10/3(+49%) | (9) T Or Coffey 10/3, Ran to recent level when beaten 6l in a handicap here last time; effective 12-16f, suited by AW; capable off this mark. Narrow defeat at Wolverhampton (2m); no real impact over C&D latest; too soon to rule out. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (9/2 +40%)Different Drum |
9/2(+40%) | (4) Different Drum 9/2, May have needed the run when down the field in a handicap at Newcastle most recently, having been in good form before. Effective up to 2m1f and acts on all-weather. Generally a consistent performer. Fairly unexposed at about 2m; has won on Newcastle AW; close 2nd in July; can play part. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (25/1 -150%)Glitter Code |
25/1(-150%) | (6) Glitter Code 25/1, Travelled well and ran to form when beaten a neck off 59 over 10f at Leicester last time. Suited by 8f to 12f and acts on all-weather. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (14/1 -100%)Throne Hall |
14/1(-100%) | (5) Throne Hall 14/1, Had the run of the race and ran to form in a new headgear combination when landing a handicap by 3/4l off 54 over 2m1f at Bath last time. Suited by 14f to 17f and acts on all-weather. Respected off 2lb higher. Multiple turf wins; 0-9 on AW; new tongue-tie may have helped for recent Bath win (2m1f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (12) (100/1 -52%)Raincloud |
100/1(-52%) | (12) Raincloud 100/1, Again ran to a poor level when down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Market Rasen last time. Effective up to 12f on the Flat and acts on all-weather. Needs more back on the level. Maiden; lots to prove on hurdle/Flat form this year, all at big prices. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (150/1 -127%)Rhyme Scheme |
150/1(-127%) | (11) Rhyme Scheme 150/1, Outclassed when pulled up in the bet365 Mares' Hurdle (Listed) at Wetherby last time. Not proven beyond 8f on the Flat but acts on all-weather. Faces a tough task here. Two Flat wins in 2021, at 7f/1m; off since last November and can only watch. |

Young Endless posted another gritty display when completing a double here recently and merits respect in his hat-trick bid. However, a 5lb penalty demands another career-best performance from the six-year-old and preference is for DAARIS. Kevin Frost's charge arrives on the back of a good second at Lingfield and, off an untouched mark, compensation could be on the cards. Last-time-out winners Zooks and Throne Hall are others to consider.

Young Endless is respected but DIFFERENT DRUM could yet have more to come at 2m and should be all the better for his recent run.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (15/8 +71%)Loving Queen |
15/8(+71%) | (10) Loving Queen 15/8, Improved on a modest debut when fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a novice over 7f at Kempton last time; has more to offer back up in trip. Showed promise at Kempton and she's open to more progress back up in trip; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (10/1 +29%)Hotel California |

250/1(-67%) | (2) Amalou 250/1, Again failed to beat a rival when well beaten in a novice over 9f at Wolverhampton latest; yet to find suitable conditions and may need more time. Has useful pedigree but she's failed to beat a rival in both her runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) (80/1 -142%)Dash Of Class |
80/1(-142%) | (4) Dash Of Class 80/1, Too keen and modest debut when well beaten in a novice over 7f at Kempton on her only start; bred for middle distances on the dam's side and should improve. 33-1 at Kempton last month and she finished a remote sixth of nine. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

16/1(-220%) | (12) Sound Gloria 16/1, 27 Apr; Nathaniel filly; full-sister to Sound Janet, useful from 9f (at two) to 12f; top yard can get them ready on debut and worth a market check. Yard 23% with 2yos this year and interesting to see how she figures in market on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (3) (50/1 -52%)Cospicua |
50/1(-52%) | (3) Cospicua 50/1, Made a modest debut when well beaten in a novice over 7f at Kempton on her only start; likely to want 10f or further and one for handicaps at three. 50-1 on Kempton debut last month and she finished a well-held seventh of nine. |

Having built on her opening sixth at Newmarket when finishing fourth at Kempton last month, Loving Queen is heading in the right direction. A drop into class 5 company should suit the Gosdens' filly, but stablemate FLAGPOLE could be the type to make a winning debut. The daughter of Starspangledbanner fetched 375,000gns in the yearling sales and connections will be hoping to recoup some of that expenditure here. Sound Gloria, Royal Poetry and K Sarra could also have a say.

The vote goes to the Gosdens' newcomer FLAGPOLE who cost 375,000gns as a yearling and is out of a sister to a Group 1 winner.

1st (4) (7/4 -27%)Brixson |
7/4(-27%) | (4) Brixson 7/4, Outpaced with too much to do but improved when second, beaten 2 1/2l in a novice hurdle over 2m at Wetherby last time. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Can improve when stepped up in trip. Ran well at Wetherby on reappearance; leading player on form and bred to do better still. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/4 +39%)So You Know |
11/4(+39%) | (1) So You Know 11/4, Outpaced and needed every yard at a sharp track, showing a very promising debut following a wind operation when winning a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon over 2m by 1/2l last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground but needs a bit more to defy the penalty. Got up late at Huntingdon and should build on that success; bred to rate higher still. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (4/1 -33%)Abbey Scope |
4/1(-33%) | (2) Abbey Scope 4/1, Green but very promising on debut when winning a bumper over 2m at Kelso by 3 1/4l. Looks a potential threat with promise of more to come over hurdles. Promising debut (won going away) in Kelso bumper seven months ago; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/1 +55%)Kop Land |
9/1(+55%) | (6) Kop Land 9/1, Green and made mistakes, needing the run when down the field in a novice hurdle over 2m at Chepstow last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good to soft ground. Should improve for the reappearance if jumping is more fluent. May do better with Chepstow reappearance under his belt; nicely bred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (150/1 -127%)The Final Brig |
150/1(-127%) | (8) The Final Brig 150/1, Unseated in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Wetherby last time. Best watched for now. Far from solid. |

300/1(-200%) | (5) Kit The Christian 300/1, Outpaced and ran poorly when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Wetherby last time. Yet to show much and likely to need more time. Plenty to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (300/1 -50%)Blazing Nelson |
300/1(-50%) | (3) Blazing Nelson 300/1, Made mistakes and was outpaced, finishing below debut form when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Southwell last time. Will need more time and further than 2m. Poor form in two rules attempts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (7) (10/3 -33%)Quaviste |
10/3(-33%) | (7) Quaviste 10/3, Green and made mistakes, needing the run on hurdle debut after a wind operation when well beaten in a novice hurdle over 2m at Stratford last time. Now on second run after wind surgery; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft ground. Highly tried in bumpers and could improve from hurdle debut. Skelton runner who may yet confirm the promise of debut win; second attempt over hurdles. |

Abbey Scope won going away on his sole bumper start at Kelso in April and is an interesting contender on his first outing over timber for the in-form Nicky Richards yard. However, BRIXSON produced a much better performance when second at Wetherby at the start of the month and could take another step forward to strike. More was expected of Quaviste when only eighth at Stratford last month and he isn't one to write off.

In terms of hurdles form, BRIXSON holds the best chance while So You Know warrants respect with further progress plausible.

28/1(-27%) | (6) Hurricane Laughter 28/1, Ran to debut level when beaten 6l in a novice at Kempton last time; bred to be effective around 7f and may prove more of a handicap type. Hint of ability in two runs this autumn but still looks one for the longer term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (250/1 -150%)Boy Star |
250/1(-150%) | (3) Boy Star 250/1, Improved on a modest debut when beaten 7l in a novice here last time; bred to want 7f or further and should improve with time. Modest form in two novice runs last month; looks a longer-term prospect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (125/1 -150%)Barbury Boy |
125/1(-150%) | (1) Barbury Boy 125/1, Well below debut level when comfortably held in a novice over 8f at Nottingham last time; likely to want at least 10f and looks one for handicaps as a 3yo. Well-beaten 6th in two 8.3f novice events at Nottingham; handicaps more suitable in time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (9) (100/1 -355%)Roc De Fer |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (14/1 -100%)Von Dutch |
14/1(-100%) | (13) Von Dutch 14/1, 12 Feb; 325,000gns Wootton Bassett colt; full-brother to County Mayo, very useful at 8f; trainer in form and could go well on debut. 325,000gns yearling; brother to a 1m 2yo winner out of an unraced mare from a top family. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (14) (250/1 -150%)Come As You Are |
250/1(-150%) | (14) Come As You Are 250/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a maiden over 6f at Newcastle on only start; should be effective at 7f or further and likely to improve with time. 50-1 when last of seven at Newcastle (6f) last week; hard to recommend. |

A half-brother to French Listed winner Ziegfeld, ORGANISE ticks plenty of the right boxes on his opening bid. The Night Of Thunder colt was acquired for 360,000gns and boasts enough speed in his pedigree to score at this distance. It will be interesting to see how fellow newcomer The Stone Power compares in the market and he isn't taken lightly, while Space Invasion is the pick of the remainder.

This looks good for one of the newcomers. THE STONE POWER is marginally preferred to Von Dutch and Organise.

Effective between 2m and 3m, that latest form has been boosted and he looks open to further progress. Improved form upped to 3m on handicap/seasonal debut when scoring at Ayr; key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (7/2 +84%)Farmer Jimmy |
7/2(+84%) | (7) Farmer Jimmy 7/2, Made too much use of when back from a break and needed the run, finishing well beaten in a 2m5f handicap hurdle here last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m on soft or good ground; had been in good form prior to his reappearance. Won here (2m3f) in February but he's not gone on from that and others are preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (8/1 -23%)Streamsforth Lad |
8/1(-23%) | (4) Streamsforth Lad 8/1, Outpaced but rallied and ran to form when beaten 1/2l off 95 over 2m4f at Southwell last time. Trainer is in form and he's effective at 2m4f on good ground; consistent performer. 0-13 but was close third at Hexham and he looks worth another try at this trip; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (18/1 +0%)Star Vantage |
18/1(+0%) | (9) Star Vantage 18/1, Needed the run and was poorly placed in a race dominated from the front when beaten 9l in a 2m7f Hexham handicap hurdle last time. Usually held up and returning from a short break; effective at 3m, a consistent but frustrating maiden. 0-24 over hurdles and was quiet on his reappearance at Hexham last month; down the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (6/1 +8%)It's Maisy |
6/1(+8%) | (6) It's Maisy 6/1, Made mistakes and was a bit below form on ground quicker than ideal when fourth beaten 16l in a Newcastle handicap hurdle last time. Effective around 3m and suited by softer conditions; should improve for the run with the yard going well. May have needed her comeback run and has claims if she can get back near best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (18/1 -80%)Rioja Alta |
18/1(-80%) | (1) Rioja Alta 18/1, Below form when stepped up in grade off a revised mark, finishing well beaten in a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Hexham last time. Had been in good form beforehand; effective from 2 1/2m to 2 3/4m and still looks on a fair mark based on flat form. May have needed his reappearance run and could resume his progress at this new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (22/1 +21%)Dillarchie |
22/1(+21%) | (11) Dillarchie 22/1, Needed the run when comfortably held in a 2m7f handicap hurdle at Hexham last time. Effective at 3m and beyond but needs to prove her ability remains after a layoff. Well treated on old form but she's struggled in last three runs including on recent return. |

BUZZ ICECLEAR only won narrowly at Ayr earlier in the month but both the second and third have won impressively since. With that in mind, the son of Sea Moon is hard to oppose off a 5lb higher mark here. Streamsforth Lad was a close third at Southwell last time and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Piaff Bubbles and Rioja Alta complete the shortlist.

Top of the list is BUZZ ICECLEAR, who battled well when scoring on his handicap/seasonal debut at Ayr and is open to more progress.

5/1(-167%) | (2) Devon Skies 5/1, Quickened clear cosily and improved under a positive ride when dropping in trip to win a handicap by 6l off 87 over 2m4f at Sedgefield last time; effective at around 2–2½m and progressing now she's got her head in front. Maiden prior to completing a double at Sedgefield this month; respected in current form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (14/1 +22%)Time Was |
14/1(+22%) | (8) Time Was 14/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Cartmel last time; effective at about 2½–3m but an inconsistent maiden overall. Not solid on recent form and remains a maiden under rules. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (10/1 +29%)Little Big Kev |
10/1(+29%) | (1) Little Big Kev 10/1, Travelled well when stepped up in trip, possibly outstayed late and may have needed the run after a wind operation when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Uttoxeter last time; effective at about 2½m, and the drop in trip looks a plus. Shaped better than the bare result on handicap debut when last seen; open to improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (11/2 -22%)After Many Days |
11/2(-22%) | (4) After Many Days 11/2, Returned to form down in trip, just flattening out late back from a break when beaten 3l off 83 over 2m4f at Hereford last time; effective at about 2½m; a frustrating maiden who could be running into form. Posted one of her better efforts last time, namely keeping-on second at Hereford. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (3/1 -20%)Little Wren |
3/1(-20%) | (9) Little Wren 3/1, Outpaced and never threatened when down the field in a novice hurdle over 2m at Worcester last time; usually held up and yet to show much; has shown little so far for a top yard, though the longer trip may help on handicap debut. Skelton runner who may improve markedly now handicapping over new trip; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (8/1 -7%)Tees Comp's Clive |
8/1(-7%) | (7) Tees Comp's Clive 8/1, Made mistakes and was unsuited by the drop in trip when second, beaten 14l, in a handicap hurdle at Kelso last time; effective at around 2½–3m; consistent and the step back up in trip could suit. Maiden who brings encouraging recent form and can't be dismissed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (5/1 +55%)Matoury |
5/1(+55%) | (6) Matoury 5/1, Returned to form but conceded first run when 7l third in a handicap hurdle at Wetherby most recently; effective at around 2½–3m though a little inconsistent. Registered sole success over C&D; ran creditably at Wetherby last time; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (25/1 -108%)Doublethetrouble |
25/1(-108%) | (3) Doublethetrouble 25/1, Raced wide but ran to form when beaten 3l off 64 over 2m at Kempton last time; unexposed in this sphere; fair mark on flat form; represents value on the balance of form. Well treated on Flat form but not seen over hurdles since Boxing Day 2022. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (300/1 -200%)Kilnacarra |
300/1(-200%) | (5) Kilnacarra 300/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Sedgefield last time; formerly effective around 2m and acts on good ground; tongue-tie fitted and may need another run. Has shown little in two starts since returning from long layoff. |

After Many Days finished two lengths clear of the third when filling the runner-up spot at Hereford and she could have a say, but the vote goes to DEVON SKIES. Philip Kirby's mare completed a double in comfortable fashion at Sedgefield on her most recent start and a 7lb rise might underestimate that display. In her current mood, she looks tough to oppose. Of the remainder, C&D winner Matoury appeals most.

The Verdict comprises LITTLE BIG KEV and Little Wren who both look open to improvement.

1/1(+43%) | (1) Ten Carat Harry 1/1, Improved again when landing a handicap by a neck off 83 at Lingfield last time; effective at 6f and acts on all-weather; a likeable sort with more to come. Progressive sort who is 3-3 over 6f and on AW, most recently scoring at Lingfield. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (6/1 -50%)Eternal Solace |
6/1(-50%) | (3) Eternal Solace 6/1, Well below form when upped in grade and finished down the field in the Bosra Sham Fillies' Stakes (Listed) at Newmarket last time; effective at 5/6f and acts on all-weather; this looks more realistic. 6f AW winner; had excuse when last latest; potential improver on nursery debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (11/4 +31%)One And Gone |
11/4(+31%) | (5) One And Gone 11/4, Ran to form to get off the mark when winning a novice at Kempton by a length last time; effective at 6f and acts on all-weather; big, likeable sort with more to come but has a penalty. Scored at Kempton (6f, Polytrack) latest; tougher now under 6lb penalty but not ruled out.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (14/1 -40%)Meelaf |
14/1(-40%) | (2) Meelaf 14/1, Below form when down in grade and beaten 6l in a nursery at Newmarket (July) last time; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at 5f; needs more. 5f turf winner; well below par last twice; drops 3lb and in grade; player if revived.. |

5th (4) (40/1 -100%)Trust Amy |
40/1(-100%) | (4) Trust Amy 40/1, Ran to form when beaten 7l in a nursery at Doncaster last time; trainer in form; effective at 6/7f and acts on all-weather; flattered by Listed run. Bit to prove back here after being well held from 2lb higher on nursery debut latest.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (7/1 -133%)Fermain |
7/1(-133%) | (6) Fermain 7/1, Ran to form, eased late when winning a novice at Leicester by a short-head last time; effective at 5/6f, acts on AW; more to offer in handicaps. 6f novice winner; initial mark no giveaway but 5lb claim can help her get involved.. |

TEN CARAT HARRY has won three of his five starts to date and that includes both outings in nursery company. A 2lb rise for the latest of those victories should be workable and Jamie Osborne's gelding tops the shortlist. Meelaf has not been seen since August but she was highly tried earlier in the year and should not be underestimated in this company. Cases can be made for all of the remainder, but Fermain is the pick of them.

An interesting nursery where we'll stick with the tried and tested TEN CARAT HARRY, who looked to have a bit in hand again last time.

4/1(+60%) | (8) Throatlash 4/1, Pulled up in a novice chase over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee last time; returning from a long layoff; effective at 2m and acts with cut; likely capable of better judged on point form but mark looks stiff. Point winner; tough task when pulled up on chase debut; more realistic now in a handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (10/3 +49%)My Noble Lord |
10/3(+49%) | (7) My Noble Lord 10/3, Outpaced but rallied to run to form when beaten 2¼l off 113 over 2m1f at Doncaster last time; benefitted from first-time cheekpieces and returns from a long layoff; in the mix off lenient mark judged on hurdle form. Flat and juvenile hurdle winner who has a handy 4yo allowance on chase debut; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (25/1 +24%)Galidam |
25/1(+24%) | (10) Galidam 25/1, Keen and made mistakes when needing the run after a wind operation, comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Carlisle last time; now having second run after the procedure and open to marked improvement. French hurdle winner but hasn't posed a threat over hurdles in Britain; now goes chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (12/1 +52%)Hors Jeu |
12/1(+52%) | (9) Hors Jeu 12/1, Made too much use of the pace and was well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Stratford last time; returning from a long layoff and open to marked improvement now chasing. Hasn't shone over hurdles in Britain but maybe not a forlorn hope with the hood back on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (7/4 +61%)Quantock Hills |
7/4(+61%) | (4) Quantock Hills 7/4, Outpaced and needed the run when 17l third on chase debut in a handicap chase over 2m at Newton Abbot last time; effective at 2m and may stay slightly further; likely capable of better over fences. 4yo who ran okay when third on last month's chase debut and could build on that today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (4/1 +60%)Wotter Trotter |
4/1(+60%) | (6) Wotter Trotter 4/1, Made too much use of the pace and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Worcester last time; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good to soft; consistent in spring and hurdles form franked; could leave chase debut form behind. Tailed off on chase/handicap debut but in top hands and could leave that run well behind. |

The unexposed SPADESTEP chased home a useful rival when filling second place on his fencing debut over 2m at Aintree last month. The six-year-old is entitled to improve for that experience and a mark of 116 may still underestimate him. The rest all have questions to answer right now, but Rock On Jet and My Noble Lord are arguably the pick of them.

This can go to SPADESTEP (nap), who made a promising chase debut when second at Aintree last month and that form reads well.

Opened his account in Hereford event on reappearance; may remain competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (5/2 +29%)Kapamazov |
5/2(+29%) | (3) Kapamazov 5/2, Travelled well but found little, possibly outstayed when well beaten in a handicap chase over 3m at Uttoxeter last time; effective 2 1/2-3m; a frustrating maiden and a weak finisher. Remains a maiden; makes debut for new stable (still in same ownership). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (20/1 +60%)Misteroddsocks |
20/1(+60%) | (5) Misteroddsocks 20/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Lingfield last time; effective at 2m; form so far modest and needs more. Holds weak claims on most of his form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (18/5 -44%)Sir Carnegie |
18/5(-44%) | (2) Sir Carnegie 18/5, Well treated up 7lb, improved again when winning a handicap by 3/4l off 93 over 2m7f at Kelso last time; effective 2 1/2-3m; progressing for his new yard and could still be ahead of his mark. Successful in novice handicaps the last twice and looks open to further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (14/1 +50%)Uncle Al |
14/1(+50%) | (6) Uncle Al 14/1, Outpaced but improved on chase debut when second, beaten 17l in a handicap chase at Sedgefield last time; probably best at 2m4f, acts on good; needs to build on that debut effort. Runner-up at Sedgefield last time (chase debut) but recorded a meagre RPR. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (9/2 -13%)Gata Ban |
9/2(-13%) | (1) Gata Ban 9/2, Ran to form on chase debut when second, beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap chase at Fakenham last time; effective at 2 1/2m, acts on good to soft and good; well treated on hurdle form and should come on for that run. Ran creditably at Fakenham on chase/seasonal debut and may build on that effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (500/1 -300%)Top Drawer |
500/1(-300%) | (7) Top Drawer 500/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Plumpton last time; acts on good; a regressive maiden. Longstanding maiden who has dismal claims on recent form. |

The hat-trick seeking Sir Carnegie is bound to have his supporters, but is now 3lb higher than his most recent success at Kelso and that might open the door for LELANT. Evan Williams' charge bounced back to form to score by just over three lengths at this level at Hereford last month and if the seven-year-old is in similar form, he will prove hard to beat. Gata Ban completes the shortlist.

The mare GATA BAN (nap) is taken to build on her reappearance effort and go one better. Sir Carnegie is second pick.

11/2(-38%) | (5) Must Believe 11/2, Scored by 1/2l off 67 at Kempton penultimate start; ran to form when fourth last time; effective 10-14f, acts on a sound surface; reasonable mark still. Won at Kempton in September and he looked stretched at 1m5f latest; dangerous back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (6/4 +50%)Westcombe |
6/4(+50%) | (7) Westcombe 6/4, Well backed, ran to form when fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap over 10f at Leicester latest; trainer in form; effective 7-10f, acts on GS, AW; longer trip to suit back from a break. Unexposed 4yo who still has potential and he needs a close look after another break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (14/1 -40%)Life Is Rosie |
14/1(-40%) | (4) Life Is Rosie 14/1, Below form after doing too much too soon when beaten 7l in a 10f handicap at Yarmouth last time. Suited by 10f and acts on a sound surface; needs to bounce back. Won at Windsor (1m2f) in July but she's weakened in both subsequent runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (20/1 -25%)Show Biz Kid |
20/1(-25%) | (1) Show Biz Kid 20/1, Took a step back in the right direction when beaten 5l in a 10f handicap at Yarmouth last time. Effective at 9-10f and acts on any surface, but remains erratic with only one good run since April. On last winning mark but he's hard to predict and comes with risks attached. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (10/1 +60%)Spec Of Light |
10/1(+60%) | (9) Spec Of Light 10/1, Again below form when well beaten in a 9f handicap at Wolverhampton latest. Effective at 8f and acts well on all-weather; has struggled since returning from a break. Won a 1m handicap here in March but he's been well below that form in four runs since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (40/1 -100%)Jam Lass |
40/1(-100%) | (6) Jam Lass 40/1, Won by 1/2l off 60 over 10f at Redcar two starts ago but was below form when ninth last time back on all-weather. Effective at 8-10f; needs to bounce back. 25-1 win at Redcar (1m2f) but he was in rear at Newcastle last time; others are more solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (25/1 -108%)Forca Timao |
25/1(-108%) | (2) Forca Timao 25/1, Bet run since the spring, up in trip when beaten 6l in a handicap over 1m5f at Chelmsford last time; suited by 10-14f, acts on GF, AW; return to Southwell may help. Easy win over C&D in April but he's struggled since and needs a major revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (10/3 -21%)Age Of Time |
10/3(-21%) | (8) Age Of Time 10/3, Scored by 1/2l off 59 over 9f at Wolverhampton two starts back but was too keen and below form when seventh last time. Effective at 9-11f and acts best on all-weather; drop in trip should help. Well held at Lingfield latest but he won on Tapeta on his penultimate run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (80/1 -220%)Abila |
80/1(-220%) | (10) Abila 80/1, No worthwhile form to date but returns from a short break. Should be suited by middle distances and may improve now handicapping on her second run in Britain. Still early days but needs a transformation on handicap debut; stablemate of Age Of Time.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (11/1 +45%)Si Solus |
11/1(+45%) | (3) Si Solus 11/1, Again below form when dropped in trip and tried in cheekpieces, finishing down the field over 12f here most recently. Effective at 11-12f and acts on all-weather; blinkers now applied. Unexposed 4yo who has struggled in last three runs and others are preferred; new headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (14/1 -133%)Off Spin |
14/1(-133%) | (11) Off Spin 14/1, Made late headway and back to form without cheekpieces when beaten 2 1/4l off 59 over 9f at Newmarket last time. Effective at 7-9f and acts on good ground; solid latest effort if he can build on it. 0-10 but runner-up at Newmarket (1m1f) latest and is a big player if he can build on that. |

OFF SPIN bounced back to form when filling second place over 1m1f at Newmarket last month and Tim Easterby's gelding can go one better against this field. Westcombe showed more, despite being a beaten favourite, on his handicap bow at Leicester in May and he should not be written off just yet. Must Believe and Age Of Time are others to consider.

The vote goes to AGE OF TIME who is 2-3 on Tapeta and is a big player if he can recapture the form of his Wolverhampton win last month.

8/13(+82%) | (1) Anariza 8/13, Pulled up in the Mares' Novices' Hurdle (Listed) over 2m4f at Cheltenham last time; wears a hood for the first time. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground. With spring form franked, she should be competitive down in grade. Runner-up at Kempton (2m, good, 2-1) in March; ran freely (PU) next time; returns in hood.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/2 +9%)Azahara Palace |
5/2(+9%) | (2) Azahara Palace 5/2, Looked a bit flattered when beaten 7 1/4l in the Beckford Stakes (Listed) over 1m6f at Bath last time, but had been in good form prior. Wears a hood for the first time and could outclass rivals on hurdle debut. 5-22 on Flat for H. Morrison, inc at Epsom (1m4f); since sold for 35,000gns; hurdles debut. |

3rd (4) (12/1 +64%)Mad Mag |
12/1(+64%) | (4) Mad Mag 12/1, Had every chance but produced only a modest hurdle debut when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Hexham last time. With the trainer in form, she may again find 2m on the sharp side. Weakening fifth on recent rules/hurdles debut at Hexham (2m; 40-1); may require more time.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (14/1 -250%)Moonlightinthepark |
14/1(-250%) | (5) Moonlightinthepark 14/1, Very promising effort when runner-up, beaten 5l in a 3m maiden at Stowlin on her only start. Hard to recommend here. Runner-up on point debut (3m) in May; interesting on first start for Greenall & Guerriero.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (20/1 -82%)Delta Blues Belle |
20/1(-82%) | (3) Delta Blues Belle 20/1, The yard won this race last year. Green and never involved when needing the run on hurdle debut, finishing down the field in a Newbury novice hurdle. A 3m point winner, she is likely to want further than 2m over hurdles. In rear throughout on recent Newbury hurdles debut (Class 2; 150-1); this more realistic.. |

ANARIZA struggled in a Listed race at Cheltenham when last seen in April, but her previous placed efforts over hurdles suggest that she could be hard to beat at this level. Ufouria makes her debut for these connections and won a bumper in Ireland earlier in the year. With that in mind, she could be the main threat, although Moonlightinthepark and Azahara Palace merit consideration on their hurdling debuts.

Form suggests the pair to focus on are Anariza and Ufouria. However, should support arrive, AZAHARA PALACE is worth chancing.

10/1(+0%) | (1) Flanker Jet 10/1, Outclassed but gave a very poor effort, perhaps something was amiss when fourth beaten 113l in the Tyros Stakes (Group 3) at Leopardstown last time. Returning from a break; effective at 7f on good ground; a big, workmanlike sort with plenty to prove now. Initial promise in early summer before disappointing; back from a break and gelded. |

5/2(+29%) | (11) Star Strewn 5/2, Green early but finished well once the penny dropped when 3 1/2l fourth in a maiden here on debut. Well fancied that day and should improve for the experience. Green, not much luck in running when beaten favourite on recent C&D debut; more expected. |

STAR STREWN was the subject of strong support on debut over C&D earlier this month and shaped well when a creditable fourth behind Prevalence. The daughter of Starman should benefit from the experience and gets the vote to regain those losses. Boston Benjamin stepped forward from his introduction when fourth behind Madbadanddangerous at Naas and rates a threat along with Mahi Mahi and Arcabulle. The latter should appreciate this step up in distance after keeping on well over 6f on debut, while Flanker Jet made a bright start at the Curragh but hasn't progressed in two outings since.

A tentative vote going to MAHI MAHI, who has joined Stephen Thorne since making a promising debut here over 1m and will appreciate 7f

14/1(+13%) | (7) Hurricane Highway 14/1, Disappointing on hurdles return when well beaten in a 3m handicap at Wetherby; back from a long layoff, effective around 2 1/2m on softish ground but inconsistent overall. Final outing resulted in a poor effort on belated return to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (22/1 -10%)Johnson's Blue |
22/1(-10%) | (1) Johnson's Blue 22/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, though the mark looks high enough. Not solid on his form since returning from lengthy absence. |

LIHYAN (third) finished ahead of Tranquil Sea (sixth) in a qualifier at Newbury beind Haiti Couleurs earlier in the month. The former deserves marking up as he did best of those who were ridden patiently and, off 1lb higher, has every chance of getting back to winning ways. The latter has had wind surgery since and a quick turnaround has to be a worry. With that in mind, the main threats may come from C'est Different and Lavida Adiva.

Off bottom weight upped in class, C'EST DIFFERENT could well complete a hat-trick. Lihyan is second choice.

40/1(-627%) | (7) Up The Anti 40/1, Improved when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 55 over 6f at Bath last time. Effective over 6f to 8f. Respected up 2lb switching to AW. Resumed winning ways at Bath (5.5f, heavy) latest; stays 7f+; respected from 2lb higher. |

AMBER HONEY had plenty in hand when winning over a mile here last week and Ed Dunlop's filly may have enough in the locker to defy a 6lb penalty on this occasion. Up The Anti also won her most recent outing, this time at Bath, and she has to be noted, while Portoro may be able to reward each-way support.

A chance is taken on DION BAKER. Michael Wigham's charge gave a decent account when fourth to a subsequent winner at Yarmouth latest.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (50/1 -100%)Tarbuck |
50/1(-100%) | (6) Tarbuck 50/1, Keen and outpaced when a bit below form up in grade, wanted further, when fourth beaten 13l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Newbury last time; returning from a long layoff; effective at 2 1/2m and suited by cut; step back up in trip a plus, not dismissed if fit. Kept on well to score at Uttoxeter (2m4f; from 4lb lower) in Feb; seasonal reappearance.. |

ONEWAYWEST ran out an easy winner in a conditional jockeys' event at Warwick last Wednesday and Ben Pauling's gelding has a strong opportunity to back that performance up off the same mark. Singapore Trip won here at the Charlie Hall meeting, despite making a mistake at the last, and is respected off 3lb higher. He's Bresilian and Motazzen are others capable of a decent showing.

Last week's easy Warwick winner ONEWAYWEST promises to be a tough nut to crack, escaping a penalty for that conditional jockeys' romp.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (20/1 -25%)Alto Sax |
20/1(-25%) | (6) Alto Sax 20/1, Again below best when beaten 8l in a 6f handicap here last time. Effective from 7f to 10f and may not handle easier conditions. Has something to prove returning to this longer trip. Trip inadequate latest; longer trip to suit but still others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (14/1 -133%)Camachero |
14/1(-133%) | (9) Camachero 14/1, Never competitive after missing the break when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 7-8f and acts on all-weather. Inconsistent maiden with more to find. Ran okay over C&D earlier this month from a wide draw but more needed. |

11/8(+31%) | (1) Fleetfootsoldier 11/8, Well treated back in a handicap, he improved to land a 7f event here by 1/2l off 55 last time. Effective from 7f to 10f and acts on all-weather. In form and respected in his hat-trick bid. Last week's 7f winner up 7lb but return to this longer trip will suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (100/1 -203%)Vocology |
100/1(-203%) | (8) Vocology 100/1, Outpaced and may have found conditions too testing when well beaten in a Bellewstown maiden last time. Returns from a short break and has plenty to prove. Huge odds, well held in three turf maidens; opposable on handicap/AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (100/1 -100%)Brosna Green |
100/1(-100%) | (2) Brosna Green 100/1, May not have stayed when down the field in a claimer here most recently. Effective at 7f but yet to convince with stamina for 1m. All best form has come on all-weather; out of form. Recent C&D efforts poor; headgear combination back on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (5) (33/1 -106%)Sandi O Mali |
33/1(-106%) | (5) Sandi O Mali 33/1, Below form when dropped to 6f in a Cork handicap last time. Hood applied for the first time and returning from a break. Effective at 7f and the step back up in trip may help. Some promise in 7f turf maidens, down the field in a 6f Cork handicap; hooded for AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

33/1(+0%) | (13) Reponse Finale 33/1, Ran to form when beaten 7l in a 7f handicap here last time. Usually held up in her races. Effective from 6f to 8f and acts on any surface. Inconsistent maiden. Never landed a blow last two starts here over 7f, not sure this return to 1m will suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (4) (33/1 -32%)Roman Dawn |
33/1(-32%) | (4) Roman Dawn 33/1, From a yard that won this race last year. Well below early maiden form and down the field in a handicap at Gowran Park most recently. Showed promise at 7f but hard to fancy from a wide draw. Turf form not that inspiring and wide draw hardly ideal on AW debut. |

FLEETFOOTSOLDIER won three times back in 2023 and has returned to form recently, scoring over C&D for Natalia Lupini before getting up in the closing stages to deny Una Matata over 7f last week. He should be well served by this step back up to a mile and can confirm the places on these revised terms. Sakakawea was over four lengths back in fourth and Colin Keane again takes the mount, while Camachero has dropped down to an attractive mark and wasn't disgraced here last time. Hale Bopp and Reponse Finale are others to consider.

Getting up late last week over 7f to beat Una Matata a shade snugly, FLEETFOOTSOLDIER (nap) should be best suited by this extra 1f

1/1(-37%) | (2) Paggane 1/1, Improved back over fences after her reappearance when winning the Houghton Mares' Chase (Listed) at Carlisle over 2m4f by 9 1/2l last time. Effective between 2 1/2m and 3m; a smart chaser and very useful hurdler back in form for her new yard. Comfortable win in similar event at Carlisle returned to chasing last time; respected. |

2nd (5) (17/2 +29%)Minniemum |
17/2(+29%) | (5) Minniemum 17/2, Yard has won two of the last five runnings. Made mistakes but improved back up in trip when winning a handicap chase at Ludlow over 3m2f by 1 1/2l last time. 11/10(+12%) | (1) Marsh Wren 11/10, Won this last year and landed the Bud Booth Mares' Chase (Listed) here by 16l last time when returning from a long layoff. Progressive performer who acts with cut; good record fresh and the one to beat if the ground eases. 4-6 over fences, most recently registering a wide-margin success in this race last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (100/1 +0%)Mini Mildred |
100/1(+0%) | (4) Mini Mildred 100/1, Improved again back from a break when winning a handicap at Bath over 1m6f by 3l last time. Absent for a very lengthy period since and has it all to do despite hurdles win in Jersey. Has done well on the mainland and in Jersey but this is much harder; chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (50/1 +50%)Jalisco Star |
50/1(+50%) | (3) Jalisco Star 50/1, Outpaced and needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Ffos Las last time. Had been in good form prior; effective at 3m and acts on any ground. A progressive hurdler yet to match that form over fences and vulnerable up in grade. Still has something to prove in this sphere and faces a stiff task to boot. |

Marsh Wren was an impressive winner of this prize 12 months ago before meeting with a setback that ruled her out for the rest of the campaign. The concern on her return to action is her appreciation for testing conditions and the race-fit PAGGANE might be able to take advantage. Faye Bramley has done very well with the six-year-old since acquiring her from Willie Mullins in the summer, winning a Listed event at Carlisle last time, and the step back up in trip is well within her grasp. The rest have plenty to find, with Minniemum the pick of them.

The standout contenders on ratings are the progressive mares PAGGANE (narrowly preferred) and Marsh Wren.

5th (8) (25/1 -79%)Volendam |
25/1(-79%) | (8) Volendam 25/1, Stopped quickly and ran well below form when well beaten in a handicap at Newcastle latest. Effective from 5-7f on the all-weather; needs to bounce back. Seven-race maiden and she needs a major revival for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (11/4 +39%)Moonlight Bomb |
11/4(+39%) | (5) Moonlight Bomb 11/4, Ran to form, best work late when beaten 2l off 58 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; effective 7-9f, acts on a sound surface; inconsistent. 0-11 but was placed off this reduced mark at Wolverhampton latest; in the mix for new yard. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (20/1 -67%)Embarked |
20/1(-67%) | (10) Embarked 20/1, Ran to his recent best when beaten 2l off 46 at Wolverhampton last time. Effective from 7-8f and acts on the all-weather; running fairly of late. Got pestered for the lead at Wolverhampton (7f) latest but he wasn't beaten far; dangerous. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (12/1 +0%)No Knee Never |
12/1(+0%) | (2) No Knee Never 12/1, Remained well below his 2024 level when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Effective from 7-8f; out of form in both codes but has joined a yard that does well with new recruits. Ex-Irish maiden who finished last of six on debut for James Owen at Wolverhampton (7f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (3/1 +0%)Initial Blue |
3/1(+0%) | (4) Initial Blue 3/1, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 60 over 6f at Wolverhampton last time; tongue-tie first time; effective 6/7f, all worthwhile form on AW; hinting at better to come. Solid record on AW since August and has claims back up in trip for new yard; tongue tied. |

BULLINGTON BRY was disappointing at Newmarket when last seen in August but the son of Bated Breath had posted a career-best effort prior when second at Ffos Las. A repeat of that effort might see him get off the mark. Prefer The Sister has been knocking on the door recently and is capable of another decent showing, while Moonlight Bomb and Initial Blue are others to consider.

This looks wide open but BULLINGTON BRY gets the vote ahead of Prefer The Sister, Cable Beach and Embarked.

13/8(+46%) | (8) Heeztheboy 13/8, Won by 15l off 81 over 2m4f at Hexham two starts ago and ran to form when second, beaten 1 1/2l off 90, last time. Trainer in form; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and handles heavy or good to soft ground. In fine autumn form and remains competitive. In fine form since joining this yard; new trip is worth a go and he's one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (9/4 +10%)Paddy O'mahler |
9/4(+10%) | (6) Paddy O'mahler 9/4, Returned to form back from a break after wind surgery when beaten 3/4l off 98 on chase debut at Market Rasen last time. 12/1(-20%) | (3) Meetmeinthemorning 12/1, Suited by the ground and showed good determination when beaten 1/2l off 104 over 2m7f at Kelso last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective around 3m and acts on good to soft or good ground. Improving over fences but has been absent for some time. Absent for more than a year but went close when last seen and not discounted on comeback. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (12/1 +40%)Chosen Templar |
12/1(+40%) | (5) Chosen Templar 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Market Rasen last time after a long layoff. Effective over 3m and acts on soft ground but has yet to take to chasing. His chase debut fifth last December wasn't devoid of promise but pulled up next time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (18/1 -29%)Carrigeen Castle |
18/1(-29%) | (2) Carrigeen Castle 18/1, Made too much use of himself when back from a break after wind surgery, finishing well beaten in a handicap chase at Ayr last time. This is his second run after the operation; effective up to 2m4f on soft ground and may need a drop in trip. Tailed off at 50-1 on reappearance but his two previous runs here yielded easy wins. |

PADDY O'MAHLER improved for the switch to fences when runner-up at Market Rasen earlier in the month and the seven-year-old is taken to build on that display with his stable currently in excellent form. Heeztheboy has enjoyed a fine start to the campaign with a wide-margin success at Hexham followed with a runner-up effort at Uttoxeter. The nine-year-old is respected, while Meetmeinthemorning and Visual Impact appeal most of the remainder.

Having given a well-handicapped winner a race at Market Rasen on his recent chase debut, PADDY O'MAHLER can go one better.

13/2(+54%) | (8) Georg Zhukov 13/2, Disappointing in first-time cheekpieces when beaten 4l in a claimer here last time; effective over 8-10f; had been running into form until that effort. Claiming form here would give him a squeak if negating this wide draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7/4(+30%) | (4) Ballymagreehan 7/4, Ran to form when beaten 4l off 56 here last time; trainer in form; effective at 8f on this surface; consistent type who almost certainly has more to offer. Just held third ahead of Sporting Aclaim after a break latest; good draw and contender. |

11/2(+78%) | (3) Heart Of Darkness 11/2, Ran to form when beaten 4l in a claimer here last time; effective at 7f and on this surface; handicapper has eased her mark but she remains largely out of form. Not a bad effort in C&D claimer last time; can't rule out off this reduced mark. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (12) (17/2 +29%)Sporting Aclaim |
17/2(+29%) | (12) Sporting Aclaim 17/2, Never threatened when ridden to see out the trip and beaten 7 1/4l in an 11f handicap here last time; in good form prior; effective over 8-12f; had been in fair form until latest. Trip too far latest, penultimate C&D third gives him a squeak. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (6/1 -50%)Zabeir |
6/1(-50%) | (2) Zabeir 6/1, Produced best run since summer in reapplied cheekpieces when beaten 3/4l off 56 at The Curragh last time; effective over 7/8f; inconsistent and on a long losing run. Fine recent Curragh run augurs well for AW return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (8/1 +0%)Kitty Bear |
8/1(+0%) | (10) Kitty Bear 8/1, Every chance but below form when beaten 5l in an 11f handicap here last time; visor first time; effective at 7-9f; handicapper has eased her mark but she needs more on this surface. Ordinary runs here of late, 1m2f last time probably too far; visor tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (25/1 +24%)Loaded Quiver |
25/1(+24%) | (13) Loaded Quiver 25/1, May not have stayed when down the field in a handicap here most recent; tongue-tie first time; effective at 7f, yet to convince with stamina for further; has lost form since moving to Ireland. Well held over C&D of late; new headgear combination tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (50/1 -100%)Voice Of Northeast |
50/1(-100%) | (6) Voice Of Northeast 50/1, Well below form, something possibly amiss when down the field in a Limerick handicap last time; cheekpieces first time; returning from a break; effective at 8f; drop in trip may suit. Back from a break with new headgear combination fitted for AW return; bad draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (14) (18/1 +10%)Monzoon |
18/1(+10%) | (14) Monzoon 18/1, Too much to do having missed the break and met trouble when down the field in a 7f handicap at Roscommon last time; off a short break; effective at 7-8f on this surface; out of form and on a stiff mark. Plummeting turf mark this year and down to basement mark here on AW return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (9) (100/1 -203%)Eliza Garfield |
100/1(-203%) | (9) Eliza Garfield 100/1, Below form on softer ground when well beaten in an auction race at Killarney last time; off a short break; effective at 1m; likely to need more time. Turf runs haven't offered much; could find her level in handicaps but may need more time. |

BALLYMAGREEHAN hails from a yard in good form and opened his account over C&D back in July. He has been placed on both outings since, including when reappearing after a near three-month break to beat all bar Johnny's Oasis, with a number of these rivals behind. Bamako was unlucky in running when runner-up twice over 7f earlier this year, including when awarded the race in the stewards' room at Down Royal, only for that verdict to overturned on appeal. Manhattan Dandy has been running well on testing ground, but has also been placed at this venue.

A maiden winner here in the past ZABEIR holds plenty of appeal on the back of a fine third at the Curragh last month over this trip

Good third on chase/seasonal debut at Stratford and has claims if she can back that up. |

2nd (6) (5/4 +62%)Hawkseye View |
5/4(+62%) | (6) Hawkseye View 5/4, Finished 5 1/2l third in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Huntingdon last time; second run after a wind operation; effective 2 1/2–3m, acts on good ground; in good form this year, yard going well, should come on for latest with step up in trip a plus. 0-16 under rules but he returned after wind surgery with good third at Hexham; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (13/2 -160%)Mixedwave |
13/2(-160%) | (1) Mixedwave 13/2, Ran to form when landing a handicap by a neck off 95 at Wetherby last time; effective at 3m and acts on soft and good ground; remains on a winning mark and may just need this run. Ended last season with Wetherby win and that took his chase record to 5-18; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (15/2 +38%)Midnight Gold |
15/2(+38%) | (5) Midnight Gold 15/2, Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 7l in a handicap chase at Fakenham latest; effective 2 1/2–3m; unexposed over fences but needs to improve. Sole hurdles win was in 2023 and she's made a low-key start over fences this autumn. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (12/1 +14%)Felton Bellevue |
12/1(+14%) | (2) Felton Bellevue 12/1, Outpaced and below form when back down in trip, needing the run when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Stratford latest; effective at 3m, acts with cut, and is generally consistent back on last winning mark. Only 2lb higher than for last success but he's struggled in last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (7/1 -100%)Dunworley |
7/1(-100%) | (3) Dunworley 7/1, Travelled well and improved down in trip under positive handling, the margin exaggerated by a late faller when landing a handicap by 28l off 82 over 2m7f at Leicester last time; returning from a long layoff; effective 2 3/4–3m, acts on soft and good ground. Easy win at Leicester in March; up 11lb but he's open to more progress this season. |

The Joel Parkinson & Sue Smith team are currently in fine fettle and HAWKSEYE VIEW appears capable of improving from his first run of the season at Huntingdon. That effort came after wind surgery and the son of Telescope should have more to offer back up in distance. Seasmoke finished third on her chasing bow at Stratford and is likely to enter calculations along with Mixedwave.

The lightly raced 9yo DUNWORLEY ended last season with a runaway win Leicester and is a big player if he can pick up where he left off.

11/1(-83%) | (3) Percy Willis 11/1, The yard won this last year. Returned to form when 5l third in a handicap here on his latest run. Effective from 10–12f, with nearly all form on AW, and remains on a fair mark after that good effort. All six of his wins have been over 1m4f; bounced back to form when third over C&D latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (13/2 +7%)Harswell Duke |
13/2(+7%) | (6) Harswell Duke 13/2, Made late headway but ran a bit below form when beaten 3l off 57 over 8f at Southwell last time. Trainer in form. Effective from 7–9f and acts on AW. 9/2(+18%) | (1) Golspie 9/2, Ran to form when 5 1/4l third in a handicap here most recent run; suited by 10/11f, acts on most ground (not tried on fast); respected after latest effort. 0-15 on the AW but he was third over this C&D four days ago; now drops in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (7/2 -5%)King Chaos |
7/2(-5%) | (2) King Chaos 7/2, Ran to a recent level when fourth, beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Suited by 10–12f and acts on AW. Has done much better over this C&D of late. Has posted two solid efforts over this C&D since the tongue-tie went on; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (7/2 +13%)Sweet Kiss |
7/2(+13%) | (4) Sweet Kiss 7/2, Scored by 3/4l off 58 at Pontefract three starts back; improved again down in grade when second last time; suited by 10f, acts on HY, GF; only does enough in front and still competitive off this mark. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (100/1 -52%)Lasswade |
100/1(-52%) | (10) Lasswade 100/1, Stopped quickly on his first run since a wind operation when down the field in a handicap at Redcar most recently. Yet to find suitable conditions and hard to fancy. 0-7 and the wind operation failed to make a difference last time; tongue-tie applied. |

Sweet Kiss occupied the runner-up berth in heavy conditions at Nottingham last month and commands respect, but it may pay to side with GOLSPIE. Patrick Morris' charge made the frame over course and distance on Saturday and provided the son of Ribchester copes with this quick turnaround, he could be the one to beat. Percy Willis may also have a say.

King Chaos commands respect but SWEET KISS (nap) is the selection having bumped into a subsequent winner at Nottingham last time.

13/2(-30%) | (2) Thurso 13/2, Bit wide but produced his best run to date when winning a handicap at Wolverhampton over 7f by a length last time. Effective at 6f and 7f on a sound surface. In good form and respected dropped in grade. Three wins this year, the latest over 7f on Tapeta; not favoured by today's weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (33/1 -83%)Fierce |
33/1(-83%) | (3) Fierce 33/1, Again below best when beaten 5l in a handicap over 5f at Newcastle last time. Effective at 5f or 6f on any surface. Inconsistent but drops in grade. Two wins this year, including Tapeta, but these terms are unfavourable. |

THURSO returned to winning ways on his latest start at Wolverhampton last month and Richard Hughes' gelding appears to have more to offer, despite a 6lb rise for that success. Dyrholaey wasn't right when a beaten favourite at Southwell in January but remains of interest on his first run since, while Good Banter has solid claims if replicating his recent efforts in selling company.

Dyrholaey is the pick of the weights but he's been off for ten months and PRINCE OF PILLO and Intervention are preferred.

12/1(-33%) | (8) Midnight Bella 12/1, Had every chance but modest debut when well beaten in a maiden bumper over 2m1f at Carlisle; trainer in form; effective at 2m and could improve with experience but looks one for later. Faded into fifth on recent debut at Carlisle; not ruled out each-way on this second start. |

9th (4) (25/1 +24%)Flight To Bresil |
25/1(+24%) | (4) Flight To Bresil 25/1, Pulled up in a maiden over 3m at Ballindenisk last time; wears a hood for the first time; has a bit to find. Didn't show enough on her two point starts to be of interest on this rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (22/1 +56%)Ten Off Fifty |
22/1(+56%) | (12) Ten Off Fifty 22/1, Promising effort when third, beaten 3 1/2l in a maiden over 3m at Curraghmore on debut; absent for a long period and difficult to fancy. Sold for £13,500 in May 2024 having finished third in sole point; however, absent since. |

LAFFER CURVE showed promise on her racecourse bow when fourth at Ascot in February when in the care of Tom Weston and the four-year-old is entitled to improve for that experience now switched to Dan Skelton's yard. She's Delighted has plenty of experience from the pointing field and is likely to progress from her run at Uttoxeter last month. Joan's Choice placed on her debut at Fontwell and is another open to improvement.

Preference is for LAFFER CURVE, who was a promising fourth at Ascot on her sole start for Tom Weston and now starts out for Dan Skelton.

22/1(+12%) | (14) Amemri 22/1, Below form up in grade when well beaten in a handicap here latest; trainer in form; acts on all-weather; progressive at 6f to 8f in summer and enjoyed a productive spring, though the handicapper may be in charge now. Multiple wins here; still on a competitive mark but has just lost her way of late. |

12/1(-200%) | (9) Miss Nifty 12/1, Ran to form when beaten 1/2l off 70 over 7f at The Curragh last time; effective from 7f to 12f and acts on all-weather; has been in good form on turf recently. Unlucky not to win over 7f at the Curragh latest and returning to further looks a plus. |

4/1(+0%) | (4) Altimara 4/1, Bit free but ran to form when beaten 3/4l off 74 here last time; effective from 7f to 8f and acts on all-weather; progressed well in a hood and respected after her latest small rise. Won twice on turf in August (7f) and has continued to run well, latterly over C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

18/1(-157%) | (13) Skippinandajumpin 18/1, Scored by 1/2l off 63 over 7f at Leopardstown on her penultimate start; up in trip, didn't get home up in grade when 13th beaten 12l off 71 last time; top course trainer; usually held up; effective from 6f to 8f and acts on all-weather; current mark looks demanding. Leopardstown winner two runs back; tough task latest; considered on AW debut. |

25/1(-213%) | (6) Lady Chartwell 25/1, Ran to current form when beaten 3l off 78 over 10f at Newcastle last time; suited by 10f and acts on all-weather; form remains inconsistent. AW winner in UK; not on a bad mark if revived by a change of scenery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (16/1 +36%)Ransom |
16/1(+36%) | (12) Ransom 16/1, Again below form when down the field in a handicap here most recently; effective from 7f to 8f and acts on all-weather; form remains inconsistent, with slow starts an ongoing issue. A better horse on the AW than turf but struggles continued back here four weeks ago. |

ALTIMARA won twice over 7f at Leopardstown this summer and has continued to progress when placed on both outings since, including when third behind Glyndwr (won again since) over C&D. The Ross O'Sullivan-trained filly had Giuseppe Cassioli nearly two lengths behind in fifth and also holds Far From Dandy on that run. Miss Nifty gained both previous wins on a sound surface and has shaped well recently with plenty of cut at the Curragh. She didn't show much in three outings on the all-weather in the UK last year so it will be interesting to see how she fares here. Skippinandajumpin and No More Porter are others to consider.

Plenty with chances but MISS NIFTY was unlucky not to win at the Curragh last time and returning to further looks a big plus.

HIDDEN FORTUNE makes her Rules debut for the Skeltons after winning a point-to-point in March and the four-year-old commands the utmost respect as the yard bids to win this prize for the second year in a row. Moore Brion cost 80,000 euros at the Tattersalls Derby Sale in June 2024 and he can enter the reckoning along with fellow newcomer Hurlyburly.

Irish point winner Hidden Fortune has respectable claims, while MOORE BRION and Popalot are interesting newcomers.

66/1(-136%) | (7) Miss Lalita 66/1, Ran to form when 8 1/4l third in a nursery over 8f here on latest start after a long layoff. Effective from 7f to 8f and acts on all-weather; faces a tough task. Failed to build on her 7f debut here last year; now returns following a 390-day break. |

The consistent Educate has gone close on his last three starts here and another solid bid is expected from Jim Goldie's charge. However, his conqueror at the start of the month, PRINCE ACHILLE, bounced back to form on that occasion and is taken to confirm that form, despite a 5lb rise. Mystical Maria can be forgiven her latest effort at Nottingham and is capable of being in the mix.

Prince Achille is second choice behind SHIMMERING SANDS who is on a handy mark and should appreciate the return to this trip.

EYE OF DUBAI ended the turf season with a string of consistent efforts including when runner-up at Doncaster earlier in the month. The four-year-old returns to the all-weather with strong credentials to go one better on this occasion. Baldomero won over C&D last Thursday and is likely to enter the reckoning under a 4lb penalty. Purest Time and Berkshire Whisper appear best of the remainder.

A cracking sprint in which WE NEVER STOP (nap) is fancied to return to form back on the AW. Berkshire Whisper is feared most.

15/2(-114%) | (3) Little Queenie 15/2, Won by 1/2l off 87 at Navan in August and then ran to her best when second, beaten a nose off 89 last time. Top course jockey booked; effective over 5/6f and best on a sound surface. Should remain competitive. Not easy to predict but another good run here last month when collared on the line (at 6f). |

5th (1) (13/8 +35%)Valiant Force |
13/8(+35%) | (1) Valiant Force 13/8, Ran to form when winning a Conditions Race here over 5f by 1 1/4l last time; effective from 5-8f and best at sprint trips; better on the all-weather. Well treated back in a handicap and should remain competitive. Goes well here, deserves his high mark and will take some beating if on his game. |

14/1(-100%) | (9) Dontspoilasale 14/1, Won a handicap by 3 1/4l off 71 here on his penultimate start; ran to form when beaten in a Rated Race last time. 7/1(+13%) | (6) Bishopton 7/1, Scored by 4 1/4l off 71 over 7f at Down Royal on his penultimate start and ran to form when sixth, beaten 4l off 84 last time. 9th (5) (50/1 +0%)Nezeeh |
50/1(+0%) | (5) Nezeeh 50/1, Scored by 1/2l off 84 over 5f at Bellewstown three starts back; flattened out over a stretching trip when sixth, beaten 8l off 87 last time. Wide draw; effective from 5-6f on a sound surface; drop in trip a plus but mark demands more. Capable gelding but last couple of efforts weren't his best and he's 0-9 on the AW. |

LITTLE QUEENIE had Sir Les Patterson back in fourth when just denied by Barbapapa over C&D and gets the vote to record an eighth career win and fifth at this venue, with Colin Keane a significant booking. Big Gossey and Sir Les Patterson filled the minor placings in the valuable Bold Lad Handicap at the Curragh on Champions Weekend, while Valiant Force won at Royal Ascot as a juvenile and remains a classy sort, winning over 5f here last month. Dontspoilasale impressed when beating Sporting Hero over C&D and then probably found 7f too far behind Little Empire here last Friday.

Class could count and the admirable VALIANT FORCE can further enhance his very solid record at this track.

Julie Camacho's colt gets the vote to bounce back from his latest display, with Zoustar Dreams looking to be the main danger after finishing second at Southwell. Harlequin Bay is entitled to step forward from his first start.

Preference is for ZOUSTAR DREAMS, who is a half-sister to some useful sprinters and was a promising second at Southwell three weeks ago.

17/2(-21%) | (14) Something Coming 17/2, Green and outclassed when well beaten in the D&H Racing Stakes (Listed) at Newbury latest; effective at 7f and can do better down in grade. Quirky; ran a nice race at Kempton last month before outclassed in Listed company. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (125/1 -56%)Slack Bob |
125/1(-56%) | (9) Slack Bob 125/1, Every chance and ran to form when down the field in a novice over 6f at Kempton most recently; bred to be effective from 6f to 8f but looks up against it. Having his third run of the month and has beaten just one home so far; moves up from 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (18/1 +73%)Meritocratic |
18/1(+73%) | (4) Meritocratic 18/1, Poor debut, outpaced and well beaten in a novice over 8f at Salisbury on only start; has a wide draw and returns from a short break; should be effective at 8f and may do better once handicapped. 100-1 and well beaten on last month's Salisbury debut (1m); not easily recommended. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (9/1 +64%)Hamish Leek |
9/1(+64%) | (2) Hamish Leek 9/1, Green early, finished ok once the penny dropped when beaten 8l in a maiden at Kempton on debut; effective at 7f and should improve a little for that initial experience. 40-1 when beating just one home on debut five weeks ago; highly likely needs more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (13) (50/1 +0%)Ibiza Lights |
50/1(+0%) | (13) Ibiza Lights 50/1, Outpaced and poor debut when well beaten in a novice over 8f at Kempton on only start; bred to be suited by around 1m and has a lot to prove. Too green to do herself justice on debut at Kempton four weeks ago (beat just one home). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (15) (125/1 -56%)Family Values |
125/1(-56%) | (15) Family Values 125/1, Too green to show anything when down the field in a novice over 8f here most recently; likely to want 10f or further and looks in need of more time. Twice finished down the field here, showing signs of greenness. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (200/1 -150%)Fallacious Promise |
200/1(-150%) | (7) Fallacious Promise 200/1, Too green to show anything on debut when well beaten in a maiden over 6f at Leicester on only start; bred to want 7f or further and has plenty to prove. 125-1 when tailed off on debut at Leicester last month (6f, soft). |

Big backwards step at Newmarket last time and has left Alice Haynes since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (80/1 0%)King's Courtier |
80/1(0%) | (8) King's Courtier 80/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability; has a wide draw and remains without form of note. Well beaten both starts (gelded in between); should get a handicap mark after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (5) (15/2 -200%)Dovecote |
15/2(-200%) | (5) Dovecote 15/2, 9 Mar; Time Test colt; half-brother to Bullace, very smart at 8f; dam smart at 7f; wide draw; likely to go well. Represents a top yard and makes plenty of appeal despite widest draw. |

Variety Act changed hands for 32,000 euros as a yearling and this looks a good starting point for the son of Lope De Vega, so he needs to be monitored in the betting market. However, DOVECOTE makes more appeal as a half-brother to Listed scorer Bullace and he goes for the in-form Ralph Beckett stable. Providing the son of Time Test can navigate his tough draw in stall 15, he looks the way to go. Afraj is another to keep an eye on.

Brian Meehan's CHIEF RED WING is selected to take another step forward. His most recent effort has received several form boosts.

15/2(-7%) | (6) Numidia 15/2, Below form, flattened out up in trip and may not have stayed when down the field in a handicap over 1m6f at Navan most recently; effective 10-12f; fair mark if building on recent revival. Soft ground not ideal of late, respected back on the AW albeit with stamina unproven. |

Placed turf form; bought for 15,000euros and possible contender if taking to the surface. |

2/1(-14%) | (4) Someone's Wish 2/1, Scored by 2 1/2l off 98 over 2m1f at Downpatrick three starts back; improved back on the flat appreciating a stiff test down in trip when third beaten 1l off 55 last time; effective at 2m and in good form in both codes. Promising AW return last week when staying on third over 1m2f; worth a shot at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (10/1 -18%)Duke Otto |
10/1(-18%) | (11) Duke Otto 10/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m2f at Listowel latest; off a short break; consistent but holds no secrets from the handicapper. Better hurdler but Tramore this over this trip gives him place claims. |

5th (2) (8/1 +50%)Desert Friend |
8/1(+50%) | (2) Desert Friend 8/1, Again below his summer best when beaten 8l in a handicap over 12f here last time; effective up to 13f; has lost his form of late. Fair bit to find on recent 1m4f efforts here; stays this trip. |

6th (3) (12/1 -50%)Miss Australie |
12/1(-50%) | (3) Miss Australie 12/1, Below form when beaten 10l in a handicap over 11f here last time; effective at 12f and likely flattered by maiden outlier; her mark looks high enough. Largely struggled so far in handicaps, latest here over 1m2f; tries a new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (8/1 -33%)Nusra |
8/1(-33%) | (1) Nusra 8/1, Ran to form when possibly challenging a bit early, comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Thurles last time; looks the pick on race times. C&D winner; recent hurdles run should have her straight for this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (40/1 -60%)Sea The Sunset |
40/1(-60%) | (8) Sea The Sunset 40/1, Made mistakes and ran poorly when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse most recently. Glimpse of ability on AW in Britain a few years ago but doesn't appear an obvious one. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (10/1 -25%)Is She Now |
10/1(-25%) | (7) Is She Now 10/1, Returned to form when beaten 3 1/2l off 46 over 1m6f at Navan last time; effective 10-14f; in decent form in both codes. Recent Navan fourth encouraging and good C&D run last winter augurs well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (16/1 -14%)Figurehead |
16/1(-14%) | (9) Figurehead 16/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten 3 1/4l in a novice chase over 2m1f at Punchestown latest; effective at 2m; a frustrating maiden in both codes. Ran well over C&D early last year off 60 so wouldn't be one to rule out off this low mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (50/1 -52%)Futurum Regem |
50/1(-52%) | (10) Futurum Regem 50/1, Continued in poor form when well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Thurles latest; effective 2 1/2-3m; struggling for form in both codes. Flat/hurdles winner but 0-5 on AW; first run on this surface in over three years. |

NUSRA gained a third career win when successful over C&D last year and put together a series of consistent placed efforts here earlier this year. She made a promising reappearance over hurdles at Thurles last month and Julian Pietropaolo's 7lb claim helps to reduce the top-weight's burden. Someone's Wish won twice on the all-weather in the UK and has scored both over hurdles and fences for current connections. He finished well over an extended 1m2f here last week and rates a threat if staying this trip. Is She Now advertised her claims when finishing well into fourth over 1m6f at Navan last month.

Value may be had in IS SHE NOW, a decent fourth over C&D early in the year and coming here on the back of a good Navan effort

15/8(+88%) | (3) Itica 15/8, Moderate debut when well beaten in a novice at Chelmsford on only start; bred for middle distances and looks the type to do better in handicaps at three. Well connected; always behind at Chelmsford on recent debut; needs a big step forward. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (6/1 +57%)Inferno |
6/1(+57%) | (2) Inferno 6/1, Made late gains on debut when 18l fourth in a 7f novice here; effective at the trip and handles the all-weather; longer distance should suit. Beaten around 17l when 4th over 7f here on his debut; upped in trip with lots more needed. |

6/1(-50%) | (9) Fanciulla Del West 6/1, 17 Apr; Lope Y Fernandez filly; related to many good winners including Jakkalberry, high-class at 12f; top course jockey booked; runners from this yard often improve for a run but she should still go close on debut. Lope Y Fernandez filly; multiple winning siblings; lots to like on paper. |

33/1(+67%) | (8) Vietnorm 33/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a 6f novice at Redcar on only start; bred for 8f and beyond; likely more of a handicap type although the longer trip is a plus. Finished remote on 6f turf debut; this trip should suit better but likely best watched. |

9th (10) (28/1 +72%)Angel Breeze |
28/1(+72%) | (10) Angel Breeze 28/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a novice at Chelmsford on only start; half-sister to a 10-13f winner; type to do better when handicapping. Last of 14 at Chelmsford (1m, AW; 33-1) on her debut 20 days ago; one to watch. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (80/1 -100%)A Boy Named Mary |
80/1(-100%) | (1) A Boy Named Mary 80/1, Improved on a poor debut when fourth, beaten 8 1/4l, in a novice over 7f here last time; effective at 7f and acts on the all-weather; may prove more of a handicap type. Showed a bit more over 7f here last time but was again well held; steps up to 1m. |

EMMA'S LETTER sets the form standard based on her runner-up efforts at Leicester and Wolverhampton and this appears to be an excellent opportunity for her to strike at the fourth time of asking. Fanciulla Del West comes from a strong Italian family, being a half-sister to the globetrotting Jakkalberry, and she commands plenty of respect along with fellow newcomer Whernside.

The blinkers have worked for Emma's Letter and she can go well again but FANCIULLA DEL WEST is taken to make a winning debut.

9/4(+10%) | (2) Elan D'or 9/4, Ran to form, possibly challenged a bit early when beaten a head off 72 at Kempton last time; effective over 6-7f; in fine form and his penultimate effort was franked at Listed level. Form pick on last two efforts; major claims despite 2lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/2 +36%)Sovereign Wealth |
9/2(+36%) | (1) Sovereign Wealth 9/2, Disappointing up in trip on handicap debut when comfortably held in a nursery over 10f at Nottingham last time; blinkers on for the first time; effective at 7f and may have reached his level. Enough to prove sporting a couple of aids on AW debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (11/2 -57%)Luminare |
11/2(-57%) | (4) Luminare 11/2, Outpaced and below form but did see out the longer trip when beaten 5l in a nursery over 6f at Windsor last time; returning from a break; effective over 5-6f; has shaped as if 7f would suit but needs more back from the break. May be best watched, having disappointed on stable/nursery debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (22/1 -83%)Miss Starlet |
22/1(-83%) | (8) Miss Starlet 22/1, Ran to form when 2l third in a maiden over 6f at Southwell on latest run; effective over 6-7f; improving and should be competitive off a fair opening mark. Returning to further for nursery debut looks a smart move. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (17/2 +6%)Pretty Danielle |
17/2(+6%) | (5) Pretty Danielle 17/2, Bit below form on handicap debut when fourth beaten 8 1/4l in a nursery at Ayr latest; off a short break; effective at 7f and probably enjoys 1m; in fair form but needs a bit more to get off the mark. 16/1(-146%) | (6) Chhota Saab 16/1, Ran to form when second beaten 4 1/4l in a maiden over 6f at Southwell last time; trainer in form; wide draw; effective at 6f and improving in maidens; bred to appreciate this longer trip on handicap debut. Some progress in qualifying runs; should stay 7f and be highly competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (50/1 -257%)Ar Diddy Dum Dum |
50/1(-257%) | (7) Ar Diddy Dum Dum 50/1, Taken on up front and did too much too soon when finishing down the field in a maiden over 9f at Wolverhampton most recently; in good form prior; effective at 6-7f; likely vulnerable off this mark. Can't consider on what we saw last time but was good the time before; new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (12/1 -118%)Seeway |
12/1(-118%) | (3) Seeway 12/1, Ran to form when 5l third in a novice at Newmarket on latest run; should stay at least 1m; consistent in maidens and could be competitive. Breakthrough win likely to come over 1m rather than this trip of 7f. |

Elan D'or has found one too good in each of his last two outings, most recently over this trip at Kempton, and he holds an obvious chance. Luminare might be worth another chance after failing to justify favouritism at Windsor, but SEEWAY gets the vote. The son of Galiway showed more when third at Newmarket last month and an opening mark of 74 looks workable. With Toby Moore claiming a handy 7lb, he might the one to side with.

This looks a good opportunity for ELAN D'OR to open his account. He bumped into one then lost out by a narrow margin.

6/4(+45%) | (8) Cinammon Coco 6/4, Yard has won three of the last five runnings of this race; below form under a penalty when fourth, beaten 16l, in a juvenile hurdle over 2m at Punchestown last time; from a top course trainer and probably needs further. 0-6 on the Flat but with placed form and he won over hurdles in August; should be a player. |

2nd (2) (10/1 +29%)El Galvino |
10/1(+29%) | (2) El Galvino 10/1, Improved effort when 7 1/2l third in a maiden over 11f here last time; effective at 10f and an improving type from bumper form but likely one for handicaps over middle to staying trips. First run of note when beaten 7.5l into third in a 1m2f maiden here a month ago. |

3rd (1) (3/1 -173%)Ballyadam |
3/1(-173%) | (1) Ballyadam 3/1, Smuggled into contention and had a chance late on when finishing a 4l third in the Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle over 2m5f at Cheltenham on his latest start. Returns from a long layoff and looks the pick on overall form. Classy hurdler and can see him running well in this company on belated Flat debut. |

11/4(+58%) | (7) Silent Guardian 11/4, A little free but improved on recent efforts when fourth, beaten 1 1/4l, in a handicap here latest; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective 8–10f performer not proven beyond that; needs to build on latest run. 0-7 for Emmet Mullins but wasn't far away in a C&D handicap the last time. |

50/1(+50%) | (5) Khormor Syd 50/1, Needed the run when well beaten in a maiden over 11f at Listowel last time; tongue-tie applied for the first time; effective 8–11f performer who looks on a handicap mark that should suit. Six defeats including a claimer and a handicap; outclassed in a maiden last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

20/1(-67%) | (14) Tyraxes 20/1, Below form when dropped in trip and fourth, beaten 10l, in a novice over 10f at Newcastle latest; effective at 12f on AW; step back up in trip should suit on stable debut. Beaten 4l and about 9l in two middle-distance novices for Andrew Balding. |

150/1(-50%) | (11) Nugentstown Sue 150/1, Made mistakes and ran poorly on hurdles return when down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Thurles latest; has plenty to find. Just minor form in bumpers and maiden hurdles; very opposable. |

13th (9) (300/1 -200%)Inver Bay |
300/1(-200%) | (9) Inver Bay 300/1, Outpaced and produced a poor effort when well beaten in a maiden here latest; usually held up and must settle better; looks up against it. No closer than 17l in three bumpers, a maiden hurdle and two maidens here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (3) (100/1 -52%)Faithful Follower |
100/1(-52%) | (3) Faithful Follower 100/1, Missed the break and never threatened when well beaten in a maiden over 11f here last time; step up in trip should suit but may need more time in this sphere. Winning hurdler; 80-1 and beaten a long way in a 1m2f maiden here 12 days ago. |

BALLYADAM is a Grade 1 winner over hurdles and now makes his debut on the Flat at the age of 10. That top-level victory came five years ago in the Royal Bond, but he still retains plenty of ability having filled third spot last time off a mark of 151 in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. El Galvino had a couple of these rivals well behind when third behind Etawa over an extended 1m2f here last month, while Icare Desbois' three wins for Willie Mullins included a charity race over this trip at the Curragh last year. Silent Guardian and Cinammon Coco are others to consider.

Classy jumper Ballyadam could run well in this modest a maiden but the suggestion is ICARE DESBOIS, whose Flat debut was decent.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

2/1(-45%) | (1) Fight Your Corner 2/1, Promising debut third when beaten 3l in a novice at Kempton on debut; effective at 7f and acts on the all-weather; should improve. Out of a Group 2 winner; shaped with plenty of promise when third at Kempton (7f) on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (66/1 -136%)Mali And Me |
66/1(-136%) | (10) Mali And Me 66/1, Modest debut when outpaced and beaten 9 1/2l in a novice over 6f at Redcar; likely to appreciate 7f or further; type to do better once handicapping. Reported to have bled when sixth at Redcar on her debut in May; best watched on her return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

80/1(-100%) | (3) Blairtum Night 80/1, 45,000gns Night Of Thunder gelding; half-brother to Scrum, moderate at 8f as a 2yo; dam was very useful at 6f as a juvenile; others look stronger on debut. 45,000gns yearling; half-brother to German 9.5f winner Scrum; best watched on his debut. |

200/1(-150%) | (7) Wiseton Prospect 200/1, Similar moderate level to debut when comfortably held in a novice over 6f at Southwell last time; top course jockey booked; likely to want 7f or further; hood now tried. Well beaten in two 6f starts at Southwell; upped to 7f with hood now added. |

FIGHT YOUR CORNER made a promising start to his career when finishing third at Kempton last month and the son of Frankel is entitled to have learnt plenty from that experience. All Moonshine comes from a family her trainer knows well, with his dam being a half-sister to Group 2 winner Shine So Bright, and makes plenty of appeal on paper. Glamorous Angela completes the shortlist.

Echalar is second choice behind FIGHT YOUR CORNER who shaped well at Kempton on his debut last month.

2nd (4) (3/1 +63%)Gaiety Musical |
3/1(+63%) | (4) Gaiety Musical 3/1, Helped set it up for the closer when beaten 4l in a handicap here last time; effective over 7f to 8f and acts on AW; looks high enough in the weights. Back on last winning mark but fellow front-runner Stellenbosch reopposes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (3/1 +67%)Mostar Dreams |
3/1(+67%) | (1) Mostar Dreams 3/1, Had no obvious excuse when finishing down the field in a Doncaster handicap last time; effective from 5f to 7f and acts on any surface; current mark looks stiff. Well beaten on stable debut; switches to AW with something to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/2 -40%)Bintjan |
7/2(-40%) | (3) Bintjan 7/2, Quickened clear to win a Wolverhampton handicap by 3 1/4l off 71 last time; suited by 7f and acts on a sound surface; revised mark demands more. Clear PB when scoring by over 3l last time; 8lb higher but this 3yo could find extra. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (14/1 -320%)Vixey |
14/1(-320%) | (2) Vixey 14/1, Won by a neck off 72 at Chester three starts ago and ran to form when third, beaten 3l off 80, last time; suited by 7f and acts on any surface except perhaps soft; in good form with more to offer. Sound claims if taking to Polytrack/this venue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (9/2 -13%)Quandary |
9/2(-13%) | (5) Quandary 9/2, Returned to form when beaten 2 1/4l off 77 over 6f at Southwell last time; effective from 6f to 7f on AW; may need to drop a few pounds to strike. Poised for win number three; could come here if taking to the track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (18/1 -29%)Handle With Care |
18/1(-29%) | (7) Handle With Care 18/1, Outpaced and below form when beaten 4l in a 6f handicap at Leicester last time; in good form prior; trainer going well; returning from a break; effective from 6f to 7f on AW; consistent and on a fair mark. Far from the form pick but returning to 7f could help massively. |

BINTJAN readily took care of her nearest rival by just over three lengths at Wolverhampton last month and was hit with a 8lb rise. Considering the manner of that success, the daughter of Kodiac might be up to the task. Vixey is a reliable performer and finished a creditable third at Newmarket last time, so she is one to watch out for. Stellenbosch is another to consider.

Ed Bethell's QUANDARY (nap) looks worth siding with. A pleasing return at Southwell 23 days ago should have teed her up nicely for this.

9/2(+31%) | (4) Tatateo 9/2, Ran to form back on the flat when beaten 3l off 74 over 11f here last time; effective at 10f and suited by a sound surface; a useful dual-purpose performer who looks well treated on old UK form. No match for the winner here last time but ran well and now goes further which can help. |

3rd (5) (9/1 +0%)Pralognan |
9/1(+0%) | (5) Pralognan 9/1, Ran to form when beaten 4l off 97 over 2m at Cork last time; effective at 2m and has been in good form in both codes this summer. Has form over C&D and a dual Flat winner; placed over hurdles final start. |

11/2(+21%) | (2) Castleheath 11/2, Won by 2l off 67 over 10f at The Curragh on his penultimate start; ran to form when fifth beaten 11l off 76 last time, having his run checked; effective from 8-10f, acts on heavy and good ground; steadily progressing and should remain competitive up in trip. 1m/1m2f wins before perhaps unsuited by the heavy ground at Leopardstown. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

16/1(+0%) | (8) Scatchwah 16/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off 69 here last time; effective over 12f on the all-weather; unreliable type. Only 2l away over C&D last time when ridden from off the pace in new cheekpieces; possible. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (12/1 +25%)Palavar |
12/1(+25%) | (12) Palavar 12/1, Ran to form when beaten 9l in an auction race over 10f at Navan last time; effective at 10f and acts on the all-weather; showed promise in maidens and his opening mark looks potentially lenient. Showed a bit of promise in 1m2f maidens for Joseph O'Brien; off since April. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (5/1 +9%)Cala Bonita |
5/1(+9%) | (9) Cala Bonita 5/1, Quickened well and improved again when winning a handicap by 1 1/4l off 65 over 11f here last time; effective from 8-10f and acts on the all-weather; in form and remains on a workable mark as she seeks a hat-trick. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (33/1 +0%)Slowdownbarney |
33/1(+0%) | (13) Slowdownbarney 33/1, Had too much to do after meeting trouble when beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap here last time; effective from 12-14f and best on the all-weather; well treated on spring UK all-weather form and a possible threat. Eighth here last time and that was his second disappointing run after an absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (20/1 -67%)Inchiquin Maid |
20/1(-67%) | (11) Inchiquin Maid 20/1, Ran to form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Thurles last time; had been in good form prior; effective at 2m, suited by a sound surface and returns from a good flat spell off a fair mark. Second of 17 and fifth of 18 in two handicap hurdles for current yard; goes well here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (40/1 -21%)Bringsty |
40/1(-21%) | (7) Bringsty 40/1, Ran to form but was well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Thurles last time; generally consistent; not dismissed on flat return. Hasn't been pulling up any trees over hurdles but this is more his game. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (40/1 -60%)Ephesus |
40/1(-60%) | (1) Ephesus 40/1, Scored by 2l off 73 at Roscommon three starts ago; failed to find much when 12th beaten 29l off 80 last time; effective at 2m, acts on soft and good ground; inconsistent across both codes recently. 1m4f winner on turf in October; appeared to get stuck in the mud at Galway. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (3) (22/1 -175%)Migdam |
22/1(-175%) | (3) Migdam 22/1, Beaten a head off 64 over 2m at Thurles last time; effective from 8-16f and may have more to offer over staying trips on the flat given his recent hurdles win; well treated on old UK form, drop in trip should suit and he remains competitive. Won a maiden hurdle in August and went down narrowly back on the Flat at Thurles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (14) (6/1 -50%)Glady Eagle |
6/1(-50%) | (14) Glady Eagle 6/1, Short of room at a key stage and had too much to do afterwards when beaten 6l in a handicap here last time; effective from 10-12f and acts on the all-weather; well treated on Polish form and could bounce back for a top yard. Didn't get the breaks when behind Voice Of Reason here last time. |

CALA BONITA has progressed well since winning at Gowran in May and recorded a further two victories over an extended 1m2f at this venue. She beat Drucker by just over a length last month and has good claims of completing a course hat-trick if seeing out this trip. Inchiquin Maid won over 2m for Chris Timmons here last winter and now reverts to the Flat following a couple of outings over hurdles for Terence O'Brien. Castleheath and Tatateo are others to consider, while Migdam was just denied over 2m at Thurles last month, but is 10lb higher here.

In a very open race marginal preference is for DRUCKER who has been giving the impression that he might benefit from headgear.

13/2(+59%) | (10) Little Ted 13/2, Below form but with excuses when beaten 9l in a handicap at Redcar last time. Effective between 8f and 10f and acts on all-weather; not at his best in recent starts. Runner-up at Ayr in September but he's not been in the same form in two starts since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (3/1 +50%)Volenti |
3/1(+50%) | (5) Volenti 3/1, Could have finished closer when fourth, beaten 6 1/4l, in a handicap here latest. Effective from 8f to 10f and acts on all-weather; looks fairly treated at this mark. Four of his five wins have been over C&D; shaped quite well when 4th here last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (9/1 -38%)Ring Of Gold |
9/1(-38%) | (11) Ring Of Gold 9/1, Won by a neck off 51 over 7f here on his penultimate start and ran to form when fourth last time, just outlasted. Effective over 7f to 8f on all-weather; in good form over this course and distance. Won twice over 7f here in September; return to 1m shouldn't be an issue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/2 +21%)Pisanello |
11/2(+21%) | (3) Pisanello 11/2, Ran to form when beaten 2l off 65 at Redcar last time, dropping in trip with the visor back on. Effective over 8f to 9f and acts on all-weather; could benefit from being sharper early. 19lb lower than win in June 2024; shaped as if back in form at Redcar last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (11/2 +61%)Coolree |
11/2(+61%) | (1) Coolree 11/2, Too keen and below form when beaten 10l in a handicap over 10f at Chelmsford last time. Previously in good form and effective from 8f to 10f; acts on any surface but needs to find improvement. Three-time winner on turf; below his best over 1m2f last time; drops back in distance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (11/2 +54%)Cooperation |
11/2(+54%) | (7) Cooperation 11/2, Below form but with excuses when well held in a 7f handicap here last time. Has a top course jockey on board; effective between 7f and 10f on all-weather, though needs to improve back up in trip. Runner-up on four occasions since joining this yard but he was below his best last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (11/1 +31%)Livio Milo |
11/1(+31%) | (9) Livio Milo 11/1, Remained well below 2024 form when down the field in a 7f handicap here most recently. Effective from 7f to 9f on all-weather; has struggled for form since moving from Ireland. Best run for this stable came when sixth at Doncaster in June; well beaten here last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (33/1 -32%)Our Misty Blue |
33/1(-32%) | (4) Our Misty Blue 33/1, Had the run of the race and improved when fourth, beaten 6 1/4l, in a novice over 7f at Southwell last time. Yet to find ideal conditions and appears to need more time. Fared better over 7f at Southwell last time; open to improvement now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (40/1 -60%)Shifter |
40/1(-60%) | (8) Shifter 40/1, Needed the run when beaten 8l in a 10f handicap at Wetherby last time. Effective from 8f to 10f and acts on all-weather; returning from another absence. Won twice last May but she's been off since finishing fifth at Wetherby 213 days ago. |

RING OF GOLD's winning run came to an end over 7f here last month, but that was still a promising effort and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to winning ways in this company. Pisanello hasn't won for a while now but is more than capable of making the frame, while Coolree and Volenti are others to note.

Second Fiddle turns out quickly after finishing third here on Monday but VOLENTI is selected to notch his fifth C&D win.

1st (1) (7/4 +61%)Windsor Pass |
7/4(+61%) | (1) Windsor Pass 7/4, Every chance but found little when beaten 2 1/2l off 56 at Newcastle last time; wide draw. Consistent at 7/8f and acts on a sound surface; capable off this mark though not a frequent winner. 1lb lower than when beating Mashaan by nearly a length over C&D in January; major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/1 -50%)Nebula Stars |
5/1(-50%) | (7) Nebula Stars 5/1, Promising effort on stable debut when beaten 2 1/2l off 48 over 8f at Lingfield last time; effective at 8-9f and acts on all-weather. Fairly treated on Hong Kong form and could progress. Pleasing stable/British debut but doubt dropping back to 7f is what he wants. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/2 +40%)Jackson Street |
9/2(+40%) | (2) Jackson Street 9/2, Had too much to do when beaten 4l off 56 at Lingfield last time; effective at 6-7f and acts on a sound surface. In moderate form recently, with others preferred. Capable but lack of pace could mean this doesn't suit his closing style. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (6/1 +25%)Mashaan |
6/1(+25%) | (3) Mashaan 6/1, Went too freely early and found little when beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time. Suited by 7f and acts on a sound surface; needs to rebound after a couple of below-par runs. Might be able to dictate but hasn't fired the last twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (25/1 -56%)Ya Rayah |
25/1(-56%) | (8) Ya Rayah 25/1, Far too free in first-time blinkers and found nothing when beaten 8l in a handicap over 8f at Lingfield last time; wide draw. Prefers 8f and acts on all-weather; out of form and difficult to support. Failed to beat a rival the last twice, most recently in first-time blinkers (retained). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (20/1 -135%)Little Miss Magic |
20/1(-135%) | (5) Little Miss Magic 20/1, Never competitive after missing the break when beaten 5l in a handicap over 6f at Lingfield last time. Suited by 6f and acts on all-weather; out of form at present. Doesn't look as good on AW and this is a belated first crack at 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (40/1 -100%)Darlo Lady |
40/1(-100%) | (9) Darlo Lady 40/1, Never threatened when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; effective at 7/8f and acts on all-weather. Very modest performer. Yet to make the frame and another struggle looks likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (12/1 -85%)Love You More |
12/1(-85%) | (4) Love You More 12/1, Ran to form when beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap over 8f at Lingfield last time; effective at 7f and acts on all-weather. Mark is easing but overall form remains moderate. 0-8 and dropping back to 7f is probably a negative. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (17/2 -89%)Petersburg |
17/2(-89%) | (10) Petersburg 17/2, Had too much to do after missing the break and was well beaten in a novice over 5f at Southwell latest. Usually held up and returns from a short break; showed little in Irish sprints and needs much more for new yard. Switching to a low-grade handicap and moving up in trip will surely help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (22/1 +21%)Once Adaay |
22/1(+21%) | (6) Once Adaay 22/1, Found little when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; wide draw. Effective at 7-8f and acts on all-weather; currently out of form. Arrives here well out of form and goes without headgear for the first time in ages. |

Nebula Stars arguably brings the best most recent form to the table after his third at Lingfield earlier this month, but a chance can be taken on PETERSBURG. James Owen's charge hasn't shown a great deal in three outings in maiden/novice company but is likely to prove a different proposition on his handicap bow. This represents just his second appearance for the stable and he could improve for this step up in distance. Windsor Pass looks best of the rest.

This is much easier than WINDSOR PASS is used to and she may be able to add to her C&D win from January.

2/1(-14%) | (8) Teardrops 2/1, Well positioned and improved when beaten 1/4l off 45 here last time. Effective at 6f and 7f, acts on all-weather, and further progress looks likely in first-time blinkers. Raced freely when just held over C&D latest; player if settling better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (9/2 +50%)Uncle Sam |
9/2(+50%) | (5) Uncle Sam 9/2, Below form and failed to get home when beaten 7l in a handicap here last time. Best at 6f and 7f, acts on all-weather, and now down to a fair mark. C&D winner who has gone backwards recently; handy mark but has a bit to prove.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (9/4 +50%)Ardaddy |
9/4(+50%) | (1) Ardaddy 9/4, Scored by 3/4l off 55 over 7f at Southwell on his penultimate start but was below form and failed to get home when seventh last time. Effective at 6f and 7f, acts on all-weather, and respected if bouncing back. 7f Tapeta winner; too free here (7f) latest; handy mark if return to 6f helps.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (16/1 -60%)Mister Mcgregor |
16/1(-60%) | (3) Mister Mcgregor 16/1, Ran to his recent level in a reapplied hood when beaten 3l off 58 over 7f at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 6f and 7f, acts on all-weather, and drops in trip with headgear removed. 0-17; has gone backwards on turf and AW this year.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (11/1 +21%)Crackinthunder |
11/1(+21%) | (6) Crackinthunder 11/1, Again disappointing when beaten 8l in a 5f handicap here last time. Suited by 5f and acts on all-weather; the return to 6f may suit. Best form puts him in the mix but has gone backwards recently; bit to prove back over 6f.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (28/1 0%)Queen's Palace |
28/1(0%) | (7) Queen's Palace 28/1, Ran to a poor level when down the field in a 7f handicap here most recently. Effective at 6f, acts on all-weather, but hard to fancy on recent form. 0-10; unable to improve on her fourth at Ripon on handicap debut in May; best watched.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (33/1 +18%)Nordic Games |
33/1(+18%) | (2) Nordic Games 33/1, Too keen and found little when finishing down the field in a handicap here most recently. Effective at 5f and 6f, acts on all-weather, but currently out of sorts. 5f Tapeta winner; handy mark after some poor efforts but has plenty to prove at present.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (11/2 -120%)Invincible Annice |
11/2(-120%) | (4) Invincible Annice 11/2, Produced her best form since the summer, finishing strongly to land a handicap by 1 1/2l off 50 over 5f here last time. Effective at 5f and 6f, acts on all-weather, and respected under a penalty if turned out quickly. C&D third and 5f winner on last 2 starts; 6lb penalty to carry but should be involved.. |

The recent C&D winner INVINCIBLE ANNICE has been found an ideal opportunity to follow up, despite having to carry a 6lb penalty. Ardaddy failed to fire here last week but is a player based on his previous Southwell success. However, Teardrops may be the main threat to the selection having put in a career best when third over this track and trip recently.

This may go to TEARDROPS, who gave a good account last time and may be able to get off the mark.

1st (5) (11/4 +50%)Tam Lin |
11/4(+50%) | (5) Tam Lin 11/4, Returned to form when beaten 2 1/2l off a mark of 54 over 8f at Southwell last time. Effective over 7-8f and acts on all-weather; hinted at a revival and fairly treated if building on that effort. Mixed reviews of last-time-out third (fair form but carried his head a bit awkwardly). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (10/1 +38%)Impulse Buy |
10/1(+38%) | (2) Impulse Buy 10/1, Up in trip and may not have stayed when beaten 6l in a handicap over 8f at Kempton last time. Drawn wide; effective at 6f, acts on all-weather, and the mark is falling though stamina remains a question. Returning to 7f should help but his form in handicaps doesn't stack up with some of these. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (9/4 -29%)Mister Sandman |
9/4(-29%) | (3) Mister Sandman 9/4, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a mark of 54 over 6f at Bath last time. Suited by 6f and acts on all-weather; a fair mark and generally consistent performer. Big eyecatcher on stable debut 27 days ago; hard to beat if breaking better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (4/1 +71%)Aim For The Bull |
4/1(+71%) | (7) Aim For The Bull 4/1, Forced wide from a poor draw when down the field in a handicap over 8f at Lingfield last time. Effective over 7-8f and acts on all-weather; disappointing on his last two outings. Out of sorts in bid to make it 16th time lucky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (80/1 0%)Mishy's Star |
80/1(0%) | (10) Mishy's Star 80/1, Needed the run on handicap debut when down the field in a 6f handicap here most recently. Returns from a short break; effective over 6-7f and acts on all-weather; yet to show anything of note. 66-1 last of ten on handicap debut here in September (6f); can't consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (11/1 -120%)Adace |
11/1(-120%) | (4) Adace 11/1, Ran to form when beaten 1l off a mark of 52 over 8f at Lingfield last time. Drawn wide; returns after a short break and effective over 7-8f on all-weather; on a handy mark but needs to build on recent revival. Twice beaten around a length off this mark recently; place claims back from a short break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (50/1 -213%)Anwen |
50/1(-213%) | (6) Anwen 50/1, Improved though possibly a bit flattered when 11l third in a novice at Kempton most recently. Visor applied for the first time; effective at 7f and acts on all-weather; an unlikely winner on handicap debut. Should do better in handicaps and two aids go on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (100/1 -150%)Kameko Spirit |
100/1(-150%) | (9) Kameko Spirit 100/1, Outpaced and never threatened when beaten 10l in a handicap over 5f at Wolverhampton last time. Drawn wide; effective at 5f on all-weather; form trending the wrong way. A change of scenery hasn't had the desired effect and 7f is a new trip for her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (9/2 +59%)Match Anthem |
9/2(+59%) | (8) Match Anthem 9/2, Below form when back up in trip and beaten 10l in a handicap here last time. Effective from 6f to 8f and acts on a sound surface; currently out of form. Hit form this time last year but doesn't look poised to strike based on latest fifth. |

BALLYBAYMOONSHINER won over C&D in May and was a close third on his only subsequent start at Chepstow the following month. On that evidence, it would be no surprise to see the seven-year-old make a winning return here. The recent Bath second Mister Sandman could prove to be the main danger, although Adace and Tam Lin are others who arrive with valid form claims.

If breaking better than on stable debut at Bath 27 days ago, MISTER SANDMAN should be up to disposing of this lot.

10/1(-11%) | (8) King's Crown 10/1, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off 69 over 6f here last time. Effective at 5–6f and acts on any surface. Should be competitive from this mark. C&D winner; handicapper has had his measure of late; dropped 1lb and not written off.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/2 -10%)Binadham |
11/2(-10%) | (4) Binadham 11/2, Held when tight for room late and beaten 3l off 76 at Lingfield last time. Trainer in form. Suited by 5f and acts on a sound or artificial surface. Competitive mark still. Reasonably competitive on his last three starts and 2lb drop will help; each-way player.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (2/1 +40%)Tiriac |
2/1(+40%) | (6) Tiriac 2/1, Produced best form since summer when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 68 here last time. Suited by 5–6f and acts on any surface. Respected up 5lb. C&D scorer on AW debut; nicely treated on best turf form despite penalty; not ruled out.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (11/2 +61%)Dark Kestrel |
11/2(+61%) | (5) Dark Kestrel 11/2, Yard won this last year. Scored by 1 1/4l off 70 here three starts back. Below form and blew the start when 12th, beaten 9 1/4l off 74 last time. Effective at 5–6f and better on the all-weather. Has never won off a mark this high. C&D winner; slowly away here last twice; the handicapper may have taken control.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (11/4 +17%)Castan |
11/4(+17%) | (2) Castan 11/4, Well below form and never a threat when down the field in a handicap at Catterick last time. Has a top course jockey and is suited by 5f. Should be competitive from this mark. Four-time C&D winner; below best of late but on a handy mark and could revive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (22/1 -22%)Albegone |
22/1(-22%) | (7) Albegone 22/1, Outclassed up in grade when beaten 10l in a handicap at York last time. Suited by 5f and acts on any surface. Poor in all three starts since returning from a break. Prolific 5f turf winner; same mark as latest win in May but bit to prove on recent form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (33/1 -50%)Cast No Shadow |
33/1(-50%) | (10) Cast No Shadow 33/1, Too keen and well below form when down the field in a handicap here most recent. Effective at 5f on the all-weather. Hard to fancy on current evidence. Dual C&D winner; handy mark but below par last two starts, giving him a bit to prove now.. |

Last week's C&D winner Tiriac could be vulnerable under a 5lb penalty and the vote goes to TRUE PROMISE. The four-year-old arrives here on the back of two narrow defeats at Southwell in recent months and the return to 5f may help his chances of going one better here. Dandy Dinmont, second to Tiriac last time, is another with claims and completes the shortlist.

Preference is for the consistent DANDY DINMONT, who was unlucky at the start here last time, when second to the penalisted Tiriac.

22/1(+12%) | (7) Taranjerine 22/1, Did too much too soon up in trip on handicap debut, finishing down the field in a 1m6f handicap at Southwell most recently; likely to want at least 12f; more needed to defy this mark. Well beaten in four starts from 1m2f-1m6f; since gelded; drops 4lb; more needed.. |

16/1(+36%) | (9) Pablo Prince 16/1, Met trouble and found little after, well beaten in a handicap over 12f at Lingfield last time; effective at 11-12f, probably better on the all-weather; somewhat irresolute. 1m4f AW winner; handy mark but needs to be much better than in five starts since a break.. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (12/1 +70%)Bloodhound |
12/1(+70%) | (4) Bloodhound 12/1, No obvious excuse when beaten 9l in a handicap over 11f at Kempton last time; off a short break; effective over 10-12f on the all-weather but doesn't handle fast ground; an inconsistent and frustrating maiden. 0-19; handy mark if he can get his act together but has a bit to prove on recent form.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (18/1 +28%)Smokey Malone |
18/1(+28%) | (2) Smokey Malone 18/1, Outpaced and below form when beaten 9l in a handicap over 12f at Lingfield last time; returning from a break; effective over 12-14f on the all-weather; a veteran who remains well treated on old form. Well beaten in all three starts since winning here; has won when fresh and not ruled out.. |

6th (13) (16/1 +36%)Courageous Gold |
16/1(+36%) | (13) Courageous Gold 16/1, Bit below form back down in trip when beaten 6l in a handicap over 12f at Wolverhampton last time; blinkers on for the first time; suited by 14f and probably stays 2m; consistent at a modest level on the all-weather. Unplaced in ten starts and recent efforts don't suggest that run will end here.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (14/1 -75%)Stintino Sunset |
14/1(-75%) | (3) Stintino Sunset 14/1, No obvious excuse when beaten 6l in a handicap over 12f at Southwell last time; had been in good form prior; effective over 10-12f on the all-weather; nicely handicapped and generally consistent. 1m2f course winner; will probably see out this trip; handy mark; each-way possible.. |

10th (8) (16/1 +68%)Dubai Immo |
16/1(+68%) | (8) Dubai Immo 16/1, Never in the race and well beaten in a handicap over 11f at Kempton last time; usually held up; off a short break; effective between 10f and 14f on the all-weather but out of form this summer. Two-time 1m2f course winner; handy mark but plenty to prove after his last five starts.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) (11/1 -38%)Alvesta |
11/1(-38%) | (1) Alvesta 11/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 8l, in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Fakenham last time; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; unexposed and on a fair mark based on maiden form. 0-25; back from hurdling and has each-way claims if in same form as her latest AW start.. |

100/1(-52%) | (14) Dizziwizzbang 100/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle over 2m at Plumpton last time; has shown no worthwhile form on the Flat. Unplaced in ten Flat starts and pulled up over hurdles latest; others preferred.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (12) (14/1 -65%)Advertorial |
14/1(-65%) | (12) Advertorial 14/1, Won by a head off 47 over 1m6f at Wolverhampton three starts back; below form when seventh, beaten 16l off 50 last time; trainer in form; effective from 12f to 16f on the all-weather; fairly treated and not fully exposed over staying trips. Tapeta winner; bit ot prove on Polytrack but should be thereabouts if acting on it.. |

BELLE AMIE built on a promising second at Southwell in September when only beaten a neck at the same venue last time. With the promise of more to come, the three-year-old could get off the mark here. Fornido won over 1m6f at Southwell a month ago and has to be noted once again, while Forglen and Blue Siam complete the shortlist.

A tricky race but FORGLEN arrives in good form and looks a solid option.

11/4(+31%) | (3) Asadjumeirah 11/4, Scored by 3/4l off 52 here in September and ran to form when third last time; effective at 6f and suited by this surface; good chance off the same mark. Five-time C&D winner; placed here in three of his last four starts; can go well again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (9/2 -13%)Catherine Chroi |
9/2(-13%) | (6) Catherine Chroi 9/2, Returned to form back on this surface when beaten 2l off 49 here last time; best at 5/6f; could build on latest effort. Been quiet but more encouraging latest and interesting from a good handicap mark. |

25/1(-14%) | (7) Northerner 25/1, Again below form, up in trip after a wind operation when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap here last time; suited by 5f and handles any surface; all to prove at present. Third here in September but she's struggled in two starts since, including over C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (50/1 -52%)Bernie The Bear |
50/1(-52%) | (8) Bernie The Bear 50/1, Too keen and below form up in trip when beaten 10l in a classified race over 7f at Ayr last time; effective at 6/7f and acts on this surface; respected back here. Third in a classified event over C&D in March; below best latest; return to 6f will suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (28/1 -40%)Nazca |
28/1(-40%) | (5) Nazca 28/1, Found little when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap here last time; suited by 6f and acts on this surface; mark continues to fall. Three-time C&D winner; mostly struggled since the most recent of those wins in March 2024. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (66/1 -32%)Nazalan |
66/1(-32%) | (4) Nazalan 66/1, Found little and was well below form when down the field in a handicap here most recently; effective at 6/7f; struggling badly of late. Struggled on last four starts and the blinkers now return; lots to prove. |

SPUN TO GOLD has won his last two starts and Jim Goldie's gelding can defy a 4lb rise for the latest of those wins at Southwell to make it a hat-trick here. The recent C&D third Catherine Chroi is likely to be in the mix once again, while Asadjumeirah edges out Em Jay Kay to be the pick of the remainder.

Spun To Gold is respected in his bid for the hat-trick but CATHERINE CHROI may be able to take advantage of a good mark.

9/2(+10%) | (1) Justcallmepete 9/2, Well treated off an unchanged mark, he ran to form when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 75 at Kempton last time. Effective from 6f to 7f, he acts on soft, good to firm, and all-weather surfaces, and remains well treated on old efforts. 2nd (2) (9/2 +63%)Existent |
9/2(+63%) | (2) Existent 9/2, Outpaced and below form when beaten 4l off 77 over 5f at Doncaster last time. Returns from a short break, suited by 5f and acts on any surface, though largely out of form with a losing run stretching beyond three years. 2-14 on AW; course winner; drops in grade; claims if back in same form as earlier in year.. |

3rd (3) (25/1 +50%)Em Four |
25/1(+50%) | (3) Em Four 25/1, Forced wide from a poor draw and beaten 10l in a handicap at Kempton last time. Effective over 6f on a sound surface, but his current mark looks unhelpful. C&D winner; 3lb higher than Epsom win in August; handicapper may now be in control.. |

5/1(-67%) | (5) Tyger Bay 5/1, Bit free and met trouble but ran to form when beaten a length off 72 here last time. Effective at 6f and suited by all-weather conditions; running back into form. C&D winner who is up only 2lb for a C&D second latest; should be involved.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (11/1 +21%)Fantasy Master |
11/1(+21%) | (11) Fantasy Master 11/1, No obvious excuse when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time. Trainer in form. Effective at 5f and 6f, acts on all-weather; best at Class 3 or below, though struggling for form of late. C&D winner; held (C&D) on latest start; handy mark if reviving on stable debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (15/2 -25%)Giant |
15/2(-25%) | (6) Giant 15/2, Missed the break and was unsuited by the drop in trip when beaten 8l in a handicap here last time. In good form prior; effective from 6f to 8f, best at 7f, and suited by all-weather. Fairly treated but this could be a sharp test. 7f and 1m course winner; placed over C&D; blew start latest; player.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (13/2 -86%)Sensorium |
13/2(-86%) | (4) Sensorium 13/2, Returned to form in a first-time tongue tie when landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off 70 here last time. Best at 6f and acts on fast ground and all-weather surfaces. Back in form and still well treated on his 2yo form. C&D winner latest; since gelded; up 5lb but claimer offsets that; big player.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (10/3 +76%)Rebel Empire |
10/3(+76%) | (8) Rebel Empire 10/3, Never threatened when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time. From a top course trainer and usually held up; suited by 6f on the all-weather but recent form has tailed off. C&D winner; below par recently but on a very handy mark if reviving on stable debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (66/1 -136%)Fort Augustus |
66/1(-136%) | (12) Fort Augustus 66/1, Far too free when lit up by first-time blinkers and beaten 8l in a handicap at Leicester last time. Returns from a short break; suited by 6f and acts on all-weather surfaces, though his form has been inconsistent lately. 0-10 for Charles Hills; market may prove best guide on stable debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (22/1 -267%)General Assembly |
22/1(-267%) | (9) General Assembly 22/1, Well treated up 7lb, he ran to form when landing a handicap by a neck off 70 over 5f here last time. Effective at 5f and 6f, acts on good to soft, good, and all-weather; his latest C&D win suggests a further 2lb rise is lenient for his hat-trick bid. Back-to-back 5f wins here; up 2lb; yet to win beyond 5f but gets this trip; considered.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (22/1 +12%)Diamond Dreamer |
22/1(+12%) | (7) Diamond Dreamer 22/1, Never threatened when beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap here last time. Usually held up; suited by 5f and acts on all-weather surfaces. Still above his last winning mark and this trip may stretch him. Below par last twice but back on a competitive mark as a result, if he can be revived.. |

The recent Kempton winner Justcallmepete is likely to be popular once again, although a 5lb penalty for that success is a slight concern. Similar comments apply to the hat-trick seeking General Assembly, so preference is for SENSORIUM, who won well over C&D last month and a 5lb subsequent rise is negated by Toby Moore's 7lb claim. Tyger Bay edges out Fantasy Master to be next best.

The suggestion is SENSORIUM, who found his feet back at this level last time and, with a claimer offsetting his 5lb rise, can follow up.

4/1(-45%) | (5) Good Old Days 4/1, Raced a bit freely but improved when allowed an easy lead, finishing second by a neck in a 9f novice at Wolverhampton last time; effective up to 10f and in fair form with more to come. 4/6(+56%) | (1) Sprightly Dance 4/6, Quickened clear comfortably when winning a novice at Wolverhampton over 9f by 5 1/2l last time; effective from 1m to 10f and bred to stay further. Debut form has been franked and she's progressing well, with a strong chance of defying the penalty. Built on debut promise with decisive 9.5f Wolverhampton win; penalised; big player.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (125/1 -213%)Everest |
125/1(-213%) | (2) Everest 125/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Lingfield last time and faces a tough task here. 0-10 in the other code; watching brief advised now switched to this discipline.. |

Sprightly Dance took a step forward from her second on debut at Yarmouth to get off the mark at Wolverhampton last time and is respected. However, she might find it tough to give her penalty away to GOOD OLD DAYS. The Gosdens' filly outran her odds of 12/1 to take the silver medal home at this venue earlier this month and, with the potential for more to come, she could be the one to beat. Quamby is another to note.

After her decisive win SPRIGHTLY DANCE is an obvious choice. Some of the others are potential improvers.

1st (3) (2/1 +33%)Love Your Work |
2/1(+33%) | (3) Love Your Work 2/1, Scored by 1/4l off 59 over 8f at Kempton three starts back. Ran to form when beaten 4l off 63 last time after a positive ride up in trip. Suited by 8f, effective at 10f; in form and mark remains competitive. Gave it a good shot from the front over C&D 20 days ago and should do so again tonight. |

2nd (4) (10/1 -43%)Kartini |
10/1(-43%) | (4) Kartini 10/1, Disappointing on handicap debut when beaten 5l over 7f at Newcastle last time. Wears tongue-tie for the first time; effective at 7f; longer trip should suit but needs more. Needs more but there's real hope for 1m2f on breeding. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (3/1 +57%)Alfie D |
3/1(+57%) | (8) Alfie D 3/1, Disappointing up in trip when comfortably held over 1m6f at Southwell last time. Wears visor for the first time; off a short break; effective at 12f on the all-weather; drops in trip after latest effort. First-time headgear (visor) probably needs to sharpen him up back at 1m2f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (11/1 +8%)Grey Phoenix |
11/1(+8%) | (9) Grey Phoenix 11/1, Far too free and never threatened when stepped up in trip over 12f at Kempton last time. Effective at 1m on the all-weather; current mark looks stiff enough. Can only watch over this intermediate trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (16/1 -33%)Holly Holy |
16/1(-33%) | (7) Holly Holy 16/1, Below maiden form and made no impact from off the pace over 8f at Southwell most recently. Trainer in form; off a short break. Sprint-bred but effective at 8f on the all-weather; may improve for longer trip. Not an obvious candidate all things considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (10/3 -21%)Betty Bassett |
10/3(-21%) | (5) Betty Bassett 10/3, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 4/4l in a handicap over 8f at Newcastle latest. Effective from 8f to 10f; respected up 2lb. Has generally run well in defeat since scoring on handicap debut; solid option. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (33/1 -32%)Yasmina |
33/1(-32%) | (2) Yasmina 33/1, Needed the run on handicap debut when well beaten over 7f here last time. Absent for a very lengthy period; effective from 7f to 8f; needs to prove ability remains following long layoff. Soundly beaten on handicap/stable debut here when last seen 538 days ago; up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (66/1 -200%)Tilsworth Max |
66/1(-200%) | (10) Tilsworth Max 66/1, No obvious excuse when beaten 7/2l over 8f here last time. Effective from 7f to 8f; regressive profile. Placed just once in 20 starts and has finished weakly when going beyond 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (12/1 -85%)Egoiste |
12/1(-85%) | (1) Egoiste 12/1, Never competitive after missing the break when finishing down the field in a handicap here most recently. Effective from 1m to 12f, best on the all-weather; current mark demands more. Out of form in May when last seen and probably wouldn't want it to get tactical. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (66/1 -65%)Luisa |
66/1(-65%) | (6) Luisa 66/1, Probably didn't handle the ground when down the field in a Nottingham handicap last time. Effective up to 10f, all worthwhile form on the all-weather; bit to prove at present. Can't consider on what we've seen in two runs since changing hands for 9,500gns in July. |

This looks a wide-open contest, so only a tentative vote goes to LOVE YOUR WORK. Darryll Holland's nine-year-old is a course winner who finished second in this grade over track and trip on his latest outing and could capitalise on an unchanged rating. Kartini sports a first-time tongue-tie in the hope of bringing out improvement on just her second outing in a handicap, so she is of interest. Betty Bassett isn't ruled out either.

With form figures of 12 in Class 6 contests, BETTY BASSETT looks the play. Returning to further is a small plus.
Ths is the racecard key.
