LTO Selection:

11:30 Naas Maiden Chase 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HEART WOOD returned from 364 days off when running well in a hot beginners' chase last month. His French form was smart – winning an Auteuil Listed hurdle in March 2022 and while absent for almost a year prior to Naas, he sandwiched two high-class types. He is suited by conditions and is now race-fit. Blood Destiny was Grade 2-placed last April and debuts over fences on reappearance over a distance which could suit. He will be well schooled and receives 8lb but nonetheless cedes experience to the year-older selection. Landrake was a 135-rated hurdler who was well beaten on chase debut while Spanish Harlem, which is rated 131 over hurdles, has plenty to prove in this smart race having been pulled up at Cheltenham.

A strong maiden with all 4 useful over hurdles. Heart Wood had a couple of subsequent winners behind him when second in a novice chase here on his belated return and shades the vote over Blood Destiny.

Blood Destiny may struggle to cope with HEART WOOD who should be better for last month's comeback run.

LTO Selection:

11:45 Taunton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having shown a liking for this particular venue, Dancing Harry looks likely to go well, with his match-fitness topped up after a spin around Kempton on the Flat last month. Sedgefield winner Karloss is also noteworthy, but a chance is taken on previous point-to-point winner OMAHA WISH being able to build on the promise shown in two respectable efforts over timber since returning after wind surgery in October.

JOHNNY BOOM shaped very well after a lay-off when a strong-travelling runner-up over C&D last time and looks very much the way to go with that form also proving strong. Karloss hit the ground running for his new yard when scoring at Sedgefield and rates the obvious threat with Phoenix Aquilus and Omaha Wish in the mix for minor honours.

The suggestion is KARLOSS, who has considerable scope to progress from his winning stable debut at Sedgefield.

LTO Selection:

11:55 Newcastle Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FFREE PEDRO capped off last season with a solid second on his handicap bow at Bangor and a similar bid on his return to action may see him finish one place better in this contest. Classic Maestro has fitness on his side and is a viable alternative to the selection. Poetria posted creditable efforts in defeat at Sedgefield and Uttoxeter last month and the mare is unlikely to be far away.

FFREE PEDRO upped his game when second at Bangor 8 months ago and there's likely more to come, so he gets the nod over Classic Maestro, who is the type to do better now handicapping. Market support for Kian Calling would look significant.

The step up in trip could be a plus for the 4yo GREENHILL GARDENS who earns the vote ahead of fellow handicap newcomer Kian Calling

LTO Selection:

12:00 Naas Handicap Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MONEY HEIST was absent for 394 days prior to an encouraging run last month and looks far better than his 97 rating. His initial point-to-point form was good and having won at Galway in October 2022, disappointed three days later before missing 13 months. Wearing cheekpieces and dropping in distance isn't ideal but reverting to fences on testing going will suit. Kilashee ran well behind a nicely-in winner at Clonmel last week but has yet to win in 12 chases. Prince Of Air ran well on chase debut at Thurles last month and likes this distance. Triple point-to-point winner Kates Hill makes her handicap chase debut and while she has top weight, has distance form on heavy ground. Pana To Milan ran well enough at Tramore while Cullenwaine disappointed at Thurles. Natural Ability debuts in handicaps and is best watched for now.

Cases can be made for several, but MONEY HEIST shaped as if retaining all his ability after 13 months off when fourth over hurdles at Cork last month, and with that outing sure to have blow away any cobwebs, Gavin Cromwell's 6-y-o gets the nod to open his account in this sphere fitted with first-time headgear. Kilashee, Mahlers Cove and Knocknagappagh are just a handul of possible dangers.

With normal improvement from a comeback run over hurdles at Cork, MONEY HEIST could prove a cut above these rivals.

LTO Selection:

12:10 Warwick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A multiple winner on the Flat, REBEL ANGEL is an interesting contender now sent over hurdles and she might not have to be anything special to land this contest. Rue De La Mer was pulled up on her hurdling bow in Listed company but a much better performance is forecast here, while Right Now may improve for the fitting of first-time cheekpieces.

Half of these ran at Fontwell on Tuesday and given how testing conditions were, it would be no surprise should they become non-runners. With that in mind preference is for REBEL ANGEL, who has been a prolific winner in French claimers this year can make the perfect start over hurdles for David Pipe. Right Now and Rue de La Mer can chase her home.

Preference is for hurdles debutante REBEL ANGEL, ahead of Right Now, who may improve for headgear.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

INSIDE MAN found only subsequent Aintree winner Liari too good when denied by just less than a length at Wincanton in October. That form is head and shoulders above what the rest with previous experience have to offer and the Jane Williams-trained gelding is hard to oppose. Great Valley is feared most, with his second-placed finish at Kempton last month rated a respectable effort. Kingly Fighter appeals most of the newcomers.

INSIDE MAN pulled clear with a subsequent listed winner on debut and he should make no mistake at the second attempt. Kingly Fighter and Outside Half look the most appealing of the numerous newcomers in opposition.

Unless one of the newcomers turns out to be useful this looks a good chance for INSIDE MAN to build on his debut promising second.

12:30 Newcastle Handicap Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NO CRUISE YET found only a subsequent winner too strong at Sedgefield in October. Sam England's charge is only 2lb higher in the ratings and compensation could await, with East Street feared most. The seven-year-old displayed a willing attitude to lands the spoils at Wetherby last month and a 3lb rise is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. Court At Slip completes the shortlist.

NO CRUISE YET shaped well on his return when runner-up at Sedgefield and can go one better with that form working out well. C&D winner Court At Slip is weighted to go close and can pose the chief threat to Sam England's likeable chaser ahead of East Street, who can also have a say if on his A-game.

Preference is for NO CRUISE YET (nap), who was second in the Durham National last time and whose surplus stamina may well be a plus.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

QUAI DE BOURBON jumped right in two French runs as a three-year-old but nonetheless showed form and reappears for top connections. Pulled up having been hampered when racing green on debut, he again jumped right when finishing fourth at Auteuil last November. Going right-handed is concerning but he looks smart and has heavy-ground form. D Art D Art won in testing conditions on January bumper debut and while well held at Cheltenham, should be well suited by this distance as his Gowran win was achieved in the manner of a stayer. Cut The Rope is race-fit but is vulnerable to smart types. October bumper winner Will Wilde debuts over hurdles while Fenway Park is race-fit and has some place claims. Elusive Prince might improve from his Punchestown run while Glen Kiln finished second in a lesser maiden at Limerick. Grooveykindoflove was a 125,000-euro three-year-old and is out of an well-bred unraced dam.

CUT THE ROPE made a good start over hurdles at Limerick was in the process of improving on that when coming down late on at Gowran Park last month. He gets the nod. Willie Mullins new recruit Quai de Bourbon must be respected, particularly if the market speaks in his favour, whilst Fenway Park should also go well.

It could be worth siding with Sligo bumper winner WILL WILDE who should be suited by trip and ground

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BOB BOB RICARD can count himself slightly unfortunate having bumped into a couple of useful prospects on his last two starts and the gelding could gain compensation. Globe Player has proven himself to be a consistent performer and must enter the reckoning. The booking of Nico de Boinville aboard Mel Rowley's point-to-point winner Mahland catches the eye and he is worth a second look on his Rules debut.

HIGH TREASON showed plenty in a brace of bumpers last season and promises to be suited by the much longer trip, so he's selected to make a winning start over hurdles for a bang in-form stable. Bob Bob Ricard shaped promisingly when runner-up on his debut in this sphere at Wetherby and is entitled to improve, with Theformismighty another to consider now that his yard is in much better form.

On bumper/hurdles form BOB BOB RICARD has the best chance. Globe Player is second choice.

FIERCELY PROUD created a favourable impression when winning comfortably at Hereford last month and is a likely type to brush aside the mandatory 7lb penalty. Geezer Rockstar also impressed when landing a bumper here back in April and, given the second home in that race subsequently made a winning start over hurdles, Harry Fry's gelding enters calculations. Potential improvers Beny Nahar Road and Tregele are a couple of others to note.

Dual-bumper winner FIERCELY PROUD made a promising start to his hurdles career when winning at Hereford on return and can defy a penalty. Geezer Rockstar made a winning debut in a bumper here in April so may emerge as the biggest threat ahead of Avada Kedavra and Beny Nahar Road.

Ben Pauling's FIERCELY PROUD won a pretty good bumper at Cheltenham last season and he confirmed himself a nice prospect at Hereford.

Bradley Harris claims a handy 5lb, which negates most of the 7lb penalty, and the five-year-old should take all of the beating. Workhardplayhard was runner-up on his Rules debut at Sedgefield and may give the selection most to think about, ahead of Both Barrels.

Winning-pointer WORKHARDPLAYHARD produced a promising first effort over hurdles when second at Sedgefield and the 7 lb he receives from penalised-winner Ikarak may prove decisive.

Worcester winner IKARAK has consistently performed at a good level and he is taken to defy the 7lb penalty and follow up.

13:10 Naas Maiden Hurdle 19f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HILLSDALE showed promise in a smart maiden last month and is unexposed. A work-in-progress, he shaped quite nicely at Punchestown and while beaten 24 lengths, the winner is high-class, the placed-horses are able and he conceded 15lb to 95-rated Ivy Hall, which finished sixth. Brennus Lescribaa's chances are more apparent having chased home high-class winners at both Down Royal and Punchestown, when beating 15 rivals in each race. By a leading sire and an 82,000-euro three-year-old purchase, he is dependable but might be vulnerable to an improving selection. It is encouraging that connections have returned Finished Article to training as while she has obviously had training issues, might show form this season. Iron Allen won an ordinary point-to-point and has fair hurdles form.

No depth to this maiden but BRENNUS LESCRIBAA has displayed fair form both starts since being switched to this sphere and he looks the way to go. Hillsdale and Iron Allen can do battle for the forecast spot.

This has little strength in depth and BRENNUS LESCRIBAA can win it with just a reproduction of his fourth placed runs lately.

Not particularly solid on 2023 form; forecast slow surface is another negative.
LTO Selection:

13:20 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Huntingdon bumper winner LAND GENIE has shown plenty in a couple of novice events recently and the gelded son of Flemensfirth could be primed to strike now switched to handicaps. Blue Bikini was never involved over an extended 2m7f at Chepstow in October, but she will appreciate a drop in trip and looks more than capable from an unchanged mark. Hat-trick seeking Chloe's Court and Halifax are also noted.

This can go to GOD'S OWN GETAWAY, who made an encouraging return here last month and likely has more to offer on handicap debut. Land Genie is also a potential improver and is feared most, whilst Exeter-winner Chloe's Court should also go well.

The shortlist comprises the interesting handicap debutants GOD'S OWN GETAWAY, Land Genie and Bataillon.

BALLEE was an emphatic winner over C&D a fortnight ago and he is expected to defy the penalty en route to further success. Larchmont Lass was far from disgraced in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham last month, having landed a similar event at Sandown in March, and she merits respect on the switch to hurdles. Others to note include Time Interval, Jackpot Cash and Baskerville.

BALLEE did plenty wrong but still managed to show improved form when opening his account in a C&D novice 2 weeks ago, marking himself down as a potentially useful prospect. He earns the vote to concede weight all round and make it 2-3 in this sphere. Larchmont Lass was useful in bumpers and she can emerge as the chief danger, with Jamaicaine, Coastal Rock and Baskerville others to note.

Listed bumper winner Larchmont Lass makes appeal but a useful stablemate of hers was beaten by BALLEE over C&D a fortnight ago.

Previous C&D winner Dare To Shout has lacked consistency in recent starts, but the son of Martaline will appreciate forecast ground conditions and must not be ruled out. However, the vote goes to LEBOWSKI, who attracted market support on his seasonal reappearance in October and might step forward on his second outing following wind surgery. War Soldier is another to consider.

Tough to rule out any of the quintet but the vote goes to WAR SOLDIER, who already boasts a couple of course wins and really caught the eye when last seen at Ayr 7 months ago. Provided he's ready to roll, he can get the better of Lebowski, who did too much too soon on return/yard debut at Chepstow in October but should be much closer to form here. Horn Cape looks best of the rest.

Topweight DARE TO SHOUT was well beaten at Aintree last time but is back in much calmer waters today and was progressive previously.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Willie Mullins' Crack The Sky was green on debut at Gowran Park when beaten 10 lengths into second, but should improve for the run. The form of that race hasn't been franked to date, though, so she is swerved for the time being. ONLY BY NIGHT is in good hands and her chance has to be respected as she was last seen winning a Listed mares' bumper at Navan. As a former point-to-point winner, hurdles shouldn't inconvenience her. Gallimh A Run was smart in bumper company in winning at Thurles and this track before finishing sixth in a Grade 2 mares' bumper at Aintree. An absolute plethora of winners have come out of that Liverpool contest, so she is a major player. Magic Dawn bled in that bumper in Aintree and finished out the back. There was merit in her fourth place on hurdle debut at Navan last month, though.

ONLY BY NIGHT and Gaillimh A Run both showed plenty of ability in bumpers with the former taken to make a winning start in this sphere. Crack The Sky and Magic Dawn have made a promising start to their hurdles career and they complete the shortlist.

A dual bumper winner, including in Listed company last time at Navan,ONLY BY NIGHT(nap) also won a point and can take this.

Rated the best of these over hurdles, ETALON is sure to have been well schooled for his chasing debut and is a strong fancy to make a winning start. Fiston De Becon showed some aptitude for jumping with two hurdle successes at the start of this year and can go well if he adapts to the larger obstacle. Blue Beach looks the pick of the rest, with Nico de Boinville a notable jockey booking.

ETALON appeals as the sort to do well over fences so Dan Skelton's newcomer looks the way to go here. Blue Beach is another with the potential to make his mark in this sphere and can pose the main threat ahead of Couldbeaweapon.

This may go the way of ETALON who held his own in Sandown's always-strong EBF Final on his final start over hurdles.

Hardy Boy continues to run well in defeat and he is unlikely to be far away in the first-time visor, but a chance can be taken on GAME WINNER. A shuddering mistake put paid to his chances when sent over fences for the first time at Sandown, but he ought to have learnt plenty from that experience and should fare better dropped in class. Morfee heads the remainder.

HARDY BOY arrives at the top of his game and he's avoided mistakes on the whole the last twice, so he's worth chancing to get his head in front with a visor fitted. Game Winner is a threat on the back of a positive chasing debut and Morfee is likely to be on the premises.

Harry Derham's GAME WINNER ran well for a long way behind Le Patron on his chase/seasonal debut and can build on that promise now.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MAIMIE'S MAGIC is entitled to come on from her fifth place in a big field at Navan last month. That was her first outing for almost seven months and she made up ground at the business end. Furthermore, that effort came in a higher grade which gives hope that she can defy the burden of 12st 4lb. Ivane has winning form on testing ground at Galway in October which makes him dangerous in this company even if he hasn't been at his best on his last couple of starts. Man River showed much more form when third over further at Wexford which gives him claims. Banada Bridge, Go Gill Go and Tuckmill are all in with a shout of landing a cheque.

BANADA BRIDGE can race off a 2 lb lower mark than when a good recent fifth at Wexford so is taken to gain an overdue maiden victory in a handicap where plenty arrive with a question mark against them. Junot could emerge as the chief threat on the back of his good Thurles fourth, with Maimie's Magic and Man River also in the mix.

After being a solid third in a Wexford handicap over 2m4f last time, the Flat-bred MAN RIVER should be better suited by this trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

ARCLIGHT has readily eclipsed her achievements on the Flat and, having comfortably won a Listed chase at Exeter last month (Endless Escape fifth), the four-year-old is hard to oppose. Already rated superior to her five rivals, this might prove to be a straightforward task for Nicky Henderson's improving filly on these terms. Marsh Wren, who landed a mares novice handicap over C&D 22 days ago (Game On For Glory second, Moviddy third), rates the biggest danger to the selection. Endless Escape is third choice.

ARCLIGHT isn't the biggest but she's shown a real suitability for chasing to this point and she's fancied to maintain her unbeaten record over fences. Marsh Wren could pose the main threat having made a successful reappearance over C&D and Endless Escape can't be fully dismissed.

Arclight isn't a certain stayer over this new trip. MARSH WREN (nap) is a solid alternative. Endless Escape is also in the mix.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

AMERICAN SNIPER mowed down his rivals in an open heat at Cheltenham last month, with David Pipe noting that his charge had benefitted from the application of a first-time tongue-tie (retained). The five-year-old is 6lb higher, but he'll be a tough nut to crack if arriving in a similar mood. Amelia's Dance appeals as a leading candidate following a brace of runner-up efforts, while Individualiste could also have a say.

A case can be made for a few of these but it is worth siding with Paul Nicholls' low-mileage 5-y-o INDIVIDUALISTE to capitalise on a handy-looking mark. Recent Cheltenham scorer American Sniper rates a massive threat though, while Swaffham Bulbeck can also have a say now his sights are lowered.

Iorens is one of several dangers but the in-form AMELIA'S DANCE looks to have solid claims on a course she runs so well.

14:50 Newcastle Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FOR THREE may be winless since July 2021, but he has shown green shoots since joining the Sam England stable and must hold every chance if bouncing back to the form of his penultimate second at Sedgefield. Ingennio should be suited by dropping in trip after a creditable effort over further at Uttoxeter, while Hashtag Lord also has the form to get involved.

FOR THREE was keener than ideal at Sedgefield last time but is given another chance to build on the form of an encouraging stable debut in a race which looks as if it should be run to suit. Ingennio has slipped to a handy mark and has shaped as if in decent heart on his recent outings, so heads the list of dangers alongside Ballyquin Bay.

The mare BRIDGET BREEZE is much better than she showed on her handicap debut and is the selection ahead of Ingennio.

LTO Selection:

14:55 Naas Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Stuart Crawford's POPPY ROSE was an eye-catcher in third at Navan and appeals off 1lb higher. A good run from her stablemate, Maimie's Magic, in the preceding race on the card would be encouraging as she was just behind Poppy Rose in fifth at Navan. Young Fitzy didn't run badly at all in third over this trip in Limerick and is certainly on a mark he can be effective off while Derby De Thaix ran a cracker in third in a qualified riders' maiden hurdle at Sligo. That run confirmed that he can handle soft ground. This trip looks a bit short for Wee Jerry, but he likes to get on with it and it would be dangerous to give him too much rope in first-time cheekpieces. Special Protector was placed in three races on the Flat including on heavy ground in Galway at the end of October. She is of some interest as she tries hurdling again.

YOUNG FITZY is on a career-low mark and turned in his best effort of the season when third at Limerick last time, so he's worth a chance to build on that. The in-form Poppy Rose deserves respect and market support would look significant for handicap debutant Container Madness.

POPPY ROSE doesn't need to improve much on the form of her Navan third on return to get off the mark.

LTO Selection:

15:05 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SPECIAL ACCEPTANCE posted a solid second on his seasonal bow at Huntingdon last month and a 3lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to prevent the veteran from going one place better in this contest. Art Decco is 2lb lower than his respectable third at Chepstow in November and is unlikely to be far away. Robert Walford's inmate may emerge as the chief threat, ahead of Gold Emery.

ART DECCO looks set for a decent season over fences judged on his good third at Chepstow on return. Gold Emery can be expected to leave his reappearance run behind with his yard in much better form, while Special Acceptance is back down in class after his creditable second at Huntingdon on his return.

The low-mileage 7yos ART DECCO and Gold Emery make most appeal, in that order of preference.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Taunton Handicap Chase (Class 3) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

HEROS won a shade cosily on his chase bow over C&D last month and the six-year-old is fancied to shrug off a 6lb rise in the ratings. Can You Call lost little in defeat when runner-up on his reappearance in a competitive handicap chase at Chepstow in October and may give the selection most to think about, ahead of Guy, who should appreciate the return to his last winning distance.

HEROS improved on his hurdles form at the first attempt when making a winning chase debut over this C&D on return and can defy a 6 lb rise with further progress on the cards. Can You Call was a good second at Chepstow on his comeback and is a clear next best.

With the form boosted, a 6lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent HEROS (nap) adding to last month's C&D chase debut success.

This can go the way of GET A SUPERSTAR, who put up a strong performance on his debut for new connections when runner-up at Carlisle in October. That form seems to set the standard in this contest and he should have too much for Roebuck Bay, who shaped with promise on her debut at Kelso. Ilitch and well-bred newcomer Frankie Lamb cannot be ruled out either.

GET A SUPERSTAR built on his bumper debut back in the spring when runner-up on debut for his new yard at Carlisle in October and a repeat here may be enough to see him go one place better. Tigga Time, successful on his only start in points, is another to consider, with Roebuck Bay and Frankie Lamb completing the shortlist.

Carlisle runner-up GET A SUPERSTAR sets the form standard and is preferred ahead of the newcomer Frankie Lamb.

15:30 Naas NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WINGMEN could be an exciting recruit to the racetrack. He made 250,000 guineas at the Sales after cruising home by 12 lengths in a testing-ground point-to-point back in January. The horse he beat into second has since landed a bumper in Ballinrobe. Iris Emery lost her action and was pulled up in a bumper at Gowran Park. She went off favourite for that contest, though, so much better can be expected here. Typhoon Flyer attracted support at big prices in Listowel and finished third. That was a fair effort behind the two market leaders, so he isn't out of it.

WINGMEN marked himself down as a very good prospect when running out a 12-length winner of his only start in points and could well be the way to go now starting out in bumpers for his powerful stable. Typhoon Flyer showed plenty when third on debut at Listowel in September and is feared, with Iris Emery likely to leave the form of her debut run behind back from 9 months off.

A likely Elliott-Mullins showdown in which WINGMEN, a point winner in January, may get the better of Irish Emery

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

VALGRAND was far from disgraced on his Rules debut when second in a Cheltenham bumper in October and a similar level of performance may suffice. Unsinkable Molly B offered plenty to work with when runner-up on her debut at Wetherby in March and the five-year-old is likely to be in the mix again, with Junker D'allier another who looks capable of winning in this sphere.

VALGRAND showed plenty of ability when runner-up at Cheltenham and he's fancied to go one better in this decent contest. Unsinkable Molly B and Junker d'Allier also filled the same position on their debuts and have to be respected, with preference between the pair for Jonjo O'Neill's mare.

The percentage call goes to VALGRAND, ahead of Unsinkable Molly B. Les's Destiny Star looks best of the newcomers.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GYLLEN was most impressive when romping home over 2m3f here last month and Kayley Woollacott's gelding may be able to find enough improvement on the step up to 3m to defy a 13lb rise in the handicap. Dangers are aplenty, headed by the hat-trick seeking Mactavish, who should also improve for this extra yardage. Fellow last-time-out winners Wot You Wearing and Top Cloud are likely to make their presence felt too.

A competitive handicap with plenty arriving in form. KARAKORAM has dipped below his last winning mark and confirmed his return to form here a couple of weeks ago, so he's the tentative selection. Hat-trick seekers Wot You Wearing and Mactavish head up the opposition.

Kayley Woollacott's GYLLEN cruised clear to win very stylishly over 2m3f here a fortnight ago and is taken to overcome a 13lb rise.

BOLD STYLE hit the woodwork on his racecourse debut and natural progression might be enough to see Charlie Appleby's colt come home in front. Hutchence attracted market support at Newmarket last month but was perhaps unsuited by the testing conditions. The son of Frankel could well fare better here, while Space Legend, Mimasusa and Ville Natale are all interesting newcomers.

BOLD STYLE ran to a fairly useful level despite an unfavourable draw and greenness when second at Wolverhampton on debut and looks the one to beat. Hutchence had little go right at Newmarket and can be expected to do much better, while Ville Natale and Space Legend are a couple of newcomers to note.

The vote goes the way of Godolphin's BOLD STYLE on the back of his promising debut second at Wolverhampton.

LTO Selection:

18:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A lofty weight proved to be no problem for ALFRED when taking his record on the all-weather to 2-3 at Wolverhampton three weeks ago and a subsequent 9lb hike might not be enough to stop George Boughey's progressive gelding. Habrdi (winner) is now 8lb worse off with Gaiden (second) for their recent clash, but the son of Calyx is expected to confirm that form. Handicap debutant Sun God is no back number, nor is C&D winner Monks Mead.

A really interesting nursery despite the small-field, with ALFRED fancied to complete the hat-trick at the chief expense of the similarly-thriving Habrdi, the pair both impressive winners on their previous outings. Gaiden did well under the circumstances when runner-up at Wolverhampton last time and makes most appeal of the remainder in a contest where all 5 hold claims.

An interesting clash between fast-improving pair ALFRED and Habrdi, with narrow preference for the former.

18:30 Chelmsford Stakes (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LORD NORMANDY shaped with promise over 1m here on his racecourse bow. The son of Le Havre ought to appreciate a step up in trip and, from his low draw, might be worth siding with. Claxton Bay has been running with credit in handicap company of late and he merits consideration, along with the consistent Prometeo, who could improve for the application of first-time cheekpieces.

LORD NORMANDY offered encouragement first time out and this doesn't look a particularly strong event, so he takes marginal preference over Prometeo, who has achieved a bit more to this point. King's School is also considered.

Sun Dancer Girl rates a likely big improver but KING'S SCHOOL can step up on his two promising runs now upped in trip.

19:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Turned out again quickly after an impressive success over C&D last week, PENZANCE should be able to handle a 6lb penalty as he looks to follow up on just his third start for new connections. Storm Catcher has been in fine form of late and he can give the selection most to think about, while Polling Day may improve on his most recent effort at Lingfield.

PENZANCE opened his account for Mick Appleby in taking fashion over C&D a week ago and, if he handles the quick turnaround, he should be able to follow up. Storm Catcher is the obvious danger on the back of a career-best effort and Polling Day can't be ruled out on just his second outing for Archie Watson.

Penzance will be popular after last week's easy C&D win but the progressive STORM CATCHER (nap) could have his measure tonight.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Narrowly denied on his last two starts, MR TRICK deserves a change in luck and he can get that on this occasion. The five-year-old has dropped 4lb below his last winning mark and he gets the vote ahead of the likes of Headingley and Cavalluccio, who was a determined winner over C&D on his penultimate outing. Coolree and Nikki's Girl are entitled to be thereabouts as well.

A few with chances but MR TRICK is knocking on the door and can race off the same mark as when a close Wolverhampton second last time out so edges the vote. Cavalluccio is already a three-time scorer this term and can have a say along with Clipsham Gold, who didn't enjoy the rub of the greeen when a recent fourth over C&D.

While it's hard to be certain quite how much ability HEADINGLEY retains, he is a potential class act in a 0-70.

FANTASTIC FOX made the most of a handy mark to notch a brace of wins on his last two starts and is hard to resist in his bid to complete the hat-tirck, despite going up 4lb after his latest success. Desert Order is noteworthy with his attempt to complete the same feat after wins at York and Newmarket. Gelded since, he commands respect on his all-weather debut, while Tacarib Bay completes the shortlist.

FANTASTIC FOX ran out a ready scorer at Newcastle last time and can also boast a C&D success so Roger Varian's 5-y-o looks the way to go in his hat-trick attempt. In-form Rhythm N Rock rates the main danger off a handy-looking mark, with Newcastle-victor Tacarib Bay and the returning Desert Order others who need factoring into an open handicap.

3yos Lord Bertie and DESERT ORDER can dominate proceedings with the latter taken to defy a long absence and fulfil his 2yo promise.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 4) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KYLE OF LOCHALSH finished with a storming run to score over this course and distance last month and is hard to oppose on the back of that comfortable success, despite the imposition of a 6lb higher mark. Fellow last-time-out winner Chase The Dollar is respected making his course debut, while Tradesman is another must for the shortlist as he chases a four-timer.

An ultra-competitive staying handicap with the vote in favour of KYLE OF LOCHALSH. He overcame a pace bias when resuming winning ways over C&D 33 days ago, pulling a long way clear with the runner-up in the process, and he's probably not reached his limit yet. The thriving Tradesman and Queensland Boy head the dangers, with Sun Tracker another to keep an eye on.

In a competitive finale the suggestion is KYLE OF LOCHALSH, who quickened up nicely to score over C&D last month.
