LTO Selection:

18:00 Ayr Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

After making her first start for new connections at Redcar, WOOBAY is entitled to come on plenty for that highly-promising placed effort, which was her first run in 584 days. Better ground may also suit being the daughter of Starspangledbanner and she is taken to get off the mark today. Loch Carron showed signs of ability on debut just over a year ago and has switched yards since. She must enter calculations along with Maggie's Tern, who is a major contender on the pick of her juvenile form.

MAGGIE'S TERN's comeback run in a heavy-ground handicap at Nottingham can be easily forgiven and she sets a clear standard on the pick of her 2-y-o form. Loch Carron showed ability on her sole run for Michael Bell 12 months ago and should have more to offer, while Bloomin Robbery offered something to work on at Redcar.

On her debut for Charlie Johnston, LOCH CARRON is taken to improve upon her only run as a juvenile and beat Maggie's Tern.

Five-time course winner; good second over C&D after a break last time; up a pound; chance.
LTO Selection:

18:30 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In an interesting handicap it could be folly to ignore the chances of recent second Tafsir, C&D winner Royal Countess or her stable companion Flying Moon, with all three entitled to have a say in the finish. However, top-weight BERRY EDGE could be deemed unlucky when third here last month after being denied a clear run and if he gets the run of the race on this occasion, he may make amends.

FLYING MOON is taken to turn around recent C&D form with stablemate Royal Countess and land a fourth C&D success of his career. Berry Edge is also closely matched with that pair on C&D form last time and is another unlikely to be too far away.

In a tricky race FLYING MOON, who won three on the trot over C&D last year, is taken to beat the in-form maiden Tafsir.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Ayr Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ABDUCTION has done well since joining his current yard and looks worth chancing after a near-miss from the same mark at Musselburgh last month. The gelding is versatile regarding the trip and, with the forecast going unlikely to pose any problems, a bold showing can be expected. Woven has to be respected after his comfortable success at Doncaster 17 days ago, but Fast And Loose (third) is not without hope of reversing that form on the revised terms.

FAST AND LOOSE looks the type to make a better 4-y-o and shaped as if better for the run after 7 months off when third behind Woven at Doncaster. He's taken to reverse the placings on 6 lb better terms. Soldier's Minute caught the eye at York last week and is another to consider.

Fast And Loose is likely to go well but ABDUCTION has scope as a sprinter for this yard and is preferred.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ONE LAST HUG had a number of these in behind him when winning here 15 days ago and Jim Goldie's charge appeals as the one to beat once more, despite a subsequent 4lb rise in the handicap. Sosallycanwait has been running well in defeat recently and she's respected in search of a first career success, while Bonito Cavalo is another with the capacity to go well under optimum conditions.

SOSALLYCANWAIT is taken to finally break her duck having stepped up on her come back run when fifth in a big field at Naas. One Last Hug looked better than ever when scoring here 2 weeks ago so is the obvious threat.

Most of these have plenty to prove but ONE LAST HUG landed a gamble here last time and may well be able to strike again back in trip.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Ayr Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This can go the way of TOUCHWOOD, who ran a fine race on his second start for new connections at Musselburgh and, with improvement possible, he may be able to gain a first success since October 2021. A comfortable winner over C&D last time out, Judgment Call should be able to uphold form with fellow course specialist Classy Al (third), while Manigordo is another with the form to get involved.

CLASSY AL shaped better than the bare result when third behind Judgment Call over C&D on his return and is taken to come out on top this time on 4 lb better terms. The latter named is a big threat however, with Espressoo not taken lightly either on seasonal bow.

It didn't work out for DARKNESS in the Victoria Cup but he has good claims on his fourth in a higher grade at Newmarket previously.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Only narrowly denied in a 0-75 contest at Musselburgh eight days ago, MERRICOURT is able to compete from an unchanged mark and a similar performance could see him go one better now dropped in class. Fellow class dropper Novak merits respect, while Turbo Command, who has been in good form on the all-weather recently, remains of interest back on the grass. Monhammer is only 1lb higher than when successful over C&D in September and he should not be underestimated either.

Iain Jardine looks to hold a strong hand, with NOVAK narrowly perferred to last Monday's Musselburgh runner-up Merricourt. Best of the rest might be Turbo Command, who has won twice on AW this year.

The suggestion is MONHAMMER, who goes well here and should improve markedly on his below-par reappearance run.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Baez could be of interest and is worth a market check ahead of her first start for new connections. She should figure if they can bring her back to her best, and she could prove the biggest danger to PARAMARIBO. The selection was a good second over further here eight days ago, despite being denied a clear run, and he can go one better now off the same mark. Lawmans Blis also arrives after a good run last time out and he could also get into the mix.

PARAMARIBO found the line coming just too soon at Musselburgh last week and is selected to go one better off the same mark now. The class-dropping Two Auld Pals is second choice ahead of Lawmans Blis.

Preference is for LAWMANS BLIS (nap), who ran well on AW three weeks ago and is attractively weighted on some of last year's turf form.
