Karl Burke, James Doyle and Wathnan Racing teamed up to land this race 12 months ago with Leovanni and they could repeat the dose courtesy of ZELAINA. The daughter of Mehmas was an impressive winner on her debut at Nottingham, the same race in which Leovanni made a successful racecourse bow, and this 650,000-pound Breeze-Up purchase could be yet another exciting youngster for a stable that have been leading the way with their juveniles this term. Michael Bell was glowing in his review of Spicy Marg, who made a winning debut at Newmarket, and she is well worth considering, along with the likes of C&D winner Society Kiss and Marygate victor Secret Hideaway.

Aidan O'Brien has yet to win a Queen Mary but TRUE LOVE could put that right. It was a big run over 6f last time and she's back at 5f.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Having enjoyed success on eight previous occasions, Aidan O'Brien's record in this race is impeccable and the Ballydoyle trainer again has live contenders in the shape of Shackleton and Scandinavia, who are potential improvers over this distance. John & Thady Gosden's yard also has a strong association with this event and their representative, Devil's Advocate, is another must for any shortlist given his dam was a Group 3 winner over 1m6f. However, CARMERS had this race nominated immediately after his facile success in the Yeats Stakes over 1m5f at Navan and, with the ground likely to be ideal, this unbeaten son of Wootton Bassett looks the most attractive proposition. French raider Asmarani can also go well if he handles the forecast going.

French challenger ASMARANI has acquitted himself with credit at Group level and brings unmistakable pointers to a strength in stamina.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Last year's Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Fallen Angel may have needed her sixth-placed reappearance in the Lockinge last month and she must enter calculations dropping into Group 2 company. Karl Burke's filly isn't taken lightly, but CINDERELLA'S DREAM is the more solid proposition. The daughter of Shamardal was most taking in the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket 45 days ago and she may have enough class to concede 3lb to today's rivals. One Look lost little in defeat against multiple Group 1 winner Porta Fortuna at the Curragh in May and another good account is forecast, while the addition of cheekpieces may help Running Lion.

Godolphin's CINDERELLA'S DREAM made it 7-10 with her easy win in a Group 2 last month and is a major player again under a penalty.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

A high-class renewal is likely to be headed by Los Angeles, who recorded his third Group 1 success when defeating ANMAAT (second) in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh last month. Typically, Aidan O'Brien is no stranger to success in this race but, although respected, Owen Burrows' talented seven-year-old can turn the tables. The son of Awtaad was seemingly going best of all two furlongs from home that day and if stepping forward from that seasonal return, he could add further success to an already stellar CV. Middleton winner See The Fire was supplemented for 70,000 pounds and is interesting receiving the fillies' allowance, while Prix Ganay runner-up Map Of Stars and the progressive Ombudsman add further spice to the race.

Los Angeles won't go down without a fight but there are candidates to outspeed him, most notably ANMAAT and Map Of Stars.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

My Cloud is two from two since competing in handicaps, most recently beating a subsequent winner by a head at Newbury, and it's easy to see why he will have his supporters. The Liffey wasn't disgraced when fourth in a Listed contest at Naas last month and that effort is likely to have put him spot on for this under Ryan Moore, but a chance can be taken on HI ROYAL. Kevin Ryan's five-year-old has plenty of class as the runner-up of the 2023 edition of the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and he bounced back to form when second at Thirsk last month. This race could be perfectly run to suit and he looks the way to go.

My Cloud has very strong claims, while TONY MONTANA (nap) and Greek Order are interesting runners for Michael Bell.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Having finished a fine second in a Listed event over 7f at Musselburgh 11 days ago, Arolla must enter the reckoning on her handicap bow. Harry Charlton's filly looks fairly treated racing off an official rating of 100 and reverting to 1m shouldn't prevent another bold showing. However, RAINBOWS EDGE got the better of reopposing rival Arisaig over C&D last month and edges the verdict. A 5lb rise in the ratings could prove on the lenient side for the daughter of Night Of Thunder and a fourth victory in five outings may beckon. Irish raider Kayhana is also noted.

Royal runner RAINBOWS EDGE impressed when seeing off Arisaig on her C&D return and she gets the vote. Sky Safari is second pick.

125/1(+38%) | (3) Beach Partee 125/1, Beaten 7 1/2l in a novice over 6f at York on debut; that decent form; back in trip; all to do and likely outclassed up in grade Displayed some ability when sixth at 28-1 on debut at York but he would be a shock winner. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

A wide-open contest to end proceedings on another enthralling day of racing, and only a tentative vote can go to HAVANA HURRICANE. A striking winner on his debut at Goodwood before going on to finish an excellent second in the Woodcote at Epsom, despite not appearing to be in love with the track, he brings a useful level of form to the table and might offer some value against the likes of Rogue Legend and Beverley Two Year Old Trophy winner Old Is Gold, who runs in the colours of Wathnan Racing for the first time. US raider Tough Critic should not be overlooked, while similar comments apply to the David O'Meara-trained Rogue Supremacy.

US challenger TOUGH CRITIC deserves considerable credit for winning at Keeneland and George Weaver knows what it takes to win here.
Ths is the racecard key.
