Blow Your Wad has been running well of late, with a narrow defeat in the Greatwood Gold Cup followed by a fourth in the Ultima. A 4lb rise doesn't appear harsh, but whether he will be at his best after a relatively busy period remains to be seen. Soldierofthestorm has improved this season and got off the mark over fences at Sandown. He is respected off a 5lb higher mark, but BEN SOLO is preferred. The seven-year-old found the Jack Richards a step too far but the return to this level, along with the application of a tongue-tie, gives him strong credentials to bounce back.

A quality handicap. The suggestion is KNIGHT OF ALLEN (nap) who may well be happier than some on the drying ground.

THE ITALIAN FOX had plenty in hand when winning over C&D last week and is hard to ignore back here under a penalty. That was only his second start in a handicap and a repeat dose could suffice in this weaker-looking race. Groom De Cotte hasn't had much racing over the past year or so, although the 10-year-old showed plenty of zest when second at Huntingdon most recently. He has gone well fresh and cannot be ruled out. Home And Dry and Galassian are each-way alternatives.

Low-mileage 6yo THE ITALIAN FOX took a big step forward when winning by 14l over C&D a week ago and he can defy a penalty.

Louxor De Grugy should be wiser after his debut at Kempton and can figure, while the betting can guide where the likes of Winmeafortune and Chance A Glance are concerned.
