Despite an obvious concern with her wide draw, the Johnny Murtagh-trained WAR SAINT is taken to gain a first career success. An eye-catcher when staying on late to finish fifth at Down Royal on her handicap debut, the daughter of St Mark's Basilica was unlucky in running before reaching the frame at Naas last time. Down The Glen ran a big race on handicap debut at Killarney in August, before disappointing on his next start. A reproduction of that earlier effort would see the Ross O'Sullivan-trained grey hold strong claims. Runner-up in the aforementioned Naas race, the Matthew Smith-trained Ella's Gold has every chance of reversing that form with the winner Synners Kid.

SYNNERS KID, Ella's Gold and War Saint fought out the finish at Naas and Joseph O'Brien's colt is fancied to confirm the form

Although it is difficult to have confidence given her profile, this looks a good opportunity for TSWALU to gain an overdue success. Sent off favourite on seven of her eight starts to date, the Joseph O'Brien-trained filly has proven rather costly for punters. Runner-up on five occasions the daughter of Justify clearly has plenty of ability despite failing to get her head in front thus far. With an official rating of 80, she sets the standard in this moderate contest. Joyful Princess boasts a similar profile in that she has reached the frame in six of her nine starts. She certainly has the ability to win races going forward. Tea Rose is lightly raced and open to improvement.

Perhaps this is the turn of JOYFUL PRINCESS, who proved she handles any ground at Listowel and has been holding her form well this term

A reproduction of his recent fourth placed finish at Gowran Park should see WASITTHEWAY open his account. Wearing a first-time visor on that occasion, the Tom McCourt-trained gelding kept on well in the closing stages. Carrying 2lb overweight at the Kilkenny track, he can race off his correct mark now. Having shown up well against his elders, the three-year-old should appreciate being back in his own age group. Edergole's Angel and Petite Madame appeal most of the remainder.

After a promising recent run at Gowran when dropped back to a mile, WASITTHEWAY is worth chancing and he should get similar conditions

Galway winner STORM AVERTED can follow up for local trainer Michael Mulvany. A daughter of Inns Of Court, the four-year-old quickened up well inside the final furlong to gain a first career victory at the festival. Although now 7lb higher, the form of that contest has been well advertised by a couple of those that finished in behind. Given her largely progressive profile, it would be no surprise to see the filly step up again. Course and distance winner Empress Artemis has to be respected for leading connections. Fourth in a stronger race on Champions Weekend, the three-year-old will find this easier. Fast Tara, another former winner here, could be well handicapped returned to this venue.

ELECTRIC BEAUTY bolted up from a wide draw at Ballybrit last month and her race at Punchestown probably came too soon

Runner-up at Fairyhouse last month, the veteran ONLY SPOOFING can register a 15th career victory. Although not the force of old, the Kevin Coleman-trained gelding won at Musselburgh off an 8lb higher mark back in April. Having shaped with plenty of promise on more than one occasion of late, he could still have too much class for these younger rivals. C&D winner Art Of Unity has to be of interest on stable debut. While an outside draw is undoubtedly a hindrance, the 10-year-old has the services of leading apprentice Nicola Burns. A lightly-raced three-year-old, Steel Magnolia has to be respected for in-form trainer Willie McCreery.

The tentative vote goes to SHE'S SMART, who should be well suited by a strongly run race over this trip

The Jessica Harrington-trained SEA CORAL can gain a second career win. Successful over course and distance in her maiden in July, the daughter of Galiway was highly tried in Listed company on her next start. Although only finishing sixth on that occasion, the three-year-old was far from disgraced in being beaten less than seven lengths by the winner. Entitled to be all the better for that experience, the lightly-raced individual is open to further improvement. Angelo Pio saw his winning run come to an end at Down Royal in July but the form of that race has worked out subsequently. He proved his current wellbeing when third at the Curragh recently. Himalayan Heights is another with every chance.

Joseph O'Brien's first-string ANGELO PIO got firmly back on track with a narrow defeat at the Curragh last time and remains unexposed

A winner over hurdles at Ballinrobe in August, BHEAN SAIBHRE looks well handicapped back on the Flat. Despite her lowly rating in this sphere, the daughter of Decorated Knight showed that she had races in her when runner-up on her latest outing on the level. While a high draw is cause for some concern, rider Jack Cleary should be able to smuggle her into the contest before making use of her proven stamina in the latter stages. Recent Downpatrick hurdles winner Arcland also returns to the Flat off a nice mark. Previously an infrequent winner, the gelding has scored twice since joining trainer Gavin Cromwell. C&D winner Celtic Druid is sure to have been aimed at this meeting.

This can go to ARCLAND (nap) who was running well on the Flat before a hurdle win latest and the ground will be fine for him

A C&D winner off 2lb lower in April, EASTERN WIND can add another success to her tally. Having landed her maiden hurdle at Tipperary on her next start, the Tom McCourt-trained mare has mixed it between both codes in recent outings. Still nicely treated on the level despite winning five times, the daughter of Farhh can enjoy a popular local success. Despite being a 25-race maiden, the John McConnell-trained Hangry hinted that he could be about to make the breakthrough when staying on well to finish fourth at Down Royal recently. Spanish John arrives here in decent heart having reached the frame over hurdles at Roscommon on Monday.

This looks like the weaker of the two divisions with a chance taken on SECRET ROCK who was only beaten 1l on Monday

Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
