1st (2) (4/5 +47%)Marseillan |
4/5(+47%) | (2) Marseillan 4/5, Ideally positioned, improved a fraction in tongue-tie down in trip when second beaten 1/2l in a nursery at Chelmsford latest; blinkers first time; suited by 7f, acts on AW; has been steadily progressive. Placed in three of his four starts; sets a fair standard; blinkers replace cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (2/1 0%)Eternity's Sunrise |
2/1(0%) | (5) Eternity's Sunrise 2/1, Not best of runs, promising debut when third beaten 1 1/4l in a maiden at Wolverhampton debut; effective at 6f on AW; should improve upped in trip. Caught the eye when 3rd on his Wolverhampton debut last month; the longer trip should suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (5/1 +17%)Wind Summer |
5/1(+17%) | (4) Wind Summer 5/1, Had the run of the race and improved when second, beaten a neck, in a novice here last time. Cheekpieces tried for the first time. Bred for 7f and beyond and could progress further once handicapping. Beaten a neck in a slowly run race over 1m here a fortnight ago; cheekpieces on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (66/1 -100%)La Kosmos |
66/1(-100%) | (8) La Kosmos 66/1, Didn't find much when well beaten in a novice at Kempton on debut. By a sprinting sire out of a 12f-winning dam; should come on for that first outing. Well held on her Kempton debut; handicaps over further are likely to be her thing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (9/1 -29%)Sweep In Time |
9/1(-29%) | (10) Sweep In Time 9/1, Failed to get home again when beaten 7l in a maiden here last time. Hood applied for the first time. Yet to stay 8f though bred for middle distances; has a bit to prove after two ordinary efforts. Promise on her Kempton debut but pulled too hard here last time; hood on; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (150/1 -50%)Hove Ranger |
150/1(-50%) | (1) Hove Ranger 150/1, Showed a slightly better effort when not asked a serious question, finishing down the field in a novice at Kempton last time. Bred for 8f and beyond, and looks the type to do better once handicapping. Well beaten in novices at Newbury and Kempton; looks one for handicaps after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (66/1 -136%)Savvi Row |
66/1(-136%) | (7) Savvi Row 66/1, Stable won this race last year. Outpaced and produced only a moderate effort when well beaten in a novice at Kempton on debut. Drawn wide; by a sprinting sire but from a dam who stayed 12f, so may need more time. Beat one home on his Kempton debut; probably needs more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (33/1 +59%)High Boltage |
33/1(+59%) | (6) High Boltage 33/1, Showed improvement up in trip when beaten 9 1/2l in a novice at Kempton last time. Likely to prefer 7f or 8f and remains open to a little more progress. Little to shout about in his first two starts; modest handicaps beckon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (40/1 -233%)Poetic Grace |
40/1(-233%) | (9) Poetic Grace 40/1, Has yet to show any real signs of ability. Drawn wide and may need more time to develop. Well held in both starts, but she was well backed over C&D last time; watch the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (50/1 -257%)Ten Cuidado |
50/1(-257%) | (3) Ten Cuidado 50/1, Too free early and well beaten in a maiden at Wolverhampton last time. Drawn wide but effective at 7f on the all-weather; needs to settle to show his best. Ran well on penultimate start and may have had excuses last time; each-way claims. |

Having finished a close-up second on his nursery bow at Chelmsford recently, MARSEILLAN has plenty going for him reverting to novice company. Lemos De Souza's gelding should put his experience to good use and a breakthrough victory may beckon. Although Wind Summer is rated 5lb inferior to the selection, he should be in the mix once more. However, a bigger threat may emerge from Eternity's Sunrise, who was a promising third on debut at Wolverhampton last month.

The choice is MARSEILLAN who sets a fair standard following his narrow defeat on nursery debut at Chelmsford 13 days ago.

1st (1) (9/1 +44%)Happy And Fine |
9/1(+44%) | (1) Happy And Fine 9/1, Below form when fourth, beaten 34l, in a handicap chase at Chepstow last time; effective from 2m4f to 2m5f and suited by plenty of cut; form has tailed off this year. On dangerous mark but last win was two years ago and was tailed off last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (17/2 -21%)The Newest One |
17/2(-21%) | (4) The Newest One 17/2, Took a step back from his reappearance when pulled up in a handicap chase at Ascot last time; effective around 3m on a sound surface and currently in moderate form. Veteran who has lost his way and needs a major revival back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (13/2 +0%)Georges Saint |
13/2(+0%) | (5) Georges Saint 13/2, Below form when 20l third in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m and handles heavy or soft ground; better conditions here may help. Should benefit from his reappearance run and he's in the mix off a workable mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (11/2 +8%)Immortal Fame |
11/2(+8%) | (2) Immortal Fame 11/2, Back to form when fourth, beaten 9 1/2l, in a handicap chase at Lingfield last time; effective from 2m4f to 2m6f on decent ground; the step up in trip is not certain to suit. Only 1lb higher than for his last win and he could be dangerous on this return to 3m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (7/2 -5%)Kilbarry Hill |
7/2(-5%) | (3) Kilbarry Hill 7/2, Improved on chase debut 7 1/2l third in a handicap chase at Wetherby most recent run; usually held up; effective 2m4f-3m2f, acts on any; should come on again. Unexposed over fences and could be a big factor if he gets into a good jumping rhythm. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (7) (11/8 +73%)Catch Catchfire |
11/8(+73%) | (7) Catch Catchfire 11/8, Returned to form back chasing when beaten 10l in a handicap chase at Kelso last time; effective from 3m to 4m on soft or good ground; should cope well with the drop in trip. 2-5 over fences and he went close over hurdles here on his penultimate run; respected. |

CATCH CATCHFIRE fell over fences at Carlisle earlier in the year but Ian Williams gave him plenty of time to get over that mishap and he almost rewarded that patience when finishing half-a-length third on his comeback here over timber last month. A decent fifth in the Borders National at Kelso subsequently, he is taken to get back in the winning groove at the expense of Kilbarry Hill and Immortal Fame.

An open race in which the vote goes to CAPTAIN BOUDET, who is 2-5 over fences and was a clear second at Hereford three weeks ago.

1st (5) (16/1 -380%)Cryingintherain |
16/1(-380%) | (5) Cryingintherain 16/1, Improved on a modest debut when beaten 2 1/4l in a novice here last time. Effective at 5f on the all-weather but needs further progress. Out of the frame in her first two starts but probably has a bigger effort in her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (10/11 +48%)Hen Party |
10/11(+48%) | (6) Hen Party 10/11, Probably ran to form despite missing the break when second, beaten 1 1/4l in a novice here last time. Effective at 6/7f, likely to stay further; small but game and consistent performer on the all-weather. Clear of the third when second of five over C&D 16 days ago; sets a fair standard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (2/1 +40%)Wild Act |
2/1(+40%) | (3) Wild Act 2/1, Didn't settle and was well beaten in a maiden at Southwell on only start. Trainer in form and speedily bred; pulled chance away on debut but should do much better if settling with the drop in trip. 4l behind Alpine Culture when fifth on his Southwell debut; needs to settle better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (9/2 +47%)Grey Force |
9/2(+47%) | (2) Grey Force 9/2, 3 Feb; Blue Point colt; dam very smart at 5-7f, winning at Listed level; fails from a good yard and could easily have a say in this on debut. Market support would be significant as this doesn't look a deep race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (100/1 -400%)No Drama Mama |
100/1(-400%) | (7) No Drama Mama 100/1, Had a poor draw and was caught a long way back when beaten 7l in a novice at Southwell on debut. Hood applied for the first time; distances around 8f should suit this big filly who may need more time. Ninth on her Southwell debut; hood on, but stable may field a stronger candidate elsewhere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (50/1 +0%)Anaba Girl |
50/1(+0%) | (4) Anaba Girl 50/1, 1 May; Mayson filly; full-sister to Stone Soldier, smart at 7f; dam smart at 8f at 2yo; tough enough task on debut. Something to like on pedigree and market should be revealing. |

Alpine Culture displayed enough ability on his opening fourth at Southwell earlier this month to suggest that he can get involved at this level. A drop in distance could suit the son of Showcasing and he's not taken lightly, but HEN PARTY looks the one to beat. Ed Dunlop's filly has hit the frame on her last three outings and compensation could be imminent. Market support for newcomer Grey Force would be interesting.

The vote goes to HEN PARTY who sets a fair standard, especially on her second of five over C&D 16 days ago.

1st (1) (5/1 +33%)Argento Boy |
5/1(+33%) | (1) Argento Boy 5/1, Stable has won three of the last ten renewals; fell in a beginners' chase here last time when well fancied. Effective at 3m and handles yielding and heavy ground. Inconsistent over hurdles but likely to progress over fences. Looked vulnerable when falling four out in race in which Ballygunner Castle was second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (28/1 -12%)Pray Tell |
28/1(-12%) | (9) Pray Tell 28/1, Needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel last time. Grade 3 winner over hurdles. Returns from a short break and must bounce back switched to fences. 131-rated hurdler, latecomer to chasing, making debut on the eve of official 10th birthday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (66/1 -100%)Da Capo Glory |
66/1(-100%) | (4) Da Capo Glory 66/1, Pulled up in a beginners' chase here last time. Useful handicap hurdler at his best. Effective at around 2 1/2m and may need more time to develop over fences. Useful hurdler at his best, jumped badly and pulled up at this venue on chasing debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (33/1 -65%)Built By Ballymore |
33/1(-65%) | (3) Built By Ballymore 33/1, Down the field in a beginners' chase at Naas on his return from a long layoff. Effective around 2 1/2m and suited by soft ground. Longer trip could help; yet to match his useful hurdles form but likely to find his level in handicaps. Well held in three chase starts at up to 2m4f, plenty to prove, lacks a recent outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (33/1 +34%)My Trump Card |
33/1(+34%) | (8) My Trump Card 33/1, Stable won this race last year; outpaced and never threatened when well beaten in a beginners' chase at Navan last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m, and the step up in trip may help in time. 134-rated hurdler, not at the same level as a chaser, needs to brush up his jumping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (100/1 -52%)Hello Jack |
100/1(-52%) | (6) Hello Jack 100/1, Stable won this race last year; pulled up in a beginners' chase at Naas last time following a short break. Effective around 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Needs a drop in class. Placed over hurdles, struggled on chase debut at Galway, huge price when pulled up at Naas. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (40/1 -21%)Prophet's Corner |
40/1(-21%) | (10) Prophet's Corner 40/1, Never put into the race and comfortably held in a beginners' chase here last time. Effective around 3m and acts on soft ground; looks one for handicaps over fences. Four wins in points, course hurdles winner, tailed off here when Ballygunner Castle second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (9/1 +59%)Goraibhmaithagat |
9/1(+59%) | (5) Goraibhmaithagat 9/1, Outpaced and not given a hard race when well beaten in a beginners' chase at Fairyhouse last time. Likely to want at least 2 1/2m and should progress over fences when stepped up in trip and ridden more positively. Fair fifth on chasing debut, failed to build on that at Fairyhouse, may need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|B| (11) (6/5 -44%)Slade Steel |
6/5(-44%) | (11) Slade Steel 6/5, Improved back from a break under a positive ride when second, beaten 1 1/2l, in a beginners' chase at Navan last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m; a classy novice hurdler who won at the top level, not as fluent over fences but in form and should win soon. 2024 Supreme Novices winner, second all three starts over fences, should win if he stays. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (15/8 +25%)Ballygunner Castle |
15/8(+25%) | (2) Ballygunner Castle 15/8, Stable has won three of the last ten runnings; made a very promising debut when second, beaten 1 1/2l by a race-fit rival in a beginners' chase here last time. Effective from 2m to 3m and should improve with experience; likely to win soon over fences. Creditable second in an event in which Argento Boy fell, Paul Townend sticks with him.. |

BALLYGUNNER CASTLE was a useful novice hurdler and finished second to a promising type on his chase debut here earlier in the month. A lot of Willie Mullins' runners have been coming on for their their first run of the campaign and the Soldier Of Fortune gelding is likely to be hard to beat. Slade Steel won last year's Supreme Novices' Hurdle and has been runner-up on all three starts over fences. He was beaten by a Mullins-trained rival on his reappearance at Navan and steps up to 3m for the first time since winning a point-to-point. Argento Boy, another Mullins inmate, fell when favourite for the race in which the selection was second here and has to be respected.

A point winner at the outset of his career, the 2024 Supreme Novices' winner SLADE STEEL will be hard to beat if he stays

1st (3) (15/8 +0%)John Barbour |
15/8(+0%) | (3) John Barbour 15/8, Won by 3 1/4l off an 8lb lower mark here on his penultimate start; ran to form when second, beaten 3l off 118 last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good to soft and good; in form and remains competitive. C&D winner; another good run at Leicester last time on soft ground perhaps not ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (11/10 +37%)Woodland Park |
11/10(+37%) | (4) Woodland Park 11/10, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Leicester last time; effective from 2m to 2m5f and acts on soft and good to soft; consistent and should be thereabouts again. Has come up short in both his handicaps but ran well and should be bang there. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (5/1 +0%)Catch On Me |
5/1(+0%) | (7) Catch On Me 5/1, Ran to form when 16l third in a maiden hurdle at Leicester last time; effective at 2m and acts with cut; may ideally want this bit further but should go well. Beaten in two maidens for this yard but unexposed now handicapping back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (33/1 +18%)Menaggio |
33/1(+18%) | (5) Menaggio 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Kempton last time; visor fitted for the first time; trainer in form and the horse has been out of form for some time. Nothing to show for three runs for current yard and headgear would appear a cry for help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (20/1 -25%)Pyramid Place |
20/1(-25%) | (1) Pyramid Place 20/1, Too free when stepped up in trip and failed to stay, finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last time; off a short break; effective at 2 1/2m; out of form in 2025 over hurdles and best watched now chasing for a new yard. Perhaps didn't stay the 3m last time at Aintree but now has questions to answer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (10/1 +38%)Galassian |
10/1(+38%) | (6) Galassian 10/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Ffos Las last time; didn't take to chasing; returning from a long layoff and has a bit to find. Maiden hurdle winner; not the best of starts over fences last season (B7P); wind op since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (50/1 -150%)Prince Imperial |
50/1(-150%) | (2) Prince Imperial 50/1, Outpaced and disappointing on stable debut, finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last time; off a short break; suited by good ground but the handicapper may be catching up. Ex-Olly Murphy; 100-1 for a Cheltenham handicap on stable debut and ran accordingly. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (80/1 -186%)Rock On Cassie |
80/1(-186%) | (8) Rock On Cassie 80/1, Ran poorly when upped in class and well beaten in a beginners chase at Clonmel last time; fair mark on old Irish hurdle form; absent for a very lengthy period and bit to prove. Regressed for Gordon Elliott and makes stable debut after a mammoth absence. |

It might be worth chancing CATCH ON ME, a French recruit who is now sent handicapping for the first time by Venetia Williams following his latest Leicester third in a maiden hurdle. He could be well treated off 112 and prove too good for John Barbour, who has improved since entering the handicap ranks. Woodland Park is another to take seriously.

With JOHN BARBOUR and Woodland Park so closely matched it's hard to be confident about the outcome but they may dominate.

3/1(+73%) | (8) Indannya 3/1, Showed promise on rules debut when 3l third in a novice hurdle at Wincanton last time; effective at 2m5f on good to soft ground and has more to come. Promising third in sole point and was placed on hurdling debut at Wincanton; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/2 -100%)Fresh As A Daisy |
9/2(-100%) | (1) Fresh As A Daisy 9/2, Yard won this last year; too keen, bit below form under penalty dropped in trip when 8 1/4l third in a novice hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee most recent run; effective 2m-2m4f on Hy, G; should come on for reappearance. Uttoxeter winner (2m4f) and she could resume her progress on this step back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (9/2 -157%)Pismo Beach |
9/2(-157%) | (2) Pismo Beach 9/2, Returned to form appreciating a stiffer test when fourth, beaten 7l, in a Cheltenham handicap hurdle last time; usually held up, effective around 2m4f on good to soft or good ground, and still has potential. Ran well from out of weights in Class 2 handicap at Cheltenham; key player back in novice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (11/1 -47%)Country Mouse |
11/1(-47%) | (6) Country Mouse 11/1, Raced lazily and had too much to do when 10l third in a novice hurdle at Ludlow last time; effective from 2m to 2m5f and likely to appreciate the longer trip. Promising third at Ludlow (2m5f) two weeks ago and has claims if she can build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (9/1 -13%)Katie's Melody |
9/1(-13%) | (9) Katie's Melody 9/1, Modest debut when second, beaten 24l, in a novice hurdle at Exeter last time; effective from 2m to 3m, acts on soft or good ground, and could improve for her new yard over hurdles. Point/bumper winner who ran into a smart prospect on hurdling debut at Exeter; dangerous. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (50/1 +0%)Noble Grace |
50/1(+0%) | (11) Noble Grace 50/1, Ran to a similar level as on debut when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Southwell last time; trainer in form, effective at 2m on good ground, and looks the type to do better when handicapping. Went close in sole bumper but she's been well held in both hurdle runs this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (25/1 -56%)Camshaft |
25/1(-56%) | (4) Camshaft 25/1, 24,000 euros Shirocco filly; dam a point winner and sister to the useful hurdler Thebarrowman; respected on debut for a good yard. 24,000euros 3yo; yard is in good form and she needs watching in market on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

11/2(+35%) | (5) Coolkatie 11/2, Some promise on debut when 17l fourth in a novice hurdle at Lingfield first-time out; effective at 2m on GS; should improve upped in trip. Never involved on Lingfield debut but she's a possible improver on this step up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (28/1 -100%)Ballynorth |
28/1(-100%) | (3) Ballynorth 28/1, Green and made mistakes, finishing tired when 18l third in a novice hurdle at Fontwell last time; effective over 3m in points and, having been well fancied on debut, should progress. Disappointing on hurdling debut at Fontwell but that was on heavy ground after an absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (250/1 -213%)Flight Of Fable |
250/1(-213%) | (7) Flight Of Fable 250/1, Again ran to only a moderate level when finishing down the field in a mares' bumper here last time; faces a difficult task. Big prices and finished tailed off in two bumpers; best watched on hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (250/1 -150%)Rose Of The Shires |
250/1(-150%) | (13) Rose Of The Shires 250/1, Poor rules debut when finishing down the field in a novice hurdle at Huntingdon last time; cheekpieces on for the first time and best watched for now over hurdles. Has struggled in a bumper and a novice hurdle; cheekpices are now added at this new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (12) (300/1 -200%)One Cool Mix |
300/1(-200%) | (12) One Cool Mix 300/1, Poor debut, well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon on only start; difficult to make a case for. Struggled at a massive price on this month's debut at Huntingdon (2m4f, soft). |

Competitive stuff and just a tentative vote is for FRESH AS A DAISY representing the powerful Nicky Henderson yard. She won on her hurdling bow at Uttoxeter and can leave behind a mediocre Bangor performance now going back up in trip on better ground. Pismo Beach, Country Mouse and point-to-point/bumper scorer Katie's Melody are others to keep a close eye on.

Several have claims but PISMO BEACH sets the standard and she gets the vote ahead of Fresh As A Daisy and Katie's Melody.

6/1(-50%) | (3) Up The Agenda 6/1, Used tactical speed to advantage and probably improved a fraction in landing a handicap by 3/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Newcastle last time; effective at 6/7f, acts on GS, GF and AW; versatile, on an upward curve. 3-4 in nurseries, the last two wins at Newcastle; this is a totally different type of test. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (14/1 -56%)Alasrae |
14/1(-56%) | (4) Alasrae 14/1, Faded really badly for no obvious reason when beaten 6 1/4l in a nursery at Southwell last time; in good form prior; effective 5/6f, acts on sound surface; usually consistent but bit to prove after latest. Looked a bit unfortunate at Kempton on penultimate start, but ran poorly last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (13/2 +19%)Mighty Vega |
13/2(+19%) | (6) Mighty Vega 13/2, Just about stayed up in trip when beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Kempton last time; effective at 6f, only just gets 7f, acts on AW; useful mark still. Won over 6f at Kempton, but didn't stay 7f there last time; each-way claims back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (66/1 -100%)Fermain |
66/1(-100%) | (5) Fermain 66/1, Mark probably too stiff beaten 5l in a nursery here last time; effective at 5/6f, acts on AW; badly handicapped. Has failed to beat a rival in last two starts, the latest over C&D; best watched for now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (20/1 -264%)Guernsey Lady |
20/1(-264%) | (7) Guernsey Lady 20/1, Bit too free but ran to form when fourth beaten 4l in a nursery at Chelmsford latest; visor first time; off a short-break; effective 5/6f, acts on a sound surface; mark quite competitive. Relatively exposed and needs to improve for the visor back from three months off. |

Up The Agenda continued his upward trajectory when completing a double at Newcastle 18 days ago and a 4lb higher mark is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. However, LORD HARCOURT's breakthrough victory over C&D earlier this month could prove to be stronger form, with the third subsequently scoring on Boxing Day. Ed Walker's inmate is slightly more compelling and further glory may be imminent. Reopposing runner-up Akabusi must also enter calculations.

Just a head separated LORD HARCOURT (nap) and Akabusi over C&D last time, but the less exposed winner is taken to score again.

1st (12) (3/1 +33%)Sammy Smart |
3/1(+33%) | (12) Sammy Smart 3/1, Forced to switch and had too much to do behind a well-handicapped, race-fit rival when beaten 1½l off a 6lb lower mark at Thurles last time. Effective 3m and acts on good ground; latest form strong and hurdles mark looks generous. Clear of the third when second to a well-handicapped horse on seasonal debut, good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (14) (7/1 +22%)Three In A Row |
7/1(+22%) | (14) Three In A Row 7/1, Travelled but failed to find much when well beaten in a handicap chase at Clonmel latest. Effective 2½m and suited by cut though inconsistent overall. Beaten 7l in fourth behind the same owner's Crecora Hills at Naas, out of the money since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (4/1 -60%)Crecora Hills |
4/1(-60%) | (5) Crecora Hills 4/1, Travelled strongly and did it easily when improving up in trip back from a break to land a Naas handicap by 5l off an 11lb lower mark. Effective over 2½m and acts with cut; progressing and may have more to offer at middle to staying trips. Winning favourite at Naas on seasonal debut, fair chance of defying 11lb rise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (4/1 +33%)Big Stage |
4/1(+33%) | (6) Big Stage 4/1, Forced to switch and ran to current form down in trip on ground more testing than ideal when fourth, beaten 14l, in a Navan handicap chase latest. Effective 2–2½m and suited by decent ground; inconsistent but fairly treated on best spring form and yard flying. Now 0-11 over fences after Navan fourth, stable's brilliant form is the main positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (8/1 +0%)Casey West |
8/1(+0%) | (10) Casey West 8/1, Returned to form in first-time cheekpieces on easy ground when beaten 3l off a 2lb lower mark at Fairyhouse last time. Effective 2½m and best with cut; not one to rely on for back-to-back efforts. Hunter chase winner, comes into reckoning following an improved display at Fairyhouse. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (12/1 -60%)Born Braver |
12/1(-60%) | (1) Born Braver 12/1, Never put into the race and found the ground too testing when down the field in a beginners' chase at Navan last time. Effective over 2½–3m and looks one for handicaps over fences off what looks generous mark based on hurdle form. Hard to assess on form in beginners' chases, may now find his level in handicap company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (16/1 +20%)Dont Tell Jack |
16/1(+20%) | (7) Dont Tell Jack 16/1, Never competitive after being badly hampered early when down the field in a beginners' chase at Navan most recent. Effective 2½m and looks one for staying handicaps over fences but threat if getting stiff test. Weak form in two races over fences, owner seems to have two others with a better chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (16) (50/1 -52%)North Of Nashville |
50/1(-52%) | (16) North Of Nashville 50/1, Modest effort when 9l third in a mares' race at Lisronagh most recent start. Off a short break and needs to prove ability remains after lay off. Won over 3m1f in 2023, ran only once last year, should be better for a point-to-point run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (25/1 +0%)Attaboyarchie |
25/1(+0%) | (11) Attaboyarchie 25/1, Unseated in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse latest just before race developed. Effective 2½m and can do better based on previous hurdle form. 22-race maiden, limited chasing experience, nothing to suggest a breakthrough is imminent. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (15) (28/1 +15%)Bocelli's Voice |
28/1(+15%) | (15) Bocelli's Voice 28/1, Made mistakes and below form when well beaten in a handicap chase at Thurles latest. Off a short break; effective 2½m though form trending the wrong way. Won a beginners' chase at Wexford in 2024, mostly ordinary form since then, up against it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (50/1 -52%)Walnut Beach |
50/1(-52%) | (2) Walnut Beach 50/1, Did plenty early on ground a bit more testing than ideal when well beaten in a handicap chase here latest. Effective 2–2½m but inconsistent. Soundly beaten in two runs over fences this season, down 11lb from career-high mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (25/1 -150%)Fenway Park |
25/1(-150%) | (8) Fenway Park 25/1, Outpaced, needed the run and not knocked about when well beaten in a beginners' chase at Naas latest. Blinkers first time; usually held up; effective 2½m and acts on good ground; yet to match hurdle form and probably one for handicaps. Course winner over hurdles, modest chase form, handicap debut off 12lb below hurdles mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (14/1 +44%)Silver King |
14/1(+44%) | (13) Silver King 14/1, Fell in a handicap chase at Wexford latest after a short break. Effective 2–2½m but out of form this year and may still need this run. Sole win over hurdles was at this venue in January 2024, otherwise hard to make a case. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (4) (28/1 -40%)Hardwired |
28/1(-40%) | (4) Hardwired 28/1, Made a bit too much use of when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Kilbeggan last time. Effective 2–3m and acts on good ground but best with some cut; unreliable though fairly treated on best form. Three-time course winner, latest win was here in June, next run may have come too soon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (9) (18/1 +18%)Don't Talk |
18/1(+18%) | (9) Don't Talk 18/1, Made too much use of and needed the run when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Cork most recent. Effective 2–2½m and acts on heavy and good ground; fair mark on chase form but unreliable. Gained back-to-back wins in January; huge improvement needed from a Cork hurdles outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (3) (28/1 -40%)Noble Talent |
28/1(-40%) | (3) Noble Talent 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Gowran Park latest after a short break. Effective over 2½m and acts on soft and good ground, though form remains in and out. Poor fifth in this race last year, pulled up in his last two races, hard to be confident. |

A course winner over hurdles, SAMMY SMART was a fine second on his handicap chase debut at Thurles last month. The winner followed up on his next outing and is now rated 30lb higher than when the selection came up against him. Trainer Tom Gibney has had a couple of horses run well in recent days and the Kalanisi gelding looks set to go close under his capable 5lb claimer. Crecora Hills had Three In A Row back in fourth when a well-backed winner at Naas and may be progressive enough to confirm that form despite a 12lb swing in the weights. Casey West bounced back to form when second at Fairyhouse and has to enter calculations as well.

This looks like a fine opportunity for SAMMY SMART (nap) who ran up against a well-treated opponent at Thurles in his first handicap

11/4(+66%) | (11) Bollin Thou 11/4, Returned to form when fourth, beaten 13l, in a handicap hurdle at Exeter last time. Should be effective from 2m to 2m4f but needs more to get off the mark. Latest fourth of seven at Exeter was encouraging and he has scope for improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (9/2 -64%)Glengolly |
9/2(-64%) | (7) Glengolly 9/2, Won easily, improving on his second start after a wind operation when landing a handicap by 7½l off a 7lb lower mark at Hereford last time. Trainer in form; effective from 2m4f to 2m7f on soft or good to soft ground and back in form after the wind operation. Won easily in the new tongue-tie at Hereford and he looks to have turned a corner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 -14%)La Higuera |
4/1(-14%) | (4) La Higuera 4/1, Ran to form when beaten 4l by a progressive rival who got first run off a 1lb lower mark at Haydock last time. Effective from 2m3f to 3m on soft or good ground and could have more to offer in handicaps. Good run at Haydock last time behind an Irish raider who was ahead of his mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (9/1 +10%)Donttellyamumjack |
9/1(+10%) | (10) Donttellyamumjack 9/1, Showed small improvement when third, beaten 30l, in a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen most recently. Effective from 2m to 2m5f on good to soft ground, and longer trips could suit now handicapping. Could take a big step forward now up in trip off a lowly mark on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (8/1 +20%)Sandscape |
8/1(+20%) | (3) Sandscape 8/1, Possibly outstayed late by unexposed rivals when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last time. Effective from 2m4f to 2m7f on good ground and arrives in good form. Still a maiden but has run well enough in handicaps to believe he'll have his day. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (28/1 +15%)Hobb's Delight |
28/1(+15%) | (6) Hobb's Delight 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Wincanton last time; wears a visor for the first time. Usually held up but form has tailed off slightly over fences recently. Potentially on a good mark for this return to hurdles and a visor is tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (28/1 -100%)Coventry |
28/1(-100%) | (9) Coventry 28/1, Made mistakes and may have run again too soon when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Hexham last time. Effective from 2½m to 3m. A tricky ride and not one to rely on to build on his recent revival. Won an Irish maiden hurdle in 2021; beaten in loads of handicaps and now 1-39 overall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (33/1 -83%)Shesupincourt |
33/1(-83%) | (12) Shesupincourt 33/1, From a yard that won this race last year. Had every chance but finished below form when fourth, beaten 31l, in a handicap hurdle at Leicester last time. Effective from 2½m to 3m on any ground but yet to fire since returning from a break this autumn. Fairly treated on winning form over hurdles/fences but not in great form recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (40/1 +39%)Elfride |
40/1(+39%) | (13) Elfride 40/1, Found little when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Exeter last time. Effective around 2m4f on soft ground but appears regressive. The defeats have racked up since winning over C&D in May 2023; hasn't been running well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (18/1 -29%)Kauto D'amour |
18/1(-29%) | (8) Kauto D'amour 18/1, Made mistakes and found little when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Catterick most recently. Was in good form beforehand. Effective at 3m on good to soft or good ground. Well treated on old form but on a long losing run. Without a win since March 2021 and into veteran stage; tailed off at Catterick recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (6/1 +0%)Superior Glance |
6/1(+0%) | (5) Superior Glance 6/1, Quickened clear but was caught late by race-fit rivals, possibly going for home too soon, when beaten 2l off a 1lb lower mark at Hexham last time. Effective at 3m and prefers soft ground. Running into form and should come on for the latest run. Has very low mileage for 10yo and was only 2l away under a positive ride at Hexham latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (8/1 -33%)Farmer Jimmy |
8/1(-33%) | (2) Farmer Jimmy 8/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 5¼l, in a handicap hurdle at Catterick last time. Effective from 2½m to 3m on soft or good ground. Consistent and should remain competitive. Hasn't had a lot of racing and thereabouts in 3m/3m1f handicaps on last two outings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (80/1 -60%)Itsnoteasy |
80/1(-60%) | (1) Itsnoteasy 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time; wears blinkers for the first time. Effective at around 2½m and handles soft ground. Likes the track but still needs to show ability remains after an absence. Signed off for Olly Murphy on a downer and no sign of a revival on stable debut last month. |

Bollin Thou might represent a bit of each-way value with Sean Bowen in the plate, while chances are also given to La Higuera and Farmer Jimmy. However, the verdict is for GLENGOLLY. He wasn't without his supporters when coming good at Hereford recently and the gut feeling is there is a lot more to come from the six-year-old. Gavin Sheehan is back in the saddle and a bold showing looks assured.

The horse who beat LA HIGUERA (nap) at Haydock was third in a big field at Leopardstown on Sunday, so that looks strong form.

10/3(+44%) | (7) Following Chapter 10/3, Outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test when fourth, beaten 22l, in a handicap hurdle at Hereford last time. Returns from a short break; effective at 2m and handles cut; could improve for this longer trip. Unexposed 4yo and he looks interesting back up in trip in only his second handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 +11%)Madajovy |
4/1(+11%) | (2) Madajovy 4/1, Again ran to a modest level when well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Southwell last time. Effective at around 2m on a sound surface; represents a good yard and could improve now switching to handicaps. Unexposed 5yo and he's a possible improver on handicap debut; needs close look. |

25/1(+0%) | (6) Katira Du Mestivel 25/1, Again ran to a moderate level when comfortably held in a Southwell handicap hurdle last time. Effective at about 2m3f on soft ground but needs to bounce back to form. No progress over hurdles and she's struggled in both handicaps; plenty to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (9/1 +25%)Luwdvig |
9/1(+25%) | (1) Luwdvig 9/1, Another positive effort upped in trip when third in a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon most recent run; trainer in form; effective at 2m-2m5f, acts on S, G; more to come now handicapping. Encouraging third at Huntingdon and he needs watching in market on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (15/2 +25%)A Good Yomp |
15/2(+25%) | (3) A Good Yomp 15/2, Improved to get off the mark in a hood when landing a handicap by a head off a 5lb lower mark at Huntingdon last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (8/1 -60%)Wistmans Prince |
8/1(-60%) | (11) Wistmans Prince 8/1, Improved when fourth beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap hurdle at Hereford latest; effective up to 2m4f, acts on G; more to come. 5yo who was clear when falling at the last at Hereford on his penultimate run; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (33/1 +0%)Wednesday Addams |
33/1(+0%) | (8) Wednesday Addams 33/1, Stopped quickly in first-time blinkers when pulled up in a Hereford handicap hurdle last time. Effective at 2m4f and handles softer ground, but currently out of form. Point winner but she's 0-11 under rules and has been pulled up in last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (28/1 -331%)Meraki Mist |
28/1(-331%) | (10) Meraki Mist 28/1, Too keen and needed the run when comfortably held in a Doncaster handicap hurdle last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f on any going; appears on a workable mark and had been in good form before that run. Inconsistent nine-race maiden and was tailed off at Doncaster 19 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (16/1 -100%)Local Derby |
16/1(-100%) | (5) Local Derby 16/1, No-show from off the pace well beaten in a maiden hurdle here latest; effective at 3m in points, acts on G; type to do better handicapping. Has struggled in three hurdle runs and needs a transformation on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (11/1 -175%)Arctic Saint |
11/1(-175%) | (9) Arctic Saint 11/1, Bit free, ran to form when fourth beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap hurdle at Leicester latest; effective 2m4f, acts on S, GS; consistent hurdler. Fair fourth at Leicester last month but he's now 0-10 over hurdles; down the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (4) (15/2 +25%)Don't Tell Rosie |
15/2(+25%) | (4) Don't Tell Rosie 15/2, Outpaced early, returned to form but appeared unsuited by drop in trip in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow last time; effective 2m4f on a sound surface; good mark on spring form, could build on latest stepped up in trip. Inconsistent eight-race maiden and she needs to get back near best. |

It will be interesting if there is money for Madajovy given his connections and now he goes up in trip for his handicap bow. Huntingdon winner A Good Yomp is another to bear in mind, but the verdict is for WISTMANS PRINCE. He stepped up courtesy of an improved Hereford fourth last time out and this could be the time to catch him.

This looks tricky but it might be worth sticking with A GOOD YOMP, who got off the mark with a brave win at Huntingdon last month.

11/4(+17%) | (2) Baldomero 11/4, Strong at finish, back to best landing a Sprint Handicap by 1 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark at Wolverhampton last time; suited by 5/6f, acts on Hy, G and AW; more needed up again in weights. Has something to prove over this sharper 5f and is 0-28 off marks in the 90s. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (85/40 -31%)Clearpoint |
85/40(-31%) | (1) Clearpoint 85/40, Improved again when landing a handicap by a length off a 4lb lower mark at Wolverhampton last time; enjoys racing prominently; off a short break; effective over 5f or 6f, probably acts on any surface; in fine form and respected bidding for a four-timer. Dual C&D winner who bids for a four-timer from a 4lb higher mark; much respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/2 +42%)Fidelius |
7/2(+42%) | (4) Fidelius 7/2, Scored by a length off a 4lb lower mark at Newcastle penultimate start; ran to form last time; enjoys making it; suited by 5f, acts on GS, GF and AW; can go well again. Ridden aggressively for all four wins, but being able to dominate here seems unlikely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (4/1 -14%)Almaty Star |
4/1(-14%) | (5) Almaty Star 4/1, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off a 1lb lower mark at Chelmsford last time; suited by 5f and acts on a sound surface; in much better form of late. C&D winner and usually a front-runner; 4lb lower than when last successful; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (17/2 -6%)Twilight Jet |
17/2(-6%) | (3) Twilight Jet 17/2, Ran to form in reapplied visor when beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Kempton last time; effective at 5f or 6f and acts on any surface; on a fair mark if able to build on that latest effort. Continues to slide down the weights but losing run now 18 and this test could be too sharp. |

CLEARPOINT has proved a revelation since being ridden more positively and a four-timer could be on the cards. The five-year-old is only 4lb higher than his latest triumph at Wolverhampton and may still be a step ahead of the assessor. Baldomero has scored on two of his last three outings and is likely to be in the thick of the action once more, with Almaty Star the pick of the remainder.

The choice is dual C&D winner CLEARPOINT who often likes to get on with it, but has shown that he doesn't need to lead in order to win.

Probably does not need to improve much from Fairyhouse and and Navan run to score here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (250/1 -400%)Folk Warrior |
250/1(-400%) | (3) Folk Warrior 250/1, Made mistakes and showed modest form on debut when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse; off a short break and showed little on the flat, so best watched for now over hurdles. No sign of ability on the Flat, towards the rear at Fairyhouse on hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (40/1 +0%)Blue Moon Boy |
40/1(+0%) | (1) Blue Moon Boy 40/1, Below form when stepping up in class and finishing down the field in a handicap at Galway last time; progressive on flat previously; returns from a short break and market can guide on hurdle debut. Two Flat wins, rated 76 at season's end, could feature with a clean round of jumping.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (20/1 +0%)Direct Approach |
20/1(+0%) | (2) Direct Approach 20/1, From a yard that has won two of the last five runnings; ran to form when second, beaten 6l, in a maiden at Gowran Park latest; consistent on the flat; returns from a break and best watched on hurdle debut. Best watched in a race in which stablemates Wackestone and Immediate Effect are preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (200/1 -100%)Stone Rulya |
200/1(-100%) | (10) Stone Rulya 200/1, Outpaced but ran to form when beaten 7l in a claimer at Dundalk last time; off a short break and hard to recommend. Not a likely debut winner over hurdles on the evidence of four Flat starts for Ger Lyons. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (150/1 -50%)Padre Bay |
150/1(-50%) | (8) Padre Bay 150/1, Keen and made mistakes when well beaten on debut in a maiden hurdle at Limerick latest; plenty to prove over hurdles. Weak form on Flat, jumping was untidy when tailed off on hurdling debut at Limerick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (13) (200/1 -60%)Real Petite |
200/1(-60%) | (13) Real Petite 200/1, Every chance and ran to form when well beaten in a juvenile hurdle here last time; off a short break; effective from 8-12f but yet to match her winter all-weather maiden form on the flat; bit to prove over hurdles. Weak form on the Flat, the same in her first three starts over hurdles, can be ruled out.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (5) (250/1 -150%)John Dixen |
250/1(-150%) | (5) John Dixen 250/1, Made mistakes and was hampered when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse last time; may need more time. Has shown next to nothing in two Fairyhouse runs, badly hampered four out last time. |

SARATOGA is a fascinating jumping debutant for Padraig Roche. The son of Camelot was decent on the Flat for Aidan O'Brien and, given that he won a handicap over an extended 1m6f on testing ground at Listowel, he could have plenty to offer in this discipline. Mino Des Mottes looks an obvious contender on Irish debut for Willie Mullins. He was a handy winner on the Flat in July in his native France and is sure to be well schooled for his jumping debut. He looks the sort of recruit the champion trainer does so well with. Wackestone has improved on each of his three runs over hurdles and is likely to be in the thick of the action.

From the stable that dominated Ireland's Christmas schedule, WACKESTONE gets the vote to make his hurdling experience count

1st (4) (1/1 +43%)Lon Chaney |
1/1(+43%) | (4) Lon Chaney 1/1, Improved from debut when second, beaten 5 1/2l in a novice hurdle at Leicester last time. Effective at around 2m4f and handles soft ground. Should improve for the step up in trip and is respected. Promise on both hurdle starts and the step up in trip may help; he's one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/5 -47%)Inishcorker |
11/5(-47%) | (3) Inishcorker 11/5, The yard won this race last year. Improved under a positive ride when 7 1/2l third in a maiden hurdle at Haydock last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and handles soft and good to soft. Improving under rules and should remain competitive. Runner-up at Ffos Las; failed to build on that at Haydock but still firmly in calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (4/1 -60%)Firm But Fair |
4/1(-60%) | (5) Firm But Fair 4/1, Made a very promising debut when second, beaten 7 1/2l in a novice hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Effective over 3m and should be capable of winning a maiden soon. Runner-up on hurdle debut at Bangor and he's in good hands to improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (12/1 +25%)Arctic Conditions |
12/1(+25%) | (1) Arctic Conditions 12/1, Improved up in trip and wasn't given a hard time late after the rider dropped the whip when 18l third in a novice hurdle at Chepstow last time. Trainer in form. Yet to find ideal conditions but may do better in handicaps in time. Has shown ability but he'll probably be of greater interest when tackling handicaps. |

INISHCORKER was well fancied for a maiden hurdle at Haydock last time out and could only manage third, but this doesn't look as competitive and Rebecca Curtis' charge is well worth another chance. The point-to-point winner gets the nod ahead of Lon Chaney, who finished second at Leicester and should be improving. Firm But Fair is best of the rest.

Preference is for INISHCORKER. He was a tad underwhelming at Haydock but holds leading claims nevertheless.

6/1(+70%) | (2) Roger Rarebit 6/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Kelso last time when returning from a long layoff; effective up to 3m on soft and good; needs to bounce back. Has patchy record over fences and he comes risks attached after another break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (13/2 -44%)Koenigsstern |
13/2(-44%) | (3) Koenigsstern 13/2, Returned to form, just tiring late back from lay off 15l third in a handicap chase at Fontwell most recent run; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on G, best with cut; back down to workable mark. Won at Fontwell last December but he's not gone on from that and others are preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (20/1 -82%)Rathmacknee |
20/1(-82%) | (8) Rathmacknee 20/1, Again below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Stratford last time; off a short break; best around 2m on a sound surface; stamina remains a concern. Last win was three years ago and he's 0-6 over fences; down the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (4/1 -20%)Bobbi's Beauty |
4/1(-20%) | (5) Bobbi's Beauty 4/1, A bit keen but ran to form when beaten 2l off this mark at Lingfield last time; effective from 2m to 2m4f, handles any going; capable off this mark if settling. 3-9 over fences and was close fourth at Lingfield last time; respected back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (18/1 -125%)Pescatorius |
18/1(-125%) | (7) Pescatorius 18/1, Travelled, improved again in landing a handicap by 14l off a 9lb lower mark at Market Rasen last time; effective 2m4f-3m2f, acts on GS, GF; up 9lb for new yard but on a roll. Hat-trick seeker who won by 14l at Market Rasen last time; big player again for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (9/5 +49%)Cornish Comedy |
9/5(+49%) | (9) Cornish Comedy 9/5, Ran to form when appreciating a step up in trip on chase debut, doing best of those forcing a strong pace when second, beaten 6l, in a handicap chase at Hereford last time; effective at 2m4f on a sound surface; can do better if ridden with more restraint. Made a promising start over fences when clear second at Hereford; respected up 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (7/2 +56%)Northern Air |
7/2(+56%) | (1) Northern Air 7/2, Outpaced and failed to build on her reappearance when fourth, beaten 30l, in a handicap chase at Sandown last time; cheekpieces on for the first time; effective at 2m, acts on soft and good to soft, yet to match her hurdle form. Unexposed chaser and she's a possible improver with cheekpieces added; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (80/1 -471%)Almeirinda |
80/1(-471%) | (6) Almeirinda 80/1, Again ran to a moderate level when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Leicester last time; has a bit to find; effective at 2m3f on very soft ground; ex-French runner who looks in need of more time. Unexposed 6yo but she needs a transformation on this switch to chasing. |

Having romped home when completing a double at Market Rasen last month, Pescatorius merits respect in his hat-trick bid. However, a 9lb hike from the assessor could leave the six-year-old vulnerable and it may pay to look elsewhere on his stable debut. NORTHERN AIR has proved expensive to follow in two outings for Dan Skelton, but she lurks on a dangerous mark and the introduction of cheekpieces could prove fruitful. Fontwell third Koenigsstern is next best.

Preference is for the hat-trick seeking PESCATORIUS, who had plenty in hand last time and is open to more progress for his new yard.

1st (5) (7/2 +22%)Nebras |
7/2(+22%) | (5) Nebras 7/2, Made the running and improved to win a handicap at Newcastle by a head last time; effective from 8f to 10f and handles the all-weather; back in form but needs to find more at this level. This is tougher than the handicap he made all in last time, but he remains unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/8 -79%)Tyrrhenian Sea |
13/8(-79%) | (4) Tyrrhenian Sea 13/8, Returned to form when 3 1/4l third in the Hyde Stakes (Listed) at Kempton on his latest run; trainer in good form; effective from 8f to 10f, all form on all-weather; dual Listed winner on this surface, including of this race two years ago, and he should go well. Won this in 2023 and second last year; should be all the better for last month's return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (6/1 +40%)Duke's Command |
6/1(+40%) | (1) Duke's Command 6/1, Improved in trip, scored with bit in hand when winning a handicap here by a length last time; effective 8-10f, best of sound surface; more to come at this distance. Won a handicap over C&D last time, but that was off a mark of 92; this is a tougher test. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (13/2 -44%)Torito |
13/2(-44%) | (3) Torito 13/2, Bit below best down in trip beaten 7l in Hyde Stakes (Listed) at Kempton last time; suited by 10f, acts on any; temperament a slight worry, bounce back needed. Lightly raced since winning twice as a 3yo; behind Tyrrhenian Sea at Kempton last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (9/4 +63%)Military Academy |
9/4(+63%) | (2) Military Academy 9/4, Again well below form tried in blinkers comfortably held in St Simon Stakes (Group 3) at Newbury last time; visor first time; off a short-break; suited by 1m4f, best with some give; something to prove at present. Good form in two AW starts for the Gosdens; watch market on stable debut; visor on. |

Last-time-out winners Nebras and Duke's Command merit respect in their current fettle, but the ratings suggest that improvement will be needed on this step into Listed company. With that in mind, the 108-rated TYRRHENIAN SEA could be the way to go. Roger Varian's veteran arrives on the back of a good third over 1m at Kempton and he looks ready for a return to this trip.

It's hard to get away from TYRRHENIAN SEA who won this race in 2023 and finished second last year.

1st (5) (6/4 -25%)El Fabiolo |
6/4(-25%) | (5) El Fabiolo 6/4, Winner of four Grade 1s and from a yard that has won three of the last five renewals. Fell in the Champion Chase (Grade 1) here last time when looked huge threat; top class chaser has had jumping issues in that sphere; effective 2m but will go close if stamina holds up A superb 2m novice chaser at his peak, plagued by jumping frailties, this test could suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (8/1 +43%)Glen Kiln |
8/1(+43%) | (3) Glen Kiln 8/1, Unseated rider in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle (Grade 1) at Fairyhouse last time. Likes to make the running and is effective between 2m and 2 1/2m; progressive type but bit to find in hot contest. Odds-on C&D winner in October, set tough tasks in two Grade 1s, place chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (4/1 0%)Spillane's Tower |
4/1(0%) | (7) Spillane's Tower 4/1, Dual Grade 1 winner; finished down the field in the Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle (Listed) at Naas last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and suited by softer ground; expected to come on for that run after a short break and well treated on these terms on chase form. High-class chaser, didn't exploit 33lb lower hurdles mark in a handicap at Naas last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (25/1 +24%)Shoot First |
25/1(+24%) | (6) Shoot First 25/1, Outpaced and never really involved when 19l third in a Conditions Hurdle at Clonmel last time. Trainer in form; usually held up and effective up to 3m on heavy or good ground; back on a workable mark but vulnerable in this class. Out of form since landing a staying handicap at Haydock 13 months ago, unlikely to feature. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (33/1 -136%)Lantry Lady |
33/1(-136%) | (8) Lantry Lady 33/1, From a yard that won this race last year. Made mistakes and was outpaced when comfortably held in a beginners' chase at Gowran Park last time. A Grade 3 winner over hurdles who enjoys cut. Returns from a short break and may appreciate further in time. Won a 2m Grade 3 over 2m at Gowran in February 2024, needs to find her form again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (18/5 -44%)Ballyadam |
18/5(-44%) | (2) Ballyadam 18/5, Won this race last year. Showed promise when 3l third in a maiden at Dundalk on latest flat start. Best around 2 1/2m and a consistent veteran hurdler who placed in Coral Cup in spring; big player Smart hurdler, three wins and twice placed in the Coral Cup, has warmed up with an AW run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (20/1 +39%)Ain't Got Wings |
20/1(+39%) | (1) Ain't Got Wings 20/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 16l in a Listed chase at Auteuil last time. Listed winner over fences in France. Returning from a long layoff. Yard does well with similar types but likely to need this. Five wins in France, faces a big task at these weights and lacks a recent outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (150/1 -127%)Bring On The Night |
150/1(-127%) | (4) Bring On The Night 150/1, Badly hampered and below form when well held in a handicap at Ascot last time. Formerly very useful novice hurdler. Strong in the betting despite a lengthy absence but remains hard to recommend. Two Flat wins in 2020 for Andre Fabre; highly tried by Willie Mullins, off since June 2023. |

EL FABIOLO, who has so much class, has to be given maximum respect back over the smaller obstacles. He's returning to action having fallen in three of his last four high-class chases and should enjoy this assignment. He's two from three at Punchestown including in a novice hurdle. Ballyadam placed in the last two renewals of the Coral Cup at Cheltenham and looks a big player in his bid for back-to-back victories. Glen Kiln is another who commands respect, while Martin Brassil's French-import Ain't Got Wings is worth a market check. Spillane's Tower should come on from an unplaced effort on seasonal reappearance in Naas.

A satisfactory run on the AW at Dundalk should have helped to sharpen BALLYADAM for his bid to repeat last year's win in this event

11/4(+45%) | (9) Postponed Legacy 11/4, Raced a bit freely but returned to form when landing a handicap by a neck off a 5lb lower mark at Doncaster last time. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Could have a bit more to offer now that he has got his head in front. Doncaster winner (up 5lb since) last time and Harry Atkins now takes off 7lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/1 +20%)Kenzoko |
4/1(+20%) | (2) Kenzoko 4/1, From the same yard that won this race last year; outpaced but improved on his final qualifying run when comfortably held in a novice hurdle here last time. Likely to appreciate further than 2m and looks the type to progress in handicaps off a fair opening mark. Modest so far but makes handicap debut with Sean Bowen riding for the first time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (11/2 -57%)Eric Carmen |
11/2(-57%) | (7) Eric Carmen 11/2, Won cosily when stepped up in trip, landing a handicap by 11l off a 13lb lower mark here last time. Trainer in form, enjoys making the running, and handles any ground. Inconsistent and faces a tougher task off this revised mark but dangerous if allowed to dictate. Inconsistent and the ground was heavy when he made all here 12 days ago over 2m4f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (10/1 +29%)Kally Des Bruyeres |
10/1(+29%) | (5) Kally Des Bruyeres 10/1, Fell in a handicap hurdle at Southwell last time when going well. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground. Not the most reliable type to build on that effort. Solid fourth of 13 in 2m4f Huntingdon handicap before falling midrace at Southwell. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (25/1 -456%)Sophie Power |
25/1(-456%) | (3) Sophie Power 25/1, Improved to land a handicap by a nose off a 3lb lower mark at Leicester last time. Effective at 2m and handles ground with cut. Latest win had a few knocks, so will need to find a bit more. Only 3lb higher than for her Leicester win and Sam Twiston-Davies rides again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (13/2 +19%)Churchman |
13/2(+19%) | (10) Churchman 13/2, Ran to form when tiring late on his return from a break, finishing 15l third in a handicap hurdle at Ludlow last time. Effective from 2m to 2½m and handles soft ground. In fair form and should come on for the latest run. Feasibly treated on his best form and his Ludlow run back from a break was encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (20/1 -43%)Saccary |
20/1(-43%) | (8) Saccary 20/1, Poorly placed at a sharp track and never threatened when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Ludlow last time. Effective at 2m and handles ground with cut. Modest over hurdles so far but may do better based on French Flat form. Beaten a good way in both his handicap hurdles and clearly needs to find something. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (13) (12/1 +52%)Chosen Bae |
12/1(+52%) | (13) Chosen Bae 12/1, Below form when back up in trip and comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Catterick last time. Effective from 2m to 2½m on soft ground but inconsistent. Recent efforts have been uninspiring but she won a handicap at Bangor in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (25/1 +0%)Jeepydoff Meel |
25/1(+0%) | (12) Jeepydoff Meel 25/1, Made too much use of when fourth, beaten 19l, in a handicap hurdle here last time. Effective from 2m to 2m6f and handles heavy and good ground. Needs to improve. Won a maiden hurdle in 2023 but has lost his way. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (33/1 -50%)In The Purple |
33/1(-50%) | (1) In The Purple 33/1, From a yard that won this race last year; outpaced and finished down the field in a maiden hurdle at Newbury last time. Handles ground with some give and is bred to want further than 2m. Looks the stable's second string. Similar to stablemate Kenzoko in that he's not shown a lot but now goes into a handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (5/1 +77%)Catboy |
5/1(+77%) | (11) Catboy 5/1, Unseated in a handicap chase at Ludlow last time. Usually held up and returns from a short break. Out of form at present. Well handicapped on 2024 form but needs to raise his game. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (40/1 -60%)Master Dunraven |
40/1(-60%) | (6) Master Dunraven 40/1, Outpaced and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell last time. Wears a hood for the first time. Effective around 2½m and handles any ground. Should do better when stepped back up in trip. Dual Flat winner in Ireland; modest over hurdles; now hooded. |

Eric Carmen appeared revitalised by a 277-day layoff when romping home over 2m4f here earlier this month. However, the combination of an 11lb hike in the ratings and return to 2m may find the nine-year-old out and it could be worth chancing handicap debutant KENZOKO. The five-year-old shaped encouragingly on his latest sixth over C&D and an opening mark of 100 looks workable. Last month's Doncaster scorer Postponed Legacy may give the selection most to think about.

This looks open. POSTPONED LEGACY can race freely but he won at Doncaster last time and now has Harry Atkins taking off 7lb.

14/1(+22%) | (1) Benign Dictator 14/1, Outpaced and needed the run after a long layoff when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Newbury last time. Usually held up and effective from 2m4f to 3m. Acts on any going but must prove that his ability remains. Back from long absence with tailed-off effort at Newbury and he's untried at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (15/2 +46%)Sunshine Diamond |
15/2(+46%) | (2) Sunshine Diamond 15/2, Needed the run and travelled well for a long way when second, beaten 27l, in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster last time. Effective at 3m and acts on good ground. Fairly treated on his novice form. Dual hurdle winner but he's been disappointing in both handicaps and has bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 -14%)Getaway Theatre |
4/1(-14%) | (4) Getaway Theatre 4/1, Ran to form and was just caught late by a race-fit rival, beaten a nose off a 1lb lower mark here last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m1f and suited by plenty of cut. Still looks on a good mark and should come on for that run. Reappeared with a near-miss here (3m1f) last month and she's only gone up 1lb; key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (2/1 +11%)Harry Bright |
2/1(+11%) | (7) Harry Bright 2/1, From a yard that won this race last year. Back to form when beaten 1 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Market Rasen last time. Cheekpieces on for the first time. Effective from 2m5f to 2m7f on good to soft or good ground and capable of better. Second at Market Rasen and he should have more to offer in staying handicaps; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (6/1 +0%)Kaituna River |
6/1(+0%) | (3) Kaituna River 6/1, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Uttoxeter last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m on soft or good ground and respected stepping up in trip. Bounced back with good second at Uttoxeter; respected on first run after wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (11/4 -10%)Seatoit |
11/4(-10%) | (5) Seatoit 11/4, Improved when beaten a neck off a 3lb lower mark at Ffos Las last time. Trainer in form and returning from a short break. Effective from 2m4f to 3m on soft or good to soft ground and could progress further up in trip. 0-7 but he went close on handicap debut at Ffos Las (3m) last month; respected up 3lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (40/1 -21%)Vaguely Royal |
40/1(-21%) | (6) Vaguely Royal 40/1, Below form when tried in blinkers and failed to stay when well held in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Effective around 2m on decent ground but stamina remains a major concern. Has struggled under both codes for current yard and he needs a big turnaround. |

HARRY BRIGHT built on a promising fifth-placed handicap bow at Wincanton when filling the runner-up spot at Market Rasen earlier this month. A further step up in distance looks ideal for the son of Milan and a breakthrough victory may be on the cards. Getaway Theatre was narrowly denied over a furlong shorter here 42 days ago and could give the selection most to think about, ahead of Kaituna River.

Top of the list is SEATOIT, who went close on his handicap debut at Ffos Las and is open to more progress at this new trip.

1st (1) (4/5 +71%)Invited |
4/5(+71%) | (1) Invited 4/5, Outpaced down in trip when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time. The trainer is in form and he's effective at 7/8f. Acts on a sound surface, and the return to this trip is a plus. Drops back in grade and may well enjoy the run of the race; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (3/1 +10%)Hitched |
3/1(+10%) | (2) Hitched 3/1, Below form when beaten 9l in a handicap here last time, though in good form before that. Effective over 8-10f and acts on a sound surface. Needs to bounce back. Dual C&D winner but may need a stiffer test now; wouldn't want this to be run at a dawdle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (10/1 -233%)Way To Dubai |
10/1(-233%) | (6) Way To Dubai 10/1, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; effective 6/7f, acts on GS, GF and AW; found his form of late. Return to 1m should suit but a record of 0-27 since arriving in Britain is hard to ignore. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (40/1 -60%)Nordic Norm |
40/1(-60%) | (3) Nordic Norm 40/1, Another moderate effort when beaten 8l in a handicap at York last time after a short break. Suited by 8f and acts on AW; plenty to prove. Has gone the wrong way since his successful debut; best watched on stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (7/2 -27%)Rey De La Batalla |
7/2(-27%) | (5) Rey De La Batalla 7/2, Back to form beaten a length off this mark here last time; effective 7/8f, best on AW; capable off this mark. All four wins over 7f/1m on Polytrack; third here nine days ago and should again go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (25/1 -79%)Great Blasket |
25/1(-79%) | (4) Great Blasket 25/1, Well below form when down the field in a handicap at Kempton most recently. Suited by 8/9f and seems to act on most surfaces except very testing ground. Erratic but now back on his last winning mark. Back off last winning mark but efforts since returned to the AW leave plenty to be desired. |

A 1lb ease in the ratings could prove to be lenient for last-time-out course third WAY TO DUBAI and a fourth career victory may be on the cards. The son of Holy Roman Emperor has been shaping as if a return to this distance will suit and he edges the vote over Rey De La Batalla. The four-year-old finished third over 7f here recently and a similar performance should see him involved. The downgraded Invited may also feature.

The selection is INVITED who should appreciate the drop in grade and may well enjoy the run of the race.

1st (7) (14/1 -17%)Linden Arden |
14/1(-17%) | (7) Linden Arden 14/1, Scored by 3/4l off a 7lb lower mark here two starts ago but was below form up in grade when 11th, beaten 21l off 121 last time. Off a short break; effective at about 2 1/2m and acts on any ground, though inconsistent and his mark looks stiff. Up 7lb for course win penultimate, struggled at Naas latest, return to this track a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (13) (3/1 +25%)San Hilario |
3/1(+25%) | (13) San Hilario 3/1, Had too much to do when beaten 3 1/2l off a 1lb lower mark at Navan last time. Effective around 2m and handles soft ground; consistent performer whose form has been franked at Graded level. Maiden, good runs in defeat the last twice, yard in flying form, leading contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (8/1 -45%)A Dream To Share |
8/1(-45%) | (4) A Dream To Share 8/1, Dual G1 winner who departed early last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/4m and a useful dual-purpose performer, well treated on bumper form. Top class bumper performer, brought down early on h'cap debut, could be well treated. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (7/1 +42%)Rockymountainbleu |
7/1(+42%) | (12) Rockymountainbleu 7/1, Flattened out late but ran to form when well beaten in a handicap hurdle here last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m and generally consistent. C&D maiden hurdle winner, ran well here in October (gd-yld), may need quicker ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (6/1 -20%)Theflyingbee |
6/1(-20%) | (8) Theflyingbee 6/1, Returned to form down in grade, appreciating the stiff track and drop in trip when beaten 2 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Navan. Effective between 2m and 2 1/2m, acts on any ground, though her form can be in and out. Form of latest second at Navan franked, has won at this trip, go well again off 2lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (18/1 -200%)Klass Langy |
18/1(-200%) | (1) Klass Langy 18/1, Outpaced and unable to go the gallop when unsuited by a drop in trip on stable debut, finishing down the field in a Cheltenham handicap chase. Hurdles and chase winner in France. Top course trainer, but has a bit to find on these terms. French chase winner, disappointing stable debut, may have needed that, can do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (13/2 +74%)Boher Road |
13/2(+74%) | (9) Boher Road 13/2, Made too much use of and probably needed the race when down the field in the Irish Cesarewitch at The Curragh. Returns from a long absence; enjoys racing prominently but needs to prove ability remains. Wexford maiden hurdle winner in 2023, off since September 2024, watch unless market speaks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (33/1 -106%)Cafe Con Leche |
33/1(-106%) | (10) Cafe Con Leche 33/1, Won by a nose off a 6lb lower mark at Cork two runs ago but was disappointing off his revised mark on testing ground when tenth, beaten 24l off 118 last time. Trainer in form; effective from 12f to 20f, acts on heavy and good ground; consistent on the flat but less reliable over hurdles. Raised 6lb for Cork win on penultimate, struggled over C&D latest, needs to rebound. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (22/1 -144%)Thornleigh Frank |
22/1(-144%) | (6) Thornleigh Frank 22/1, Keen and needed the run when running well for a long way before being comfortably held in a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle. Effective around 2 1/2m on decent ground; was progressive before a layoff and could be running back into form. Only seen twice since last win in 2023, may have needed the run latest, place shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (7/2 +22%)Sommesky |
7/2(+22%) | (2) Sommesky 7/2, Ran to form but tired up the hill on return when comfortably held in the Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle (Listed) at Naas. That form has been franked. Off a short break; effective around 2 1/2m and consistent, though his mark demands more. Limerick maiden hurdle winner, likely to improve for handicap debut latest, chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (16/1 +60%)No Looking Back |
16/1(+60%) | (5) No Looking Back 16/1, Pulled up in a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle on latest start. Effective from 2m to 2 1/4m and acts on any ground, but has been out of form since a layoff. No win since Grade 2 success in 2022, pulled up on latest, risky proposition. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (50/1 -100%)Toto Too |
50/1(-100%) | (3) Toto Too 50/1, Made too much use of when down the field in a handicap at The Curragh last time. Off a short break and form tailed off in both codes. Best hurdles form at around 2m-2m1f, not much impact on Flat this year, others more solid. |

KLASS LANGY has plenty of notable form in France and could go well with Hugh Horgan taking 5lb off his back. He actually went off favourite on stable debut for a valuable handicap chase at Cheltenham last month and the return to hurdles might aid his cause. San Hilario is on a dangerous weight for the red-hot team of Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy. The form of Theflyingbee's runner-up berth in Navan received a significant boost when the winner followed up at Leopardstown over Christmas. Theflyingbee's two victories came over similar trips to this one, while A Dream To Share is likely to put it all together over flights sooner rather than later.

Narrow preference is for THEFLYINGBEE who bumped into a handicap blot at Navan last time

13/2(+13%) | (6) Jacques Clouseau 13/2, Ran to form and needed the outing after a wind operation when beaten 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Southwell last time; now having his second run since surgery and open to further improvement now chasing. Close up off 2lb lower over hurdles last time and should do better over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (12/1 -9%)Mumford's Magic |
12/1(-9%) | (7) Mumford's Magic 12/1, Travelled well but found little after a bad error when well beaten in a Chepstow handicap chase last time; returning from a long absence; effective from 2½m to 2¾m and handles cut; fair mark on debut form but must prove his ability remains. Nearly won off this mark two runs back but he's returning from a long absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (5/2 +38%)Kalhandrion |
5/2(+38%) | (9) Kalhandrion 5/2, Game effort returning to form down in grade on chase debut, landing a Huntingdon handicap by 3l off a 6lb lower mark; effective around 2½m and handles soft and good to soft; needs more to follow up off a higher mark in this stronger race. Different proposition when winning on chase debut at Huntingdon; raised a fair 6lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (25/1 -79%)Wotter Trotter |
25/1(-79%) | (8) Wotter Trotter 25/1, Outpaced and never threatened, appearing to need a stiffer test when comfortably held in a Wetherby handicap chase last time; effective at 2m and handles soft and good to soft; consistent in spring with hurdle form franked, could progress when stepped up in trip. Well beaten in two chases at about 2m but still early days and he now goes in cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (12/1 -200%)Disguisedlimit |
12/1(-200%) | (4) Disguisedlimit 12/1, Travelled well and went clear when running to form but kicked on too soon, caught by a strong stayer and beaten 1¼l off a 3lb lower mark at Musselburgh last time; effective 2m-2m4f on good to soft or good; in form, though enthusiasm slightly in question. Probably should have won at Musselburgh latest and much respected off 3lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (5/1 +44%)Kepler's Law |
5/1(+44%) | (3) Kepler's Law 5/1, Made mistakes and ran below form when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last time; wears a tongue-tie for the first time and remains open to marked improvement now chasing. Point/novice hurdle winner who has been disappointing in his four handicaps; chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (14/1 +13%)Tune In A Box |
14/1(+13%) | (1) Tune In A Box 14/1, Found little having briefly threatened when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Chepstow last time; effective from 2m3f to 3m and acts on soft and good ground; yet to show his best over fences. Useful winning hurdler (at up to 3m) but no sign of that form as yet over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (10/1 +0%)Il Va De Soi |
10/1(+0%) | (2) Il Va De Soi 10/1, Needed the run on chase debut when 22l third in a Bangor-on-Dee handicap chase last time; effective around 2½m and suited by cut in the ground; more to come based on hurdle form. Dual hurdle winner; encouraging third of nine on his chasing debut at Bangor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (13/2 +0%)Genietoile |
13/2(+0%) | (5) Genietoile 13/2, Finished 12l third in a handicap chase at Chepstow last time; effective from 2½m to 3m and acts on good to soft and good; consistent over hurdles and well treated on that form, with more to come over fences; should go close if building on his return. Back from a long absence when third behind a stablemate on chase debut at Chepstow. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (33/1 -371%)Just Forty |
33/1(-371%) | (10) Just Forty 33/1, Disappointing on stable debut when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Fontwell last time; trainer in good form; effective around 2m4f and handles heavy ground; respected on French form but bit to prove for new yard. Had wind op since quiet stable debut over hurdles; unexposed and Bowen is booked. |

KALHANDRION proved a different proposition when making a winning chase/seasonal debut at Huntingdon last month. A 6lb higher mark looks fair given how far the selection and runner-up pulled clear of the third and a double may beckon. Il Va De Soi should have learned plenty from his first attempt over fences when hitting the frame at Bangor 49 days ago and isn't taken lightly easing in class, with Genietoile boasting a similar profile.

An interesting race that will take some winning. JACQUES CLOUSEAU brings plenty of potential into his chase career.

13/8(+19%) | (4) Stick With Me Sam 13/8, Returned to form on his second start after a wind operation when winning a handicap by 8l off an 8lb lower mark at Hexham last time. Effective at 2m and acts with cut; inconsistent but may have more to offer now he has got his head in front. Off the mark with an emphatic win at Hexham three weeks ago; big player again up 8lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (13/2 -86%)El Rojo Grande |
13/2(-86%) | (7) El Rojo Grande 13/2, A bit below his best and may have needed the run when beaten 5l in a handicap chase at Lingfield last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground; should come on for the run. 0-12 under rules but he's run well in last three starts and should be in the mix again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (15/2 -36%)Chestnut Pete |
15/2(-36%) | (2) Chestnut Pete 15/2, Ran to recent form when 9 1/2l third in a handicap chase at Taunton on his most recent run. Best at 2m–2m2f and suited by good ground; edging down the weights. 10yo who has been placed in his last two runs but overall record is now 1-28. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (15/8 +46%)Youdecide |
15/8(+46%) | (1) Youdecide 15/8, Improved in first-time cheekpieces, well placed to challenge at a sharp track when beaten 2 1/2l off this mark at Huntingdon last time. Best around 2m4f on a sound surface; former point winner and a contender on chase debut. Point/hurdle winner and he should have a future over fences; needs a close look. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(+0%) | (5) Blackijo Dagrostis 14/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Hereford latest. Cheekpieces applied for the first time; effective from 2m to 2m4f on a sound surface and needs to bounce back. Overall record of 0-17 and was pulled up at Hereford last month; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (12/1 +64%)Misteroddsocks |
12/1(+64%) | (6) Misteroddsocks 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Exeter last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f; form to date modest and needs to find more. Nine-race maiden who has been pulled up in two of his three runs over fences; opposable. |

STICK WITH ME SAM is the one to beat. He was fancied to go well at Hexham three weeks ago and didn't disappoint, running away from his rivals to score by eight lengths. Should he arrive here in similar form, the others are likely playing for second. Youdecide is the pick of them for the in-form Ben Pauling team, while Hawk Stone is also noteworthy.

This can go to STICK WITH ME SAM (nap) who won in emphatic style at Hexham and still looks feasibly treated off his revised mark.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (28/1 -155%)Crystal Dagger |
28/1(-155%) | (6) Crystal Dagger 28/1, Raced a bit wide and finished below form when down the field in a handicap at Southwell most recently. Trainer is in form, and she's effective at 6f or 7f on the all-weather. The handicapper has given her a chance. Record on turf reads 222, but has beaten a total of one rival in three starts on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (13/8 +19%)Gaiety Musical |
13/8(+19%) | (2) Gaiety Musical 13/8, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off this mark at Chelmsford last time. Effective over 7f or 8f on the all-weather and considered a leading player. All four wins have come at around 1m; could play a part if getting a solid pace to run at. |

6th (3) (10/3 +49%)Kindest Nation |
10/3(+49%) | (3) Kindest Nation 10/3, Scored by 3/4l off a 3lb lower mark at Newcastle three starts back but finished only ninth last time. Top jockey returns to ride. Effective at 8f and best suited by a stiff 7f on the all-weather. Needs to bounce back. Well beaten at Wolverhampton and needs to bounce back in the returning cheekpieces. |

LADY MANZOR is one of just two C&D winners in this field and, prior to a break, she was holding her form well enough to suggest she ought to go very close. 5lb claimer Jack Dace gets on well with the progressive filly and she can sign off for 2025 in style. Gaiety Musical and Kindest Nation are the dangers.

The selection is PENELOPE VALENTINE who beat 13 rivals to win over C&D on her penultimate start.

20/1(-11%) | (1) Penny Jar 20/1, Fell in a handicap hurdle at Thurles last time when beaten; usually held up; effective over 2 1/2m on good ground; unreliable. Course winner, in the doldrums for some time, no signs of a revival recent starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (8/1 +11%)Space Warrior |
8/1(+11%) | (3) Space Warrior 8/1, Keen and ran to form when fourth, beaten 14l, in a handicap hurdle here last time; effective around 2m on good or soft ground; in moderate form over hurdles. Lost way since maiden win last Nov', a bit better here latest but others appeal more. |

The Tom Mullins-trained SPACE WARRIOR may be able to gain a second career victory in a race which lacks any strength in depth. Rated much higher in the past, the four-year-old son of Belardo shaped with promise when mid-division at this track last month. Although he will need to back up that effort if he is to land this, the gelding seems to run his best races on tight, right-handed tracks. King Bob, who showed his first hint of ability when third at Tramore in October, is a lightly-raced gelding that should be open to further improvement. Blue Reed has had plenty of chances but perhaps the application of first-time cheekpieces can bring about the necessary improvement.

The vote goes to KING BOB who ran a nice race at Tramore last time out and that form has since been boosted by the first two home

4/1(+20%) | (5) Express Surprise 4/1, Improved to win a handicap by 1l off a 5lb lower mark at Wetherby last time; trainer in form; effective over 3m on soft or good ground and generally consistent. Made it 2-5 over fences in 2025 when winning over 3m at Wetherby; up 5lb; can do better. |

Impressive on the step up to 3m when last seen in November 2024; entitled to need this. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (28/1 -133%)Gata Ban |
28/1(-133%) | (9) Gata Ban 28/1, Made mistakes and failed to build on her debut chase effort when well held at Market Rasen last time; in good form prior and wears cheekpieces for the first time; effective over 2 1/2m on good to soft or good; needs to bounce back. Irish point and dual winning hurdler; respectable chase debut; beaten long way out since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (13) (16/1 -60%)Nine Nine Nine |
16/1(-60%) | (13) Nine Nine Nine 16/1, Ran to form at his favoured venue when beaten 1 1/2l off a 1lb lower mark at Leicester last time; effective from 2m4f to 2m7f on heavy or good to soft ground and appears to be running into form. Back to form when 2nd at Leicester (2m6f) but has not yet convinced in rare 3m runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (5/1 +29%)River Voyage |
5/1(+29%) | (7) River Voyage 5/1, Ran to form back over fences when 10l third in a Chepstow handicap chase last time; effective over 3m, acts on any ground and looks unexposed in this discipline off a good mark. Stout stayer who won 3m/2m7f hurdles in the spring; fair chase run latest after a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (9/4 +59%)Keppel Queen |
9/4(+59%) | (2) Keppel Queen 9/4, Ran to form when winning a maiden hurdle at Warwick by 4 1/2l last time; returns from a short break and remains open to marked improvement now chasing. Fell early on chase debut in January; won over hurdles on yard debut; has potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (16/1 -33%)Isle Of Gold |
16/1(-33%) | (1) Isle Of Gold 16/1, Unseated in a handicap chase at Huntingdon last time; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and may improve with experience, debut form looks good. Promising chase debut over 3m1f in January; unseated latest; ought to have potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (22/1 -83%)Lone Soldier |
22/1(-83%) | (14) Lone Soldier 22/1, Ran to form when 7 1/4l third in a Southwell handicap chase last time; usually held up; effective over 2 1/2m and remains an inconsistent maiden. 0-13; travelled strongly but didn't find much when upped to 3m latest; 4lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (25/1 -25%)Thickthorn Tom |
25/1(-25%) | (10) Thickthorn Tom 25/1, Showed little on handicap debut when comfortably held in a Fontwell hurdle last time; cheekpieces go on for the first time and he's open to improvement. Minor hurdle form, including on handicap debut; has it to prove now switched to fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (12) (66/1 -230%)Gibberwell |
66/1(-230%) | (12) Gibberwell 66/1, Bit below form but not disgraced when beaten 8 1/2l in a Carlisle handicap chase last time; effective over 3m+ on soft and good ground; inconsistent veteran. Steep rise in weights for Hexham win in March; vulnerable since; needs weight off his back. |

Having opened her account when making a winning stable bow at Warwick in October, there could be more to come from KEPPEL QUEEN. Olly Murphy's mare reverts to handicap/chase company off what could prove a lenient mark and she ticks plenty of the right boxes. Express Surprise regained the winning thread at Wetherby earlier this month and should give another good account, while River Voyage also looks capable of featuring.

Keppel Queen is respected after her winning yard debut over hurdles but EXPRESS SURPRISE is taken to go on from his Wetherby win.

Has joined a top yard and should go well on rules debut. Point winner who has joined top yard for rules career and could play a leading role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (1/1 +33%)Smile John Boy |
1/1(+33%) | (1) Smile John Boy 1/1, Made a promising debut, scoring with a bit in hand as a 5 1/2l winner in a bumper at Hereford. Effective at 2m on good ground; a nice type, though defying a penalty is never easy in bumpers. Comfortably made all at Hereford on debut and he's a key player under a 7lb penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (25/1 -150%)Midnight Doyen |
25/1(-150%) | (9) Midnight Doyen 25/1, Showed some promise on debut when beaten 8 1/2l in a bumper at Chepstow. With the trainer in good form, she looks the type to improve with experience. Showed ability on this month's debut at Chepstow; may take a step forward for in-form yard. |

4th (3) (13/2 +7%)Eternity Rose |
13/2(+7%) | (3) Eternity Rose 13/2, Travelled, green, promising debut when third beaten 6 1/4l in a 4yo bumper at Doncaster debut; returning from long layoff; effective at 2m1f, acts on G; should go well granted normal improvement. Third on debut at Doncaster in March; pedigree provides optimism he'll improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (10/1 -67%)Soldier Poet |
10/1(-67%) | (6) Soldier Poet 10/1, Promising debut when runner-up, beaten a length, in a bumper at Plumpton on his only start. Effective at 2m2f on soft ground; needs to improve but that looks possible. Belied market weakness when 1l runner-up at 12-1 on debut; open to improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (300/1 -200%)Play On Court |
300/1(-200%) | (4) Play On Court 300/1, Well beaten on debut in an Amateurs' bumper at Uttoxeter, his only start. Returns from a short break and is hard to make a case for. Related to winners but tailed off at 100-1 on debut at Uttoxeter in October. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (28/1 +44%)I'llhaveabitofthat |
28/1(+44%) | (8) I'llhaveabitofthat 28/1, Moderate debut effort when well beaten in a Mares' bumper at Aintree on her only start. Off a short break; should improve but needs to do so. There's some potential in her pedigree but she was well beaten on October's debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (28/1 -12%)T R Five |
28/1(-12%) | (7) T R Five 28/1, Yorgunnabelucky gelding and full-brother to Onemorefortheroad, a very useful 16f performer. Likely to need this debut experience. Brother to useful Onemorefortheroad but trainer isn't known for bumper winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (200/1 -100%)Earl Chester |
200/1(-100%) | (2) Earl Chester 200/1, Schiaparelli gelding and half-brother to Sir Rodney, a poor performer at 16f; dam was well beaten on her only start. Makes little appeal on debut. Second foal; dam well held in bumper; a watching brief is advised on debut. |

Smile John Boy looked a nice prospect when winning one of these on his Hereford debut, but this is tougher now he's got the penalty to contend with and slight preference is for RISKY OBSESSION. Dan Skelton's inmate won a point-to-point earlier in the year and should be ready to go on his Rules debut given his powerful connections. Midnight Doyen is also noted.

Smile John Boy impressed at Hereford but this could go to point winner RISKY OBSESSION on his first run for Dan Skelton.

10/3(+0%) | (3) Lazzar 10/3, Ran to his best recent form when winning a novice here by 1/2l last time. Effective over 6f and ran well at 5f earlier in his career. Acts on all-weather surfaces and remains on a very workable mark. Good Polytrack form earlier in 2025; ready winner of C&D novice latest; solid option. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (3/1 +40%)Profit Street |
3/1(+40%) | (10) Profit Street 3/1, Won by 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start and ran to form when third last time. Effective over 6f or 7f and acts on all-weather surfaces. Can go well again. Well treated on best form; first win for yard this month; race not pan out over C&D since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (11/1 -120%)Woodhay Whisper |
11/1(-120%) | (6) Woodhay Whisper 11/1, Scored by a neck off a 10lb lower mark at Wolverhampton in November. Finished fourth last time, doing her best work late. Effective over 5f and 6f and acts on all-weather surfaces. Better than she showed latest. In good form but 10lb higher than Wolverhampton win (6f) in November; below best latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (9/2 +44%)Mart |
9/2(+44%) | (2) Mart 9/2, Stopped quickly when beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Newcastle last time. Suited by 6f and acts on all-weather surfaces. Needs to bounce back to previous form. Two C&D wins; well treated and hinting at a revival here in the autumn; below best latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (25/1 -150%)South Shore Island |
25/1(-150%) | (11) South Shore Island 25/1, Lacked the pace to challenge when beaten 3l off a 2lb higher mark here last time. Suited by 5f to 7f and acts on all-weather surfaces. Still a maiden with moderate form overall. Maiden; can lead; has been running over 5f; unconvincing in most recent 6f runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (18/1 +28%)Balon D'or |
18/1(+28%) | (1) Balon D'or 18/1, Below form when beaten 7l in a handicap here last time. Enjoys racing prominently and is effective over 5f and 6f. Acts on all-weather surfaces and is 4lb above his last winning mark. Three turf wins but 0-8 on AW and well held over C&D recently on second run for yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (80/1 -300%)Comedian Leader |
80/1(-300%) | (7) Comedian Leader 80/1, Again below form when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Effective from 6f to 8f and acts on all-weather surfaces. Needs to bounce back. Two turf wins here in August (7f and 6f); two mystifying defeats on Polytrack this month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (15/8 +32%)Twilight Madness |
15/8(+32%) | (5) Twilight Madness 15/8, Produced a good effort up 4lb when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Wolverhampton last time. Enjoys making the running, suited by 5f or 6f and acts on all-weather surfaces. In very good heart. Ready C&D winner back at 6f, then followed up at Wolverhampton; well treated on past form. |

TWILIGHT MADNESS can send his supporters home smiling in the finale by completing his hat-trick. He's galloped his rivals into the ground the last twice over C&D and then at Wolverhampton, and it will take a brave punter to oppose him while he's in this kind of form. Of the others, keep C&D winner Lazzar and Woodhay Whisper in mind.

Twilight Street has a good weights chance on his old form but LAZZAR is taken to follow up his recent C&D novice win.

2nd (6) (11/4 -22%)Luciole Des Bordes |
11/4(-22%) | (6) Luciole Des Bordes 11/4, Stable won this last year; travelled well on promising bumper debut when beaten 6l at Fairyhouse; returns from a long layoff and could improve if ridden more patiently. Outran odds of 25-1 on debut, yard won this with Bambino Fever last year, obvious chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (12) (11/8 +8%)Sound Judgement |
11/8(+8%) | (12) Sound Judgement 11/8, Stable has won two of the last five renewals; impressive 6l winner in a Monksgrange maiden on debut; back from a long layoff and looks a strong contender for in form yard. Doyen mare, bought for 85,000GBP after point win, fascinating contender for top yard. |

16/1(+36%) | (8) Nells Princess 16/1, Very promising debut when winning a maiden at Dromahane by 3l; worth following in the betting ahead of debut. Shirocco mare, won a Dromahane point by 4l, form not easy to assess but has ability. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (13) (40/1 -100%)The Fly Window |
40/1(-100%) | (13) The Fly Window 40/1, Modest effort when well beaten in a maiden at Bartlemy on debut; hard to fancy. Kingston Hill mare, well beaten in point but yard 2-2 in bumpers last 5 seasons. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (15/2 -173%)Red Acres Georgie |
15/2(-173%) | (10) Red Acres Georgie 15/2, Very promising debut 14l winner in a maiden at Ballindenisk; off for a long time and worth a market check on debut. Order Of St George mare, bought for 100,000GBP after point win in 2024, check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (200/1 -100%)Quiet In Bresil |
200/1(-100%) | (9) Quiet In Bresil 200/1, Outpaced and modest debut effort when well beaten in a Mares bumper at Limerick; has plenty to prove. 80-1 and tailed off on debut at Limerick last week, seems safe to rule out after that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (22/1 +12%)Ivy Lane |
22/1(+12%) | (3) Ivy Lane 22/1, Doyen mare, a full-sister to Cringle Burn, who showed moderate form at 20f. Yard not known for rules winners. Doyen mare; dam a half-sister to Kalashnikov, yard won this in 2022, check market. |

33/1(-136%) | (7) Madam Jess 33/1, Made mistakes and finished down the field on debut in a maiden hurdle at Gowran Park; off a long absence, usually held up, and has a bit to find. Good run over C&D in October 2024, off since maiden hurdle defeat next month, check market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (150/1 -88%)Hazy Daisy |
150/1(-88%) | (2) Hazy Daisy 150/1, Diamond Boy mare and half-sister to Frankfurter, who was moderate over 16f. Likely to need this initial experience. Diamond Boy mare, dam maiden hurdler, likely best watched on belated debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (150/1 -50%)Sky Lewis |
150/1(-50%) | (11) Sky Lewis 150/1, Poor debut when well beaten in a bumper here; absent for a lengthy spell and likely to need more time. Beaten 67l on debut over C&D in Feb' 2023, off since, best watched after mammoth layoff. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (4) (80/1 -21%)Jenina |
80/1(-21%) | (4) Jenina 80/1, Shirocco filly, half-sister to Right Destination, who was fair over 17f. Yard has had bumper winner here. Shirocco filly, half-sister to 2m7f winner, yard 2-93 in bumpers last 5 seasons, watch. |

A promising fifth on her introduction at Fairyhouse in April, LUCIOLE DES BORDES can land this finale. Sent off 25/1 for that valuable sales bumper, the Willie Mullins-trained daughter of Jeu St Eloi belied those odds with a nice effort to get within six lengths of the winner. Sure to have come on for that experience, it would be no surprise to see the four-year-old register a first career success. Given the form of the Gordon Elliott team all week, recent Monksgrange point-to-point winner Sound Judgement has to be respected on her Rules debut. A half-sister to a black-type horse, Tramore bumper runner-up Lilannbee looks to be gradually improving with each start.

SOUND JUDGEMENT was impressive when winning her point-to-point at Monksgrange and she is narrowly preferred

11/1(-10%) | (3) Florence's Dream 11/1, Walk In The Park filly; half-sister to Soaring Glory, a high-class performer over 16f; faces a tough enough task on debut. Closely related to two winners including Soaring Glory (smart bumper/2m hurdle). |

7th (4) (11/1 -10%)Jessie's Giant |
11/1(-10%) | (4) Jessie's Giant 11/1, Outpaced and never threatened when beaten 9l in an amateurs' bumper at Wetherby on debut. Effective at 2m and should improve a little, may stay further in time. 11-1, beaten about 9l on soft ground at Wetherby a month ago; may improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (33/1 +0%)Capla Resdev |
33/1(+0%) | (11) Capla Resdev 33/1, Showed greenness under pressure on debut when fourth, beaten 17l in a mares' bumper at Doncaster. Trainer in form; tongue-tie fitted for the first time; should improve with experience. Posted a modest RPR when a remote fourth at Doncaster (soft) and will need plenty more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (125/1 -213%)Roberta Bishop |
125/1(-213%) | (10) Roberta Bishop 125/1, Showed minor promise when third, beaten 15l in a mares' bumper at Ffos Las on debut. Off a short break and may prefer a stiffer test in time. Questionable what she achieved when beaten 15l in a small field at Kelso (soft). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (40/1 -82%)Arbor Rose |
40/1(-82%) | (1) Arbor Rose 40/1, Ran second, beaten 8 1/2l in a conditions race at Sandon on her only start. Returns from a long absence and looks hard to recommend. No match for a subsequent rules winner when second in a point bumper in April. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (80/1 -186%)Maggi Breeze |
80/1(-186%) | (6) Maggi Breeze 80/1, Elm Park mare; half-sister to Bridget Breeze, fair over 21f; stable better known for flat exploits. From a fine jumping family but yard not noted for winning bumpers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (11/1 +45%)Maria Mes |
11/1(+45%) | (7) Maria Mes 11/1, Yard won this last year; outpaced and modest on debut when well beaten in a Sandown bumper. Off a short break and should improve a little for that experience. Outpaced and comfortably held at Sandown but did go off only 11-2. |

Having shaped with promise on her debut seventh in an 18-runner bumper at Cheltenham in April, RAINBOW TARA could be ready to strike on her stable debut for Dan Skelton. The five-year-old looks just the type to have improved for a summer on her back and rates as the one to beat. Loro White represents another top stable and market support on her opening bid could prove significant. Point-to-point runner-up Arbor Rose is also worth a second look.

A chance is taken on the newcomer FERN GULLY as Harry Cobden has a good strike-rate when teaming up with Emma Lavelle.
Ths is the racecard key.
