2/1(+27%) | (1) She Went Whoosh 2/1, Well backed when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 60 at Lingfield last time; knocking on the door prior; may contend Beat Watkins by half a length last time and should go well again under the 6lb penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (25/1 -14%)Prince Of Joy |
25/1(-14%) | (2) Prince Of Joy 25/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 7f at Kempton most recent; cheekpieces first time; more needed down in trip Last on his stable/handicap debut (7f) 15 days ago and now tries sprinting in cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (11/2 +0%)Up The Anti |
11/2(+0%) | (4) Up The Anti 11/2, Ran to form beaten 3l off 59 over 6f at Leicester last time; cheekpieces first time; back in trip; not out of it, but may need this off a break Unexposed filly who drops in trip for her reappearance; cheekpieces go on; possibilities. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ROYAL ACCORD didn't do himself any favours with a tardy start at Wolverhampton last time out, but he still did well to finish second and with a cleaner break on this occasion, Stuart Williams' gelding can go one better. She Went Whoosh broke the maiden with a half-length success from the reopposing Watkins (second) at Lingfield last week and both are entitled to be thereabouts again.

Watkins may have turned a corner but ROYAL ACCORD (nap) is in good nick and looks solid on his return to turf.

4/9(+33%) | (1) Dapper Charm 4/9, Hung a bit on the camber when runner-up beaten 1 1/4l in a maiden here only start; trainer in form; should know more and sets fair standard in modest race Made a good start when second over C&D 18 days ago and may well go one better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

6th (6) (200/1 -203%)Kuiama |
200/1(-203%) | (6) Kuiama 200/1, Outpaced, looked very moderate when well beaten in a novice at Kempton only start; all to do Interesting pedigree but green and tailed off at Kempton (AW; 40-1) three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (14/1 -17%)Rogue Speed |
14/1(-17%) | (2) Rogue Speed 14/1, 26 Mar; 9,000gns Mohaather colt; first foal; dam useful at 5f; could be speedy; market best guid 9,000gns yearling by Mohaather with lots of winning 2yos in the family; plausible debutant. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A highly promising second on his debut here, DAPPER CHARM showed plenty of greenness on that occasion and, with normal improvement expected, he can get off the mark for his in-form connections. Eternal Solace has a speedy pedigree being a half-sister to decent handicapper Yes I'm Mali and she could have a big say first time out. Fellow newcomer Debs Ten is bred to need further in time, but still enters the equation.

Having made a good debut over C&D 18 days ago, DAPPER CHARM sets a solid standard and he can go one better.

3rd (1) (7/4 +22%)Packetofbiscuits |
7/4(+22%) | (1) Packetofbiscuits 7/4, Weak in the market when landing a handicap by 2l off 71 at Wolverhampton last time; trainer in form; the pick on balance of form Up 4lb for winning (from a wide stall) last time; good chance of a follow-up on turf debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (5/1 +69%)Play Me |
5/1(+69%) | (5) Play Me 5/1, Beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap over 9f at Epsom last time; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; down the field in other two starts over 7f; bit to find Disappointing favourite on handicap/stable debut and again safely held at Epsom last week. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for PACKETOFBISCUITS after a taking success at Wolverhampton earlier in the month, Sir Mark Prescott's charge looks more than capable of following up, despite a 4lb rise. That may be at the main expense of Mandana, who was a comfortable winner on her return at Lingfield and could be well treated off a mark of 71 on her handicap debut. Bintjan and Little She are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

The three fillies bring promise into their handicap debuts but turf debutant PACKETOFBISCUITS already has winning form in this sphere

16/1(-113%) | (1) Hawa Jumeirah 16/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 6l in a handicap over 12f at Southwell last time; usually consistent; down in trip; not out of it but probably wants further 1m4f AW win in January but not quite as good since; back down in trip on return to turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

9/1(-38%) | (3) Fighting Poet 9/1, Below par comfortably held in a handicap here last time; both wins have come here; usually held up; significant jockey booking; threat if fit on return Both wins came here last year but chance depends on whether he's ready to go off a break. |

7th (8) (14/1 +0%)Big Narstie |
14/1(+0%) | (8) Big Narstie 14/1, Beaten 5l in a classified race over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; in good form prior; top course trainer; up in trip; best form on AW; bit to find 0-10 on turf but it's early days for his shrewd yard and he ran well on AW two starts ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (10/1 -67%)Arenas Del Tiempo |
10/1(-67%) | (2) Arenas Del Tiempo 10/1, Bit too much to do beaten 3/4l off 83 over 2m2f at Fontwell last time; tongue-tie first time; spots of decent turf form despite not winning since 2021; may contend Couple of good hurdle runs lately but just okay on Flat before (AW); tries a tongue-tie. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having returned to form with a solid second over C&D earlier this month, VOIX DE BOCELLI makes plenty of appeal. The five-year-old races off an unchanged mark and he looks more than capable of scoring in class 6 company. Light Up Our Stars has been performing with credit over shorter trips of late and he must enter calculations in his current heart. Scott Dixon's veteran is feared most, ahead of Arenas Del Tiempo.

9yo Light Up Our Stars should go well but the vote is cast toward VOIX DE BOCELLI, who ran well when second over C&D 18 days ago.

5/2(+17%) | (5) Waleyfa 5/2, Raced freely beaten 2l off 62 at Southwell last time; goes well here; consistent; in the mix Good third at Southwell latest; this two-time C&D scorer merits serious consideration. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BLENHEIM STAR offered something to work with on her third-placed reappearance over track and trip 18 days ago. A 1lb drop in the ratings can only help William Knight's filly and a fourth career victory could be on the cards. The biggest threat may emerge from dual C&D winner Waleyfa, who has done little wrong in two outings on the all-weather of late, while Graffiti is noted dropping in trip.

The vote goes to William Knight's BLENHEIM STAR who teed herself up for a third C&D win with a promising return to action 18 days ago.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Sam's Hope arrives on the back of a solid second at Wolverhampton and she must enter calculations off the same mark. However, the five-year-old has yet to prove herself on turf and it could be worth taking a chance on LION RING. Andrew Martin's inmate didn't enjoy the best of passages when finishing sixth in a 14-runner affair at Catterick and he could get his head back in front. The down-in-class Amathus is the pick of the remainder.

Far greater luck in the run may smooth BEAR TO DREAM's path to a fourth Brighton win, ahead of Amathus.

8/1(-7%) | (6) Get Jiggy With It 8/1, Ran to form beaten 2l off 72 over 7f at Lingfield last time; down in trip; best form has come over further; contender Bit betwixt and between trip-wise just now, but latest 2lb drop is a welcome surprise.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The application of a first-time visor did the trick for Sunday's Wetherby winner NORTHCLIFF and there should be more to come. Michael Keady's gelding scored with something in hand and he could make light work of a 5lb penalty. Having returned to form with a respectable second at Bath, The Thames Boatman isn't taken lightly. He appeals as the main danger, ahead of lightly-raced seasonal debutant Maid In Chelsea.

Representing a yard having its best ever month winners-wise, MAID IN CHELSEA is taken to deny Northcliff a quick follow-up.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
