8th (11) (50/1 +24%)Lady Monroe |
50/1(+24%) | (11) Lady Monroe 50/1, No worthwhile form; blinkers first time; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; far too keen; basement mark not enough to recommend Has shown little in three starts and needs a lot more in added blinkers on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (80/1 -21%)Havana's Dream |
80/1(-21%) | (10) Havana's Dream 80/1, No worthwhile form; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; impossible to fancy Has shown little in her five starts and is readily opposed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Fancy Dancer has proven to be a different proposition since competing in handicaps, scoring at Wolverhampton before finishing second at the same venue. However, she will need to show she can be just as effective on turf, which may open the door for SUN KEEPER. Alice Haynes' filly produced a better effort when fifth at Doncaster and could take advantage of an unchanged rating. Cider Bob completes the shortlist.

Hidden Verse is respected here but FANCY DANCER (nap) has improved since handicapping and looks the one to beat if handling turf.

11/4(+17%) | (4) A'ali G 11/4, Won a seller at Goodwood over 5f by a length last time; this tougher; trainer in form; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; may contend Showed improved form to win a seller on soft ground at Goodwood; quicker ground today. |

3rd (1) (9/4 +25%)Bring It On |
9/4(+25%) | (1) Bring It On 9/4, 5 1/2l third in a novice at Windsor most recent run; that strong form; fast ground suits; could be tough to peg back down in trip Third over 6f at Windsor having been gelded since his runner-up effort on debut; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (6/1 -50%)Campenaerts |
6/1(-50%) | (2) Campenaerts 6/1, Well backed fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a maiden over 5f at Hamilton latest; back up in trip; unproven on fast ground; danger Showed ability in both starts; weakened late over 5f at Hamilton a week ago; can go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (18/1 -157%)Chilliconcarneigh |
18/1(-157%) | (3) Chilliconcarneigh 18/1, Beaten 9l in a novice at Salisbury last time; handles fast ground; from top yard so likely has more to offer but lot to find Ran to a similar level in two starts at Salisbury; may do better in handicaps after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (12/1 -33%)Dublin Bay |
12/1(-33%) | (5) Dublin Bay 12/1, Had benefited for debut experience beaten 9l in a novice at Salisbury last time; highly tried in short career; hood first time; plenty more needed dropping in grade Well beaten in two starts and better is needed with the hood now added; one for handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (80/1 -142%)Dandy Orton |
80/1(-142%) | (6) Dandy Orton 80/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a maiden over 5f at Brighton last time where blew the start; up in trip; difficult to fancy and looks clear stable second string Struggled in two starts at Brighton; beaten 15l when last of five latest; others preferred. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A'ali G showed a nice amount of improvement after being gelded to shed his maiden tag at Goodwood earlier in the month and is likely to be on the premises. However, BRING IT ON attempted to make every yard of the running before fading into third at Windsor last time and may have lots more to offer. The son of Dandy Man looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark. Campenaerts is another to note.

Bring It On has shown plenty in two starts but CAMPENAERTS is taken to get off the mark following a respectable run at Hamilton.

2nd (4) (9/2 +10%)Savannah Smiles |
9/2(+10%) | (4) Savannah Smiles 9/2, Ran to form beaten 2l off 58 at Chepstow last time; acts on fast ground; consistent; mark looks a little stiff but each way claims 5-40; has been running consistently well since returning to turf this year; can go well. |

12/1(-300%) | (5) Big Time Rascal 12/1, Back to form with a clear run landing a handicap by a neck off 54 at Brighton last time; effective 5f, possibly better 6f; acts on G, F and AW; can make presence felt once more Got off the mark when winning over 6f at Brighton 26 days ago; up 2lb and holds claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (33/1 -32%)Arlecchino's Gift |
33/1(-32%) | (2) Arlecchino's Gift 33/1, Left 10l and made no effort well beaten in a handicap over 5f at Brighton latest; up in trip; has missed break last twice; must bounce back All nine wins have been over 6f; lost all chance leaving the stalls at Brighton last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (15/2 +53%)Symbol Of Hope |
15/2(+53%) | (3) Symbol Of Hope 15/2, Poor again down the field in a handicap at Windsor most recent; form going the wrong way; reduced mark not enough to recommend Well beaten in last two starts but he goes well here and has dropped down to a handy mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (11/8 +8%)Thank The Lord |
11/8(+8%) | (1) Thank The Lord 11/8, Back to form beaten 1 1/2l off 62 over 5f here last time; up in trip; effective 5/6f; acts on G, F and AW; a little in and out of late; longer trip a plus; should go well Course winner; second here on yard debut following 457 days off; may well come on for that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Big Time Rascal sprung a 25/1 surprise when getting up by a neck at Brighton and holds an obvious chance off just 2lb higher. Savannah Smiles has been performing with credit at Chepstow and is noted, but the vote goes to THANK THE LORD. The six-year-old fared better than Sisters In The Sky (fourth) when filling the runner-up spot at this venue on his latest outing and can confirm that form to go one better.

Thank The Lord ran well on yard debut but a chance is taken on SYMBOL OF HOPE now he returns to this venue from a workable mark.

2/1(+50%) | (2) Fact Or Fable 2/1, Below form for no obvious reason comfortably held in a handicap at Chepstow last time; has run poorly three of last four starts; likes the track; plenty to prove Dual C&D winner; penultimate second in a Brighton classified makes him a threat today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (Evens -10%)Offiah's Boy |
Evens(-10%) | (1) Offiah's Boy Evens, Essentially all out and back to form dropped into classified company won a classified race at Lingfield over 10f by a length last time; down in trip; fast ground suits; the one to beat 5lb penalty for last week's win; huge player despite the drop in trip and quick return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (3/1 +0%)Rebel Cove |
3/1(+0%) | (4) Rebel Cove 3/1, Ran about to form up in trip 6 1/2l third in a handicap over 10f here most recent run; down in trip; 10f probably suits may find this on the sharp side Running okay in course handicaps of late; should make her presence felt in this company. |

4th (3) (12/1 -9%)Liege |
12/1(-9%) | (3) Liege 12/1, Probably not stay beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; generally out of form; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; off a short-break; plenty more needed Downhill for nearly a year including in classifieds and with various headgear; risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (50/1 -52%)Rohilla |
50/1(-52%) | (5) Rohilla 50/1, Poor again well beaten in a handicap at Chepstow latest; unproven on fast ground; no worthwhile form; opposed Very moderate maiden who can start slowly; impossible to recommend.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (12/1 -9%)A Day In Bloom |
12/1(-9%) | (6) A Day In Bloom 12/1, Last again down the field in a maiden over 6f at Wolverhampton most recent; that improved form; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; off a short-break; big ask on handicap/turf debut Hasn't beaten a rival yet but this is much his easiest task; watch the market. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Twice a winner over C&D, Fact Or Fable merits respect at this level, especially at the weights, but preference is for OFFIAH'S BOY. Joe Tickle's gelding made all to land a similar contest over 1m2f at Lingfield and if able to cope with the drop in trip, he could be difficult to beat. Rebel Cove hit the frame here latest and a reproduction of that performance would bring her into the reckoning.

An uncompetitive classified event can go to the fairly unexposed filly REBEL COVE.

3/1(+14%) | (3) Knights Gold 3/1, Bit in hand scored by a length off 70 over 7f at Leicester three starts back; never had racing room and would probably have run close to form sixth beaten 6 1/4l off 75 last time; unproven on fast ground; should bounce back if coping with conditions Didn't get the breaks last time but previously in good form; can probably bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (15/8 +32%)Love Is The Law |
15/8(+32%) | (4) Love Is The Law 15/8, Ran to form beaten 3l off 74 at Lingfield last time; probably stays 1m, acts on sound surface and AW; good mark on 2yo form; should run well Raced away from a favoured rail last time and did well to get third; major contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (18/1 +28%)Gloryous |
18/1(+28%) | (6) Gloryous 18/1, Probably just needed the run on AW and seasonal debut beaten 5 1/4l in a novice over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; usually consistent; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; off a short-break; looks on stiff enough mark Best run came on quick turf and she can likely better her stable debut on AW 50 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (11/4 -83%)Union Island |
11/4(-83%) | (2) Union Island 11/4, Defied 3lb rise to land hat-trick eased 1/2l late landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 63 here last time; trainer in form; goes well here; in excellent form though recent wins have had knocks; fair claims in bid for 4 timer Won his last three, including twice over C&D this month; up 6lb but leading claims again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (4/1 +43%)My Ambition |
4/1(+43%) | (5) My Ambition 4/1, Disappointing possibly made too much use of beaten 8l in a handicap at Newbury last time; inconsistent; goes well here; not out of it if bringing best but risky Closely matched on course form with Thapa VC and he's of interest back here; respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A winner at Beverley before notching up a brace of C&D successes earlier this month, UNION ISLAND is likely to be a warm order in his bid for a four-timer. He had plenty in hand latest and a 6lb rise is fair. Love Is The Law kept on well for third over an extended 7f at Lingfield so she is interesting upped to the mile. Jim Crowley is reunited with Thapa VC, with the pair combining for a triumph over track and trip last month, which must make Mark Rimell's seven-year-old of interest.

None of these can be ruled out but it's tempting to plump for a 3yo and LOVE IS THE LAW ran well against a track bias last time.

5/2(+44%) | (3) Galactic Glow 5/2, Slowly away beaten 1/4l off 47 at Chepstow last time; goes well here; consistent since returning from hurdling; acts on fast ground; threat Recent knocks at the door are getting louder; beaten just a neck last time; big shout. |

2nd (5) (5/4 +64%)Launceston |
5/4(+64%) | (5) Launceston 5/4, Down the field in a novice over 7f at Redcar most recent; trainer in form; step up in trip a plus; unproven on fast ground; likely improver on handicap debut; go close Took five runs to get qualified; will probably take off now handicapping over further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (5/1 -50%)Blue Hero |
5/1(-50%) | (2) Blue Hero 5/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 2l off 52 here last time; multiple course winner; enjoys fast ground; could figure All eight wins have come here, two at this trip and three on firm; key player once again. |

4th (1) (12/1 -71%)Villalobos |
12/1(-71%) | (1) Villalobos 12/1, Beaten 8l in a handicap over 8f here last time; in good form prior; up in trip; acts on fast ground; may contend Dropped 2lb after latest run and was in good form here previously; can't be ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (10/1 +9%)Ladypacksapunch |
10/1(+9%) | (4) Ladypacksapunch 10/1, Well beaten in a handicap over 12f at Chepstow latest; inconsistent; down in trip; acts on fast ground; strike rate a worry 1-40 but the win did come here (11.5f, firm); latest can be forgiven and her mark is fine. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (25/1 -127%)Split Silk |
25/1(-127%) | (6) Split Silk 25/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap at Leicester most recent where far too keen; generally out of form; blinkers first time; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; up against it with stamina concerns Regressive form in handicaps this year and now blinkers are given a whirl; risky. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GALACTIC GLOW has been coming to the boil of late, most recently when a narrow third at Chepstow, and he is the clear form pick. The son of No Nay Never can compete from an unchanged mark and is preferred to Blue Hero, who encountered traffic problems when fourth over C&D. Handicap debutant Launceston returns to the fray as a gelding and market support would be noteworthy.

Galactic Glow and Blue Hero can go well but LAUNCESTON potentially has a ton of improvement in him now handicapping up in trip.
Ths is the racecard key.
