|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (10/3 +17%)Brave Mission |
10/3(+17%) | (4) Brave Mission 10/3, Progressed in three runs last year and was a convincing winner on his last start at two (AW); has had a break, but he is expected to be bang there at the finish Well bred; scored nicely in final 2yo start; highly likely to improve further this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (17/2 -21%)Shout |
17/2(-21%) | (3) Shout 17/2, 2/4 last year with wins in a novice and a handicap; returned to the track at Newbury in April and ran a good second; cheekpieces first time; in the mix Ran well at Newbury on reappearance; possibilities, provided he takes well to headgear. |

5/1(+9%) | (6) Philanthropist 5/1, 2/4 in career; ran a career best when winning last time in April, despite perhaps wanting a clearer run; capable of better Recorded AW wins the last twice; this Fanshawe runner is the type to progress further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (14/1 -75%)Master Technician |
14/1(-75%) | (9) Master Technician 14/1, Second to an improving sort in April; that entitles him to run well; consistent over 7f before that (three wins); one to consider Rallied over 6f last time; record over 7f reads 31131; steadily improving; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (8/1 +20%)Humam |
8/1(+20%) | (5) Humam 8/1, Consistent so far; has won over 6/7f (AW); beat Rebel's Gamble, a subsequent Listed winner; should be fit Fairly useful on AW this year; latest effort suggests this step back up to 7f will suit. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (80/1 -100%)Kameel |
80/1(-100%) | (10) Kameel 80/1, May not have stayed last time over a mile on handicap debut; two wins over 7f in three race career, although form out of those isn't the strongest; back to 7f today should at least help Remains open to progress but appears to have a stiff assignment on turf debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

COLUMNIST, who was third in the Coventry at last year's Royal meeting, is an obvious starting point given he was subsequently pitched into Newmarket's Group 2 Superlative Stakes before heading to Deauville for a crack at the Prix de Cabourg. Those high-class events proved to be just beyond him, but the son of Ardad has now been gelded and could have the quality to make a successful handicap debut. Fellow class-dropper Star Anthem is feared most, while Brave Mission and Power Fizz are shaping up nicely.

Interesting handicap debutant BRAVE MISSION is first choice ahead of Philanthropist and Power Fizz in a warm opener.

The betting surrounding the newcomers should be informative, with several boasting striking enough pedigrees to suggest they could make an impact. Supreme Diamond, Society Kiss and Sayidah Hard Spun are just three notable options to keep a close eye on, but RUBY'S ANGEL was an encouraging second when well supported for her Newmarket debut. With that experience to draw upon, the daughter of up-and-coming first-season sire Starman is selected in what should be an informative event.

As a January foal, RUBY'S ANGEL is the oldest of these and it was a big run when made favourite for a good race at Newmarket.

20/1(-208%) | (1) Berezka 20/1, Nathaniel filly; half-sister to the classy Acanella (won on debut over 1m and a 1m G3); may need this Nathaniel half-sister to two winners; one of several interesting debutantes in the field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (66/1 +18%)Nuptown Girl |
66/1(+18%) | (8) Nuptown Girl 66/1, Has looked only modest so far; probably needed the race when returning in April; dam won over 1m and is a half-sister to 7f winner Lawful Command; needs more Modest chance on her AW efforts. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (7/1 +13%)Little Dorrit |
7/1(+13%) | (7) Little Dorrit 7/1, Half-sister to Noble Style (won first three, all over 6f, including G2 Gimcrack); dam was a Listed winner (6f); by Camelot so there is stamina in her pedigree Camelot filly; wears hood on debut; market helpful. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Those with experience are respected but this can go to one of the newcomers, with the John and Thady Gosden-trained GOOD OLD DAYS suggested as the first to consider. The Godolphin-owned daughter of Teofilo is a full-sister to multiple Grade/Group 1 winner Nations Pride and that highly attractive pedigree earns her the vote. El Budoor represents the same stable and would have to be of interest if the market vibes are positive. However, Spirited Style also carries the the royal blue colours and Charlie Appleby's daughter of Sea The Stars could be a bigger danger.

The form standard is far from daunting. SPIRITED STYLE, El Budoor, Good Old Days and Berezka are interesting debutantes.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (9/2 +25%)Kodi Lion |
9/2(+25%) | (7) Kodi Lion 9/2, Consistent sort who won here (7f) in July; ran right up to form over 6f at Doncaster when last seen; up 2lbs; on the list Two promising runs for new yard this year; unexposed as a sprinter; course winner; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (18/1 -80%)Over The Blues |

4th (4) (7/2 +13%)Dorney Lake |
7/2(+13%) | (4) Dorney Lake 7/2, Has won on both starts since moving to Michael Bell, making use of a career-low mark before following up off 87; up another 4lbs, but if continuing in good spirits, he is one to note 2-2 for new yard and picked up well to beat Kodi Lion at Doncaster; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (13/2 +13%)Photosynthesis |
13/2(+13%) | (8) Photosynthesis 13/2, Ran to form back on turf last time (after 406 days off); fourth has won since; pretty consistent last year and isn't out of this Promising stable debut last month after a long absence; more needed to take this. |

6th (6) (16/1 -100%)Warm Spell |
16/1(-100%) | (6) Warm Spell 16/1, Still relatively unexposed and put in a good effort last time over 7f; possibly not as good over 6f, but lightly raced; chance Promising stable debut (7f) in March and could have more to offer back sprinting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (11/4 +17%)Akkadian Thunder |
11/4(+17%) | (5) Akkadian Thunder 11/4, Form from last year would put him right in this; didn't get a clear run on return this year; ought to do better this time; good chance Suffered a torrid passage at Leicester on his return; 6f on fast ground remains a query. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (6/1 +25%)Rohaan |
6/1(+25%) | (9) Rohaan 6/1, Mark has been falling steadily this year and he went very close off 84 last time; back up 1lb today, but this likeable horse is very hard to ignore This C&D brings out the best in him; not as good as he was but handicapped accordingly. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Dorney Lake accounted for Kodi Lion by half a length to supplement a Yarmouth success at Doncaster and can confirm that form to go close in his bid for the hat-trick. However, PHOTOSYNTHESIS made a pleasing start for the Peter Chapple-Hyam stable when finishing a close third at Newbury last month. The four-year-old competes off an unchanged rating and could be the way to go. Rohaan is a five-time C&D scorer and another to note.

Dorney Lake got the better of KODI LION at Doncaster but the tables can be turned today.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

9/2(+0%) | (7) Tuco Salamanca 9/2, Racked up an AW hattrick earlier this year (7/8.5f); has remained in form in two runs since; repeatedly short of room and very much caught the eye last time; easy to make a case for and is top of the list Suffered a desperate run at Newcastle on Good Friday; unexposed at 6f; fast ground a query. |

25/1(+0%) | (16) Azuinthejungle 25/1, Quite consistent and has started this season of well with two seconds; was slowly away last time and can do a little better than that; 1lb out of the weights Runner-up in both starts this year; this is much tougher though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (6) (14/1 -75%)Kiniro |
14/1(-75%) | (6) Kiniro 14/1, Won a maiden at Lingfield in January; a little keen, but kept on last time for third behind Vocal Lagend; trip looks fine; lightly raced and not ruled out Beaten in both handicaps while leaving impression there's more in the tank; interesting. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (14) (66/1 -164%)Iconic Times |
66/1(-164%) | (14) Iconic Times 66/1, Progressed in three runs last season, culminating in a win where he benefited from a positive ride to win a Kempton novice by 2 1/4l last time; unproven on fast ground; bit to find Improved when making all at Kempton (6f) in November but that was a poor race. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Vocal Legend got up in the final strides to make a winning handicap debut at Lingfield and should remain competitive off just 3lb higher. Hucklesbrook struck at Kempton in October and is noted on his return, but COROLLA POINT gets the nod. Charlie Appleby's gelding beat a now 93-rated rival on his debut at Yarmouth in the autumn before a respectable fourth under a penalty on his Doncaster comeback. With the likelihood of more to come, he can defy his opening mark of 82.

Tuco Salamanca is sure to be popular but Corolla Point, Vocal Legend and KINIRO are of some interest in opposition.

10th (10) (80/1 -21%)Simply Blue |
80/1(-21%) | (10) Simply Blue 80/1, A bit regressive last year and didn't show much on return in April, albeit that was probably needed; hooded first time; likely better to come, but not the most convincing Has enough to prove upped further in distance; hood applied. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Ollie Sangster's yard is firing on all cylinders and NIMINY PIMINY is taken to remain unbeaten. A dual novice winner on the all-weather, the daughter of Siyouni had little trouble defying a penalty at Southwell and she should have more to offer now handicapping. Newmarket runner-up The Trickster enters calculations dropped in class and returning to this shorter trip, while there looks more to come from I Am Me on the back of a convincing win at Musselburgh on his handicap/stable bow.

Solid-looking THE TRICKSTER (nap) is taken to defy top weight. I Am Me, another unexposed North Yorkshire raider, is second choice.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (16/5 +20%)Poncho |
16/5(+20%) | (4) Poncho 16/5, Raced a little freely when third last time (Rogue Tornado second); has potential and has been consistent in last three starts; not out of this Ties in with Rogue Tornado on latest effort; place claims back on turf. |

Orchestra cannot be ruled out with any confidence raised only 3lb for winning at Kempton. However, ROGUE TORNADO went agonisingly close in a tougher contest at Lingfield last month and James Owen's inmate makes more appeal. Headed in the shadows of the post on that occasion, the son of Cracksman finished clear of Poncho (third) and can confirm superiority. The latter has place claims once again, while Golden Flame is worth a second look.

A chance is taken on GOLDEN FLAME, who hasn't won since 2021 but returns to turf off an attractive mark. Toby Tops is second pick.
Ths is the racecard key.
