14:00 Ayr (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Amy Waugh utilised a 3lb claim when she guided Ayr Poet to a narrow victory at the main expense of Pol Roger and Penelope's Sister over C&D 12 days ago. The margins are tight, but the revised terms suggest Pol Roger is the pick of that trio. Nevertheless, EPIDAVROS could be the way to go. A close-up second here last month, the Katie Scott-trained filly is competitively weighted and appeals strongly with the ground conditions in her favour.

With apprentice Lauren Young back on board and taking off a useful 5lb, DWINDLING FUNDS may quickly regain the winning thread.

14:30 Ayr (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JEDDAAL finished fourth behind a Dewhurst/Irish 2,000 Guineas entry at Doncaster 19 days ago, form which sets the standard here. Well supported in that race, the Ed Walker-trained colt seems highly regarded and he makes plenty of appeal back in maiden company. Daizen and Valor Spirit appear capable of winning races and command respect. However, Preston Road was a promising third at Southwell on her debut and she could be a bigger danger switched to turf now she has experience.

Jeddaal (second choice) holds leading claims on his form at about 7f but STARMADE is a plausible alternative.

15:00 Ayr (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CISCO DISCO is on a roll and, in comparison to his peak form when trained in Ireland, still looks potentially well treated despite an 8lb hike for a facile success over a mile here 11 days ago. A C&D winner last month, reverting to 1m2f shouldn't be an issue for the seven-year-old if he remains in such a buoyant mood. Obito and Detective also come into this in good form and have to be respected.

The choice is confirmed mudlark CISCO DISCO (nap) who has gained wide-margin wins in two of his last three races. Obito is feared.

15:30 Ayr (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Redarna bounced back with an emphatic victory over a longer trip here last time. The veteran remains of interest off his current mark despite a 10b hike, but QUEST FOR FUN is marginally preferred in this grade. Back on soft ground for his latest start, Tim Easterby's charge finished well clear of the rest when runner-up over C&D and is taken to edge a tight contest. Tactical Plan and Liamarty Dreams are not out of it either.

After proving highly resurgent last time, REDARNA could well record a fourth win in this race. Tactical Plan is second pick.

DUMFRIES was noted making up lots of late ground to finish a close fourth on soft at Thirsk latest. Dropped in class for this, Ruth Carr's charge could well return to winning ways, possibly at the chief expense of Lima Sierra. The latter was winning for the third time this year when successful at Catterick recently and another bold effort looks likely, while 2023 winner Alpine Sierra is worth a second look.

Off a handy mark, JKR COBBLER may be able to record a fourth C&D success. Lima Sierra is second choice.

16:30 Ayr (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Montezuma is the choice of Paul Mulrennan out of Jim Goldie's five contenders in this, so that might be a tip in itself. However, COUNT D'ORSAY finished a close third in this grade at Chester 10 days ago and goes off an unchanged mark. With a similar performance, the nine-year-old ought to go close. Educating Rita is another to watch out for.

Plenty to consider with the vote going to RAN AMOK, who is taken to reverse Chester form with Count d'Orsay over this longer trip.

17:05 Ayr (Class 6) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Just Dottie returned to winning ways over 1m5f here earlier in the month, but a 7lb rise makes life tougher. With that in mind, YOUNG MERLIN gets the vote. Rebecca Menzies' nine-year-old finished third over 2m1f at Pontefract on his most recent start and was kindly dropped 2lb. He lurks on an appealing rating and looks the one to side with. C&D winner Aighear completes the shortlist.

Last year's winner EBONY MAW is selected to follow up by beating course winner Just Dottie and Irish raider Churchwarden.
