RHYTHM AND TYNE had both Autocrat and Rockview Consort behind when just denied in a claimer over C&D last month. The selection won twice over an extended 1m2f here near the end of 2023 and has since been mainly campaigned over hurdles. Brosna Town won a maiden over this trip at Fairyhouse last summer and kept on well when an encouraging third to Pepper Noir on his first outing at this venue last month, while Eighty Eight confirmed the promise of his second to Trishuli River when going one better here just before Christmas but is unproven over this trip.

BROSNA TOWN showed improved form switched to this surface when third over C&D 4 weeks ago and remains unexposed. He gets the nod over Autocrat and Eighty Eight.

The one to be on could well be RHYTHM AND TYNE after a narrow defeat in a C&D claimer last month with a couple of these behind

LYLE THE CROCODILE showed some promise in three maiden starts over this trip and may have just found the step up to 7f a shade too far when a promising third to Your Call on his first handicap start here last month. Tomarlo had Movin And Groovin about three lengths behind when scoring over C&D in November and was subsequently only caught in the closing stages when stepping up a furlong. Movin And Groovin can't be discounted on these revised terms and had Bansha Belle three lengths behind when again filling the runner-up spot over 6f last time. Hooz In Court kept on well over a mile here last time but may not be suited by this drop back in distance.

There is more to come from LYLE THE CROCODILE and he can open his account back down in trip. Tomarlo and Movin And Groovin should go well again also.

The one to beat is the progressive TOMARLO(nap) who will appreciate coming back to 6f after a narrow defeat over 7f in November

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

CURRENT OPTION has proved a great servant to connections winning the Ahonoora Premier Handicap three times at the Galway Festival and also landing a Group 3 at Tipperary. The selection held a career-high mark of 110 but still retains plenty of ability, as evidenced by his neck second to Apache Outlaw over C&D last time with a number of these rivals behind, including Clarita. Shoot To Kill has won twice over 7f here this winter, including at the last meeting before Christmas, and he remains a threat off his revised rating, while Nikki Swango and Sayifyouwill are closely matched on their running behind Comfort Line last month.

NIKKI SWANGO caught the eye starting out for this yard when 3½ lengths behind Shoot To Kill over this C&D 3 weeks ago and he's 7 lb better off with the winner here. Clarita and Current Option complete the shortlist.

Marginal preference is for the consistent SHOOT TO KILL after two wins here over the winter and looks ready to win in this grade

MVEVE has been placed on both outings here over 7f and may have found a good opportunity to open her account. The daughter of American Pharoah lost out narrowly to Ethical Code before filling third spot behind the 84-rated Queens Fury and subsequent winner Ardagh Red. Eutropia attracted market support when fifth on debut behind the selection's stablemate Honeysuckle Rose, with Lady Plimsoll behind in sixth, while Nepal was runner-up on debut behind another Joseph O'Brien-trained maiden winner, also over 7f last month. Calm The Jets showed some promise in a barrier trial at Leopardstown.

MVEVE sets a solid standard and looks the way to go in a first-time tongue tie. Nepal looks the danger after he made a promising start here last month. Hopes Are High might be the pick of the newcomers.

It might pay to side with LADY PLIMSOLL who caught the eye in a 7f maiden here last month and will appreciate the step up in trip

Electric Beauty, Denim And Diamonds and BEAUTIFUL AFFAIR were only separated by about a length in the maiden won by the selection's stablemate Sweet Illusions over C&D last month. The Wootton Bassett filly is obviously held in good regard as she was sent off the heavily backed 11/8 favourite for that debut run and didn't enjoy the clearest of passages. Electric Beauty was also having her first run and there was plenty to like about the way she came home strongly inside the final furlong. Powerful Lady enters calculations on her neck second to Your Call here last time, while Lyra Constellation and Bint Majestic Roi are others to consider.

BEAUTIFUL AFFAIR wasn't seen to best effect when strong in the betting on debut over C&D last month and rates a likely contender. Electric Beauty and Love Sonnet also made eye-catching debuts in the same maiden and they head the dangers.

Preference is for ELECTRIC BEAUTY who really caught the eye on debut here last month and should go very close

The handicapper hasn't much to judge EAGLES WHISTLE on and perhaps the daughter of Free Eagle has been let in off a lenient mark in her first handicap. She was never involved in two turf outings on testing ground before keeping on well over 7f when switched to this venue last month. Beauty Bella won a maiden over C&D early last year and drops back down to a mile following a promising first effort for her current yard last month, while Golden Days has gained all her wins over 7f but is worth a try at this trip. The John McConnell-trained pair Turbo Sprint and Royal Tribute are two to consider at the bottom of the handicap.

C&D winner BEAUTY BELLA ran well starting out for this yard when fourth in a handicap over further here 23 days ago and with her rider taking off a handy 5 lb, she could be worth chancing to build on that with victory. Golden Days and Royal Tribute arrive in good form and are live dangers along with Turbo Sprint. Arthur Rose is another not to be giving up on.

Probably the weaker of the two divisions. BEAUTY BELLA could be the one after a promising yard debut and her previous win came over C&D

HIGHER KINGDOM has won three times over this C&D for current connections, including when dropping right down to a career-low rating on his penultimate start. The selection, who was racing off a mark of 80 just over a year ago, was subsequently far from disgraced despite a tardy start after getting upset in the stalls. Cousin Shay also scored on his second-last outing over C&D, while L'Immortale ran a cracker when only giving best in the closing stages behind Trishuli River over an extended 1m2f in November. Aljadel won twice on the all-weather for Richard Hughes and has dropped down to an attractive mark after four outings for current connections in recent months.

RECLAIM doesn't have many miles on the clock for a 5-y-o and didn't shape at all badly with a view to stepping back up in trip when midfield in a 7f handicap 23 days ago. He shades the vote operating from a career-low mark, with Higher Kingdom and L'Immortale others fancied to feature.

DAHAB has been placed on a number of occasions and deserves a winning turn. The selection was second to Naturally Nimble over 1m2f at Navan in September and again filled the runner-up spot on his latest two starts at this venue, including the mile maiden won by Aratayvo, with Wrob And Wryan and Whisper A Prayer among a number of these behind. Sacred Oath merits respect on her second to Genoah over C&D but subsequently disappointed and is now fitted with cheekpieces. Quatrain is closely matched with Whisper A Prayer on their running behind Touch The Sound here over a mile, while Bloom Vega is another to consider.

DAHAB arrives on the back of a pair of solid runner-up efforts here last month and more of the same could be enough to see him deservedly get off the mark back at this longer trip. Bloom Vega and Sacred Oath head up the dangers, whilst it will be interesting what the market makes of Temple City on debut for Denis Hogan.

It may be worth giving a chance to SACRED OATH who was narrowly denied over C&D 2 starts ago and may bounce back with cheekpieces on

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
