Back to winning ways with a taking performance at Yarmouth last time out, GLOBAL EFFORT may well have more to offer and he can follow up under a 5lb penalty. Colors Of Freedom had the selection (third) less than a length behind when scoring at Wolverhampton last month and she is entitled to be thereabouts off a 3lb higher mark, as well as Latin Five, who is a capable sort on his day.

The vote goes to LATIN FIVE, who hasn't had much luck on turf lately and is down to a career-low mark.

A 750,000-euro purchase at the sales and bred in the purple as a half-brother to Group 1 winner Saffron Beach, DARTREY could be a talented newcomer for the Ralph Beckett team and it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see him make a winning debut. American Flight finished last of three on her first start at Pontefract and is likely to step forward from that experience. Riffa Spirit, who hails from a yard in top form at present, is another open to improvement.

750,000euros yearling DARTREY, a half-brother to Sun Chariot winner Saffron Beach, is the one that draws the eye on debut.

MEDINILLA showed up well for a long way over further at Catterick before being worn down late in the piece and dropping back to 6f should prove ideal as she looks to land a third career success. Not beaten too far on each of her last two starts at Windsor and Chester, Queue Dos is likely to have a say in proceedings once more. Currahee completes the shortlist.

Chilly Breeze is capable of better but QUEUE DOS, who's enjoying a highly consistent season, can make it 3-4 on the AW.

CRACK SHOT showed signs of a revival when finishing a solid fourth at Carlisle in June. The son of Kingman could launch a strong challenge on his debut for James Owen's yard, having won off a 2lb higher mark at Newmarket last term. Signcastle City is no forlorn hope down in both class and distance, while the handicap debutant Bright Times Ahead has plenty of scope.

Top of the list is CRACK SHOT who made a bold bid in the Carlisle Bell and is an interesting contender on his first run for James Owen.

Glistening failed to fire when sent off favourite at Newbury on her reappearance and is looking to bounce back. MAJAZ also returned a beaten favourite at Yarmouth last month, but gave the strong impression this extra test of stamina would suit in the process. Lady Ridgewood returns to maiden company with a shout, while Bronte Beach is a newcomer to keep an eye on.

This looks a bit tricky but MAJAZ sets a useful standard on her best form and she gets the vote ahead of Lady Ridgewood.

NIGHT TARA looks a likely type representing Sir Mark Prescott's yard. She has shown little in three starts over shorter trips, but the half-sister to a 1m4f winner has untapped potential over middle distances and may could prove well treated on her handicap debut. Tough and consistent, another good effort from Backer Bilk looks assured, while Al Baarez posted his best effort so far when fourth at Windsor.

James Owen's new recruit BACKER BILK (nap) has a record of 21232 in handicaps and gets the vote ahead of the unexposed Night Tara.
Ths is the racecard key.
