The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Oilisa won twice at Ayr and Nottingham in October before being unable to land the hat-trick on her final start at Redcar. The four-year-old is more than capable of taking another step forward, but preference is for RISING FORCE. John Butler's gelding won on turf at Yarmouth last April after a productive spell on all-weather and arrives following a similar campaign. Others to consider include Asian Journey, Star Start and Tees George.

Asian Journey heads a long list of dangers to the potentially well-handicapped FOUR FIFTY. The selection may be best caught fresh.

A half-brother to QEII hero King Of Change and Group 2 winner Century Dream, KING OF EARTH gets the vote. The William Haggas-trained Kingman colt holds a 2000 Guineas entry and made a promising start to his career when second at Newbury in October. Naval Light has been gelded during the off-season and held his own in some hot contests as a juvenile. Firewalker, another son of Kingman with Classic engagements, was a costly failure at Southwell and needs to step forward.

Similar types KING OF EARTH and Firewalker are set for an intriguing clash. Naval Light adds interest.

STANAGE won a division of this race 12 months ago from a 7lb higher mark and he ended last season with some encouraging efforts in defeat. With that in mind, it would be no surprise to see him repeat that success. Epictetus was only beaten a neck into second over 7f at Chelmsford recently and is likely to be in the mix once again. Others to note are Miletus, Red Mirage and Capital Guarantee.

Dropped back in trip with a tongue-tie fitted, MILETUS is taken to open his handicap account. Stanage is second pick.

Ashnak was a useful performer in France and has to be noted on his debut for these connections. That said, HARVEY caught the eye when third over a mile at Kempton recently and this unexposed four-year-old may improve significantly now stepped up in trip. Port Of London represents top connections and should not be underestimated, while Atherstone Warrior edges out Castle Stuart and Spioradalta to be next best.

Port Of London, Spoken Truth and Harvey are shortlisted but SAY WHAT YOU SEE should go very well if he's fit.

Disappointing last time when bidding for Kempton AW double; goes in new headgear. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MORBEH appeared to have plenty in hand when winning on his handicap debut at Lingfield in January and Roger Varian's gelding merits plenty of respect off a 5lb higher mark here. Siam Ruby won at the second time of asking in a maiden at the same venue when last seen and she has to be respected off an opening mark of 72. Arc Ole Ole and Only In Manila also merit consideration.

Back and forth occurred in attempting to come up with a selection. MORBEH is rather tentatively preferred, ahead of Siam Ruby.

Having ended his three-year-old campaign with a head second at Newmarket, it could be worth chancing SIXTYGEESBABY in an open contest. Now under the tutelage of David O'Meara, the son of Starspangledbanner has a fine record fresh and he may be able to defy a 2lb rise in the ratings. Territorial Knight was last seen finishing a good fifth in the Ayr Bronze Cup in September and he must enter the reckoning, along with fellow C&D winners Fine Interview and Lord Bertie.

A cracking race in which the unexposed SIXTYGEESBABY can make a winning stable debut. Territorial Knight is feared most.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Juan Les Pins supplemented a close second at Newcastle when getting up to win at that same track 10 days ago. The nine-year-old has five turf victories to his name and merits respect in his follow-up bid, but CHARLIE MASON shades the verdict. Tony Carroll's gelding arrives on the back of a good runner-up effort at Wolverhampton and he won't mind any cut in the ground. Our Absent Friends and Ay Gee Ell are other race-fit rivals to consider.

Emperor Caradoc and Fuji Mountain can feature but CHARLIE MASON returns to the scene of his last win and earns the vote.
Ths is the racecard key.
