15/2(+12%) | (6) Muskerry Rock 15/2 Third off 104 in C&D handicap last Christmas; 2-4 in points this autumn; likely contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (9) (33/1 -175%)Revolut Ned |
33/1(-175%) | (9) Revolut Ned 33/1 1-9 in points; placed in Tramore hunter chase in April; second on last completed run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (80/1 -220%)Samdegoda |
80/1(-220%) | (10) Samdegoda 80/1 Only okay runs in three points this autumn; probably up against it on rules debut.. |

MUSKERRY ROCK had some fair form under Rules for Mouse Morris and was placed in a handicap over course and distance last season. The Shirocco gelding has won a couple of point-to-points this autumn and his yard had a hurdles winner here on Saturday. West Of Carrig was third in a stronger renewal of this last year and chased home the winner of that race, Con's Roc, at Fairyhouse last month. He can come forward from that first outing in six months and looks a big player. Derek O'Connor's mounts in this sphere always have to be respected and Keep On Dreaming was a fair third on Rules debut at Tipperary in May.

Having run okay in a handicap chase over C&D last Christmas, MUSKERRY ROCK is selected; he's been in decent form in points lately

1st (5) (6/1 -80%)Lynches Knock |
6/1(-80%) | (5) Lynches Knock 6/1 May reverse Navan form with Kilbarry Lizzy, a useful second string for Hygge's trainer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (13) (5/2 +38%)Kilbarry Lizzy |
5/2(+38%) | (13) Kilbarry Lizzy 5/2 Placed on both starts, not certain to uphold Navan form with third-placed Lynches Knock. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (6/4 +33%)Hygge |
6/4(+33%) | (4) Hygge 6/4 Faded from two out when favourite at Fairyhouse, has an edge over Circle Of Secrets. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (14/1 -75%)Circle Of Secrets |
14/1(-75%) | (2) Circle Of Secrets 14/1 Satisfactory introduction when fourth at Fairyhouse, 7l to find with third-placed Hygge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (33/1 -50%)Queen Maeve |
33/1(-50%) | (14) Queen Maeve 33/1 By Walk In The Park, good pedigree, potentially interesting filly in the Magnier colours. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (25/1 -127%)Try Them |
25/1(-127%) | (9) Try Them 25/1 Hooded for debut, trainer also runs the once-raced Circle Of Secrets, worth a market check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (15) (80/1 -264%)Shirzan |
80/1(-264%) | (15) Shirzan 80/1 Half-sister to two Flat winners; winning dam a half-sister to Group 2 winner Eleonora Duse. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (9/1 -13%)O'grady Cracker |
9/1(-13%) | (7) O'grady Cracker 9/1 Failed to live up to market expectations at Naas a fortnight ago, cheekpieces tried now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (11) (250/1 -25%)Datzdjazz |
250/1(-25%) | (11) Datzdjazz 250/1 Dropped away to finish a remote eighth at Cork, in rear at Naas, safe to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (150/1 -200%)Chief Josef |
150/1(-200%) | (1) Chief Josef 150/1 Sixth at Navan, appears well held by the placed horses Kilbarry Lizzy and Lynches Knock. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (80/1 -60%)Starword |
80/1(-60%) | (8) Starword 80/1 Dam an unraced half-sister to three dual-purpose winners for this yard and other winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

4/1(+92%) | (3) Ddakji 4/1 Unraced dam comes from a good family, could go well here for rookie trainer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (10) (150/1 -127%)Copper Rocker |
150/1(-127%) | (10) Copper Rocker 150/1 Down the field on debut, remote fifth at Navan, held by Kilbarry Lizzy and Lynches Knock. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (12) (250/1 -150%)Eitilt |
250/1(-150%) | (12) Eitilt 250/1 Struggled from an early stage in a Punchestown event in which Kilbarry Lizzy was third. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (6) (18/1 -13%)Mischievous Fun |
18/1(-13%) | (6) Mischievous Fun 18/1 Solid Flat pedigree, apparent second-string for the trainer of O'Grady Cracker. |

O'GRADY CRACKER was sent off favourite for his first start at Naas. The subject of sustained market support, Andy Slattery's gelding ultimately disappointed, but he should step forward from that initial experience and may benefit from the application of cheekpieces. Slattery also saddles newcomer Mischievous Fun, with Gordon Elliott, Emmet Mullins and Ciaran Murphy also doubly represented. The choice of Jack Kennedy, Hygge appears the pic of Elliott's pair, while going on form alone, the twice-placed Kilbarry Lizzy is the one they all have to beat.

Gordon Elliott saddles two who have shown promise, and HYGGE is slightly preferred to Lynches Knock

1st (2) (1/6 +8%)The Four Sixes |
1/6(+8%) | (2) The Four Sixes 1/6 Useful hurdler who won a match over fences in October; has another good opportunity here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/2 +0%)Aeros Luck |
9/2(+0%) | (1) Aeros Luck 9/2 Useful form when winning in Ireland in June but has lost his way since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (25/1 +50%)Chumlee |
25/1(+50%) | (3) Chumlee 25/1 Fourth in low-grade C&D handicap last month; faces tough task at these weights. |

It's difficult to look beyond the 144-rated THE FOUR SIXES, who is likely to find this a lot easier than his latest sixth in a handicap hurdle at Haydock. The seven-year-old previously made all over fences at Wetherby and he's a clear pick. Although Aeros Luck has yet to cut much ice in two starts for Sandy Thomson, he looks the obvious danger to the selection, ahead of Chumlee.

The most obvious answer is very useful hurdler THE FOUR SIXES, who easily won a match race when back over fences in October.

1st (2) (11/10 +20%)Blue Las |
11/10(+20%) | (2) Blue Las 11/10 Something to prove regarding stamina/jumping but could have more to offer in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/6 -17%)Maximilian |
4/6(-17%) | (1) Maximilian 4/6 Grade 2 novice hurdle win here in 2023; went close on recent chase debut; strong claims. |

Maximilian displayed more verve when second on his chasing bow at Haydock and any improvement for that seasonal reappearance can see this go right to the wire. However, it could be worth taking a chance on BLUE LAS, who receives 7lb from Donald McCain's charge and she shapes as if stepping up in trip could unlock some improvement on just her third start over fences.

Blue Las is a talented mare but jumping has been an issue on her two chase starts which tips the scales in favour of MAXIMILIAN.

5th (7) (6/1 -33%)A Great Buzz |
6/1(-33%) | (7) A Great Buzz 6/1 Back from 10 months off when beating James The Brave at Punchestown; up 7lb, more to come. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (12/1 +25%)Slotty Dotty |
12/1(+25%) | (6) Slotty Dotty 12/1 Placed at Fairyhouse but beaten 30l latest; softer ground a help and good claimer booked. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (10/1 +60%)Way Down South |
10/1(+60%) | (9) Way Down South 10/1 Maiden hurdle winner here a year ago; ran okay on handicap chase debut at Thurles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (66/1 -65%)Zolpharine |
66/1(-65%) | (11) Zolpharine 66/1 Second 4 times over fences including at Killarney in August; not coming here in great form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (28/1 -12%)Shotgun Jack |
28/1(-12%) | (8) Shotgun Jack 28/1 Dual hurdles winner two years ago, ran okay in Galway festival beginners'; handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (2) (50/1 +0%)Your Honor |
50/1(+0%) | (2) Your Honor 50/1 Won nice pot over hurdles here two years ago; hasn't run too badly in chases; good amateur. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (5/2 +25%)Hees Dynamite |
5/2(+25%) | (4) Hees Dynamite 5/2 In fine form this year and has won two of his last three chases; stays well and ground ok. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (7/1 -27%)James The Brave |
7/1(-27%) | (5) James The Brave 7/1 Killarney winner was narrowly beaten by A Great Buzz over 3m (heavy) at Punchestown. |

DUFFYS HODEY has a lot in his favour and should be hard to beat off bottom-weight. Trip and ground will suit Philip Rothwell's runner, who has a hurdles mark of 112 but can run off just 84 here. He proved that the disparity in ratings was not just an advantage on paper when chasing home a subsequent winner in a Fairyhouse chase last month and should be sharper for that first outing since February. Hees Dynamite comes here in great form but has to give 25lb to the selection. A Great Buzz and James The Brave are closely matched on Punchestown running and have progressive profiles.

Second to an improver at Fairyhouse, DUFFYS HODEY (nap) has gone up a few pounds but is still chucked in compared to his hurdles mark

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (9/2 +44%)Graecia |
9/2(+44%) | (8) Graecia 9/2 Can race keenly but a consistent filly who has been running well in 2m handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (6/1 +8%)Tour Ovalie |
6/1(+8%) | (5) Tour Ovalie 6/1 Won this last year and returns on the back of a return to form at Ludlow; handy mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (11/2 -22%)Miss Altea Blue |
11/2(-22%) | (3) Miss Altea Blue 11/2 Sixth in her previous handicap but looks to have turned a corner after wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (3/1 +33%)Rula Bula |
3/1(+33%) | (2) Rula Bula 3/1 Carlisle winner in November; worrying that last season petered out after a positive start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (14/1 +65%)Lagertha |
14/1(+65%) | (6) Lagertha 14/1 Retains potential and comeback run in a Stratford handicap (2m, good) was mildly promising. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (14/1 +44%)Golden Falls |
14/1(+44%) | (7) Golden Falls 14/1 A winner in France; this is more realistic than the assignment she faces on UK debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (10/1 -100%)Arclight |
10/1(-100%) | (1) Arclight 10/1 Dual hurdle winnner; 10lb lower than when runner-up in a chase in September. |

All of these have claims, but none more so than WHITE NOISE. The five-year-old bolted up on her handicap debut at Market Rasen in November and, given the strength of that form, even a 10lb rise may still underestimate her. Arclight is well handicapped compared to her chase mark now returned to hurdles and she is an obvious danger. Others to note are Rula Bula and Miss Altea Blue.

It's hard to rule out any of these. WHITE NOISE is progressive, unexposed and marginally preferred over Arclight.

2nd (9) (11/4 +17%)Jalon D'oudairies |
11/4(+17%) | (9) Jalon D'oudairies 11/4 Classy bumper horse; encouraging second after an absence on hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (40/1 -100%)Rusty Harkness |
40/1(-100%) | (10) Rusty Harkness 40/1 Naas debut wasn't devoid of promise but he's the stable second string here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (25/1 +24%)Irish Champ |
25/1(+24%) | (8) Irish Champ 25/1 Recent point winner but the runner-up was making it 0-7 in that scene. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (3/1 -33%)Dani Donadoni |
3/1(-33%) | (2) Dani Donadoni 3/1 Bumper winner and probably succumbed to a good horse in his first maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (300/1 -100%)Double Power |
300/1(-100%) | (3) Double Power 300/1 Unable to win any of his nine points and highly unlikely that he'll be winning this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (3/1 -33%)Forty Coats |
3/1(-33%) | (5) Forty Coats 3/1 Fourth in a Grade 1 at Cheltenham in March; hard to beat if repeating that level of form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (50/1 -52%)Gallant George |
50/1(-52%) | (7) Gallant George 50/1 Runner-up in a point last month but that doesn't look strong form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (100/1 -100%)Kaleo Ametsa |
100/1(-100%) | (12) Kaleo Ametsa 100/1 No closer than 11l in four bumpers; fell three out when 22-1 for hurdling debut at Cork. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (25/1 -56%)Dysart Dolomite |
25/1(-56%) | (4) Dysart Dolomite 25/1 Ayr bumper winner; his run in a Fairyhouse maiden was too bad to be true. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (300/1 -20%)Attanagh |
300/1(-20%) | (1) Attanagh 300/1 Tailed off and pulled up in his first two maidens and was huge odds on both occasions. |

A quality contest, with plenty of winners likely to emerge from this in the coming weeks and months. Gordon Elliott, Willie Mullins and Henry de Bromhead are all doubly represented, with Elliott's JALON D'OUDAIRIES the selection. Out of action for over 20 months after finishing third in the Champion Bumper of 2024, he was second on his return at Cork last month. Likely to step forward from that initial experience over flights, it'll be disappointing if he's not involved towards the business end. An excellent fourth when last seen in the Turners Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, Forty Coats is an obvious danger, while the Denis Hogan-trained Frankie John, point-to-point winner Irish Champ and the Paul Townend-ridden Dani Donadoni are other leading contenders.

If FORTY COATS approaches the form he produced when fourth in the 2m5f Grade 1 at Cheltenham in March then he'll take the beating.

7/2(+30%) | (5) Blakey Boy 7/2 Fell on chase debut but subsequent second of four at Newcastle was a pretty good effort. |

3rd (4) (11/2 +8%)Court At Slip |
11/2(+8%) | (4) Court At Slip 11/2 4-15 over fences; ran well behind Super Citizen last month; still well treated on old form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (12/1 -167%)Super Citizen |
12/1(-167%) | (3) Super Citizen 12/1 Won in refitted cheekpieces last month but this veteran has become hard to predict. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (9/4 +32%)Great Notions |
9/4(+32%) | (1) Great Notions 9/4 Former pointer/hunter chase; returned from break with two good handicap runs last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (20/1 -43%)Skyhill |
20/1(-43%) | (6) Skyhill 20/1 Off since February but returned from a layoff to win this race by 14l a year ago. |

GOLDEN POINT's jumping improved a bundle when landing the spoils over an extended 2m7f here last month and there should be more to come. A 5lb higher mark looks manageable for the six-year-old, with this step up in distance forecast to suit. Super Citizen arrives on the back of a triumph at Carlisle and isn't taken lightly given his liking for this course, while Great Notions cannot be dismissed easing in class.

Still unexposed over fences, GOLDEN POINT does not look harshly treated by a 5lb rise for her course win six weeks ago.

11/8(+83%) | (3) Laysoft 11/8 Bumper winner who was 24l third over C&D on hurdle debut and is open to improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

11/1(+67%) | (2) Flame Dancer 11/1 Showed little across her four Flat starts for David Loughnane; makes hurdle/stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (9/1 -64%)Fitzroy Gardens |
9/1(-64%) | (1) Fitzroy Gardens 9/1 Irish AW winner; sold for 21,000gns in October; could give good account on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (5) (100/1 -203%)Melosa |
100/1(-203%) | (5) Melosa 100/1 Well beaten on final Flat start then sold for 1,000gns; may be best watched on h'dle debut. |

Although unable to justify favouritism when third on her hurdles bow at Warwick earlier this month, that experience should stand MADE U BLUSH in good stead. This looks a suitable opportunity for the Dan Skelton-trained filly to open her account and she gets the nod over Laysoft. The daughter of Churchill may have gone too fast on timber debut over C&D and isn't taken lightly. Hurdling newcomers Fitzroy Gardens and Penn Avenue are others to note.

Made U Blush has leading claims but was beaten at 1-2 last time and a chance is taken on RITAAN now down in grade.

50/1(-25%) | (9) Loulouless 50/1 No show in maidens, well beaten at 40-1 on handicap bow latest, hard to fancy. |

ONEFORTHEDITCH won twice on better ground last year but has no problem handling a more testing surface and may be rewarded for her consistency. She has been placed on her last four starts, including twice over fences, and bumped into a well-treated rival over 2m here last time. Stepping back up in trip will suit her and new rider Calum Hogan takes off a valuable 7lb. Ballinaboola Jet won over this trip at Clonmel and reverts to hurdles after finishing a fair fourth in a chase at Naas. Kilbrin Rocco finished strongly when second over fences here on Friday, while Hakensack ran his best race so far when third at Cork but that form has taken a few knocks since.

A tentative vote goes to CHEMDAWG who looked ready for a step back up to this sort of trip at Clonmel last time

100/1(-150%) | (3) Gulf Coast Highway 100/1 Made the frame in Tramore bumper for Andy Slattery. |

Despite there being some exciting prospects in this field, it is very hard to oppose ACT OF INNOCENCE. Nicky Henderson's gelding created a big impression when scoring over C&D on his hurdling debut in November and he can take this race on his way to bigger targets. Minella Yoga was bought for 360,000 pounds after his Fairyhouse win and has to be noted as a result. Blues Singer edges out Razors Edge to be best of the rest.

The form pick is ACT OF INNOCENCE. Minella Yoga and Razors Edge are interesting once-raced contenders.

16/1(-14%) | (9) Tequila Talkin' 16/1 Winner of a Wexford maiden but backward steps since then in two handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (8/1 +11%)Give Him A Chance |
8/1(+11%) | (8) Give Him A Chance 8/1 Both wins on good ground; given a lot to do last time on a slower surface at Navan. |

MA JACKS HILL struggled to land a blow in a Grade 3 at Navan last month but warrants the utmost respect now running in handicap company for the first time with blinkers applied. Others for the shortlist in this competitive affair are Philip Rothwell's Give Him A Chance, three-time winner Sunny South West and recent well-backed Fairyhouse victor Fierce Handay.

Cases can be made for a few but FIERCE HANDAY arrives here on the back of a clear career best and he could be very progressive.

11/1(+8%) | (5) Old Comrades 11/1 Bought for £58,000 after Irish point win in May; market helpful on rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (80/1 -21%)Ivan's Legacy |
80/1(-21%) | (7) Ivan's Legacy 80/1 Soundly beaten over 2m here on hurdle debut and needs to learn to settle much better. |

Smart Flat performer TASHKHAN made a winning hurdles bow at Hexham earlier this month and this sharper track looks a positive move. Brian Ellison's gelding is open to improvement and is slightly more appealing than Imperfectlyperfect. The five-year-old found a Grade 2 at Cheltenham a step too far, but he should prove far more competitive in these calmer waters. Country Code and Burncourt Boy are others of interest.

Preference is for COUNTRY CODE, who delivered on the promise shown in Irish points when scoring on his hurdling debut.

25/1(0%) | (6) It's Party Time 25/1 Every chance when running out in his second Irish point; had wind surgery. |

TIDDESLEY WOOD built on his promising hurdles bow at Aintree when opening his account at Windsor last month. The five-year-old looks capable of better and he edges the vote in a tricky contest. Doctor Blue shares the same official rating as the selection and, despite giving weight to all of his rivals, must enter the reckoning. Huntingdon winner Draco Malfoy adds further spice to the mix.

The penalty asks a question of him but DOCTOR BLUE has made a very bright start to his hurdling career.

10th (2) (6/1 +14%)Slurricane |
6/1(+14%) | (2) Slurricane 6/1, Scored by a length off a 50lb lower mark at Galway two runs ago; improved again when third beaten 6l off 125 last time; that form franked emphatically last week; effective at 2m and acts on any going; a progressive hurdler. Fifth in Fred Winter off 1lb lower, solid run at Fairyhouse latest, should go well again. |

11th (3) (50/1 -52%)Ephesus |
50/1(-52%) | (3) Ephesus 50/1, Won by 2l off a 47lb lower mark at Roscommon in October; below form when sixth beaten 19l off 120 last time; effective at 2m, acts on soft and good ground; inconsistent performer in both codes. Below best since Flat win in October, beaten 19l off this mark latest, needs to revive. |

12th (6) (12/1 +25%)Castleheath |
12/1(+25%) | (6) Castleheath 12/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Dundalk last time; had been in good form in both codes beforehand. Flat winner, 1-6 over hurdles, in decent fettle on the level recently, big player. |

SLURRICANE ran a big race last time in a competitive event at Fairyhouse and can land a nice pot now. He finished third in the end that day and remains on the same mark. Lenjoleur De Palma was an easy winner on his last visit here. He got a 9lb hike for that wide margin win but could still have a few pounds up his sleeve. Rakki is another to consider.

CASTLEHEATH will enjoy the testing conditions, his rider takes off a valuable 7lb and he's been in decent form on the Flat

9/4(+78%) | (5) Old Cowboy 9/4, Outpaced but ran to form on chase debut when 17l third in a handicap chase at Warwick on latest outing. Effective at 2m and best around 2½m; should make a better chaser but may need slightly further than this trip. Remote third on chase debut at 2m and his best hurdle form was over further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (4/1 +0%)Pleasington |
4/1(+0%) | (1) Pleasington 4/1, Flattened out after a late mistake when stepped up in trip, running below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Aintree last time. Effective at 2m and handles soft ground but has a bit to prove over fences. Dual hurdle winner; went close on chase debut and made a serious mistake last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/1 -40%)Rath Gaul Hill |
7/1(-40%) | (4) Rath Gaul Hill 7/1, Found little and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap chase here last time. Cheekpieces applied for the first time. Effective at 2m and on soft or good to soft ground; progressive before latest run, has a good record at Newbury. 3-8 over fences; tailed off here a month ago after 240 days off; cheekpieces added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (22/1 +12%)Joker De Mai |
22/1(+12%) | (2) Joker De Mai 22/1, Needed the run when well held in a handicap chase at Cheltenham last time. The trainer is in form. Effective from 2m to 2½m and handles soft ground; form dipped in spring but remains fairly treated on best efforts. A quiet run at Cheltenham only 16 days ago leaves him with a bit to prove here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/4 -120%)Jorebel |
11/4(-120%) | (3) Jorebel 11/4, Won easily, improving again when landing a handicap by 17l off a 10lb lower mark at Plumpton last time. Effective from 2m to 2½m, suited by a sound surface and handles soft going; still progressing, with debut form working out well. Big improver over hurdles after returning from a break and now 2-2 as a chaser. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (5/1 +17%)Mon Champion |
5/1(+17%) | (6) Mon Champion 5/1, Outpaced and unsuited by the drop in trip on stable debut when second, beaten 18l in a handicap chase at Sandown last time. Effective from 2m to 2m6f and handles heavy ground; interesting prospect having joined a top yard, should benefit from a step back up in trip. No match for the winner at Sandown but positives to take from that performance. |

JOREBEL has won five of his last six starts and even a 10lb rise for his 17-length success at Plumpton last time may still underestimate Chris Gordon's six-year-old. Pleasington disappointed over 2m4f at Aintree most recently but he should not be written off back in distance, while Mon Champion edges out Old Cowboy to be the pick of the remainder.

Some of these have a bit to prove but not JOREBEL (nap) who continues to go from strength to strength. He can defy a 10lb rise.

1st (1) (8/15 -33%)Wodhooh |
8/15(-33%) | (1) Wodhooh 8/15, Travelled smoothly and won cosily, outclassing rivals when dropped in grade to take the Ascot Hurdle (Grade 2) by 2 1/2l on reappearance. Effective over 2 1/2m and highly progressive, with her only hurdles defeat coming against a top-class rival. Has matured into a top-class mare, 8-9 over hurdles, looks a cut above these opponents. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/2 +36%)Feet Of A Dancer |
7/2(+36%) | (3) Feet Of A Dancer 7/2, Did it cosily and improved when benefitting from a drop in grade to win the Grabel Mares Hurdle (Listed) at Punchestown by 9l last time. Effective from 2m to 3m, handles all goings, and remains consistent. Consistent mare, trip-versatile, 9l winner of a 2m2f Listed event at Punchestown on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (18/1 +10%)Dream On Baby |
18/1(+10%) | (2) Dream On Baby 18/1, Improved when suited by good ground and a positive ride at a sharp track to win the Listed Mares' Hurdle at Kempton by 2l last time. Trainer in form. Effective from 2m to 2 3/4m over hurdles; fairly treated and an improver for handicaps but probably vulnerable in this hot contest. Unenviable task here since she meets Wodhooh on 17lb worse than handicap terms. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (5/1 +0%)Sixandahalf |
5/1(+0%) | (5) Sixandahalf 5/1, Disappointing on hurdles return when second, beaten 3 1/2l, in a Conditions Hurdle at Sligo last time. Back from a short break. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on yielding and good ground. Classy hurdler whose Cheltenham form in spring has been well franked. Runner-up in the Grade 2 Mares' novice at Cheltenham, need tore turn to that level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (80/1 -142%)Mousey Brown |
80/1(-142%) | (4) Mousey Brown 80/1, Outclassed when fourth, beaten 37l, in the Cailin Alainn Mares Hurdle (Listed) at Limerick last time. Returns from a short break. Effective around 2 1/2m on good ground and generally consistent prior to that run but looks out of depth here. Not at her best as a hurdler/chaser this season and not suited by the race conditions here. |

Racing in Ireland for the first time in over two years, this should be straightforward for WODHOOH. The Gordon Elliott-trained five-year-old went from strength to strength last season and boasts an impressive record of eight wins from nine starts over flights. Successful in Grade 2 company on her return at Ascot last month, she is by far the highest rated runner in the line-up. Easily dismissing some quality rivals when last seen in a Listed heat at Punchestown, Feet Of A Dancer is the danger. A model of consistency, she should give a good account of herself with Sean O'Keeffe aboard. Second in the Ryanair Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, Sixandahalf also warrants respect.

Beaten only once over hurdles, WODHOOH has consolidated her reputation on a series of visits to Britain. She stands out in this company

1st (10) (5/2 -25%)They Want Me |
5/2(-25%) | (10) They Want Me 5/2, Good effort on first run after a wind operation when second, beaten 11l, in a novice hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee last time; effective at 2m and acts on soft; probably has more to come. No match for recent Grade 1 winner when second on hurdle debut but a big player here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (15/8 -7%)They're Chancers |
15/8(-7%) | (9) They're Chancers 15/8, A bit keen but made a very promising debut when winning a bumper at Ayr by 3l; trainer in form and returns from a layoff; could be a contender. Created good impression when winning Ayr bumper on debut in January. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (15/2 -25%)Lance Les Des |
15/2(-25%) | (5) Lance Les Des 15/2, Produced a solid effort when 4 1/2l third in a novice hurdle here last time; effective at 2m and handles heavy and good to soft; some promise in maidens and a novice, a contender. Respectable third over C&D this month, after a long layoff. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (20/1 +20%)Lester Mail |
20/1(+20%) | (6) Lester Mail 20/1, Poor hurdle debut when finishing down the field in a maiden here last time; returns after a short break; effective at 2m and acts on good; Kelso bumper winner who should do much better than on debut. Won modest course bumper in April but soundly beaten over C&D on hurdle debut in October. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (9/2 +55%)Party In The Park |
9/2(+55%) | (8) Party In The Park 9/2, Outpaced and modest on debut when comfortably held in a Newcastle maiden hurdle last time; likely to want further than 2m in time. Not disgraced when sixth of seven in quite valuable Newcastle maiden on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (66/1 -164%)Knockeranna Rose |
66/1(-164%) | (4) Knockeranna Rose 66/1, Didn't see it out on heavy ground after a break when comfortably held in a Hexham maiden hurdle last time; effective at 2m and acts on good; solid bumper form and likely to improve on second hurdle start. Close second in Carlisle in October, and had possible ground excuse on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (12/1 -20%)Linalene |
12/1(-20%) | (7) Linalene 12/1, Ran to bumper form on his second start over hurdles when fourth, beaten 8 1/2l, in a novice here last time; effective at 2m and handles soft and good; a contender. Didn't get far on hurdling debut but last month's C&D fourth was quite encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (11) (200/1 -100%)Changemyluck |
200/1(-100%) | (11) Changemyluck 200/1, Poor effort when well beaten in a Newcastle bumper last time; difficult to fancy. Didn't show enough in two bumpers to warrant serious consideration on hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (66/1 -200%)Elemental Eye |
66/1(-200%) | (2) Elemental Eye 66/1, Ran moderately on hurdle debut when well beaten in a Musselburgh maiden last time; in fair form on the Flat over staying trips and should come on from that first hurdles outing. Fair on the Flat (two wins) but made a low-key hurdle debut last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (1) (80/1 -142%)Belvedere Bhoy |
80/1(-142%) | (1) Belvedere Bhoy 80/1, Poor effort on hurdle debut when well beaten in a maiden here last time; was well fancied for his bumper debut but has yet to show much. Always behind over C&D on hurdle debut three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (250/1 -67%)Ellistrin Bay |
250/1(-67%) | (3) Ellistrin Bay 250/1, Pulled up in a Musselburgh maiden hurdle last time; blinkers applied for the first time; showed minor promise in a bumper but poor in both hurdle runs so far. Pulled up at triple-digit odds on both hurdling starts. |

THEY WANT ME chased home the recent Grade 1 winner Idaho Sun on his hurdling debut at Bangor in November and it would be no surprise to see him go one better in this company. That said, They're Chancers won his only bumper start and has to be noted on his first outing over timber, while Party In The Park and Lance Les Des are next best.

Bumper winner They're Chancers is respected but THEY WANT ME ran well in the face of a stiff task at Bangor and gets the nod.

1st (4) (5/1 +44%)Some Scope |
5/1(+44%) | (4) Some Scope 5/1, Failed to find much and ran below form when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Wetherby last time. Wears a visor for the first time; effective up to 3m on soft or good; below last winning mark but needs to bounce back. Return to form needed but the forecast better ground can help and he's well treated. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (8/1 +33%)Ki Woo |
8/1(+33%) | (5) Ki Woo 8/1, From a yard that won this race last year. The ground was too soft and he ran a bit below form on chase debut when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m on a sound surface; should improve for that run. 2-time, good-ground novice hurdle winner who is back on better ground for second chase run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (28/1 -27%)Moroder |
28/1(-27%) | (2) Moroder 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Exeter last time. Prefers good ground and 3m; an unreliable sort who likes to dominate from the front. Struggling since September but this 11yo is 2-2 at Doncaster so can't be written off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (8/1 -33%)Ladronne |
8/1(-33%) | (7) Ladronne 8/1, Scored by 4 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Sedgefield two starts ago. Had every chance but ran slightly below form back up in trip last time. Effective from 2m5f to 3m; back in form this year and should remain competitive off his revised mark. Won at Sedgefield then 13l second over this C&D, when behind an unexposed 6yo. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (10/3 +26%)Magical King |
10/3(+26%) | (1) Magical King 10/3, Ran below form on chase debut, needing the run when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Bangor-on-Dee last time. Effective at 3m and appreciates plenty of cut; remains capable of better as a chaser. Ran well for a long way on chase debut and could show the benefit of that outing today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (16/1 -45%)Fortescue |
16/1(-45%) | (6) Fortescue 16/1, Outpaced and in need of the run when 16l third in a handicap chase at Ludlow on his most recent start. Effective at 3m and beyond, best with cut; no longer the force of old but well treated on past form. On a reduced mark but this 11yo has a regressive profile & is winless since February 2022. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (5/4 -14%)Fierce Warrior |
5/4(-14%) | (3) Fierce Warrior 5/4, Jumped boldly and idled slightly when improving up in trip to win a handicap by 3/4l off a 6lb lower mark here last time. Trainer in form; effective from 2m4f to 3m2f on soft or good; progressive with more to come over fences at staying trips. Won here last month on second chase start and that form has been franked by the runner-up. |

Staying seems to be the forte of FIERCE WARRIOR, who was a game winner over 3m2f here last month. That was just his second start over fences and the son of Sholokhov should be capable adapting to a 6lb higher mark. The veterans Fortescue and Ladronne are much more experienced in this discipline and can exploit any weakness shown by the selection.

Some Scope is well handicapped but FIERCE WARRIOR (nap) is a 6yo on the up and he can make it two course wins in a row.

1st (1) (11/2 +0%)Holy See |
11/2(+0%) | (1) Holy See 11/2, Needed the run when fourth, beaten 12l in a maiden hurdle at Thurles last time; effective over 2m and handles cut in the ground. Generally consistent and should be capable of winning a maiden, though proving somewhat frustrating. Ran well here last year; should improve from Thurles comeback and edging down to nice mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (5/1 -50%)Ifallgoeswell |
5/1(-50%) | (6) Ifallgoeswell 5/1, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 41l in a maiden hurdle at Cork last time; effective over 2m and acts on good ground. Showing some progress but may be better suited to handicaps in time. Placed in bumpers; quiet so far over hurdles but should come on from remote fourth at Cork. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/4 +17%)West Of Bally |
5/4(+17%) | (3) West Of Bally 5/4, Won a maiden hurdle here by 15l last time, doing it easily and improving when stepped up in trip while handling testing ground well. Effective over 2¼m, acts on yielding and heavy ground, and looks progressive under suitable conditions. Easily won a weak maiden on the inner track here last month; open to lots of improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (16/1 -380%)Minella Diamond |
16/1(-380%) | (2) Minella Diamond 16/1, Fell in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse last time when may have placed; effective over 2m and handles soft and good ground. Appears to be running into form after a layoff, with his latest effort well franked by subsequent results. Good second to 114-rated rival in Fairyhouse maiden (2m, soft to heavy) two runs back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (25/1 +38%)Ask The Bookie |
25/1(+38%) | (7) Ask The Bookie 25/1, Outpaced before rallying to run to form when beaten 4l in a novice hurdle at Thurles last time, appreciating the return to a longer trip. Effective over 2–2½m and handles yielding and good ground; needs to build on that revival but remains unreliable. Well-held third in this last year; beaten 4l last time at Thurles but flattered by that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (7/1 +75%)Beckistine |
7/1(+75%) | (4) Beckistine 7/1, Flattened out when stepped up in trip at a stiff track on handicap debut, finishing down the field at Navan last time. Effective over 2m and acts on any ground; showed promise in maidens but needs to bounce back though does at least return to scene of best effort. Okay run in strong Gowran maiden two starts back; didn't seem to appreciate 2m4f last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (33/1 +34%)Run For The Border |
33/1(+34%) | (8) Run For The Border 33/1, From a yard that won this race last year; didn't handle the ground when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time. Effective over 2m3f and acts on good ground, but conditions again pose a concern and her mark demands more. Won modest C&D maiden in October; struggled in heavy-ground handicap last time; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (9/2 +63%)Oaks Soldier |
9/2(+63%) | (5) Oaks Soldier 9/2, Ran to form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Cork last time; effective over 2m4f and handles soft and good ground. Consistent in a short career but likely needs to find a little more to win. No shame in being beaten 25l by Sortudo over 2m at Cork; interesting contender. |

WEST OF BALLY was an easy winner over a similar trip here last month and this looks like a nice opportunity to follow up. The Eric McNamara-trained gelding doesn't look harshly treated now off a mark of 114. Minella Diamond has some solid form in strong maiden hurdles and he could be the danger. Oaks Soldier is unexposed and he looks one to note on his handicap debut.

The locally-trained WEST OF BALLY had little to beat in a maiden on the inner track here, but he bolted up and might go in again

7/2(+42%) | (2) King's Threshold 7/2, Outpaced but ran to form when fourth, beaten 9l, in a handicap chase here last time. That form has been franked. The trainer is in form. Effective between 2 1/2m and 3m but looks on a stiff mark. Won at Newbury in spring; best effort since when fourth back here last time; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (7/1 -17%)Ideal Des Bordes |
7/1(-17%) | (9) Ideal Des Bordes 7/1, Travelled well but failed to find much and was unsuited by rain-softened ground when fourth, beaten 16l, in a Sandown handicap chase last time. Top jockey back on board. Effective at 3m and acts on good to soft or good ground. Recent form has dipped but on unsuitable ground and he's back below his last winning mark. Somewhat resurgent in first-time blinkers at Sandown most recently; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (9/4 +50%)Rivers Corner |
9/4(+50%) | (8) Rivers Corner 9/4, Ran to form but flattened out late when third, beaten 10l, up in trip in a Sandown handicap chase last time. Effective between 2 1/2m and 3 1/2m and a consistent performer who looks big player down in trip. Good course form in March; latest effort took chase record to 31233; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (5/1 +29%)Only The Bold |
5/1(+29%) | (3) Only The Bold 5/1, Outpaced, rallied and ran to form when beaten 1/2l off this mark at Sandown last time. Returns from a short break. Suited by marathon trips and may benefit from a slight step back up in distance. Has regained some consistency for new yard; step back up to 3m2f looks ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (5/1 +58%)Annual Invictus |
5/1(+58%) | (1) Annual Invictus 5/1, Needed the run when finishing down the field in the Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase here most recently. Effective from 3m to 3 1/2m and suited by a sound surface. Fairly treated on old form but must show all his ability remains. Good chance on 2023-24 form; likely needed his reappearance effort over C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (25/1 -14%)Hold That Taught |
25/1(-14%) | (6) Hold That Taught 25/1, Pulled up in the Rehearsal Handicap Chase at Newcastle last time. Effective at 3m and acts on any ground but can be unreliable. Won off higher marks in late 2023; lightly raced and not in the same form since. |

ONLY THE BOLD was beaten by only half a length in a thrilling three-way finish in a veterans' event at Sandown most recently. The 10-year-old is still of relatively low mileage over fences and, from the same mark, there is good reason to expect another bold showing. The consistent Rivers Corner has younger legs and could be a big danger to the selection, while King's Threshold is a previous course winner that can also play a strong role.

With further progress still possible, RIVERS CORNER is taken to reverse March placings with King's Threshold.

Effective around 2 1/2m and handles cut; may stay 3m and is unexposed over fences, looking fairly treated on hurdle form so holds strong claims. Beaten favourite in two outings in beginners' events, may do better in handicap company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (8/1 +27%)Union Station |
8/1(+27%) | (4) Union Station 8/1, Pulled up in the Troytown Handicap Chase (Grade 3) at Navan last time. Suited by 3m or further; consistent but often out-battled. Second over 3m4f at this venue last season, dropped in class after Troytown Chase run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (13) (4/1 +43%)Well Del |
4/1(+43%) | (13) Well Del 4/1, Went for home too soon and was lit up by a first-time visor when second, beaten 4l, in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse last time. Blinkers now fitted; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and handles any ground; well handicapped if building on that latest run. Shaped encouragingly on stable debut, blinkers may help, rider's claim is a big asset. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (28/1 -75%)Caesar Rock |
28/1(-75%) | (11) Caesar Rock 28/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a 9lb lower mark at Cork last time. Effective around 2 1/2m, acts on good ground and suited by front-running tactics; fair mark on chase form but can be inconsistent. Put in a good display over hurdles at Cork, poor strike rate over fences (1-22) a negative. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (7/2 +53%)Aurea Fortuna |
7/2(+53%) | (14) Aurea Fortuna 7/2, Won by 4l off a 10lb lower mark at Punchestown two starts ago but didn't handle the ground when 12th, beaten 37l off 111, last time. Effective from 2m to 3m and prefers decent ground; was progressing over hurdles and fences before that run. A long way below his best on heavy last time, could bounce back to form on this ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (22/1 -83%)Kiltealy Park |
22/1(-83%) | (6) Kiltealy Park 22/1, Needed the run when well beaten in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 2 3/4m and handles soft and good ground; inconsistent. Won off a 5lb lower mark on her final start last season, may have needed last month's run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (9/1 -80%)Vaureal |
9/1(-80%) | (12) Vaureal 9/1, Returned to form in first-time cheekpieces to land a handicap by 3l off a 6lb lower mark at Fairyhouse last time. Prefers some give and about 2 1/2m; in fair form though does save best for Fairyhouse. Won well for this rider at Fairyhouse and can remain competitive off a 6lb higher mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (33/1 0%)Where's Frankie |
33/1(0%) | (10) Where's Frankie 33/1, Unsuited by a drop in trip and comfortably held in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse last time. Effective over 3m+ and handles soft ground; out of form this year and needs this return to a longer distance. Has recorded four wins at Fairyhouse, only other success gained over 3m4f at this track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (11/1 -22%)Native Speaker |
11/1(-22%) | (1) Native Speaker 11/1, Made mistakes and ran below form when well beaten in a handicap chase at Cork last time. Effective around 2m4f and handles a sound surface; may improve for that return run. Has failed to make much impact in handicaps, stablemate Mystical Goddess is more appealing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (8/1 +43%)St Denis's Well |
8/1(+43%) | (8) St Denis's Well 8/1, Won by 4 1/4l off a 20lb lower mark at Navan two starts ago. Poorly placed when sixth, beaten 17l off 120 last time. Effective from 2 1/2m to 3m; could be suited by a drop in class and latest Porterstown run is worth marking up. Won over 2m at Navan from his much lower hurdles mark last month, trip-versatile. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (11/1 -57%)Mystical Goddess |
11/1(-57%) | (3) Mystical Goddess 11/1, Finished third, beaten 4 1/4l, in a handicap chase at Fairyhouse last time. Effective from 2m to 2m3f and likely to stay further; in form with her Fairyhouse run franked at Graded level and may progress in handicaps when upped in trip. Third on all three chase runs, shaped as if this trip will suit when staying on last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (11/1 +21%)Ho My Lord |
11/1(+21%) | (7) Ho My Lord 11/1, Disappointing up in grade when fourth, beaten 34l, in a novice chase at Clonmel last time. Returns from a short break; effective from 2m to 3m and generally consistent though frustrating over fences. No success yet over fences and is beginning to look well exposed, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (20/1 +0%)My Immortal |
20/1(+0%) | (2) My Immortal 20/1, Outpaced and needed the run when well beaten in a handicap chase at Galway last time. Returns from a short break; suited by 3m on soft ground and could build on reappearance, though still a maiden over fences. Two wins from five starts over hurdles, has failed to reach the same standard over fences. |

Paul Gilligan claimed this very contest 12 months ago and saddles an interesting contender in the shape of ZEEBAND. While disappointing since switching to fences, the four-time winning hurdler now starts off in handicap company and could prove nicely treated off a mark of 123. The Gordon Elliott-trained Kish Bank is another handicap debutant in the line-up and while a beaten favourite on his last two starts, he warrants the utmost respect with Carl Millar aboard. Fairyhouse winner Vaureal, Henry de Bromhead's Mystical Goddess and the first-time blinkered Well Del are others for the shortlist in this competitive heat.

On the evidence of a Fairyhouse second, it looks as if Declan Queally has brought about a revival in form for WELL DEL

Made all in Sedgefield bumper last month but recent hurdle debut was just respectable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (7/2 -40%)Malayalam |
7/2(-40%) | (4) Malayalam 7/2, Won a maiden point at Knockanard by 3l back in February; returns from a long layoff and may need the run but is a likely improver, with the market worth watching. Bought for £75,000 after heavy-ground Irish point win in February; rules debut today. |

33/1(-175%) | (5) Mr Lincoln 33/1, Produced a poor effort, perhaps needing the run, when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Newcastle last time; suited by 2m and acts on heavy and good; a threat on Irish form but must improve from his reappearance. Big player if judged on Irish form but, following a layoff, was tailed off for new stable. |

250/1(-67%) | (8) The Low Ball 250/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Newcastle last time; has everything to prove under rules. Struggled at triple-digit odds on both starts under rules this year (bumper/hurdle). |

A point winner in May, CAVALIER DU LUY was only beaten a neck into second on his Rules bow at Ayr in November. With the benefit of that experience, the son of Vadamos could be hard to beat here. Any market support for Malayalam, who cost 75,000 pounds earlier in the year, would have to be noted. Count Adhemar and William Yeats complete the shortlist.

Irish point winner CAVALIER DU LUY was only reeled in close home after making a bold bid from the front on last month's rules debut.

1st (3) (6/5 -44%)Spindleberry |
6/5(-44%) | (3) Spindleberry 6/5, Travelled and jumped well when outclassing rivals to win the T.A. Morris Memorial Mares Chase (Listed) at Clonmel by 2l last time. Comes here after a short break; best around 2m4f with some cut, and this looks another good opening. 4-4 over fences, the highlight a Grade 1 win against males at Fairyhouse; leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/1 +38%)Telepathique |
5/1(+38%) | (4) Telepathique 5/1, Made too much use of when fourth, beaten 17l, in a handicap chase at Newbury last time. Trainer in form. Likes to make the running; effective from 2m to 2m4f, suited by decent ground and best going left-handed; a bounce back is needed. Might not be far away if at her best but has to bounce back from below-par Newbury run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (5/2 +44%)Paggane |
5/2(+44%) | (2) Paggane 5/2, Travelled well and ran to form when winning the Bud Booth Mares' Chase (Listed) at Market Rasen by 8 1/2l last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m, acts on any going; a smart mare back to her best for the new yard and can go well again. 6yo who has done extremely well for new yard, posting easy Listed wins on last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (9/2 +18%)Fun Fun Fun |
9/2(+18%) | (1) Fun Fun Fun 9/2, Needed the run and lacked the pace of the principals when fourth, beaten 10l, in the Grabel Mares Hurdle (Listed) at Punchestown last time. Likes to make the running, effective from 2m to 3m, best on soft; could do much better here but faces a classy stablemate. Grade 3 and Listed wins in the spring; this front-runner can make a bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (100/1 +20%)Mini Mildred |
100/1(+20%) | (5) Mini Mildred 100/1, Made mistakes and needed the run on chase debut when fourth, beaten 21l, in the Bud Booth Mares' Chase (Listed) at Market Rasen last time. Effective at 2m on a sound surface but looks up against it again. Well-beaten fourth to Paggane on chase debut and she would be a shock winner. |

Willie Mullins appears to hold all the aces, with the upwardly mobile SPINDLEBERRY preferred over her stable companion Fun Fun Fun. The latter is a multiple pattern-race winner that is surely better than she managed when returning from a break at Punchestown last month. However, Spindleberry is undefeated over fences so far and would be hard to beat if replicating anything like the performance she posted when landing a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse as a novice in April. Paggane, who chases a Listed-race three-timer, is the obvious pick of the rest.

A cracking little race. SPINDLEBERRY has a Grade 1 chase win to her name and can maintain her unbeaten record over fences.

1st (7) (15/8 +38%)Raise You Up |
15/8(+38%) | (7) Raise You Up 15/8, Very promising debut when second, beaten 7l, in a maiden hurdle at Naas; effective over 2m3f and acts on heavy ground. Should come on for that initial experience. Placed in a point, good second on hurdles debut at Naas, go close with repeat of that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (5/2 -11%)Burning Ability |
5/2(-11%) | (4) Burning Ability 5/2, Raced a bit freely but ran to form when third, beaten 3l, in an auction bumper at Naas last time; effective over 2m and likely to improve for initial experience over hurdles with longer trip a plus. Promise in a Listowel maiden hurdle and two bumpers, leading chance up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (13/2 +59%)Happy Me |
13/2(+59%) | (6) Happy Me 13/2, May have found the ground a bit testing when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Cork last time; effective at around 2 1/2m on yielding or good ground and needs to build on his recent revival. Chance on form in maidens in late 2024-early 2025, recent form poor, revival needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (14/1 +13%)De Jour En Jour |
14/1(+13%) | (2) De Jour En Jour 14/1, Showed strong promise on debut when third, beaten 24l, in a maiden hurdle at Cork; effective over 2m and acts on soft ground. That form has been franked at Graded level, suggesting improvement over a longer trip is possible. Third at Cork on Rules' debut was a remote one, needs more to feature here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (3/1 +0%)Two Pair |
3/1(+0%) | (9) Two Pair 3/1, Ran slightly below form on testing ground when beaten 5 1/4l in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse last time; effective between 2m and 2 1/2m. Debut form has been franked but needs a bit more to open her account. Promise in bumpers and both maiden hurdles, this test should suit, major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (80/1 -60%)Strange Currency |
80/1(-60%) | (8) Strange Currency 80/1, Produced a modest effort when well beaten in a maiden at Moig South on sole start; faces a stiff task now tackling rules. No impact in three points, can only be watched on Rules' debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (125/1 -150%)No Hard Feelings |
125/1(-150%) | (3) No Hard Feelings 125/1, Outpaced and modest on debut when well beaten in a bumper at Taunton last time; longer trip should suit but has plenty to find. Modest form in points, soundly beaten in Taunton bumper latest, best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (14/1 -155%)Loyal Praetorian |
14/1(-155%) | (5) Loyal Praetorian 14/1, Improved from debut when second, beaten 6 1/2l, in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel on testing ground; effective at 2m and acts on heavy going. Still progressing and could stay a bit further. Point winner, solid second at Clonmel latest, in the mix if he stays this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (10) (80/1 -142%)Naught But Nice |
80/1(-142%) | (10) Naught But Nice 80/1, 3,000 euros Maxios filly; dam unraced and yard's horses tend to need more time; looks an unlikely winner on debut. Maxios filly, dam unraced half-sister to three winners, check the market. |

RAISE YOU UP stayed on nicely when second at Naas on his hurdling debut and looks capable of scoring now. Two Pair is another that has to be on the shortlist after a couple of solid efforts over timber, while the recent Clonmel second Loyal Praetorian is another with strong form claims. Happy Me and De Jour En Jour complete the shortlist.

Narrow preference is for RAISE YOU UP who shaped with plenty of promise on his hurdling debut at Naas

4/1(+38%) | (5) Andashan 4/1, Ran to form when stepped up in trip, finishing second beaten 12l in a Haydock handicap hurdle last time. Effective from 2m to 2¼m and acts on good to soft ground. May do better over slightly further. Placed in handicaps at Newbury and Haydock this term, latest upped to 2m3f; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (9/1 -13%)I'm A Lumberjack |
9/1(-13%) | (9) I'm A Lumberjack 9/1, Made mistakes and tired late when stepping up in trip, finishing 8l behind in a handicap hurdle here last time. Hood on for the first time. Effective at 2½m and acts on good to soft ground. Generally progressive and may build on that reappearance. May well settle better and show progress in first-time hood back down in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (5/1 +55%)Peacenik |
5/1(+55%) | (4) Peacenik 5/1, Ran to form when stepped up in trip, making all to win a Doncaster handicap by 5½l off a 5lb lower mark. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on heavy and good ground. Still has potential from this mark and arrives in form. Made all for ready win at Doncaster last time and looks open to further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (11/1 +31%)Don Virginia |
11/1(+31%) | (6) Don Virginia 11/1, Won a Fixed Brush Hurdle Series Final by 17l off an 18lb lower mark at Worcester on his penultimate start. Ran to form when comfortably held in a novice hurdle last time. Effective at 2½m and prefers a sound surface. Progressive over the summer and returns from a short break. Both wins over brush hurdles; something to prove off current mark in this field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (12/1 +40%)Castelfort |
12/1(+40%) | (10) Castelfort 12/1, Bled and was well beaten in a handicap chase at Chepstow last time. Didn't take to that discipline but consistent in this sphere at 2-2 1/2m on easy ground. Must bounce back. Couple of poor chase efforts this season leave a doubt over his current form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (11) (10/3 +63%)Doctors Hill |
10/3(+63%) | (11) Doctors Hill 10/3, Improved on handicap debut when beaten 2½l off a 1lb lower mark at Wincanton, though outpaced and looked in need of a stiffer test. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Likely to improve again now stepping up in trip. Novice hurdler who ran well at Wincanton most recently; open to further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (13) (28/1 -100%)Torrent |
28/1(-100%) | (13) Torrent 28/1, Ran to form in first-time visor when third, beaten 6l in a Sandown handicap hurdle last time. Effective at 2m and may not stay further. Acts on any ground and generally consistent but holds no secrets from the handicapper. Quite an exposed 4yo and on a ten-race losing sequence; stamina to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (7/1 +36%)Jurancon |
7/1(+36%) | (1) Jurancon 7/1, Well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last time but had been in good form beforehand. This is his second run after wind surgery. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good to soft ground. Should improve but has stamina to prove; fair mark on spring form and likes the track. Has a good overall strike-rate and is 2-2 over hurdles at Newbury; interesting back here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (33/1 +0%)Thankyourluckystar |
33/1(+0%) | (12) Thankyourluckystar 33/1, Pulled up in a Warwick handicap hurdle last time. Effective between 2½m and 3m and acts on good ground. Current mark probably high enough. Remains on career-high mark and goes up in grade; difficult task. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (16/1 +20%)Diamond Ri |
16/1(+20%) | (2) Diamond Ri 16/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle here last time. Effective at 2½m and acts on soft and good ground. Consistent sort but needs to prove ability remains after an absence. May last longer back down in trip with 3m reappearance under his belt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (15) (66/1 -100%)Get The Value |
66/1(-100%) | (15) Get The Value 66/1, Outpaced and unsuited by a change of tactics when unable to lead, finishing fourth beaten 38l in a Newton Abbot handicap hurdle last time. Effective around 2m and prefers a sound surface. Progressive through the summer before that run. Form dipped sharply when last seen; this is a stiffer assignment. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (16/1 +0%)Champagne Twist |
16/1(+0%) | (3) Champagne Twist 16/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Sandown last time. Effective at 2½m and suited by decent ground. Out of form when last seen but stable's runners often improve over fences. Generally hasn't lived up to expectations since winning the 2024 EBF Final. |

Not many of these can confidently be ruled out and the likes of Scorpio Rising, Andashan and I'm A Lumberjack are all likely to be popular choices. However, a tentative vote goes the way of DOCTORS HILL, who won cosily in novice company at Chepstow on his penultimate start. Subsequently a respectable third on his handicap debut at Wincanton, the former point-to-pointer simply ran out of time in that race. Stepping him back up in trip could be the making of him here.

Preference is for ANDASHAN, who appears to be on his way to winning a race of this nature. Doctors Hill is second pick.

1st (8) (4/6 -17%)Lossiemouth |
4/6(-17%) | (8) Lossiemouth 4/6, Winner of eight Grade 1s and was impressive when landing the Morgiana Hurdle (Grade 1) at Punchestown by 19l last time. Effective between 2m and 2 1/2m on any ground. Top-class performer whose form has been franked and remains a worthy Champion Hurdle favourite. Only a few lapses in a glittering career, can get the better of a duel with the other mare. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/2 +44%)Brighterdaysahead |
5/2(+44%) | (7) Brighterdaysahead 5/2, A triple Grade 1 winner who took this race last year. Finished a 9l third in the Mares Champion Hurdle (Grade 1) at Punchestown last time when weak in the market. Top jockey returns to ride and she holds a chance if bringing her best on reappearance but bit to prove after below par spring runs. Impressed with a stunning win here 12 months ago, failed to spark at the two big festivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (16/1 +36%)Casheldale Lad |
16/1(+36%) | (2) Casheldale Lad 16/1, Fell late when set for third in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle (Grade 1) at Fairyhouse last time. Likes to make the running and is suited by 2m, though stays 2 1/2m. Yard won this last year and he continues to progress so not ruled out. Running a big race up to the point of his fall at the last in the 2m4f Hatton's Grace. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/1 -9%)Anzadam |
6/1(-9%) | (1) Anzadam 6/1, Runner-up when beaten 1 1/2l in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle (Grade 1) at Newcastle last time. Effective at 2m and on heavy or soft ground. Yard has won four of the last five runnings and he looks classy enough to reverse that sole defeat but vulnerable against better rivals here. Lost his unbeaten record in the incident-packed Fighting Fifth, understudy to Lossiemouth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (28/1 +44%)Hello Neighbour |
28/1(+44%) | (4) Hello Neighbour 28/1, Outclassed when stepping up in grade on flat return, finishing down the field in the Lenebane Stakes (Listed) at Roscommon. May ideally prefer easier ground and vulnerable in this class. Won C&D Grade 1 juvenile hurdle in February, absent since a disappointing Flat run in July. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (28/1 -75%)Irancy |
28/1(-75%) | (5) Irancy 28/1, Paid the price for trying to go with the winner and needed the run when fourth, beaten 35l, in the Morgiana Hurdle (Grade 1) at Punchestown last time. Grade 1 winner as a novice. Effective at 2m and on soft or good ground. Yard has won four of the last five renewals but holds stronger claims. Grade 2 winner, needs to find form again after poor run behind Lossiemouth in the Morgiana. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (80/1 +20%)Winter Fog |
80/1(+20%) | (6) Winter Fog 80/1, Found little and was comfortably held in the Ascot Hurdle (Grade 2) at Ascot last time. Effective from 2m to 3m, best in small fields when ridden to pick up the pieces. Yard has won four of the last five editions of this race. Veteran has been well below his best over longer trips in Britain on his last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (300/1 -20%)Futurum Regem |
300/1(-20%) | (3) Futurum Regem 300/1, Outpaced and never threatened when finishing down the field in a handicap at Dundalk most recently. Faces a very tough task at this level. Four years since he won two handicap hurdles at Navan, making up the numbers here. |

Still only six rising seven, the top-class LOSSIEMOUTH can record her ninth Grade 1 victory and her fourth this year. She won the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham for the second time in March and followed up in the Aintree Hurdle. After a summer break, she faced a simple task in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown last month and duly made all to easily beat three rivals. Anzadam finished second in a dramatic Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle and it will be interesting to see how he fares with that run under his belt. Brighterdaysahead, rerouted from a planned novice chase campaign, was a stunning winner of this race last year but disappointed on two subsequent starts.

Last year's winner Brighterdaysahead faces a big task against prolific winner LOSSIEMOUTH, who has a run under her belt

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (13/2 +28%)Tread Softly Now |
13/2(+28%) | (7) Tread Softly Now 13/2, Won by 5l off a 9lb lower mark at Ayr on her penultimate start; possibly something went amiss when pulled up in a handicap hurdle last time. Effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on soft and good; was progressive before that and should return to form. Career-best form when winning at Ayr last month; pulled up (lost action) since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/2 -5%)Lowlands |
7/2(-5%) | (4) Lowlands 7/2, Ran to form when beaten 1 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Musselburgh last time. Effective at 2 1/2m on good and good to soft; a consistent performer. Low-mileage 6yo; clear second on last month's handicap debut; must be strongly considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (15/2 +17%)She's Notjoeking |
15/2(+17%) | (8) She's Notjoeking 15/2, Ran to form when third, beaten 8l, in a handicap hurdle at Ayr last time. Effective between 2m and 2m4f on heavy and good to soft; has found form again but her mark looks stiff. Just 1-11 over hurdles but was second in this last year and also ran well last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (6/1 +0%)Magnolia |
6/1(+0%) | (1) Magnolia 6/1, Won by 7 1/2l off a 10lb lower mark here on her penultimate start; possibly didn't stay 2 1/2m last time. Best form at 2m and could bounce back now down in trip. Didn't fire on latest outing but began this season with two comfortable course wins. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (28/1 -75%)Nellie Bluesky |
28/1(-75%) | (5) Nellie Bluesky 28/1, Comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Catterick on her last start a year ago. Suited by 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good to soft; likely to need the run. 50-1 winner on hurdle debut in May but safely held on both autumn starts; handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (100/1 -257%)Theatre Light |
100/1(-257%) | (9) Theatre Light 100/1, Needed the run when pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Hexham last time. Has undergone wind surgery and wears a tongue-tie for the first time; returns from a short break with plenty to prove. Pulled up on handicap debut; had wind op since and now sports a tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (22/1 -57%)Theirshegoes |
22/1(-57%) | (6) Theirshegoes 22/1, Race hadn't developed when she came to grief in a handicap hurdle at Musselburgh last time. Effective at 2 1/2m on good and good to soft; has a bit to prove after two below-par runs. Placed twice in spring; not much has gone to plan this autumn; still enters calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (33/1 -83%)Inspire Hope |
33/1(-83%) | (3) Inspire Hope 33/1, Made a poor chase debut when well beaten in a handicap chase at Musselburgh last time. Better form over hurdles and needs to recapture sparkle to figure. Out of form on Flat/over fences this autumn; back hurdling with questions to answer. |

LOWLANDS is on the upgrade and is an attractive proposition after filling the runner-up slot the last twice. Both those efforts suggested she can progress in handicaps and, from a workable rating, this could be a good time to catch the Nicky Richards-trained mare. Speiriuil hinted at a revival with cheekpieces added at Musselburgh last time and can have a big say if the headgear continues to draw improvement. She's Notjoeking and Magnolia are other strong contenders.

Low-mileage 6yo LOWLANDS (nap) made a promising handicap debut one month ago and can go one better.

9/2(-50%) | (6) Stone's Throw 9/2, Returned to form when winning a handicap by 3l off a 5lb lower mark at Southwell last time; best around 3m on a sound surface; not always consistent but clearly has ability. Returned to form to win at Southwell and this unexposed 5yo is respected up 5lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (18/5 +49%)Bugise Seagull |
18/5(+49%) | (1) Bugise Seagull 18/5, Made mistakes and went too fast early when fourth, beaten 53l, in a handicap chase here last time; wears cheekpieces for the first time. Trainer in form and drop in grade helps; effective at 3m and handles soft and good to soft ground; usually consistent. Jumping lacked fluency over fences on reappearance; handy mark on last term's hurdle form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/2 -25%)Rockola Vogue |
5/2(-25%) | (3) Rockola Vogue 5/2, Improved for the step up in trip when winning a handicap by 2l off a 6lb lower mark at Ascot last time; usually held up; effective from 2m4f to 3m and handles good to soft and good ground; progressive and still unexposed as a stayer. On a hat-trick and the form of her latest win at Ascot was given a boost on Saturday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (40/1 +73%)Hillview |
40/1(+73%) | (4) Hillview 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time; effective around 3m and prefers a sound surface; has plenty to prove after a long absence. Well handicapped on old form but he was struggling in 2023 when last seen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (2/1 +33%)J J Moon |
2/1(+33%) | (2) J J Moon 2/1, Won by 2l off a 7lb lower mark at Newton Abbot two runs ago and ran to form when third, beaten 2l off 127, last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m and handles soft and good ground; going the right way. 6yo who has done well switched to handicaps this season and he's a solid contender. |

Rockola Vogue continued her upward trajectory when completing a double at Ascot last month and it would be folly to dismiss her. However, a 6lb higher mark does demand more and J J MOON is slightly more compelling. Emma Lavelle's charge arrives on the back of a good third in a valuable class 3 event at Newbury and a 2lb rise may prove workable. Bugise Seagull is also of interest reverting to timber.

The thriving mare Rockola Vogue could play another leading role but preference is for another progressive 6yo in J J MOON.

28/1(+30%) | (4) Just For One 28/1, Still green when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Cork last time; usually held up and probably prefers some cut; needs to improve to defy this mark. Couple of okay runs in 2m maidens but tailed off over 2m4f on handicap debut at Cork. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (4/1 +11%)Tiger Twins |
4/1(+11%) | (10) Tiger Twins 4/1, A bit free and outpaced but shaped with promise on debut when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal last time; returning from a short break, handles yielding, and should improve for a longer trip. 100/1(-100%) | (16) Matilauna 100/1, Yard won this race last year; showed slight improvement when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle here last time; off a short break, effective at 2m on soft; needs to confirm latest progress in handicaps. Mark of 83 after three runs; unlikely to contend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (12) (33/1 +34%)Walkmethroughit |
33/1(+34%) | (12) Walkmethroughit 33/1, Showed slight improvement but was well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Cork last time; yet to find ideal conditions and looks one for handicaps in time. Modest maiden pointer; well beaten in first two hurdles, bit better at Cork last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (100/1 -52%)Three County Star |
100/1(-52%) | (9) Three County Star 100/1, May have found the ground too testing when finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Punchestown last time; effective at 2m on good ground; yet to prove competitive off current mark. Well held in similar maiden over C&D in October and in Punchestown handicap since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (40/1 +0%)Harty Cup |
40/1(+0%) | (3) Harty Cup 40/1, Showed some improvement but was well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Cork last time; yet to find ideal conditions over hurdles and should progress once handicapping. Placed in a point; 50l+ in each maiden hurdle start, but they were better contests. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (11/2 -83%)Lincall |
11/2(-83%) | (5) Lincall 11/2, Probably challenged a bit too early on testing ground when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Naas last time; effective over 2½m and handles heavy; in good form and should be competitive down in class. Beaten 7l in decent Clonmel maiden (winner now rated 122); not as good when fav at Naas. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (17) (40/1 -60%)Shuil Swift |
40/1(-60%) | (17) Shuil Swift 40/1, Improved when stepped up in trip but finished down the field in a maiden hurdle here last time; effective over 2½m and handles heavy; likely to do better once handicapping. Decent pedigree but yet to get competitive; never counted over 2m4f here on Saturday.. |

150/1(-50%) | (11) Urbs Intacta Manet 150/1, Never involved when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle at Naas last time; acts on heavy but has plenty to prove. Beaten 60l+ in pair of maidens, albeit they were decent contests. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (18) (200/1 -300%)Udontneedtoknow |
200/1(-300%) | (18) Udontneedtoknow 200/1, Ran to form when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Navan last time; likely to need further than 2m and may require more time. Was running okay in one of her points before falling; well held in two hurdle outings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (200/1 -203%)Crab Road |
200/1(-203%) | (1) Crab Road 200/1, Made mistakes and never threatened when finishing down the field in a maiden hurdle at Naas last time; has everything to prove. A tad better at Naas last time but still beaten 41l. |

WE BE GRAND was beaten at a short price in a similar contest here in October but may be worth another shot. Lincall ran well for a long way at Naas a fortnight ago and looks like a leading player. Tiger Twins ran a nice race in a hot enough maiden hurdle at Down Royal early last month and is another for the shortlist.

After a promising effort on hurdling debut in a stronger maiden at Navan, GENEPI GEORGE can show the benefit of that experience

1st (7) (4/9 +22%)No Drama This End |
4/9(+22%) | (7) No Drama This End 4/9, Stable has won four of the last five runnings. Went clear with ease to defy a penalty when winning the Winter Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Sandown by 5l last time. Effective at around 2 1/2m on soft and good ground. Could be top class and a worthy favourite who sets clear standard. Impressive in Grade 2 contests this term; exciting prospect who is the clear pick on form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (9/1 +55%)Klimt Madrik |
9/1(+55%) | (5) Klimt Madrik 9/1, Improved when appreciating a patient ride off a strong pace, reversing previous form when winning a novice hurdle here by a head last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and acts on soft ground. Progressing and looks worth a step up in trip. May struggle to confirm last time out form with rea-opposing rival Not certain to confirm C&D placings with Kalkbrenner, back on level terms. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (12/1 +64%)Tiptoptim |
12/1(+64%) | (9) Tiptoptim 12/1, Quickened clear comfortably when winning the Introductory Hurdle at Ludlow by 7l last time, improving up in trip under a positive ride at a sharp track. Off a short break. Effective from 2m to 2m5f on good ground. Progressive but needs more in this company. Proving consistent in terms of form but needs improvement upped in grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (20/1 -67%)Montemares |
20/1(-67%) | (6) Montemares 20/1, Improved up in trip when winning a novice hurdle at Market Rasen by 3 1/2l last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good to soft and good ground. Progressive, though his form has had knocks and more is needed in this higher grade. The sole 4yo and only unbeaten contender in this field; brings potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (25/1 -79%)Etna Bianco |
25/1(-79%) | (2) Etna Bianco 25/1, Travelled well and did it readily when winning a novice hurdle at Ascot by 2l last time, improving up in trip. A 3m point winner, effective around 2 1/2m under rules, and continues to progress as a staying type. Not ruled out stepping up in class. Justified favouritism at Ascot last time and looks open to further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (9/2 +63%)Kalkbrenner |
9/2(+63%) | (4) Kalkbrenner 9/2, Travelled well and showed determination when second, beaten a head, in a novice hurdle here last time, doing best of those racing close to the pace. Effective at around 2 1/2m and acts with cut. Debut form franked emphatically and likely to progress further. Nearly defied a penalty in C&D event when having a rematch with Klimt Madrik; good claims. |

The progressive NO DRAMA THIS END is hard to oppose after impressive displays in winning Grade 2 hurdles the last twice. Paul Nicholls, who has an excellent record in this race, seems to have another rising star on his hands and nominated this as a logical target straight after the gelding's exciting display when winning at Sandown earlier in the month. Starzand and Kalkbrenner are others on the upgrade, while the unbeaten Montemares faces more of an acid test after a couple of bloodless wins in lesser company.

Several runners have interesting claims but it will take a very smart performance to lower the colours of NO DRAMA THIS END.

8/1(+76%) | (16) Saint Le Fort 8/1, Outpaced but ran to form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Punchestown last time. Effective around 2 1/2m and may stay further; generally consistent. Needs to step up considerably on the form he has shown in four handicap outings since May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (17/2 -70%)Bunting |
17/2(-70%) | (6) Bunting 17/2, Short of room on a couple of occasions and ran to form up in trip when beaten 3 1/2l off a 39lb lower mark at Newmarket last time. Off a short break; inconsistent but fair mark on best form in both codes; holds a chance. Fit from Flat campaign that ended with Cesarewitch third, lends weight to yard's challenge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (10/1 +38%)Wendrock |
10/1(+38%) | (10) Wendrock 10/1, Outpaced and never threatened when fourth beaten 19l in the Jack McInerney Memorial Hurdle (Grade 3) at Fairyhouse latest. Effective at 2m; showed useful juvenile form but below par this season. Useful juvenile last season, has failed to match his best form in two outings this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (28/1 -12%)Ashdale Bob |
28/1(-12%) | (2) Ashdale Bob 28/1, Pulled up in a Listed Handicap Hurdle at Navan latest. Effective from 2 1/4m to 3m and acts on any ground; well treated on Graded form but below his best of late. High-class performer in his prime, vulnerable now, rider's 7lb claim is the main positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (13/2 +46%)Sa Fureur |
13/2(+46%) | (9) Sa Fureur 13/2, Ran to form, just tiring late back from a break when fourth beaten 10l in a handicap hurdle at Navan latest. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (25/1 -150%)Last Kingdom |

Effective at 2m on any ground; progressive. Raised 8lb for winning at Listowel; fourth to Zillow at Fairyhouse off this mark, new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (50/1 -100%)Franciscan Rock |
50/1(-100%) | (1) Franciscan Rock 50/1, Landed a handicap by 1/2l off a 9lb lower mark at Punchestown in November; a bit below form on a quick return when fourth in the Conditions Hurdle at Clonmel latest. Blinkers on for the first time; effective at 3m on soft and good ground; just below top level. Smart hurdler at his best, often highly tried, hard to fancy with big burden, blinkered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (13) (28/1 -40%)Teed Up |
28/1(-40%) | (13) Teed Up 28/1, Below form back down in trip when well beaten in a Listed Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse latest. Trainer in form; effective 2-2 3/4m; inconsistent dual-purpose performer should at least appreciate this step up in trip. Galway specialist, four of his five Flat wins and both hurdle wins at that venue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (12) (6/1 +14%)Blue Mosque |
6/1(+14%) | (12) Blue Mosque 6/1, Not clear run, travelled well and was out-battled late when second beaten 3 1/2l in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel Hurdle at Punchestown latest. Best around 2 1/2m on any ground; consistent though a touch frustrating as a novice. Absent since second in a conditions race at Punchestown in April, generally reliable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (22/1 -57%)Thecompanysergeant |
22/1(-57%) | (8) Thecompanysergeant 22/1, Yard took this race last year. Pulled up in the Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase at Cheltenham latest; generally consistent if a touch frustrating; stiff task. Ran well over hurdles at the Punchestown festival, not at his best over fences since then. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (3) (6/1 +25%)Air Of Entitlement |
6/1(+25%) | (3) Air Of Entitlement 6/1, Ran to form, just tiring late behind a race-fit rival when second beaten 5l in the Conditions Hurdle at Fairyhouse latest. Off a short break; effective from 2m to 2 1/2m on any ground and should come on for that run to reverse form with conqueror. Mark looks generous based on spring Cheltenham win. Winner of Mares' Novice at Cheltenham, may reverse seasonal debut form with Far Eadrainn. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
14th (11) (20/1 -67%)Fad Eadrainn |
20/1(-67%) | (11) Fad Eadrainn 20/1, Did it cosily and improved back down in trip for an in-form yard when winning the Conditions Hurdle at Fairyhouse by 5l last time. Off a short break; effective 2-2 1/2m on any ground; form franked and progressing. Getting a stone when upstaging Air Of Entitlement at Fairyhouse, not sure to uphold form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (7) (13/2 -63%)Zillow |
13/2(-63%) | (7) Zillow 13/2, Travelled strongly and did it readily, aided by a late faller, when winning a Listed Handicap Hurdle by 4 1/4l off a 9lb lower mark at Fairyhouse last time. Effective at 2m with some cut; more to come judged on useful French flat form. Has won both races this season, form franked on Saturday, may improve again up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (40/1 -233%)Blue Lemons |
40/1(-233%) | (4) Blue Lemons 40/1, Made too much use of the pace and likely found the ground too quick when finishing down the field in a handicap at Ascot most recently; fair mark on Grade 2 juvenile win but needs some rain. Grade 2 juvenile winner last season, first run since Royal Ascot, stable has a strong hand. |

ZILLOW has won his last two starts over hurdles, as well as a 1m4f win on the Polytrack at Dundalk, and can continue his progression. He had Last Kingdom back in fourth when scoring over 2m at Fairyhouse and the runner-up in that race won here on Saturday. Decent ground will help his chances of staying as he steps up to 2m4f for the first time in handicap company. There are no stamina doubts about another Mullins contender, Bunting, who was third in the Cesarewitch and ran creditably in the Scottish Champion Hurdle in the spring. Blue Mosque had some strong novice form last season and has to be of interest.

Given the excellent form of the Elliott stable, it could pay to take a chance with SA FUREUR who flopped when favourite here last year

Losing run is mounting up but ran two good races before a lesser effort at Southwell. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (10) (9/1 +25%)Alfred Spero |
9/1(+25%) | (10) Alfred Spero 9/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off this mark at Kempton last time; stays 12f and acts on the all-weather; in fair form and his current mark looks appropriate. Lightly raced 3yo who came from off the pace to be only 2l off the winner at Kempton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (13/2 -8%)Royal Blaze |
13/2(-8%) | (5) Royal Blaze 13/2, Ran to his best recent form when up in trip, beaten 3/4l off a 2lb lower mark here last time; prefers 10-12f and acts on the all-weather; looks nicely handicapped. Bounced back from two quiet runs with a near miss over C&D 20 days ago; only 2lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (18/1 +28%)Annandale |
18/1(+28%) | (8) Annandale 18/1, Below form when beaten 6 1/4l in a Southwell handicap last time; top course jockey booked; effective from 10-14f and acts on the all-weather; mark is falling but form has dipped. Back on a good mark but quiet of late and hard to predict at the best of times. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (22/1 -83%)Billy Bathgate |
22/1(-83%) | (9) Billy Bathgate 22/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off a 3lb lower mark at Wolverhampton two starts ago; caught a bit far back but close to form when fifth, beaten 6l off 58 last time; effective from 14-16f and acts on the all-weather; in excellent form though his new mark looks stiff. Knows how to win but ideally wants further than this so he'll need a strong pace up front. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (9/2 -35%)Golspie |
9/2(-35%) | (3) Golspie 9/2, Dropped in the weights and back to form when landing a handicap by 3/4l off a 4lb lower mark here last time; trainer in form; suited by 10/11f, though this trip may test him under a stiffer mark. Won off a career-low mark (4lb lower) here recently and unexposed over this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (9/2 +31%)Percy Willis |
9/2(+31%) | (6) Percy Willis 9/2, Ran to form when back up in trip, beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark at Southwell last time; effective from 10-12f with nearly all form on the all-weather; fair and reasonable effort. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (4/1 -78%)Prince Quattro |
4/1(-78%) | (2) Prince Quattro 4/1, Produced a good effort when back up in trip, beaten a nose off a 2lb lower mark here last time; effective up to 12-16f and acts on the all-weather; in good form. Multiple hurdle winner who has yet to win on the Flat but he's gone very close. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (9/2 +55%)Blue Sky Boy |
9/2(+55%) | (7) Blue Sky Boy 9/2, Had a very poor trip late and would have finished 2-3l closer, beaten 10l in a handicap here last time; effective up to 14f and acts on the all-weather; step back up to 12f should help. Nine-race maiden; didn't get the best of runs here on recent stable debut. |

ROYAL BLAZE was only narrowly denied when second over C&D three weeks ago and the four-year-old could go one better on this occasion, despite a 2lb rise. The recent course winner Golspie is an obvious threat to the selection but does step up in trip, while the consistent Prince Quattro edges out Percy Willis to be best of the rest.

This could be the day that multiple hurdle winner PRINCE QUATTRO finally clicks on the Flat as he's been threatening of late.

8/1(-14%) | (3) Both Barrels 8/1, Needed the run when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Ayr last time; effective around 2½m and suited by cut in the ground; current mark demands more. Dual hurdle winner (once here); weakened tamely on seasonal debut; may come on for the run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (13/2 +19%)Magic Wave |
13/2(+19%) | (5) Magic Wave 13/2, Well backed and ran to form when 9l third in a handicap hurdle here on his latest run; effective from 2½m to 2¾m, acts on heavy and good ground; returning from a break but was in good form before it. Gained hard-fought course win in April but has fitness to prove after 236-day absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (15/2 -114%)Esprit Du Potier |
15/2(-114%) | (1) Esprit Du Potier 15/2, Pulled up in the Stayers' Premier Handicap Hurdle at Haydock last time; enjoys making the running; effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on heavy and good ground; has something to prove over staying trips but looks on a good mark. Pulled up in major handicap last month; this is much easier; may still have potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (4/7 +62%)Baratablet |
4/7(+62%) | (2) Baratablet 4/7, Won going away by 4l in a handicap at Newcastle off a 7lb lower mark last time; trainer in form; effective from 2½m to 3m and acts on good to soft; a progressive type. 3-5 over hurdles after clear win on recent seasonal debut; probably still improving. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (20/1 -100%)Eloi Du Puy |
20/1(-100%) | (4) Eloi Du Puy 20/1, Jumped abysmally when comfortably held in a handicap chase at Carlisle last time; better form shown over hurdles and looks on a fair mark. Reverts to hurdling after disappointing start to chasing career; runs this track well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (40/1 -60%)Pure Sirloin |
40/1(-60%) | (7) Pure Sirloin 40/1, Jumped poorly and continued in poor form when 9l third in a handicap hurdle at Hexham last time; effective between 2½m and 3m but inconsistent and appears below his former level. Didn't run badly when last of three at Hexham this month but is 9lb wrong here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (18/1 -260%)Parisian Fashion |
18/1(-260%) | (6) Parisian Fashion 18/1, Undone by a jumping error when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Musselburgh last time; in good form beforehand; effective around 2½m, acts on soft and good ground; generally consistent and the step up in trip should suit. Ran quite well on seasonal debut; bad jumping error effectively ended her chance last time. |

Having won three of his last four starts, BARATABLET is the obvious starting point. The son of Wings Of Eagles returned from a break to notch a comfortable success at Newcastle 18 days ago and, assuming this doesn't come around too quickly, a 7lb higher mark doesn't look insurmountable. Magic Wave is a previous course winner that needs to be taken seriously on his reappearance, while Esprit Du Potier also commands respect.

Progressive 5yo BARATABLET was nicely in command in the closing stages at Newcastle this month and can strike again.

2nd (7) (10/1 +44%)Callin Baton Rouge |
10/1(+44%) | (7) Callin Baton Rouge 10/1, Bit free but ran to form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f on any ground and generally consistent. The return to better ground is a likely plus and she's 3lb below her last winning mark. |

3rd (1) (11/4 +58%)Paddys Policy |
11/4(+58%) | (1) Paddys Policy 11/4, Bit too free when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last time. Previously in good form and returns from a short break having undergone a wind operation. 12/1(+25%) | (6) Aim Straight 12/1, Below form when comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Southwell last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f on good to soft ground and looks the type to improve now handicapping. Pick of novice hurdle form suggests opening mark could be workable; open to improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (10/1 -25%)Platenium |
10/1(-25%) | (11) Platenium 10/1, Scored by 2 1/4l off a 6lb lower mark at Uttoxeter in October but found little last time. Wears cheekpieces for the first time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f, best on a sound surface, and needs to bounce back. Heavy defeat last time but he was in good form in October and cheekpieces may help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (25/1 -14%)Tech That |
25/1(-14%) | (8) Tech That 25/1, Poor effort when comfortably held in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Returns from a short break; effective at around 2m1f on soft ground and may do better now handicapping. Makes handicap debut having had wind op which could help him tap back into early promise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (66/1 -32%)Golden Move |
66/1(-32%) | (5) Golden Move 66/1, No-show from off the pace when well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Leicester last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time. Effective at 2m on soft or good ground but currently out of form under both codes. The first-time tongue-tie and reapplied cheekpieces need to have a dramatic effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (20/1 -67%)Belcamo |
20/1(-67%) | (9) Belcamo 20/1, Below form on handicap debut when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton last time, having been in good form previously. Effective at 2m on a sound surface and needs to bounce back. Made it 0-10 over hurdles when below par last month but some good efforts previously. |

PARK TALK shaped well on his latest fifth in a maiden hurdle at Newbury and an opening mark of 111 could underestimate his true ability. Harry Derham's charge had previously filled the runner-up spot at Stratford and he ticks plenty of the right boxes. Paddys Policy failed to build on a promising reappearance at Wetherby when finishing down the field at Aintree last month, but a subsequent wind procedure could see him back on the premises. Aeroplane Blonde is a feasible alternative.

The lightly raced 5yo AEROPLANE BLONDE was fourth in a stronger race than this on his handicap debut at Cheltenham and he earns the vote

5/2(+17%) | (8) Diamond Dollar 5/2, Ran to form when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time; effective at 2m and generally consistent but remains a frustrating maiden. 0-11 but showed more when backed at Cork latest, could go well; fifth here on Saturday. |

13/2(-44%) | (11) Might Be The One 13/2, Ran to form when fourth, beaten 12l, in a handicap hurdle at Tramore last time; effective around 2½m and acts on soft ground; poor over 2m under rules but point form suggests longer trips should suit. Best effort yet on latest at Tramore (2m5f), drop in trip a plus, not discounted. |

50/1(-79%) | (14) Uptaurintop 50/1, Ran to form when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time; showed little in bumpers or on hurdle debut and may prefer this bit further than 2m. No show in bumpers or maiden hurdles, potential improver on h'cap bow, check market. |

11/1(-57%) | (9) Le Fanu 11/1, Yard won this race last year; ran to form when tiring late after a break to finish third, beaten 14l, in a handicap hurdle here last time; effective from 2m to 2½m and should come on for the run. Pleasing run over 2m here on seasonal return, 2m3f should suit, player off 1lb lower. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (9/4 +72%)I Feel Fine |
9/4(+72%) | (5) I Feel Fine 9/4, Unseated in a handicap hurdle here last time when looked huge threat; well treated off unchanged mark; effective at 2m and handles most conditions; can do better when stepping up in trip. Still in contention when unseating two out here latest (2m), bred to stay, could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (12/1 +14%)Donnrua Dream |
12/1(+14%) | (7) Donnrua Dream 12/1, Yard has won two of the last nine renewals of this race; had no obvious excuse when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time; handles plenty of cut but looks regressive. Course winner, no win since March 2022, poor both starts this season, others preferred. |

16/1(+52%) | (10) Another Ocana 16/1, No obvious excuse when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel last time; cheekpieces applied for the first time; effective from 2m to 2½m and handles cut but currently out of form. Won this off 5lb higher in 2023, recent form poor, new cheekpieces need to spark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (16) (40/1 +20%)Opera Point |
40/1(+20%) | (16) Opera Point 40/1, Disappointing when back in a handicap, finishing down the field in a handicap hurdle at Cork last time; blinkers on for the first time; effective from 2m to 2½m but remains an exposed maiden. 0-12 over hurdles, tailed off at Cork latest, new headgear combo tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (11/1 0%)The Goose's Acre |
11/1(0%) | (3) The Goose's Acre 11/1, Improved again when fourth, beaten 17l, in a maiden hurdle at Thurles last time; effective from 2m to 2½m; in fair form but likely better suited to handicaps. Handicap debutant, promise in maidens, could go well if acts on heavy ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (13) (33/1 +0%)Kanpai |
33/1(+0%) | (13) Kanpai 33/1, Had every chance but weakened when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel last time; possibly bit flattered that day; blinkers tried for the first time; effective from 2m to 2½m but inconsistent. Very modest form so far, new blinkers need to have transformative effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (50/1 -100%)Scarlet Purse |
50/1(-100%) | (6) Scarlet Purse 50/1, May have found the ground a bit testing when down the field in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel last time; effective at 2m but mark requires more. Yet to show winning potential, tailed off after break latest, may need more time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (28/1 -75%)Portetta |
28/1(-75%) | (4) Portetta 28/1, Outpaced when dropped in trip and well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Cheltenham last time; effective up to 2m5f and may improve now handicapping back up in distance. Handicap debutant, best form on nice ground, heavy defeat on soft latest, watch. |

MIGHT BE THE ONE ran well at Tramore last time and may appreciate the slight drop in trip here. As a result, she gets the vote in an open event. The Goose's Acre is another that has to come into calculations after a couple of encouraging efforts in defeat. Donnrua Dream edges out Le Fanu to be best of the rest.

I FEEL FINE was still in with a chance when unseating two out over 2m here last time and this longer trip should suit

13/2(+19%) | (7) Calimystic 13/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Ayr last time; trainer in form; returning from a long layoff; fairly treated on best hurdle form; stable first string on jockey bookings but may just need this on chase debut. Low-mileage 6yo who remains open to progress; interesting chase debutant. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (9/4 +72%)Captain Bellamy |
9/4(+72%) | (8) Captain Bellamy 9/4, Needed the run on chase debut when comfortably held in a handicap chase here last time; that effort has worked out very well; had been in good form previously; well treated on hurdles form here; effective at 2 1/2m and likely to appreciate this step up in trip over fences. May do better back up in distance with 2m reappearance under his belt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (28/1 -250%)Pounding Poet |
28/1(-250%) | (5) Pounding Poet 28/1, Travelled well and ran to form when beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle at Aintree last time; had been in good form prior and returns from a short break; looks a leading player on race times. Has something to prove on belated return to fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (18/1 -80%)Holloway Queen |
18/1(-80%) | (6) Holloway Queen 18/1, Unseated rider in a handicap chase at Hereford last time; trainer in form; effective at around 2 1/2m and handles ground with cut; on a good mark based on novice hurdle form and was going well when departing last time. Unseated rider last week on chase debut; still has potential in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (40/1 -150%)Harsh |
40/1(-150%) | (2) Harsh 40/1, Never competitive after a series of errors when finishing down the field in a handicap chase at Galway most recently; wears blinkers for the first time; effective around 2 1/2m; jumping has been an issue over fences when trained in Ireland. Change of headgear needs to prompt progress on debut for new stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (4) (9/1 -50%)Rightsotom |
9/1(-50%) | (4) Rightsotom 9/1, Ran to form when taken on up front and did plenty early, finishing fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap chase at Doncaster last time; effective at around 2 1/2m and could improve when stepped up to staying trips. Could go well in the retained cheekpieces, provided he stays the new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (4/1 -14%)Guard The Moon |
4/1(-14%) | (1) Guard The Moon 4/1, Travelled and jumped boldly bar the last, running to form when suited by a positive ride down in trip to land a handicap by 3l off a 7lb lower mark at Aintree last time; effective from 2 1/2m to 3m and may have more to offer over fences. Won at Aintree on chase/seasonal debut and is open to further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (9/4 -20%)Newton Tornado |
9/4(-20%) | (3) Newton Tornado 9/4, Improved when suited by a positive ride to land a handicap by 9l off an 8lb lower mark at Bangor-on-Dee last time; effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on any ground; progressive and has more to come over fences. Scored comfortably at Bangor last time and likely has more to offer. |

The two last-time-out winners, Newton Tornado and GUARD THE MOON are the most convincing options. The former was progressive over hurdles and seemed to have learned from a fall at Cheltenham to get off the mark over fences, despite jumping to the right at Bangor most recently. However, the latter made an impressive chasing debut at Aintree earlier in the month and will be a big player if building on that display. Rightsotom and Pounding Poet are the pick of the rest.

With further improvement plausible, GUARD THE MOON could well defy top weight. Newton Tornado is second choice.

1st (4) (10/3 +5%)Keep Him Company |
10/3(+5%) | (4) Keep Him Company 10/3, Made a very promising debut, shaping like a strong stayer when winning a bumper at Fairyhouse by 3l. Effective at 2m and acts on soft ground; open to further improvement and a stiffer track should suit. Recruited for £220,000 and showed a willing attitude to collect by 3l at Fairyhouse. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (16/1 -60%)Passenger |
16/1(-60%) | (6) Passenger 16/1, Flattened out late on testing ground at a stiff track when back from a break, finishing 15l third in the Future Champions Flat Race (Listed) at Navan. Effective between 2m and 2 1/2m and acts on soft and good ground; progressing with form franked. Impressed on good ground at Cork and ground was testing when beaten next time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (16/1 -14%)Royal Hillsborough |
16/1(-14%) | (8) Royal Hillsborough 16/1, Returned to form after a break on easier ground when second, beaten 6 1/2l, in the Listed Mares Flat Race at Navan. Effective at 2m and handles ground with cut; in form and her latest run has been boosted. No match for the winner at Navan but that horse has since floored Bambino Fever. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (18/1 -260%)Mossy Way |
18/1(-260%) | (5) Mossy Way 18/1, Went clear easily and improved when dropped in class to win a Ladies bumper at Limerick by 27l. Effective at 2m; in fair form but will need to find a bit more now stepping up in class. Appeared to take a huge step forward when making all for a 27l success at Limerick (heavy). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (11/4 +21%)Gomez Addams |
11/4(+21%) | (2) Gomez Addams 11/4, Travelled strongly and made a very promising debut when a 6 1/2l winner in a 4yo bumper at Galway. Effective at 2m and acts on good ground; debut form has been franked at Listed level and he looks competitive up in class. 11-2 when impressing at Galway (good) and had a subsequent Listed winner back in third. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (13/8 +35%)Bud Fox |
13/8(+35%) | (1) Bud Fox 13/8, Travelled well and flattened out late when returning from a break, finishing a 6 1/4l third in the Three Counties Christmas Open NH Flat Race (Listed) at Cheltenham. Effective at 2m and acts on good to yielding ground; looks a smart prospect. Relinquished his unbeaten record at Cheltenham on ground perhaps too soft. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (11/1 +21%)The First Turn |
11/1(+21%) | (7) The First Turn 11/1, Overcame trouble to make a very promising debut when winning by 3/4l in an auction bumper at Thurles. Returning from a short break; effective at 2m and acts on good ground; debut form franked and worth this step up in grade. Justified favouritism with a narrow win at Thurles despite signs of inexperience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (18/1 -80%)Jerry From Kerry |
18/1(-80%) | (3) Jerry From Kerry 18/1, Ran to form but lacked the pace of the principals when fourth, beaten 7 1/4l, in the Future Champions Flat Race (Listed) at Navan. Trainer in form; returning from a long layoff; effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground; consistent performer. Beaten in five of his six bumpers but has been competitive in all bar one; long absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (125/1 -25%)Tell Me See |
125/1(-25%) | (9) Tell Me See 125/1, Kingston Hill gelding; full-brother to Backwithyourown, a smart performer over 16f. Second foal out of a 2m Listed hurdle winner but he's flying quite high here on debut. |

Andy Slattery produced several smart bumper horses this year and amongst them was GOMEZ ADDAMS, who won impressively at the Galway Festival in July. The son of Hillstar has now joined Henry de Bromhead but Adam Ryan, attached to the Slattery yard and great value for his 5lb claim, retains the ride. The selection will be helped by drying ground and can put his speed to good use. Bud Fox won on spring ground at Punchestown and soft conditions may have counted against him when he was third at Cheltenham, but the winner of that Listed contest had been beaten over 7 lengths by Gomez Addams at Galway. Fairyhouse winner Keep Him Company may be vulnerable to speedier types.

A good race contested by seven previous winners. BUD FOX is taken to bounce back from his defeat on soft ground at Cheltenham.

40/1(-21%) | (2) Kameko Fever 40/1, All happened too fast on debut when beaten 8l in a novice at Wolverhampton; trained locally and speedily bred, so the step up in trip may help; should improve with experience. Never dangerous in a 5f AW novice on debut 16 days ago; longer-term prospect. |

3/1(-33%) | (5) Viking Glory 3/1, Well backed and improved up in trip when second beaten 1 1/2l in a novice here last time; suited by 7f and acts on all-weather; likely at the right level now. Promising debut and then unsuited by a slowly run 7f here last time; more to come. |

6th (6) (125/1 -89%)Battenburg Belle |
125/1(-89%) | (6) Battenburg Belle 125/1, No chance after losing about 5l at the start and was beaten 9l in a maiden here on debut; sprint-bred but shaped as though 7f may suit; should improve markedly. 66-1 and never dangerous in a C&D maiden ten days ago (behind Quiet Serenade). |

50/1(-100%) | (11) What A Tahoo 50/1, Got behind early and showed little when well beaten in a maiden at Southwell on debut; top course trainer; sprint-bred but small and with plenty to prove. Well beaten at 16-1 on her Southwell debut in July (6f); bred to do better at some point. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (28/1 -100%)Havin A Flyer |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (50/1 -52%)Quiet Serenade |
50/1(-52%) | (9) Quiet Serenade 50/1, Made late headway after being squeezed out and would have been 2l closer when beaten 7l in a maiden here last time; speedily bred and acts on all-weather; moderate so far but has some scope. Down the field in two C&D runs this month but shaped with promise last time; check betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (18/1 +45%)Freezing Havana |
18/1(+45%) | (7) Freezing Havana 18/1, 20 Feb; Havana Grey filly; dam unraced; likely to need the run. 10,000gns yearling; unraced dam a half-sister to three winners; betting to guide. |

STARRYFIELD displayed plenty of promise when filling second place on his debut at Doncaster in July and James Owen's colt could be hard to beat with the benefit of that experience. Viking Glory is another who brings strong form to the table and has to be noted as a result, while any market support for Extremely Zain would be interesting.

Extremely Zain is a newcomer of note but VIKING GLORY could put his experience to good use.

4/5(+82%) | (1) Dagger Strike 4/5, Probably made too much use of when beaten 4l in a novice at Lingfield last time. Returning from a break; all form at 7f but may prove better at 6f. Acts on a sound surface and looks potentially well treated. RPR of 68 in his three starts in the summer; gelded since; more is needed now handicapping. |

2nd (4) (4/1 -20%)Popty Ping |
4/1(-20%) | (4) Popty Ping 4/1, Returned to best in a visor when landing a handicap by a head off a 5lb lower mark at Southwell last time. Ridden by the top course jockey and effective from 6f to 8f. First-time headgear proved key in two of her last three starts. Form of latest Southwell win well advertised by the second; good chance despite 5lb rise. |

3rd (3) (10/3 -78%)Henriette Ronner |
10/3(-78%) | (3) Henriette Ronner 10/3, Improved when fourth, beaten 3 1/2l in a maiden here last time after making the pace and tiring late. Trainer in form. All form at 7f but bred to want 8f or further; acts on the all-weather and looks on a workable mark. Best effort when fourth over C&D last month; may do better now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (12/1 -200%)Container Express |
12/1(-200%) | (5) Container Express 12/1, Produced a game effort to land a handicap by a neck off a 3lb lower mark here last time. Usually held up and effective at 6f on the all-weather. Could have a little more to come with a clear passage. Won a weak 6f selling nursery here six weeks ago; needs more in this field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (22/1 -340%)Angelic Rascal |
22/1(-340%) | (2) Angelic Rascal 22/1, Disappointing on handicap debut when beaten 7l in a nursery at Wolverhampton last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time and effective at 8f. Opening mark may have been a bit stiff. Last of six on nursery debut; drops in trip with a tongue-tie added. |

Popty Ping and Container Express both merit plenty of respect following victories on their most recent outings. However, their new marks demand improvement from them and a chance can be taken with HENRIETTE RONNER. William Haggas' filly put in a career best in a maiden here last time and an opening mark of 62 should be workable on her nursery debut.

The form of POPTY PING's Southwell win has been franked and she can win from Henriette Ronner and Dagger Strike.

9/4(+25%) | (6) Yaaser 9/4, Ran to form with a good attitude when landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark here last time. Usually held up; effective from 6f to 8f and acts on any surface. Drop in trip shouldn't be an issue. Recent C&D winner off just 2lb lower; blew the start at Southwell on Sunday (6f). |

TOWERLANDS secured a hat-trick when successful over a mile at Southwell 10 days ago and the in-form gelding could add another victory to his record here, despite a 4lb rise in the ratings. Bobby Joe Leg also won on his most recent outing, but Selection may be an even bigger threat as she may benefit from a drop in trip here.

The 3yo TOWERLANDS (nap) did well to win at Southwell and he's clearly improving. That was over 1m but a stiff 7f should be fine.

1st (5) (10/3 +49%)Bright |
10/3(+49%) | (5) Bright 10/3, Below form when given plenty to do, beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 5/6f, acts on all-weather, and his mark is easing. Well-handicapped C&D winner; can't be discounted under Billy Loughnane. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (9/2 +36%)Monsieur Kodi |
9/2(+36%) | (7) Monsieur Kodi 9/2, Ran about to form when beaten 2 1/4l off this mark here last time. Wears cheekpieces for the first time. From a top course trainer, effective at 6/7f, acts on all-weather, and is on a competitive mark. Solid third over C&D four weeks ago; new cheekpieces given a go; each-way claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (17/2 -42%)Maxi Boy |
17/2(-42%) | (6) Maxi Boy 17/2, Ran to form when made plenty of use of down in trip, beaten a length off this mark here last time. Effective at 6/7f, acts on all-weather, and looks capable again off this mark. Second here on last two starts (7f and 6f); place contender if arriving in the same form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (5/1 -43%)Judgment Call |
5/1(-43%) | (8) Judgment Call 5/1, Back to form when landing a handicap by a length off a 3lb lower mark here last time. Enjoys making the running and is effective at 6/7f, acts on all-weather. Up 3lb but remains a danger. Always handy when winning over C&D ten days ago; unexposed as a sprinter; leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (33/1 -136%)Pineapple Island |
33/1(-136%) | (4) Pineapple Island 33/1, Massively below form prior to a long absence when beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Effective at 5f, acts on all-weather. Needs to prove retained ability. Last month's stable debut confirmed she retained some ability but may need more weight off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (18/1 -140%)Pop Star |
18/1(-140%) | (3) Pop Star 18/1, Ran about to the balance of form up in trip when beaten 3 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark at Windsor last time. Returning from a break and effective at 5/6f, acts on all-weather. Fraction below best last two starts but a contender. Failed to win for Alice Haynes this year but starts out for new stable on a fair mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (7/2 +42%)Arnhem |
7/2(+42%) | (1) Arnhem 7/2, Close to form over an inadequate trip when beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Has a top course jockey and a wide draw. Ideally wants 6f, acts on any surface, and remains on a workable mark. Drops in class and steps back up in trip; should have a big run in him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (9/1 -80%)Stirrup Cup |
9/1(-80%) | (9) Stirrup Cup 9/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Suited by 5/6f and acts on all-weather. In the mix off a fair mark. Third over C&D five weeks ago; up in class but should give it another good go. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (14/1 -40%)Rogue Allegiance |
14/1(-40%) | (2) Rogue Allegiance 14/1, Yard won this last year. Ran poorly when beaten 8l in a handicap here last time. Has a wide draw and is effective at 6f, acts on all-weather; yet to show form in handicaps. Impressive over C&D 12 months ago; struggled this year, including back over C&D latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (18/1 +10%)Habrdi |
18/1(+10%) | (10) Habrdi 18/1, Poor effort at an inadequate trip when beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Has a wide draw and is effective at 7/8f, acts on all-weather; looks better suited by further. Struggled in 2025; eligible for weaker races and others appeal more. |

STIRRUP CUP returned to form when filling third place over C&D when last seen in November and it would be no surprise to see Tim Easterby's gelding play a leading role off a 1lb lower mark here. The consistent Monsieur Kodi has to be of interest as first-time cheekpieces may spark some progression, while Judgment Call and Maxi Boy complete the shortlist.

Judgment Call and Bright are of interest but ARNHEM is back down in grade and can defy top weight.

Thriving for new yard and may have more to offer. Winning run came to an end last time here but still ran well despite not settling. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (80/1 -220%)Maui Breeze |
80/1(-220%) | (2) Maui Breeze 80/1, Didn't stay and was comfortably held in a handicap here last time. Has a wide draw. Effective at 6-7f and acts on AW. The drop back in trip helps but has not shown form for some time. Best form has been at 6f/7f and 1m2f was probably too far on recent stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (3/1 +40%)Francesi |
3/1(+40%) | (8) Francesi 3/1, Scored by 3 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark here two starts back. Ran to form when third beaten 1/2l off 62 last time. Has a wide draw but is suited by 8-9f and AW. Looks well treated. C&D winner this month and ran well from a poor draw at Wolverhampton last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (13) (5/1 +38%)Alpine Sierra |

In solid form and return to a mile looks ideal. Running well here off a favourable mark and returning to 1m should suit; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (18/1 -29%)The Cookstown Cafu |
18/1(-29%) | (9) The Cookstown Cafu 18/1, Made too much use of and was beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Has a wide draw. Effective at 7-8f and acts on AW. Mark is easing but with justification. On a dangerous mark but hasn't won for a good while now and quiet of late. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Needs to bounce back. Form can be hot and cold; ran in a higher grade here last week but beat only one home. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (12/1 +14%)Rainwater |
12/1(+14%) | (12) Rainwater 12/1, Made too much use of and raced wide when down the field in a handicap at Wolverhampton most recently. From a top course trainer. Effective around 8f and acts on AW. Can return to form. Two good runs back from a break and not sure what happened next time at Wolverhampton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (28/1 -75%)Samra Star |
28/1(-75%) | (5) Samra Star 28/1, Scored by 2l off a 1lb lower mark here in October but failed to settle off a slow early pace when tenth, beaten 9 1/4l off 67 last time. Effective at 7-9f and suited by AW. Mark is easing. Perhaps better at 7f than 1m and her latest run (here) was most disappointing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (20/1 -100%)Jesmond Dawn |
20/1(-100%) | (3) Jesmond Dawn 20/1, Won by 4 1/4l off a 9lb lower mark here in November but ran poorly when eighth, beaten 17l off 68 last time. Effective at 7-8f and acts on AW. Form has tailed off lately. Had been in great form here but last two efforts were backward steps, especially latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (16/1 -220%)Merapi |
16/1(-220%) | (11) Merapi 16/1, Ran about to form when beaten 2 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark at Wolverhampton last time. Trainer in form. Effective at 6-7f and acts on AW. Mark is easing but needs to find more. Got behind before staying on well for fourth at Wolverhampton (7f) last time; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (11/1 +31%)Renewable Dream |
11/1(+31%) | (6) Renewable Dream 11/1, Below form when beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap at Newmarket last time but had been in good form previously. Returns from a short break. Effective at 7-8f and acts on AW. Maiden but unexposed. A maiden but he showed promise on Tapeta as a 2yo and still has low mileage. |

The consistent FRANCESI bolted up over C&D two starts ago and was only narrowly denied off this mark at Wolverhampton a week ago. On that evidence, the six-year-old is the safest pick in an open event. Powerful Response has been knocking on the door of late and is likely to be in the mix once again, along with Second Fiddle.

He has a poor strike-rate overall but FRANCESI is bang in form, including with a win two starts back under today's pilot Myla Coppins.

Effective at 7f to 8f and acts on the all-weather. Mark falling but below best form. 0-15 for R Millman but has shown winning potential; sold 50,000gns this month; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (3/1 +0%)Instant Bond |
3/1(+0%) | (5) Instant Bond 3/1, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/2l off this mark here last time. Has a top course jockey on board. Probably effective at 5f to 7f and acts on the all-weather. Largely consistent and remains on a competitive mark. 0-11 but arrives in form and won't mind going back over 7f; one of the likelier ones. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (22/1 -267%)Elettaria |
22/1(-267%) | (7) Elettaria 22/1, Ran about to form when beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Redcar last time. Usually held up and drawn wide. Off a short break. Suited by 7f and the all-weather. May need the run after a short absence. Conditions ideal but best challenging late off a good pace and that is far from assured. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (9/1 +0%)Cloch Nua |
9/1(+0%) | (2) Cloch Nua 9/1, Had no chance after a poor break and finished down the field in a Wolverhampton handicap last time. Usually held up and effective at 7f to 8f. Bit to prove after two disappointing runs. Big chance on this year's best; quiet in two runs back from a summer break; market useful. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (9/1 -13%)Law Degree |
9/1(-13%) | (6) Law Degree 9/1, Rider dropped hands after a rival fell when finishing down the field in a handicap here last time. In good form prior. Suited by 7f and acts on the all-weather. Can bounce back at his preferred trip. On a losing run but conditions are fine and he lurks on a dangerous mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (15/2 +6%)Rory |
15/2(+6%) | (8) Rory 15/2, Unwilling when beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap here last time. Suited by 6f to 7f and handles any surface. Has been irresolute of late. Slow starter who is on a losing run of 24; others look more convincing at present. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (80/1 -300%)Sogannie |
80/1(-300%) | (9) Sogannie 80/1, Didn't stay when finishing down the field in a handicap at Southwell most recently. Effective at 7f and acts on the all-weather. Has shown very little since her debut. Poor form in two handicaps this winter; no appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (6/1 +8%)Rooska |
6/1(+8%) | (3) Rooska 6/1, Below form when a slow start didn't help, beaten 3l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Off a short break. Effective at 7f to 8f and acts on the all-weather. Needs to bounce back. 0-13 but often runs well; each-way claims off his lowly mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (15/2 -7%)Cooperation |
15/2(-7%) | (1) Cooperation 15/2, Poor effort when well beaten in a handicap here last time. Usually held up and drawn wide. Effective from 7f to 10f and handles any surface. Disappointing on his last two starts. On a good mark; failed to fire on last two starts but a revival is probably not far away. |

INSTANT BOND has made the frame on his last couple of starts off this mark and this moderate contest appears to be an ideal opportunity for the four-year-old to secure his first victory. Mapledurham has been running well in defeat of late and could pose the biggest threat, although Rooska and Law Degree are others who could go very well.

Instant Bond can go well back at 7f but MAPLEDURHAM may be able to make a winning stable debut.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (9/2 +0%)Little Ted |
9/2(+0%) | (2) Little Ted 9/2, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/2l off this mark here last time from a wide draw. Effective at 8-10f, acts on all-weather, and remains competitively treated, though 7f may be a slight concern. Solid second here (1m) last month; in the mix with a repeat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (9/2 -13%)Ana Emaraaty |
9/2(-13%) | (5) Ana Emaraaty 9/2, Ran to form over what looked an inadequate trip when beaten 3/4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Top course jockey booked. Effective 8-16f and acts on all-weather, though dropping in distance again seems a curious choice. Versatile trip-wise; 3rd over 1m here last time; place claims again if they don't dawdle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (6/1 -9%)Cable Beach |
6/1(-9%) | (7) Cable Beach 6/1, Won by a head off a 3lb lower mark at Southwell two starts back and ran to form when fourth, beaten 2 1/2l off 48 last time from a wide draw. Best at 7f, acts on all-weather, and in good form though the mark may now just anchor him. Southwell win last month was followed by a good run back there 11 days ago; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (5/1 +9%)Strobelight |
5/1(+9%) | (6) Strobelight 5/1, A bit below his best when beaten 4l off a 2lb higher mark at Southwell last time. Blinkers go on for the first time. Effective at 8-10f and acts on all-weather; likely to prefer a mile but the stiff track should help. 0-9 but he has threatened at a low level; change of headgear today; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (4/1 -33%)Bomb Squad |
4/1(-33%) | (1) Bomb Squad 4/1, Well backed and ran to the balance of form when beaten 3l off this mark at Wolverhampton last time. Effective at 6f and 7f, acts on all-weather, though the mark still looks on the stiff side. Banging at the door in recent months; major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (50/1 -100%)Fidget Lady |
50/1(-100%) | (8) Fidget Lady 50/1, Produced a poor effort when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time. From a top course trainer but yet to show any reliable form. Unplaced all six starts but made late headway over 6f last time; 7f may suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (250/1 -279%)Bovey Belle |
250/1(-279%) | (9) Bovey Belle 250/1, Showed no enthusiasm when finishing down the field in a handicap at Chelmsford last time. Returns from a short break but looks irresolute. Ten-race maiden; drops in trip with a lot to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (200/1 -700%)Cordelin |
200/1(-700%) | (3) Cordelin 200/1, Beaten 2f out as if something was amiss when well beaten in a novice here last time. Effective at 6f and acts on all-weather, but may have a breathing issue and looks a risky proposition. Tailed off on stable debut this month after a long absence; hard to fancy on h'cap debut. |

Bomb Squad and Little Ted both arrive here with strong claims following placed efforts on their most recent outings. However, preference is for ANA EMARAATY, who was beaten by less than a length when third over a mile here two weeks ago and the five-year-old makes plenty of appeal off a 1lb lower mark on this occasion. Wyvern has an each-way shout.

Strobelight can go well in his new headgear but BOMB SQUAD has been threatening and this could be his day.

2nd (1) (10/1 -100%)Mayo County |
10/1(-100%) | (1) Mayo County 10/1, Not best trip but below form on reappearance when beaten 6l in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective over 6/7f on a sound surface and may improve from that return run. C&D winner; on a good mark and she wasn't seen to best effect last time; dangerous. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (11/4 -10%)Yorkshire Glory |
11/4(-10%) | (7) Yorkshire Glory 11/4, Ran to form up 3lb when landing a handicap by a neck off a 2lb lower mark here last time; effective from 6-8f and acts on AW; in good form though his mark is becoming demanding, still a contender. Chasing a C&D hat-trick and should be in the thick of it again. |

4th (2) (13/2 +54%)Atomic Mass |
13/2(+54%) | (2) Atomic Mass 13/2, Below par when beaten 5l in a handicap at Southwell last time; wide draw to contend with; effective at 5/6f and acts on AW; needs to bounce back after two poor efforts. Promise on Tapeta in the autumn but his form has dipped on his last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (13/2 +59%)Ardaddy |
13/2(+59%) | (6) Ardaddy 13/2, Scored by 3/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Southwell in October; made too much use of when seventh beaten 7l off 58 last time; wide draw; effective at 6/7f on AW but a little out of form lately. 7f AW win in October; not so good since but he is capable off this mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (11/2 +15%)Spun To Gold |
11/2(+15%) | (5) Spun To Gold 11/2, Scored by a nose off a 1lb lower mark here three starts back; below form when making plenty of use of and finishing ninth, beaten 4 1/4l off 60 last time; effective 6/7f and acts on AW; dangerous if returning to form. AW hat-trick this autumn but his form has dipped on his last two starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (50/1 -150%)Sands Of Dubai |
50/1(-150%) | (8) Sands Of Dubai 50/1, Poor effort off a break when down the field in a handicap here most recently; from a top course trainer; best at 7f and acts on AW; lost form before the break and has something to prove now. 7f win AW in September; beaten just two rivals in three starts since; drops in trip today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

20/1(+0%) | (9) Tootsie 20/1, Poor effort when beaten 7l in a handicap here last time; in good form prior; cheekpieces on for the first time; trainer in form; effective 7/8f and acts on AW; maiden who failed to back up a good previous run. 0-15 for T Easterby but promise over further (inc Tapta); sold 3,000gns; headgear added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (40/1 -150%)Howzak |
40/1(-150%) | (3) Howzak 40/1, Made too much use of when beaten 5l in a handicap here last time; partnered by a top course jockey; enjoys making the running and acts on AW, though currently out of sorts. C&D win off 1lb higher last November; sharper for recent reappearance; not discounted. |

The hat-trick seeking Yorkshire Glory has to be high on the shortlist following back-to-back C&D victories. That said, GOLDMOYNE bolted up over this track and trip a couple of weeks ago and even an 11lb rise may still underestimate his ability. The rest have questions to answer right now, but Spun To Gold and Atomic Mass are the pick of them.

Goldmoyne bolted up here 13 days ago and can go well despite the 11lb rise. MAYO COUNTY caught the eye on her return though.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
