Slow starts are included as part of the package with BROSAY, but his talent has been on the rise and he boasts highly persuasive claims. Having shown ground versatility with recent victories at Windsor and Ascot, the son of Tasleet simply gave himself too much to do when fourth back at the later venue three weeks ago. That was still a solid effort and he again is a key player. His old rival Jubilee Walk is feared with cheekpieces added. Strike Red, Eye Of Dubai and Fine Interview also command respect.

After going close in the Ayr Gold Cup, JUBILEE WALK could well regain the winning thread. Brosay is second pick.

Arbaawy has obvious claims and should be capable of exploiting any weakness shown by his less-expreinced opponents. However, there is a lot to like about the profile of INFRAAD, who is closely related to the Group 1 winner Nezwaah. Starting out over a mile shouldn't be an issue for William Haggas' newcomer, who is suggested as the first one to consider. Affettuoso and Golden Story are other well-bred colts to keep a close eye on in the betting.

The two runners with experience are taking on newcomers who could prove above average. AFFETTUOSO is particularly interesting.

Those with experience look beatable and it may pay to focus on the newcomers. HARPER VIOLET, who is from the same family as the high-class Inisherin, is suggested as the most appealing option. However, Hollywell Stream, whose price rose from 95,000gns as a foal to 280,000gns as a yearling, is another must for a betting check. The stable companions, Lilt and Venetian Sky, help William Haggas play an intriguing hand.

Poets Praise and Florida Suite are likely to improve, while HARPER VIOLET and Lilt are particularly interesting debutantes.

Having completed a hat-trick over C&D last month, Rogue Diplomat demands respect given his progressive profile. A further 3lb rise for James Owen's colt looks workable and another bold bid is forecast, but FIRST AMBITION could be open to more improvement. The lightly-raced four-year-old arrives on the back of a solid second on his handicap bow at Haydock and, off an unchanged mark, a repeat performance may prove sufficient. The down-in-distance Midnight Gun is worth a second look too.

Being very progressive over 7f, ROGUE DIPLOMAT holds particularly strong claims. Balmacara is second choice.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The unbeaten Rising Power scored a shade cosily at Sandown in June and there could be more to come on his nursery bow. However, an official rating of 90 does look steep on the bare form and it may be worth chancing the down-in-trip GWEN JOHN. The daughter of Kodiac looked a shade too keen when fifth at Newmarket over 7f and a race of this nature looks within her compass. Go Vince Go is the pick of the remainder.

Godolphin colt RISING POWER is 2-2 and is taken to maintain his unbeaten record now upped to 6f on his nursery debut, following a break.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

C&D winner ABERAMA GOLD has held his form well since August, with his latest second at Goodwood showing he may still be feasibly treated. The eight-year-old has Cian Horgan claiming a handy 5lb and could record his 16th career success. Trouble Man was put in his place in Listed company at Chantilly in March, but steps back into a handicap and might have a say. Green Pursuit makes his first appearance for the Seb Spencer yard and warrants a market check.

David O'Meara holds a strong hand and ABERAMA GOLD (nap), who goes well on heavy ground, can prove too strong for Lord Bertie.
Class & Speed Card
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Lesrico outran odds of 50/1 to fill the runner-up spot at Haydock last month and should remain competitive, despite being 1lb higher. However, HARSWELL RUBY has been unfortunate to fill the runner-up spot in four of her last five starts and first-time blinkers might eke out the improvement required to get her head back in front. Monday's Pontefract victor Tele Red is another to note.

With further improvement plausible, GHOST STORY is preferred. Harswell Ruby is a solid second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.
