran to form when beaten a length off 61 here last time from a wide draw. Effective at 5/6f and acts on the all-weather. Showed more like it from this mark last time. 0-12 but had four of these behind when second of 12 over C&D this month; shortlisted. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Won with something in hand latest, so a 4lb rise looks fair. Two wins this year, but his efforts in between show that he isn't easy to predict. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (22/1 -100%)Atomic Mass |
22/1(-100%) | (10) Atomic Mass 22/1, Bit below form when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Newcastle last time, though in good form previously. Effective at 5/6f and acts on the all-weather. Needs to bounce back. 1-18 but runner-up in both starts over C&D; each-way claims if return here galvanises him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (15/2 +6%)Winter Crown |
15/2(+6%) | (3) Winter Crown 15/2, Scored by a length off 62 at Newcastle two starts ago and ran to form when fourth last time. The trainer is in form. Drawn wide but effective at 6f/7f and acts on the all-weather; capable of better for a new yard. Won over this trip at Newcastle at the start of the month; drawn widest but shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (12/1 +52%)Sovereign Knight |
12/1(+52%) | (4) Sovereign Knight 12/1, Again below 2024 level when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Suited by 6f and generally best on the all-weather but remains below his best. 4lb lower than when beaten a neck at Wolverhampton in November, but held since. |

12th (1) (10/1 -82%)Bellagio Man |
10/1(-82%) | (1) Bellagio Man 10/1, Improved again off a revised mark when landing a handicap by a neck off 62 at Newcastle last time, finishing strongly under a good ride. Suited by 6f and with all his best recent form on the all-weather, he's respected off a further 3lb rise. C&D winner who bids for a hat-trick after two wins at Newcastle; high on list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (9) (18/1 -29%)Thanks Dad |
18/1(-29%) | (9) Thanks Dad 18/1, Scored by 3/4l off 57 here two starts ago but was below form when ninth last time. Suited by 6/7f and better on the all-weather. Needs to bounce back. Won over C&D in September, but behind four of these here last time; others look more solid. |

Since connections of BELLAGIO MAN reapplied blinkers to their seven-year-old, he has rediscovered some sparkle. Two from three when sporting the headgear, Antony Brittain's charge lines up on a hat-trick now and a 3lb rise for winning at Newcastle latest might not be enough to stop him. Orbital Chime outran odds of 20/1 when finishing a head second at the same venue and makes each-way appeal again, while Wichahpi is another to bear in mind.

Previous C&D winner BELLAGIO MAN is taken to complete the hat-trick after two wins at Newcastle.

EVENING BLUES showed plenty of promise earlier this year, including when second to the highly-regarded Albert Einstein at Naas, and having been gelded and absent for nearly five months, again filled the runner-up spot at this venue last time. The son of Blue Point had newcomer Golden Trigger just half a length behind in third and there shouldn't be much between the pair again, while Minella Rockett also enters calculations on his third recently over C&D. Coexist cost 320,000 euros as a yearling and is a brother four winners, including three who have scored in stakes races. Bay Of Stars and Lonely Island are other newcomers to keep a close eye on in the market.

Evening Blues and GOLDEN TRIGGER face off once again but Natalia Lupini's colt can come out on top on this occasion

11th (6) (4/1 +47%)Silkies Sib |
4/1(+47%) | (6) Silkies Sib 4/1, Had the run of the race but finished below form when down the field in a 1m5f handicap at Thurles most recently. Effective over 9–10f, yet to convince with stamina for further. 12th (5) (40/1 -186%)Night Bear |
40/1(-186%) | (5) Night Bear 40/1, Too keen and below form up in trip when comfortably held in a 12f handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Enjoys making the running and acts on all-weather. Needs to bounce back. Still 4lb below his last winning mark and he has won over 1m4f here; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (14) (50/1 -178%)Enzos Angel |
50/1(-178%) | (14) Enzos Angel 50/1, Below best and didn't get home when fourth, beaten 7l in a 9f handicap at Wolverhampton latest. Effective over 9–10f and suited by all-weather. 14th (1) (22/1 -22%)Fillyfudge |
22/1(-22%) | (1) Fillyfudge 22/1, Encouraging run when 5l third in a handicap over 10f at Chelmsford on latest start. Effective over 9–10f and acts on all-weather. Creeping towards a fair mark. Versatile performer who ran well back on the AW last time; shortlisted back down in class. |

The eye is immediately drawn to last-start Wolverhampton scorer Mr Nugget, who is also a C&D winner. He'll no doubt prove popular, but it wouldn't be a huge shock if KINGSCLERE reversed that Dunstall Park form now she's 2lb better off for half a length. Going up in trip may also suit her if she's more patiently ridden, as she seemed to get racing a bit too soon 17 nights ago. Woodleigh enters calculations too.

The vote goes to MR NUGGET who was successful last time out and is the only C&D winner in the field.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (22/1 +33%)All Is Bright |

12/1(-50%) | (2) Chosen One 12/1, 2 Feb; Dubawi filly; half-sister to Saint Terry, moderate at 12f; dam high-class from 10f to 12f; trainer in form and brings potential to this debut. Dam 1m 2yo/1m2f Listed winner (RPR 112), sister to Irish Derby winner Latrobe; player. |

300/1(-50%) | (10) Prominent Princess 300/1, Again ran to a poor level when down the field in an auction race over 6f at Navan; bred for around 7f and has all to prove until handicapping. Huge prices and ran accordingly in maidens here and at Navan; impossible to recommend. |

GUARDIAN OF REALM is by Kingman out of a Listed-winning mare who has already produced four winners, and she made a promising debut when third behind Anushka over 7f here. She was putting in her best work at the finish and should be suited by this extra furlong. Sky Watch has shown promise in two turf starts on varying ground conditions, while Glitter And Glory has also been placed on the grass and now switches to this surface. Chosen One, Cite Florale, Contrite, Moon Vega and Vauntingly are all nicely-bred fillies to keep a close eye on in the market on debut.

GUARDIAN OF REALM (nap) sets a very high bar on the back of her eyecatching debut run here last month. Sky Watch is also considered

16/1(-45%) | (3) Siouxfonic 16/1, Improved to gain his first win when landing a 2m1f bumper at Sedgefield by 3/4l last time; should handle about 1m4f on the Flat and has undergone a wind operation since. Won Sedgefield bumper in September but has more on his plate on Flat debut. |

9/4(-20%) | (4) Caliban 9/4, Green, promising debut when 4 1/4l fourth in a novice over 12f at Haydock first-time out; effective 12f, acts on G; improvement likely. Fourth in valuable Haydock novice on debut in April; commands respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (80/1 -186%)Not So Sobers |
80/1(-186%) | (2) Not So Sobers 80/1, Disappointed on handicap debut when finishing down the field in a 2m1f hurdle at Exeter most recently; difficult to recommend on this Flat debut. Won a bumper in spring 2024 but looks up against it on this Flat debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (66/1 -313%)Dartmouth Jet |
66/1(-313%) | (1) Dartmouth Jet 66/1, Confirmed debut level when third, beaten 17l, in a bumper over 2m at Ascot on his latest run; should prove effective around 1m4f on the Flat but looks up against it. First foal from a useful 1m2f-1m6f winner; makes belated debut here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (16/1 0%)King's Cruiser |
16/1(0%) | (6) King's Cruiser 16/1, 10,000 euros Telescope colt; half-brother to Paso Doble, very useful at 12f; dam high-class at 12f; cheekpieces first time; worth a market check on debut. Out of a German 1m4f Group 1 winner; wears cheekpieces on debut, which is unnerving. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (40/1 -21%)Hawaiian King |
40/1(-21%) | (5) Hawaiian King 40/1, Probably needed the run when finishing down the field in an 8f novice here last time; effective at that trip and has had a wind operation ahead of this stable debut. Off since disappointing run in March; returns for new yard after gelding/wind operations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (100/1 -52%)Majestic Leo |
100/1(-52%) | (7) Majestic Leo 100/1, Well below form back on the Flat when well beaten in a 2m2f Nottingham handicap last time; effective up to 14f on the Flat; drops in trip back on a sounder surface. Placed on the Flat last year but has too much to prove at present. |

Participle has been performing with credit in defeat and should put her experience to good use at this level. However, CALIBAN caught the eye when finishing a staying-on fourth on his debut at Haydock back in April and looks open to more improvement. Siouxfonic arrives on the back of a bumper triumph at Sedgefield and could also feature, although Godolphin-owned newcomer Volcanic Rock may prove a bigger threat.

Fourth in a strong Haydock novice on his debut in April, CALIBAN will be hard to beat if he builds on that performance.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (6/1 +25%)Convincing |
6/1(+25%) | (7) Convincing 6/1, Ran to a similar level when beaten 8l in a 10f handicap at the Curragh last time. Effective from 8f to 10f, suited by easier conditions. Needs to build on recent revival, with only one previous all-weather run. Heavy ground probably wasn't ideal last time, earlier Naas run encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (33/1 -83%)Church Mountain |
33/1(-83%) | (9) Church Mountain 33/1, Never competitive back up in trip when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Usually held up. Effective from 8f to 10f and enjoys all-weather. Unreliable type. Three-time C&D winner but recent form leaves a lot to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (9/1 +55%)Tinsioux |
9/1(+55%) | (6) Tinsioux 9/1, Ran to form when beaten 9l in a maiden here last time. Effective from 10f to 11f and acts on all-weather. Could improve now handicapping. Mild promise in C&D maiden last month; potential improver but opening mark high enough. |

50/1(-900%) | (8) North Winterfell 50/1, Again well below form over an inadequate 7f trip in a maiden here most recently. Trainer in form. Effective around 12f and acts on all-weather. Return to further could help. Maiden for whom trip was inadequate here last month; hard to fancy unless market speaks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (11) (40/1 -186%)Dromore Glory |
40/1(-186%) | (11) Dromore Glory 40/1, Below form dropped in grade when down the field in a handicap here last time. Effective up to 12f and acts on all-weather. Needs to bounce back. Likely needed comeback C&D run 9 days ago and no surprise if he took a step forward here. |

TRISHULI RIVER won twice over C&D last winter and has shaped well on both outings since returning to this venue. She had a couple of these rivals behind when third last time over 1m4f and is now fitted with cheekpieces. Sinbad My Dad struck over 1m1f at Leopardstown this summer and having lost ground at the start on a number of occasions since, went close over C&D last week. Convincing was only headed close home over a similar trip at Naas and it will be interesting to see how he handles this surface. Others for the shortlist include Ozark Daze and Cherry Pink.

Not too many appeal but TRISHULI RIVER does on her recent 3rd here over 1m4f, and two of her three wins have been at this shorter trip

33/1(-65%) | (6) Intervention 33/1, Found little and finished down the field in a 6f handicap at Ripon most recently. Top course trainer and suited by 6f, acts on any going; needs to find more. Won twice over 6f in the summer, but 0-11 over 5f which isn't ideal in a race like this. |

Another Baar's winning run came to an end on the rise in class at Ripon, although a 55-day absence may have freshened him up. Regardless, Group 2 winner WEST ACRE may have too much class for these at the top of the weights, with his latest close-up second in a Dundalk Group 3 showcasing his ability. Rosario has strong claims on the pick of his form this season and is feared most.

Despite conceding upwards of 12lb to his rivals on his handicap debut, WEST ACRE (nap) may well have the class to succeed.

1st (12) (3/1 +25%)Power Of Prayer |
3/1(+25%) | (12) Power Of Prayer 3/1, Improved on handicap debut when beaten 3l off 48 over 11f here last time; from a top course stable; effective up to 11f on the all-weather; respected after that better effort. Promising recent AW/handicap debut augurs well and longer trip could suit; player. |

2nd (13) (10/1 +38%)Mr Mills |
10/1(+38%) | (13) Mr Mills 10/1, Below form back on the Flat when down the field in a handicap over 7f at Galway last time; tongue-tie first time; effective at 10f on the all-weather; out of form. Little of note in light campaign in recent years; belatedly tried in a tongue-tie here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (7/1 -56%)Syosset |
7/1(-56%) | (2) Syosset 7/1, Shock winner, overcoming slight interference when landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off 53 here last time; effective 10-12f; more on his plate now off 6lb higher. Shock 50-1 C&D winner a week ago; 6lb rise seems okay and good chance of backing that up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (10/1 -43%)Vivacious Lady |
10/1(-43%) | (3) Vivacious Lady 10/1, Again a little below form when beaten 8l in a handicap over 11f here last time; best at 12f and suited by the all-weather; in moderate form this year. Never counted here last month at 1m2f; back to optimum trip here although draw not ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (6/1 +14%)My Vonnie |
6/1(+14%) | (6) My Vonnie 6/1, Made late headway and wasn't far off her best when fourth beaten 5l in a handicap here latest; top course jockey booked; best form at 12f on the all-weather; could have more to offer over this C&D. Staying on fourth to Syosset over C&D a week ago, could be made more use of from low draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (13/8 +35%)Spy |
13/8(+35%) | (4) Spy 13/8, Ran to form back on the Flat when beaten 3l off 57 here last time; effective at 12f and acts on the all-weather; considered on his latest course-and-distance run. Staying on C&D third a fortnight ago; has to be respected off same mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (14) (33/1 -18%)Sunny Dude |
33/1(-18%) | (14) Sunny Dude 33/1, Found little and was well below form when down the field in a handicap over 11f here last time; effective up to 13f; step back up in trip may help. Ran well at Navan over the summer but most recent run here in August poor; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (33/1 +0%)Deluca Chop |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Deluca Chop 33/1, Again ran to a moderate level when down the field in a handicap over 11f here last time; effective 10-12f; needs to prove ability remains after an absence. Missed all last year and ordinary form so far in 2025; hard to fancy on recent efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (12/1 -33%)Go Flo Jo |
12/1(-33%) | (11) Go Flo Jo 12/1, Again below form when beaten 8l in a handicap over 1m6f at the Curragh last time; effective at 12f; inconsistent in a short career. AW debut after running to a similar enough level in opening 3 handicaps; more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (50/1 -150%)Tomahawk King |
50/1(-150%) | (10) Tomahawk King 50/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Wexford last time; visor first time; effective 10-12f on the Flat; return to this sphere should suit. Not an obvious one but Down Royal second gives him a squeak; visor replaces cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (50/1 -127%)Lady Christa |
50/1(-127%) | (1) Lady Christa 50/1, Again below form when dropped in trip and finished down the field in a handicap over 8f at Gowran Park last time; tongue-tie first time; off a short break; effective 10-12f; inconsistent. Nothing in three turf runs this year for new yard and tried in a tongue-tie for AW return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (16) (200/1 -300%)Shore |
200/1(-300%) | (16) Shore 200/1, Another poor run when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Ballinrobe last time; tongue-tie first time; effective 10-11f on the all-weather; has a bit to find. Maiden of little account back from hurdling with no apparent chance; reserve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (7) (125/1 -525%)Surviving Murmansk |
125/1(-525%) | (7) Surviving Murmansk 125/1, Ran to form but was poorly placed off a steady pace when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Tramore last time; yet to find ideal Flat conditions; others look stronger. Hard to know what to make of his chances here, wide draw certainly not a help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (5) (50/1 -79%)Mystical Queen |
50/1(-79%) | (5) Mystical Queen 50/1, Again well below form and didn't stay when tried in blinkers down the field in a handicap over 11f at Carlisle last time; returning from a break; effective 8-10f on the all-weather; stamina to prove. 3yo didn't progress in Britain this summer; best watched on yard debut. |

SPY won a valuable handicap hurdle at Killarney this summer and has been in good form since under both codes. The Charles Byrnes-trained gelding was nearly two lengths behind My Vonnie when the pair filled the minor placings over C&D a fortnight ago. However, on the balance of form, he may improve past My Vonnie, who was fourth behind shock 50/1 winner Syosset last Friday. Power Of Prayer was making her handicap debut and having her first run on this surface when third behind Blackjack Hills over an extended 1m2f earlier this month and is another to consider if staying this trip.

Syosset and My Vonnie renew rivalry but there could be more improvement in POWER OF PRAYER upped in trip here

2nd (1) (13/2 +59%)The Fixer |
13/2(+59%) | (1) The Fixer 13/2, Again well below French level when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Leicester last time; effective at 5/6f; edging down the weights. Formerly useful, but very much on the downgrade and hard to recommend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

5/2(+38%) | (3) Popular Dream 5/2, Returned to best, up late when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 62 here last time; effective at 5f; respected up 3lb. All three wins have come over C&D; should get the strong pace he needs; high on the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (14/1 -180%)Son Of Astar |
14/1(-180%) | (7) Son Of Astar 14/1, Showed small improvement tried in blinkers when landing a handicap by a neck off 58 at Haydock last time; effective at 5f; in very good form generally and could have more to offer. Has won three of his last six starts on turf; one for the shortlist off 3lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (5/1 +50%)Mini Magna |
5/1(+50%) | (6) Mini Magna 5/1, Again well below form when beaten 2l off 63 at Newcastle last time; effective at 5/6f; down again in the weights. Losing run up to 14, but not beaten far last time; drops into a Class 6 for the first time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (13/2 +7%)Fletcher's Flight |
13/2(+7%) | (8) Fletcher's Flight 13/2, Unsuited by a step back up in trip when beaten 4l off 63 over 6f at Chelmsford last time; suited by 5f; competitive mark but bounce back needed. 0-13 so far this term despite a sliding mark; others are more convincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (16/1 -146%)Miss Mendoza |
16/1(-146%) | (2) Miss Mendoza 16/1, Bit below form when 8l third in a maiden at Newcastle most recent run; effective at 5f; improvement needed now handicapping. third in all three starts over 5f on Tapeta; could take a step up now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (7/1 +42%)Until Dawn |
7/1(+42%) | (4) Until Dawn 7/1, Again well below form when beaten 4l in a handicap here last time; effective at 5f; bit to prove. Won twice at the start of the year but has failed to beat a rival in her last three starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (33/1 +0%)Haziym |
33/1(+0%) | (9) Haziym 33/1, Again well below form when beaten 6l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; usually held up; effective at 6f; regressive since move from France with plenty to prove. 1-25 and out of the frame in his last 12 outings; makes little appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (40/1 -60%)Kamekist |
40/1(-60%) | (5) Kamekist 40/1, Again well below spring form when down the field in a handicap at Newcastle most recent; effective at 6/7f, not proven at the minimum trip; form tailing off. 4lb below his sole winning mark, but has suffered heavy defeats in his last three starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (33/1 -83%)Latona |
33/1(-83%) | (11) Latona 33/1, Remained below spring best when beaten 7l in a handicap over 7f at Wolverhampton last time; from a top course trainer; best at 7/8f; poor maiden. Unplaced in 14 starts and has plenty to prove dropping to 5f for the first time. |

Last-time-out winners Sam's Hope, Son Of Astar and POPULAR DREAM are the most tempting propositions, with the latter shading the vote given he is the only one of the trio with previous C&D successes to his name. A 3lb rise for winning here three weeks ago looks very manageable in this company. Handicap debutant Miss Mendoza is another to monitor in the betting, while Fletcher's Flight is dangerously well handicapped and shouldn't be underestimated, despite being nought from five on the all-weather.

The selection is triple C&D winner POPULAR DREAM who seems likely to get the solid pace he needs.
Ths is the racecard key.
