There were 38 Races on Tuesday 20th May 2025 across 6 meetings. There was 6 races at Lingfield, 6 races at Nottingham, 6 races at Southwell, 7 races at Cork, 7 races at Hexham, 6 races at Huntingdon, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.
The data in the racecards below is for the past year. View the racecard key.

LONDONER justified favouritism on only his second start for the Kublers' stable and now has a 5lb penalty to carry. The five-year-old remains on a workable mark and could be the one to beat again. Gincident has finished third on each of his last three outings, most recently over C&D, and he should remain competitive. Robbo is the pick of the remainder.

A trappy race in which LONDONER is tentatively selected to defy a penalty for last week's Newcastle success. Robbo is next best.
Class & Speed Card

TOBY TOPS has improved since being fitted with blinkers this term. The son of Siyouni made it three wins from his last four starts when on target at Ascot recently and, although 7lb higher, he's likely to have more to offer. Godsend was progressive last season and remains of interest despite the absence, while Weddell Sea looks booked for third.

The opener features an interesting clash between the progressive 4yos TOBY TOPS (narrowly preferred) and Godsend.
Class & Speed Card

CAYMAN DANCER progressed from his debut to shed his maiden tag when making all at Chelmsford earlier in the month and is likely to have more improvement in him. The son of Sea The Moon seems to certainly know his job and can put his experience to good use in order to defy his 7lb penalty. Percy's Daydream was well held in third at Ripon last month, but could get closer on only his third outing. Any market confidence behind newcomer Wiz would be interesting.

The standard is set by CAYMAN DANCER and he remains open to further progress. Percy's Daydream is feared most.
Class & Speed Card

GHOST HUNTER produced arguably one of the performances of last season when overcoming being tailed off halfway through the race to come through and run out a four-length victor at Chepstow in April. Jamie Snowden's six-year-old is just 2lb higher for that incredible effort and can follow up. Jubilant ran too badly to be true when last of five at Plumpton over hurdles last time, but is an interesting contender on his chasing debut. Halondo can beat Just Three home for third.

The most obvious answer is GHOST HUNTER, who was nudged up only 2lb after winning readily from a long way off the pace at Chepstow.
Class & Speed Card

It took 48 attempts for BANANA to open her account, but she proved there was no fluke about that performance when beaten a neck next time out. Scott Dixon's charge is clearly thriving at present and in a contest lacking depth, she could double her tally. Marcus shaped with promise when returning from an absence at Southwell recently and the booking of David Egan catches the eye. Others to note include Tilsworth Ony Ta and Masterclass.

Jamie Bond and Antiphon are on the shortist but SNOW BERRY goes well here and returns from a short break on a dangerous mark.
Class & Speed Card

IN A HURRY finished second in her sole juvenile start at Newcastle last year and built on that promise when hitting the woodwork on her return at Ayr last month. The daughter of Time Test looks to have found a nice opportunity to get her career up and running. Fantasmic has made the frame on each of her two outings, with her better effort coming at Goodwood earlier in the month, and she has to be taken seriously. Life Is Rosie completes the shortlist.

Life Is Rosie and In A Hurry are solid contenders but FANTASMIC shaped nicely at Goodwood and remains capable of better.
Class & Speed Card

Duke Of Luckley struck over C&D prior to showing his versatility to score over 2m3f at Catterick when last seen in November and has to be respected on his return to the fray. However, HAREL DU MARAIS was only beaten a length into second in this class at Huntingdon earlier in the month and the assessor may have been kind to leave his mark alone. The eight-year-old is taken to record a third C&D victory, while Asian Star is another to keep an eye on.

The pick is well-handicapped 8yo EL MUCHACHO, who caught the eye when travelling well for a long way on last month's stable debut.
Class & Speed Card

All of these are open to further improvement so can't be written off, although preference is for HYMNBOOK. The Acclamation colt pulled well clear with the winner when going down a short head at Wetherby last time out and any further progress ought to suffice. King's Charter fetched 650,000 euros as a yearling and has time to do better as a three-year-old, while others to note include debutant High Degree and Displaying.

The biggest form contenders are King's Charter and HYMNBOOK. The latter has the benefit of recent match practice.
Class & Speed Card

Having made all on her stable debut at Wetherby last month, there could be more to come from PROFIT REFUSED. Ollie Sangster's filly scored a shade cosily and she could make light work of a 4lb rise from the assessor. Under The Twilight's stamina appeared stretched by the extended 1m at Nottingham three weeks ago and, reverting to class 4 company, she warrants respect. The seven-year-old may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Urban Sprawl.

Plenty of interest despite the small field. UNDER THE TWILIGHT is handicapped to win and is marginally preferred to Profit Refused.
Class & Speed Card

With hardly any form to go off, only a tentative vote goes to EREMENKO, who is closely related to Cheltenham Festival winner Doddiethegreat. The daughter of Walk In The Park goes for the Nicky Henderson team and could make an instant impression. No Tricks At All was a 125,000 euro purchase who is related to a few winners and needs to be monitored in the market on his debut, along with newcomer Atomic Sonic.

A good bumper for the time of year on paper. NO TRICKS AT ALL, a daughter of a French Group 3 Flat winner, appeals most.
Class & Speed Card

MRS TWIG won four times last year, including her seasonal debut, and is taken to continue that good progress on her return. A winner over this distance at Newmarket in September, a 4lb higher mark is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. A recent maiden winner at Bath, this extra yardage may bring about further progress from Castro Aurum, while North Star also looks the type to do better now handicapping for the first time.

Preference is for MANARA, who has steadily progressive RPRs since switched to handicaps. North Star is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

TOOLATETONEGOTIATE has been knocking on the door at this level of late and, racing off an unchanged mark, she makes grand appeal. A reproduction of her latest second at Bath could prove sufficient, with the addition of first-time cheekpieces looking a positive move. Ghostman capped off his juvenile campaign with a respectable fifth at Wolverhampton and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the market on his return. Hello Luna is also noted.

Toolatetonegotiate looks solid for a big run but VIRTUE TEMPERANCE could resume her progress with cheekpieces fitted.
Class & Speed Card

Although she proved no match for an odds-on winner at Stratford recently, LASTING LOVE offered plenty of encouragement. Today's contest looks ripe for the taking and the four-year-old could take all the catching if adopting front-running tactics once more. Hurdles debutant Taktique Gagnante was somewhat underwhelming when finishing down the field in a class 2 bumper for mares at Cheltenham last month, but she warrants respect if judged on her penultimate third at Cork. Global Hideaway appears best of the remainder.

Preference is for TAKTIQUE GAGNANTE, who was placed in a big-field Irish bumper in January and should have a future over jumps.
Class & Speed Card

DESERT SHADOW took a big step forward when finishing a creditable second at Chelmsford. That was his first start over 1m2f and the son of Siyouni should have more to offer over middle-distances. The latter comment also applies to Serenity Blue, who was doing his best work at the finish when fifth at Leicester, while the 200,000gns newcomer Native Spirit should be noted with Charlie Appleby's yard in such fine form.

Despite a couple of short-priced defeats, another chance is given to ONLY ONE BLUE. Second choice is Desert Shadow.
Class & Speed Card

Honour Your Dreams was rewarded for his credible efforts in defeat at Chelmsford and Doncaster when landing the spoils at Windsor recently. However, a 5lb penalty does demand more from Mick Appleby's gelding and it may be worth chancing LAST OUTLAW. The four-year-old shaped with distinct promise on his fourth-placed stable bow at Ascot 10 days ago and a 1lb ease in the ratings may prove fruitful. Mart is the pick of the remainder.

He has a 5lb penalty to shoulder but HONOUR YOUR DREAMS (nap) won tidily at Windsor last week and he can follow up.
Class & Speed Card

Dartmouth Rose posted her best effort to date when finishing second on her handicap bow at Fakenham a fortnight ago and another good showing is forecast. However, Tom Lacey has his string in fine fettle at present and it could be worth chancing MATCHADAM on his seasonal debut. The seven-year-old was last seen finishing third over an extended 3m at this venue and this ease in distance looks ideal. Conversely, The Last Drop is stepping up in trip and is worth a second look.

After a respectable handicap debut over 2m, THE LAST DROP looks interesting over this new trip. Matchadam is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

MAN OF LA MANCHA returned the convincing winner at Windsor on his handicap debut last week. A 6lb penalty is negated by an apprentice's allowance and Ralph Beckett's charge can go in again before the handicapper has his say. Zarathos has been threatening to open his account and was beaten only a head when third at Doncaster last month, while Windsor runner-up Herculeus represents last year's winning trainer and is also noted.

He's in a stronger-looking race for the grade this time but MAN OF LA MANCHA (nap) is still preferred. Zarathos is second pick.
Class & Speed Card

Second on debut over the course and distance a fortnight ago, ROGUE LEGEND is the standout contender. Sent off a well-backed odds-on chance, things didn't go smoothly for the Havana Grey colt. Slightly slow into stride, he showed signs of greenness thereafter, coming home well in the closing stages to fill the runner-up spot. Raphello and Believe In Glory were third and fourth behind the selection. A brother to the high-class Flotus, the Joseph O'Brien-trained former is likely to step forward from that initial effort, while the same can be said for the Ken Condon-trained latter. Third on debut at Tipperary, Baker Blue is sure to have his supporters.

Some 2yos with a promising future including ROGUE LEGEND who had a couple of these behind when 2nd over C&D and he should improve
Class & Speed Card

James Owen has been pulling up trees with his stable debutants of late, so Leading Force warrants a market check with champion jockey Sean Bowen in the plate. However, FOX'S SOCKS looks the most solid proposition after finding only a rejuvenated rival too strong at Huntingdon recently. A 1lb nudge up in the ratings may prove inconsequential for Mike Sowersby's gelding and compensation may beckon. Irish raider Moonshine Girl completes the shortlist.

Back on a good mark if judged on some of last summer's form, INDIAN SUNBIRD (nap) has conditions to suit and gets the vote.
Class & Speed Card

A competitive affair, with handicap debutant TROPICAL RETREAT the suggestion. The subject of good market support when fourth on debut at Dundalk before Christmas, she since made the breakthrough when dropped to the minimum trip at the all-weather venue. Starting on turf now, she could prove nicely treated off an initial mark of 72. Top-weight Likedbymike returns to calmer waters after finishing last over the course and distance earlier this month. Hampered with over a furlong to go in that Listed heat, she was given an easy time of it thereafter. Beauty Queen was seventh in that same contest and it'll be interesting to see how she fares in first-time cheekpieces. The 88-rated Jorge Alvares, Tipperary winner Bobbi Rosa and the Denis Hogan-trained Sarahmae are others to note.

A drop to 5f seems to have really helped SARAHMAE who is on an upward trajectory and this is easier than the Naas h'cap last time out
Class & Speed Card

Having relished a return to an extended 2m7f at Uttoxeter 17 days ago, MAX'S CHAMP makes grand appeal in his follow-up bid. The Champs Elysees gelding scored with something in hand and a 5lb higher mark could prove lenient. Although he hasn't proved the most consistent in the past, Tartan Cookie must enter calculations after scoring over C&D earlier this month. Ewan Whillans' inmate is feared most, ahead of Rumble B, who was behind in third.

Consistent RUMBLE B can reap the reward from some decent placed efforts recently by reversing C&D placings with Tartan Cookie.
Class & Speed Card

LITTLE SOIREE would likely have placed at Plumpton last time, if not for being hampered by a faller at the last. Narrowly beaten at that track back in February, Chris Gordon's inmate has eased 2lb in the weights and a bold bid is expected with normal luck in running. Window Of Time looks on a fair mark based on her third at Southwell, while Alvesta is one to note handicapping over hurdles for the first time.

Handicap newcomer ALVESTA (nap) lacks experience but her opening mark looks manageable.
Class & Speed Card

AN LAOCHMOR might be able to make the breakthrough in this open affair. In a first-time visor he put in a career-best effort to finish fourth on his penultimate start at Navan and he again filled the same position when last seen in a 27-runner contest at the Curragh. With less rivals to contend with here, the Jimmy Coogan-trained four-year-old looks sure to give a good account of himself. While consistent, My Girl Sioux has just one win to her name from 48 starts. Beaten into second at Navan on Saturday, it'll come as no surprise if she manages to go a place better. Starting off for rookie trainer Maurice Ahern, it'll be interesting to see how seven-time winner Art Of Unity fares.

The unexposed AN LAOCHMOR may be the way to go having outrun his odds in a couple of big field turf handicaps since fitted with a visor
Class & Speed Card

Having overcome a mishap at the second fence over track and trip recently, WILLIE SHAKE HANDS should have more to come in this discipline. That was the six-year-old's first outing over the larger obstacles and any improvement may see him doubling his tally. Chase debutant She Won't Mind wasn't disgraced on her latest fourth in a maiden hurdle here and she shouldn't be underestimated reverting to handicap company, while better is expected from Restandbethankful dropping in trip.

6yo WILLIE SHAKE HANDS made a positive start over fences when scoring over C&D recently and can confirm placings with Dream Jet.
Class & Speed Card

NOISY JAZZ is taken to make a winning debut over hurdles. A winner over a mile on the Flat, she's a half-sister to the Ascot Gold Cup hero Big Orange, and James Owen's charge could be bang there at the finish if taking to this discipline. The selection's stablemate High Court Judge ran well for a long way when fourth at Worcester and is noted, while Arcon has gone close over 2m on the Flat and could feature on his hurdling bow.

Noisy Jazz needs respect, especially if settling in the hood, but a chance is taken on ARCON who stayed well on the Flat.
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up on her racecourse debut at the Curragh last month, NO ALIBI can go one place better. Trainer Paddy Twomey can often leave a bit to work on with his newcomers, so the daughter of Blame should be all the better for that initial experience. Even without the anticipated improvement, a reproduction of that effort should be good enough in this race. A first-time tongue-tie is applied here, something that should also aid her cause. Having shown up well over 7f at Gowran Park on her recent stable debut, Stella Alpina is interesting dropped back in trip. Wegotogether is another to consider.

Paddy Twomey's NO ALIBI showed winning potential on debut at the Curragh and she can get off the mark here
Class & Speed Card

Am Still Here offered plenty of encouragement when finishing a close-up second on his chase bow over C&D earlier this month and a 2lb rise is unlikely to prevent another bold showing. However, it might be worth taking a punt on handicap/chase debutant CLASSICAL STING. The son of Scorpion should enjoy this step up in distance and Lewis Dobb's 7lb claim could prove crucial. Time Was is also noted.

Everything points towards this being the ideal opportunity for the recent C&D runner-up AM STILL HERE to make his breakthrough.
Class & Speed Card

SHADOWS IN THE SKY bounced back to form on his first start for James Owen's yard just three days ago. He returned an emphatic winner at Uttoxeter and can strike again while the iron is hot , despite a 7lb penalty. Cloudy Wednesday arrives in fine form and enters calculations, having won this contest in 2023, while Jeudidee will likely be sharper for last month's third at Warwick.

It may be worth taking a chance with JEUDIDEE who made a promising return at Warwick last month (form boosted).
Class & Speed Card

A three-time winner on the all-weather this year, HIGHTIMEYOUWON is of definite interest back on turf. Although equally as effective on the grass, the Stephen Thorne-trained nine-year-old had been out of form before joining the stable in October. As a result, the gelding can race off a 12lb lower mark here than on the Polytrack. With Jack Kearney riding at the top of his game at the minute, the son of Garswood makes plenty of appeal. Eddie G, who suffered a nightmare passage when third at Roscommon earlier this month, has to be a serious threat. Leopardstown winner Dark Viper could also go well.

Having endured a luckless passage on his return, subsequently gelded EDDIE G (nap) may be able to gain compensation from the same mark
Class & Speed Card

KICKSAFTERSIX accounted for C'Est Quelqu'un (third) when securing a double over track and trip earlier in the month and is just 5lb higher. The nine-year-old is in the form of his life and looks the one to beat. Robert d'Ores made it two wins from his last three starts over the smaller obstacles at this venue last time and is looking to prove as effective in this sphere. Of the remainder, Halfway House Lad makes the most appeal.

This can go to KICKSAFTERSIX who had several of these rivals behind him when gaining his second C&D win of the year here last time.
Class & Speed Card

Chasing didn't work out for DEAR RALPHY but he went agonisingly close at Fontwell when returned to hurdles earlier this month. He's only 2lb higher and, in receipt of weight all round, he looks the one to beat. Ludlow scorer Kitesurfer merits respect off a 4lb higher mark, along with the consistent Briefly, for whom a second career triumph doesn't look far away.

Kitesurfer isn't passed over lightly but the suggestion is LIHYAN on his second run back from wind surgery and down in class.
Class & Speed Card

ROYAL ENTRY can record a first victory on what is just her second start for trainer Paddy Twomey. Somewhat surprisingly sent off favourite at Killarney last time, she ran well to finish runner-up to a filly rated 18lb higher. The fact that she was so strong in the market against an above-average rival clearly suggests that the daughter of Fracas is showing plenty at home. Compensation awaits here. Runner-up on her latest two starts, the Joseph O'Brien-trained Tswalu looks the main danger. Outpaced at Gowran Park last time before staying on late, stepping up in trip here looks a wise move. Recent Leopardstown fourth Metamorphic is noted too.

Tswalu should go close if staying the trip but ROYAL ENTRY, who has solid placed form in the book at this distance, is preferred
Class & Speed Card

PIKE ROAD won in a canter to get off the mark over an extended 2m7f here earlier in the month and sets the standard with a rating of 110. With a similar performance, he will prove very tough to beat. Point-to-point winner Theatre Light filled the runner-up spot at Carlisle on her first start under Rules but disappointed at Perth next time. Although, she could easily bounce back to have a say. Moveonbuy is next best.

This weak novice should be there for the taking for the recent 3m course winner PIKE ROAD. Miss Bumblebee is next best.
Class & Speed Card

DOC MCCOY made it two wins from four over timber when on target at Fakenham last month and the son of Getaway, a former C&D winner, is taken to go in again off just 2lb higher. Land Girl's Luck has few miles on the clock and is likely to benefit from going back up in trip, while Ikigai Star heads the remainder.

It may be worth chancing LAND GIRL'S LUCK, who doesn't look an easy ride, but the ability is there.
Class & Speed Card

The Richard O'Brien-trained METAMORPHEUS can register a first win on the Flat. Successful over hurdles for former connections, the six-year-old has long given the impression that he could be well handicapped back on the level. However, having failed to deliver on such expectations to date, the Morpheus gelding drops back in trip here. Racing keenly, before weakening to finish fourth in a stronger race at Limerick last month, he is certainly worth another chance over this distance. Gardone has to be respected for the Eric McNamara stable. Second at Gowran Park on her penultimate start, Suityourselfboss arrives here in better form than most.

It could be a good opportunity for TARTARAGHAN who likely needed Friday's return and this is her trip
Class & Speed Card

The vote goes to WELL EDUCATED, who landed the corresponding event from 2lb lower 12 months ago. George Bewley's charge has been running with credit over shorter trips recently so returning to this C&D is likely to aid his chance. Hardy Du Seuil and Benson haven't tasted success in a while now, but they ought to be more than competitive at this level.

In an interesting race WELL EDUCATED (nap) is taken to repeat his 2024 win, with Hardy Du Seuil and Benson his two main dangers.
Class & Speed Card

Official ratings would suggest that Coolagh Park is the one to beat but, although respected, preference is for KILFILUM WOODS. The nine-year-old arrives following a brace of wins between the flags and, having gone well under Rules here previously, he looks more than capable. Dr Lockdown has plenty to find on figures and appears booked for third spot barring accidents.

Kilfilum Woods will make a bold bid for his hat-trick but marginal preference is for COOLAGH PARK.
Class & Speed Card

Addosh sprang a surprise when winning at odds of 22/1 at Sedgefield recently and although respected under a 7lb penalty, preference is for fellow penalised runner GRAND SCHEME. Sam England's gelding bolted up at Southwell last time out and with the potential of more to come over timber, he could go in again. The consistent Socks Off should be in the mix.

Preference is for GRAND SCHEME who came home 15l clear on only his fifth start over hurdles eight days ago.
Ths is the racecard key.
