THE PRICE OF PEACE won between the flags in Ireland earlier in the year and performed well for second on his Rules debut in a Ffos Las maiden hurdle in October. That form reads well and he should improve for the run, so is expected to prove tough to beat. Of the others, keep an eye on Watchful Protector and Ignore The Door.

This looks a fine opportunity for THE PRICE OF PEACE who saw the race out so well in a strong 2m4f maiden on soft ground at Ffos Las.

BEN SOLO looked to be on really good terms with himself when making all over C&D a couple of weeks ago and, open to stacks more improvement, Rebecca Curtis' charge can record a quick double. Lumi Plugin has every chance if ready to roll following a 236-day absence, while it's also worth keeping a close eye on Just Over Land.

The most obvious answer is BEN SOLO (nap), who made all over C&D a fortnight ago and remains lightly raced over fences.

Pyleigh Master ended his last campaign on a positive note winning a Ffos Las maiden and could go well here if ready to roll on his return. However, it could pay to side with the race-fit GETALEAD, who certainly wasn't disgraced when fourth at Kempton 12 days ago. Queens Venture and C&D winner Idefix De Ciergues are others to take seriously.

After travelling well to a point on his seasonal debut, CHAMPAGNE CHIC and can pose a more potent threat here if that run did him good.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The aptly-named AWORKINPROGRESS clearly benefited from a patient approach over hurdles with Nick Gifford's charge unbeaten in five starts over fences. The six-year-old made a winning return at Lingfield last month and victory here would seal his position near the head of the market for the Welsh National at the end of the month. Makin'yourmindup was last seen in March 2024 and is respected following a wind operation, while Minella Blueway is capable of leaving behind his Cheltenham effort in October.

Aworkinprogress is opposed with MAKIN'YOURMINDUP, who was in good form in early 2024 and who resumes on a tempting mark.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ALAN DE BANKS shaped with promise on all three starts last season and is expected to benefit from the switch to fences coming from the family of Grade 1-winning chaser Joncol. Elysian Knight is another chasing debutant expected to be in the mix after winning twice over hurdles, while Willmount was right in contention when falling on his first attempt over the larger obstacles at Ffos Las. If showing no ill-effects, the seven-year-old is more than capable of a decent showing.

Lightly raced 6yo ALAN DE BANKS ran well in defeat on his handicap hurdle debut in January and switches to fences with huge potential.

MODERN MAN won an Irish point-to-point last December and is entitled to have come forward for his Rules debut here in a maiden hurdle last month. A decent third on that occasion, he can only improve and is in the right hands to progress. There are a couple of interesting debutants going to post, though, and it will be worth keeping an eye on the market when it comes to Grand Vendetta and Brisky Dancer.

It's hard to get away from MODERN MAN, who made a good start to his rules career when third over C&D last month.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Dan Skelton has introduced a few smart types already this season and Presley must be taken seriously given the yard is in such good form. However, at the likely prices, PRINCESS DAY could be the one getting weight as she readily won a point in Ireland earlier in the year. Keltype is another debutant to consider closely in the finale.

The vote goes to Dan Skelton's striking newcomer PRESLEY, whose sales price increased to 185,000euros last summer.
Ths is the racecard key.
