LTO Selection:

JADE DE GRUGY comfortably won a 1m4f French bumper in October 2022 and was purchased later that month for 230,000 euro by current connections. The Doctor Dino filly is out of an unraced half-sister to Champion Chase winner Sire De Grugy. Riding arrangements suggest Gold In The Rivers, who cost 220,000 euro at the Derby Sale last year and is a Walk In The Park half-brother to six winners, is preferred of Gordon Elliott's pair while Queen Of Seduction won twice on the Flat including on testing ground at Gowran and is another interesting recruit to hurdles. Butcher Hollow, second to Jigoro in a 26-runner maiden at Navan, merits respect, while Cobra Queen and Joyeux Vivo are others with some hurdle experience to consider.

A serious case of quantity over quality in this opener with bumper-winner BUTCHER HOLLOW selected to go one better than on hurdling debut at Navan earlier in the month. Jade de Grugy is sure to be popular having joined Willie Mullins for €230,000 after winning a bumper in France back in October 2022 so she may emerge as the main danger, with Henry de Bromhead's pair Rosalys and Cobra Queen also fancied to feature.

Easy to forgive his reappearance at Wetherby and bounced right back to form when runner-up at Sedgefield a month ago. Big player if in the same mood. Triple chase winner last season (once over C&D); good second last month; major player.
3	3 (3) (14/1 -75%) Ballynagran	14 14/1(-75%)	(3) Ballynagran 14/1, Resumed winning ways at Hexham in May but highlighted his unreliability all 3 starts since, and others make more appeal. Pulled up all three starts since 3m Hexham win in May; hard to predict.

Not disgraced at the start of this season but ran poorly back from a short break at Southwell in September and off again since. Won off this mark in September 2022 but hasn't quite been in same form this year.
1	1 (1) (20/1 -150%) Mizuma	20 20/1(-150%)	(1) Mizuma 20/1, Just bits and pieces of form when trained by Vincent Laurence Halley in Ireland. Handicap chase debut for new yard. 0-10 under rules in Ireland and was out of form in summer/autumn; stable debut.

LTO Selection:

TRAC left behind his Wetherby reappearance when bouncing back to finish runner-up at Sedgefield last month and the six-year-old, who was raised 1lb for that effort, has been found an excellent opportunity to get back to winning ways. Zara's Universe has been dropped 3lb by the handicapper and is capable of better, while any market support for Mizuma would make him of interest.

Not a deep race so a repeat of the level TRAC achieved when second at Sedgefield a month ago will probably see him go one place better. Onenightintown, a stablemate of the selection, may give him most to think about.

This uncompetitive opener provides a good opportunity for TRAC to win for the fourth time over fences.
