1st (2) (10/3 +26%)Analiese |
10/3(+26%) | (2) Analiese 10/3, Improved, good attitude in landing a handicap by 2l off a 7lb lower mark at Uttoxeter last time; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on S, GS; new mark asks more but looks progressive. Made all at Uttoxeter last time, beating Hard Dealt; may well remain competitive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (4/1 +27%)Hard Dealt |
4/1(+27%) | (3) Hard Dealt 4/1, Ran to form when beaten 2l off a 5lb lower mark at Uttoxeter last time. Effective around 2m4f and acts on good to soft and good ground. Capable of a bold showing off this mark. Her two attempts over 2m4f were a win in May and good second to Analiese last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (9/4 -88%)Broomfield Aderra |
9/4(-88%) | (1) Broomfield Aderra 9/4, Improved on hurdles debut when winning a maiden at Lingfield by 5 1/2l last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on good to soft ground. Likely to progress further now entering handicap company. Scored in clearcut style at Lingfield last time (second run for new yard); respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (22/1 -38%)Jammy Jay |
22/1(-38%) | (7) Jammy Jay 22/1, Ran to form when finishing 6l third in a handicap hurdle at Hereford on her latest run. Effective at 2m on good ground and appears on a competitive mark. Maiden; latest effort suggests this return to 2m4f is worth exploring; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (8/1 -7%)The Secret Pearl |
8/1(-7%) | (4) The Secret Pearl 8/1, Conceded first run at a sharp track but ran to form when beaten 1 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Huntingdon last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground. Reliable and consistent performer. Has remained in form since April win; quite exposed but should give her running. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (12/1 +0%)Disco Annie |
12/1(+0%) | (5) Disco Annie 12/1, Outpaced and never threatened when 8 1/2l third in a handicap chase at Ludlow on her latest outing. Usually held up in her races. Effective at 2m and acts on soft and good ground. Needs to prove herself back over hurdles. Opposed on the balance of her form this season; yet to win away from Carlisle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (9/2 +40%)Sweet Magic |
9/2(+40%) | (6) Sweet Magic 9/2, Needed run when fourth beaten 15l in a handicap hurdle at Warwick latest; cheekpieces first time; effective 2m4f, acts on S, GS; maiden in fair form. Maiden; went very close off just 1lb lower in this race last year; possibilities back here. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Trainer Dan Skelton won this in 2023 and he looks to have every chance to add to that with top-weight BROOMFIELD ADERRA. The daughter of Walk In The Park showed plenty of improvement on her second start over hurdles when running on well at Lingfield to score by over five lengths, and another step forward may be all she needs. Uttoxeter winner Analiese might try to make all and appears her biggest danger, ahead of Sweet Magic.

Last year's runner-up SWEET MAGIC is taken to go one better. Broomfield Aderra is second choice.

1st (4) (7/2 +0%)Prairie Wolf |
7/2(+0%) | (4) Prairie Wolf 7/2, Built on his recent return to form when just outstayed late, finishing 7l third in a handicap chase at Newbury last time. Trainer in good form, effective over 2m4f, and acts on soft and good ground after a wind operation. Respectable third in both starts this term; only 1lb above last winning mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (9/4 +0%)Josh The Boss |
9/4(+0%) | (3) Josh The Boss 9/4, Jumped well and won readily, improving up in trip under a positive ride when landing a handicap by 11l off a 7lb lower mark at Doncaster last time. Likes to race prominently, effective over 2m4f, and acts on good to soft and good ground. Record of 211 since switched to chasing; open to further progress; warrants respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (11/4 +69%)Inedit Star |
11/4(+69%) | (5) Inedit Star 11/4, A bit below form when 10l third in a handicap chase here on his latest outing. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and handles any ground; capable of bouncing back. Consistent sort but is 0-9 over fences and likely set for another supporting role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (7/2 -27%)Heltenham |
7/2(-27%) | (2) Heltenham 7/2, Travelled well and ran to form but did not find as much as looked likely when second, beaten 10l, in a handicap chase at Newbury latest. Effective around 2m4f and acts on good to soft and good ground; looks a live contender. Came from difficult position for second-place finish last time; remains on a winning mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (8/1 -100%)Minella Drama |
8/1(-100%) | (1) Minella Drama 8/1, Back on his last winning mark and returned to form when beaten 3 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark here last time. Off a short break, effective over 2m4f on decent ground, and usually saves his best for Aintree; should go well. Sole effort this season took his record in the Old Roan over C&D to 213; solid claims. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Heltenham has to enter calculations on his second start after wind surgery, but he will need to improve after a 10-length second off this mark at Newbury last month. JOSH THE BOSS ticks plenty of boxes as a course winner over hurdles who arrives at the top of his game after an easy success at Doncaster and, although he has an added 7lb, he may well follow up. Minella Drama wasn't beaten far in the Old Roan here in October and is also noted.

With further progress plausible, JOSH THE BOSS could well win again. Heltenham is second choice.

1st (3) (3/1 +33%)Idaho Sun |
3/1(+33%) | (3) Idaho Sun 3/1, Converted an easy opening when winning a novice hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee by 11l last time. Effective from 2m to 2m2f, acts on heavy and good to soft ground; respected as he steps up in grade. Impressive on both hurdle starts; up in grade but he could play a leading role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (8/13 -15%)Mydaddypaddy |
8/13(-15%) | (4) Mydaddypaddy 8/13, Travelled strongly and won easily, outclassing his rivals when taking the Introductory Hurdle at Haydock by 7l last time. Effective at 2m, acts on soft and good to soft ground; the Supreme favourite looks ready for his first Grade 1 test. Unbeaten 4yo who is ante-post favourite for the Supreme Novices' and has star potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (18/1 +64%)The Last Cloud |
18/1(+64%) | (7) The Last Cloud 18/1, Outpaced but improved again when fourth, beaten 2l, in the Oddschecker Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Cheltenham last time. Effective over 2m on sound ground; returns from a short break and needs to find more to win this. Close fourth in Grade 2 at Cheltenham last time but limitations may be exposed once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (14/1 -75%)Starmount |
14/1(-75%) | (5) Starmount 14/1, Created a fine impression when winning a novice hurdle at Wetherby by 5l last time; effective at 2m, acts on S; worthy of his place in his better race but does need more. 5l win on hurdle debut at Wetherby and it remains to be seen where his limitations lie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (25/1 +24%)Glance At Midnight |
25/1(+24%) | (2) Glance At Midnight 25/1, Rallied gamely and improved from his debut when second, beaten 12l in a novice hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Effective at 2m, acts on good to soft and good ground; progressive and could run well here. Bumped into very classy prospect at Cheltenham but he may again be vulnerable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (17/2 +74%)Storming George |
17/2(+74%) | (6) Storming George 17/2, Outclassed his rivals when dropping in grade to win a novice hurdle at Doncaster by 12l last time. The trainer is in good form; effective at 2m and acts on good to soft ground; could go well back up in grade. Won by 12l at Doncaster on second hurdle start but others have stronger form claims. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

With five of the eight declared a winner last time out this looks competitive, though the unbeaten MYDADDYPADDY is the obvious pick. His bumper win at Huntingdon was followed by an impressive success over hurdles at Carlisle and a seven-length victory at Haydock, and a win here will see his odds shorten further for Cheltenham. Idaho Sun's only defeat was a sixth in the Champion Bumper, while Starmount arrives unexposed after an impressive Wetherby win.

The unbeaten MYDADDYPADDY has impressed on all three starts and can take this rise in grade in his stride.

9/2(-125%) | (3) Indeevar Bleu 9/2, Improved again back from break when beaten 3l off a 3lb lower mark at Newbury last time; effective 2m, acts with cut; progressive, more to come. Stayed on for second over 2m at Newbury; this longer trip could prompt further improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (16/1 -191%)Serious Operator |
16/1(-191%) | (4) Serious Operator 16/1, Improved on recent efforts down in grade when landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off a 4lb lower mark at Newcastle last time. Effective over 2m4f and suited by a sound surface. Arrives in good form. Won at Newcastle four weeks ago and remains feasibly treated back up 4lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (5/1 +29%)Florida Dreams |
5/1(+29%) | (6) Florida Dreams 5/1, Outpaced but ran to form when 15l third in a handicap hurdle at Haydock last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and acts on soft and good ground. A consistent performer. Beaten on last nine starts but in good heart this season and he might not be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (3/1 +14%)Bear Market |
3/1(+14%) | (8) Bear Market 3/1, Improved again up in grade on second start after wind op landing a Handicap Hurdle by a length off a 4lb lower mark here last time; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on S, G; progressive for new yard. Made it 3-3 at Aintree with C&D win 3 weeks ago; unexposed and could continue to progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (12/1 0%)Brewin'upastorm |
12/1(0%) | (1) Brewin'upastorm 12/1, Travelled well but didn't find much and likely needed the run when comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time. Effective over 2m4f and acts on any ground. Formerly a smart Graded winner but must prove how much ability remains. 12yo who returned from long absence with promising fifth over C&D three weeks ago; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (11/1 +8%)Supremely West |
11/1(+8%) | (2) Supremely West 11/1, A big drifter and not knocked about when fourth, beaten 32l in a handicap hurdle at Sandown last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m and handles any ground but needs to show more than of late. Ran well when third on stable debut in October but two lesser performances have followed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (6/1 +45%)Rubber Ball |
6/1(+45%) | (7) Rubber Ball 6/1, Back to form down in grade, possibly outstayed late up in trip when fourth beaten 11l in a handicap hurdle here latest; trainer in form; effective 2m-2m4f, acts on S, GS; stiff mark. Ran well for a long way over C&D recently but didn't see out the trip and finished fourth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (10/3 +67%)Dedicated Hero |
10/3(+67%) | (5) Dedicated Hero 10/3, Poorly placed to challenge when well beaten in the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham last time. Effective between 2m and 3m. His Grade 2 win looks weak enough but the mark remains competitive. Seventh of 18 in the Greatwood last time and the step back up in trip may be a positive. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Bear Market has continued his upward trajectory since racing under the tutelage of Mel Rowley in November and a 4lb rise for his latest victory over C&D shouldn't prevent another bold bid. However, INDEEVAR BLEU arrives on the back of a good second in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury and that form could prove to be slightly stronger. The consistent Florida Dreams and Dedicated Hero are others to consider.

The step up in trip could prove ideal for the lightly raced 7yo INDEEVAR BLEU, who kept on strongly over 2m at Newbury last time.

1st (3) (15/8 +63%)Fortunate Man |
15/8(+63%) | (3) Fortunate Man 15/8, Won this race last year; below form in blinkers and unsuited by the track when fourth, beaten 27l, in a Uttoxeter handicap chase last time. Returning from a long layoff; effective from 3m to 3m5f and acts on soft and good to soft ground; may need the run after an absence. Won this 12 months ago; lacks a recent run but returns with his stable among the winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (7/2 +36%)Kelce |
7/2(+36%) | (6) Kelce 7/2, Taken on up front and made too much use of when well beaten in a Cheltenham handicap chase on ground more testing than ideal last time. Previously in good form; effective at 3m on good ground and generally consistent. Reappeared with close fourth at Cheltenham; heavy ground may not have suited there since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (12/1 -71%)Duke Of Deception |
12/1(-71%) | (1) Duke Of Deception 12/1, Scored by 1/2l off a 7lb lower mark at Kelso on his penultimate start; made mistakes and looked high enough in the weights when sixth last time. Effective at 3m and handles any ground, but the handicapper may have caught up with him. Soundly beaten last time but back down in grade here; has run well in this race previously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (16/1 -33%)Snowy Evening |
16/1(-33%) | (7) Snowy Evening 16/1, Too keen and needed the run back from a break when pulled up in a Doncaster handicap chase last time. Effective from 2m4f to 3m and acts on soft and good ground; fairly treated on old form and could build on that comeback. Pulled up four weeks ago following long absence but he's one to watch in the betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (12/1 +25%)Sunset Hill |
12/1(+25%) | (8) Sunset Hill 12/1, Had every chance and ran to form when comfortably held in a Newcastle handicap chase last time. Effective from 2m to 2m4f and handles soft and good ground; consistent but looks to have reached her level. 3rd at Hexham last month but soundly beaten at Newcastle since and needs to prove stamina. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (3/1 -33%)Blenkinsop |
3/1(-33%) | (2) Blenkinsop 3/1, Improved to get off the mark over fences in landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off a 5lb lower mark at Exeter last time; effective 2m4f-3m, acts on S, G; plenty more to come from this one over fences. Won at Exeter last month on second chase start and could have more to offer over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (7/1 +0%)Snipe |
7/1(+0%) | (5) Snipe 7/1, Travelled, not find much, may not have stayed when well beaten in a handicap chase at Ascot latest; effective 3m-3m2f, acts on S, G; in fair form until latest. Won this in 2023; ran well at Ascot last month and failed to stay 3m5f there subsequently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (33/1 -175%)Dubai Days |
33/1(-175%) | (4) Dubai Days 33/1, Ran to form back from a break after a wind operation when fourth, beaten 10l, in a Carlisle handicap chase last time. This is his second run since that surgery; usually held up, effective at 2m4f, and acts on soft and good ground; a consistent type. 11yo who runs off last winning mark but he tends to come good later in the season. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having supplemented an encouraging fifth-placed chase bow at Cheltenham with a win at Exeter last month, there could be more to come from BLENKINSOP. A 5lb higher mark looks workable for Henry Daly's charge and a double could be on the cards. Jonjo & A J O'Neill have their string in good order and last year's winner Fortunate Man isn't taken lightly on his return, with the downgraded Duke Of Deception the pick of the remainder.

Having made a good impression when winning at Exeter last month on his second chase start, BLENKINSOP (nap) is taken to follow up.

5/2(+50%) | (4) Throatlash 5/2, Improved after a wind operation when landing a handicap by 3 1/4l off a 7lb lower mark at Wetherby last time. This is his second run after that procedure; effective from 2m to 2m2f and acts with cut; could progress further. Won at Wetherby on seasonal debut, taking overall record to 2-5; may improve further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (4/7 +48%)Chuggy |
4/7(+48%) | (2) Chuggy 4/7, Improved again and impressed with his jumping when landing a handicap by 12l off an 11lb lower mark at Warwick last time. Effective from 2m to 2m5f and handles soft and good ground; remains progressive over fences for his top yard. Record of 3-3 since switched to chasing; shooting up the weights but his roll may continue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/2 +73%)Roysse |
11/2(+73%) | (3) Roysse 11/2, Disappointing and never recovered from an early blunder when finishing down the field in a handicap chase at Warwick last time. Effective at 2m and suited by some cut in the ground, but has plenty to prove at present. Has failed to show his form in two starts since switched to fences; opposed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

THROATLASH won impressively on his second start over fences at Wetherby last month and a 7lb rise for that success may not be enough to stop him from following up. That said, Chuggy is an obvious threat after he easily secured a hat-trick at Warwick a couple of weeks ago, while Juby Ball is another recent winner with strong form claims.

Topweight JUBY BALL brings potential to his handicap debut and gets the narrow vote over Chuggy, who bids for a chase four-timer.

2/1(+20%) | (2) No Walkover 2/1, Promising debut, good attitude when winning a bumper at Chepstow by a nose last time; effective at 2m, acts on S; promising sort, good chance under a penalty . Pipped by a good one in Irish point; narrowly justified 5-6 favouritism in Chepstow bumper. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (12/1 -140%)Grazeon Sunshine |
12/1(-140%) | (1) Grazeon Sunshine 12/1, Confirmed debut form when winning a bumper at Sedgefield by 2 1/4l last time; effective at 2m to 2m1f and acts on soft and good ground; needs more under a penalty. Close second at Newcastle and went one better in clearcut fashion at Sedgefield. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (7/2 +36%)Wonder Flying |
7/2(+36%) | (8) Wonder Flying 7/2, Ran to form but well held up in grade well beaten in Three Counties Christmas Open NH Flat Race (Listed) at Cheltenham latest; effective at 2m on S, G; considered dropped in grade. 5th of 11 and 8th of 13 but both were at Cheltenham; the form gives him a big shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (6/4 +14%)Moments In Time |
6/4(+14%) | (6) Moments In Time 6/4, Yard won this last year; promising debut when 24l winner in a maiden point at Borris House on debut; effective at 3m in points, acts on yielding; joined a top yard ahead of rules debut. Irish point win in March; joined top stable and market strength would be highly noteworthy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (12/1 -33%)Capital House |
12/1(-33%) | (4) Capital House 12/1, Yeats gelding related to two winners, notably Defan, a useful performer around 2m over hurdles and fences; likely to need the experience on debut. A well-related newcomer to note from major yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (25/1 -108%)Double Indemnity |
25/1(-108%) | (5) Double Indemnity 25/1, Improved to get off the mark when winning a maiden at Damma House by 10l last time; effective at 3m and acts on yielding ground; one to consider on rules debut after a short break. Won Irish point by 10l shortly before his sale for £30,000 in November; needs a check. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (66/1 -32%)Bargain Hunter |
66/1(-32%) | (3) Bargain Hunter 66/1, Showed the run of the race but made a modest enough debut when beaten 5l in a bumper at Market Rasen last time; effective at 2m and handles good to soft; improvement required. Two Irish points and bumper at Market Rasen suggest he is best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (66/1 +0%)Racscopic |
66/1(+0%) | (7) Racscopic 66/1, Telescope gelding out of a once-raced dam related to two sprint winners; yard rarely scores with bumper debutants; faces a demanding task on debut. First race of any description and probably up against it. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

No Walkover and Grazeon Sunshine both arrive here on the back of bumper victories and they have to be respected as a result. That said, a chance can be taken with MOMENTS IN TIME, who makes his debut for Dan Skelton having bolted up in an Irish point-to-point earlier in the year. That form suggests that the four-year-old could be well above average and he merits plenty of respect.

The vote goes to NO WALKOVER to defy his penalty even though he surely needs to perform better than when he scraped home at Chepstow.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
