|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 -33%)Sugar Club |
4/1(-33%) | (4) Sugar Club 4/1, Down the field in a handicap over 8f at Cork most recent; brings in strong spring handicap form; cheekpieces first time; sound surface suits; stamina to prove but big chance if it holds up Regressive this season and appears vulnerable even though suited by the race conditions. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

25/1(-178%) | (6) Esque Elegance 25/1, Below par down the field in a handicap over 7f at Limerick most recent; generally out of form; up in trip; best efforts on AW; easy to look elsewhere Saddle slipped at Gowran early in the month, no excuse at Limerick 12 days ago.. |

25/1(-79%) | (3) Sassy Sox 25/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap at Fairyhouse most recent; cheekpieces first time; not proven trip; form going the wrong way Fair run in mid-field in a 7f claimer at Gowran on stable debut, not as good on latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (28/1 -12%)Master Of Puppets |
28/1(-12%) | (2) Master Of Puppets 28/1, Slowly away well beaten in a maiden over 8f at Killarney only start; up in trip; plenty more needed to get involved Slowly away and ran green when in rear on debut in a 1m maiden at Killarney. |

LADY PLIMSOLL comes here off a solid run in maiden company and may be the safest option in a race where good recent form is in short supply. She finished fourth to Angelo Pio at Down Royal in late May and dropping back slightly in trip may suit. She has to give a bit of weight to Sugar Club, who is rated only a pound inferior. That rival has been well beaten in her last two outings though. Her trained Noel Meade also saddles Your Call, who would have a shout in this grade.

If reproducing the solid handicap form of her Leopardstown fourth LADY PLIMSOLL has good prospects of a breakthrough success.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (22/1 -175%)Wonderfulwonderful |
22/1(-175%) | (9) Wonderfulwonderful 22/1, 4l third in an auction race over 7f at Down Royal most recent run where went too fast; returning from long layoff; up in trip; each way claims Placed in two of her three runs at two, will need to surpass official rating of 72 to win. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (18/1 +18%)Sigliosa |
18/1(+18%) | (3) Sigliosa 18/1, Slowly away well beaten in a maiden over 9f at Gowran Park only start having missed the break; plenty more needed Probably capable of building on a satisfactory introduction at Gowran, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (8/1 +43%)Ballyshannon Lilly |
8/1(+43%) | (6) Ballyshannon Lilly 8/1, Well beaten in an auction race at Cork only start though showed minor promise at big price; proven over the trip; minor chance Needs to step up from her debut sixth at Cork though only 2 1/4l behind Made U Blush then. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (125/1 -89%)Silence Is Wisdom |
125/1(-89%) | (4) Silence Is Wisdom 125/1, Well beaten in an auction race over 12f at Fairyhouse only start where went off huge price; back in trip; difficult to fancy Big price when down the field over 1m4f at Fairyhouse ten days ago, safe to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (28/1 -40%)Some Good Men Gone |
28/1(-40%) | (5) Some Good Men Gone 28/1, Beaten 9 1/4l in a maiden over 8f at Dundalk on debut where did show up well for a long way; up in trip; lot to find back from break Betrayed inexperience on debut on AW in January, gelded since and given time to mature. |

This looks like a nice opportunity for NOBLER to gain a deserved success. The German-bred gelding has been placed on five of his six outings and plugged on when second to Admiral Churchill on his most recent run at Listowel. Stepping up in trip again should help him, as may the application of blinkers. On official ratings, Made U Blush is the danger with her fillies allowance. She ran well on her return at Leopardstown but didn't really back that up at Cork last time. Wonderfulwonderful is another to note.

This looks like a suitable opportunity for the 80-rated NOBLER who has been fairly consistent and seems worthy of his rating.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (8/11 +39%)Molto Amichi |
8/11(+39%) | (2) Molto Amichi 8/11, Slowly away fourth beaten 3 1/4l in a handicap over 9f at Leopardstown latest; step up in trip a plus; generally consistent; potential threat Respectable handicap effort when fourth of 18 at Leopardstown last time, strong contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (11/8 +8%)Janes Harbour |
11/8(+8%) | (7) Janes Harbour 11/8, Well backed when winning a maiden hurdle here over 2m by 10l last time; top course jockey/trainer combination; drop down in trip not ideal; shaped with promise sole flat start; leading claims Has run only once on Flat, useful young hurdler, deserved last month's course maiden win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (66/1 +0%)Adial Kedo |
66/1(+0%) | (4) Adial Kedo 66/1, Elzaam filly; half-sister to Characteristic, useful at 7f; dam very useful at 7f at 2yo; stable not known for first time out winners; best watched Dam a 7f AW juvenile winner, makes debut for a recent recruit to the training ranks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (18/1 +28%)Duchess Anne |
18/1(+28%) | (6) Duchess Anne 18/1, Decorated Knight filly; dam moderate at 7f; looks stable second string best watched First foal, dam runner-up 7f/1m, out of a maiden half-sister to a pair of 1m winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (125/1 -150%)Arrumba |
125/1(-150%) | (5) Arrumba 125/1, Slowly away well beaten in an auction race at Navan only start; this much easier; place claims if breaking on terms with improvement likely Slowly away and never in contention on belated debut in a 1m2f Navan maiden. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|DQ| (3) (125/1 -89%)Whosethebestboy |
125/1(-89%) | (3) Whosethebestboy 125/1, Probably needed race down the field in a maiden over 1m5f at Tipperary most recent; poor in a bumper prior; back in trip; all to do Well beaten in a bumper, tailed off in a 1m4f Flat maiden at Tipperary last month. |

JANES HARBOUR is marginally preferred over Molto Amichi. The Joseph O'Brien-trained selection belatedly got off the mark over flights at this venue, and back on the level now she looks capable of following up. Beaten by just a nose over the course and distance last month, Molto Amichi was last seen finishing a never-nearer fourth in an 18-runner handicap at Leopardstown. Returning to maiden company, he is sure to have plenty of supporters with Colin Keane aboard. Like the selection, Autumn Twist has a win over hurdles to his name and looks capable of making an impact.

Course maiden hurdle winner Janes Harbour has to be taken seriously but MOLTO AMICHI can put her Flat race handicap to good use.

5/1(-43%) | (2) Bill Silvers 5/1, Back to form beaten 1 1/2l off 78 over 9f at Leopardstown last time; up in trip; very well treated on 2024 form; longer trip no issue; player Ran well off his reduced mark at Leopardstown last time, up 5lb but may remain competitive. |

13th (6) (12/1 +0%)Tribal Moon |
12/1(+0%) | (6) Tribal Moon 12/1, Ran to form beaten 3l off 72 over 9f at Leopardstown last time; up in trip; consistent; sound surface suits; holds little secrets from the handicapper Solid AW performer, prominent showing at Leopardstown last time boosts his chance. |

A competitive affair, with dual C&D winner EXPOUND the suggestion. The Denis Hogan-trained six-year-old has an excellent record at this venue and will be aided by the 7lb claim of Dylan O'Connor. The joint highest rated runner in the line-up, Donna Nook is an obvious danger. Down to 83 from an initial mark of 88, she was a solid fourth of eight in a stronger contest on her latest start at Gowran. A never-nearer fifth on her debut for Michael Mulvany on Thursday, it'll be interesting to see how Ina Mina fares.

Dylan O'Connor's valuable 7lb claim could make all the difference for the in-form EXPOUND, a C&D winner for the rider three starts ago

CURROY LADY caught the eye when third on her handicap debut over the course and distance last month, where she wasn't helped by an incident in the latter stages. Wesley Joyce was aboard the Mark McNiff-trained bay on that occasion and he later reported that the buckle on his rein opened when he changed hands turning into the home straight. Colin Keane now takes over in the saddle and it'll be disappointing if she's not involved at the business end. On the mark at Down Royal on Friday, Andy McNamara looks to have solid claims with Fairyhouse third Highway Sixty One, while handicap debutant Glenroyal is another to bear in mind.

Finishing third last time over C&D despite encountering issues, CURROY LADY (nap) looks very dangerous off an unchanged mark.

DESERT FRIEND won this race 12 months ago and, despite advancing years, has strong claims of repeating the trick following a number of solid efforts this term. The selection beat all bar Molly Hall here last month and again ran a cracker at Navan last time. Preparations won over 1m4f at Bellewstown last year and successfully switched to hurdles on her reappearance at Limerick this spring. She finished well when runner-up at Gowran earlier this month, with Out On Friday seven lengths behind in fourth. Positive Energy rates a danger if staying this distance, while Spanish John has been raised 10lb for winning at Tipperary last month.

POSITIVE ENERGY looks like he could be suited by this new trip after hitting the line hard when winning over 1m2f in October.

HEATHER won a Dundalk maiden over an extended 1m2f in February and the sister to Irish Derby winner Latrobe should be suited by this step up in trip following a creditable effort at Naas last month. The Camelot filly filled the runner-up spot behind Galveston, who boosted the form with a fine third in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot. Elana Osario opened her account when beating Navy Waters (won since) here and may be suited by stepping back up in distance, while riding arrangements suggest Roscommon maiden winner Sissi is preferred of Joseph O'Brien's pair. Lot of Joy and Beauparc are others to consider.

Beating a colt now rated 93 in an AW maiden, HEATHER looks like the step up in distance will help her bag another win on handicap debut
Ths is the racecard key.
