1st (1) (8/15 -7%)Ammes |
8/15(-7%) | (1) Ammes 8/15, Came back with a decent effort in April; got the trip well last time; race wasn't run to suit last time; the one to side with Has run well in all his races, latterly when a close third at Chester's May meeting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (11/8 +21%)Triple Gee |
11/8(+21%) | (2) Triple Gee 11/8, Can improve a fair bit from debut; half-brother to four winners, including Quenelle D'Or (12f Listed winner) Finished a 6l third behind two promising horses at Salisbury (1m4f). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

AMMES has shown plenty of ability in each of his three starts, including when finishing a respectable third at Chester earlier in the month, and he sets the standard with a rating of 86. With the James Owen yard in good form, he looks the one to beat. Triple Gee shaped with promise when finishing third on his debut at Salisbury and will most certainly give the selection a race.

Triple Gee can improve but AMMES sets the bar quite high on his two runs this season.

1st (1) (2/1 +20%)Phaedra |
2/1(+20%) | (1) Phaedra 2/1, Didn't quite have the pace last time; may be seen to better effect over this longer trip Fair run last time behind a front-running winner; 1m4f might bring her on some more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (11/2 +45%)All Cost |
11/2(+45%) | (6) All Cost 11/2, Has regressed since a decent second on return; needs more; down 2lbs Nearly won in February but below that level in four subsequent starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (14/1 +0%)Crackamour |
14/1(+0%) | (7) Crackamour 14/1, Makes turf debut having shown very little to date 0-5 but only 9-4 in betting last time; could improve for the fitting of blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (13/2 +28%)No Gain |
13/2(+28%) | (8) No Gain 13/2, Not completely disgraced last time; would need a bit more though; not that reliable; up a fair way in trip Questionable whether she improved for a tongue-tie when a 3l fifth at Yarmouth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (6/1 -140%)Emily Rebecca |
6/1(-140%) | (3) Emily Rebecca 6/1, Has done better in two handicaps; decent effort last time and isn't right in the mix Second in both her handicaps at 1m2f and she promises to stay 1m4f. |

66/1(+0%) | (9) Leading Star Girl 66/1, Hasn't shown lots to date and has usually been long odds; up in trip Hasn't really threatened in any of her races and the cheekpieces did nothing last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (17/2 +15%)Belle Amie |
17/2(+15%) | (4) Belle Amie 17/2, Last in all three novice starts; not the clearest run last time; up in trip on handicap debut; able to do better Well-related filly who should now find her level in handicaps; betting instructive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (4/1 +33%)What A Nation |
4/1(+33%) | (2) What A Nation 4/1, Below par in a couple of races this season; needs to bounce back and show a bit more; cheekpieces first time; significant jockey booking Has to improve, though the cheekpieces are new and Oisin Murphy takes over. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (125/1 -150%)Boundless Poet |
125/1(-150%) | (5) Boundless Poet 125/1, Has been gelded since well beaten last time; markedly in up trip; a little bit of work to do Beaten nearly 20l on stable debut in a 1m handicap and unraced beyond that far. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

EMILY REBECCA has proved a different proposition since stepping into handicap company as she has taken a silver medal home in each of her two outings. Richard Hannon's filly takes a step up in distance and sports first-time blinkers, which may eke out the improvement required. Her stable companion Phaedra looks the main danger after not being disgraced in third at Nottingham last time, while No Gain isn't out of it either.

Richard Hannon has a good hand with PHAEDRA and Emily Rebecca, both of whom ran well last time and promise to stay this far.

80/1(+0%) | (1) Blue Jammin 80/1, Last on debut when green; needs more Slowly away and in rear throughout when a 22-1 chance for his Leicester debut (5f). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ITALICA took a big step forward from his debut effort to make the frame at Chester earlier in the month and could have lots more to offer. Tom Dascombe's juvenile is related to a few winners and can get off the mark. Sir Albert changed hands for 165,000 euros as a yearling and is a half-brother to the Listed-placed Festive Fare, so he needs to be monitored in the betting market first time out, along with Schrodinger's Cat.

All things considered, ITALICA did mighty well to finish so close in the Lily Agnes at Chester. Some interesting newcomers take him on.

1st (1) (7/1 -8%)Glamorous Breeze |
7/1(-8%) | (1) Glamorous Breeze 7/1, Made the most of being 7lb below last winning mark when scoring on penultimate start; went up 3lbs for that and ran well last time (a little short of room at the start and wide); chance again Capable sprinter and not impossibly treated, though record when fresh is offputting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (5/2 +9%)Connie's Rose |
5/2(+9%) | (6) Connie's Rose 5/2, Is a C&D winner; good effort here last time over 6f; if building on last time he's right in it Best of three runs after wind surgery was last week's very close third here over 6f. |

3rd (2) (5/2 +64%)Jacquelina |
5/2(+64%) | (2) Jacquelina 5/2, In very good form last May-June (5 wins); not so good since and ran on Sunday; right in this on best form, but needs to find that Signs were a lot more encouraging when not far away at Newmarket at the weekend. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (5/1 -264%)Rosenpur |
5/1(-264%) | (3) Rosenpur 5/1, Has been in good form on last few starts; won on penultimate start and ran well returned to turf last time; should be well in the mix Has only won on the AW but he was collared only late on at Chester (5f, good). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (25/1 -150%)Ecclesiastical |
25/1(-150%) | (4) Ecclesiastical 25/1, Below par on last start in March; had been better before that, winning with a little in hand on penultimate start; starts for a new yard today Went up 7lb for his win in March and failed to figure next time; new trainer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (12/1 +40%)Phoenix Beach |
12/1(+40%) | (5) Phoenix Beach 12/1, Three wins at Wolves this year; didn't get a run when back on turf on penultimate start; not at best over 6f last time; back to 5f today and has a chance Excuses two runs back and went off a bit too fast when returned to 6f last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A confident vote goes to ROSENPUR, who finished second in a warm class 2 event at Chester recently from 3lb out of the handicap. He might have won were it not for Warren Fentiman dropping his rein in the final furlong and this looks a good opportunity to go one better. Jacquelina was in excellent heart last summer and there were signs of a return to form at Newmarket on Sunday. Connie's Rose, who came off worst in a three-way photo over 6f here last time, is another to consider.

Rosenpur has a lot going for him but CONNIE'S ROSE goes particularly well here and she looks ready to exploit her reduced mark.

1st (6) (5/1 -25%)Over Spiced |
5/1(-25%) | (6) Over Spiced 5/1, Bounced back to form on last start; down 2lbs and is in with a chance Maiden winner who is 0-7 in handicaps but she was under 2l away in the latest at Windsor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (13/8 +19%)Bust A Moon |
13/8(+19%) | (1) Bust A Moon 13/8, Carries a 6lb penalty for winning last time when dropped into a selling race; can't be ruled out this time and is on the shortlist Won a seller last week and will need a personal best to defy a penalty back in a handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (7/4 +73%)Step Along |
7/4(+73%) | (2) Step Along 7/4, Up with the pace before weakening over 6f last time on handicap debut (ground possibly a touch fast); likely to need a bit more Showed a bit in sprint novices and only weakened out of the picture late on at Windsor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (11/2 -57%)Art Of Fox |
11/2(-57%) | (7) Art Of Fox 11/2, Didn't show loads in three maidens/novices; slightly better on handicap debut last time, but will need to do better; that is possible Didn't see out the 6f on handicap debut after pulling hard; considered back at 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (50/1 +0%)Glamorous Jewel |
50/1(+0%) | (9) Glamorous Jewel 50/1, Nothing to suggest she will be winning this; returning from long layoff; plenty more needed Handicap debut; has an official mark of 24 but has to run off 46. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (33/1 -267%)Blue Point Express |
33/1(-267%) | (4) Blue Point Express 33/1, Not seen since August and has changed hands since then; is 2lbs lower; not one for full faith Can probably win a race but has been out for a good while (stable debut). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (22/1 -57%)Run To My Side |
22/1(-57%) | (5) Run To My Side 22/1, Not a bad run on return this year; hasn't really built on that since; has slipped down 3lbs Beaten 6l and 5l in her two handicaps, both over 6f on the AW; looks quick enough for 5f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (100/1 -52%)Lady Dorchester |
100/1(-52%) | (3) Lady Dorchester 100/1, Some encouragement last year; very poor this year (last on both starts); needs much more 0-11 and went off at 10-1 when again trailing home last at Windsor (behind Over Spiced). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ART OF FOX ran well for a long way despite pulling too hard over 6f at Nottingham last time. The gelded son of Mehmas was eased 2lb for his troubles and remains capable of better, so perhaps dropping to the minimum trip can work the oracle. Bust A Moon landed a Seller at Beverley recently and is respected under a 6lb penalty, while others to note include Over Spiced and Step Along.

Richard Hannon's ART OF FOX pulled too hard over 6f on his handicap debut and he warrants another chance on this drop back to 5f.

10/1(+9%) | (1) Ultramarine 10/1, Was in good form last year; has been ok this year and wasn't seen to best effect last time over 6f; back at 7f now; chance Five-time AW winner who is 0-24 on the grass so he's probably worth taking on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (9/2 +18%)Believe You Me |
9/2(+18%) | (5) Believe You Me 9/2, May come on for return this year; three-time C&D winner; can go well down 2lbs All wins here; finished runner-up here last May after a modest reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/4 +63%)Power Of Gold |
11/4(+63%) | (2) Power Of Gold 11/4, In and out of form; below par last time when ninth (winner and second have won since); down 1lb and needs to bounce back Drop back to 7f could work and he's his Yorkshire-based yard's only runner on the card. |

5th (8) (25/1 +11%)Diamondsinthesand |
25/1(+11%) | (8) Diamondsinthesand 25/1, Form tapered off a bit at the end of last year; return was lacklustre; needs better Can hold his form once finding it but it was a quiet return three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (7/1 -40%)Marsh Benham |
7/1(-40%) | (3) Marsh Benham 7/1, Has progressed in three starts this year; won a handicap on on Friday; if continuing in good spirits, he can have a say Escapes a penalty for his Newbury win but dropping back to 7f is a nagging concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (11/4 +0%)Cooperation |
11/4(+0%) | (7) Cooperation 11/4, Won on his second start at 7f last time (Friday); that was his first win in two years, but did it very well and the 1-2 were a fair way clear of the rest; should feature again Rare sighting over 7f when winning last week and escapes a penalty for that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (40/1 -21%)Double Time |
40/1(-21%) | (4) Double Time 40/1, Well below par on two starts this year; needs improvement on those efforts to feature Signed off last season in modest form and that's continued this campaign for new yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COOPERATION returned to winning ways in an apprentice handicap at Newmarket five days ago and remains in the same grade. Providing the seven-year-old is in similar form, he will prove very tough to beat. Marsh Benham sprang a 25/1 surprise to score at Newbury last Friday and is likely to be on the premises. Of the remainder, Ultramarine makes most appeal.

Winning doesn't come easily to POWER OF GOLD but he nearly won his last race over 7f and he's a rare runner here for the Quinns.

17/2(-113%) | (3) Candy Warhol 17/2, In and out of form, but has won twice this year; likes to lead and if he gets it his way today, he can go close Both wins on AW but nearly off the mark on turf when reeled in late on at Brighton (6f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (7/2 -17%)Savannah Smiles |
7/2(-17%) | (5) Savannah Smiles 7/2, Made a good return here last time; is a previous C&D winner and must be of interest again this time Beaten a head last week (5f) and all her five wins have been at this longer trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (22/1 -10%)We're Reunited |

7th (7) (16/1 -14%)Malham Tarn Cove |
16/1(-14%) | (7) Malham Tarn Cove 16/1, Average on return; may have been a bit soft that day, so the ground today should be more up his street Only third of five on his return from wind surgery (5f) but soft ground was not ideal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (12/1 -85%)Poet |
12/1(-85%) | (6) Poet 12/1, Built on return to score last time, despite some interference; form perhaps a bit better on the AW; still has a chance up 4lbs Overcame a slow start and some trouble in running to win at Newcastle (6f); 0-4 on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (14/1 +13%)Ever Driven |
14/1(+13%) | (1) Ever Driven 14/1, Returned with a reasonable effort at Wolves over 7f; below par last time; a bit to find 0-6 and now drops back to 6f for first time since last summer's debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

POET came through the field to record a 28/1 victory at Newcastle last time and there didn't seem to be any fluke about that success. Scott Dixon's six-year-old looks well placed to complete the double, with his main threat possibly being Candy Warhol, who will be looking to build on his neck second at Brighton earlier in the month. Silky Robin is the pick of the remainder.

This track and SAVANNAH SMILES (nap) are a good fit and last week's narrow defeat came over a trip short of her best.
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
