1st (6) (20/1 -100%)Beach Partee |
20/1(-100%) | (6) Beach Partee 20/1, Scored by 1 1/2l off 57 at Chelmsford penultimate start; below form when sixth last time; effective at 5/6f; drop in trip a plus. 2-4 in cheekpieces but not at best last time and vulnerable to less-exposed rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (20/1 -150%)Solar Invincible |
20/1(-150%) | (8) Solar Invincible 20/1, Bit keen and again below form when beaten 3 1/4l off 60 over 6f at Chelmsford last time; cheekpieces first time; effective at 5f (bred for 6f); drop in trip a help. Beaten favourite at Chelmsford last time when hanging; now gets cheekpieces; may do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (7/4 +50%)Guernsey Angel |
7/4(+50%) | (1) Guernsey Angel 7/4, Improved on handicap debut when winning by 1/2l off a mark of 65 at Wolverhampton last time; effective at 5/6f; respected up 5lb. Beat two next-time-out winners when landing gamble on nursery debut; wide draw but feared. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/2 +30%)Corniche Girl |
7/2(+30%) | (3) Corniche Girl 7/2, Ran to form when beaten 2l off 65 over 6f at Chelmsford last time; effective at 5/6f; further drop in trip may suit. 6f AW win in August; latest second looks a solid effort; down in trip but needs respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (13/2 -44%)Canyouhearthedrums |
13/2(-44%) | (2) Canyouhearthedrums 13/2, Well backed and improved in a tongue-tie when winning a handicap by 1 1/4l off 66 at Yarmouth last time; effective at 5/6f; respected up 3lb. Won a 5f Yarmouth nursery in July; absent since and this looks a deeper race; AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (7/1 -8%)Filly Foden |
7/1(-8%) | (7) Filly Foden 7/1, Ran to form when beaten a neck off 59 at Wolverhampton last time; effective at 5/6f; competitive up 2lb. Ten-race maiden; 2lb rise for latest Wolverhampton second looks tough; others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (9/2 +18%)Mwaki |
9/2(+18%) | (5) Mwaki 9/2, Ran to form when landing a handicap by a neck off 61 at Wolverhampton last time; suited by 5f, acts on G and AW; good chance up 3lb. 8th-time lucky at Wolverhampton last month; work to do with Guernsey Angel on previous run. |

GUERNSEY ANGEL showed a big chunk of improvement when beating Mwaki at Wolverhampton in September and this is just her second appearance in a nursery. If the daughter of Harry Angel is in similar form, she could prove hard to beat. Canyouhearthedrums accounted for the same rival in a first-time tongue-tie at Yarmouth in July and she could have a say.

Guernsey Angel may be up to overcoming the outside stall but CORNICHE GIRL could have her measure this time.

1st (1) (10/11 +39%)Master Of Shanghai |
10/11(+39%) | (1) Master Of Shanghai 10/11, Very promising debut when winning by 1/2l in a novice at Pontefract; effective at 6f and has more to offer; should take the beating under a penalty. Strong at finish when making winning debut in September (6f, good to soft); big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/4 +31%)Starlight Sami |
11/4(+31%) | (3) Starlight Sami 11/4, Matched debut form when second, beaten 6l in a novice at Windsor last time; effective at 6f; bit more improvement likely. Placed in turf novices won by good horses in June; this looks easier on return to action. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (150/1 -275%)Real Gold |
150/1(-275%) | (6) Real Gold 150/1, Improved but probably flattered when beaten 6l in a novice here last time; speedily bred and suited by sound surfaces; more required. Latest C&D sixth was better but without suggesting she was the answer this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/1 -83%)Curated |
11/1(-83%) | (4) Curated 11/1, 6 May; 67,000gns Starspangledbanner filly; half-sister to The Twilight Lady, useful at 5f; dam useful from 7f to 8f; not ruled out on debut. 67,000gns half-sister to 2yo winner The Twilight Lady; standard to aim at is not daunting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (4/1 -113%)Nebbia |
4/1(-113%) | (5) Nebbia 4/1, Improved, making late headway after a poor start when second, beaten 3/4l in a 5f maiden at Wolverhampton last time; effective from 5f to 8f; respected back up in trip. Promise over a variety of trips and first crack at 6f could spark more; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (33/1 +34%)Regal And Real |
33/1(+34%) | (2) Regal And Real 33/1, Modest debut when well beaten in a maiden at Wolverhampton on sole start; yet to find suitable conditions and faces a tough task. 50-1 and never dangerous on his Wolverhampton debut five weeks ago; best watched. |

Master Of Shanghai made an instant impression at Pontefract in September and is likely to be on the premises, but he might find it hard to give his penalty away to STARLIGHT SAMI. Denis Coakley's colt has shown a fair amount of ability in both starts to date, with his latest effort coming when second at Windsor in June. With the potential for more to come, he looks the one to side with. Nebbia isn't ruled out either.

This looks less demanding than the turf races STARLIGHT SAMI contested in June and he can get the better of Master Of Shanghai.

1st (4) (9/2 +0%)Wyld Bill |
9/2(+0%) | (4) Wyld Bill 9/2, Scored by 7 1/2l off 64 at Chelmsford on his penultimate start but made no impact off a steady pace last time. Effective at 10f to 11f and acts on the all-weather; better than the latest result suggests. Has won three of his last six, all over 1m2f on the AW; endured a wide trip latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (7/4 +22%)Al Rufaa |
7/4(+22%) | (1) Al Rufaa 7/4, Produced his best run of 2025 when beaten 2 1/4l off 75 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time. Effective from 7f to 10f and acts on the all-weather; respected off this mark. Bumped into an improver when clear of the third at Wolverhampton latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (100/1 -100%)Lilly Lux |
100/1(-100%) | (2) Lilly Lux 100/1, Again ran to a poor level when down the field in a handicap over 11f at Kempton most recently. Effective up to 12f in France; poor runs so far in Britain. Dual French 1m4f AW winner last winter; tailed off in 1m4f/1m3f Kempton handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (33/1 -83%)Flaine |
33/1(-83%) | (8) Flaine 33/1, Scored by a head off 66 over 9f at Wolverhampton on her penultimate start but showed little from off the pace last time. Effective between 8f and 10f and acts on the all-weather; needs to bounce back. If forgiven latest poor show at Wolverhampton (good form there) a case can be made. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (11/2 +15%)Nibras Angel |
11/2(+15%) | (6) Nibras Angel 11/2, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 72 at Chelmsford last time. Effective from 7f to 10f and acts on the all-weather; latest effort was a step back in the right direction. Two turf wins; 0-5 on the AW and needs to step up on her last two efforts at Chelmsford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (4/1 0%)Arth's Gold |
4/1(0%) | (9) Arth's Gold 4/1, Ran a bit below novice level when upped in trip and beaten 2 1/2l off 67 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time. Effective from 7f to 10f and acts on the all-weather; could improve. Found some trouble in running when only 2.5l away on handicap debut at Wolverhampton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (14/1 +50%)Bobacious |
14/1(+50%) | (7) Bobacious 14/1, Again below his summer best when beaten 4l off 72 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time. Likes to race prominently; suited by 10f and acts on the all-weather but not at his peak lately. Hasn't looked as good on the AW as on turf and left Ed Dunlop for 1,000gns. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (7/2 +46%)Baikal |
7/2(+46%) | (5) Baikal 7/2, Scored by 2l off 70 over 9f at Wolverhampton three starts back and was a bit below form when dropped in trip last time. Trainer in form; effective from 8f to 11f and the step back up in trip may help. 9.4f winner on handicap debut but modest since; keengoing tendencies remain a concern. |

Annexation landed a double on the Flat before finishing last of six over hurdles at Huntingdon at the start of the month and is one to note. However, this might be the day for AL RUFAA. The Kublers' eight-year-old has taken the silver medal home the last twice and goes off the same mark. This looks a good opportunity and he could record his sixth career victory. Baikal completes the shortlist.

The 3yo ARTH'S GOLD has plenty of upside and he was unlucky not to be a lot closer on his handicap debut.

1st (1) (13/8 -48%)Bon Viveur |
13/8(-48%) | (1) Bon Viveur 13/8, The yard won this race last year. Showed promise when third, beaten 23l, in a bumper at Navan on debut. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time and could be involved. Remote third in Navan bumper in March, now tongue tied for hurdles bow, should go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (13) (80/1 +20%)Youneedabitofluck |
80/1(+20%) | (13) Youneedabitofluck 80/1, Outpaced early and below debut form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Clonmel last time. Has plenty to prove and may require further than 2m. No sign of winning potential in both previous starts over timber, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (1/1 +27%)Khmer |
1/1(+27%) | (7) Khmer 1/1, Fell in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse last time. Effective at 2m and acts on soft ground; should remain competitive. Fell at the last when holding every chance at Fairyhouse, yard in form, leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (6/1 -9%)How's The Head |
6/1(-9%) | (4) How's The Head 6/1, Made a promising debut when second, beaten 1 1/2l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Limerick. Effective at the trip and on good ground; debut form ordinary but could progress slightly. Fine effort on hurdling debut latest, drops in trip, solid chance if handles softer ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (50/1 -25%)Hello Johnjoe |
50/1(-25%) | (14) Hello Johnjoe 50/1, Below par when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo last time. Off a short break; yet to show much under rules, and point form suggests she will suit further than 2m. Ability in points on good, no show in a bumper or two maiden hurdles, watch. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (25/1 +62%)Just For One |
25/1(+62%) | (6) Just For One 25/1, Ran to form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Cork last time. Probably wants some cut in the ground; yet to match point form and likely one for handicaps. Soundly beaten in a bumper and two maiden hurdles, others hold stronger claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (16/1 -100%)The Guinness Boys |
16/1(-100%) | (10) The Guinness Boys 16/1, Fell in a maiden hurdle at Naas last time. Effective at 2m and acts on yielding and good ground; capable of better for a good yard, likely once handicapping. Keeping on when fell two out at Naas latest, could run into a place in this weak race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (300/1 -100%)Gethegoodtimesroll |
300/1(-100%) | (3) Gethegoodtimesroll 300/1, Produced a modest effort down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Navan last time. Usually held up and has plenty to prove; the drop in trip may not help. Huge odds and well beaten in two completed starts, seems safe to rule out.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (80/1 -21%)Jack Inthe Jukebox |
80/1(-21%) | (5) Jack Inthe Jukebox 80/1, Outpaced and never threatened when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Wexford last time. Showed little in 3m points and yet to fire over hurdles; may need further. Modest form in points and in first two maiden hurdles, others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (200/1 -100%)Deanery Charlie |
200/1(-100%) | (2) Deanery Charlie 200/1, Outpaced and never threatened when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Limerick last time. Looks one for low-grade handicaps later on. No impact in three maidens at 2m-2m2f, probably one for handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (15) (50/1 -52%)Walking In Mayo |
50/1(-52%) | (15) Walking In Mayo 50/1, Outpaced and never threatened when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Navan last time. Usually held up; effective at 3m in points and acts on soft ground; may need more time and longer trips. Point winner, no impact in maiden hurdles, 200-1 and beaten 34l latest, much more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (250/1 -150%)Mount Hotham |
250/1(-150%) | (8) Mount Hotham 250/1, Improved but never threatened when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Gowran Park last time. Off a short break; showed promise on the Flat in France on easy ground. Can do better over hurdles but may need more time. Ability on the Flat but heavy defeats all three starts over hurdles, hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (9) (28/1 +15%)Mr Ed |
28/1(+15%) | (9) Mr Ed 28/1, El Salvador gelding from a stable currently in form. Worth following in the betting. El Salvador gelding out of an unraced dam, likely best watched on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (11) (80/1 +0%)Thunder Gatti |
80/1(+0%) | (11) Thunder Gatti 80/1, May have found the ground too testing when down the field in a maiden over 9f at Gowran Park last time. Returns from a short break; hard to recommend. Modest form on the Flat, not an obvious candidate for hurdling on breeding, best watched. |

KHMER was in the process of running a good race on his hurdling debut at Fairyhouse when he departed at the final flight and compensation could be forthcoming. Bon Viveur was beaten a fair way into third in a Navan bumper in March and reappears over hurdles in a first-time tongue-tie for Willie Mullins. He's a half-brother to a hurdle winner and improvement looks more than likely. How's The Head drops in trip after a runner-up effort on his hurdling bow at Limerick and ought to be a contender.

KHMER (nap) was still bang in contention when falling at the last at Fairyhouse and can gain compensation if putting in a clear round

1st (1) (2/9 +69%)Marsiac |
2/9(+69%) | (1) Marsiac 2/9, Improved when stepped up in trip and ridden positively to win a maiden hurdle at Aintree by 1l last time. Effective over 2½m and acts on good to soft and good ground. The form of that win has been strongly boosted and he could defy a penalty. Dug deep to win at Aintree and the second didn't disgrace that form at the weekend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (4/1 +60%)Noahsgreatrainbow |
4/1(+60%) | (6) Noahsgreatrainbow 4/1, Outpaced but improved for a step up in trip after a wind operation when comfortably held in a 2m6f novice hurdle at Newton Abbot. A 2m bumper winner effective over 2m6f and suited by soft conditions. Should build on that latest effort and looks a clear handicap project. Lots of initial bumper promise but has yet to replicate that over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (25/1 +62%)Broadway Honey |
25/1(+62%) | (8) Broadway Honey 25/1, Ran to form when 38l third in a 2m6f maiden hurdle at Stratford last time. Acts on good ground and may prefer a slightly longer trip than 2m. Beaten 16l and 38l in 2m/2m6f maidens for mares and the stable second string here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (80/1 +20%)Man Up Front |
80/1(+20%) | (5) Man Up Front 80/1, Showed greenness and made mistakes when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. May need more time to show his best form. Went off at 100-1 for hurdling debut at Uttoxeter and finished tailed off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (100/1 -100%)Three Figs |
100/1(-100%) | (7) Three Figs 100/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in a 2m maiden hurdle at Chepstow most recently. Effective at 2m but much more required. Comfortably held in a bumper and maiden hurdle; one for another day. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (20/1 -67%)Harley's Pride |
20/1(-67%) | (9) Harley's Pride 20/1, Outpaced but ran to form when comfortably held in an amateurs' bumper over 2m at Southwell last time. Has an outside chance here. Signs of ability in bumpers at Punchestown and Southwell (good) but might be up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (33/1 -136%)Bushstreet Bowman |
33/1(-136%) | (3) Bushstreet Bowman 33/1, Ran well to a point before finishing 7l behind in a 2m bumper at Uttoxeter on debut. With the trainer in form, he holds a small chance of being competitive. Led before weakening in a Uttoxeter bumper, beaten 7l into eighth (of ten). |

MARSIAC built on his promising Rules debut when getting off the mark in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Aintree a month ago. The four-year-old is likely to have more improvement left to come and he is clearly the one to beat. Montemares scored on his racecourse bow over C&D three weeks ago and, while that form is not quite as strong as the selection's, Tom Lacey's gelding cannot be discounted. Any market support for Justice Served would have to be noted.

Aintree winner MARSIAC looks a nice prospect and the form of that win was given a fair boost at Ascot last weekend.

1st (6) (4/1 +56%)Lordsbridge Blu |
4/1(+56%) | (6) Lordsbridge Blu 4/1, Raced a bit wide and was well below form when down the field in a 9f handicap at Wolverhampton most recently; trainer in form; suited by 10f but needs to improve. Has slipped to an attractive mark; hindered by wide trip last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (4/1 +27%)Charlie's Choice |
4/1(+27%) | (5) Charlie's Choice 4/1, Couldn't go through with effort when beaten 8l in a 12f handicap at Southwell last time; usually held up; effective 10-12f; drop in trip looks a plus. 6lb below last winning mark; good chance provided he's back to form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (14/1 -460%)Oj Lifestyle |
14/1(-460%) | (1) Oj Lifestyle 14/1, Improved when landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off 70 over 8f at Brighton last time; suited by 7-8f and goes well at Brighton and Epsom; respected off 4lb higher. All wins on turf, mostly over 1m at Brighton, including latest start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (16/1 -256%)Meet Me In Meraki |
16/1(-256%) | (2) Meet Me In Meraki 16/1, Scored by 4 1/4l off 65 over 12f at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start; too keen and well below form when fourth beaten 15l off 70 last time; effective 8-12f; chance if settling better. Pulled too hard kept to 1m4f last time; may settle better back down in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/1 +8%)Raintown |
11/1(+8%) | (3) Raintown 11/1, Unseated in a 12f handicap at Wolverhampton last time; suited by 12f and acts on any surface; in solid form before that run. Record of 6-13 at Lingfield includes two wins off current mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (15/8 +63%)Eupator |
15/8(+63%) | (7) Eupator 15/8, Below form when beaten 8l in a 12f handicap at Southwell last time; stays 12f and acts on all-weather; needs to bounce back. May benefit from this drop back in distance; remains of interest at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (66/1 +0%)Blue Eclipse |
66/1(+0%) | (9) Blue Eclipse 66/1, Again well below form when down the field in an 8f handicap at Nottingham most recent; tongue-tie first time; effective at 7f and acts on all-weather; bit to prove. Has gone the wrong way badly since 7f maiden success. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (5/1 +9%)Connie Moon |
5/1(+9%) | (8) Connie Moon 5/1, Ran to form in first-time cheekpieces when beaten 2l off 68 at Goodwood last time; usually held up; effective up to 10f and acts on all-weather; more to come. Moving in the right direction, most recently third at Goodwood in June. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (16/1 -33%)Orbaan |
16/1(-33%) | (4) Orbaan 16/1, Produced best work late when fourth beaten 9l in a 9f handicap at Wolverhampton last time; effective 7-10f and best on sound surface; not the easiest to win with but well treated. Veteran who is 0-15 on AW and doesn't look the percentage call. |

OJ LIFESTYLE struck by a length and a half over a mile at Brighton last month and the assessor may have been kind to only put him up 4lb. As long as the son of Gleneagles can replicate that form on the all-weather, he may take some stopping. Meet Me In Meraki failed in his hat-trick bid when fourth at Wolverhampton last time, but he isn't one to write off. Connie Moon is another to keep an eye on.

Back down in distance, EUPATOR may confirm the promise of his penultimate effort and get off the mark. Connie Moon is second pick.

1st (1) (11/4 -10%)Barra Rua |
11/4(-10%) | (1) Barra Rua 11/4, Very promising debut when finishing 11l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Cork last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f. Consistent, with debut form franked, and looks likely to be winning soon. Course bumper winner, pleasing hurdles debut at Cork, go well if handles ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (11/10 +12%)Mahon Falls |
11/10(+12%) | (10) Mahon Falls 11/10, Made mistakes but shaped with considerable promise when second beaten 6l in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo latest; effective at 2m and acts on good ground. More improvement expected for leading stable. Runner up on hurdles debut at Sligo, bred to stay this far, testing ground an unknown. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (5/1 +44%)Working Away |
5/1(+44%) | (8) Working Away 5/1, Outpaced on debut when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Cork most recently. Trained by a top course handler; tongue-tie fitted for the first time, and the longer trip is expected to suit. Point winner, back from huge layoff with moderate run at Cork, could improve for that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (16/1 +0%)Two Seconds |
16/1(+0%) | (7) Two Seconds 16/1, Soldier Of Fortune mare; half-sister to Diamonds For Luck, a very useful performer at 16f. Soldier of Fortune mare, half sister to 2m-2m3f winner, tongue tied, check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (33/1 +0%)Dameauscottlestown |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Dameauscottlestown 33/1, Outpaced but showed minor promise when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Down Royal on debut; could progress for this step up in trip. Modest form in points, respectable hurdling debut at Down Royal, ground a concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (25/1 +0%)Ersudaly |
25/1(+0%) | (4) Ersudaly 25/1, Yard won this race last year; finished 20l fourth in a maiden over 3m at Loughanmore on debut. Returns from a long absence and has plenty to find. Point winner on good ground, watch on hurdling debut unless the market speaks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (11/2 -38%)Moody Girl |
11/2(-38%) | (6) Moody Girl 11/2, Green and made mistakes but shaped very promisingly when 3 1/2l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Fairyhouse last time; effective at 2m and handles ease in the ground. Point form suggests she may appreciate further over hurdles. Fine effort on hurdles debut at Fairyhouse, bred to stay this far, leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (66/1 -65%)Howyasox |
66/1(-65%) | (5) Howyasox 66/1, Made a modest bumper debut when well beaten in a mares' bumper over 2m at Wexford on sole start; has it all to do. Midfield in a Wexford bumper in May, bred to stay, ground a query, best watched. |

BARRA RUA put together a solid sequence of results in bumpers which culminated in a victory at this track last month. She began her hurdling career with a third at Cork and she tops the shortlist here. Gordon Elliott's Working Away weakened out of contention on her Rules debut at the start of the month, but gets a tongue-tie. Mahon Falls, who represents Willie Mullins and Paul Townend, may not want the ground too deep but has some good form to her name.

It might pay to side with MOODY GIRL who shaped with plenty of promise on testing ground on her hurdling debut at Fairyhouse

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (11/4 +21%)Valence D'aumont |

Made low-key British debut in a maiden hurdle; might get more competitive here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (8) (11/1 -175%)Jack Doyen |
11/1(-175%) | (8) Jack Doyen 11/1, Ran to form when 14l third in a handicap chase at Warwick last time; returning from a long layoff; effective at 2 1/2m and acts on any ground; generally consistent but often finishes weakly. Consistent last season but has fitness to prove after 329-day absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (25/1 -25%)Steady The Ship |
25/1(-25%) | (3) Steady The Ship 25/1, Fell in a 3m conditions race at Tabley last time; in poor form under rules prior and has a bit to find. Won small-field point in April but probably best watched on this stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (66/1 -200%)Iddergem |
66/1(-200%) | (4) Iddergem 66/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in a 2m handicap hurdle at Hereford last time; returning from a long layoff and may be competitive. Well beaten all three hurdle starts for current stable; makes chase debut after layoff. |

VALENCE D'AUMONT was well beaten into third at Market Rasen earlier this month, but is now 2lb lower and takes a drop in distance. The veteran competes off a career-low rating and looks the way to go. Jack Doyen is only 2lb higher than his last winning mark and warrants a market check on his return to action, while Rehill Relic is another to consider.

Last year's third ONEWAYORTOTHER didn't run as badly as the bare facts suggest last time and has slipped to a good mark.

33/1(-200%) | (5) Land Of Punt 33/1, Needed the run on hurdle debut when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow last time; point form suggests further than 2m will suit. Unlucky not to win his point; tailed off on hurdle debut at only 5-2; tongue-tie removed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (16/1 -100%)Hey Buddy |
16/1(-100%) | (2) Hey Buddy 16/1, Improved from debut when 9l third in a novice hurdle here on latest run; effective at 2m, acts on good ground; bumper form franked and progressing over hurdles. Beaten just under 9l into third over C&D (good) two weeks ago and again looks vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (250/1 -67%)Jet Joe |
250/1(-67%) | (3) Jet Joe 250/1, Keen and green on modest debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow on only start; likely to need more time over hurdles. 300-1 when tailed off behind the smart Sober Glory in a 2m maiden at Chepstow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (300/1 -50%)Kellebelle |
300/1(-50%) | (11) Kellebelle 300/1, Improved from debut but was comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective at 2m with plenty to prove. Pretty much tailed off in a bumper and two novice hurdles; no appeal for now. |

Liam Mera Kai sets the standard having won a Warwick bumper in March and he was third on his hurdling debut at Huntingdon recently. That said, a chance can be taken with FOUR SPRINGS, who bolted up in an Irish point in May and was bought for 82,000 euros later that month. Lully Du Houx is a newcomer to note, while Hey Buddy completes the shortlist.

Irish point winner Four Springs might be good enough but LIAM MERA KAI won his bumper before a pleasing hurdling debut.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (17/2 -42%)El Bufalo |
17/2(-42%) | (5) El Bufalo 17/2, Produced best effort since spring when beaten a length off 70 at Wolverhampton last time. Wears cheekpieces for the first time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (6/1 +25%)Danger Alert |
6/1(+25%) | (8) Danger Alert 6/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off 68 at Bath last time. Suited by 6f and acts on all-weather. Generally in solid form and capable of another good run. On long losing run but on a fair mark and more than capable of a big effort at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (13/2 -8%)Mart |
13/2(-8%) | (2) Mart 13/2, Below form when beaten 4l in a 5f handicap at Chelmsford last time. Suited by 6f and acts on any surface. The step back up in trip should be a plus. Goes well at this track, 2nd to Havana Sky on most recent visit; one to take seriously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (7/2 +13%)Havana Sky |
7/2(+13%) | (4) Havana Sky 7/2, Won by a neck off 67 here two starts ago and ran to form when third last time. Effective at 6/7f and acts on all-weather. The drop in trip may suit. Seven AW wins in the last 12 months; good 3rd latest; Rossa Ryan back on board; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (22/1 +12%)Silver Arrow |
22/1(+12%) | (9) Silver Arrow 22/1, Below form with excuses when beaten 10l in a Redcar handicap last time. Effective at 6/7f and acts on all-weather. Needs to bounce back. Inconsistent but on a good mark if this is one of his good days. |

9th (10) (4/1 +20%)Zoulu Warrior |
4/1(+20%) | (10) Zoulu Warrior 4/1, Improved effort when beaten 1/2l off 63 at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 5–7f and acts on all-weather. Respected with just a 1lb rise. Still has low mileage and comes here on the back of two good second placings; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (17/2 +58%)Capote's Dream |
17/2(+58%) | (1) Capote's Dream 17/2, Below form when stepped up in trip and finished down the field in a 7f handicap at Goodwood last time. Trainer in form. Effective at 6f and acts on all-weather. Headgear removed for this return. On losing run; absent since May and, although he can go well fresh, others look stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (12/1 +25%)My Awele |
12/1(+25%) | (3) My Awele 12/1, Again below best when beaten 8l in a 7f handicap at Kempton last time. Effective at 5/6f and acts on sound surface. Inconsistent but on a workable mark. Last two starts easy enough to excuse; dangerous mark; improved showing expected. |

The step up to 7f may not have been ideal for HAVANA SKY when he was third at Wolverhampton last time but he was not beaten far at all that day. Prior to that the four-year-old had won over C&D in October, and Ed Dunlop's gelding appears to be the safest pick in an open event. Zoulu Warrior is likely to be in the mix once again, while Lahina Bay and Danger Alert are others to note.

Mart should go well back at this track but he may not be able to reverse last month's course placings with HAVANA SKY.

3rd (6) (11/4 +21%)Cousin Kate |
11/4(+21%) | (6) Cousin Kate 11/4, Improved on handicap debut when beaten 3/4l off 100 over 2m4f at Gowran Park last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and acts with cut. Progressive, with strong recent form, and looks leniently treated by the handicapper. Much improved the last twice; handles heavy, definitely one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (14) (50/1 +24%)Amburana |
50/1(+24%) | (14) Amburana 50/1, Outpaced and never threatened when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo most recently. Effective at 2m but may want further in time. 22/1(-38%) | (8) Sights Unseen 22/1, Made mistakes and may not have stayed on testing ground when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Fairyhouse last time. 4/1(+20%) | (10) Great Bird 4/1, Fell in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Thurles latest when looked the likely winner. Effective between 2 1/2m and 2 3/4m and has been progressing since going handicapping. Every chance when last-flight faller at Thurles; improver still on a nice mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (20/1 -67%)Are You Busy |
20/1(-67%) | (9) Are You Busy 20/1, Below form though just about saw out the trip when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Naas latest. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, acts on soft and good ground, and was in good form when last seen in spring. Fair mark on maiden win. Maiden win on better ground; lacks a recent run. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (7/1 +30%)Missus Beeton |
7/1(+30%) | (4) Missus Beeton 7/1, Ran to form but was outclassed when down the field in the Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle (Listed) over 2m4f at Naas most recently. In good form prior and returns from a long layoff. Effective over 2 1/2m on good ground and consistent. Returns from year's absence for new yard off still okay mark, market best guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (14/1 -133%)Mo Ghille Mar |
14/1(-133%) | (5) Mo Ghille Mar 14/1, Never threatened after missing the break when beaten 6l in a handicap over 1m5f at Down Royal last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time and returns from a short break. Unexposed in this sphere and well treated on flat form so looks a likely improver. Useful Flat handicapper for Jessica Harrington; potential improver upped in trip here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (28/1 +15%)Lucky Viv |
28/1(+15%) | (7) Lucky Viv 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Cork last time. Effective over 3m and suited by cut in the ground, though she is unreliable. Two recent comeback runs poor but return to testing conditions should suit. |

|PU| (1) (18/1 -80%)Long Gone |
18/1(-80%) | (1) Long Gone 18/1, Travelled and ran to form down in trip when winning a claiming hurdle at Bellewstown by 2 1/2l last time. Returns from a short break and is effective from 2 1/2m to 3m. Acts on good ground but looks on a stiff mark back in handicaps. Claimed out of Declan Queally's after Bellewstown win; heavy ground a concern here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (50/1 -150%)Costanuci |
50/1(-150%) | (2) Costanuci 50/1, Race may have come a bit soon when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Galway last time. Wants further than 2m and acts on soft and good ground, though recent form has been going the wrong way. C&D winner in 2023 but recent form leaves her with plenty to find. |

COUSIN KATE won a maiden hurdle here last month and finished clear of the remainder when second on her handicap debut at Gowran. That was over 2m4f on heavy ground, so she ticks a lot of boxes with the promise of more to come. Great Bird went close over a longer trip at Clonmel and was disputing the lead when coming down at the final flight at Thurles last time. Miss Lia is in form but ground conditions may count against her.

Great Bird is greatly feared but slight preference is for Cousin Kate, who handled heavy well at Gowran last time

5/1(+0%) | (1) Inedit De Mee 5/1, Ran to form when finishing 12l third in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Lingfield on his latest outing. 7/2(-87%) | (2) King Of Cong 7/2, Returned to form when stepped up in trip and back over fences, beaten 2¼l off a mark of 92 at Hexham last time. Ran big race when second in first-time cheekpieces at Hexham this month; major player. |

12/1(+52%) | (7) Honneur De Sivola 12/1, Ran poorly after a wind operation when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Huntingdon last time. This is his second run since the procedure, wants 3m, and is currently out of form. Tailed off this month, after a wind op, and now 0-16 under rules; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (16/1 -100%)Luminaries |
16/1(-100%) | (4) Luminaries 16/1, Improved effort when 11l third in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Newcastle last time, not given the strongest ride. Effective from 2½m to 3m and progressing over fences. On a good mark based on hurdle form. Four-time hurdle winner; not an instant success over fences but ran quite well last month. |

KING OF CONG produced a better effort in first-time cheekpieces when second at Hexham on his latest outing and may have more to offer on just his sixth chase start. The seven-year-old remains on a workable rating and gets the vote ahead of Queens Wish, who returns to this sphere after her third at Huntingdon over hurdles. Frankie Faulkner finished second at Ffos Las last month and also has a chance.

Sam England's KING OF CONG (nap) responded well to cheekpieces and ran very much as though his turn is near at Hexham recently.

7/1(+7%) | (3) Chestnut Pete 7/1, Ran to current form when fourth, beaten 12l, in a handicap chase here last time; best at 2m and suited by good ground; not the most reliable. Respectable fourth over C&D three weeks ago but was some 12l off the winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/3 +5%)Sanitiser |
10/3(+5%) | (2) Sanitiser 10/3, Made mistakes but ran to form when fourth, beaten 9l, in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Fontwell last time; effective at 2m; not the most resolute, with the drop in trip likely to suit. Ran quite well when beaten 9l on chase debut and didn't appear to see out the 2m3f. |

5th (6) (28/1 -180%)The Pit Popsy |
28/1(-180%) | (6) The Pit Popsy 28/1, Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 17l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Ascot last time; good mark on hurdle form; goes chasing quickly; interesting at a price. Promising fourths over hurdles at Doncaster and Ascot; chase/handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (40/1 -21%)Dark Soldier |
40/1(-21%) | (7) Dark Soldier 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f here last time; placed in a point but has yet to show form under rules. Pretty poor since sent under rules and 40-1 when pulled up on recent chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (4) (4/1 -14%)L'empire Vert |
4/1(-14%) | (4) L'empire Vert 4/1, Returned to form down in grade back over fences, the race falling apart when landing a handicap by 9 1/2l off 90 at Ludlow last time; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m; remains well treated on French form. Only beat one other finisher at Ludlow but the handicapper wasn't harsh with just 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (17/2 +15%)Blackijo Dagrostis |
17/2(+15%) | (5) Blackijo Dagrostis 17/2, Travelled well but found little when fourth, beaten 22l, in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Stratford last time after a wind operation; second run following that procedure and off a short break; effective at 2m and may yet stay further; should improve for the latest run. Best run over fences was his first; comfortably held last time after wind surgery. |

L'EMPIRE VERT's task was made easier as most of his rivals failed to complete when he won at Ludlow earlier in the month. That said, it was still a good performance and he merits plenty of respect off just 2lb higher here. Electric Eddy disappointed at Stratford on his return last month but it is too soon to be writing him off, while Sanitiser is next best.

The lightly raced THE PIT POPSY is sent straight chasing for her handicap debut despite showing nice promise over hurdles.

25/1(-79%) | (4) Amused 25/1, Below form after being bumped early, beaten 8l in a claimer over 7f at Leicester last time; visor applied for the first time; solid French form at 6/7f; bit to prove in a handicap. Too keen in a Leicester claimer latest; stamina to prove and now tried in new headgear. |

40/1(-60%) | (7) Marsh Benham 40/1, Made a big move after missing the break but failed to find much, beaten 6l in a handicap at Brighton last time; usually held up; wide draw; effective at 7/8f and acts on all-weather; attitude a concern of late. Feasible mark but not at his best last time and others appeal more for win purposes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (7/4 +30%)Knickerbocker |
7/4(+30%) | (2) Knickerbocker 7/4, Improved to win a handicap by a neck off 72 at Southwell last time; effective from 8-10f and acts on all-weather; remains in form and still looks fairly treated. Two improved runs in handicaps this autumn, off the mark at Southwell latest; unexposed. |

9th (8) (25/1 +38%)Apache Green |
25/1(+38%) | (8) Apache Green 25/1, Ran as though something was amiss when tried in cheekpieces and finished down the field in a handicap at Newmarket last time; trainer in form; effective at 6/7f; bit to prove. Going the wrong way this year and still to prove himself over this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (18/1 -100%)Just Typical |
18/1(-100%) | (6) Just Typical 18/1, Won by 3 1/4l off 62 at Redcar three starts back; below form with excuses when seventh last time; usually held up; suited by 8f and acts on all-weather; quirky due to breathing issues but capable. Had a good 12 months, winning six times; ground didn't suit latest; considered back on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (7/1 +7%)Mc'ted |
7/1(+7%) | (3) Mc'ted 7/1, Won by 5l off 63 over 9f at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start; travelled well and ran close to form when fourth last time; effective at 8-10f and acts on all-weather; higher mark to contend with but in good form. Won first three starts for this yard and solid 4th at Newmarket last time; tough mark now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (9) (40/1 -233%)Adelaide Bay |
40/1(-233%) | (9) Adelaide Bay 40/1, Below form back on turf when beaten 3l off 68 over 7f at Newbury last time; effective at 7f and acts on all-weather; return to all-weather should suit. Progressive in 7f AW handicaps for former yard; absent 5 months; new trip could spark more. |

KNICKERBOCKER got off the mark on just her second start in handicaps over a mile at Southwell last month. The daughter of Le Havre may have enough improvement left to come to defy a 3lb rise here. Mc'ted's winning run came to an end last time but he cannot be discounted in a race of this nature and he edges out Simply Blue to be best of the rest.

A competitive handicap in which the unexposed KNICKERBOCKER can prove too strong for Port Road.

7/1(-40%) | (9) Pleasureofpressure 7/1, Ran to form up in trip when fourth, beaten 5 1/4l, in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Punchestown last time; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m; still a maiden but arrives in form. Punchestown fourth encouraging; should go well if handling conditions. |

11/1(+21%) | (8) Might Be The One 11/1, Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo last time; poor under rules at 2m but point form suggests longer trips will suit. Will need to improve greatly for this step up in trip to feature but has time on his side. |

16/1(+27%) | (13) Phildante 16/1, Never threatened when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Gowran Park last time; acts on good ground, stays 3m and remains an unreliable maiden. Loads to find with Alright Darling on Gowran comeback run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (12/1 +25%)Mullanour |
12/1(+25%) | (3) Mullanour 12/1, Outpaced and in need of the run when down the field in a beginners' chase over 2m4f here most recently; may prefer easier ground and around 3m. Never counted on last month's chase debut here but entitled to come on for that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7/1(-8%) | (2) King's Son 7/1, Improved when ridden positively to finish second, beaten 1 1/4l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Wexford last time; a 3m point winner who may prefer further over hurdles; in fair form and mark looks reasonable. Wexford mares maiden second upped in trip for handicap debut, unproven on heavy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (16/1 -14%)Real Empire |
16/1(-14%) | (4) Real Empire 16/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Bangor-on-Dee last time; tongue-tie on for the first time; returns from a break; effective around 2 1/2m but inconsistent. Absent since July and hard to fancy; did have bumper form on heavy though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (16/1 +11%)Rebel Cowgirl |
16/1(+11%) | (10) Rebel Cowgirl 16/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Navan last time; effective around 2 1/2m and acts with cut; currently out of form. Off nearly a year until pulled up (hung badly right) at Navan 9 days ago; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (14) (22/1 -10%)Ladyeze Man |
22/1(-10%) | (14) Ladyeze Man 22/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Wexford last time; effective around 2 1/2m but a regressive maiden. Pulled up (keen and hampered) on last month's Wexford return; hard to make a case for. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (16) (66/1 +18%)Rynok Square |
66/1(+18%) | (16) Rynok Square 66/1, Never threatened on a quick reappearance when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Ballinrobe last time; usually held up; returns from a break and has yet to show any ability. Poor maiden form and opening two handicap runs no better; upped in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (1) (10/1 -54%)Rainbow Connection |
10/1(-54%) | (1) Rainbow Connection 10/1, Improved on her final qualifying run when second, beaten 8 1/2l, in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Galway last time; effective at 2m1f and may stay a bit further; opening mark looks lenient and she could progress. Maiden interesting upped in trip for handicap debut with rider's claim a positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (7) (18/1 +18%)Marine Ranger |
18/1(+18%) | (7) Marine Ranger 18/1, Outpaced and disappointing on handicap debut when well beaten over 2m at Gowran Park last time; trainer in form; returns from a long layoff; effective at 2m but needs plenty more up in trip. Step up in trip will need to bring serious improvement on second handicap attempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (15) (10/1 -11%)Hob's Angel |
10/1(-11%) | (15) Hob's Angel 10/1, Ran to form when beaten 4l off 74 over 2m4f at Wexford last time; usually held up; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and may want slightly further ideally. Maiden's last two runs last month were solid, more testing conditions to deal with now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (50/1 0%)Evening's Empire |
50/1(0%) | (5) Evening's Empire 50/1, May not have stayed when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Gowran Park last time; effective at 2m but yet to convince with stamina for further; acts on any ground and out of form. Dual Flat winner has run well at times over hurdles but poor over further the last twice. |

RAINBOW CONNECTION was no match for a useful winner when second in a Galway maiden hurdle, but her previous fourth on soft ground at Gowran was creditable and a capable 7lb claimer now takes the ride on her handicap debut. Alright Darling won at Thurles and her subsequent third on heavy ground at Gowran was a solid effort. Wexford runner-up King's Son is another handicap debutant who makes some appeal as he goes over a longer trip.

Alright Darling is respected but there may be more to come from Punchestown second HEAD FOR HOME

2nd (1) (7/1 -17%)Havefunontherun |
7/1(-17%) | (1) Havefunontherun 7/1, Improved from his debut when fourth, beaten 5 1/4l in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last time. Effective at 2m on a sound surface and looks progressive; should remain competitive on handicap debut. Won run-of-the-mill Worcester maiden in May; probably needs to improve to defy topweight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (12/1 +45%)Jacques Clouseau |
12/1(+45%) | (4) Jacques Clouseau 12/1, Outclassed and well beaten in a novice hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Effective over 2 1/2m, and while the drop in grade helps, more will be needed to defy this opening mark. Displayed clear promise in two maidens last season; can improve in handicaps this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/1 -17%)Diamond Koda |
7/1(-17%) | (3) Diamond Koda 7/1, Outpaced and had too much to do but stayed on to finish 1 1/2l behind off 107 at Fakenham last time. Effective at 2 1/2m on good ground; consistent but can prove frustrating. Very consistent last season but 0-9 over hurdles; others have more potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (10/3 +5%)Moab |
10/3(+5%) | (6) Moab 10/3, Won by 4l off 57 over 1m6f here three starts back, then ran to form when second beaten a length off 104 last time. Effective at 2m; looks fairly treated and in good form, with a longer trip likely to suit. Won on Flat last month and was clear second on recent hurdle return; must be considered. |

Havefunontherun was unable to carry his penalty to victory when fourth at Newton Abbot last month, but that was still a fair effort and he remains of interest on handicap debut. However, NAZARE struck by over a length at Market Rasen recently and is likely to have more to come on just his second outing in a handicap. Off just a 5lb higher rating, the son of Masterstroke looks the one to beat. Moab completes the shortlist.

James Owen's NAZARE finished well to score on his handicap debut at Market Rasen and could still be on a good mark after a 5lb rise.

16/1(+27%) | (1) Collingham 16/1, Up in trip, didn't stay when 10l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Ludlow on latest start; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; possibly flattered by claiming wins. Continues to fall in the handicap but was beaten fair and square last time at Ludlow. |

|PU| (4) (9/2 +10%)Recoded |
9/2(+10%) | (4) Recoded 9/2, Too free back from a break after wind surgery when beaten 8¼l in a 2m5f Warwick handicap hurdle; now on second run since the operation; effective at 2½m and likely to improve for the outing. Returning from a year off and wind surgery when running well for a long way at Warwick. |

Keep On Cobbling made her first start in a handicap a winning one on her return earlier this month and holds an obvious chance, but the vote goes to HILLSIN. The seven-year-old was victorious on his first outing back with Alan Jones at Exeter last month and is just 3lb higher. The step back up in trip is unlikely to pose him any problems and he can follow up. The Secret Pearl and Golden Identity are others to note.

Kerry Lee's WISTMANS PRINCE (nap) was in the process of showing huge improvement when falling late on here last time.

9/1(+64%) | (2) Ataser 9/1, Fair effort on reappearance when beaten 3 1/2l off 65 at Doncaster last time; effective 7-9f; has regressed faster than mark has fallen. On a long losing spell and never landed a blow in sole run this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (10/1 +17%)Naval Ensign |
10/1(+17%) | (7) Naval Ensign 10/1, Again a little below form tried in tongue-tie when beaten 3 1/4l off 62 at Kempton last time; trainer in form; effective 6/7f; needs more. Fighting chance on peak effort, namely second at Yarmouth in September. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (6/1 -20%)Ten Club |
6/1(-20%) | (5) Ten Club 6/1, Well on top late, improved when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 58 here last time; effective 6/7f; in fine form. Unlucky on penultimate start; gained compensation in C&D event latest; major contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (11/1 -69%)Harry Brown |
11/1(-69%) | (6) Harry Brown 11/1, Ran to best when landing a handicap by a length off 58 over 6f here last time; usually held up; wide draw; effective 5/6f; respected up 3lb. Sprinter who last time recorded a fourth win at Lingfield; 7f is unknown territory. |

The recent winners Rovinia, Harry Brown and Ten Club all have to be considered but may be vulnerable off their new marks. With that in mind, preference is for BLUE EMPRESS, who has been knocking hard on the door of late and remains on a workable rating. Graduated also hit the crossbar at Newcastle last time and could prove to be the main threat.

Being open to further progress at this trip, ROVINIA (nap) is taken to follow up her Kempton success. Holy Fire is second choice.

1st (1) (7/2 +13%)Aclass |
7/2(+13%) | (1) Aclass 7/2, May not have stayed at the stiff track when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Navan last time. Previously in good form; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, suited by cut, consistent if sometimes frustrating. Rated 98 over fences, decent run in a handicap chase on penultimate, chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (7/4 +61%)Mount Shenshan |
7/4(+61%) | (8) Mount Shenshan 7/4, Ran to form when well beaten in a beginners' chase over 2m2f at Thurles last time. Effective at 2 1/2m, acts on soft and good ground, and running back into form; goes well at Tramore. Winning hurdler, 0-5 over fences and rated 96, has run well over C&D, chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (17/2 -21%)Lecale's Diamond |
17/2(-21%) | (6) Lecale's Diamond 17/2, Yard has won the last two renewals. Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Navan last time; hard to recommend. Placed in a point on soft, 0-4 over hurdles and rated 86, needs more upped in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (6/1 +73%)Walk In The Sea |
6/1(+73%) | (9) Walk In The Sea 6/1, Outpaced and ran poorly when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Gowran Park last time; plenty more needed. Unplaced in points, rated 84 over hurdles, hard to fancy on chasing debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (12/1 +70%)Duce Bigalow |
12/1(+70%) | (4) Duce Bigalow 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Wexford last time and is difficult to fancy switched to fences. Placed in a point on heavy, 0-6 over hurdles and rated 79, best watched on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (7/2 -75%)Jerisk Star |
7/2(-75%) | (5) Jerisk Star 7/2, Unseated in a beginners' chase over 2m4f at Gowran Park last time. Effective at around 2 1/2m, handles cut, and progressing since a wind operation. Hurdles winner, unseated at last on chase debut, has form to go well with a clear round. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (11/1 +0%)Gortmore Lady |
11/1(+0%) | (7) Gortmore Lady 11/1, Disappointing back up in trip when well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Down Royal last time. Previously in good form but needs to improve. 0-14 over hurdles and rated 84, ground a big concern, best watched on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (125/1 -346%)Atlantic Wonder |
125/1(-346%) | (2) Atlantic Wonder 125/1, Possibly did not stay when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Punchestown last time. Absent for a lengthy spell and faces a tough task. Chase debutant, 0-13 over hurdles and rated 88, best form on better ground than this. |

ACLASS has made the frame in a couple of handicap chases and can put that experience to good use. He handles testing ground and three miles may just have stretched his stamina when third on his most recent run over fences at Fairyhouse. The selection may have needed the run when beaten by Jerisk Star over hurdles at Gowran, but that rival ran well for a long way until falling on chase debut at the same track and looks a big player. Gavin Cromwell has won the last two renewals of this, so point-to-point runner-up Lecale's Diamond cannot be discounted.

ACLASS, runner up behind Jerisk Star over hurdles at Gowran last month, may be able to avenge that defeat in these conditions

1st (4) (13/8 +41%)Next Twist |
13/8(+41%) | (4) Next Twist 13/8, Given too much to do at a sharp track but showed promise when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time. Wears a hood for the first time, effective at 2m and acts on good to soft; progressive and should have more to come. Made good headway from the rear on seasonal/hurdle debut and can do better here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (6/5 +0%)Precious Metal |
6/5(+0%) | (6) Precious Metal 6/5, Made a promising debut when second beaten 8 1/2l in a novice hurdle at Stratford last time. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good to soft; bumper win has been franked and he should improve for that initial experience. Listed bumper winner; second on recent seasonal/hurdle debut; leading contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (16/1 +27%)Nosy Neighbour |
16/1(+27%) | (5) Nosy Neighbour 16/1, Produced only a modest effort when fourth beaten 23l in a maiden over 3m at Monksgrange last time. Hard to recommend on that evidence. Shaped with promise in two Irish points in February/March; market helpful on rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/2 -80%)Media Mogul |
9/2(-80%) | (3) Media Mogul 9/2, Made mistakes but shaped with promise on debut, making his challenge too soon when fourth beaten 4 1/2l in a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Trainer in form and generally consistent; should improve for that initial experience. Fair Flat racer; good start to hurdling career when close fourth at Huntingdon this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (150/1 +25%)Saint Polo |
150/1(+25%) | (8) Saint Polo 150/1, Showed greenness and never threatened when well beaten in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time. May want further than 2m. Did not get competitive in first three hurdle races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (25/1 +62%)Scairp Dubh |
25/1(+62%) | (9) Scairp Dubh 25/1, Made mistakes and showed greenness on a poor hurdle debut when well beaten in a novice at Wetherby last time. Point winner who may get a bit further in time. Second in five-runner Sedgefield bumper in May; well beaten on recent hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (14/1 +30%)Madajovy |
14/1(+30%) | (2) Madajovy 14/1, Ran to form and wasn't given a hard time when comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Exeter last time. From a good yard but looks one for handicaps over further. Made the frame in two spring bumpers but subsequent hurdle form has been underwhelming. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (100/1 +33%)A Law To Himself |
100/1(+33%) | (1) A Law To Himself 100/1, Outpaced but ran to form when well beaten in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Market Rasen last time. Effective at 2m4f in points and acts on good ground but may again find 2m on the sharp side. Cut little ice on first two hurdling starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (40/1 -21%)The Brave Guy |
40/1(-21%) | (11) The Brave Guy 40/1, Outpaced on a poor debut when well beaten in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Hexham last time. May find 2m on the sharp side. Placed in a point in 2024 but showed only minor promise on recent rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (150/1 +0%)Saachi |
150/1(+0%) | (7) Saachi 150/1, Poor debut when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time; an inconsistent maiden. Always behind when 125-1 for recent hurdle debut at Huntingdon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (100/1 +33%)Son Of Tyran |
100/1(+33%) | (10) Son Of Tyran 100/1, Outpaced and never threatened when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle here last time. Likely to want further than 2m and looks the type to fare better in handicaps. Well beaten at triple-digit odds in three novice/maiden hurdles this autumn. |

This maiden hurdle looks to be between Media Mogul, Next Twist and PRECIOUS METAL. The latter gets the nod on the basis that he won a Listed bumper at Cheltenham last season and is entitled to have improved plenty for his seasonal/hurdling debut at Stratford last month. Next Twist is tried in a first-time hood and heads the list of dangers from Huntingdon fourth Media Mogul.

Olly Murphy's NEXT TWIST has about 5l to find with Precious Metal on recent Stratford form but can improve if he settles better.

1st (3) (7/1 -8%)Buckna |
7/1(-8%) | (3) Buckna 7/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last time; second run since a wind operation; effective around 2 1/2m; in fair winter form over hurdles but jumping remains an issue over fences. Useful maiden over hurdles; didn't jump well enough on chase debut; raised in trip. |

2nd (7) (10/3 +39%)Mahler Moon |
10/3(+39%) | (7) Mahler Moon 10/3, Returned to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 100 over 2m5f here last time; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m; on a fair mark and may improve stepped up in trip. 3m winner who ran on well over 2m5f here on his return to chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (13/8 +0%)Copshill Lad |
13/8(+0%) | (5) Copshill Lad 13/8, Ran to form on chase debut when winning a handicap by 3l off 107 here last time; effective at 3m on soft or good ground; consistent and well treated up 2lb, with a chance to follow up. Recent C&D winner by 3l; handicapper saw fit to raise him only 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (11/2 +31%)Law Of Supply |
11/2(+31%) | (1) Law Of Supply 11/2, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m at Kempton last time; wears a hood for the first time; effective at 3m but out of form in 2025. Threatening to lose his way and stopped very quickly on his comeback run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (18/1 -100%)The Long Point |
18/1(-100%) | (6) The Long Point 18/1, Needed the run and performed well to a point on chase debut when fourth, beaten 36l, in a handicap chase here last time; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at around 2 1/2m; should improve for the reappearance. Unruly before disappointing on his recent chase debut; ability needs respecting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (9/1 -100%)Lagonda |
9/1(-100%) | (2) Lagonda 9/1, Taken on up front and did plenty early when down the field in a handicap chase at Cheltenham last time; effective at 3m; consistent until that effort. Last season went well until disappointing at Cheltenham and that might not be her track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (17/2 -6%)Concetto |
17/2(-6%) | (4) Concetto 17/2, Returned to form after a wind operation under an aggressive ride when beaten 1 1/2l off 110 over 3m2f at Ludlow last time; second run after the surgery; likes to make the running and effective at 3m on a sound surface. Off the same mark as when so nearly making all in a small field at Ludlow. |

COPSHILL LAD justified favouritism by three lengths over C&D on his most recent start and is likely to have more to offer on just his second chase outing. With the Harry Derham yard in fine form at present, he could prove a tough nut to crack. Concetto only found one too good at Ludlow last time and needs considering with Harry Cobden taking over in the plate. Of the remainder, Mahler Moon makes the most appeal.

If CONCETTO can get into the same rhythm up front as when overhauled only late on at Ludlow then he could be tough to catch.

Two 6f wins at Brighton this year; runner-up on last two starts; 0-9 but effective on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (9/2 +44%)South Shore Island |
9/2(+44%) | (7) South Shore Island 9/2, Well below form with blinkers back on when beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap over 6f at Kempton last time; suited by 6/7f, acts on a sound surface; moderate maiden needing more to get off the mark. 20-race maiden but right down the weights now; penultimate run okay; well drawn to attack. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (10/3 +72%)Bluebells Boy |
10/3(+72%) | (1) Bluebells Boy 10/3, Again below form when beaten 8l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; effective at 5/6f, acts on a sound surface, best on AW; makes stable debut. Modest run on stable debut but drops into a 0-60 with Rossa Ryan booked; not discounted. |

4th (8) (9/1 -64%)Nad Alshiba Snow |
9/1(-64%) | (8) Nad Alshiba Snow 9/1, Made late headway in a tongue-tie when beaten 2l off 52 at Wolverhampton last time; effective at 5f and acts on AW; appears to be running into form. Exposed maiden but her two runs for this yard have been promising; big run on the cards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (9/1 +44%)Rajeteriat |
9/1(+44%) | (2) Rajeteriat 9/1, Best run since summer when fourth, beaten 5l in a handicap at Bath latest; effective at 5f; unproven on AW. Tumbling down weights; yard in form and this is a drop in grade so revival not impossible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (13/2 -63%)Shalaa Asker |
13/2(-63%) | (5) Shalaa Asker 13/2, Another good run when just held, beaten a neck off 52 at Chelmsford last time; effective from 5-7f, acts on any surface; considered on recent efforts. Three solid efforts in defeat at Chelmsford last month; now 2lb higher but has e-w claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (15/2 -25%)It's Showtime |
15/2(-25%) | (9) It's Showtime 15/2, Returned to form despite a slow start when beaten a length off 50 at Southwell last time; off a short break; suited by 5f and acts on AW; respected from the same mark. Hard to win with; solid second at Southwell last month but opposable from widest stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (25/1 -108%)Henry Tudor |
25/1(-108%) | (3) Henry Tudor 25/1, Again ran to a modest level when beaten 10l in a novice over 6f at Kempton last time; yet to show much over 6/7f on AW, though has speed in pedigree; improvement required. First realistic assignment today but his opening mark wouldn't look obviously generous. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (20/1 -186%)Libra Tiger |
20/1(-186%) | (6) Libra Tiger 20/1, No-show from off the pace when beaten 4l off 55 at Brighton last time; effective from 5-7f and acts on AW; form has been better of late. Down the weights and last two turf runs were fine; sharp 5f perhaps not ideal though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (50/1 +0%)Almavillalobas |
50/1(+0%) | (10) Almavillalobas 50/1, Probably needed the run when tried in a visor and comfortably held in a 6f handicap at Chelmsford last time; yet to find ideal conditions; more needed with headgear removed. Well held on seasonal/stable debut in September; likely best watched. |

ROMAN SPRING has been in good nick of late and will be fancied by many to continue that good form in a race like this. Providing he can recapture that level on the all-weather, he should take some stopping. It's Showtime bounced back to form last time when second at Southwell, while Shalaa Asker and South Shore Island are also noted.

Shalaa Asker should go well but NAD ALSHIBA SNOW has run two good races for her new yard and this could be her day.

7/2(+0%) | (9) Toor Moon 7/2, Went clear and ran to form but was out-battled late once again, beaten 2l off 82 at Clonmel last time. Acts on heavy and good ground; in form but a frustrating maiden who has wasted several good chances. Maiden knocking on the door of late; should again be thereabouts. |

3rd (3) (10/1 -67%)Snow Punt |
10/1(-67%) | (3) Snow Punt 10/1, Made a promising chase debut, seeing out the longer trip when beaten 8l in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Limerick last time. Effective at 2m1/2f and acts on any ground; well treated on hurdle form and should be competitive if fit. Not discredited on chase debut in Limerick handicap in April; runs well fresh. |

4th (1) (12/1 +14%)Lake Chad |
12/1(+14%) | (1) Lake Chad 12/1, Continued in poor form when comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m2f at Galway last time. Effective from 2m to 2m3/4f, out of form but goes well at Tramore. Likes it here; down in grade off reduced mark but ground a concern. |

10/1(+38%) | (4) Nolans Rocco 10/1, Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip when down the field in a novice chase over 2m2f at Galway last time. Effective at 2m1/2f and unlikely to want shorter; possible improver now handicapping down in class. Point-to-point winner (soft/heavy) well held in three attempts over fences; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (16/1 -14%)Likable Chancer |
16/1(-14%) | (11) Likable Chancer 16/1, Had every chance but ran below form when down the field in a handicap chase over 2m2f at Thurles last time. Effective from 2m6f to 3m but appears on a stiff mark. Beat Bondi Boy Blue a nose over C&D in August off 78 (good); well held off revised mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (33/1 +34%)Just For Yuse |
33/1(+34%) | (10) Just For Yuse 33/1, Ran poorly when down the field in a 12f handicap at Galway last time. Inconsistent over jumps and faces stiff task. Not much of note under both codes in recent years, latest last month after 675-day absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (6/1 -50%)Bondi Boy Blue |
6/1(-50%) | (7) Bondi Boy Blue 6/1, Returned to form down in trip when beaten a nose off 83 over 2m6f here last time. Returning from a break; effective from 2m1/2f to 3m and acts on good ground; improving and looks fairly treated. Touched off over C&D in August on good; lack of a recent run and testing ground a concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (14/1 +72%)Robin Elite |
14/1(+72%) | (14) Robin Elite 14/1, Found nothing when down the field in a handicap chase at Thurles most recently. A 3m point winner but has yet to show form under rules. Not getting any nearer to a rules breakthrough, soundly beaten of late in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (20/1 +9%)Will It Be You |
20/1(+9%) | (13) Will It Be You 20/1, Outpaced and appeared unsuited by the drop in trip when down the field in a handicap chase at Clonmel last time. Effective at 3m but has yet to take to chasing. Hard to make a case for although reduced chase mark now 8lb below hurdles mark. |

|RR| (12) (11/1 +50%)Fox Le Bel |
11/1(+50%) | (12) Fox Le Bel 11/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m at Punchestown latest. Effective at 3m and acts with cut; had been consistent before a layoff. Pulled up after 569-day absence at Punchestown recently; possibly best watched for now. |

TOOR MOON has been knocking on the door and may be able to gain a deserved success. The eight-year-old has been runner-up on his last three outings and is only 2lb higher than when second at Clonmel last month. That was a good run and a similar effort may be enough to get the job done now. Bondi Boy Blue was just nailed on the line here in August by Likable Chancer. The latter has been well beaten in two runs since but has also eased a few pounds and the pair face off again on the same terms.

Deserving of a turn after chasing home well-handicapped winners on his latest two starts TOOR MOON can get off the mark

Effective over 2m and acts on good ground; should come on for that reappearance. Third in two small-field maiden hurdles in spring but safely held in both handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (33/1 -18%)Lone Soldier |
33/1(-18%) | (7) Lone Soldier 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f here last time. Effective at 2m but yet to convince with stamina for further and has plenty to prove. Raced too freely and was struggling from fairly early stage here 11 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (11/2 +21%)One Million Dreams |
11/2(+21%) | (1) One Million Dreams 11/2, Scored by a length off 62 over 12f at Brighton three starts back. Never travelled but improved back over hurdles when third, beaten 8l off 94 last time. Trainer in form and effective over 2–2½m; in good form in both codes with more to come over hurdles. Battled on from off the pace for third on stable/handicap debut; Sean Bowen booked again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (5/2 +38%)Platenium |
5/2(+38%) | (6) Platenium 5/2, Scored by 2¼l off 79 at Uttoxeter in October. Effective over 2m–2m4f and best on a sound surface; needs to jump better now returning to fences. Came good at Uttoxeter last month; creditable third at Newcastle since; likely contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (4/1 +38%)Johnny Boom |
4/1(+38%) | (3) Johnny Boom 4/1, Returned to form, benefitting from a strong pace after missing the break to land a handicap by 3l off 64 over 12f at Leicester last time. A value selection based on the balance of his form. Returned from layoff with Flat win last month; back hurdling on good mark. |

It's surely just a matter of time before LITTLE VENICE opens her account over hurdles. An improved second at Uttoxeter a couple of starts ago, she proved that was no fluke when going even closer at Leicester last week and compensation awaits. Platenium and Hello Sweety aren't without claims if their latest mishaps haven't knocked their confidence or left a mark.

The suggestion is SECRET VINO, who kept on well for fourth behind a subsequent Cheltenham winner on last month's handicap debut.

7/4(+36%) | (5) Granny Hawkins 7/4, Travelled well and ran to form when beaten 3l off 88 at Uttoxeter last time. Returning from a break. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and acts on good ground. Generally consistent. Placed in three of her four handicaps, most recently when clear second to a big improver. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (11/1 -57%)Sain Et Sauf |
11/1(-57%) | (7) Sain Et Sauf 11/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Plumpton last time. Effective over 2m but has proved inconsistent in a short career so far. 0-8 over hurdles but hasn't been with Fergal O'Brien long; may yet come good. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (18/1 -50%)Jammy Jay |
18/1(-50%) | (2) Jammy Jay 18/1, Ran to form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Effective at 2m on good ground and generally consistent. Opening mark looks fair. Showed clear promise in maiden hurdles but probably needs improvement on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/4 +8%)Ride Like A Girl |
6/4(+8%) | (1) Ride Like A Girl 6/4, Ran green and made mistakes when below form, finishing fourth beaten 8 1/2l in a maiden hurdle here last time. Trainer in form. Effective over 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Progressive in bumpers, with more to come now handicapping. Only fourth when odds-on for C&D maiden last month but remains one to be interested in. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (28/1 -40%)Lynsey Larue |
28/1(-40%) | (6) Lynsey Larue 28/1, Disappointing when stepped up in trip on handicap debut, well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f here last time. A point winner who acts on good ground, but likely to need further than 2m. Soundly beaten when 40-1 for handicap debut here (2m3f) last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (9/2 +36%)Fay Ce Que Voudras |
9/2(+36%) | (4) Fay Ce Que Voudras 9/2, Travelled well and consistent, but didn't find much after a wind operation when fourth beaten 15l in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Ffos Las last time. Second run after wind surgery and a contender here. Not at best over fences last season but this C&D winner returns on a good hurdle mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (25/1 -317%)Harthope |
25/1(-317%) | (3) Harthope 25/1, Below form when finishing down the field in a 4yo hurdle over 2m2f at Auteuil most recently. Effective at 2m and acts on good to soft. Opening mark looks stiff enough. Beaten 10l in two small-field junior hurdles in late 2024, and well held in France in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (66/1 -100%)Miss Galiway |
66/1(-100%) | (8) Miss Galiway 66/1, Stopped quickly and finished down the field in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time. A modest flat performer yet to convince with stamina for 2m over hurdles. Showed no significant promise in four maiden/novice hurdles; makes handicap debut today. |

Ride Like A Girl has shown enough in her two appearances over hurdles to suggest a mark of 101 could prove to be workable, but it may pay to side with GRANNY HAWKINS. Alan King's mare produced an improved display when second at Uttoxeter in July and she could be the one to beat. C&D winner Fay Ce Que Voudras looks best of the rest.

She has a point to prove after her short-odds C&D defeat six weeks ago but RIDE LIKE A GIRL retains significant potential.

3/1(-60%) | (7) Arthur Rose 3/1, Improved, well on top late when landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off 48 here last time; effective 8f, seems to act on a sound surface; finding her groove, good chance up 5lb. Two good runs for new yard, latterly a ready C&D win; big player despite a 5lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (18/1 -13%)Mount Mogan |
18/1(-13%) | (6) Mount Mogan 18/1, Didn't get home up in trip when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time; suited by 7f and all recent form on the all-weather; down to a fair mark but stamina to prove. Two 7f wins here early in the year; more recent efforts need bettering and stamina a query. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (25/1 -25%)Fulford Cross |
25/1(-25%) | (9) Fulford Cross 25/1, Yard won this last year; bit below form when hampered and beaten 6l in a 7f handicap at Newcastle last time; wide draw; effective at 7f and acts on the all-weather; down in the weights and could do better. Not built on his debut promise in six starts since; down in grade but carries risk. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (20/1 +0%)Bear To Dream |
20/1(+0%) | (5) Bear To Dream 20/1, One-paced and below form when beaten 9l in a handicap at Kempton last time; effective at 6-8f and acts on a sound surface; needs a stronger gallop to aim at. Conditions fine and on a fair mark but she needs to bounce back to this year's best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (6/1 +14%)Judge Frank |
6/1(+14%) | (1) Judge Frank 6/1, Bit below best when beaten 4l off 57 over 7f here last time; blinkers first time; effective at 7/8f, acts on a sound surface; good runs have been few and far between recently. Drops into a 0-55 and his last two runs have been okay; now tried in blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (11/1 +8%)Whiskey Sunrise |
11/1(+8%) | (10) Whiskey Sunrise 11/1, Bit keen down in trip but ran to form when beaten 2 1/2l off 55 at Kempton last time; wide draw; effective at 8f and acts on the all-weather; shaped with promise on handicap debut. Better effort on recent handicap debut (1m); may prefer a stiffer test but he's unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (15/2 -36%)Dubai Harbour |
15/2(-36%) | (4) Dubai Harbour 15/2, Ran to form when beaten 3l off 54 over 10f here last time; effective between 8-12f with best form largely on the all-weather; back in decent form. Two 1m2f wins here last winter; encouragement twice last month; contender back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (5/1 -11%)Raqraaq |
5/1(-11%) | (2) Raqraaq 5/1, Had the run of the race and produced a better effort when beaten 2 1/2l off 55 here last time; suited by 8f and acts on a sound surface; easing in the weights but needs more. Both wins have come over C&D; good third here last time; high on the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (9/2 +55%)Bona Verba |
9/2(+55%) | (11) Bona Verba 9/2, Raced a bit wide and below form when beaten 8 1/2l in a 9f handicap at Wolverhampton last time; usually held up; wide draw; effective at 6-8f and acts on the all-weather; down again in the weights. Seven-race maiden but has ability and Rossa Ryan now takes over; betting instructive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (40/1 -60%)Outrace |
40/1(-60%) | (12) Outrace 40/1, Again well below form when finishing down the field in a handicap at Southwell most recently; effective at 8/9f and acts on the all-weather; badly out of sorts. Arrives on the back of three heavy defeats and too much to prove for comfort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (66/1 -100%)Onlyriversrunfree |
66/1(-100%) | (8) Onlyriversrunfree 66/1, Probably needed the run when well beaten in a handicap at Chepstow last time; yet to find suitable conditions and improvement is needed. Poor form in her four starts; only of interest if backed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (3) (13/2 +19%)Zaltalla |
13/2(+19%) | (3) Zaltalla 13/2, Back to form when beaten 3l off 55 here last time; suited by 7/8f, probably acts on any; better effort latest. Two good course runs in August but he's been below that level in four runs since. |

ARTHUR ROSE leaps off the page in this handicap finale. The four-year-old filly has appreciated the stable switch to Brian Toomey's yard and reverting to the all-weather, as she was narrowly beaten at Chelmsford before doing the business over C&D three weeks ago. There could be more to come and she gets a confident vote ahead of Raqraaq and Zaltalla.

Raqraaq is feared on the back of a good third last time but ARTHUR ROSE could still have more in the tank for her new stable.

1st (7) (15/8 +25%)Susie Lenglen |
15/8(+25%) | (7) Susie Lenglen 15/8, Very promising debut when 2l third in a mares' bumper at Galway last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and in good form to remain competitive. Trouble in running when third at Galway latest, dam won on soft to heavy, claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (16/1 +20%)Lilannbee |
16/1(+20%) | (5) Lilannbee 16/1, Ran to form but was comfortably held in a mares' bumper at Tipperary last time. Returns from a short break, effective over 2m, and may need more time. Beaten similar distances in first two bumpers, more needed to get her head in front. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (5/6 +56%)Torpille Dagrostis |
5/6(+56%) | (8) Torpille Dagrostis 5/6, Ran to form and needed the run when second, beaten 10l in a mares' bumper at Naas. From a top course trainer, effective at 2m on yielding ground, and has shown enough to win a bumper. Placed in sole point to point and runner up in first two bumpers, big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (22/1 -100%)Isdistheone |
22/1(-100%) | (4) Isdistheone 22/1, Improved slightly when finishing 5 1/4l third in a 2m1f bumper at Clonmel last time. Effective at 2m, acts on soft ground, and may want further in time. Improved for softer ground on latest, thereabouts with a repeat of that effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (5/2 0%)How's Ellie |
5/2(0%) | (3) How's Ellie 5/2, Promising debut when beaten 6l in a mares' bumper at Galway. Effective at 2m and likely to show more for a leading yard. Beaten fav' on debut at Galway, may improve for softer ground, yard 39% in bumpers here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (125/1 -56%)Not Leaving Yet |
125/1(-56%) | (6) Not Leaving Yet 125/1, Below debut form when down the field in a 2m5f maiden hurdle at Bellewstown last time. Returning from a break and has plenty to find. Failed to complete in points, modest efforts over hurdles, Isdistheone yard's main hope. |

TORPILLE DAGROSTIS has been runner-up on both starts to date and can make the breakthrough now. She bumped into a smart looking sort in Shadys Lady on her return at Naas 16 days ago and this looks like a slightly easier task. Susie Lenglen looks an obvious danger having been placed on both of her starts. Isdistheone is another with placed form that has to be on the shortlist.

SUSIE LENGLEN was a shade unlucky when third at Galway last month and she could make amends here if getting a clearer run

8/1(+27%) | (4) Apieceovfortune 8/1, Needed the run when down the field on handicap debut in a 3m1f handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Effective around 2m4f and handles good ground; still early days in handicaps. A long way behind Captain Trigger when upped to 3m1f for recent handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (9/2 +18%)East Eagle |
9/2(+18%) | (6) East Eagle 9/2, Outpaced but hinted at revival when beaten 6l in a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Wetherby last time. Effective over 3m on good ground; erratic but should benefit from step back up in trip. Surprise C&D winner off today's mark in April but far too inconsistent to rely upon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (20/1 -122%)Zoffalee |
20/1(-122%) | (3) Zoffalee 20/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced but ran to form when 17l third in a 3m2f handicap chase at Sedgefield last time. Effective over 3m on good ground; poor strike rate but well handicapped if delivered late. Not beaten far when fifth over C&D last month but remains without a win since 2019. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (9/1 0%)Max's Champ |
9/1(0%) | (1) Max's Champ 9/1, Outpaced and below form when finishing down the field in a 2m7f handicap hurdle at Lingfield last time; visor applied for the first time. |F| (2) (5/1 +17%)Ruler Legend |
5/1(+17%) | (2) Ruler Legend 5/1, Ran to current form when beaten 7l in a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Effective around 2m but has stamina concerns now stepping up in trip. Not very reliable but looks well worth a crack at 3m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|R| (5) (11/10 +0%)Captain Trigger |
11/10(+0%) | (5) Captain Trigger 11/10, Improved effort when beaten 2 1/4l off 76 in a 3m1f handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Effective over 3m on good ground and has been steadily progressing since entering handicaps. 0-5 over hurdles but runner-up in two 3m1f Huntingdon handicaps this autumn; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (15/2 +63%)Ghost Pepper |
15/2(+63%) | (7) Ghost Pepper 15/2, Had every chance but below form when comfortably held in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time; looks limited. Soundly beaten in all four handicaps; considered only if lively in the betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (66/1 -32%)As Good As Can Be |
66/1(-32%) | (8) As Good As Can Be 66/1, Still green and below form when well beaten in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Wincanton last time; yet to show any real ability. Well beaten in first two handicaps (2m3f/2m4f); had wind op last month; new trip today. |

CAPTAIN TRIGGER can send his supporters home smiling in the finale. He has really improved since sent handicapping this season and connections have found their gelding a winnable opening on the back of a pair of seconds at Huntingdon. The others really need to step up on recent form, but C&D winner East Eagle and Ruler Legend are the pick of them.

This could be a very good opportunity for CAPTAIN TRIGGER, who came second in a 16-runner Huntingdon handicap this month

22/1(-22%) | (7) See The Flame 22/1, Sholokhov gelding; half-brother to Castletown, useful at 20f; tongue-tie first time; probably best watched on debut. Not an obvious bumper type on breeding. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (6) (40/1 -433%)Not Now |
40/1(-433%) | (6) Not Now 40/1, Outpaced but made a promising debut when third, beaten 7 1/4l, in a 2m1f bumper at Newton Abbot. Effective at 2m and should improve; likely to stay further. Only third of four at Newton Abbot but that effort wasn't devoid of promise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (14) (200/1 -506%)Telegram Dam |
200/1(-506%) | (14) Telegram Dam 200/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a mares' bumper at Ffos Las on only start; has plenty to prove. Brings the worst form, having finished last of five at Ffos Las. |

Indulto Rouge bolted up between the flags in May and the market could tell all on his first outing under Rules for the in-form David Pipe team. However, WESTERN CROSS was beaten a length into second on debut at Worcester and could take a step forward from that display. The son of Order Of St George looks well placed to get off the mark, while Sassipants should fare better after her fourth at Uttoxeter and is another to note.

First choice is SASSIPANTS, ahead of Indulto Rouge and Ma Wang Des Bois in a reasonably competitive bumper.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (11/1 +31%)Port Noir |
11/1(+31%) | (10) Port Noir 11/1, Raced too freely and ran poorly when beaten 9l in a handicap here last time; effective from 8-10f and acts on any surface; out of form and has plenty to prove. Six course wins and still 5lb lower than for the latest, but 0-20 since. |

8th (8) (22/1 -83%)Faster Bee |
22/1(-83%) | (8) Faster Bee 22/1, Produced a better effort back down in trip when beaten 3 1/4l off 52 over 8f at Lingfield last time; returning from a short break; acts on soft, good, and all-weather surfaces; suited by 1m and hinted at a return to form. 0-21 and has been off for three months; others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (28/1 -40%)Verona Star |
28/1(-40%) | (1) Verona Star 28/1, No show when stepped up in trip, finishing down the field in a handicap here last time; from a top course trainer; effective at 7/8f and acts best on the all-weather; should come on for that run. Dual course winner, but has plenty to prove after a poor reappearance this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (3) (4/1 -78%)Eden Storm |
4/1(-78%) | (3) Eden Storm 4/1, Returned to form down in trip when landing a handicap by a head off 59 over 7f at Newcastle last time; effective from 7-9f and suited by the all-weather; fairly treated and should remain competitive. All three wins over 7f including twice here, but has run well over this far; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (2) (6/1 -50%)Sceptic |
6/1(-50%) | (2) Sceptic 6/1, Won by 1/2l off 56 over 7f here two starts ago; good effort when fourth beaten 3 1/4l off 60 last time having made too much use of; effective from 7-10f on this surface; reliable at the trip. Dual course winner; running well lately and return to this trip no problem; high on list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (150/1 -355%)Bitcoin Profit |
150/1(-355%) | (11) Bitcoin Profit 150/1, Poor effort off a break when down the field in an 8f handicap at Newcastle last time; effective at 7/8f and acts on the all-weather; should improve for the run but still has something to prove. Sole win came over C&D in April last year, but hasn't matched that form since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (80/1 -60%)Marion's Boy |
80/1(-60%) | (7) Marion's Boy 80/1, Another poor effort when down the field in a handicap here last time; effective at 10f and acts on the all-weather; has regressed significantly since returning from a 15-month break. Can't be entertained on his performances since returning for this yard in September. |

EDEN STORM returned to winning ways over 7f at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago and a 1lb rise may not be enough to stop the five-year-old from following up here. Sceptic has also been in good form over 7f of late and the step up in trip may help his chances, while Francesi and Faster Bee are next best.

The vote goes to EDEN STORM whose two course wins have come over 7f, but he should be fine over today's trip.

4th (8) (10/1 -264%)Spirit Lead Me |
10/1(-264%) | (8) Spirit Lead Me 10/1, Back to better form and not all out when landing a handicap by 2l off 70 over 8f at Southwell last time; off a short break; effective 7-8f, suited by AW; mark reflects latest win. 4-8 on the AW; bids for a hat-trick after two wins in September; up 7lb but a major player. |

20/1(-150%) | (2) Empirestateofmind 20/1, Below form back in a handicap when beaten 7l over 8f at Doncaster last time; effective at 7-8f, acts on any going; had been in form until latest effort, albeit at lower levels. Best recent efforts have come in conditions sellers and well held back in handicap latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (10/3 +67%)Crack Shot |
10/3(+67%) | (3) Crack Shot 10/3, No obvious excuse when finishing down the field in a 10f handicap at Pontefract most recent; in good form prior; effective at 8-10f; consistent until latest. Tailed off at Pontefract last time and losing run up to 14; others are more compelling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (12/1 -85%)Sailthisshipalone |
12/1(-85%) | (7) Sailthisshipalone 12/1, Ran to form when landing a handicap by a nose off 73 over 8f at Musselburgh last time; visor first time; effective at 7-8f, acts on any going; back in form and remains on a competitive mark. 2lb higher than when just winning at Musselburgh last time; held in one AW start; visor on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (3/1 +0%)Epictetus |
3/1(+0%) | (1) Epictetus 3/1, Made too much use of when beaten 4l off a mark of 90 here last time; suited by 8-10f, acts on any going; mark easing but appears to be regressing. Not as good as he was, but hasn't run badly in his last two starts; worth a second look. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (40/1 -21%)Not Me |
40/1(-21%) | (5) Not Me 40/1, Not clear run and found little when in the clear down the field in a 10f handicap at Newcastle most recent; effective 1m-10f; form going the wrong way. 0-7 and failed to beat a rival on stable debut in May; off another 198 days since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (11/1 +56%)Eagle Day |
11/1(+56%) | (9) Eagle Day 11/1, Far too free and lit up by first-time visor when finishing down the field in an 8f handicap at Southwell most recent; off a short break; effective at 8-10f, suited by AW; currently out of form. Four wins here and 9lb below the latest, but he has been below form lately. |

The hat-trick seeking Spirit Lead Me has to be noted, but a 7lb rise for the latest of his wins is a concern. As a result, the vote goes to CRACK SHOT, who struggled on soft ground last time but his previous second at Newcastle gives him a big chance in this company. Empirestateofmind, Epictetus and Tribal Wisdom are others with valid form claims.

The vote goes to SPIRIT LEAD ME, a progressive 3yo who can defy a 7lb rise and make it 5-9 on the AW. Hitched is feared most.

1st (7) (4/5 +82%)Sarab Star |
4/5(+82%) | (7) Sarab Star 4/5, Raced a bit freely but ran to form when beaten a neck off 88 at Kempton last time. Effective over 6-7f on a sound surface. Has a good strike rate for his short career and looks well handicapped. First and second in two starts at Kempton since returning in August; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (28/1 -133%)Serengeti |
28/1(-133%) | (2) Serengeti 28/1, Returned to form when dropped in grade, winning a handicap by 1 1/2l off 95 at Naas last time. Suited by 7f and acts on yielding and all-weather surfaces. Back in form but the mark looks on the high side for this stable debut. Dual winner for Aidan O'Brien including on Polytrack; worth a market check on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (16/1 -256%)So Darn Hot |
16/1(-256%) | (3) So Darn Hot 16/1, Forced to switch before improving to land a handicap by 1 1/4l off 93 over 6f at Windsor last time. Effective at 6f and acts on soft, good to firm and all-weather. Showed significant progress when last seen in the spring. 4-10 for previous yard; watch market on stable debut after six months off; should stay 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/1 +8%)Crown Board |
6/1(+8%) | (1) Crown Board 6/1, Returned to form when dropped in grade and trip, landing a handicap by 6l off a mark of 95 at Sandown last time. Suited by 7f to 1m and acts on soft, good and all-weather. The ground may have exaggerated the margin but he still looks fairly treated and unexposed at 7f. Won on his debut (here) and his latest start in equally emphatic fashion; not dismissed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (14/1 +36%)Grand Traverse |
14/1(+36%) | (5) Grand Traverse 14/1, Had every chance and ran to form when beaten 5l in a handicap at Kempton last time, having been in good form beforehand. Cheekpieces are fitted for the first time. Effective at 7f and acts on all-weather. Progressive but may now be on a stiff mark. Still 7lb higher than when winning at Kempton in August; others stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (8/1 -23%)Conscript |
8/1(-23%) | (8) Conscript 8/1, Ran to form to defy a penalty when winning a novice at Kempton by 2l last time. Trainer in good form. Effective at 6-7f and acts on good ground. Progressive type whose penultimate form has been franked, though the handicap mark asks for more. Bids for a hat-trick on handicap debut; not sure where the ceiling of his ability lies. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (9/2 -13%)Al Arbeed |
9/2(-13%) | (6) Al Arbeed 9/2, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off 94 over 8f at Southwell last time. Effective at 7-8f and acts on a sound surface. Consistent performer with his handicap debut form subsequently franked. Ran well on his return from six months off last time (form boosted); shouldn't be far away. |

All of these have claims, but none more so than CROWN BOARD, who took advantage of a falling mark when bolting up at Sandown in September. A 7lb rise for that six-length win appears to be fair and the five-year-old could take some stopping. No Retreat struggled in the Buckingham Palace when last seen at Royal Ascot but his previous form is consistent and he may benefit from a wind operation. So Darn Hot and Al Arbeed are also noted.

The selection is MORTE POINT who keeps on improving and is just 2lb higher than when dead-heating at Southwell last time.

10/11(+67%) | (10) Crown The Future 10/11, Outpaced and never threatened when beaten 9l in a 5f maiden at Catterick last time but showed improvement on that final qualifying run. Has plenty of speed in his pedigree. Opening mark looks fair though stamina for longer trip is uncertain. May improve now handicapping and back up in distance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (11) (16/1 -14%)Forceful Lady |
16/1(-14%) | (11) Forceful Lady 16/1, Ran to form but possibly outstayed late when fourth, beaten 10l in an 8f nursery at Bath last time. From a top course trainer. Showed little in earlier 6–7f maidens but a slight drop in trip could suit though she needs more. Has something to prove back on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (13/2 +59%)Molly Mac |
13/2(+59%) | (1) Molly Mac 13/2, Far too free in front when finishing down the field in a nursery here most recently. Had been in good form prior. Wears a hood for the first time and may prefer 7f now. Mark looks competitive and she acts on sound surfaces. May benefit from first-time hood on debut for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/1 +9%)Twilight Serenade |
10/1(+9%) | (6) Twilight Serenade 10/1, Never competitive after missing the break when beaten 7l in a nursery over 8f at Southwell last time. Visor on for the first time. Effective at 6–7f but has something to prove in handicaps and on the AW. Chance depends on how well he responds to first-time headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (20/1 -67%)Shush A Minute |
20/1(-67%) | (5) Shush A Minute 20/1, Improved effort when beaten 8 1/2l in a 6f maiden at Southwell last time. Cheekpieces tried for the first time. Has plenty of speed in her pedigree, though the yard's runners often need more time. Combination of new trip and first-time headgear needs to help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (10/1 +38%)Lady Birgma |
10/1(+38%) | (4) Lady Birgma 10/1, Yard won this race last year. Made too much use of when comfortably held in a novice at Southwell last time. Visor fitted for the first time. Off a short break and effective at 7f on the AW. Small filly but likeable, though limited. Produced her best RPR over C&D; fitted with headgear back here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (4/1 +47%)Oh So Perfect |
4/1(+47%) | (9) Oh So Perfect 4/1, Green but ran to form when fourth, beaten 4 1/4l in a 6f nursery at Chelmsford last time. Effective at 6f and consistent on sound surfaces. Step up in trip should help and she looks fairly treated on novice form. Possibilities, provided she shows progress for the new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (66/1 -450%)Rendita |
66/1(-450%) | (2) Rendita 66/1, Outpaced and ran poorly when comfortably held in a 6f maiden at Southwell last time. Cheekpieces applied for the first time. Bred to sprint and may be more of a handicap type, but her opening mark demands improvement. New trip and first-time headgear are possible sources of improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (33/1 -18%)Will He Shine |
33/1(-18%) | (12) Will He Shine 33/1, Up in trip but didn't get home when well beaten in a Southwell nursery last time. Represents a top course trainer and returns from a break. Yet to show much and has stamina concerns. Weak claims on form; gelded since last run. |

Crown The Future has shown little in three starts in maiden/novice company but could prove a different proposition on his nursery bow. Even so, WOODY Y FERNANDEZ looks the way to go. He made the frame at Chelmsford on his most recent start and goes off an unchanged mark. This looks a winnable contest and he could take advantage. C&D winner Calypso Breeze isn't ruled out either.

There are major plus points as regards CALYPSO BREEZE, who is first choice ahead of Molly Mac.

2nd (5) (17/2 -89%)Ritaal |
17/2(-89%) | (5) Ritaal 17/2, Made a very promising debut when runner-up, beaten 5 1/2l in a maiden over 7f here on her only start. This is her second run after a wind operation. Effective at 7f and acts on the all-weather; drop in trip may suit and she should progress. Second of four on debut over 7f here this month; open to improvement and respected. |

3rd (9) (4/1 +38%)Zooella |
4/1(+38%) | (9) Zooella 4/1, Improved from her debut when second, beaten 2 1/2l in a novice at Southwell last time. Effective over 6f on the all-weather and arrives in good form. Improved from her debut when second of ten at Southwell last month; shortlisted. |

9/1(-100%) | (6) Sound And Vision 9/1, Bit green but a promising debut when beaten 3 1/4l in a novice here on debut. Has a wide draw but effective over 6f and acts on the all-weather; should improve with experience. Finished well when fifth of eight on her debut over C&D this month; ought to improve. |

11/1(-83%) | (4) Moira Express 11/1, Ran to form when second, beaten 4 1/4l in a nursery over 5f here on her latest start. Effective at 5f and suited by the all-weather; arrives in good form. Placed in two nurseries; not really progressing but the return to this trip may suit. |

12/1(+14%) | (7) Star Of Commala 12/1, 8 Feb; 4,000gns Starman filly; probably best watched. Stable does have winning 2yo newcomers so worth a glance in the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (200/1 -300%)Frankali |
200/1(-300%) | (3) Frankali 200/1, Too green to show anything on debut when well beaten in a maiden at Southwell on her only start. Drawn wide, speedily bred, and has everything to prove. Blew the start when well beaten on last month's Southwell debut; improvement required. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (66/1 -32%)Ezera |
66/1(-32%) | (2) Ezera 66/1, 17 Mar; 32,000 euros Oasis Dream filly; half-sister to Enziya, useful at 8f; dam useful at 7f; tough enough task on debut. May need further in due course so best watched on debut. |

RITAAL only found a more experienced rival too good on debut over 7f here at the start of the month, shaping as if this drop in trip might be a good move. The daughter of Showcasing could have any amount of improvement to come and looks the way to go. Zooella occupied the runner-up berth at Southwell latest and it would be no surprise to see her feature. Any market confidence behind 90,000gns purchase Stole My Heart would be interesting.

This can go to RITAAL who looked open to plenty of improvement when chasing home a rival who had already shown ability on her debut.

18/1(-50%) | (9) Midnight Call 18/1, Had every chance and ran to form when 4 1/4l third in a handicap at Bath last time. From a top course trainer, returning from a break with a wide draw. Effective at 5f to 6f and fair at this level. Promise in the summer; lightly raced and likely to be winning races this winter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (7/4 +13%)Alafdhal |
7/4(+13%) | (1) Alafdhal 7/4, Returned to form when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off a mark of 52 over 5f here last time. Trainer in form. Effective from 5f to 6f and remains on a workable mark. Likes the track. Well-backed winner over C&D on Saturday; still on a good mark despite the 4lb penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (17/2 -42%)Havana Club |
17/2(-42%) | (5) Havana Club 17/2, Unsuited by the drop in trip when beaten 1 1/4l off 53 over 7f here last time. Suited by 7f to 8f and consistent, but the shorter distance may not be ideal. Best form over 1m but latest 7f run suggested this trip might suit; one to take seriously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (10/1 +17%)Under Curfew |
10/1(+17%) | (10) Under Curfew 10/1, No obvious excuse when beaten 6l in a handicap here last time. From a top course trainer and suited by 5f to 6f, stays 7f. Can act on this surface and looks well handicapped despite erratic tendencies. C&D win in February came off 4lb higher; in and out since but he can't be discounted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (13) (10/1 +38%)Rogue Thunder |
10/1(+38%) | (13) Rogue Thunder 10/1, Never competitive having missed the break when beaten 7l in a handicap at Newcastle last time. Usually held up and effective at 6f to 7f. Needs to find more. C&D winner; not fired in three starts since May; something to prove for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (100/1 -52%)Genius Mistake |
100/1(-52%) | (4) Genius Mistake 100/1, Far too free and needed the run when down the field in a handicap over 7f at Newcastle last time. Effective at 5f or 6f but yet to confirm maiden form and has plenty to prove for her new yard. 125-1 and tailed off on recent stable debut (7f); hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (14/1 +13%)Sisters In The Sky |
14/1(+13%) | (11) Sisters In The Sky 14/1, Outpaced and had a bit too much to do when beaten 5l in a handicap over 5f at Bath last time. Usually held up and has a wide draw. Bath regular on a fair mark, and the step back up in trip should suit. Conditions no problem and has the ability to win at this level; tricky draw to negotiate. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (17/2 -6%)Rinky Tinky Tinky |
17/2(-6%) | (6) Rinky Tinky Tinky 17/2, Outpaced and never threatened when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Brighton last time. Blinkers go on for the first time. Off a short break and suited by 6f, but has been in poor form lately. Well treated on spring form but recent efforts not her best; blinkers now reached for. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (3/1 +25%)Smasher |
3/1(+25%) | (2) Smasher 3/1, Scored by a neck off 53 at Kempton three starts ago and ran to form when second beaten 2l off 55 last time. Effective at 6f and consistent, remaining fairly treated. Three-time C&D winner who comes here in good form; inexperienced apprentice booked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (10/1 +29%)Hint Of The Jungle |
10/1(+29%) | (3) Hint Of The Jungle 10/1, Scored by a neck off 52 at Southwell on his penultimate start. Far too free up in trip and didn't stay when seventh beaten 4l off 55 last time. Off a short break and the drop in trip should help. 6f win at Southwell in September but failed to back it up over 7f here later that month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (50/1 -79%)Titus Thor |
50/1(-79%) | (8) Titus Thor 50/1, Up in trip and probably didn't stay when well beaten in a novice over 8f at Kempton last time. Sprint-bred and looks a no-hoper on current evidence. Big prices and well beaten in three Kempton novice runs; this looks more suitable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (150/1 -200%)Lady Ava |
150/1(-200%) | (12) Lady Ava 150/1, Raced wide, below form and far too keen when beaten 10l in a classified race over 9f here last time. Returning from a long layoff with a wide draw. Effective at 7f but out of form. Well beaten in three runs for this yard last winter; absent ten months; risky. |

SMASHER hasn't finished outside the top two on each of his last three starts, with all of those efforts coming over this trip at Kempton. The son of Dandy Man is a three-time C&D winner and has James Glennon claiming a handy 7lb in the plate. Midnight Call hit the frame at Bath in July and warrants a market check on her return from a break. Havana Club appeals most of the remainder.

Alafdhal is the solid one but TRIPLE CHARGED could be revived by a change of scenery and he's well handicapped if that is the case.

Acts on this surface and has very limited turf form; erratic performer. Good 2nd at Lingfield four weeks ago; runs off the same mark and should be involved again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

12/1(-60%) | (7) The Cola Kid 12/1, Well placed and ran to form when beaten 2l off 45 at Kempton last time. Effective 5-7f and acts on this surface; should be fine stepping back up in trip. Arrives on the back of two good AW runs but suspicion a few others will prove stronger. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

10/1(-25%) | (1) Hannah's Return 10/1, Needed the run when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Brighton last time; off a short break. Effective 5-7f, best up with the pace on a sound surface; inconsistent and must prove ability remains after a layoff. Did well in 2024; should be sharper for belated reappearance; cheekpieces return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (10/3 +67%)Rock Master |
10/3(+67%) | (9) Rock Master 10/3, Made too much use of when beaten 2 1/4l off 48 over 7f here last time. From a top course trainer; effective 6/7f on a sound surface; consistent maiden. Didn't get home under a positive ride over 7f here on stable debut; respected back at 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (66/1 -100%)Limonata |
66/1(-100%) | (4) Limonata 66/1, Never travelled and was disappointing on handicap debut, finishing down the field over 7f here last time. Blinkers applied for the first time; pedigree suggests speed but has looked very limited so far. Drops in trip with blinkers added but hard to recommend on racecourse evidence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (11/1 +45%)Red Walls |
11/1(+45%) | (11) Red Walls 11/1, Made too much use of when beaten 9l in a handicap over 7f here last time. Suited by 6f and acts on this surface; best from the front but erratic overall. Conditions to suit and has a handy draw; no surprise to see him give a good account. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (40/1 -100%)Symbol Of Hope |
40/1(-100%) | (12) Symbol Of Hope 40/1, Below form when beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Wide draw; effective 5-6f on this surface; goes well at Bath but remains out of form. Hint of promise over C&D last month; hasn't fared well with the draw though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (13) (25/1 -79%)Sold Out |
25/1(-79%) | (13) Sold Out 25/1, No obvious excuse when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 7f at Newcastle last time. Cheekpieces fitted for the first time; pedigree suggests speed but yet to show any significant ability. Modest form so far; hopes rest on the drop in trip/addition of headgear giving him a lift. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (16/1 -14%)Victors Dream |
16/1(-14%) | (10) Victors Dream 16/1, Did plenty early when beaten 6 1/4l in a classified race over 5f at Yarmouth last time. Returning from a break; wide draw; effective 5f on this surface but currently out of form. Hard to win with and not at his best at Yarmouth when last seen in August; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (22/1 -57%)Sarabi |
22/1(-57%) | (8) Sarabi 22/1, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/2l off 49 over 5f here last time. Wide draw but suited by 6f; effective 5f on this surface and headgear has proved beneficial so far. 6f AW win in June; mixed bag since and she has the widest stall to overcome tonight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (3) (18/1 -50%)Global Effort |
18/1(-50%) | (3) Global Effort 18/1, Faced a tough task and was below form when comfortably held in a handicap over 5f at Yarmouth last time. Trainer in form; effective at 5f on a sound surface; out of form but back on last winning mark and drops in grade. Conditions to suit but he needs to bounce back from three lesser efforts. |

WOODHAY WHISPER looks the one to be on. She put in a much-improved effort when second at Lingfield last time out and might not need much more in order to strike. Hannah's Return is a C&D winner who cannot go unconsidered, while you can also make a solid case for The Cola Kid, who has been knocking on the door.

In a trappy race WOODHAY WHISPER gets the nod. She comes here on the back of a good run and this may be run to suit.

10/11(+0%) | (2) Night Storm 10/11, Improved when dropped in grade and trip on all-weather debut, winning a maiden at Newcastle by 2l last time; wide draw but tapeta winner who should remain competitive under a penalty. Returning from a very long layoff when winning at Newcastle last month; major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/8 +39%)Leading Times |
11/8(+39%) | (1) Leading Times 11/8, Overcame greenness and a troubled passage for a highly promising debut, winning by a neck in a maiden at Southwell; off a short break; effective over 5f and should come on for the run, with a chance to defy the penalty. Made a winning debut at Southwell despite not all going right; open to improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (18/1 -140%)Peregrine Falcon |
18/1(-140%) | (7) Peregrine Falcon 18/1, Ran to form when 6l third in a maiden over 6f here last time; effective at 5f and acts on all-weather; consistent type who should give another solid showing. Has regressed since beaten a nose on stable debut over C&D in April; place claims at best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (66/1 +18%)Harry Mole |
66/1(+18%) | (3) Harry Mole 66/1, A bit free but improved from debut when fourth, beaten 7 1/4l in a novice over 6f at Catterick last time; speedily bred and still learning, though may need to prove himself on the all-weather. Small improvement when fourth on second start, but looks one for modest handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (16/1 +27%)Special Acclaim |
16/1(+27%) | (4) Special Acclaim 16/1, Fair debut, not best placed after missing the break, beaten 7l in a 6f maiden at Chelmsford; wide draw but speed in pedigree, and should have more to offer. Not seen since fifth on Chelmsford debut in March; drop in trip not an obvious positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (10/1 -11%)Wholehearted |
10/1(-11%) | (9) Wholehearted 10/1, Modest debut when 7l fourth in a 6f maiden at Ffos Las; trainer in form and returns from a break; speed in pedigree, so could improve dropped in trip. Not seen since fourth on Ffos Las debut in August; drop in trip may suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (150/1 0%)Sally Anne's Dream |
150/1(0%) | (8) Sally Anne's Dream 150/1, Made too much use of and was beaten 8l in a handicap at Catterick last time; blinkers on for the first time; off a short break; poor in general but has shown some early speed over 5f. Poor form in 11 starts with a top RPR of 42; new headgear combination. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (40/1 -122%)Natural Rhythm |
40/1(-122%) | (6) Natural Rhythm 40/1, Starspangledbanner filly; half-sister to Hopeful Dream, useful at 7f as a two-year-old; dam fair at 10f; faces a tough enough task on debut. The only newcomer in the field and worth monitoring in the market. |

Night Storm improved for this debut spin at Newmarket when landing a maiden at Newcastle last time. There should be more to come, but this won't be easy because he's pitched in against another last-time-out scorer in LEADING TIMES and he created a lasting impression when making his Southwell introduction a winning one. Wholehearted is best of the rest for Clive Cox.

Slight preference is for LEADING TIMES who managed to make a winning debut at Southwell in September despite plenty going wrong.

14/1(0%) | (4) I'd Go Maniac 14/1, Outpaced and outclassed when comfortably held in a novice at Ascot last time. Returns from a short break; effective from 10f to 12f and acts on AW; six runs over hurdles and bumpers, may have reached level on Flat but mark is fair. Open to improvement now handicapping and market support would be interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (15/2 -67%)Lightning Touch |
15/2(-67%) | (5) Lightning Touch 15/2, Every chance but below form when beaten 8l in a handicap over 11f at Southwell last time. Had been in good form prior; trainer in form; effective from 10f to 12f and suited by a sound surface. Beaten a head by Percy Jones over C&D in August and 2lb better off but has regressed since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (5/1 +55%)Moon Sniper |
5/1(+55%) | (8) Moon Sniper 5/1, Won by a head off 70 at Newcastle on penultimate start but below form up in grade when eighth, beaten 14l off 73 last time. Effective from 8f to 12f and acts on AW; generally consistent performer. Mixed fortunes in last two starts at Newcastle; tame effort last time; has to bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/3 +5%)Brodie's Boy |
10/3(+5%) | (6) Brodie's Boy 10/3, Returned to form down in grade when beaten 1/2l off 67 here last time. Trained by a top course trainer; effective from 10f to 12f and best on AW; unreliable but fairly treated if building on latest effort. Ran his best race for this yard when a close second over C&D last month; each-way claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (5/1 +69%)Crackergee |
5/1(+69%) | (9) Crackergee 5/1, Made his move too soon and weakened quickly when down the field in a handicap at Kempton most recently. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time; effective up to 12f on AW; inconsistent. Disappointing since going close on his reappearance at Kempton in May; tongue-tie on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (40/1 -21%)Skycutter |
40/1(-21%) | (3) Skycutter 40/1, Outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a handicap at Newcastle latest. Likes to make the running and is suited by 2m; needs to prove he retains ability after a break. Three starts back on the Flat since returning in September leave him with a lot to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (6/1 -50%)Aiming High |
6/1(-50%) | (2) Aiming High 6/1, Won by 2l off 71 at Lingfield on penultimate start and ran to form when second, beaten 3/4l off 73 last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (16/1 -129%)Alta Rica |
16/1(-129%) | (7) Alta Rica 16/1, Every chance but below form on handicap debut when beaten 5l over 10f at Bath last time. Previously in good form; effective at 10f and may stay 12f in time; worth another chance in handicaps. Hung on handicap debut, but may be suited by this longer trip and remains unexposed. |

A winner at Lingfield two starts ago and then a close-up second in what looked a decent race at Southwell last time, AIMING HIGH arrives in good nick and looks the safest play in this trappy finale. Brodie's Boy would have every chance if building on his latest course second, while Lightning Touch can also get competitive off her current mark.

The choice is PERCY JONES (nap) now back in a Class 5 for the first time since successful over C&D in August.
Ths is the racecard key.
