1st (2) Might I (1/4 -39%)
Might I

1/4(-39%)
(2) Might I 1/4, Useful hurdler who finished runner-up in 2½m Aintree Grade 1 on his final 2021/22 start. Fourth in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham in March and ran to a useful level sent chasing after 5 months off at Newton Abbot (might even have won with a better round of jumping). Can put that experience to use.
Highly talented hurdler; didn't jump well on chase debut but still ran well; strong claims.

Bourbali

11/4(+31%)
(1) Bourbali 11/4, Big improver over hurdles in 2021/22, winning 4 times. Consistent in defeat last season, finishing a creditable second at Sandown when last seen in April (fourth that day has made a winning chase debut this term). Front runner who has the demeanour to adapt to chasing.
On hurdle form he has plenty to find with Might I, but not without hope on chase debut.
LTO Selection:

12:10 Exeter Maiden Chase (Class 3) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A match that represents the best opportunity MIGHT I has found to get his head back in front. The seven-year-old ran with credit to finish fourth in the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham Festival and made a pleasing enough start over fences against rivals who boasted more experience when runner-up at Newton Abbot. Bourbali was consistent in handicap hurdles last season and could have more to offer in this sphere.

MIGHT I didn't jump great on his chase debut at Newton Abbot last month but that experience won't be lost on him and he should see off Bourbali, rated 18 lb inferior over hurdles to Harry Fry's charge.

Classy hurdler MIGHT I did not jump with fluency on last month's chase debut but this still looks a good opportunity for him.

(2) Hill Of Tara 1/9, From a good jumping family and much improved to make a winning handicap debut/reappearance at Ffos Las 8 days ago. A 7 lb penalty doesn't look enough to stop him with further improvement on the cards.
Won at Ffos Las on reappearance; looks the type to improve further and rack up a sequence.

Black Lightning

12/1(+14%)
(4) Black Lightning 12/1, Losing run is mounting up but made the frame on 3 occasions from reduced mark earlier this term. Ran poorly at Uttoxeter last time, though.
Drop back to 2m4f is a plus; however, this exposed 10yo is on a two-year losing spell.

Journey West

10/1(+60%)
(3) Journey West 10/1, Modest winner in Ireland for Colin McBratney. 66/1, well-held fifth on his completed start for new yard this season.
Inconsistent but is competitively treated on best Irish form; third run for new yard.
LTO Selection:

12:20 Leicester Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Venetia Williams has her string in excellent form and she should add to her tally here with HILL OF TARA, who ran out an easy winner on his handicap/seasonal debut over 2m4f at Ffos Las eight days ago and the decision to turn him out again quickly under a 7lb penalty looks a wise one. The booking of 3lb claimer Ned Fox eases that burden and the six-year-old looks the sort who could rack up a sequence. He is likely to be given most to worry about by Gift Of Raaj, a novice hurdle winner at Doncaster in February who returns to obstacles on the back of a Flat success over the extended 2m at Newcastle recently. Black Lightning looks best of the rest.

This looks an excellent opportunity for HILL OF TARA to add to his recent Ffos Las success. Recent Flat scorer Gift of Raaj looks the obvious danger.

There should be further improvement to come from HILL OF TARA. On recent evidence, Gift Of Raaj looks the biggest threat.

(5) Shanagh Bob 2/9, €10,000 3-y-o, £200,000 4-y-o, Mahler gelding. Dam (h73), maiden hurdler, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/modest chaser (stayed 2¾m) Lahib The Fifth. Easily won sole start in Irish points. Has been found a weak-looking novice for hurdling debut.
Bought for £200,000 soon after winning a 3m soft-ground Irish point last December.

(1) All The Glory 15/2, Showed improved form when winning novices at Hexham and Market Rasen on her first 2 starts this season. Hasn't managed to build on those efforts since, but had plenty on under a double penalty when fourth at Hereford 27 days ago. Respected in a thin race.
Dual winner since May but penalised accordingly and looks vulnerable.

(4) Kruger Park 16/1, From a good family and shaped with encouragement when third in a Hereford bumper on debut in December. Disappointing next 2 outings and well held on hurdling/seasonal debut at Warwick 13 days ago. Hard to fancy.

(2) Honore 400/1, Down the field in 2 bumpers and has failed to complete both starts over hurdles so far. Plenty to prove after a long absence.
No worthwhile form as yet and has been absent for 12 months; no appeal.
LTO Selection:

12:30 Plumpton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

All The Glory recorded a double in the summer and has match-fitness on his side, while Flidais ran well in second over 2m here last month, but they may be playing for second place behind SHANAGH BOB. The son of Mahler was purchased for 200,000 pounds following an impressive point-to-point success 11 months ago and Nicky Henderson will have his sights on much loftier targets later in the season for his five-year-old. He can begin to repay connections at the first opportunity by making a winning debut under Rules.

SHANAGH BOB has been picked up by top connections after readily winning an Irish point and this looks an excellent opportunity to make a successful Rules debut. All The Glory is the likeliest to capitalise if the selection fluffs his lines and Flidais isn't completely ruled out.

If SHANAGH BOB is as good as he looked in his Irish point then a race of this nature should be well within his reach.

LTO Selection:

12:40 Exeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ELFRIDE was a winner at Uttoxeter on her penultimate start in May before unseating her rider at the same venue later that month. In a contest where most of her rivals have something to prove, the daughter of Black Sam Bellamy receives the tentative vote. Lady Wilberry was performing with credit over fences in the spring and commands respect, while Lucky So And So benefited from racing in the pointing field earlier in the year and is of interest back under Rules.

In a contest where few arrive with compelling claims a chance is taken on the fitness of RADDON TOP who knows where the winning post is over hurdles here and was also successful over fences at this venue off a higher mark last season. Moonlight Artist has a much less-exposed profile than most of these and that earns him a place on the shortlist along with Lucky So And So.

All of these come with risks. LUCKY SO AND SO is one of the least exposed runners and he might not be on a bad mark.

LTO Selection:

12:55 Leicester Maiden Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Stuart Edmunds won this race in 2017 and 2020 and he has strong claims again courtesy of MAJESTIC JAMEELA, who has been placed on all four hurdle starts to date and this looks a little easier than the 2m Ludlow event in which she was a respectable third off this mark last month. Bubblecraft cost 21,000gns after winning on the level in France and has to be of interest for Michael Wigham, especially if the market vibes are positive. Royal Toast was an expensive yearling who didn't pull up any trees in two starts on the level but could improve now tried over obstacles.

This looks a good chance for MAJESTIC JAMEELA to get off the mark over hurdles at the fifth time of asking. The chief threat may come from Tony Carroll's Royal Toast.

Bubblecraft and Royal Toast are interesting hurdles debutantes. MAJESTIC JAMEELA is the pick on hurdles form as things stand.

Became disappointing in Ireland but Chris Gordon could turn him around.
LTO Selection:

13:05 Plumpton Selling Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This represent a big drop in class for HIAOU on his debut for Chris Gordon after the six-year-old was well beaten in a competitive Leopardstown contest on his chasing bow for Gordon Elliott in the spring. He is well clear on official ratings as he reverts to hurdles and may prove too strong for Saligo Bay, who finished a long way clear of the third when runner-up in a selling handicap hurdle earlier in the month. Laser Focus is another to consider.

If HIAOU still retains anything like the ability he showed at his best in Ireland he's the one beat on his first start for Chris Gordon. Saligo Bay is the one likely to capitalise should the selection fail to deliver.

Hiaou has the highest rating but lost his way badly in Ireland. SALIGO BAY rates the safer bet after his good run at Huntingdon.

13:15 Exeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GIDLEIGH PARK made an impressive start to his career when landing a Chepstow bumper in March and the form has since been franked by the runner-up, who won both a bumper and a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las in taking style. The five-year-old is expected to take high rank as a novice hurdler and this appears to be a nice starting point. Range performed with credit in a couple of bumpers last season, most notably when runner-up on debut at Chepstow, and he is respected along with Samazul, a winner at Southwell in December.

An interesting race. GIDLEIGH PARK created a good impression in a bumper last spring and is preferred to expensive point recruit Salt Rock. Range and Ben Pauling pair Samazul and Man of My Dreams achieved enough in bumpers to think they can also make their mark in a race like this.

The Harry Fry-trained GIDLEIGH PARK impressed on his debut in a bumper at Chepstow in March and earns the vote now hurdling.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ONE TRUE KING returns to this venue for the first time since landing a novice hurdle nearly three years ago and there is plenty to like about his chances, representing the in-form Nigel Twiston-Davies yard and he ran well in defeat off this mark in a better contest at Cheltenham last month. His match-fitness could give him the edge over Animal, who has strong claims on the form of his impressive 3m Kempton victory in March but Suzy Smith's charge hasn't raced since April. A winner over hurdles in September, the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Track And Trace receives weight all round on his handicap/chasing debut and a bold bid would come as no surprise.

SPAGO appeals as the sort to make a better chaser and should find the anticipated improvement with this markedly longer trip looking in his favour. One True King has been running well in tougher company recently and should prove capable of giving another good account, with chase-newcomer Track And Trace also interesting.

Fergal O'Brien's SPAGO made a promising start in this sphere when fourth at Kempton and gets the vote now his stamina is drawn out more.

13:40 Plumpton Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

GENERAL MEDRANO has relished the switch to larger obstacles and made it 2-2 over fences when taking a 7lb rise in his stride to win well at Huntingdon three weeks ago. Emma Lavelle's gelding has gone up another 9lb for that victory but remains on an upward curve and this step up in trip could unlock further improvement. Brave Kingdom has won two of his three starts over hurdles and is interesting on his handicap debut for Paul Nicholls, but it is nearly two years since we have seen him on a racecourse. The lack of a recent run also tempers enthusiasm for Ree Okka, but he mixed it in good company last season and must be respected.

MARTATOR lurks on a very tempting mark (23 lb lower than when starting out for the yard) and could be set for a big run if building on his Aintree comeback and jumping better. General Medrano is feared most in his hat-trick bid but fair cases can be made for the other trio.

All five have chances but the suggestion is REE OKKA, who ran well in three of his four chases last season.

King Turgeon found only a revitalised rival too strong on last month's seasonal return and he merits respect following a 4lb rise in the handicap, but preference is for LEISSIERES EXPRESS. Jeremy Scott's charge stayed on well over 2m4f at Wincanton 22 days ago, finishing second on his first start over fences, so today's step up in trip could see him in an even better light. Moorland Rambler is also noted.

KING TURGEON pulled well clear with a race-fit and in-form rival on return at Chepstow, and with the same claimer retaining the partnership, is fancied to go one better this time. Leissieres Express showed improved from on chase debut at Wincanton and also merits respect, whilst No Hubs No Hoobs has slipped back towards his last winning mark and isn't discounted given his decent record after a break.

The 5yo KING TURGEON (nap) bumped into the rejuvenated Eceparti when a clear second at Chepstow and can go one better here.

CREM FRESH made a winning return to action at Fakenham last Monday in comfortable fashion and the mare is unlikely to have any issue with carrying a 7lb penalty, despite the fact she drops back in trip. Aviewofthestars bids for a hat-trick of victories on her first start for Stella Barclay, while any market support for Sawpit Samantha on her handicap debut would make her of interest.

There is a strong suspicion PASSING KATE is ahead of her mark and she's worth chancing. Crem Fresh is an obvious player if she's come out well from last week's Fakenham win when returning from another long absence. Aviewofthestars has moved yards again since her Worcester success but has to be respected in her hat-trick bid.

It is worth siding with PASSING KATE, who caught the eye when a strong-travelling Stratford fifth and can capitalise on a lenient mark.

EDE'IFFS ROCK has finished second on both starts over hurdles so far at Warwick and Newton Abbot. The five-year-old now switches her attention to handicap company where it wouldn't be a surprise to see her take a step forward. Duhallow Tommy is likely to improve from his latest effort at Fontwell, while Afta Party and Birdman Bob appear best of the remainder.

DUHALLOW TOMMY should be spot on having seemed in need of his reappearance and he's potentially well-in based on bumper efforts, so he's worth a chance to make a successful handicap debut. Afta Party looks the main danger on the back of a successful debut for this yard and Atreides would warrant respect if taking his chance.

Afta Party is respected after his improved win last time but DUHALLOW TOMMY has shown enough to believe he might be well treated.

Endless Supply (third) was no match for an impressive ALFIE'S PRINCESS (winner) when the pair met at Chepstow last time. The former, who produced a high level of form in bumpers last season, is fancied to uphold those placings, despite carrying a penalty, and maintain her unbeaten hurdles record. Queen Annie was also successful at the Welsh venue when last in action and must be considered now sent over timber.

ALFIE'S PRINCESS came clear in good style on her hurdles debut at Chepstow and there is more to come from her. She can defy a penalty, with old-rival Endless Supply perhaps the danger with improvement on the way also. Kit's Coty got no luck at Ludlow when shaping well and is feared. Queen Annie is also considered first time up over hurdles.

Alfie's Princess won well at Chepstow but ENDLESS SUPPLY was looking a danger until whacking two out and she now has a 7lb pull.

14:50 Plumpton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RAGAMUFFIN displayed signs of a return to form when third over C&D earlier in the month and Neil Mulholland's gelding could take advantage of what doesn't appear to be a particularly strong contest, especially with the handicapper leaving him on the same mark. Stanley Pincombe filled the runner-up spot on his return from a break at Exeter and is open to improvement. Others to consider are Punches Cross and Maroochi.

If STANLEY PINCOMBE is in the same form as when second in a big field at Exeter last month he'll stand a good chance of going one better. Ragamuffin was third over C&D last time and is second choice ahead of Maroochi.

It's hard to be overly positive about any of these but STANLEY PINCOMBE was a clear second at Exeter and he appeals most.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Useful hurdler ARCLIGHT made the perfect start to life over fences when winning at Kempton last month, where she survived scare at the final obstacle. Nicky Henderson's charge ought to have learnt plenty from that, however, and a subsequent 8lb rise should not prevent her from mounting another stern challenge, with improvement on the cards. Lady Adare hit the woodwork in a Grade 2 at Wincanton nine days ago and she merits respect down in class, while others to note include Law Ella and Nurse Susan.

ARCLIGHT took extremely well to chasing when scoring with plenty in hand at Kempton last month, jumping boldy, and she can take the step up in grade in her stride. The 4-y-o is taken to see off the challenge of Lady Adare, who is respected after her fine second at Wincanton 9 days ago, while Irish-raider Law Ella also enters calculations.

Irish challenger LAW ELLA impressed on last month's chase debut at Thurles and can make it 2-2 over fences. Lady Adare is feared.

IMPRESSION CHIC lost nothing in defeat when attempting to follow up last month's Fontwell success at Musselburgh 12 days ago and Richard Hobson's unexposed chaser is fancied to regain the winning thread, despite being raised a further 2lb in the handicap. Spitfire Girl didn't appear to see out 3m1f at Hereford on her latest outing but she is well worth considering now eased in both trip and class, while Auditoria, a runner-up on her most recent start, appeals most of the remainder.

IMPRESSION CHIC has upped her form since switched to chasing and she's likely to get back to winning ways. Auditoria is likely to give her running again and it would be no surprise if Spitfire Girl got back on track.

More good times look on the cards for Richard Hobson's progressive mare IMPRESSION CHIC (nap), who can make it 2-3 in this sphere.

15:20 Plumpton Handicap Chase (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NO RISK WITH LOU jumped with great fluency when winning on his chasing debut last month and an 8lb rise might not be enough to stop Alex Hales' charge from following up. The chief threat might come in the form of Gitche Gumee, who showed a consistent level of form over hurdles last season and he is likely to appreciate the switch to fences. Kotmask is unlikely to go down without a fight, while Aviles should not be underestimated either.

NO RISK WITH LOU looked a natural chaser when making a winning debut over fences at Huntingdon and he should take plenty of beating again from an 8 lb higher mark. Kotmask was a consistent type over hurdles and still appeals as another who should do better in this sphere with a run now under his belt, whilst Aviles looks worth noting in the betting on chase debut.

Gitche Gumee should be well treated for his first run over fences but KOTMASK gets the nod after his third at Kempton.

MAKIN'YOURMINDUP sets a good standard and, having landed a Grade 2 over hurdles at Haydock last season, he has to be rated as a serious player in this less exalted company on his chasing debut. Moon Hunter is feared most after posting a respectable effort over fences off 2lb higher at Cheltenham last month, while Storminhome is also open to any amount of improvement now he has some experience of the larger obstacles.

MAKIN'YOURMINDUP had a solid campaign over hurdles last season but chasing should bring more out of him and he's fancied to get the better of the likes of Moon Hunter and Strominhome, who both shaped with encouragement on their chasing debuts recently.

The strapping STORMINHOME jumped for fun at Huntingdon before getting picked off by one who was ridden less aggressively.

LTO Selection:

15:40 Leicester Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It looks best to side with OAKLEY DANCER, who makes her seasonal/handicap debut in search of a hat-trick, having won at Chepstow and Newton Abbot earlier in the year. Word Has It won on his seasonal debut at Fontwell on Sunday and a 7lb penalty may not halt him if he can replicate that effort, while Harel Du Marais, who is now 4lb lower than when finishing a creditable third in handicap company at Perth in August, completes the shortlist.

OAKLEY DANCER made it back-to-back wins under another positive ride when scoring at Newton Abbot in May and she can land the hat-trick with more still to offer on her handicap debut. Harel du Marais was in good form when last seen in the summer and could go well again on his stable debut, with Word Has It also considered if taking up this engagement.

This may not take a great deal of winning and Mark Walford could have found the right race for his new recruit HAREL DU MARAIS.

(1) Pilbara 7/1, Won twice over hurdles in Ireland in summer 2020 when trained by Emmet Mullins. Sole win for this yard was gained off a significantly higher mark over fences at Fontwell in October 2021, but it's been a struggle since and offered little on his return 2 weeks ago.
Last season never got off the ground and he was laboured here two weeks ago.

15:50 Plumpton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With little pace on offer in this field, SAN PEDRO could repeat the tactics that saw him make all at Fontwell in May. The market suggested better was expected on last month's return, but he can take a step forward with that run under his belt. Baby Sham was far from disgraced over track and trip last time and Seamus Mullins' mare could fare better on her second start following wind surgery. Dear Ralphy is also noted.

Having resumed winning ways at Fontwell in May, SAN PEDRO is entitled to have needed the run on his stable/seasonal debut last month, so he can take a step forward to gain a third success since the application of cheekpieces. Baby Sham could also improve from her recent run and is respected, with Dear Ralphy completing the shortlist.

The interesting one is DEAR RALPHY (nap) who would surely have won here in April had he not fallen two out.

LTO Selection:

16:00 Exeter NH Flat Race (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BOND BROKER was a comfortable winner of his sole start on the point-to-point scene and is an attractive proposition on his Rules debut now he is under the tutelage of champion trainer, Paul Nicholls. The gelding, whose dam won over both hurdles and fences, was snapped up for 80,000 pounds after that pointing success and is presented with a good opportunity to produce an immediate return on the investment. Hartington, Dunskay and Anno Power are other noteworthy debutants to monitor in the betting.

PALACIO has an excellent pedigree and represents an in-form stable, so he's marginally preferred to Bond Broker, who has already tasted success in points. Hartington also makes plenty of appeal on paper.

Point winner BOND BROKER makes his debut for Paul Nicholls and is taken to maintain his unbeaten record. Pirates' Tale is a danger.

LTO Selection:

16:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The booking of Benoit De La Sayette in this apprentice handicap could prove crucial for FORWARD FLIGHT, who has leading claims on his 1m Yarmouth victory off a 2lb lower mark last month. Miss Dolly Rocker is a course winner returning from a break and she has slipped to a fair mark, while Arctician also looks feasibly treated again and ran well enough when fourth over C&D 12 days ago to be seriously considered in this company.

MISS DOLLY ROCKER shaped well in a stronger race over 11f here a fortnight ago and she looks the way to go. Newmarket-winner Big Bear Hug is respected despite a 6 lb rise, while Outrace can go well again despite his high draw.

There are doubts over all of the runners for one reason or another. Tentative preference is for MISS DOLLY ROCKER.

17:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NEW CHELSEA disappointed when sent off favourite for a nursery at Newmarket earlier in the month but he failed to get the 1m1f trip that day and could be worth another chance now dropped back in trip off a 2lb lower mark. His near-miss at Newbury over 7f the time before gives him a big chance here and first-time blinkers may help. I Love Paris has shown ability in her three qualifying runs, most notably when placed over 1m at HQ last time out, and an opening mark of 80 looks fair. Royal Tapestry won over this distance at Lingfield 13 days ago and complete the shortlist off 6lb higher.

ROYAL TAPESTRY has shown improved form upped to 1m and switched to nurseries on his last 2 starts, value for extra when opening his account at Lingfield 13 days ago, so he is taken to score again with the potential of more still to come. New Chelsea could fare better with blinkers now applied and is feared most, ahead of Swift Victory.

Preference is for I LOVE PARIS, who should progress now she's qualified for a mark. Royal Tapestry is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SOMMELIER left his April debut well behind when returning with an impressive success over 6f at Chelmsford earlier this month and he looks up to defying a penalty to follow up here. The form has bee boosted by the third scoring since and Marco Botti's gelding has scope for plenty of improvement. Also over 6f at Chelmsford, Alfa Kellenic caught the eye finishing well for third once the penny dropped on debut and should be wiser for that experience. Tangled Up In Blue also warrants respect after a decent third in a Newcastle nursery.

SOMMELIER ran to a pretty high level when off the mark at the second time of asking and looks up to defying a penalty with more to come. Alfa Kellenic receives 10 lb from the selection and has strong place claims, along with Tangled Up In Blue.

Sommelier is a key player despite his penalty but ALFA KELLENIC shaped with some promise at Chelmsford and can take a step forward.

LTO Selection:

18:00 Kempton Maiden (Class 2) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

EZRA CEE sets the standard based on what he has achieved in two starts to date and the manner in which he stayed on when runner-up here last time suggested the step back up to 7f would aid his cause. State Flag outran her odds to fill the runner-up spot over C&D at the start of the month and she is capable of being in the mix, while others to note are Wadacre Icarus and Ten Club.

There was a lot to like about STATE FLAG's C&D debut second so she's narrowly preferred to Peter Chapple-Hyam's Ezra Cee. Wadacre Icarus ought to build on his Newcastle debut and is also on the shortlist along with Tom Clover's Character Testing.

Several possibles but CHARACTER TESTING is taken to make it third time lucky. Ezra Cee and Le Geyt are feared most.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

HAFEET ALAIN arrives following a recent success at York and the booking of Billy Loughnane makes him appeal considerably on his return to the all-weather. Catch The Paddy scored at Newmarket on his latest start and he is likely to enter the reckoning off a 4lb higher mark. Autumn Festival, Choisya and Symbol Of Light appeal most of the remainder.

Some sort of case can be made for each on the 9 runners, though CATCH THE PADDY makes most appeal having quickened up smartly to overcome a pace bias at Newmarket last time. Excel Power has been shaping as if he's building back up to top form and has edged further down the weights again, with Hafeet Alain also hard to dismiss on the back of a career-best effort.

Choisya is high on the list but SYMBOL OF LIGHT can bounce back from a low-key display on soft turf nine weeks ago.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

PERSEUS WAY enjoyed a decent spell over hurdles for Gary Moore and returned to Owen Burrows with a promising display when runner-up here last month. The step up in trip promises to yield further improvement and he gets the vote at the expense of Dancing Harry, who was fourth at Goodwood in August, and World Without Love, who has been running consistently well of late.

PERSEUS WAY remains with low mileage on the level and can come out on top on the back of a fine run here 7 weeks ago. C&D-winner C'Mon Kenny, Carzola and Andaleep are also on the shortlist.

A competitive race in which DUKE OF OXFORD is fancied to step up on earlier form now his stamina is more fully tested.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A plum draw in stall one ought to aid the chances of dual course winner GOT NO DOLLARS. Recent efforts, most notably his narrow second at Chelmsford 18 days ago, would suggest the son of Showcasing is coming to hand, and he is weighted to go well from 9lb below his last winning mark. So Glorious sports first-time cheekpieces ahead of her handicap bow so it would come as no surprise to see an improved showing. Top Of The Class has taken a couple of backwards steps recently, but she might fare better now eased in class.

GOT NO DOLLARS has been knocking on the door in recent weeks and might be able to get his head back in front. Split Elevens caught the eye a bit last time and is second choice ahead of Swiss Rome and the selection's stablemate Harry The Haggler.

A wide-open handicap in which SPLIT ELEVENS is marginally preferred to Got No Dollars.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KEMERTON's handicap rating has been in free-fall following a string of below-par efforts on the turf, but Ian Williams' charge, whose career-best performance came at this venue, might be able to take advantage of his reduced mark now back on the all-weather. Trusty Scout struggled over hurdles last month but he had been running to a consistent level on synthetic surfaces prior to that performance. With that in mind, he could be in the shake-up, along with Hazel Bear and handicap debutant Total Master.

FRAVANCO has been in reasonable form lately and has the opportunity to make the running dropped in grade, so this could be the ideal opening to capitalise on a handy mark. Showlan Spirit and Hazel Bear are both feasible threats.

Upped further in distance with the hood retained, HAZEL BEAR (nap) could well open her account. Showlan Spirit is second choice.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The vote goes to CHURCHILL ROSE, who was unfortunate to bump into a well-handicapped, and heavily-backed, rival at Lingfield last month. 7lb claimer Mikkel Mortensen keeps the ride aboard Charlie Fellowes' three-year-old and she can go one better from just a 1lb higher mark. Dotties Star occupied the same position at Windsor 28 days ago and the gelding, whose dam was a multiple all-weather winner, must be respected now back on an artificial surface. Largo Bay heads the remainder.

CHURCHILL ROSE arrives on the back of a solid showing when second at Lingfield and is worth a chance to get back to winning ways. Largo Bay should be thereabouts and Dotties Star can't be ruled out.

Back down in distance, VELVET VULCAN is taken to record a first success. Trackman is second choice.
