Trainer Dan Skelton won this in 2023 and he looks to have every chance to add to that with top-weight BROOMFIELD ADERRA. The daughter of Walk In The Park showed plenty of improvement on her second start over hurdles when running on well at Lingfield to score by over five lengths, and another step forward may be all she needs. Uttoxeter winner Analiese might try to make all and appears her biggest danger, ahead of Sweet Magic.

Last year's runner-up SWEET MAGIC is taken to go one better. Broomfield Aderra is second choice.

Heltenham has to enter calculations on his second start after wind surgery, but he will need to improve after a 10-length second off this mark at Newbury last month. JOSH THE BOSS ticks plenty of boxes as a course winner over hurdles who arrives at the top of his game after an easy success at Doncaster and, although he has an added 7lb, he may well follow up. Minella Drama wasn't beaten far in the Old Roan here in October and is also noted.

With further progress plausible, JOSH THE BOSS could well win again. Heltenham is second choice.

With five of the eight declared a winner last time out this looks competitive, though the unbeaten MYDADDYPADDY is the obvious pick. His bumper win at Huntingdon was followed by an impressive success over hurdles at Carlisle and a seven-length victory at Haydock, and a win here will see his odds shorten further for Cheltenham. Idaho Sun's only defeat was a sixth in the Champion Bumper, while Starmount arrives unexposed after an impressive Wetherby win.

The unbeaten MYDADDYPADDY has impressed on all three starts and can take this rise in grade in his stride.

Bear Market has continued his upward trajectory since racing under the tutelage of Mel Rowley in November and a 4lb rise for his latest victory over C&D shouldn't prevent another bold bid. However, INDEEVAR BLEU arrives on the back of a good second in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury and that form could prove to be slightly stronger. The consistent Florida Dreams and Dedicated Hero are others to consider.

The step up in trip could prove ideal for the lightly raced 7yo INDEEVAR BLEU, who kept on strongly over 2m at Newbury last time.

Having supplemented an encouraging fifth-placed chase bow at Cheltenham with a win at Exeter last month, there could be more to come from BLENKINSOP. A 5lb higher mark looks workable for Henry Daly's charge and a double could be on the cards. Jonjo & A J O'Neill have their string in good order and last year's winner Fortunate Man isn't taken lightly on his return, with the downgraded Duke Of Deception the pick of the remainder.

Having made a good impression when winning at Exeter last month on his second chase start, BLENKINSOP (nap) is taken to follow up.

THROATLASH won impressively on his second start over fences at Wetherby last month and a 7lb rise for that success may not be enough to stop him from following up. That said, Chuggy is an obvious threat after he easily secured a hat-trick at Warwick a couple of weeks ago, while Juby Ball is another recent winner with strong form claims.

Topweight JUBY BALL brings potential to his handicap debut and gets the narrow vote over Chuggy, who bids for a chase four-timer.

No Walkover and Grazeon Sunshine both arrive here on the back of bumper victories and they have to be respected as a result. That said, a chance can be taken with MOMENTS IN TIME, who makes his debut for Dan Skelton having bolted up in an Irish point-to-point earlier in the year. That form suggests that the four-year-old could be well above average and he merits plenty of respect.

The vote goes to NO WALKOVER to defy his penalty even though he surely needs to perform better than when he scraped home at Chepstow.
