LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Exciting chase recruit SALVATOR MUNDI debuts in a race in which his trainer has won five of the last six renewals. The five-year-old has finished well held at two Cheltenham Festivals, but is high-class at his best and his free-going style should suit two-mile chasing. The winner of a maiden hurdle by 62 lengths, he should again score by a wide margin if jumping soundly. Kappa Jy Pyke was outclassed twice at Grade 1 level last season, while another of the selection's stablemates - Sainte Tartare - was Listed-placed in April.

With a possible Arkle campaign ahead, SALVATOR MUNDI should have too much class for his opponents and can make a winning chase debut

AFFORDALE FURY is a smart performer and has come back to his best this season. Runner-up at 150/1 in the 2023 Albert Bartlett, he missed 438 days prior to returning for only one run last term and, this season, has run two solid races. He chased home Envoi Allen at Grade 1 level at Down Royal and is the clear pick on today's adjusted ratings. Appreciate It, winner of the 2021 Supreme Novices' Hurdle, rolled back the years to beat stablemate Classic Getaway here in January. Age isn't on his side, but he might confirm that form and is Paul Townend's pick.

Getting weight from his main rivals, AFFORDALE FURY (nap) should go well dropped in class having taken his form to a new level of late

Creditable third of 16 when reappearing from a long absence over C&D a month ago.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

MERRY MONTY has solid claims off the back of finishing a respectable third over C&D on his return from a lengthy absence. That fine effort will have blown any cobwebs away and Chris Down's charge has plenty of scope for improvement on only his fourth start over fences. Nedzor's second at Ffos Las can be marked up given the winner has gone in again since, while Ridin Solo offered something to work on when third at Bangor on his chasing bow.

Rian Corcoran looks good value for his claim and RIVER RUN FREE won two of his four chase starts last season.

Shark Hanlon launches a strong raid on Taunton today and his Pure Logic is a genuine contender after a string of solid efforts in defeat. The latest of those came in April, though, whereas MISS ALTEA BLUE has recent match practice on her side after chasing home accomplished stable companion Fasol on Badger Beer day at Wincanton. Sun Art suffered a costly defeat at Hereford, but should be better for that outing.

On these terms MISS ALTEA BLUE has a good chance of doubling her tally. Consistent Pure Logic is a solid second choice.

Below form in both chases this autumn; hard to predict on first hurdle start since 2023.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

MALAGO ROSE was sent off favourite for her Fontwell comeback, but it's possible she needed the run having weakened into third late on. There was still encouragement to take from the performance, though, and the drop in trip won't hurt her chances either. Island Run is also expected to come on from his return, which came following a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Belgarum is interesting now back over hurdles, while Tropical Speed is turned out quickly after last week's Plumpton farce.

This can go to class-dropper ISLAND RUN, who shaped quite well before tiring on his reappearance outing at Exeter this month.

A well-supported winner at both Listowel and Punchestown, he finished well beaten at Clonmel most recently but was possibly unsuited by testing ground. He often hits a flat spot and was well held on his most recent chases last year, but has a light weight and competes on a suitably sound surface. The reappearing Sammy Smart was down the field at the Punchestown Festival, but had previously shown form and is interesting on his handicap chase debut under a 5lb claimer, being rated 10lb higher over hurdles. Midnight Moonshine has been running consistently well.

This looks like a good opportunity for RISING DUST who operates from a reduced chase mark and has improved plenty over timber lately

An import from France, KHRISMA will likely prove a warm order on only her third start for Nicky Henderson. She finished runner-up to a subsequent dual Listed winner on a trip over to Punchestown in May and that is easily the strongest form on offer. Fourth in a bumper at Hereford on debut, Neeps And Tatties is related to several winners over hurdles, while Pearl Smoke could shape well.

Barring some mishap this should be a stroll in the park for KHRISMA who is streets clear of her rivals on all known form.

TOM TAGGLE was already out of contention when coming to grief on his Chepstow reappearance, but that will have blown away any cobwebs. He will appreciate the step up from an extended 2m3f, having struck over just shy of this trip at the Welsh venue back in the spring, and he has scope for further improvement. Getuptheyard showed a bit more when switched back to timber at Lingfield, although recent Kempton third Avada Kedavra might be the primary threat. Something Simple is worth a look on his handicap debut.

Being a solid contender on last-time-out form, AVADA KEDAVRA is taken to open his rules account. Something Simple is second pick.

RIP WHEELER made the best possible start to his chasing career at Huntingdon, travelling well before justifying favouritism with something up his sleeve. The runner-up did no harm to the form by occupying the same position a few days later and the Moores' five-year-old can make it two from two. Moor End also struck on his fencing bow - at Uttoxeter at the end of last month - and must be feared. Highway Hero, a stablemate of the selection, might be the one for third.

Produced with a well-timed challenge to win on his recent chasing debut, RIP WHEELER could still be well handicapped after a 3lb rise.

ARSLAN showed nice ability in a smart bumper in February and will be ready for this reappearance. A rare jumper by top Flat sire Wootton Bassett, he was purchased for 180,000 euros following his debut in a Tralee point-to-point and although nicely held at Fairyhouse subsequently, that race is working out well. Riskaway has good recent form and finished fourth at the Punchestown Festival in May. He also has point-to-point experience and should compete. Le Kap ran well over hurdles at Clonmel recently, but is vulnerable to smart types.

Having gone close in a point, a step up in trip should help ARSLAN who finished 3rd in a Fairyhouse bumper and that form has worked out

Wicked Thoughts should make up into a better chaser than hurdler, although he didn't do too badly over the smaller obstacles. The same can be said for MAXIMUM OFFERS, who won at Huntingdon before placing twice under penalties. He cost 105,000 pounds shortly after going close in a point-to-point towards the end of 2023 and connections have presumably been dying to get him over fences.

The Paul Nicholls-trained WICKED THOUGHTS brings potential to this sphere and he is first choice ahead of Maximum Offers.

Sea Presenting showed plenty of promise during her first hurdling campaign and has had wind surgery since finding only one too strong at Huntingdon back in February. Broomfield Aderra gave Dan Skelton something to work with when third on her first appearance for the in-form handler at Fontwell, but this can go to AFANCY GETAWAY. The five-year-old has joined Ben Pauling since running away with a point-to-point in Ireland and big things are expected of her.

The most interesting runner is AFANCY GETAWAY, who was a wide-margin Irish point winner on her debut last December

This looks like a nice opportunity for MUSIC OF LIFE to get her head in front. The Walk In The Park mare has been runner-up three times over timber, including twice in handicap company. Her mark of 102 is probably good enough to land a race of this standard. Daboya has to give the selection a nice bit of weight, having won on the Flat. She was fourth in a strong mares' maiden hurdle at Listowel and has to be respected, despite carrying her penalty. Crohan Lady had some nice runs in bumpers and won a point-to-point. She's another for the shortlist on her hurdling debut.

4yo filly DABOYA showed much more when fourth at Limerick in September and that form is working out

HOLOKEA makes most appeal of the three recent scorers. A ready winner on testing ground over the extended 3m1f at Ffos Las on his first start since May, a 5lb rise may not be enough to halt his good progress over fences. Howaya Now also struck in fine style at Ffos Las and cannot be ruled out with any confidence. He is preferred to Betterforeveryone, who just prevailed on good going at Bangor.

None of the eight can be dismissed but HOLOKEA won with sufficient authority at Ffos Las to believe he could still be well handicapped.

While each of these are open to any amount of progress over fences, it is hard to look past NOBLE PARK. Useful hurdler Blue Las gets on well with Dylan Johnston and is of some interest, as is Vanderpoel, who should be much sharper for last month's chasing bow.

The suggestion is GOLD IN THE RIVERS, who ran a big race when second over C&D on his recent chasing debut.

French import LE DIVIN ENFANT can make a successful start for Willie Mullins. The Saint Des Saints gelding was fourth to Grade 1 winner Lulamba on his sole outing over hurdles in his native land and this looks a nice spot to make an impression on his Irish debut. Maxwell Smart ran a solid enough race to finish third at Down Royal at the start of the month and might be the one to give him most to do here. Glenrush Bay showed some promise when sixth at Cork just four days ago and could figure in a race where there doesn't appear to be a lot of strength in depth.

With race fitness on his side and the form of his recent third at Down Royal working out, perhaps MAXWELL SMART is the play

Well beaten in three starts over hurdles, FORTUNE DANCER proved a different proposition on her first start over fences. It could pay to stick with SOLDIER'S LEAP in this company. Always travelling well at Stratford on his reappearance, he duly won with plenty left in the tank and there looks more to come from him this season. Hidol Du Livet ran fresh at Worcester on his handicap debut and first start since 2023. He could be seen in a better light if settling better, while the returning L'allier looks fairly treated on last year's fourth here.

Most of these come with risks but not SOLDIER'S LEAP (nap) who is proving consistent and he was good value for the win at Stratford.

He has returned from a layoff in fine fettle and, given he faces an easier assignment than when runner-up at Wincanton a week ago, Daisy Hitchins' charge is taken to pick up the winning thread.

Gore Point is respected but fellow 5yo CHIEF O'HARA ran more promisingly at Warwick last week and has potential for better.

Dartmouth Rose didn't appear to have any real excuses last time, but she had been holding her form well prior and may well bounce back. San Aer also comes into this off the back of a good runner-up effort, on the Flat at Galway. He is on a competitive mark over timber and could be the danger. Harry's Dream ran a solid enough race when fifth at Gowran and may be place material.

No Risk Today had a subsequent bumper winner back in third when landing an Irish point-to-point and is one to note on her Rules debut. Lord Virginia will be sharper for last month's reappearance and ran well at Newton Abbot back in April, but ARMS PARK boasts the strongest form. Evan Williams' four-year-old displayed plenty of potential when runner-up at Plumpton on his introduction and looks one to keep on the right side of.

Plumpton runner-up ARMS PARK is the pick on bumper form. Several others are interesting, notably No Risk Today.

LTO Selection:hiden content,

LEONETTO showed early pace at Doncaster on debut before the testing ground took its toll in the closing stages. A half-brother to Group 1 winner Lady Bowthorpe, the son of Frankel will likely find this surface more to his liking and he may well have a say in the finish. Kevin Stott abandons City Of Dreams for stablemate and newcomer Joud. The latter is related to three winners, while Loquella is another debutant to note.

It's possible LEONETTO simply got stuck in the mud on debut and this well-bred Frankel colt is given another chance.

PIERCHIC failed to threaten the winner when third at Wolverhampton on debut. Saying that, the daughter of Palace Pier was doing her best work in the closing stages and has to be of interest here with that experience under her belt. Neat And Tidy debuted in a tougher contest at Newbury in September and could feature at this level having subsequently switched yards. Accommodation, So Regal and Let Her Go are newcomers to note.

Pierchic should have come on from her debut, but is opposed by the newcomer SO REGAL who makes strong appeal on breeding.

EDDAARI has shown enough in a couple of starts on the turf to suggest he should go close at this lower level. Third at Nottingham last month, he can build on that promising effort with Jack Callan's allowance in his favour. The Gosdens have a good record here and DIRECTOR'S CUT, who showed promise on his Wolverhampton debut, is taken to get off the mark.

Joolianoss was a revelation at the beginning of the year and it will be interesting to see how ready he is for this reappearance. In contrast, UNASSUMING was seen in action just last week, when pipped over 7f here. The return to a mile is very much in her favour and the decision to get her out again before her revised rating kicks in can pay dividends. Rainbow Nebula and First Ambition are just two others to consider in a competitive affair.

Although FANTASTIC FOX hasn't won for a while his C&D record is good and he's well treated if a return to Newcastle sparks a revival.

Lapidarist returns to this lower grade with a chance of making the frame. Mali Star has shown steady progress and could have say in proceedings, but DIAMOND ALI might prove the one to side with. He posted his best effort so far when beaten less than a length upped to 7f at Leicester and, with this extra yardage offering the promise of further improvement, the son of A'Ali may well open his account.

This may be a stronger race than the one CROWN THE FUTURE won on Tuesday but he was well on top at the finish and can defy his penalty.

Bibendum beat Henery Hawk to the runner-up spot over track and trip, and he didn't get a clear run next time so that effort is best forgiven. Desert Champion burst back into life when second over C&D, on the same card that Pockley let favourite-backers down over 6f. The unexposed Gemmari made a fairly pleasing return at Kempton last month and this longer trip has threatened to suit for a while now. Richard Hannon's gelding merits the utmost respect, especially in these calmer waters, although the vote goes to AN BRADAN FEASA. The son of Camelot won twice over hurdles before running with credit upon returning to the level, and he too looks certain to benefit from a step up in distance. Saratoga Gold is also noted.

The vote goes to GEMMARI who remains unexposed, while there is enough in his pedigree to suggest he can cope with the step up in trip.

Ryan Kavanagh was seen to good effect on UNITING at Kempton last week, with Ian Williams' three-year-old showing a good attitude to break his duck. He escapes a penalty and, with his confidence presumably buoyed, he can follow up. Hale End has been freshened up following a busy summer and remains on a handy mark. Gressington has claims if judged on his C&D second at the start of the month, rather than his subsequent Southwell display.

Although Uniting is 3lb well in after his apprentice race win last week, slight preference is for GRESSINGTON.

Pinjarra and Calafrio were comfortable winners last time out, but they're both drawn wider than ideal and CARLTON AND CO was impressive latest too. Lewis Chalkley got a good tune out of the mare that day and, despite having a penalty to shoulder this time, she might be hard to reel in. Up The Monk had an excuse at Wolverhampton and it would be unwise to write off Sir Rodneyredblood, who has eight course wins to his name.

Carlton And Co is greatly respected but CALAFRIO (nap) won decisively at Kempton on her stable debut and can follow up.

James Evans' BUNGLE BAY (nap) scored at Wolverhampton last time and can garner a fourth win of 2025 with that form having been franked.

A competitive handicap could go the way of TYCOON. Less exposed than most of today's rivals, the son of Kingman has been gelded since finishing a respectable sixth at York in September, and his yard has been among the winners in the past week. Bragbor has solid claims having just missed out at Newcastle recently, while the progressive King's Code just got the better of Londoner when scoring at Kempton and that pair are hard to separate.

The selection is BRAGBOR who has his first race away from Newcastle but who may find the set up of this race suiting him.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
