11:55 Fairyhouse Handicap Chase 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

QUEEN JANE may be able to score here on her return to action. The Mahler mare was progressive last season, winning her first two chase starts before falling at Punchestown when coming to fight out the finish in another competitive mares' handicap. She is just 1lb higher now and looks capable of further improvement. It was a dramatic race at Punchestown in April with Bonnie Kellie also crashing out at the final fence, leaving Indie Belle to pick up the pieces. Sam Curling's charge has already visited the winner's enclosure this season, scoring at Clonmel in October. She is 9lb worse off with Queen Jane now. Brides Hill tops the weights and was an easy winner in novice company at Listowel. She is another who has to be on the shortlist.

QUEEN JANE might be unbeaten over fences but for a last-fence fall at Punchestown in April and can make a successful return to action. Gavin Cromwell won this race last year and his Brides Hill, a winner on her Listowel reappearance in September, is feared most ahead of Bonnie Kellie.

It is hard to get away from BRIDES HILL(nap), a Listed winner last season and perhaps better than ever when bolting up at Listowel

LTO Selection:

12:10 Southwell Stakes (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point winner Matchadam made an encouraging start to his career under Rules when fourth at Hereford, while Caher Roes Den also struck between the flags and joined the Brookhouse team for 110,000 pounds after that success back in the spring. THE HAPPY CHAPATI doesn't have the advantage of previous competitive action, but he is a 78,000-pounds half-brother to former top-class hurdler The New One so is worth chancing on debut.

An interesting opener despite the lack of numbers. The suggestion is The New One's half-brother THE HAPPY CHAPATI, although a strong market move for Ben Brookhouse point recruit Caher Roes Den would put a slightly different slant on things given that the yard has the smart Brechin Castle to compare him to. Matchadam brings some fair form to the table courtesy of his Hereford fourth.

The Happy Chapati is of obvious interest but preference is for CAHER ROES DEN, whose yard has some good bumper horses.

12:25 Fairyhouse Conditions Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Willie Mullins picked out BATMAN GIRAC as a potential Triumph Hurdle challenger in a recent stable tour and it looks significant that he turns out here in the same race the stable won last year with Lossiemouth. The Bathyrhon gelding was a cosy winner on his second outing over hurdles in his native France and was snapped up for 150,000 euros at the sales the following month. Gordon Elliott runs two and jockey bookings would suggest that Kala Conti is the stable first choice. The Karaktar filly won easily on her Irish debut at Navan and although it probably wasn't the strongest contest, she couldn't have done it much more impressively. Nara is another intriguing runner on her first outing for Henry de Bromhead. The Jeu St Eloi filly won a Listed hurdle on her debut at Auteuil in April.

A competitive field with stacks of potential on show and it may pay to side with NARA, who bolted up in a listed newcomers event at Auteuil back in April and is open to any amount of improvement having joined leading connections. Batman Girac was snapped up for €150,000 at the sales following a cosy success at Compiegne 7 months ago so he heads up the dangers, with the unbeaten Kala Conti and Nurburgring another couple worth keeping a very close eye on.

Preference is for KALA CONTI who had a simple task at Navan last month but did it in a half-speed and looks very promising

12:35 Carlisle Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CITY DERBY was runner-up over 2m4f at Perth in September and Lizzie Quinlan's charge holds leading claims if coping with this drop in trip. Jipekaa Machin is entitled to build on his reappearance at Sedgefield in October and is also likely to be in the shake-up, while Poppy Rose warrants respect after posting a respectable third in a 22-runner contest at Navan last month.

RUSSIAN VIRTUE hasn't looked back since joining Rebecca Menzies and is fancied to rack up win number 8 for the yard with the form of his latest course success having been franked. Irish challenger Poppy Rose rates the chief threat on the back of her good recent Navan third, with the consistent City Derby and last year's victor Applaus also in the mix in an open handicap.

Joker Du Chenet looks interesting but his stablemate POPPY ROSE gets the vote after her creditable third in a big field at Navan.

12:40 Southwell Maiden (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BY THE GRACE will have given connections plenty of encouragement with her second on debut on the turf track here back in May, and confirmed that promise when again making the frame on her Lingfield return. That proved her ability to handle an artificial surface and she is taken to break through. Storm Spirit is also adept on the all-weather because she was only just denied on her Newcastle introduction prior to a less inspiring Wetherby effort. The Secret Pearl's Warwick second entitles her to lots of respect too.

This looks a decent chance for BY THE GRACE to get off the mark at the third time of asking. Warwick runner-up The Secret Pearl is feared most ahead of Dropitlikeitshot, who was 5 lengths behind the selection when fourth on her Lingfield debut.

The pick is STORM SPIRIT, who disappointed on turf in March but made a promising debut on this surface at Newcastle in February.

LTO Selection:

12:45 Leicester Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

QUEEN OF STEEL only found one too good on her hurdling debut at Fontwell last month and it would be no surprise to see her go a place better here. Walk The Moon was well held at Musselburgh last time but is a player based on his effort at Wetherby prior to that, while Seahouses is the pick of the remainder.

WALK THE MOON gets the nod in the hope that he can recapture his Wetherby form. The class-dropping Ellerton would rate a major threat if showing up here rather than Newcastle on Saturday.

A weak juvenile hurdle and ELLERTON has to be of strong interest as he ran okay in a warm race at Cheltenham.

MINELLA CROONER is a real galloper and this kind of trip looks right up his street. The Shantou gelding won a decent little conditions race in Wexford on his return and connections expected him to improve from the run. He remains on the same mark of 144 and looks to have a nice race like this in him. Sir Bob and Call The Tune do battle again, with just a short head separating the pair in a driving finish to the Cork National early last month. Both went up 7lb after that race and there might not be a lot between them again. The mare My Design beat some higher-rated rivals in Galway and it will be interesting to see how she fares back in handicap company now.

A winner on return in listed company at Wexford 16 days ago, MINELLA CROONER has often shaped like he'd be suited by this sort of test and he could be the way to go on his handicap debut. Call The Tune and Diol Ker head up the dangers, with My Design another to consider.

Preference is for MY DESIGN, a model of consistency under both codes and could be ready to land one of these after winning at Galway

VALLEYVIEW TOMMY offered plenty to work with on his Rules debut when third at Kelso in October and any improvement from Sandy Thomson's gelding may be enough for him to open his account. Hubbel Bubbel displayed enough promise when fifth at Sedgefield last month to suggest that he can play a part in the finish too, with Askmore completing the shortlist.

Sandy Thomson holds a strong hand here with ROB ROY MACGREGOR and Valleyview Tommy looking the pair to focus on. Each displayed promise on their respective hurdling debuts recently, with the narrow vote in favour of the former who shaped as though this longer trip would suit. Hubbel Bubbel may do best of the remainder.

Course bumper winner ROB ROY MACGREGOR appears to have been found a good opportunity here.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Libby's official rating would give her obvious claims, but she is flattered by it if her runs since arriving from Ireland are a reliable indication of her current ability. Choirmaster, Brian's Jet and Chadlington Lad have similar marks and have experience of handicaps, but a chance is taken on DARK MYSTERY. The Ben Brookhouse-trained four-year-old showed up for a long way in a good Kempton contest last Christmas, and was last seen running fairly off a figure of 68 on the level.

Hard to get a gauge on this but LITTLE PETER was a bumper winner in September and has few miles on the clock. A big run could be on the way under Harry Cobden. Riccirella and Dark Mystery might be a couple of the other more interesting ones.

Flat form could prove of greater significance than hurdling exploits and that angle makes BLOW YOUR HORN (nap) a strong contender.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SUPASUNRISE returned to winning ways over this trip at Warwick just under a month ago and is hard to oppose off just a 4lb higher mark. Miltiades was third in that contest and Henry Daly's gelding could get closer to the selection here as that was his first start for 172 days. Cloudy Wednesday edges out Barrakhov to be best of the rest.

MILTIADES was behind Supasunrise at Warwick last month but that was Henry Daly's charge first outing for 8 months so he's entitled to come on for the outing and a 5 lb swing in the weights might be enough for him to turn the tables on his old rival. Cokytho failed to trouble the judge in Britain last season but is fairly treated on his French form and might make more of an impact having switched yards ahead of his reappearance.

Henry Daly's MILTIADES was eased on the run-in when third to Supasunrise at Warwick and has a chance of reversing those placings.

AN TOBAR looked very smart when making a winning 'track' debut over C&D last month and can confirm that impression. The Gentlewave gelding, a point-to-point winner in January 2022, met with a 'little bit of a setback', forcing him to miss last season, and connections will be keen to make up for lost time. Encanto Bruno was impressive on his first start for Gavin Cromwell at Cheltenham in late October and that looks strong form. Softer ground now is a question mark for the Mahler gelding. Gordon Elliott runs three and Farren Glory would appear to be the number one hope on jockey bookings. The Fame And Glory gelding was impressive when taking his maiden hurdle at Clonmel last month. He was free enough that day and it's interesting to see him dropped in trip now.

AN TOBAR looked a highly exciting prospect when making a winning debut in a C&D maiden with plenty in hand and can take this step up in class in his stride. Encanto Bruno resumed progress when making a winning debut for this yard at Cheltenham in impressive fashion and is next best ahead of Farren Glory, who looks the pick of Gordon Elliott's trio.

Not a particularly strong race for a Grade 1. Impressive C&D maiden winner AN TOBAR may be equal to the challenge

LTO Selection:

13:35 Carlisle Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Marty Mcfly only finished seventh on his opening bid over timber at Ayr last month and sets just a modest standard of those with hurdling experience. With that in mind, it may be worth taking a chance on Irish point winner FLAUBERT. Donald McCain's charge ran out a wide-margin winner between the flags in May and he may have too much class for these rivals. Wal Buck's is another to consider.

FLAUBERT is in very good hands and appeals on paper too so Donald McCain's newcomer is taken to go in at the first time of asking and supplement his Irish point success. Fellow debutant Wal Buck's should be all the better for a recent bumper fifth here and rates the main danger ahead of Marty McFly, who could be one more for the future but needs considering if the market vibes are positive.

The suggestion is FLAUBERT, who joined Donald McCain after an impressive Irish point win in the spring.

SUPREMELY WEST has been a very progressive sort under Rules, winning five of his six appearances, and Dr Richard Newland's charge ticks plenty of the right boxes competing on these terms. Minella Choice is rated 18lb inferior to the selection over hurdles but the seven-year-old appears the chief threat, ahead of Jimmy Boy, who may be perked up by the application of a first-time visor.

Unbeaten in 3 starts in bumpers, SUPREMELY WEST has continued the good work over hurdles, making it 2 wins from 3 starts in that sphere at Sedgefield 24 days ago. This looks a good opportunity for him to enhance his already impressive strike rate. Filanderer and Minella Choice may give him most to think about.

The stand-out candidate is SUPREMELY WEST, who was 3-3 in bumpers last season and has comfortably won novice hurdles the last twice.

THANK YOU BLUE won well on his hurdling debut at Sedgefield last month and the son of Blue Bresil clearly sets the standard here, despite having to carry a 6lb penalty. Jemura was disappointing at Kempton when last seen in May but should not be underestimated on his return following a wind operation. Ottoline will need to improve to score but she merits consideration.

It might be worth taking a chance that wind surgery has had a positive effect on JEMURA. Sedgefield winner Thank You Blue rates an obvious danger, while Ottoline could leave March's Chepstow hurdle debut behind with the Venetia Williams stable continuing in fine form.

Thank You Blue had his Sedgefield form franked this week but he may struggle to concede a penalty to JEMURA.

LETSBECLEARABOUTIT has won both chase runs easily. Fourth in two Grade 1 hurdles last term, he steps up from his recent Grade 3 win but such was the manner of that easy success, he can progress further at this same distance. Six-time Grade 1-winning hurdler Sharjah won well at Galway and in a Tipperary Grade 3 in October. He lacks the size of the selection and is a late-comer to chasing aged 10, but nonetheless is high-class. Found A Fifty comfortably beat Colonel Mustard on his Down Royal chase debut and while he can progress, had nonetheless previously failed in two Grade 1 hurdles. Perceval Legallois, a 135-rated hurdler, was being niggled along when falling behind the selection at Cork and would prefer further. I Am Maximus won April's Irish National at this course and while a high-class stayer, his customary left-jumping tendency is a negative over this inadequate distance and he lacks race-fitness.

LETSBECLEARABOUTIT created an excellent impression when making it 2 from 2 over fences in a Grade 3 at Cork and can complete the hat-trick. Sharjah s doing plenty to justify his late-career switch to chasing and is feared most ahead of Found A Fifty, who looked a natural over fences when making a winning debut in this sphere at Down Royal on his return.

Gordon Elliott's FOUND A FIFTY won decisively on his chasing debut at Down Royal and may enhance the stable's fine record in this race

AILIE ROSE was set some stiff assignments last season, but still made great strides and picked up a nice pot at the Irish National meeting. This is her first appearance since struggling at the Punchestown Festival, but she faces an altogether different test and is capable of successfully conceding weight all round. Barbados Buck's made a pleasing start for Daragh Bourke when fourth at Ayr and looks a bigger threat than Court Dreaming.

COURT DREAMING ran well back from a break when fourth over fences here in October and is now only 1 lb higher than for his C&D win last year. Barbados Buck's made a positive start for this yard when fourth at Ayr and is next best.

WHIZZ KID shaped far better than the beaten distance suggested when fourth at Newbury last month and the seven-year-old looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to regain the winning thread. Sarsons Risk is a useful performer on the Flat and may give the selection most to think about, ahead of the upwardly-mobile Russian Virtue, who was last seen springing a surprise in a handicap hurdle at Carlisle in October.

A case can be made for a few of these but SARSONS RISK made a promising return when fifth on the Flat at Newcastle recently and this fairly useful Flat/hurdles scorer can make a winning debut in this sphere now. Rebecca Menzies holds a strong hand and her duo Russian Virtue and Show No Fear can both have a say along with Brian Ellison's Kiss My Face.

Preference is for SARSONS RISK, who returned from a break with a very encouraging run in a 2m Flat handicap on this surface last month.

Connections of last year's winner TEAHUPOO will have a follow-up bid firmly in their sights and perhaps he can defeat Impaire Et Passe. The selection was the first horse to beat Honeysuckle when winning this race last year and while ultimately he is a stayer, he is high-class and will be ready on reappearance. Impaire Et Passe fits the mould of a Willie Mullins-trained horse with monstrous ability, but reappears in a race which his champion trainer has 'only' won three times. He impressively won at the Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals last season but, in contrast to the selection, might have an eye to later targets this season. Ashroe Diamond is already a Fairyhouse specialist and while thoroughly dependable, faces a tougher task than the Grade 1 she won against her own sex here in April. Zanahiyr is race-fit and in form but is vulnerable to top-class rivals, while Buddy One is thoroughly progressive and consistent but steps out of handicap company.

IMPAIRE ET PASSE is hugely exciting and may emerge as the main threat to Constitution Hill's dominance over hurdles this term. He can take this, although expect last year's winner Teahupoo to put up a stiff fight. Ashroe Diamond probably shouldn't be dismissed either after her impressive win here in April.

Last year's winner TEAHUPOO has a good record when fresh and is a viable alternative to unbeaten Ballymore winner Impaire Et Passe

HOSTILE HOTELIER attracted plenty of market support ahead of his handicap debut and justified it with a determined display over 2m at Hexham. The way he stuck to his guns strongly suggested that this trip can help spark further improvement and that was his first run since May, which should also help bring him forward. Barney Stinson would be feared more were it not for his 16-month absence, so Dance Thief is put forward as the one for forecast backers.

A weak contest which should go the way of HOSTILE HOTELIER, who made a winning start in handicap company at Hexham last month and promises to find the extra couple of furlongs here to his benefit. Barney Stinson has been off the track for 16 months but would pose a serious threat if returning in top form, with the low-mileage Dance Thief a modest pick for third.

The most obvious answer is HOSTILE HOTELIER, who moves back up in trip after winning over 2m on his recent handicap debut.

14:55 Southwell Stakes (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CAPTAIN MORGS bounced back to form when second over fences at Huntingdon a month ago and Nicky Henderson's gelding is hard to oppose in a race of this nature. Punxsutawney Phil won a bumper on Tapeta on his debut at Newcastle back in 2021 and he should not be underestimated as a result, while Top Ville Ben completes the shortlist.

TOP VILLE BEN and Captain Morgs are much the best of these over jumps, with preference for the more reliable former despite his bad Aintree experience 5 weeks ago.

The Nicky Henderson-trained CAPTAIN MORGS is a useful hurdler and chaser, and he earns the vote.

15:00 Leicester Handicap Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BALLYCAMUS lost little in defeat when finding only Benign Dictator too strong at Warwick last month. A 2lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from opening his account at the first attempt over fences. Special Acceptance should put his experience in this discipline to good effect and is a viable alternative, while it's too early to write off the lightly-raced Inflexible.

BALLYCAMUS has shaped well on both his starts back from a break this season and this Irish point winner remains of interest now going chasing with his yard remaining in fine form. Brandisova and Special Acceptance are feared most having made promising reappearances at Lingfield and Huntingdon respectively.

Preference is for BALLYCAMUS, who matched his best hurdles RPR last time and there's reason to believe he might be better over fences.

15:10 Fairyhouse Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FOXY GIRL ran well on recent handicap hurdle debut and might turn placings with two rivals and win. A capable keen-goer, she was anchored in rear at Down Royal and having finished nicely despite making a late mistake, should improve experience-wise and is 5lb better off with winner Magic Tricks and 1lb with runner-up The Model Kingdom - who both had a race-fitness edge. Media Naranja was defeated in one previous handicap and while raised 5lb for a recent Grade 3 placing, her rider claims 5lb. Her stablemate Ted Hastings ran well at Galway in October, while Flamborough won a recent maiden and has handicap experience. Conyers Hill faces a tougher task than when winning at Cork, while Coeur Sublime is in form from the Flat but his previous hurdle race was in December 2020. Jeff Kidder is a dual C&D winner but needs to return to form, while Royal Eagle was well beaten at Cheltenham. Common Practice runs in a first-time tongue-tie and was beaten 25 lengths at Naas.

Plenty are in with a shout. FOXY GIRL shaped well on her first go in handicaps when a running-on third at Down Royal and can build on that here to gain her second hurdling success. Ted Hastings figures on a handy mark and could emerge as the chief threat to Henry de Bromhead's low-mileage mare, although a solid case can also be made for The Model Kingdom, Magic Tricks, Flamborough and Conyers Hill.

Down Royal third FOXY GIRL has good prospects of turning the tables on the winner Magic Tricks and runner-up The Model Kingdom

Malicash was a length and a position ahead of Al Kalila when third at Kelso, but they come up against some interesting newcomers to this discipline. Sea God and Tigga Time both won their sole starts between the flags and sold for 50,000 pounds and 30,000 pounds respectively. However, WALK ON QUEST changed hands for a six-figure sum after finishing runner-up in an Irish point-to-point, where a recent maiden hurdle winner was just behind him.

A few in with a squeak but AL KALILA took a step forward from his debut effort when fourth at Kelso just over 3 weeks ago and with further progress on the cards, he's taken to make it third time lucky at the expense of Walk On Quest, who finished runner-up on his sole start in Irish points but represents a yard going great guns. Malicash and Tigga Time can do battle for minor honours.

British maiden point winner SEA GOD has his first run for Irish trainer John McConnell and gets the nod ahead of Walk On Quest.

ANNIE DAY was given a fine ride when landing the spoils on her reappearance at Warwick last month and Ben Case's mare looks more than capable of completing a double off 6lb higher in the ratings. Harkangel displayed enough ability with her fourth-placed finish at Sedgefield to suggest that she can get involved at this level. Despite being just out of the handicap, Sindabella lurks on an attractive mark and is also worth a second look.

A tight-knit handicap in which marginal preference is for HARKANGEL who should be all the better for her recent Sedgefield fourth after an absence and remains with few miles on the clock. The reliable Dazzling Dove could emerge as the main threat on her seasonal return, although Bushtucker Park and Annie Day need factoring in too.

Having pulled well clear with the runner-up when winning on her reappearance at Warwick last month, ANNIE DAY (nap) can follow up.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PETIT SECRET was in contention when falling on point-to-point debut and has joined Willie Mullins, who raced his Grade 1-placed half-sister Analifet. A sibling to four black-type performers, he fell at the second-last when debuting for Pat Doyle at Lisronagh and could be smart. Bleu De Vassy was beaten by a well-backed winner at Sligo in October (His Nibs finished fourth) and is experienced, with his rider claiming 5lb. Stablemate Undeniable Alibi, a 170,000-euro three-year-old purchase, won readily on Punchestown point-to-point debut for Colin Bowe and has also joined top connections. That pointing form is just ordinary but he was the clear winner and it is encouraging connections run in a bumper. Skyville is a half-sister to black-type bumper winner Dixie Lee, with Finny Maguire riding her instead of tongue-tied stablemate Al Gasparo, on whom he won a Loughrea point-to-point for Ciaran Murphy last March. Fascinating Story, interestingly, derails from hurdling and could improve in a first-time hood.

BLEU DE VASSY might be able to make his experience tell having finished a good second at Sligo, although stablemate Undeniable Alibi and Petit Secret are obvious dangers first time up in this sphere.

The one to be on could be the Elliott runner UNDENIABLE ALIBI, impressive point winner for Colin Bowe in February at Punchestown
