There were 39 Races on Saturday 4th November 2023 across 5 meetings. There was 8 races at Ayr, 9 races at Newmarket, 7 races at Wetherby, 7 races at Ascot, 8 races at Chelmsford-City, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.

The market is likely to be all-informative and it wouldn't be a surprise to see money arrive for Ralph Beckett's FUN LOVING, a 350,000gns Le Havre filly who is a half-sister to the useful Lysander. Godolphin filly Dubai Melody obviously has to come under the microscope with Charlie Appleby ending the campaign in such strong fashion, whilst Arts Of War also catches the eye being a half-sister to a Listed-placed filly in France, though the presence of a hood tempers enthusiasm slightly.

Virtually no form to go on but the William Haggas/Cieren Fallon partnership have bagged two of the past three runnings of this and so their unraced LITTLE ROSE is taken to continue the good work and edge out fellow Dubawi filly and stablemate Love Dynasty. Through The Echoes, Arts of War and Dubai Melody are other newcomers with the potential to have a say, especially if the market speaks in their favour.

Preference is for SINOLOGY, whose attractive pedigree suggests testing ground will be right up her street.

GHAIHABAN went unsupported on her recent debut over 6f at Windsor but showed plenty of promise to finish second, running on in a fashion which suggests she will relish the extra furlong on offer here. With that experience to draw on, she should take some stopping. There is plenty to like about both Lunar Eclipse and Fair Point on paper, whilst Sea Journey would be of particular interest if supported in the market.

GHAIHABAN should have learnt plenty from her encouraging Windsor debut and can get off the mark. The chief threat may come from the debutants, with Sea Journey and Lunar Eclipse of particular interest.

Fair Point, Lunar Eclipse and Sea Journey are very interesting newcomers but this could go to Windsor runner-up GHAIHABAN.

FLORIDA DREAMS confirmed the promise of his debut success at Musselburgh when taking the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree and Nicky Richards appears to have another bright prospect on his hands. That said, the five-year-old is unlikely to have things his own way on his hurdling debut with impressive Wetherby scorer Indeevar Bleu in opposition. Olly Murphy's charge bounded clear on his racecourse bow and has to be considered a strong threat. Primoz and I Love My Baie are others capable of a decent showing.

A strong race of its type for the track. INDEEVAR BLEU and Florida Dream are 2 cracking hurdling prospects judged on their bumper exploits. The latter won a Grade 2 event at Aintree in April, but it was very hard not to be impressed with the way the former blew away the opposition at Wetherby in March and he shades the vote. I Love My Baie shouldn't be overlooked either.
Class & Speed Card

A Group 3 in which all nine protagonists have a win under their belts but a number didn't improve as much as expected second time out, though Orne had excuses when not appearing to get home over a mile. One who bucked the trend was TELEMARK, who seemingly relished softer ground when scoring with plenty up his sleeve at Yarmouth last month and he is taken to follow up at the chief expense of fellow improver Finbar Furey, who has joined Jane Chapple-Hyam's yard for 180,000gns since opening his account in good style at Salisbury.

Preference is for FINBAR FUREY, who found testing conditions in is favour at Salisbury last month and remains with potential for his new yard. Witness Stand arrives on the back of an excellent effort here last month and is feared most, whilst Telemark still looked far from the finished article when scoring at Yarmouth and is also much respected.

An open race but TELEMARK clocked a good time in winning on testing ground at Yarmouth and the yard has some top 2yos.

JOSHUA DES FLOS has made an encouraging start to his career, making the frame in two good bumpers, as well as chasing home a couple of smart types in a Punchestown maiden hurdle. The form of his most recent performance, when third at Kilbeggan, has worked out well, with the first and second both subsequently winning. Little Miss Dante is feared most after a good NH Flat race campaign, with Marty Mcfly and Prontoanita heading the remainder.

JOSHUA DES FLOS shaped well when third in a big-field maiden hurdle at Punchestown a year ago and has to be considered the one to beat with improvement on the cards. Little Miss Dante ran out an easy winner on her second bumper outing and is the obvious threat.
Class & Speed Card

A highly encouraging runner-up on his hurdling bow at Uttoxeter last month, BROOK BAY should be well suited by going up in distance as a point-to-point winner and he can get off the mark under Rules. That may be at the main expense of impressive Uttoxeter bumper scorer Cherie D'am, who is a key player on her timber debut. Dontyawantme is of interest on her first start for new connections, while Hey Brother and Wild Side Of Life cannot be ruled out either.

CHERIE D'AM probably didn't beat a great deal in a Uttoxeter bumper on her Rules debut back in April, but she had the others well strung out and appeals as the type to do well over jumps for her top stable. Dontyawantme, a bumper winner for Fergal O'Brien, will be suited by the step up in trip on this switch to hurdling, while Wild Side of Life requires a close look in the betting having opened his account in points in easy fashion in April.
Class & Speed Card

An open event in which plenty will fancy their chances, so only a tentative vote can go to AWAYTHELAD. He was beaten only four lengths by the now 133-rated Crambo over C&D last November, but was unable to go on thereafter. Ben Pauling's charge looks extremely well treated on that performance, though, and it would be no surprise to see him take a step forward today. Others to note include Immortal, Ed Keeper and Idem.

Competitive fare with IDEM getting the vote on his handicap debut. He has race-fitness on his side, impressive when scoring over further at Kelso last time, and can progress further. Immortal promises to do better in handicaps this term and is bound to be popular for Nicky Henderson. Estacas and Saladam are also on the shortlist.

This handicap debut down south is a much stiffer test but topweight IDEM is going places judged on the manner of his win at Kelso.
Class & Speed Card

RAZEYNA was far from disgraced in fourth over 7f at Newbury last month and she is able to compete off the same rating. The four-year-old takes a step down in grade and distance, which could bring out the improvement needed to take this. The main danger is Gemini Star, who has been knocking hard on the door of late, while Ramiro is another to consider in an open contest.

AMAZONIAN DREAM had several of these rivals behind her when returning to winning ways at Windsor last month and remains feasibly treated. She gets the nod. Leicester-scorer Albert Cee will be dangerous if handling these likely extreme conditions, whilst Verdansk and Cold Stare are also of interest.

A competitive sprint in which VERDANSK is taken to build on the promise of his recent stable debut. Razeyna is next best.
Class & Speed Card

THUNDER IN MILAN created a big impression when winning easily on his return to action at Perth in September and he is hard to oppose on the back of that effort, despite a 9lb rise in the ratings. Aviewtosea was not beaten far at all when third at Stratford on his first appearance following wind surgery and he is likely to be in the mix once again, while Everyday Champagne and I Am Gonna Be are others to note.

THUNDER IN MILAN looked at the top of his game when going in at Perth last time and with that form proving strong Lucinda Russell's 7-y-o is taken to make light of a 9 lb hike in the weights. Last year's victor Sputnick is next on the list ahead of Nick Alexander's new recruit Everyday Champagne and the selection's stablemate I Am Gonna Be.
Class & Speed Card

A progressive sort towards the end of last season, with two victories in his last three, EATON COLLINA has run well fresh before and this looks like a good opportunity on his return. C&D winner Gallic Geordie arrives with solid claims, while Cruz Control is a key player if coming here instead of his preferred engagement at Ascot. Last year's winner Ladronne is another to note, despite a 6lb higher mark this time around.

Plenty are in with a shout. EATON COLLINA made a bright start to life over fences last term and returns on a still lenient-looking mark so he can rifle in another success at the chief expense of ex-French winner Fricotin, who could have more to offer now starting out for new connections. Gallic Geordie, Mount Tempest and Cruz Control also have much to recommend them and need factoring into this competitive handicap chase.
Class & Speed Card

ARE U WISE TO THAT got off the mark at the first time of asking over fences on his latest outing over 2m4f at Warwick in September and he can put that chase experience to good use. Jonjo O'Neill's charge was going away at the line on that occasion and a 7lb rise doesn't appear out of his reach. Hermino Aa was improving nicely when last seen winning over hurdles at Warwick in March and he isn't ruled out of continuing that progression over the larger obstacles, while Jipcot can be seen to better effect.

ARE U WISE TO THAT made an impressive comeback on chase debut at Warwick 6 weeks ago and looks sure to win more races in this sphere. He gets the vote over Cruz Control, Hermino Aa and Twinjets in what should be an informative contest.

This is a step up in grade for ARE U WISE TO THAT but he created a pretty good impression when winning on his chasing debut.
Class & Speed Card

NEW CHELSEA may still be a maiden after three starts but he has shown plenty of promise on each of those efforts, including when only beaten a head by a subsequent winner at Newbury in September. The son of New Bay could have any amount of improvement to come on his nursery debut and looks the way to go. The main threat is Tipsy Tiger after his victory at Nottingham, while Classy Boy is noted too.

NEW CHELSEA was denied only by a promising stablemate at Newbury on his most recent outing and looks to have been handed a lenient opening mark based on that, so a big run is expected on his nursery debut. The way Bust A Move kept on at York suggests this longer trip could bring about improvement, and he's feared most.

Winning a nursery at Nottingham as he did suggests that TIPSY TIGER (nap) is well equipped to win this race in a right slog.
Class & Speed Card

Glinger Flame won with plenty in hand at Kelso last time and must be respected off 6lb higher, along with Wakool, who bids to retain his crown having won the corresponding event off an 8lb lower mark last year. Preference, however, is for the Rebecca Menzies-trained SCHALKE. The son of Malinas posted an excellent fourth in a premier handicap at Sandown in February and is able to compete from an unchanged mark today. Conditions ought to favour the eight-year-old, and a winning return might be on the cards.

SCHALKE signed off last term with an excellent second at Sandown and with his yard going really well he is fancied to capitalise on a handy-looking mark on his return. Last year's winner Wakool rates a big threat though after a recent spin on the Flat, with Nicky Richards' duo Glinger Flame and Caius Marcius also in the picture in a competitive handicap.

Last year's easy winner WAKOOL is 8lb higher now but has since added a Grade 2 success to his haul and might be the answer.
Class & Speed Card

A high-class Listed affair in which slight preference is for KATEIRA, who ended last season with an excellent second in the Mersey Novices' Hurdle. Dan Skelton's progressive mare could be well suited by dropping back in trip, but it's the fact she is proven over further that may see her outstay the classy Luccia, who also made the frame in an Aintree Grade 1 when last seen. A taking winner of the Mares Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham, with Luccia back in fourth, You Wear It Well is a key player, but must give weight all round.

An open renewal despite the field size. LUCCIA didn't quite live up to expectations at the spring Festivals but, as a 5-y-o, time is very much on her side. She's fancied to hit the ground running and reverse Dawn Run form with You Wear It Well, with the Dan Skelton trained mare Kateira feared most in receipt of weight from that pair.

Kateira and Luccia are feared but preference is for YOU WEAR IT WELL, so impressive at the Cheltenham Festival in the spring.
Class & Speed Card

Boothill landed a valuable handicap over C&D on just his second start over fences in November last year and followed that up by taking the Wayward Lad at Kempton over Christmas. The eight-year-old returns on a mark that he is likely to be competitive off, but a chance is taken on FRERE D'ARMES. His early-season form last year was especially strong, beating Haddex Des Obeaux at Kempton before winning a Newbury contest that worked out well, and he had excuses when returning after an injury in the spring. Saint Segal, Red Rookie and the veteran First Flow are others likely to enter the reckoning.

FRERE D'ARMES disappointed on his final outing but he did very well over fences last season otherwise and remains on a decent mark for the start of this campaign. Boothill's 3 wins over fences last season includes a C&D handicap so is another to consider along with First Flow, who has a very good record around here.

Class act Funambule Sivola (second choice) is not dismissed lightly but assured jumper BOOTHILL looks a chaser with more to offer.
Class & Speed Card

DASHING ROGER relished conditions when going in by over five lengths in a class 4 event at Nottingham on his latest outing and the handicapper hit him with a 9lb rise. The six-year-old should get similar ground on this occasion, which could make him the one to beat. Metal Merchant got his head back in front at Ascot last time after a very solid season and should go well back in handicap company, while Alpha Crucis won at Goodwood last month and is also of interest.

TALIS EVOLVERE clearly improved markedly for a gelding operation coupled with the step up to 1m when a taking winner at Pontefract in September and the assessor may have taken a chance with this 3-y-os opening mark. There's plenty of depth to this, with City of York, Kings Code and Prince of Zenda a trio of potential threats.

Top of the list is the fast-improving 3yo CITY OF YORK, who completed a hat-trick with a heavy-ground win at Newbury in September.
Class & Speed Card

A decent contest featuring the hat-trick seeking Hidden Commander, while Whodini is arguably an even more progressive sort on the evidence of a comfortable win at Huntingdon last month for which he has been hit by a 6lb rise. For all that, preference is for GRAND VOYAGE, a C&D winner off this mark last autumn who is entitled to strip fitter for his Wetherby reappearance on ground which was livelier than ideal.

WHODINI looked better than ever after a break when going in at Huntingdon last month and can also boast a course victory so gets the vote in this competitive handicap. Hidden Commander also comes here at the top of his game so is next on the list in his hat-trick bid ahead of the progressive Famous Bridge.

Nicky Richards' FAMOUS BRIDGE (nap) ended last season in excellent form and is taken to complete his hat-trick on this reappearance.
Class & Speed Card

THYME HILL had a mixed campaign over fences last season but still managed to make his mark at Grade 1 level at Kempton on Boxing Day. The nine-year-old is a proven high-class performer over hurdles and he could be hard to beat on his return to action here. Dashel Drasher only found one too good in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March and is an obvious threat to the selection, while Ga Law is next best.

DASHEL DRASHER can make a successful return. He was nailed only late in the Stayers' Hurdle in March and his good record fresh suggests he'll be ready to roll. Thyme Hill, a former Stayers' Hurdle runner-up himself, boasts a similar profile and looks the danger first time back for an in-form stable.

Dual Grade 1 hurdle winner THYME HILL (nap) added a Grade 1 novice chase last December and has a generally solid reappearance record.
Class & Speed Card

Soldierofthestorm sets the standard following his decisive victory at Warwick in May, but he may struggle to give 6lb to TELLHERTHENAME. Ben Pauling's gelding won in impressive fashion on his sole start between the flags and he merits the utmost respect having been purchased for 200,000 pounds subsequently. Jango Baie has a similar profile to the selection and may prove to be next best, although Ten Lengths Tom should not be discounted.

A useful-looking novice hurdle and the betting could be interesting, with Nicky Henderson's JANGO BAIE chanced before market clues. Tellherthename, Pyrotechnic, Ten Lengths Tom and Mighty Moth are all interesting also first time up in this sphere. The penalised Soldierofthestorm needs to jump better than he did when winning at Warwick in May but could improve.

There's substance to the form of JANGO BAIE's second in an Irish point and his stable boasts a notable record in this race.
Class & Speed Card

Charlie Appleby was out of luck in this contest 12 months ago, but BEAUTIFUL LOVE might be the one to side with today. She opened her account over C&D in September, having chased home subsequent Fillies' Mile fourth Classical Song home at Sandown prior, and a similar level of form could see the Siyouni filly claim Pattern success. Ralph Beckett launches a three-pronged assault with You Got To Me, La Pasionaria and Glimpsed, who all won on their debuts and appear capable of throwing down a stern challenge. Gray's Inn wasn't disgraced in a Group 3 at the Curragh last time and is another to consider.

An open and potentially strong listed event, with several arriving with potential. REGAL JUBILEE was so impressive at Windsor last time that she's worth taking a chance on, but the likes of Glimpsed and La Pasionaria both strike as formidable opponents.

The suggestion is BEAUTIFUL LOVE, unraced on soft ground but progressing nicely and likely to be suited by a good test at this trip.
Class & Speed Card

GATWICK KITTEN has put in two solid efforts the last twice over 6f, including when beaten just under two lengths into fifth at Wolverhampton most recently, and he was kindly dropped 1lb by the handicapper for that display. He should have no issues with this distance and could be the one to beat. Fayasel has to be a player if he can reproduce the form that carried him to victory at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start, while Exigency also makes some appeal in a first-time visor.

EXIGENCY has a below-par effort to shrug off but had been running well in slightly better company on turf beforehand and, in a race which lacks an obvious standout contender, she's given the chance to end a 3-year losing streak. Gatwick Kitten went close at Kempton last time and is worth treating as if still in form, so can also make his presence felt up in trip, with Fayasel another to consider.

This looks tricky but GATWICK KITTEN gets the vote ahead of Media Guest.
Class & Speed Card

A chance can be taken on TRANSATLANTIC, who returns from a long absence and was last seen going in by over six lengths in a novice event at Huntingdon. The son of Le Havre now makes his first start for the Olly Murphy stable and he could be up to defying his mark of 115. Park Annonciade was beaten into third when failing to justify favouritism at Perth last time, but he should go well off the same rating. Of the remainder, Sleeping Satellite makes the most appeal on his handicap bow.

GINGER MAIL signed off last season with a poor effort but he's on a fair mark and made a successful reappearance around this time in 2022, so he's worth taking a chance on. Sleeping Satellite and Park Annonciade are less exposed and both rate as feasible dangers.
Class & Speed Card

BRAVEMANSGAME won this race before an impressive victory in the King George last season and there is every chance he will repeat that success here. Paul Nicholls' eight-year-old was second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup later in the campaign and he sets a very high standard. When at his best, Ahoy Senor is capable of giving the selection plenty to think about and should not be discounted. Midnight River and Gentlemansgame are talented performers but they have plenty to find according to official ratings.

An intriguing renewal despite the small field with BRAVEMANSGAME and Ahoy Senor locking horns for a sixth time over the larger obstacles. Preference is for the former, who gave his yard a fifth success in this contest 12 months ago and Paul Nicholls' 8-y-o is strongly fancied to repeat the feat. Gentlemansgame has race fitness on his side and could profit should either of the top pair fluff their lines.

Last season's King George winner BRAVEMANSGAME made a winning reappearance in this race 12 months ago and is again the one to beat.
Class & Speed Card

OUR CHAMP made quite the impression when bounding clear of his rivals at Cheltenham recently, and an 11lb rise for that success may not be enough to halt his rapid progression, with Freddie Gordon taking off a valuable 5lb. Teddy Blue unseated the rider early in that contest, but better can be expected here from the Betfair Hurdle third, while the unexposed Altobelli is another with plenty of potential dropping in class. County Hurdle winner Faivoir is entitled to build his recent return at Ffos Las and can have a say, along with stablemate Knickerbockerglory and Chance A Tune.

RARE MIDDLETON failed to go on as was perhaps hoped last season but he's had a wind operation since last seen and, given the yard he represents, fitness is no concern on reappearance. Our Champ will doubtless be popular on the back of last week's Cheltenham romp, with Altobelli completing the shortlist.

Our Champ has to be the starting point after Cheltenham but KNICKERBOCKERGLORY was second in the Imperial Cup on heavy ground.
Class & Speed Card

Warren Point hasn't been seen since finishing down the field in the Manhattan at Belmont over the summer months, but the dual Listed winner ought to go well down in class. Pride Of America took another step forward when filling the runner-up berth in the Doonside Cup last time and is another that needs to be taken seriously, but preference is for CHECKANDCHALLENGE. Fourth in the QEII on Champions' Day a fortnight ago, he holds every chance on these terms and looks the one to beat.

PRIDE OF AMERICA has developed into a very smart performer this year and this looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark in listed company. Greek Order has come a long way in quite a short space of time and can go on improving, with Warren Point also feared for all that he's unproven on slow ground.

The most solid option appears to be PRIDE OF AMERICA, who's having a fine season and that includes a win on soft ground.
Class & Speed Card

Claxton Bay took a step forward from his debut effort to finish fourth at Lingfield over a mile and he has to be considered, even taking into account this step back in distance. However, preference is for CLYDE BAY, who wasn't beaten all that far in heavy conditions at Bath and he could prove a different proposition on his first start on the all-weather, with the likelihood of more to come on only his third start. Any market support for Heathcliff on his debut should be noted.

CLAXTON BAY is related to a smart sort and sets a clear standard on the form of his LIngfield fourth, so is fancied to get off the mark, with Clyde Bay and Ben Y Bryn also players having each taken a step forward last time.

Ben Y Bryn and Claxton Bay should be involved but it might be worth chancing CLYDE BAY who is bred to be suited by the AW.
Class & Speed Card

It may have only been a three-runner contest that CHASING FIRE won on his debut over the larger obstacles at Uttoxeter, but he scored in commanding fashion and there should be more to come from the gelding. A Listed winner over hurdles last season, Marble Sands must be of interest, while course winner Traprain Law is another to consider for a stable in excellent form. Rexem and Parisencore are others to consider.

CHASING FIRE took well to chasing when landing a 3-runner novice at Uttoxeter a month ago and he's well worth a chance to go in again switched to handicaps. This has the makings of a strong contest, however, and Marble Sands and Traprain Law are both interesting chasing newcomers.
Class & Speed Card

Windtothelightning enjoyed a profitable campaign last term, culminating in a good third at Cheltenham in April. She is likely to offer another bold bid, but raised 3lb in the ratings, she could be vulnerable to a better-treated rival such as ALVANIY. A rare runner for Willie Mullins at Wetherby, and off this opening handicap mark of 126, he will be difficult to hold out. Albert's Back is also worthy of respect.

WINDTOTHELIGHTNING was progressive last season and ran with credit when last seen at Cheltenham. That form has a solid look to it and she's worth chancing to make a successful return for all that Decorated looks open to further improvement. Alvaniy is also worthy of consideration.

Preference is for DECORATED, who returned from a break to make a winning handicap debut on heavy ground in March and can improve again.
Class & Speed Card

A good race featuring a cast of progressive young staying chasers, headed by Monbeg Genius. Given that Jonjo O'Neill's gelding needed last year's reappearance, he may be worth passing over on this occasion in favour of the more experienced TWO FOR GOLD, a mud-lover who has been readied to win fresh before and whose Ascot (chasing) form figures read '221'. Mucho Mas is another improving sort who should make his presence felt if fully tuned up, while Irish raider Yeah Man could throw up some each-way value.

MONBEG GENIUS had his winning run ended when third in the Ultima at Cheltenham but he couldn't have shaped much better and he remains one to keep on side for the coming season. Beauport's first season over fences didn't go as well as might have been expected but he's likely to be ready here, while Two For Gold must be respected given his record here.

The three to concentrate on may well be MONBEG GENIUS (nap), Yeah Man and Mucho Mas, who are preferred in that order.
Class & Speed Card

A wide-open contest in which many are likely to have a say, but marginal preference is for MARSHAL DAN. Heather Main's charge was a commanding winner in first-time cheekpieces at Leicester last time and he looks weighted to go well once again, despite a 5lb in the handicap. Hodler (second) finished behind the selection that day but is entitled to get closer on revised terms. Handicap debutant King Of Fury retains plenty of potential and he must enter calculations, along with Hierarchy, Lunatick and Repertoire.

An ultra-competitive closer in which the vote goes to HODLER, who looked back to somewhere near his best when finding only Marshal Dan too strong at Leicester last month (raced on disadvantageous stand rail), and with conditions sure to pose no issues, Jim Boyle's 4-y-o gets the nod to double his tally for the year. Lunatick, Hiromichi, Hierarchy and the aforementioned Marshal Dan are just a handful of potential threats.
Class & Speed Card

Show Compassion took care of her nearest rival by half a length at Wolverhampton last time and she has to be respected off only 2lb higher. However, the vote goes to REVOLUCION, who showed appreciation for the application of a visor when beaten just a head into second at Kempton and he ought to go very close off the same rating. Of the remainder, Global Effort and Dicko The Legend make the most appeal.

A competitive handicap, with CONQUEST OF POWER getting the verdict having shown his form for the first time in a while here last week. He should be suited by the return to 6f, so gets the nod ahead of Revolucion, who bounced back to form at Kempton last time. Katar and Show Compassion are berthed in the widest 2 stalls but arrive at the top of their game and have to be respected also.

Kitbag and Conquest Of Power are respected but DICKO THE LEGEND can confirm the promise of his recent Wolverhampton third.

A difficult puzzle to solve with JUNKER D'ALLIER getting a tentative vote. He is out of Listed hurdle winner Star Flight and the four-year-old arrives here for the powerful Olly Murphy yard which does well in bumpers with the in-form Sean Bowen in the saddle. The well-bred Golden Point rates as the biggest danger for the in-form Lucinda Russell yard, while stablemate Helsgetaway should also be considered.

JUNKER D'ALLIER cost six figures as a store and represents a yard that often has its bumper representatives well prepared so, without the benefit of market clues, he's preferred to Golden Point and Helsgetaway, who also make some appeal on paper.
Class & Speed Card

Bali Body won comfortably off this mark at Sandown and should he return to the track in similar form, he would be tough to beat. That run was more than 700 days ago, though, whereas SNOWY EVENING ran arguably his best race to date when second on his fencing bow at Chepstow just last month and a 2lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to halt his progression. Not Sure heads the remainder.

SNOWY EVENING made a promising start to his chase career when second at Chepstow on his return 3 weeks ago and can go one place better with progress likely. Some Scope and Ernest Gray are a couple of interesting chasing debutants so are feared most.

Point winner SOME SCOPE is a very lightly raced 5yo who is open to improvement now chasing and earns the vote ahead of O'Connell.
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up in a Tinahely point-to-point where he had the reopposing Oak Grove (fourth) behind, ELECTRIC MASON was subsequently purchased for 110,000 pounds and he gets the vote for a stable that has a decent record with debutants. The well-bred Dino Magic must also enter calculations on his racecourse bow, along with Celtic Dino and the impressive Fontwell scorer All Authorized. Any market support for Chauffeur Driven or Guivinec would have to be noted.

OAK GROVE has joined a shrewd outfit for a hefty sum on the back of a comfortable success in points, so he's worth a chance to follow up on Rules debut for all that he finds himself in a potentially strong race. Dino Magic needs considering given connections and Electric Mason is another notable recruit from between the flags.

The vote goes to CELTIC DINO who lacks experience but has a classy pedigree and represents a yard with an impressive record in bumpers.

MOSTABSHIR has been highly tried since running away with a novice event at York in May, and has yet to add to that success. Recently gelded and eased into handicap company now, the Gosdens' three-year-old is fancied to defy his lofty mark. Excel Power has an excellent record on the all-weather and can't be ruled out from just 2lb above his last winning figure. The unexposed Enfjaar, in the same ownership as the selection, has something to prove following two below-par efforts but should not be underestimated.

ENFJAAR was unable to handle conditions after 3 months off at Haydock and is well worth another chance off what looks a decent mark. Excel Power took a step back in the right direction here last time and is next best ahead of Empirestateofmind.

Urban Sprawl should make another bold bid but it might be worth chancing POSITIVE IMPACT now he returns to Polytrack.
Class & Speed Card

In a race littered with untapped potential, only a tentative vote can go to DON SIMON. A son of Sea The Stars and out the stable's former superstar Snow Fairy, the half-brother to the smart John Leeper makes significant appeal ahead of his racecourse bow and is, perhaps crucially, drawn low. Campaign Medal also catches the eye on paper and it would be no surprise were he to play a leading role. Others of interest include Bur Dubai and Grey Charger.

CAMPAIGN MEDAL makes the most appeal for the Gosden team before market clues in this newcomers event. Don Simon and Grey Charger are other likely types.

Grey Charger, Campaign Medal and Don Simon are all of some interest but BIG ZOU is tentatively preferred.

MITIGATOR posted a creditable second over C&D last month and would appear to have been found a nice opportunity to go one better. Kodi Noir, who has been a model of consistency in recent starts, is unlikely to go down without a fight. Storm Asset faded into fourth late on over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton 12 days ago and might fare better now dropped in trip.

MITIGATOR left his seasonal/stable debut run behind when second at this C&D 16 days ago, despite having been short of room entering the straight, and he can build on that effort to return to winning ways. Kodi Noir is going through a good spell at present and is feared most, ahead of Storm Asset.

Cariad is dangerous at this level but MITIGATOR (nap) can confirm the promise of last month's C&D second.
Class & Speed Card

Narrowly denied on her last two starts when keeping well at the finish, DAME SARRA looks to have been crying out for a step up in trip and she gets that opportunity on this occasion. The Ed Dunlop-trained three-year-old gets the vote ahead of All About Alice and Shadowfax, who wasn't beaten far over further here last week. Others to note include Silver Atom, Two Plus Two and Velvet Vulcan.

On only her fourth start for her current yard, ALL ABOUT ALICE bounced back to her best when scoring at Lingfield in August and she ran well again when making the frame next time. She is taken to see off the challenge of Dame Sarra, who isn't taken lightly stepped up in trip, while Shadowfax also enters calculations.
Class & Speed Card

GREEN SIGMA must hold every chance if bouncing back to the form that saw her finish a promising third over C&D on her penultimate outing. A mark of 65 looks manageable on her handicap debut and she may have too much for Wednesday's Lingfield third and fourth Moreginplease and Irrelevant, with the latter fancied to improve upon his first run for new connections. Havana Touch and Palazzo Persico are expected to be thereabouts as well.

IRRELEVANT showed encouragement when fourth at Lingfield 3 days ago, travelling smoothly into contention, so he can make his second start for his current yard a winning one as he drops back down in trip. He can reverse the placings with Moreginplease from when the pair met earlier this week, with Palazzo Persico completing the shortlist.

Her wide draw is a concern but GREEN SIGMA would hold every chance if replicating the form of her third here two starts back.
Ths is the racecard key.
