The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MISTER SKY BLUE wasn't disgraced when fourth over C&D on his latest start and the application of cheekpieces for the first time may give him a vital edge in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Havana Rum's recent efforts earn him a place on the shortlist, while Belsito, who finished behind Richard Fahey's gelding at Hamilton, completes the shortlist.

BELSITO appears to be working back to form and, with C&D form figures of 214, could be poised to strike. Havana Rum is a threat.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lorna B gained a second career success on her handicap bow at Thirsk and she is expected to be competitive once again, despite a 6lb rise. Thecla's form on turf offers plenty of promise and a mark of 73 seems more than fair, but the vote goes to BRECKENBROUGH. Despite tasting defeat when sent off an odds-on favourite at Chester, the drop in trip appears to be the right move for her to progress.

Breckenbrough is interesting but MINNIE WILDES shaped encouragingly here over 5f last time and should appreciate returning to 6f.

125/1(-150%) | (11) Lasswade 125/1, No worthwhile form; has beaten only 1 home in 4 runs so far; hard to make a case for Tailed off on handicap debut but got loose beforehand; trainer has done well with family. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Jedhi Knight took a step in the right direction when third on his first attempt in handicap company at Redcar and he's noted. Cangofar is likely to be competitive based on his recent displays at Beverley and Pontefract, but NIVELLE'S MAGIC appears to have them all covered. 2lb well-in under a 5lb penalty for her Ffos Las success last week, the six-year-old is expected to be a tough nut to crack.

There are some interesting 3yos but it's hard to get away from the penalised NIVELLE'S MAGIC (nap), who won by 4l at Ffos Las recently.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Karl Burke seemingly holds all the aces in this maiden courtesy of newcomer Special Thanks and Hamilton second ASPIRAL. Green leaving the stalls before making up ground at the business end, preference is for experience and the latter edges it. Any money for Special Thanks would be interesting, though, especially given she's the mount of Clifford Lee. If I Could Dream is another expected to go well.

Karl Burke's SPECIAL THANKS is out of a Group 3 winner and she can make a winning debut. Stablemate Aspiral is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EMPIRE POWER is in against the boys here, but she wasn't beaten far behind a potentially nice type of William Haggas' at Pontefract recently and it might be worth giving her one more chance. Comanche Warrior was a beaten favourite at Beverley, but performed well enough here on debut to suggest he could quite easily better that display on the Westwood. Of the Richard Fahey pair, he is just preferred to College Fund.

College Fund is second choice but EMPIRE POWER has posted two good efforts for this yard and she's taken to get off the mark.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A tricky handicap finale for punters to solve and just a tentative vote is for JKR COBBLER. Progressive on the all-weather towards the back end of 2024 and a winner over C&D in May of that year, the six-year-old must have a decent shout providing he can cope with the quick turnaround following Monday's close-up second at Ayr. Keep an eye on Highfield Viking, Mayberry Moon and Keep Warm too.

Jkr Cobbler (second) & Keep Warm (fourth) demonstrated their wellbeing at Ayr on Monday but HIGHFIELD VIKING receives the vote.
Ths is the racecard key.
