(2) The Same (6/5 -9%)
The Same

6/5(-9%)
(2) The Same 6/5, Low-mileage 6-y-o who scored on hurdles debut at Market Rasen (20.6f) in March prior to pair of in-the-frame efforts. Jumped accurately and ran out an impressive winner on chase debut at aforementioned venue in November and looks destined for better things. Should stay (winning Irish pointer).
Won in fine style on chase debut and could still be well treated even after a 9lb rise.
(1) Twinjets (8/11 +9%)
Twinjets

8/11(+9%)
(1) Twinjets 8/11, Dual bumper winner who attained a useful level over hurdles, winning 3 times at up to 21f for Milton Harris. All the better for chase bow when making a winning debut for this yard at Doncaster 12 days ago, looking better than ever. Open to further improvement as a chaser.
Easy win at Doncaster recently on first run for Paul Nicholls; 9lb rise might not stop him.
LTO Selection:

11:50 Wetherby Handicap Chase (Class 3) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

TWINJETS made the perfect start to life under the tutelage of Paul Nicholls when landing the spoils in taking fashion at Doncaster. The handicapper has had his say by putting the six-year-old up 9lb, but there should be more to come from him over this distance. The Same created a deep impression on his chasing bow when justifying favouritism at Market Rasen and can give the selection plenty to think about.

Hard to split THE SAME and Twinjets who both ran out impressive winners over fences last time, the former shading the vote.

Narrow preference is for TWINJETS, who is taken to make it 2-2 for Paul Nicholls, but The Same could also still be well treated.

12:00 Chepstow Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The Fergal O'Brien stable can do little wrong at present and this looks like an ideal opportunity for CHECK THE SCORE to open his hurdles account following a taking bumper success on his debut under Rules at Warwick in April. The form of that contest may not have worked out in the interim but, as a point-to-point winner, he should relish going up in distance on his hurdles bow. A costly sort who ran out early on his Rules debut at Ascot last November, Broughshane must enter calculations, along with Largy Poet and Minella Blueway.

CHECK THE SCORE showed a good attitude to get up in the final 50 yds in a Warwick bumper in April and, with the longer trip sure to suit on this switch to hurdling, he's fancied to make it 2 from 2 under Rules. Minella Blueway has shaped well on both his starts over hurdles and remains with potential, while successful pointer Mahland and Largy Poet are others to consider.

Irish point winner MINELLA BLUEWAY was placed in similar races to this on his first two hurdling starts and still has potential.

LTO Selection:

12:05 Leopardstown Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A dual winner on the Flat, NDAAWI was far from disgraced in a Listed event last time and this could be a good opportunity if taking to this new discipline. Limerick maiden scorer Ethical Diamond merits respect on his hurdling debut for the Willie Mullins team, along with Mordor and Evening's Empire, who sports a first-time hood having hit the crossbar on her hurdling bow 17 days ago.

Several interesting hurdle newcomers but LARK IN THE MORNIN will set a good standard for them to aim at if making the expected improvement on the back of his promising hurdle debut second at Punchestown. Ethical Diamond, Ndaawi and Mordor head the many likely types among the hurdle debutants, while Evening's Empire is also respected on the back of her Cork second.

Ethical Diamond holds obvious appeal but LARK IN THE MORNIN was of similar Flat ability and he's had a run over hurdles.

LTO Selection:

12:19 Limerick Maiden Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GARDE LA PECHE made such an impression in a point-to-point at Durrow in March that she was since purchased by the high-flying Robcour outfit, and is now in the hands of Henry De Bromhead. This looks like a perfect way to get her career under Rules off to a flyer, with French recruit Judicieuse Allen looking best placed to chase her home, being by a sire that her trainer has had plenty of success with in the past. Pallas Athene arrives with a similar profile to the selection and must also enter calculations.

GARDE LA PECHE, Judicieuse Allen and Pallas Athene are interesting recruits for their top yards and could be the trio to concentrate on. Peference is for the first-named, who was a facile winner of a maiden point during the spring. Judicieuse Allen, runner-up on her sole start in France, is just about second choice ahead of Pallas Athene. Milanaway is not without each-way hope.

With the benefit of racecourse experience, JUDICIEUSE ALLEN could go one better than on debut in France back in January.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ABBEYHILL found only subsequent Ascot scorer Top Cloud too strong on his latest outing at Taunton and a 5lb rise may not be enough to prevent the six-year-old from regaining the winning thread. The hat-trick seeking Shewearsthewellies isn't taken lightly and is likely to give another good account of herself. Hexham victor Clovis Boy should have more to come now faced with a stiffer test of stamina, while handicap debutant Knacker Trapper is one to consider at longer odds.

IT'S MAISY relished the step up to around 3m when making a successful start to her handicap career at Market Rasen and is narrowly preferred to fellow lightly-raced improver Clovis Boy. The thriving Shewearsthewellies and Neil Mulholland's Abbeyhill are others likely to have a say.

Competitive stuff. CLOVIS BOY has been in good form over 2m4f since moving into handicaps and this step up in trip can suit.

JACKPOT D'ATHOU is clearly held in high regard by connections, having been entered in the Grade 1 at Aintree on Boxing Day before being reverted to this much easier contest. A winner over C&D on his hurdles bow last month, the son of Doctor Dino can defy a 7lb penalty, with talented mare Followango looking best placed to chase him home after an easy success in a Ffos Las bumper. Imperial Saint and Ito Ditto are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

Plenty of depth to this with IMPERIAL SAINT awarded the vote to complete the hat-trick following a smooth success at Ludlow a month ago. Jackpot d'Athou swerved a Grade 1 to come here so has to command respect, with Ito Ditto also arriving on the up.

Jackpot D'Athou faces IMPERIAL SAINT who was not hard pressed to score at Ludlow. Followango hacked up in her bumper.

Feu Du Bresil found only his well-supported stablemate too strong on last month's fencing bow, and he should be on the premises with improvement on the cards, but the vote goes to MARINE NATIONALE. Last seen cruising to victory in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, the classy six-year-old ought to excel over the larger obstacles, for all that he does have fitness to prove. Others to note include Firm Footings and Ho My Lord.

All eyes will be on MARINE NATIONALE, who maintained his unbeaten record with a fine performance in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March and he is already ante-post favourite with several firms for the Arkle at this season's Festival. Granted a clean round of jumping, he will prove very hard to beat. Ho My Lord shaped with plenty of promise behind a smart stablemate on his chase debut at Thurles and is preferred to Firm Footings for forecast purposes.

This is all about MARINE NATIONALE who is already favourite in some lists for the Arkle. He was last term's standout 2m novice hurdler.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MATTERHORN split a pair of subsequent winners when attempting to saddle a penalty at Taunton last time, and a mark of 128 could yet underestimate Paul Nicholls' gelding now switched to handicaps. Rock House was far from disgraced in the Persian War at Chepstow, finishing third, and the unexposed son of Westerner is fancied to go well. It's been a while since Soaring Glory last tasted success, but a drop in class ought to aid his chance.

MATTERHORN didn't appear to find a great deal off the bridle when runner-up in a Taunton novice last time, but it would be premature to question his constitution at this early stage and, in any case, that form looks all the better in light of the easy subsequent victories of the two that he divided. With improvement likely now pitched into a handicap, he gets the nod ahead of Aurigny Mill, who did the job well at Wincanton recently, and fellow handicap debutant Rock House.

Front-running MATTERHORN (nap) has strong claims and could well prove very difficult to peg back. Rock House is feared most.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Trainer David Christie landed this contest last year and he can follow suit this time around with HATHAWAYS COTTAGE, who was an impressive winner of a Ballindenisk point-to-point earlier in the month. The daughter of Mahler remains totally unexposed after just four starts between the flags and is preferred to Romeo Magico and Dromleigh, who ran with plenty of credit when third at Fairyhouse last month.

DROMLEIGH made a promising start to his hunter career at Fairyhouse last month and gets the nod, although market confidence behind David Christie point winner Hathaways Cottage would put a slightly different slant on things. Romeo Magic is another interesting Rules newcomer.

HATHAWAYS COTTAGE is lightly raced in points and could be the one to focus on, representing the connections of last year's winner.

GAZETTE BOURGEOISE was just denied by the progressive James Jet on her seasonal bow at Ffos Las earlier in the month. The pair drew 22 lengths clear of the third-placed finisher that day and a 3lb rise looks far from insurmountable for Ben Case's charge. Midnight Mary has posted some creditable efforts in class 3 events of late and she should be in the mix on this drop in grade. Anti Bridgie also looks capable of landing a race at this level.

GAZETTE BOURGEOISE travelled best throughout the race and was only mugged in the dying strides when returning to action at Ffos Las recently. Moving back up in trip here will not be a problem and she is taken to open her chase account at the eighth attempt. Anti Bridgie has made a positive start over fences and is feared most ahead of Haute Estime and Onestepatatime.

The lightly raced 6yo ANTI BRIDGIE (nap) has been a promising third on her two chase starts and can get off the mark over fences here.

13:05 Chepstow Handicap Chase (Class 2) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

GOOD RISK AT ALL is the least exposed of these and that should be an advantage as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing display at Cheltenham, where he failed to stay over three miles. A winner over close to this distance on his penultimate outing at Carlisle, Sam Thomas' charge should be at home in these conditions. The veteran First Flow showed plenty of his old zest when runner-up at Ascot on his return and he looks to be a big threat to the selection, along with former Grade 1 winner here Quel Destin.

GOOD RISK AT ALL is worth another chance to confirm chase debut promise off what looks a nice mark back in a handicap. Classy-veteran First Flow is the obvious threat under top weight.

3m stretched him last month but GOOD RISK AT ALL impressed over 2m4f on his chasing debut and still has more to offer over fences.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

After finishing second in this race 12 months ago, CAPTAIN GUINNESS had the unenviable task of chasing home Energumene and Jonbon at Cheltenham and Sandown respectively. He capitalised on a drop in class when making a successful return in the Fortria and can deservedly register a breakthrough Grade 1 triumph now. A Willie Mullins quartet stands in his way, with Paul Townend on the returning Gentleman De Mee, although progressive mare Dinoblue might be the champion trainer's best hope. Dysart Dynamo and Saint Roi were behind the selection at Navan.

CAPTAIN GUINNESS looked every bit as good as ever when seeing off a couple of these in the Fortria at Naas last month and can provide the Henry de Bromhead yard with a third win in this in the last 5 years. Dinoblue is the mount of Mark Walsh from the J P McManus trio and might provide the chief threat ahead of Gentleman de Mee.

Willie Mullins fields four of the five here but the quartet could struggle to keep Henry de Bromhead's CAPTAIN GUINNESS (nap) at bay

Having been narrowly denied on his hurdling bow earlier this month, Ithaca's Arrow must be respected, but the vote goes to SIR GINO. A Listed winner on debut when trained in France, Nicky Henderson's gelding could be useful and he is fancied to defy a 253-day absence. Torneo is another who must enter calculations, while Nachtgeist is worth a second look in the betting too.

The listed race SIR GINO won at Auteuil in April worked out very well indeed and this well-touted Triumph Hurdle candidate can successfully concede weight all round. Ithaca's Arrow and Insanity will ensure he doesn't have it all his own way.

Good prospect SIR GINO is taken to defy a 5lb penalty before having his sights raised. Torneo is second choice.

A beaten favourite when second in a Grade 2 at Cork last time, HARMONYA MAKER can gain compensation on the step up in trip, while upholding form with Hauturiere (fourth), who has three lengths to make up from that contest. Gordon Elliott's mare was a taking winner on her chase debut at Gowran Park and she remains open to plenty of improvement with conditions in her favour. Henning may have a bit to find with these on hurdle ratings, but she is a capable sort on her day.

HAUTURIERE was three lengths adrift of Harmonya Maker at Cork recently but she was unsuited by the drop in trip and it was her first run following a seven-month absence, whereas Gordon Elliott's charge had race-fitness on her side. Hauturiere remains capable of better and is taken to make it a third successive win in this race for the Willie Mullins yard. Harmonya Maker will nevertheless be a big threat if her stamina holds out, while Sainte Dona is best of the rest.

This looks likely to boil down to Hauturiere and HARMONYA MAKER with slight preference for the latter. Henning is not ignored.

Konfusion has been off for a long time since his third on hurdling debut at Southwell, but is one to consider. Sao Carlos, who was strongly supported in the betting on his jumping bow at Lingfield last month, is also respected despite having jumped out to the right on several occasions. However, BANTEER has a tad more experience and with the form of his Wincanton third looking solid, the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding may have the edge.

SAO CARLOS should have derived plenty from last month's hurdling debut at Lingfield, so he's a confident choice to open his account at the second time of asking in this sphere. Banteer is open to further improvement, with Walk On Quest an intriguing Rules newcomer.

The standard set by those who have raced over hurdles isn't a great one and this could go to the point runner-up WALK ON QUEST.

TANGANYIKA stepped forward from his return to action when scoring at Bangor earlier in the month and a 4lb rise might not be enough to stop the five-year-old from progressing further. Classic Concorde arrives in the form of his life, having won four of his last five starts, and the 10-year-old is expected to provide a stern challenge once again. Uncle Bert and Mario De Pail appeal most of the remainder.

BELLS OF PETERBORO needs to shrug off a lesser display at Lingfield on his latest outing but his record around here is a solid one (won this race 2 years ago) and it would come as no surprise to see him bounce back equipped with a first-time visor. Bangor-winner Tanganyika remains unexposed at staying trips and he's feared, with J'ai Froid and Classic Concorde also in the mix.

Plenty can be given a realistic chance but CLASSIC CONCORDE is taken to extend his tremendous revival with another win.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Down Memory Lane comfortably went in by three lengths to be successful on his hurdle debut at Down Royal and looks to have plenty of potential. However, marginal preference is for DADDY LONG LEGS, who took care of more experienced rivals at Thurles on his Irish debut and he is likely to improve a great deal from that effort. The four-year-old could be anything and can take this before moving onto better things. Predators Gold was a taking winner at Punchestown and can fight it out for the minor honours.

DADDY LONG LEGS and Down Memory Lane are two very smart prospects and look set to fight out the finish. Choosing between them isn't at all easy but Willie Mullins has landed six of the last eight runnings of this and Daddy Long Legs, who is Paul Townend's pick of the yard's four runners, was a most impressive winner on his hurdles debut at Thurles and he is marginally preferred. Down Memory Lane's stablemate Caldwell Potter is third choice.

Several impressive maiden winners who could be potentially high-class, DADDY LONG LEGS getting ther nod over Down Memory Lane

(3) Nickle Back 6/5, Has looked a real natural since sent chasing, winning handicaps at Warwick and Stratford (both at around 2½m on good/heavy) with minimum fuss in recent months. Ran a cracker upped in grade when runner-up to Hermes Allen at Newbury earlier this month and no surprise should he go one better.
Left a good impression over fences at about 2m4f; drop in trip should be OK.

Up 6 lb for that narrow miss and didn't really lose anything in defeat when conceding first run to Elixir de Nutz at Newbury earlier this month. Even more to come.
Bright start over fences, including against experienced rivals; worth a go in this grade.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Nickle Back was no match for Hermes Allen in the John Francome over 2m4f at Newbury last time, but he sets the standard on official ratings and ought to mount a serious challenge. That said, MASTER CHEWY might have more pace over this shorter trip and Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge shades preference. Bourbali and Soul Icon have a bit to find, but they're open to further improvement over the larger obstacles and neither should be underestimated.

A potential match between NICKLE BACK and Master Chewy, with marginal preference for the former who has looked a real natural since sent chasing and Sarah Humphrey's 7-y-o can make it 3-4 in this sphere. It's tough to ascertain what Bourbali has achieved over fences so far, but with improvement on the cards, he could well profit should the main protagonists fluff their lines.

If Nickle Back copes with the drop in trip he is a threat, but MASTER CHEWY should be treated as the likeliest winner.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Useful bumper performer NO TIME TO WAIT scored over timber at the second time of asking with a ready victory at Cork last time. The Walk In The Park gelding is clearly open to further improvement and is fancied to go in again. 2022 Grand National winner Noble Yeats has only one hurdling run to his name, a bloodless success in a Navan maiden back in March 2021. Emmet Mullins' charge is a fascinating contender, but probably has bigger targets for later in the season. Sa Majeste makes his seasonal return for powerful connections and warrants respect, especially if attracting support in the betting market.

This trip is on the short side for NOBLE YEATS, whose campaign will almost certainly be geared up around a third successive appearance in the Grand National at Aintree in April, a race that he won in 2022 and was a fine fourth last season. Still, he was an easy winner of his sole previous start in this sphere and could prove too strong for promising novice No Time To Wait and Sa Majeste, who failed to fire on debut for this yard but remains of interest in view of what he showed in France.

The 2022 Grand National winner NOBLE YEATS won his sole hurdling start in 2021 and should be too classy for these.

Royal Ascot winner BURDETT ROAD has made a bright start to his hurdling career and backed up his debut success at Huntingdon by landing a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month. He showcased his versatility with regards to tactics on that occasion and should stamp his authority here, despite having to give 5lb to all of his rivals. Harsh built on his Punchestown third when scoring at Cork and is likely to enter calculations, while others to note include Balboa, who finished second at Cheltenham last time, and Salver.

BURDETT ROAD looked very good at Cheltenham and should have too much for this opposition. With doubts about Harsh's jumping it could be that Salver is in the one to give James Owen's charge most to do.

Former smart Flat racer BURDETT ROAD needs to be winning this to retain favouritism for the Triumph.

Paul Nicholls introduces a highly appealing stable debutant in the shape of KABRAL DU MATHAN, who won his sole start over hurdles in France and looks well placed to make a big impact on his first run on these shores. Having handled cut in the ground, he looks set to encounter ideal underfoot conditions and heads the shortlist based on potential for further progression. Ironopolis and Captain Potter are feared most of those with previous jumping experience, while the ex-Irish Silverbridge is notable on his hurdles/stable debut.

KABRAL DU MATHAN rates the clear form pick on his debut victory at Clairefontaine in the summer and is hard to oppose now starting out with Paul Nicholls. Silverbridge has some fair form to his name on the level so could emerge as the main danger now going hurdling for his new yard ahead of Sedgefield-third Ironopolis.

There's not much strength in depth here and KABRAL DU MATHAN may be able to defy a penalty for his win in France in the summer.

14:20 Leopardstown Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CONYERS HILL has been in cracking form since his return to the fray, winning two of his last three outings and his latest third in Listed company at Fairyhouse reads very well in the context of this race. The son of Walk In The Park looks to be on an upward curve and he is fancied to go in again here. Nusret filled the runner-up spot in Grade 3 company at Fairyhouse earlier in the month and he looks like an interesting contender stepping back into handicap company, while Fortunedefortunata is another to note after his comfortable success off 9lb lower at Navan.

ONE LAST TANGO was a good third in this 12 months ago and looks set for another bold bid after his promising fourth at Navan last month. That Navan race was won by Fortunedefortunata and a 9 lb rise for that is unlikely to prevent another prominent showing from Gordon Elliott's charge. Still Ciel and Conyers Hill are others to consider.

Very competitive but it could be worth taking a chance on CONYERS HILL regaining the winning thread after an unlucky Fairyhouse third

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

BOOTHILL arrives here on the back of two wins at Ascot and a 3lb rise for the most recent of those victories may not be enough to stop the progressive eight-year-old. That said, Elixir De Nutz is also seeking a hat-trick and cannot be discounted as a result. Editeur Du Gite and Nube Negra have both yet to show their best this season but should not be written off just yet.

BOOTHILL has already landed a pair of hot Ascot handicaps this season and Harry Fry's gelding can progress further, with only a 3 lb rise for his latest success looking more than manageable. Elixir de Nutz arrives here in the form of his life and also can't be discounted, whilst Editeur du Gite, who won the corresponding contest last season, looks on a fair mark if able to return to anywhere near his best form.

As this is now a handicap, a chance is taken on last year's winner EDITEUR DU GITE from a reduced mark

LTO Selection:

14:37 Limerick Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Farmix has some useful form in the book over both hurdles and fences, but Liz Doyle's eight-year-old has been off the track for the best part of three years and ALPESH AMIN may be a safer option. The selection posted a good effort when third over an extended 3m at Punchestown latest, but today's step back in distance is unlikely to unduly inconvenience him. Ardera Ru has largely held her form since returning in the autumn and also makes the shortlist, while little went right for Quest With Speed at Punchestown latest and he is another to consider.

Dual course scorer ALPESH AMIN stepped up on his reappearance when third at Punchestown last month and looks sure to go well at a track which clearly suits. November's course maiden winner Quest With Speed was hampered at a crucial stage when seventh on his subsequent handicap debut and can bounce back and provide the chief threat ahead of Cosmic Rock.

The most solid option looks to be ALPESH AMIN, who has won twice at this track and is in good form.

Cornerstone Lad

4/1(+53%)
(3) Cornerstone Lad 4/1, Smart hurdler at best and though not quite at the same level over fences, he ran respectably in the wake of a facile winner when second of 6 in handicap chase at this course (19.4f, heavy, 13/2) 39 days ago. Mark has eased further and he's in the mix.
Regressive profile but has dropped to a dangerous mark; non-runner 2.45 here yesterday.
(4) Escapeandevade (4/1 -14%)
Escapeandevade

4/1(-14%)
(4) Escapeandevade 4/1, Point winner remains lightly raced under Rules, though made the most of a good opportunity when scoring at Ayr last January. Weak finishes have become a regular feature of his efforts, including over C&D last month, and he remains with something to prove.
Didn't run badly on reappearance outing & may be able to build on it; on competitive mark.
(5) Gold Des Bois (9/1 -38%)
Gold Des Bois

9/1(-38%)
(5) Gold Des Bois 9/1, Landed back-to-back contests at Kelso last autumn and ran creditably to make the placings there on his first 2 outings there this term. Well held up in grade at Cheltenham last time and he's not fully discounted in more realistic company.
Better could have been expected at Cheltenham but ran well when second at Kelso previously.

Xcitations

10/3(-67%)
(1) Xcitations 10/3, Dual scorer last term who got back to winning ways when taking 6-runner handicap chase (9/2) at Sandown (15.4f, good to soft) 20 days ago. Found life tougher in better company at Newbury last time but mark doesn't yet strike as excessive and he's a player.
No threat when 3rd at Newbury last time but this could take a lot less winning; respected.
(2) Gunsight Ridge (15/8 +6%)
Gunsight Ridge

15/8(+6%)
(2) Gunsight Ridge 15/8, Absent since respectable fifth at Aintree last December and had won first time up at the same course (15.8f) previously. Returns on a fair mark and is stll relatively low mileage as a chaser, so can't be discounted despite absence.
Absent since last December but goes well fresh & could play leading role for in-form yard.
LTO Selection:

14:45 Wetherby Handicap Chase (Class 2) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

GUNSIGHT RIDGE was beaten into fifth over 2m4f at Aintree when last sighted and the handicapper may have been kind to drop him 2lb for that display. Olly Murphy's eight-year-old has been sidelined for over a year, but he has won first time out in the past and this trip suits better. Xcitations didn't run badly in defeat at Newbury last time and is 1lb lower now, so it would be no surprise to see him get into contention. Gold Des Bois is another to note.

GUNSIGHT RIDGE can make a winning return for the second consecutive season, his mark now only 2 lb higher than when scoring at Aintree on his last season's comeback. Xcitations should be more at home in this company than when third at Newbury last time and rates as the main danger, with Cornerstone Lad taken to complete the 1-2-3.

The Olly Murphy-trained GUNSIGHT RIDGE has an absence to defy but he goes well fresh and returns to action with his yard in fine form.

Nassalam

9/2(+36%)
(5) Nassalam 9/2, Reacted very positively to refitted blinkers when an emphatic winner of the trial over 3m here 18 days ago, beating Wayfinder by 5½ lengths but value for more like double the margin. Stamina is an unknown over 6f further but he's weighted to have a big say under a 4 lb penalty.

LTO Selection:

14:50 Chepstow Handicap Chase (Class 1) 31f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

This has very much been the plan for Super Survivor since winning on this card 12 months ago and the forecast rain should play to the strengths of the seven-year-old, who warmed up by finishing runner-up to stable companion Git Maker at Lingfield. The vote, though, goes to 2021 hero IWILLDOIT. He returned with a fine display to fill the runner-up spot in a Pertemps qualifier at Aintree and his rider's 7lb allowance gives him an excellent chance of adding another big staying chase prize to his CV. Recent course winner Nassalam, The Galloping Bear and Chambard, who took the Becher Chase at Aintree last time, complete the shortlist.

A chance is taken on NASSALAM's stamina as he won the trial here earlier in the month with plenty in hand and looks well treated under a 4lb penalty. 2021 winner Iwilldoit looked as good as ever when second over hurdles at Aintree on his reappearance and this has presumably been the plan. Autonomous Cloud and Super Survivor are young staying chasers who likely have bigger performances in them and complete the shortlist.

Becher Chase winner Chambard is second on the list to the progressive AUTONOMOUS CLOUD (nap) who shapes like a thorough stayer.

15:00 Leopardstown Handicap Chase 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Desertmore House and Panda Boy give Martin Brassil a strong hand and it would be no surprise to see both go well here, especially the latter after his close third in this race 12 months ago. That said, a chance can be taken on AMIRITE, who looks to be on a workable mark based on the pick of his form as a novice last season. He put in a promising display on his return at Cheltenham in October, where his saddle slipped, and a first-time tongue-tie may bring about further progression. The shortlist is completed by Busselton, Chemical Energy and Real Steel, who won this 12 months ago.

This looks wide open and the value angle could be WATCH HOUSE CROSS, who wasn't disgraced when sixth off this mark in the Troytown at Navan where it was probably the testing conditions rather than the step up to 3m that proved his undoing. With better ground forecast and the return to a more sharp track a plus, he is worth chancing. Idas Boy did the job well at Punchestown and merits respect, along with Adamantly Chosen, who was fourth in that same race. Chemical Energy also has claims.

Winner over this trip over hurdles the progressive JODY TED could have more to offer now upped to 3m chasing

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

TEA CLIPPER has filled second place on both of his previous starts this season and looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to go one better here. Hidden Heroics returned to winning ways at Ludlow earlier in the month and is likely to remain competitive off just a 2lb higher mark, while others to note are Tweed Skirt and Enrilo.

TEA CLIPPER has dropped to a handy mark and looks ready to end his losing run after his good second at Ascot last month. Hidden Heroics is back in the groove now and rates the main threat ahead of Tweed Skirt.

Judged on recent form, topweight TEA CLIPPER looks the pick. Dalamoi and Tweed Skirt are interesting types.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PETIT DEJEUNER ran out a decisive winner when opening her account on her handicap bow at Limerick last month. The five-year-old won with enough in hand that day to suggest that a 7lb rise in the ratings isn't insurmountable and she looks one to keep the right side of. New Barn Lane was behind the selection in second that day and he must enter calculations off only 2lb higher here, with Pidoyne and The Mass Path also requiring a second look.

There were positives to glean from A GREAT BUZZ's latest effort in a big-field Naas maiden and, with improvement on the cards now pitched into a handicap, she could be the answer. Pidoyne is probably high enough in the weights for now but she looks solid all the same and is feared most ahead of Johngus. Petit Dejeuner and New Barn Lane, first and second respectively over C&D last time, are others to consider.

If Cristiano Marealdo makes it off the subs bench but she should go close but of those guaranteed a run, THE TRUANT is preferrred

WESTERN HARMONY changed hands for 115,000 pounds in the Goffs UK Spring sales in May and goes for the Nicky Henderson yard on his debut under Rules. The four-year-old was successful in the second of two point-to-points and appears a bright prospect. The Northernlights brings the best known form to the table after his fifth at Cheltenham in October and should take a step forward. Any market support for 135,000-euro purchase Super Saint would make him of significant interest for his powerful connections.

WESTERN HARMONY has been picked up by a top yard after winning a point and he's fancied to make a successful Rules debut at the possible expense of Super Saint, who makes plenty of appeal on paper. Barrabooka, another one that has won between the flags, is also worth considering.

Paul Nicholls and Bryony Frost combined to win this in 2022 and in the nicely bred SUPER SAINT they have another attractive candidate.

SHOWBUSINESS won over hurdles in Ireland when trained by Gordon Elliott and is lightly raced for new handler Tim Vaughan. On his chase debut over C&D on similar ground last month, the six-year-old produced a cracking effort for the silver medal and is entitled to take a big step forward off just 1lb higher. Four-time hurdles winner Aggagio will likely prove popular on his fencing bow and is noted, along with Greenrock Abbey.

Having taken well to fences last season, GREENROCK ABBEY made a very encouraging return to action when finishing runner-up at Sandown earlier this month, and with that outing sure to have blown away any cobwebs, Kerry Lee's 7-y-o is fancied to notch a third victory over the larger obstacles. You Say Nothing took a heavy fall late at Ludlow last month, but he rates a big threat with that run under his belt, with chasing-debutant Aggagio rounding off the shortlist.

The answer might be SHOWBUSINESS, who was about 14l clear of the third when second over C&D on last month's chasing debut.

BLEU DE VASSY, runner-up to a subsequent bumper winner on his sole start in a point-to-point, showed promise when again second in two similar races at Navan recently, and can make it third time lucky for the Gavin Cromwell yard. The son of No Risk At All has little to fear from the trip or ground and, with Harry Swan pitching in with his 5lb claim, everything is in place for another big run. Joystick, a 95,000-euros newcomer to the Willie Mullins team, is feared most on his Rules debut, while Major Barry is another seriously considered.

BLEU DE VASSY has been shaping up well in recent weeks and is likely to take a bit of stopping unless the betting vibes are notably strong surrounding the Willie Mullins point recruit Joystick.

The betting could be significant as JOYSTICK's trainer Willie Mullins will have an idea as to where he stands with Bleu De Vassy.

GLIMPSE OF GALA was far from disgraced when sixth off this mark in a valuable handicap when last seen over hurdles at Aintree in April. A spin over fences in October should have put her spot on for this and the seven-year-old gets the vote over the recent Ascot winner Midnightreflection as well as Della Casa Lunga and Martha Brae.

GAYE LEGACY arrives on the up and is taken to quickly resume winning ways despite being 2 lb "wrong" in the weights given she still has few miles on the clock. Lassue is another mare going the right way so she rates the chief danger, although last year's winner Glimpse of Gala seems sure to have a say too along with the reliable Martha Brae.

Lassue and GAYE LEGACY are both open to improvement and the latter is just preferred.

Winning 3m pointer HENS TOOTH won a shade cosily on his second appearance between the flags at Belclare in March. The five-year-old has since joined Willie Mullins and he may have enough speed to thwart likely threat Lough Owel. The gelded son of Hillstar boasts a similar profile to the selection and he isn't taken lightly. His stablemate Muhtaluza also makes some appeal on paper and the market should prove informative.

It's probably best to narrow this down to the Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott runners. HENS TOOTH gets the nod over Lough Owel and Muthaluza but the betting is sure to provide more clues.

With the runner-up from his 'Point' win franking the form, LOUGH OWEL(nap) is given the seal of approval

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The battle of the C&D debut winners and ROCKING MAN was the most impressive when he bolted up here last month. Paul Nicholls saddles Kap Boy, who won a four-runner race here in October, and the master handler should know where he stands with the selection on a line through Jacobin, so the market may tell us more. Nevertheless, it's Sam Thomas' charge who is taken to come out on top, with point-to-point winner Queensbury Boy the one expected to follow that pair home.

A small but interesting line-up for this concluding bumper. ROCKING MAN can see off fellow C&D debut scorer Kap Boy but the rules newcomers all have something to recommend them on paper, notably Queensbury Boy, who had a recent bumper winner behind in second when winning his sole point back in March.

This could be a decent bumper despite the small field. ROCKING MAN comfortably justified favouritism from the front here last month.

FIRST COMPANY is holding his form really well at present and is well worth sticking with for now. He certainly wasn't winning out of turn at Kempton latest, after a couple of solid efforts in defeat, and if you go back to August this year, he posted a close-up third at this track too. Dandys Derriere is a C&D winner and makes plenty of each-way appeal, while Bomb Squad should run his usual honest race.

RED WALLS knuckled down well to register a first success of the year at Southwell last week and gets the nod to follow up. First Company and Bomb Squad head up the opposition.

Unpenalised Southwell winner Red Walls should go well but DANDYS DERRIERE is preferred in a minefield of a race.

17:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Those towards the summit of the weights are expected to battle it out for the victory in division two, and WARMINSTER just edges it from a good draw in stall four. He has performed well at this venue before and was beaten less than a length into second when last sighted at Newcastle. Kitbag won here recently despite racing keenly and should go well along with Autumn Angel, who hit the crossbar at Southwell latest.

WARMINSTER left a low-key stable debut well behind him when runner-up at Newcastle 3 weeks ago and he looks ready to go one place better and double his career tally. Autumn Angel found only one too good at Southwell on Friday and is an obvious threat from the same mark, with Kitbag also considered given he won last time.

Autumn Angel is ahead of the handicapper but WARMINSTER is taken to build on his recent promising second at Newcastle.

18:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This novice event may be all about COMPLETELY RANDOM. Harry and Roger Charlton's colt improved for his Kempton debut when beaten just half a length into second here last time and, with more improvement likely, it would come as no surprise if he made it third-time lucky. War Bride lines up in receipt of weight from the selection being a filly and she ran a cracker here on debut, so is noted along with Persian Blue.

Having been heavily backed, COMPLETELY RANDOM was worn down late by another improver over C&D 18 days ago, and with further progress in the offing, he will take some stopping. War Bride and Persian Blue are the obvious threats unless the vibes are positive form debutante Dame Darcey.

Dame Darcey is a newcomer of some interest but COMPLETELY RANDOM went close over C&D 18 days ago and can get off the mark.

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Runner-up on three of his last four starts, including twice over C&D, ARTISAN DANCER deserves a change in luck, and he can get that on this occasion in what looks a winnable contest. Despite a difficult wide draw, he can see off the likes of old rival Spritzin' and Theonlywayiswessex, who could be back on a workable mark. Others to note include Eloped, Palace Boy and Queensland Boy.

A winner at Windsor during the summer, QUEENSLAND BOY has continued the good work on AW in recent months, finishing a good third in a stronger contest at Chelmsford 13 days ago. He gets the nod to come out on top down in grade, with Artisan Dancer and Spritzin' next best. First Charge is another worth keeping an eye on from his sliding mark.

Queensland Boy is solid but FIRST CHARGE is on his last winning mark and more than capable if getting one of his better breaks.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BRODIE'S BOY improved from first to second start when narrowly denied at Lingfield earlier in the month and stepping up in trip should bring about further progress as he looks to get off the mark. A promising third over shorter at Dundalk last time out, Gesture is of interest on his first start on these shores, while L'Eagle Aid is another to note after beginning his career with a pair of respectable placed efforts.

HEET is a half-brother to a couple of useful winners so is taken to make a winning start in what looks an ordinary maiden. Lady of Spain is another interesting newcomer, while Green Keeper and Organic both offered something to work on first-time out.

Brodie's Boy, Gesture and L'Eagle Aid are solid but there's a chance the well-bred GREEN KEEPER can improve past them all.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for BOUJEE GOLD after a determined success over C&D last month, there should be plenty more to come from the daughter of Garswood as she looks to follow up. That may be at the main expense of fellow recent C&D winner Advantage, who has a 6lb penalty to overcome, and capable Newcastle runner-up Ice Shadow. Kodebreaker and Weloof enter the reckoning as well.

ADVANTAGE got off the mark with a bit to spare on just his second start in handicaps over C&D 9 days ago and, with the prospect of more to come from David O'Meara's 3-y-o, he could well be the way to go under a penalty. Weloof was gambled on and ran well when second here latest and he's feared, particularly if the market speaks in his favour again. Kodebreaker and Ice Shadow complete the shortlist.

The lightly raced ADVANTAGE (nap) is fancied to confirm recent C&D dominance over Kodebreaker despite the penalty.

Not at best on Flat for new yard and November's hurdle efforts modest; others are safer.
LTO Selection:

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GOLDSMITH was only narrowly denied over 1m2f at Lingfield a week ago and the four-year-old is very hard to oppose as he can race off a 1lb lower here. Phantasy Mac has filled third place on her last three starts and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Outgun and Lunarscape also merit places on the shortlist.

GOLDSMITH has been knocking at the door of late and Alice Haynes' charge is fancied to go one better than at Lingfield last week at the expense of Lunarscape, who has hit the crossbar on her last couple of starts and may have to settle for another silver medal on first start for this yard. Phantasy Mac and Outgun can fight out minor honours.

Lunarscape could improve for today's longer trip but OUTGUN can surely win races at this level and this could be his day to shine.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Rhubarb will do well to confirm form with Gustav Graves, who was a neck second to Richard Price's mare over C&D nine days ago but is better off at these weights. That said, preference is for KATAR, who hit the crossbar over 6f here earlier in the month and the drop in trip could help him to go one better off the same mark.

Plenty with chances but GUSTAV GRAVES looked unlucky not to score over C&D last time so this course winner gets the nod off a 1 lb lower mark here. C&D scorer Doctor Mozart has enjoyed a good year and seems sure to be in the mix once more with in-form pair Katar and Rhubarb both firmly in the picture too.

The tricky Gustav Graves can go well again but this is a slight ease in grade for ACONCAGUA MOUNTAIN and he can capitalise.
