LTO Selection:

12:20 Wexford Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CHAMPAGNE MAHLER looks the one to beat in a race for horses who have not finished in the first three under Rules. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding was reappearing after a summer break when fifth behind Answer To Kayf over this trip at Limerick and the third gave the form some substance when running well at Gowran last Saturday. It's best to put a line through his previous run when pulled up early after being badly hampered. Ivar The Boneless was a close up fourth in a chase on his penultimate start in France and was absent for nearly two years before reappearing for current connections at Tramore, while Three In A Row shaped reasonably well in the context of this race when sixth to Waterford Whispers, also owned by JP McManus, in a Galway maiden last month. Aghmorough Bridge has won three times in points while Half Off Six Pence was far from disgraced at Tramore last time.

IVAR THE BONELESS failed to meet expectations back from nearly 2 years off on his Irish debut at Tramore last month, but is well worth another chance with that outing under his belt in a decidedly ordinary affair. Half Off Six Pence took a step forward on her most recent outing and is a player back down in trip, while there's a strong chance Three In Row has more to offer still.

The trip could be on the short side but it may be worth taking a chance with AGHMOROUGH BRIDGE, an experienced three-time points winner

LTO Selection:

12:30 Doncaster Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Karaktere D'enfer finished a narrow second at Fontainebleau on his debut in March, when trained in France, and, though a similar effort ought to give him every chance, the vote instead goes to THINK FIRST. Neil Mulholland's new recruit was a more than useful performer on the Flat and he should be a tough nut to crack if taking to his new discipline. Mojo Ego has the most hurdling experience and connections will be hopeful that he can put it to good use.

Lady Gibbings and Tom Symonds have picked up some useful sorts from France in recent years and Fontainebleau runner-up KARAKTERE D'ENFER could be another. Talented Flat recruit Think First could give him plenty to think about if taking to hurdling, though.

Any of the three could win. THINK FIRST was quite useful on the Flat and stamina won't be an issue for hurdling.

LTO Selection:

12:50 Wexford Maiden Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

INTENSE APPROACH won on his only point-to-point start this spring and has done well since in bumpers scoring twice. The John McConnell-trained gelding looks a nice recruit to hurdles having readily won at Bellewstown and followed up at the Listowel Festival. Henry de Bromhead is represented by Cobra Queen, who won on her second start between the flags and she commands a fair amount of respect. Iceberg Theory made a pleasing start over hurdles when third to Black Bamboo over this trip at Cork last month, while Tramps Like Us, Sportinthepark and Balally Park are others to consider.

MOSSEY FEN PARK was an impressive winner of a point and has picked up for a good fee by top connections, so he's fancied to make a winning Rules debut at the likely expense of Intense Approach, who was well above average in bumpers. Iceberg Theory also makes plenty of appeal in what could prove to be a strong race.

Preference is for dual bumper winner INTENSE APPROACH who showed a good attitude to beat a Willie Mullins-trained favourite at Listowel

(11) Scottsdale 80/1, Last success came in 2019 and has rarely threatened in this sphere. Found to have bled at Sedgefield (19.3f, good to soft) just over 5 weeks ago and can only be watched from out of the weights again.
Won over hurdles in 2019 but it's a long time since he showed any worthwhile form.
LTO Selection:

13:00 Doncaster Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FEARLESS ACTION was said to have benefitted from the application of first-time cheekpieces (retained) when winning at Kelso last month. A subsequent 5lb rise does not look overly harsh given the manner of that success and, should he handle quicker conditions, the son of Yeats could double up. Key Factor made a satisfactory chasing debut at Exeter last time out and he looks likely to take a step forward on his second outing following wind surgery, while Guillaume is also noted.

GONE IN SIXTY was going the right way over fences prior to disappointing at Hereford recently so Alex Hales' 6-y-o gets the tentative nod to open his account at the expense of Guillaume, who offered something to work on sent chasing when third at Sedgefield back in April and should have more to offer in this sphere. Fanfan du Seuil and Fox's Socks round off the shortlist.

It might pay to chance the fitness of GUILLAUME, who made a promising chase/handicap debut in April

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A typically competitive contest and slight preference is for PINNACLE PEAK, who won in good style over 2m4f at this venue last time and is taken to follow up that success. Martin Keighley's charge has been raised 6lb in the ratings for that near five-length win, which could prove lenient now Harry Atkins claims 10lb in the plate. Doughmore Bay rates as the biggest danger to the selection on a workable mark for his handicap bow, while Uncle Bert is noted too.

Plenty are in with a shout. Gavin Cromwell's unexposed handicapper FATHOM TWO arrives on the up so he is taken to quickly resume winning ways at the chief expense of another improving sort in White Rhino. Pinnacle Peak also brings solid credentials to the table for the home contingent while Henry de Bromhead's twice raced Gentle And Kind commands plenty of respect. Skytastic completes the shortlist.

A number of appealing Irish runners are headed by FATHOM TWO who wasn't seen to best effect in a sprint finish at Downpatrick last time.

13:20 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Brunello Breeze got off the mark over C&D at the beginning of the month having appeared to improve for a step up in trip. Despite being impressive on that occasion, the four-year-old has an 8lb rise to contend with and a chance is taken on LETABA. Ed Dunlop's gelding went close at Chelmsford on his latest start and the manner of that performance suggested he was worth another chance over this distance. Restorer, Isle of Wolves and Bustaam complete the shortlist.

A competitive handicap with several holding sound claims, though BRUNELLO BREEZE appeals most after justifying support with a taking victory over C&D earlier in the month. Bustaam remains low mileage and arrives on the back of a good effort over C&D last week, with the veteran Restorer and consistent duo Isle of Wolves and Bobby Shaftoe others to consider in a open-looking event.

The addition of blinkers has clearly agreed with BRUNELLO BREEZE (nap) and his breakthrough win came in dominant style over C&D.

WHATCOULDHAVEBEEN won a 20-runner Fairyhouse maiden back in January and subsequently kept very good company including when second to Ashroe Diamond in a Grade 1 at the same venue. Jarlath Fahey's charge should be nearing peak fitness following a couple of recent outings on the Flat. Belle The Lioness is Listed placed over hurdles and also won a maiden last winter, while Mollys Mango is another for the shortlist after comfortably landing the odds at Thurles earlier this month. Good As Hell has gained all bar one of her five wins over fences, while Tramore maiden winner Double Pink made a bold bid to make all on her reappearance at Tipperary last month.

MOLLYS MANGO won in the style of a useful novice at Thurles and can follow up with the step up to 2½m promising to suit. The reappearing Belle The Lioness should find this a bit easier than the mares' novice at the Cheltenham Festival and is second choice ahead of Whatcouldhavebeen.

Given that her fitness is not in doubt after two Flat runs WHATCOULDHAVEBEEN (nap) should be able to exploit this opportunity

13:35 Doncaster Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Dual bumper winner INOUI MACHIN makes his hurdles debut and, being a half-brother to five winners over jumps, it would come as no surprise were he to make an immediate impact. Ivegotdapower arrives following back-to-back victories in the pointing sphere and might prove to be the selection's biggest danger. Samazul and Little Peter have each shown a fair level of ability in bumpers and both could feature, while Mountain Pass should not be underestimated either.

INOUI MACHIN laid a solid foundation in bumpers by winning 2 of his 3 starts and is bred to make a useful jumper, so he makes plenty of appeal. Fellow bumper scorers Samazul and Little Peter head the opposition.

Dual bumper winner INOUI MACHIN looks a good hurdling prospect and gets the nod.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

TRIPLE TRADE showed a likeable attitude when willingly running on into second over C&D last time and this 1lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to stop him going one place better this time. The seven-year-old arrives here for the in-form Joe Tizzard stable and, with winning form on heavy ground in the past, he ticks plenty of boxes. Calico is feared most after a good campaign last term which culminated in a stab at the Grade 1 Maghull Novices' Chase, while No Risk Des Flos heads the remainder.

Given the way CALICO was shaping prior to falling in the Maghull Novices' at Aintree 7 months ago, he's not been overly punished by the handicapper and he's worth a chance to capitalise on return. Ballybreeze remains with plenty of improvement in him as a chaser, so he's regarded as a big danger, while Do Your Job can compete if he strips fitter for his return.

Most of these have chances but the dark horse is BALLYBREEZE on only his fourth chase start. He could be very well handicapped.

LTO Selection:

13:55 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GOVERNOR OF INDIA improved from his first three starts to score on his handicap bow over C&D at the end of last month. Gelded prior to that display, that is also likely to have benefited him and a 6lb rise may not be enough to stop the son of Dubawi from going in again. Evening Story carries a 6lb penalty following last week's victory here, while others to note include Ayr Poet and Sagauteur.

It was a case of smoothly does it for EVENING STORY here last week and, with this drop back in trip unlikely to pose a problem, she is taken to complete the hat-trick. The clear main danger is fellow 3-y-o Governor of India, who made a winning all-weather/handicap debut over C&D recently and almost certainly has more to offer. Sagauteur was hot on the heels of Governor of India that day, but the each-way angle could be Highwaygrey, who encountered traffic problems when fifth in that same race.

The Gosdens' unexposed 3yo GOVERNOR OF INDIA won on his handicap debut over C&D last month and is open to more progress.

LTO Selection:

14:00 Wexford Conditions Chase 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BRONN and Churchstonewarrior were closely matched over hurdles when fighting out the finish of a 2m4f Grade 2 novice at Fairyhouse and both progressed well over fences last season. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding gave odds-on backers a fright before making most to score over 2m5f again at Fairyhouse and was subsequently third in Grade 1 events at the Cheltenham and Aintree Festival meetings. He receives a valuable 5lb from Churchstonewarrior, who has not been seen since gaining a deserved win in a Navan Grade 2 over three miles in February. The lightly-raced Idas Boy is another talented chaser but may need this after a year's absence, while Minella Crooner also stays well and can boast a victory over I Am Maximus at Fairyhouse last term.

If he resumes at the top of his game, BRONN will be hard to beat. He quickly made up into a very smart novice last season, finishing third in Grade 1s at the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals during the spring, and this 6-y-o well have more to offer in this sphere. It's best to overlook Idas Boy's run at Punchestown when last seen 12 months ago and he will be a threat if fully tuned-up. Churchstonewarrior has done little wrong since switched to fences and he merits respect, too.

His links to the form of the top-class Gerri Colombe underline the chance held by BRONN in a likely duel with Churchstonewarrior

14:10 Doncaster Handicap Chase (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HARDY BOY hit the crossbar when last seen over fences in August and he followed that up with an underwhelming fourth at Worcester over the smaller obstacles last time. However, the return to this sphere off a 1lb lower mark could see him regain the winning thread. Passing Reflection finished fourth on her chase debut at Ludlow over a furlong further and could take a step forward, while Abaya Du Mathan is another to note.

Most of these can be given a chance but the vote goes to PASSING REFLECTION who seems sure to build on her considerate introduction to fences at Ludlow and remains with few miles on the clock. Abaya du Mathan is feared most off a handy-looking mark.

Alan King's PASSING REFLECTION tends to race too freely and is not without risk but big positives can be drawn from her chasing debut.

LTO Selection:

14:20 Cheltenham Maiden Chase (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Despite just four runners lining up here, this race still appears to be a difficult puzzle to solve with a tentative vote going the way of the Irish raider MIGHTY TOM. Cian Collins' charge was a modest second behind the classy Letsbeclearaboutit in a Grade 3 contest over 2m4f at Cork last time and should go well. Colin Tizzard saddled Eldorado Allen to victory in this contest in 2020 and Joe Tizzard has solid claims of repeating the feat with JPR One after his comfortable win at Newton Abbot, while Homme Public and Petit Tonnerre can follow them home.

Having shaped well or better than the result on several occasions in competitive handicap hurdles last season, PETIT TONNERRE is taken to make a winning start over the larger obstacles at the expense of Mighty Tom, who was unlucky to bump into Letsbeclearaboutit on his chasing debut at Cork recently and is entitled to do better over fences. Jpr One gets the verdict over Homme Public for third place.

Irish challenger MIGHTY TOM posted the highest RPR of these over hurdles and there was lots to like about his chase debut at Cork.

Mr Hampstead, a full-brother to Irish Oaks winner Savethelastdance, and Meydaan, a son of Frankel out of a Group 1-winning mare, both make plenty of appeal on paper ahead of their introductions. However, the experience gained by ASSAILANT when third on debut at York may give John and Thady Gosden's colt the edge. Tokyo Bay is another open to improvement following his second at Nottingham.

ASSAILANT sets the standard on the basis of his York third, though newcomers Mr Hampstead and Meydaan possess glittering pedigrees and could well prove above average newcomers. Tokyo Bay also showed plenty to like on his first start and can't be ruled out in an intriguing contest.

Tokyo Bay and ASSAILANT caught the eye first time out. Mr Hampstead and Meydaan are two newcomers to note.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HENN SEE gets a tentative vote. The French import made a winning start for the champion trainer in a Limerick maiden hurdle nearly two years ago, but his jumping gave cause for concern on both outings since over fences last winter. He led when falling at the penultimate fence over this trip at Clonmel and his jumping deteriorated in the closing stages last time at Fairyhouse. Hopefully his technique has improved in the interim. Gavin Cromwell saddles an interesting trio including recent Sligo maiden hurdle winner Charming Fortune and The King Of Prs, who won a Listowel handicap hurdle last time. Neveradullmoment won a handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival and made an encouraging start over fences at the same venue.

Willie Mullins' HENN SEE holds the edge on form and is fancied to make a winning return for his in-form yard at the chief expense of fencing-newcomer Malton Groove. Charming Fortune is another having his first go over fences who needs a second look.

The Mullins camp has had plenty of time to work on the jumping issues that HENN SEE suffered from last season. He gets a hopeful vote

14:45 Doncaster Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EAST END GIRL accounted for her nearest rival by a length and a half in this grade at Hereford last month and the handicapper may have been kind to only put her up 3lb for that victory. The daughter of Youmzain is the one to beat. The main threat is Luna Dora, who was only denied by just over two lengths into second at Uttoxeter last time. Of the remainder, Luckie Money makes the most appeal on her handicap bow.

LUNA DORA was as good as ever on return at Uttoxeter last month and she's narrowly fancied to get the better of last-time-out Hereford winner East End Girl. Regally Blonde looks open to improvement in handicaps and can round off the placings.

It looks as if EAST END GIRL (nap) and Luna Dora with their recent achievements present clearly the most solid claims.

No luck in the Grand National thereafter and should be better for last month's Punchestown return. This always tough having to concede weight to most but his claims are obvious.

14:55 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 2) 29f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

LATENIGHTPASS finished a cracking fourth in the Foxhunters at Aintree in April and makes his belated handicap bow now under the tutelage of Dan Skelton. The veteran's opening mark looks workable and he may be able to get the better of Delta Work, who must concede 22lb to the selection. The son of Network has two victories to his name in this sphere and he is likely to be in the mix once more, with his stablemate Galvin unlikely to be far away.

BACK ON THE LASH comes alive over these fences and is 2 lb lower than for his last win in this sphere in January. He'll be better for last month's return at Exeter so a revival is surely on the cards and he gets the vote over Gordon Elliott's Delta Work and Galvin, who are undoubtedly the class acts but must concede stacks of weight to Martin Keighley's charge.

This handicap version makes life all the tougher for the class acts but GALVIN (nap) is usually mustard when fresh.

15:05 Newcastle Handicap (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

AQWAAM justified strong support in the market when winning with ease at Chelmsford recently and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to prevent Ian Williams' gelding from completing a quick-fire double. Haaland is clearly heading in the right direction after landing the spoils in some style over C&D last month and the three-year-old isn't taken lightly off 7lb higher in the ratings. Top-weight Balhambar may fare best of the remaining protagonists.

This can go the way of the penalised AQWAAM, who produced a career best when easily winning at Chelmsford 10 days ago and Ian Williams' 5-y-o remains relatively unexposed on a synthetic surface. Second choice is sole 3-y-o Haaland, who relished a further step up in trip when scoring over C&D 4 weeks ago, with Balhambar and Animato taken to battle out minor honours.

3yo HAALAND really kicked on again with his emphatic win over C&D last month and he gets the vote ahead of Aqwaam.

BANADA BRIDGE appears to have found a good opportunity to open her account. The selection twice filled the runner-up spot over this distance last season including behind Gaoth Chuil at Leopardstown in March and that form received a timely boost at Naas last Sunday. The six-year-old mare has been consistent over shorter trips in recent months and is preferred to Mythical Times, who indicated a modest handicap could be within his compass when fifth to Getabelle (won again since) over a similar trip at Cork last month. Top-weight Jeriko De Baune was also far from disgraced over three miles at Galway last time, while Collo Meo boasts the best piece of form on his second to the odds-on Castle Town House in an 18-runner Limerick maiden, but was off the course for well over two years before soundly beaten at the same venue last month.

JERIKO DE BAUNE can race off a 1 lb lower mark than when a good recent Galway fifth so gets the vote in an open handicap. Banada Bridge is weighted to have a big say so rates next best ahead of the lightly-raced Mythical Times.

Modest fare in which it could pay to side with top-weight JERIKO DE BAUNE, who should appreciate this drop in trip and is less expos

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero team can do very little wrong at present and they appear to have a strong chance to continue their fine run of form with GABORIOT. A winner at Kempton last month when returning from a break, the seven-year-old could have more to offer racing off a 3lb higher mark. Crystal Moon has gone well fresh in the past and is open to improvement on just his third start over fences, while Brave Starlight is expected to leave behind his Exeter run over timber.

GABORIOT battled well to score at Kempton and remains well treated on the pick of his French form so could be good for the follow up. Crystal Moon, Brave Starlight and Gentle Frank can also have good cases made for them in a race that may not take much winning.

Back at the scene of his hurdles success, interesting chase debutant GENTLE FRANK gets the vote. Gaboriot is second choice.

Champion Bumper third Captain Teague is sure to prove popular after opening his account over hurdles in the Persian War at Chepstow last month. However, Paul Nicholls' inmate may need to jump more fluently in this deeper contest to complete a double and it could be worth taking a punt on KINBARA. A wide-margin winner on both starts over hurdles to date, the son of Mahler ticks plenty of the right boxes. The Big Doyen rates best of the remainder.

CAPTAIN TEAGUE made a highly promising start to his hurdling career with victory in the Grade 2 Persian War at Chepstow on his return last month and, with significant improvement on the cards, he ought to prove hard to beat having already run to a useful level. Kinbara represents a stable that does well with its runners at this track and has impressed in winning both his starts in this sphere, so warrants plenty of respect, as does Sequestered, whose Galway win is backed up by the timefigure.

Captain Teague is respected but KINBARA looks a strong alternative. The Big Doyen and Sequestered are also of interest.

(5) Be Proud 28/1, Five-time C&D winner. 3 wins from 12 runs this year. Latest win at Ayr in October. 12/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, heavy) 20 days ago. Back down in trip and it wouldn't be the biggest of surprises were he to bounce back with a bold show.
Three wins in 2023 but he's not easy to predict and was tailed off latest; risks attached.

15:40 Newcastle Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BERGERAC posted his best effort of the year after being collared in the shadows of the post and finishing second over C&D last Friday. The five-year-old may take plenty of beating if running to a similar level on this quick turnaround, with the drop in class a big positive too. Dickieburd opened his account on the all-weather at the same meeting as the selection, but a 6lb penalty may leave Craig Lidster's inmate vulnerable, with penalised winner Strong Johnson feared most.

Less exposed than the majority of these, BROOKLYN NINE NINE makes plenty of appeal on the back of an eye-catching fourth of 17 in a Class 3 handicap at York where he shaped much better than the bare result. This stiffer 5f will be more suitable for Richard Fahey's charge. Bergerac returned to form when runner-up over C&D last time and is next on the list ahead of Venturous. There wasn't much between Strong Johnson and Treacherous here recently and they should both be in the mix once again.

The vote goes to BERGERAC, who turned things around with a near-miss over C&D last week and is a big player if he can repeat that form.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BROWNSTONE moved yards from Mick Winters this autumn and opened his account on soft ground at Fairyhouse last month. The Yeats gelding, who was previously placed on testing ground over this trip at Perth, again shaped well at Thurles last time and connections believe he could be better suited by going left-handed. We'llgowats won over this distance at Cork last year and struck again on her penultimate start in deep ground at Gowran, while the lightly-raced Kiln Time has been tried over a variety of trips and beat all bar Duffys Getaway on his handicap debut over three miles at Fairyhouse last week. Tastyee and Huit Reflets are others to consider.

BROWNSTONE looks the way to go on the back of his good Thurles fourth with this return to a longer trip also a likely plus. Kiln Time is next on the list on the back of his good Fairyhouse second, with Tastyee another who need considering now going into handicaps.

KILN TIME showed plenty on his return at Fairyhouse recently and could take the beating here even though he ideally

15:53 Doncaster Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Zwicky commands the utmost respect in search of a fourth victory from his last five starts and the six-year-old has the advantage of Joe Williamson's claim negating the 4lb rise for his Carlisle success last month. The vote, though, goes to NICKELFORCE, who benefited from a first-time hood when runner-up at Hereford and a more galloping track on this occasion may help. Others to consider are Mister Barclay and Immortal Fame.

NICKELFORCE and Zwicky are both heading in the right direction and could be the pair to focus on here. The latter proved that he is comfortable in this big-field scenario when scoring at Carlisle and is not passed over at all lightly in his hat-trick attempt. However, Nickelforce bumped into a well-handicapped rival at Hereford (form which has been boosted by the subsequent win of the third) and he is marginally preferred. Burrows Hall and Immortal Fame are others with a chance.

Hereford runner-up NICKELFORCE, an unexposed sort, is taken to go one better. Mister Barclay is second choice.

16:05 Cheltenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Dual hurdles winner CAITHNESS undoubtedly faces his toughest assignment to date. Nevertheless, the seven-year-old won with enough authority on his handicap debut at Kelso last month to suggest that an 8lb rise in the handicap might not be enough to halt his progression. The 121-rated Impose Toi enters this sphere off a workable mark given that his Huntingdon conqueror Brentford Hope has recently romped home off a mark of 122 at Newbury. Tintintin and Showman can also get competitive.

A cracking handicap to conclude. An opening mark of 110 could underestimate BROOK BAY so he's the suggestion with improvement on the cards. Fellow unexposed sorts Caithness, Artistic Endeavour and Tintintin are likely threats, while Showman may prove best of the Irish contingent.

Impose Toi is glaring but preference is for SHOWMAN who left a positive impression when second in a handicap last time out.

16:15 Newcastle Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Debut winner INVOLVEMENT was quite taking in a Redcar maiden in September and the Lope De Vega colt could be capable of shouldering a 7lb penalty in this contest, despite there being some potentially useful recruits on show. Newcomer El Zoud, half-brother to French Group 3 winner Tantheem, warrants close inspection in the market for John and Thady Gosden, while fellow debutants Power Shot and Minstrel Knight cannot be ruled out either.

INVOLVEMENT looked one to follow as he impressively won a Redcar maiden first time up 7 weeks ago and can make it 2-2 now switched to AW. El Zoud and Power Shot head up the newcomers.

The Crisfords' INVOLVEMENT made an impressive start at Redcar in September and sets a useful standard under a penalty.

LTO Selection:

16:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Recent C&D winner SHOW COMPASSION has an excellent opportunity to follow up with top apprentice Billy Loughnane on board. She was running consistently prior to that victory and is taken to overcome a 2lb rise in her handicap mark. The biggest danger may be Coast, who has produced several of her best efforts over C&D and that includes two of her three career victories. Henery Hawk is looking to complete a hat-trick but the step up from 5f is a concern.

HENERY HAWK has clicked of late, bagging 5f handicaps at Newcastle and here last month, and he looks capable of completing the hat-trick with this step back up in trip unlikely to be an issue. Show Compassion remains feasibly treated up 2 lb for her latest success over C&D and she is feared most ahead of Coast.

Linda Perratt's horses are thriving at present and HENERY HAWK (nap) can make light of a small weights rise and complete his hat-trick.

This looks like a good opportunity for EMERALD BANNER to gain a deserved win. The Starspangledbanner filly has been runner-up on her last three outings, including chasing home Alabama on a visit here in September. She has a mark of 87 and looks the one to beat at the weights now. Clonmacash won a nursery over course and distance nine days ago and has to carry a penalty for that success. With a mark of 79 he looks to have a tough task giving 10lb to the selection. Zelestial had a nice run on her debut at Navan back in May, behind Givemethebeatboys, and is an interesting one returning from a break having been slightly disappointing in Listowel subsequently.

EMERALD BANNER sets the standard and may not have reached her limit, so she takes preference over Twilight Hours, who looks a notable newcomer. Zelestial also warrants a mention.

Very hard to oppose EMERALD BANNER, in receipt of 10lb from recent C&D nursery winner Clonmacash

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WELCOME DREAM has the experience edge over many of these rivals and this looks a good opportunity to shed the maiden tag at the fourth time of asking. Kevin Ryan's runner was only just touched off over 6f at Carlisle last time and he shaped as if this extra yardage would suit. Ten Dimes, a well-bred daughter of No Nay Never, is feared most for powerful connections, while similar comments apply to Roger Varian's newcomer Indalo.

TEN DIMES makes tons of appeal on paper and gets the vote before market clues. The improving Welcome Dream is a big player returning from a break with this trip sure to suit him. Indalo is another newcomer to note.

Welcome Dream is respected but the vote goes to the Gosdens' striking newcomer TEN DIMES, who cost 600,000gns as a yearling.

17:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

It took GUITEAU 13 attempts to get off the mark but he may be able to immediately follow up his C&D victory. A favourable draw in stall three gives him every opportunity to attempt to make all for a second success and a 4lb rise doesn't look too harsh. Connected has also scored over C&D but his attempt to follow up last month was slightly disappointing and he may struggle from his draw in stall 12. Once Adaay has proved he acts on this course and showed promise when third off 1lb higher on his first attempt over 7f at Kempton 16 days ago.

CONNECTED wasn't seen to best effect having been rousted to get the lead from his wide draw over C&D last month, so he's well worth another chance to get back on the up. Guiteau dictated under a well-judged ride on his most recent outing, but a 4 lb rise shouldn't prevent another good run, with Storymaker completing the shortlist.

The form of ONCE ADAAY's Kempton third has been boosted since and he could have more to come at this trip now tried in a visor.

17:10 Dundalk Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Three-time course and distance winner JERED MADDOX ran well when fourth on his last outing here a fortnight ago and may be able to strike again off his current mark. The Lawman gelding didn't have the clearest passage last time in a very competitive contest and if he produces a similar effort he should run a big race now. Daamberdiplomat had a few decent turf runs during the summer and has eased to a nice mark. With Wesley Joyce taking off 5lb he could be a big player. Volatile Analyst is another who has been slipping down the weights and the six-time winner could be a contender now off this kind of mark.

VOLATILE ANALYST is well handicapped and has been shaping up encouragingly so could be the way to go having won on the AW in the past. Secret Magician and Daamberdiplomat are respected also.

After 21 starts on the turf SECRET MAGICIAN makes plenty of appeal on her AW debut here from a good draw

LTO Selection:

17:20 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A typically competitive contest with the tentative selection being UPPER HAND, who ran on takingly over 6f at Chelmsford and the step back up in trip can see him to better effect. John Butler's colt was guilty of running too freely on that occasion which suggests that performance can be marked up and he'll go close with a more polished effort. Goldmine Girl was only beaten a length over C&D last time and she can have a say having escaped a rise in the ratings, while Fariha is also respected on nursery debut.

The return to 7f promises to suit UPPER HAND, although a strong market move for William Haggas handicap newcomer Fariha would put a slightly different slant on things. Mulciber is another Newmarket-trained nursery newcomer to keep a close eye on in the betting, while Hand Jive failed to improve on his nursery debut but has a pedigree which suggests he may do better at some point.

It might be worth siding with GOLDMINE GIRL who made a bold bid over C&D last time and that was behind a progressive subsequent winner.

17:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Following her debut success at Kempton, it is hard to ignore the claims of TIMELESS CHARM, who always travelled comfortably and strode away for an extremely impressive six-length success. George Boughey's filly can improve for that experience and looks up to defying a winner's penalty this evening. Bigtime Bridget showed promise when fourth to Shemozzle at Newmarket and could be a danger as she steps up in trip on her first attempt on an all-weather surface. The market may be the best guide as to what is expected of the newcomers, but the Andrew Balding-trained Lady Birdie cost 30,000gns and could be the pick of them.

TIMELESS CHARM drew clear in taking fashion on her recent Kempton debut and looks up to defying a penalty on that evidence. Ehtiram can have her debut effort overlooked and is clearly thought capable of much better, while Lady Birdie and Qamari are a pair of interesting newcomers who require close market attention.

The form choice is promising TIMELESS CHARM, who won in great style at Kempton. Ehtiram is feared most.

LTO Selection:

17:45 Dundalk Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

VICTOR'S CHOICE showed much more when making her handicap debut at Galway late last month and may be able to go one better now. Adrian Murray's charge was a touch unlucky then, when meeting traffic problems, and finished off well to get within half a length of I've Been Dreaming despite going to post a 40/1 shot. Off just a pound higher mark there looks to be a race in her. A tongue-tie is added now. Masonbrook Meadow ran a decent race when fifth here last month and, with blinkers fitted now, could get closer, while Thia is noted too.

VICTOR'S CHOICE improved when second in a stronger race than this at Galway on nursery debut and, with further progress on the cards, she's well worth a chance to open her account at the possible expense of Thia, who was behind the selection in the same race but should benefit from the longer trip here. Koniag is also considered.

An open nursery. KONIAG ran well in his first nursery and appeared to get stuck in the mud in his second.

LTO Selection:

17:52 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Mart was a game winner over 6f at Lingfield last time and he is likely to be on the scene once more, but, having been raised 2lb in the ratings for that head success, he may be susceptible to rivals who are better treated, such as TORVAR. David O'Meara's charge has been given a chance by the handicapper after being beaten just two lengths over C&D last time and a repeat of that effort would see him get his head in front, while Pinpoint completes the shortlist.

WICHAHPI has done well in nurseries and the speed she shows suggests this drop back to 5f could suit if anything. Mart struck at just the second time of asking for new trainer Dylan Cunha at Lingfield last month and is second choice. Torvar is another who should make his presence felt, while Gloves and The Liegeman are a couple of potential improvers now handicapping.

Wichahpi can make a bold bid up the rail but GLOVES looks a likely big improver now her attentions are turned to nurseries.

18:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In what looks a very competitive nursery, a tentative vote is given to CLAXTON BAY, who ran well at 80/1 in a Lingfield novice stakes over a mile in October and was possibly unsuited by the drop back to 6f on his latest run at Chelmsford. An opening mark of 70 looks workable, while Squeaker was only narrowly denied by Tiptoe over C&D last time and can have her say again off 2lb higher. Roman Secret's Nottingham second last month would also give her a chance in this wide-open contest.

ROCKET WARRIOR had something to spare when opening his account at Bath a couple of months ago and, while the handicapper has taken no chances with his opening mark, he's worth a chance to follow up with his stable in red-hot form. Roman Secret is an obvious danger and Claxton Bay merits respect with the step up in trip in his favour.

Top of the list is DUNSTAN, who should be more at home under these conditions than when returned to 7f on slow ground last month.

LTO Selection:

18:15 Dundalk Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DELUCA CHOP ran really well here on his last visit and would be a deserving winner now. The French-bred gelding was just pipped close home after making the running here over the extended 10 furlongs in September. He has run well over further so going back up to this trip doesn't look an issue. Nevada Brave has run well on his last couple of outings here and looks well worth another shot at this trip. Sioux Princess won over course and distance on her penultimate outing and may appreciate going back up in trip again having been beaten favourite over the extended ten last time.

HUMTAZA remains a maiden following nine attempts, but she has dropped quickly in the weights and took a step back in the right direction when a never-nearer fifth over C&D last time. She may well be the answer to this wide-open handicap. The return to this trip looks a good move for Nevada Brave, who has made the frame both starts over 10.7f here since returning from a short break and he is feared most ahead of Deluca Chop.

From stall 3 the suggestion is DELUCA CHOP who ran well over shorter here last and returning to further should be a positive.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ERMIN STREET is taken to gain revenge on recent C&D winner Come On John. Making his reappearance after wind surgery, Mark Loughnane's charge was well off the pace in the early stages before running on well to be beaten three and three-quarter lengths by Come On John. The selection is 5lb better off with that reopposing winner this evening and, expected to come on for that run, he is taken to reverse that form. The hat-trick seeking Star Of St Louis was only a narrow winner last time and a further 2lb rise may see his winning run come to an end.

COME ON JOHN overcame a pace bias and trouble in running to score over C&D 11 days ago and he remains well treated on old form, so he's taken to get the better of Star of St Louis, who is on the up for his current stable. Meadram is another one to consider.

The vote goes to the dual C&D winner MEADRAM who suggested he was on the way back when narrowly beaten at Chelmsford last month.

LTO Selection:

18:45 Dundalk Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Going up in trip again should suit WISHES AND DREAMS, who showed significant improvement last time. The Highland Reel filly ran on well when grabbing second late on on her handicap debut over the extended ten furlongs here nine days ago. That was just her fourth career outing and there should be more to come. Sky Legend ran well at a big price when chasing home the in-form Celtic Revival here at the start of the month and is fitted with cheekpieces now. He could be a big player. The consistent Wild Shot is another that has to come into calculations.

WISHES AND DREAMS belied big odds as she nearly made a successful handicap debut here last week and looks the way to go in the hope she can build on that. Hot Lady and Sky Legend are among the other chief players.

A good few with chances but the suggestion is ELZAAMSAN in the hope he gets a decent pace to chase. He lurks on a good mark.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

My Roxanne struck by just under two lengths over a mile at Newcastle last week and she should mount another bold bid, even though she has a 6lb penalty to carry. However, the vote goes to SUN FESTIVAL, who hasn't finished out of the top two in his last three outings, including when second over C&D earlier in the month, and he could prove hard to beat off the same rating. Graffiti completes the shortlist on his return to the Flat.

SWING TO THE STARS is still unexposed and has shaped better than the result on her last couple of starts, so she takes marginal preference over Sun Festival, who arrives in top form. Recent winner My Roxanne is another big player.

The choice is the consistent and reliable SUN FESTIVAL who found only one too good over C&D last time and races off the same mark here.

19:15 Dundalk Maiden 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SARAH PURSER may prove the answer to a tricky looking maiden. The Zoffany filly was easy to back, and well beaten, on heavy ground at Killarney last time and it looks significant that connections try her on the all-weather now. She had run well previously when third on decent ground at Clonmel and looks up to winning a maiden at this time of year. Banana Three was second off a mark of 70 in handicap company here last time and is entitled to play a big part in an average looking maiden now. Skyquake is another that could benefit from a sounder surface now having faded tamely in testing ground at Naas last time.

APERCU shaped with plenty of encouragement when fourth on her recent C&D debut and, with improvement on the cards, she's selected to get off the mark at the second time of asking. Banana Three and Skyquake head the dangers.

It might be worth taking a chance on APERCU improving enough from her C&D debut fourth.

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

POWER OF DARKNESS attempted to make all but weakened inside the last furlong to finish third in this grade at Newcastle on his latest outing and he goes off the same mark this evening. The Charlie Fellowes-trained eight-year-old could continue his fine form to take this, although Flatley was victorious by just over a length over C&D last time and he is likely to get into contention off a 5lb higher mark. Phantasy Mac takes a step back in distance and could also have a say.

SUPREME KING was no match for the unexposed Run Zarak Run on debut for this yard in a Redcar novice last month, but he in turn pulled clear of the rest and is entitled to come on for that run, given that he was returning from a six-month absence. He resumes in handicap company on a potentially handy mark and gets the nod ahead of cosy recent C&D winner Flatley. Phantasy Mac and Supaspecialawesome are others to consider, while Power of Darkness should also have a part to play.

The vote goes to dual C&D winner PHANTASY MAC who is now 6lb lower than when last successful.

LTO Selection:

19:45 Dundalk Handicap 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The admirably consistent LONGBOURN may be able to strike again here. Scott McCullagh takes 3lb off his back, which is a help for the top-weight, and this is an easier task than he faced on his last outing, when running a cracker in the valuable Northfields Handicap at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend. Down at the other end of the handicap Fairytale Princess is another big player having won two of her last three here. The Camelot filly takes a jump up in class now though. Benavente stayed on well when scoring over a mile here a fortnight ago and it's interesting to see him stepping up to this trip for the first time.

A few in-form sorts clash in a competitive handicap. LUKE SHORT could still be nicely treated up 5 lb for his recent course defeat of Jaafel and gets the nod. His old rival should give it his usual good shot at this venue. Fairytale Princess is another who has taken really well to the polytrack surface here and also makes the shortlist along with Benavente.

Though raised another 9lb for her last win, FAIRYTALE PRINCESS (nap) might be able to score again with a capable claimer taking off 5lb

LTO Selection:

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

KITTY FOYLE only found one too strong when making her handicap bow over 1m4f at Lingfield last time, but she has scope for further improvement and could defy a 2lb rise in the handicap now upped in trip. Artisan Dancer continues to run well and must firmly enter calculations, while Rock Chant is able to compete off his last winning mark and should not be written off now dropped in class.

ARTISAN DANCER is enjoying an excellent season and is fancied to bag win number four on the back of his recent C&D second when not enjoying the rub of the green. Two Past Eight is weighted to go well back in this sphere so could emerge as the main threat ahead of the unexposed Kitty Foyle.

Granted a well-run race, the most powerful finisher may well be ARTISAN DANCER. Second choice is Kitty Foyle.

HIJO DE LA LUNA was slightly disappointing on his handicap debut here nine days ago but should appreciate stepping back up in trip now. The Sea The Moon gelding stayed on late when seventh to Sea Chariot and was only beaten just over two lengths at the line. He was eased a couple of pounds afterwards and there looks to be a race in him off this kind of mark. Stablemate Caulaincourt ran a decent race when fifth over course and distance against some experienced sorts in a claimer here last month. He could be a contender now back in handicap company. Florida Taiga was dropped a pound after finishing sixth in a Curragh handicap last month and is another to consider in an average contest.

HASTEN SLOWLY is starting to look dangerously well treated and might be worth chancing. Dermot Weld's Florida Taiga is next on the list ahead of Ger Lyons pair Hijo De La Luna and Caulaincourt.

A chance is taken on LADY CHRISTA who went close over 1m2f at Navan but didn't stay 1m6f there next time.

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SPEED DIAL BAILEYS broke well to make all over C&D last month and, drawn in stall one tonight, James Tate's filly could employ similar tactics to defy a 4lb rise in the ratings. Just Janet only found one too good off this mark over 7f at Lingfield last time and she could find more for the application of a first-time visor, while Starsong is the most appealing of the remainder.

A few with chances but SPEED DIAL BAILEYS looks the way to go on the back of her career-best C&D success last month. Star of Lady M is on a long losing run but weighted to have a say so comes next on the list ahead of in-form pair Just Janet and Starsong.

After an encouraging return to action at Chelmsford this may go the way of STARSONG. My Delilah may prove best of the rest.
