11:45 Navan Conditions Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Gordon Elliott-trained KALA CONTI looks the pick of her stable's three representatives here. Winner of her only start over hurdles in her native France, the daughter of Karaktar appears to have been found a nice opportunity on her first run in this country. Stablemate Casheldale Lad caused a 33/1 upset when winning his only start to date when successful on his Flat debut for previous connections. Subsequently sold to go hurdling, as a half-brother to a black-type placed filly over jumps, he definitely has the pedigree. Roboreti catches the eye in the colours of legendary flat trainer Kevin Prendergast. Unraced to date, the very fact the son of Gleneagles has been sent out to Cullentra House to begin his career over hurdles suggests he must have been showing something at home.

Gordon Elliott will surely dominate here. Jack Kennedy is on French recruit KALA CONTI so she gets the vote ahead of Casheldale Lad, who has been acquired by Bective Stud since making a winning Flat debut at Punchestown in September.

Perhaps Sam Ewing's mount CASHELDALE LAD might prove good enough having won a Punchestown Flat maiden for Andrew Kinirons in September

LTO Selection:

12:15 Navan Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

It is hard to get away from the Willie Mullins-trained PAGGANE on her first start over hurdles. Formerly trained in France, the four-year-old won the last of her three runs on the flat when successful at Morlaix in June 2022. Despite being absent since then, that is never a worry with runners from her stable. Magic Dawn made a pleasing debut for previous connections at Fairyhouse in December before improving to win a decent contest at Punchestown subsequently. Although disappointing on her only run for Gordon Elliott, the daughter of Doyen had her excuses. Bioluminescence was a beaten favourite on her only start under Rules to date, but the former point-to-point winner showed enough to suggest she can regain the winning thread shortly.

A very open-looking mares' maiden and before the benefit of market clues, BIOLUMINESCENCE gets the tentative nod having displayed plenty in a bumper when last seen during the spring. Paggane has to command respect on hurdles debut for Willie Mullins, with Magic Dawn perhaps the pick of the Gordon Elliott quartet.

The one to beat looks to be BIOLUMINESCENCE who ran into a good one when favourite for a Limerick bumper in March and can make amends

LTO Selection:

12:25 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

OSCAR DOODLE has been a model of consistency over the past few months and the four-year-old, who went close once again over C&D last time, gets the vote to go one better. Jewel Maker scored here earlier in the month and has to be respected off just 2lb higher. Dancing Gypsy, Lochnaver and Freddy Robinson are others capable of a decent showing.

Having travelled as if well up to defying this sort of mark when runner-up on Wednesday, LOCHNAVER gets the nod to go one better at the expense of Dancing Gypsy, who shaped encouragingly on his first outing for a new yard returning from 4 months off at Wolverhampton earlier this week and could well build on that effort. Oscar Doodle and recent C&D winner Jewel Maker can fight out minor honours.

The admirably consistent OSCAR DOODLE has gone close over C&D the last twice and can go one better. Freddy Robinson is a danger.

LTO Selection:

12:30 Fontwell Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Hurdles debutant KOTARI has some useful form on the Flat and he cannot be taken lightly entering this sphere. The gelded son of Nathaniel gets the vote in what appears to be a more than winnable contest on paper. Step It Out Goldie, who is also tackling the smaller obstacles for the first time, is respected following her third in a Cork bumper, while Berlais Du George is entitled to build on his fourth at Plumpton.

KOTARI's stable debut on the level last month was pretty encouraging, and switched to hurdling in an ordinary race, he has plenty to recommend him. Classic Lord is an obvious threat having been pulled out of his engagement at Uttoxeter on Saturday, with Step It Out Goldie one to monitor in the market starting out for Chris Gordon.

Classic Lord has the best form but this may go to INTIMATE, who might be better for some wind surgery.

12:45 Navan Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

IN FOR THE NIGHT, runner-up at this venue on his penultimate start, may be able to shed his maiden status. While the Desmond McDonogh-trained five-year-old failed to back that effort up when only seventh at Downpatrick last time, it usually pays to forgive a horse a below-par run at that unique track. With the Henry De Bromhead stable firing on all cylinders at present, recent Clonmel second Freddie Robdal has to be considered. Although that latter placed effort came over fences, the gelding is lightly raced over flights and can compete off a 4lb lower mark. Falvio showed ability for trainer Tony Martin last season without managing to get his head in front. A dual winner on the flat, he was never going to stay 3m, so his recent debut for new connections is readily forgiven.

An ultra-competitive handicap in which preference is for FREDDIE ROBDAL, who bounced back to form when runner-up at Clonmel recently and back over the hurdles for the first time in 15 months, Henry de Bromhead's 6-y-o can come out on top. Maimie's Magic got back on track when runner-up at Perth 6 months ago and she may have to settle for silver again on return, with Upthereforthinking, Brownstone and Mutadaawel just a handful of others that may get involved.

It might pay to side with MO CHRUINNE(nap). There was a bit to like about his stable debut here last time

John and Thady Gosden are no strangers to running their better prospects here as juveniles and LAUTREC makes plenty of appeal on paper. A 600,000gns purchase at Tattersalls Book 1, the half-brother to Classic heroes St Mark's Basilica and Magna Grecia gets the vote to make a winning start to his career. Temple City is expected to have benefited from his debut experience at Newmarket, while Bur Dubai completes the shortlist based on his third at Chelmsford.

TEMPLE CITY is a well-bred colt and he showed plenty to be positive about when third at Newmarket on debut, so is fancied to get off the mark at the second attempt, though the Gosden newcomer Lautrec, who could barely possess a stronger pedigree, could prove a real fly in the ointment. Bur Dubai also looked a nice prospect when a close third at Chelmsford on debut and adds further substance to a decent field.

John and Thady Gosden's Kingman newcomer LAUTREC has much to recommend him on pedigree and is taken to go in at the first time of asking

The returning Aviles warrants consideration on his handicap/chase bow as his runner-up effort at Plumpton in April is solid. However, Gary Moore's inmate lacks experience in this sphere and HARDY FELLA makes most appeal. The six-year-old displayed enough promise on his fourth-placed finish at Ludlow last month to suggest that he can land a race of this nature. Chess Player is another to note if putting his latest disappointment when down the field at Huntingdon behind him.

A case can be made for most of these but SALVATORE remains with few miles on the clock and is taken to make a winning start in handicaps on the back of wind surgery. Gary Moore's ex-French recruit Aviles could emerge as the chief threat on his chasing bow ahead of the handily-weighted Chess Player.

It could pay to take a chance that cheekpieces can trigger a return to form from KAP AUTEUIL as he's become very well handicapped.

TELLHERTHENAME's victory in an Irish point-to-point back in the spring was impressive enough to prompt Ben Pauling to go to 200,000 pounds for him shortly afterwards and he so nearly made a successful start to his hurdling career when pushing the well-touted Jango Baie to the narrowest of margins at Ascot. The Kemble Brewery hasn't put a foot wrong so far, returning with a decisive bumper triumph here, and is another nice jumping prospect. Innatendue is battle-hardened from some good handicaps in Ireland but was pulled out of a race here on Friday due to the going and if it still isn't suitable, her compatriot Morning Soldier could be best of the rest.

Having changed hands for £200,000 following his point win, TELLHERTHENAME ran a race full of promise when runner-up at Ascot a fortnight ago. Sure to build on that, he looks the way to go, though The Kemble Brewery is a useful bumper performer representing a yard in excellent form. Cannock Park is another notable newcomer over obstacles.

Tellherthename should have a bright future but preference is for the hurdling newcomer THE KEMBLE BREWERY, who was 2-2 in bumpers.

Second season novice SEARCH FOR GLORY can show that his education last term wasn't wasted on him. Gordon Elliott's six-year-old won his first two starts in a point-to-point and bumper respectively, before switching to hurdles after Christmas. After a fair third in a well contested maiden at Leopardstown, he subsequently attained a similar placing in a Grade 3 at Clonmel. Runs at both the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals were arguably a year too soon, but he benefited from those experiences to make a winning reappearance at Galway. Stablemate Croke Park, a point-to-point winner who got off the mark over flights at Clonmel recently, rates the biggest threat. Pinyon Jay can complete the clean sweep for the Elliott team by chasing them home in third.

CROKE PARK looked an exciting prospect when making most at Clonmel on his hurdling debut, quickening clear before 2 out, and he can follow up with the promise of significantly more to come. Search For Glory was highly tried as a novice and could be the main danger after making a winning return, while Mel Monroe could also still have more to offer.

Jack Kennedy's choice CROKE PARK should be good enough, although the same owner's Search For Glory could serve it up to him

LIKEASHADOW has been a revelation since being ridden with a lot more restraint, winning his last two starts here, and Alan Brown's gelding could have more to offer, despite a 5lb rise for the latest success. Fly Pass ran on well to finish third at Lingfield and is open to improvement over this distance, while a more positive ride may benefit Made In China.

LIKEASHDOW arrives here on a roll, winning a brace a of course handicaps, latterly when pulling clear with an unexposed one a fortnight ago. A 5 lb rise is unlikely to prevent a very bold hat-trick bid, with Alfred and Fly Pass feared most.

The manner of LIKEASHADOW (nap)'s C&D success suggests that he can defy a 5lb rise and complete a hat-trick.

It's fair to say things haven't gone to plan for UP FOR PAROL since his excellent third in the Lanzarote back in January, but connections look to have found a good opportunity to get him back on track and he can see off previous C&D winner Yorksea, who ran his best race on the level when runner-up at Goodwood last month.

Jamie Snowden's UP FOR PAROL was returning from a break when third in last season's Lanzarote Hurdle and he's now 2lb lower.

13:45 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

CREBILLY was a useful novice hurdler and his first campaign over the smaller obstacles was capped by an emphatic victory on the final day of the season at Sandown. He returns off a 7lb higher mark, but is bred to make into a chaser and he could even progress beyond handicaps. Ginny's Destiny also displayed plenty of talent over timber, enough to earn him a second chance with many following an ordinary fencing bow here. Railway Hurricane was a fair way in front of him in second that day, though, so is a bigger danger. Fellow Irish raider Elle Perfecta is feared also.

A chasing debutant won this contest 12 months ago and history may well repeat itself in the shape of CREBILLY, who enjoyed a positive season over hurdles last term and could have even more to offer now tackling fences. Wonderwall showed plenty when third on his chasing debut last year and, arriving on the back of wind surgery, he's put forward as the main danger, with Irish-raiders Elle Perfecta and Railway Hurricane another couple worth a mention.

There has been plenty to like about the first two chasing performances of ELLE PERFECTA and this unexposed Irish mare is the pick.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SLANE HILL makes his seasonal reappearance reverting to hurdles but likes soft ground and is rated 7lb lower in this sphere than over fences. He was progressive last winter until a February disappointment, but returned to win a Kilbeggan beginners' chase when upped in trip and remains a fraction unexposed at staying distances over hurdles. Gortmillish is race-fit, stays well and is in-form but might ideally prefer a sound surface while lightly-weighted stablemate Arctic Ambition is also suited by good ground and disappointed at Cheltenham last month. Another stablemate Jumping Jet ran well under a 7lb claimer at Punchestown in June but isn't first-string. Miss Tempo, who chased home high-class Love Envoi in a 2021 bumper, pulled up at the Galway festival but returns from a break.

Gordon Elliott holds a strong hand here and his handily-weighted ARCTIC AMBITION is fancied to resume winning ways now reverted to hurdles having failed to last home over 25f at Cheltenham last time. In-form stablemate Jumping Jet is feared most with Gortmillish taken to complete a clean sweep for the yard.

If SLANE HILL is fully tuned up for his return, he could be hard to beat having run a big race on chase debut when last seen

Neapolitan may have been turned over at odds-on at Chelmsford, but he went down fighting and might be happier back at 6f. However, the vote is for LOU LOU'S GIFT. The half-sister to the classy Mighty Ulysses confirmed the promise of her Yarmouth debut third when going one better here and she can continue her forward momentum. Front Gunner caught the eye on his introduction and he is another to consider.

LOU LOU'S GIFT progressed from her debut when runner-up at this C&D 17 days ago, despite still looking in need of the experience, so she can do better still with a hood/tongue strap now applied. William Haggas' filly is taken to see off the challenge of Neapolitan, who also improved in defeat last time, with Callianassa completing the shortlist.

Given the promise she's shown and in the hope that headgear helps her to settle, LOU LOU'S GIFT is the suggestion.

14:04 Fontwell Handicap Chase (Class 3) 28f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Max Dynamo bolted up on his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow in February and the veteran shouldn't be underestimated on his return from a 214-day break. Nevertheless, the gelded son of Midnight Legend remains 13lb higher than that victory and last-time-out Sedgefield winner TOMMIE BEAU rates a more solid proposition. Seamus Mullins' charge won't be lacking for stamina and boasts obvious claims in his current heart. Movethechains lurks on an attractive mark and warrants a second look too.

MAX DYNAMO proved better than ever after 10 months off with a wide-margin success at Chepstow earlier this year and he can make another winning return this time around. Tommie Beau arrives in good form having won the Durham National last month and isn't taken lightly, with Wake Up Early the pick of the remainder.

The safest option is perhaps TOMMIE BEAU who was winning his second regional National when scoring at Sedgefield four weeks ago.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Guetapan Collonges' only defeats last term came when fourth as favourite in both the Classic Chase and Midlands National, and he took his game to greater heights when winning on his Carlisle comeback. City Chief won a sub-standard Towton before finishing third under a big weight at the Scottish National meeting. CLOUDY GLEN failed to complete in the Ultima at Cheltenham and it was a similar story when unseating in the Grand National, but he goes well when fresh and might be worth chancing with the Venetia Williams yard in flying form. Others to note include Truckers Lodge and Wayfinder.

CITY CHIEF made a bright start to chasing last season, winning Wetherby's Grade 2 Towton Chase, and he is fancied to capilalise on a handy-looking mark and resume winning ways with this longer trip a likely plus too for Nicky Henderson's son of Soldier of Fortune. Malina Girl also looks to have better days ahead of her and Gavin Cromwell's raider is feared most, although Guetapan Collonges and Dom of Mary both merit consideration too in a cracking handicap.

Heavy and even soft ground could find a few of these out but would look a plus point for ROSE OF ARCADIA. Next is Cloudy Glen.

LTO Selection:

14:30 Navan Handicap Chase 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Gordon Elliott looks set to run a record 15 horses in one race here and perhaps his GEVREY can win. Initially largely untested over staying distances, he improved to finish second in April's Irish National and while 8lb higher than when winning the recent Munster National, might continue to progress. He beat Largy Debut and stablemate Coko Beach into second and third respectively at Limerick. Ain't That A Shame finished second to last year's winner The Big Dog in the 2022 Munster National, is closely matched with Macs Charm on Gowran-form last March and might improve from his Kerry National reappearance run. Run Wild Fred finished fifth to the selection in the recent Munster National and having won the 2021 renewal of this race as a novice, is clearly suited by conditions. Thedevilscoachman was pulled up in April's Irish National but is a smart type on his day and stays this distance. Limerick Lace has more on her plate than when winning at Clonmel but is ridden by a 5lb claimer.

Gordon Elliott saddles over half the field here and his well-weighted HOLLOW GAMES is fancied to lead his mighty contingent home on the back of his promising Galway third. Stablemate Run Wild Fred can boast a C&D win and is next on the list ahead of other Elliott inmates in the shape of Gevrey, Coko Beach and Tullybeg.

The ground will really play into the strengths of AIN'T THAT A SHAME who has had excuses on his last 2 runs but this test should suit

LTO Selection:

14:38 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Bella Kopella dug deep to prevail over 7f here and the drop in trip shouldn't be a problem, while Rainbow Rain's hat-trick bid may have ended in failure over C&D but he must not be written off yet. The same can be said for EL HIBRI, who has let favourite backers down the last twice but fluffed the start and got blocked for a run at Chelmsford, so is worth one more chance.

C&D scorer LADY CELIA didn't enjoy the rub of the green when sixth here last time so is fancied to quickly regain winning ways off an unchanged mark. Rainbow Rain is weighted to have a big say and next on the list, with Athollblair Boy and El Hibri also in the mix in an open handicap.

A standing dish here, ATHOLLBLAIR BOY has returned to his last winning mark and may be able to record a tenth course success.

LTO Selection:

14:43 Fontwell Conditions Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Steven Seagull is the only one with previous jumping experience but his fourth in a 2m3f handicap here off a mark of 98 hardly sets an insurmountable standard. RUNNING THE GAME showed some ability behind quite nice types in France and changed hands for 45,000 euros back in the summer. Gary Moore's juveniles are usually well educated and he is fancied to make a winning NH debut. Bubblecraft landed a claimer across the Channel and has since been sold for 21,000gns, but Queen Of Steel was no better than ordinary on the level.

Gary Moore has won this with some smart sorts in recent years so the suggestion is RUNNING THE GAME, with the chief threat perhaps likely to come from fellow French Flat recruit Sixfiveseven.

Gary Moore has a good record in this race and RUNNING THE GAME, who showed ability on the Flat in France, earns the vote.

LTO Selection:

14:55 Cheltenham Conditions Chase (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

An intriguing renewal sees JONBON make his second appearance in open company following his Celebration Chase victory at Sandown on the final day of last season. His sole defeats have come at the Festival, when bumping into two superstars in the shape of Constitution Hill and El Fabiolo, but there is no reason to suggest the track is an issue and he has reportedly been pleasing connections in recent weeks. Edwardstone ran no sort of race when a disappointing fifth in the Champion Chase but the nine-year-old, an impressive winner of the Tingle Creek on his reappearance last term, remains a force to be reckoned with. Nube Negra, who bids for a third win in a row in this contest, is a big danger to all when fresh, while Editeur Du Gite is expected to improve from his return in the Haldon Gold Cup.

JONBON has only ever been beaten by his outstanding stablemate Constitution Hill and last season's top-notch novice chaser El Fabiolo and can take his career record to an impressive 11-13. Edwardstone ran no sort of race in the Champion Chase when last seen but he's the obvious threat if back to anything like the form he showed when winning the Tingle Creek on last season's reappearance.

Only Constitution Hill and El Fabiolo have got the better of JONBON and this four-time Grade 1 winner earns the vote.

LTO Selection:

15:05 Navan Maiden Chase 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

High-class FACT TO FILE follows the same path taken by his trainer's Florida Pearl and Missed That in going straight from bumpers to fences. The only horse to beat him last season was A Dream To Share and while this route is somewhat unorthodox, he is a mature six-year-old point-to-point winner. American Mike himself finished second in a Cheltenham Festival Bumper, in 2022, and while his novice hurdle-season was underwhelming, has the size to make a better chaser, although might struggle to beat the selection. Stablemate Landrake was rated 135 over hurdles and debuts over fences on reappearance. Spirit Of Legend and stablemate Lets Go Champ were similarly rated over hurdles but need to improve to win this while My Immortal didn't run last season, despite being a non-runner last December and February.

This has the makings of a really strong beginners chase and, while AMERICAN MIKE gets the nod given his scope to improve in this discipline, he faces stern opposition in the form of Fact To File. Lets Go Champ has also achieved plenty over hurdles and appeals as the type to make a better chaser, so he's another one to consider.

Champion Bumper runner-up FACT TO FILE has a decent French jumps pedigree and it's probably telling he goes straight over fences

15:14 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TOP GUN TINA posted arguably her best effort to date when runner-up over a mile here latest and the return to 7f looks ideal. David Thompson's inmate is fancied to get the better of last-time-out C&D winner Keep Me Stable, who is aiming to defy a 5lb penalty on this quick turnaround. Fellow in-form rivals Possible Ambition and Key Look are others to consider.

TOP GUN TINA was having only her second handicap start when an improved second over 1m here last time and is taken to build on that promise and can strike under Billy Loughnane. Recent C&D scorer Key Look retains handicapping scope after a 4 lb rise and is second choice ahead of Possible Ambition, who is more consistent than most at this level.

Preference is for KEY LOOK who got back to winning ways over C&D when back with Geoff Harker and remains handily weighted.

15:19 Fontwell Handicap Chase (Class 5) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CAPTAIN CLAUDE excels when the mud is flying, as he showed when running away with a novices' handicap hurdle here back in March, and he made a pleasing enough reappearance at Ffos Las last week. That should have blown away any cobwebs ahead of this chasing debut and he can make it a winning one. Walk In The Wild only got as far as the second on his Warwick return, but he is back down to a handy mark. Hilltown was never a factor over the extended 2m3f at Plumpton, but this trip suits better.

WALK IN THE WILD didn't get too far on his return but won twice early last season from similar marks and just about gets the nod over chasing-newcomer Captain Claude, who ran well on his return at Ffos Las last weekend. It's hard to be confident about any of the remaining trio, though Maasai Warrior is perhaps most appealing of them after a lengthy absence on the basis of his form in 2021.

The 6yo CAPTAIN CLAUDE won on heavy ground over hurdles here in March and is taken to make a winning chase debut.

LTO Selection:

15:30 Cheltenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Onlyamatteroftime has been well supported over the past couple of days for connections who enjoy landing a gamble. That said, the seven-year-old ran out on his handicap debut at Cork when coming to challenge at the final flight and this would require a fair amount of improvement, even with a stable switch to Willie Mullins a big positive. Nemean Lion came out on top in the Welsh Champion Hurdle at the expense of Anyharminasking and the pair, along with the fifth Gin Coco, are expected to be in the mix. The vote, though, goes to IBERICO LORD, who took a big step forward when runner-up to stable companion Under Control at Sandown at the end of last season. It also seems significant that Nico de Boinville opts to ride him over Luccia, especially with the mare boasting a recent run under her belt when runner-up in a Listed contest at Wetherby.

A really good renewal. NEMEAN LION marked himself down as a leading contender for this when seeing off Anyharminasking (pair clear) in the Welsh Champion and can make light of a 5 lb rise with further progress on the cards. Dan Skelton is always to be feared in these races and his L'Eau du Sud and Knickerbockerglory head the many dangers along with Sonigino, who shaped well in the Silver Trophy on his return. Onlyamatteroftime is another fascinating runner having joined Willie Mullins.

Onlyamatteroftime is eyecatching but preference is for IBERICO LORD (nap) ahead of Nemean Lion and Knickerbockerglory.

15:40 Navan NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

QUALIMITA was bought for a cool 500,000 euros following her impressive Fairyhouse point-to-point win for Colin Bowe last April and debuts for leading connections. That form is nothing special despite the runner-up being bumper-placed subsequently, but she sauntered to a 30-length victory and it is notable she contests a Listed bumper first time out. Only By Night also won effortlessly and impressively on heavy ground at Limerick last month, when conceding weight to the lesser placed-horses. She seems progressive and while open to further improvement, her Warwick defeat last February is nonetheless a small concern and also concedes 4lb to the selection. Roedara is a dual winner and while capable, faces a tougher task on differing ground than when winning at Down Royal and has top weight. Tarnova was a surprise debut winner last month and steps up in grade while Disco Dancer, a 115,000-euro store, runs in a first-time tongue-tie. Mongibello ran well behind two subsequent racecourse winners on Oldtown point-to-point debut last February.

QUALIMITA cost half a million euros on the back of a ready point success and, given her handler has felt it necessary to go for listed success immediately, she's clearly held in high regard. Only By Night and Tarnova are both above-average types who give the selection something to aim at.

This can go the way of ONLY BY NIGHT who bolted up in similar ground on yard debut last month and she can come on for that run

Last month's Ayr winner BANNER ROAD has proved a progressive sort on the Flat under the tutelage of Jim Goldie this season and a change of scenery may bring about enough improvement to defy an 8lb rise in the ratings. Whatwouldyouknow posted one of his better efforts when runner-up over C&D recently and should give another bold account. Clotherholme completes the shortlist.

BANNER ROAD signed off for Jim Goldie with a comfortable success at Ayr and she's fancied to make a winning start for her new yard at the possible expense of Concert Boy, who is visored for the first time. Whatwouldyouknow should also be on the premises.

(1) Sam's Amour 10/11, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 28/1, good third of 18 in handicap hurdle at Exeter (18.5f, soft) 26 days ago. Type to do better still and makes plenty of appeal in a weak race.
Kept on to finish third on her handicap debut at Exeter (2m2f, good) a month ago.

(7) Ceci Wells 25/1, Little solid form on the level and hasn't fared much better over hurdles. Tongue tied for the first time.
Minor promise in maiden company but has shown little in three handicaps.

My Lady Grey

11/1(-230%)
(2) My Lady Grey 11/1, Modest hurdler/chaser who was below form over the larger obstacles at this course when last seen 13 months ago. Given a chance by the handicapper, so not discounted.
3-5 in handicap chases last season; dual hurdle winner on a good mark; able when fresh.

(3) Brown Bullet 13/2, Just modest form over hurdles and, while she took a step back in the right direction at Plumpton 6 months ago, it's hard to know if he'll be tuned up for this return.
This is her best opportunity for a while and she has a fair record when fresh.

(4) Gardons La 25/1, Just a modicum of promise in 2 starts in France and has showed little for current connections. Tried in a hood.
Lightly raced but was 25-1 and pulled up on her recent handicap debut at Chepstow.
LTO Selection:

15:50 Fontwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

My Lady Grey is interesting on her return from a long layoff and she is well treated if ready to roll. SAM'S AMOUR has fitness on her side, though, after a promising third on her handicap debut at Exeter. She had a subsequent scorer in behind, while the winner has gone close again since, so the form is solid. Excuses emerged for Miss Fedora's lacklustre Stratford performance and she has been given time to get over it. Brown Bullet has claims now back from a break too.

SAM'S AMOUR took a step forward when third at Exeter last time and this is a much weaker event, so she makes obvious appeal in a weak event. My Lady Grey is a danger despite having a long absence to overcome and Miss Fedora can't be ruled out back from a break.

My Lady Grey is a likely contender but SAM'S AMOUR (nap) looks ready for today's stiffer stamina test.

LTO Selection:

16:00 Cheltenham NH Flat Race (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

FIRE FLYER looked a nice prospect when taking an Ascot bumper last year and the five-year-old had excuses when down the field in a Listed affair at Newbury in February. Softer conditions are likely to see him in a better light and he gets the vote to make a winning return to action. Brechin Castle couldn't have done it any easier on his Rules debut at Sedgefield last month and he is respected along with the unbeaten Moon Chime and Minella Rescue.

BRECHIN CASTLE has been hugely impressive in winning both his point and bumper outings to date, so he's fancied to maintain his unbeaten record up in grade. The progressive Moon Chime is a big threat and Minella Rescue can't be ruled out.

There are plenty to consider but it looked a warm bumper by Sedgefield standards in which BRECHIN CASTLE skipped clear up the straight.
