14:30 Beverley (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Tim Easterby has won two of the four runnings of this race and is back for more with MONICA'S LAD, who may do better in first-time cheekpieces and upped a furlong. Well beaten at Carlisle last month on soft ground, a mark of 52 seems fair enough for his nursery debut. Imso Friendly has top weight after her fifth in a Chester seller and she could come out second best. Dunkeld Dreamer might follow them home.

Tim Easterby won this last year with a nursery newcomer wearing first-time cheekpieces and MONICA'S LAD is taken to do likewise.

15:00 Beverley (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The three runners to have seen a racecourse haven't shown too much so far, with Wolverhampton seventh Dragon Spin the most interesting, and this may go to a newcomer. PEARL FORTUNE is a daughter of multiple Group 1 winner Blue Point and she changed hands for 80,000gns at the Craven Breeze-Ups. She looks the part on paper and with the Karl Burke horses in good form, she can get the better of Mehmas filly Tanaka, who might come into her own over further later in the season.

Those who have raced haven't achieved much and the selection is newcomer PEARL FORTUNE, a half-sister to seven winners.

15:30 Beverley (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Quirke On Parole battled on to prevail by half a length over C&D and may prove popular as the only recent winner in the field. An added 2lb won't stop her going close once more but a chance is taken on the dropped-in-class THIS YEARS LOVE, who has three wins and a second from four starts at the track and is on a mark he has won off before. Time Tells All and Berkshire Phantom have each-way claims.

Course specialist THIS YEARS LOVE has dropped to his last winning mark and looks the one to be on here. Homeland is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LADY OF THE GARR failed to fire at Thirsk last time, but her previous success at Wetherby suggests that she can win a race of this nature and the four-year-old can be given another chance. The consistent Without Flaw is likely to be in the mix once again, while Captain Bentley and Latin Five are others to consider in a tricky sprint.

The filly LADY OF THE GARR (nap) won at Wetherby last month and had an excuse at Thirsk subsequently when racing on the wrong side.

16:30 Beverley (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

POLE STAR accounted for a decent field when winning a valuable three-year-old handicap over 1m6f at Haydock earlier in the month and Charlie Johnston's colt is hard to oppose against some exposed rivals. That said, Charging Thunder was third in the Northumberland Plate when last seen and that form gives him a big chance. Sax Appeal and Zinc White could be vulnerable, but the former is the pick of that pair.

Recent Haydock winner POLE STAR is a 3yo on the up and he can make it three wins from his six starts. Charging Thunder is a danger.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
