A five-time winner at this track, THE HIGHWAY RAT has every chance of adding a sixth success. Rated as high as 108 in his prime, the Andy Oliver-trained seven-year-old can always be relied on to run his race at this venue. In excellent form since returning on turf at the start of the season, he can be expected to continue that improvement now back on his favoured surface. In a race where a strong pace is virtually guaranteed, Ben Coen can pick up the pieces late on. Runner-up in a Listed race here last October. Revoke would have every chance if able to replicate that form. Eclairage is a speedy filly that shouldn't be discounted from her favourable low draw.

A lot in with chances but REVOKE is returned to the C&D of her most impressive run and she can put two underwhelming efforts behind her

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (12/1 +0%)Cosmic Force |
12/1(+0%) | (11) Cosmic Force 12/1, Slowly away fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a claimer over 8f at Bellewstown latest where failed to stay; drop in trip a plus; usually held up; minor chance Placed on AW off 62 in January; beaten 4.25l at Bellewstown last time; not discounted. |

Recent Bellewstown runner-up ERIC LOCK can step up one place here. A winner on turf at Down Royal in May, the Noel Meade-trained gelding is now just 1lb higher. However, once taking his apprentice riders' claim into account, the son of Advertise looks very well treated. Jockey Emily Grifferty was also in the saddle when the three-year-old finished second at this track in April. That form has been seriously boosted subsequently with the winner now rated 20ib higher. Topweight Just Before has to be of interest in first-time blinkers. A consistent filly in recent months, she looks well treated off 74. Colin Keane looks a significant booking on Cork sixth Senti Qua.

Well beaten in five handicap starts, JUST BEFORE, was only 1l behind last time. She can put in a bold bid in first-time blinkers

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (300/1 -275%)Glasheen Girl |
300/1(-275%) | (9) Glasheen Girl 300/1, No worthwhile form; yet to beat a rival home in 4 starts; tongue-tie first time; all to do Hasn't beaten a rival in four starts including here on debut; passed over.. |

With the form of the Cork maiden in which he finished fourth on debut working out well, SIDNEY REILLY can open his account. Very well supported for that contest, the Andy Oliver-trained gelding was outpaced before staying on strongly inside the last furlong. Although that race was run on soft ground, connections must clearly feel that the son of Cotai Glory will handle this quicker surface. If doing so, he is very much the one to beat. Having caught the eye on debut at Naas, De Boode is an obvious danger. Stable second string on that occasion, Colin Keane takes the ride now. Limbocall should be capable of stepping up on two promising opening runs for Michael O'Callaghan.

This race boils down to three and SIDNEY REILLY makes the most appeal following his fourth on debut at Cork when looking inexperienced

This looks a good opportunity for recent Bellewstown runner-up RAMPAGE to go one better. Although raised 2lb for that narrow defeat, the Tom McCourt-trained gelding can race off a 7lb lower mark back on the all-weather. While arguably a better horse on the turf, the six-year-old has won off a higher rating over this course and distance in the past. In a race where there are question marks about a couple of his main rivals, he should take the beating. El Bello is of obvious interest with Colin Keane a notable booking. Very well handicapped on his best form, the grey is arguably better over 7f. Similar comments apply to the Tom McGuinness-trained mare Hastily.

This is open so it could pay to take a chance on ENDLESS DAWN who was beaten just a neck from a higher mark here in February

12th (14) (40/1 -100%)Shuyak |
40/1(-100%) | (14) Shuyak 40/1, Did not get a clear run down the field in a handicap over 7f at Down Royal most recent; inconsistent; return to polytrack a plus; bit to find Better when beaten 5l at Limerick and got no run behind The Bog Bank at Down Royal. |

Topweight MORNING APPROACH looks well handicapped on a mark which is 1lb below her last winning rating. Given that that latest success came over this course and distance, there are no concerns on either of those scores. A three-time Dundalk winner, the Willie McCreery-trained mare can always be relied on to give her running at this track. The Bog Bank, who has built up a good partnership with Alyse Clarke, is another with decent claims. A dual winner here, the daughter of Epaulette won on her penultimate outing at Down Royal last month. Master Garvey and Glencullen are others that have run well at this venue in the past.

He has a bit to prove on the AW but DINAMINE is rated lower on this surface and has been in competitive form on turf.

8/11(+0%) | (3) Game Point 8/11, Weak in the market second beaten a neck in a maiden over 10f at The Curragh latest; steadily progressive; top course jockey; sets clear standard; tough to beat Five-race maiden who is not improving but his form is right up there. |

5th (5) (300/1 -100%)Zammawar |
300/1(-100%) | (5) Zammawar 300/1, Slowly away down the field in a maiden over 7f at Limerick most recent; all to do and likely outclassed Beaten a long way in maidens over shorter distances and would be a surprise winner. |

Runner-up on each of his last three starts, GAME POINT can record a deserved success. The Ger Lyons-trained son of Blue Point went closer than ever before last time, when going down by a neck in a big field at the Curragh on Derby weekend. Almost certainly just unfortunate to bump into a couple of decent rivals, there looks to be nothing wrong with his attitude. From a family that have done well on the all-weather, he could easily improve for this surface. Lombardi Trophy, who finished behind the selection at Leopardstown in April, looks the chief threat once again. Carthusian may also be capable of improvement in first-time blinkers.

Game Point and Carthusian are the dangers to LOMBARDI TROPHY who could be the one open to most improvement.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (8) (125/1 -213%)Silver Pageant |
125/1(-213%) | (8) Silver Pageant 125/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo most recent; generally out of form; tongue-tie first time; all to do on flat debut Ran okay in a bumper but minor form in two runs in maiden hurdles; now has tongue tied.. |

Despite suffering an odds-on reversal at Roscommon last time, it could pay to give JANES HARBOUR another chance. Well supported to record a first victory on the Flat, the Joseph O'Brien-trained daughter of Camelot proved somewhat disappointing in the circumstances. Beaten less than two-lengths in a similar race over shorter at Ballinrobe the time before, it may well be that this proves to be her optimum trip. UK import Qamari has to be considered on her debut for trainer John McConnell. Third on her only run as a juvenile, she shaped encouragingly at Chelmsford on her latest start. Spring Dance has shown enough in two starts to suggest she can get involved.

A modest maiden and perhaps a good opportunity for SPRING DANCE (nap) who probably has the most upside of these after just two runs.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) (50/1 -52%)Milverton |
50/1(-52%) | (4) Milverton 50/1, Below par beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap over 10f at Down Royal last time; looking flattered by maiden form; bit to find Never dangerous in maidens and a similar story on handicap debut at Down Royal. |

The relatively unexposed QUICKSHOT is worth siding with on just his second start in handicap company. Sent off favourite when runner-up at this track in April, the Adrian Murray-trained colt has been absent since. Given his American pedigree, connections clearly feel that this half-brother to a Grade 1 winner is capable of much better on this surface. With Colin Keane booked for the ride, the son of Uncle Mo is almost certainly better than a mark of 67. Eighty Eight has yet to win over this trip but from an inside draw and, with a first-time hood applied, he will almost certainly try to make all. Church Mountain and Numidia are both worthy of consideration.

The interesting runner is QUICKSHOT for whom the race didn't go all that swimmingly when runner-up on his handicap debut here.
Ths is the racecard key.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
