5/6(+8%) | (6) Ryehill 5/6, Down the field in a hunter chase over 3m2f at Cheltenham most recent where found ground too quick; this much easier; trainer in form; big chance back on softer surface Down the field at Cheltenham, every chance on the strength of his Naas win in February. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (16/1 -60%)Step Up Son |
16/1(-60%) | (7) Step Up Son 16/1, Below par comfortably held in a maiden chase over 3m at Downpatrick last time where ground too quick; in good form prior; each way player Outran odds of 100-1 when second at Gowran, flopped on good ground at Downpatrick. |

RYEHILL arrives on the back of a 10th on good to soft ground at Cheltenham but it is hard to forget his penultimate outing in Naas, where the mud was flying. He put the field to the sword by 12 lengths and gets the nod on that basis. Run Wild Fred could build upon a runner-up spot at Bandon point-to-point last month. That was just his second run back after an absence and he gets first-time cheekpieces. Hollow Games showed more in second behind a prolific winner at Portrush, while deep ground doesn't look ideal for Big Interest.

The going will pose no problem to St James's Place also-ran RYEHILL whose two wide-margin hunter chase wins have come on soft

14/1(-27%) | (1) La Malmason 14/1, Down the field in Plate Handicap Chase at Cheltenham most recent where let down by jumping; top jockey back on board; each way claims off top weight Course winner in December, sights lowered again after Exeter and Cheltenham ventures. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

ZENTA bounced back to winning ways with a lovely performance over a similar trip in a mares' beginners' chase at this track in February. Attritional ground holds no fears for her and it is worth noting that she was a Grade 1 winner over flights, so there could be more to come from her in this sphere now that she has got her head in front. La Malmason didn't feature in the Plate at the Cheltenham Festival but has claims on her previous efforts, including when third in a Listed mares' chase at Exeter. Majestic Force is a lightly-raced seven-year-old who knows how to win and appreciated a staying test at Wexford on St Patrick's Day.

The vote goes to MAJESTIC FORCE who won on heavy ground over hurdles and has chase form linked to Sunday's Grade 1 winner Spindleberry

17/2(+47%) | (13) Rusheen 17/2, Ran to form comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m at Navan last time; cheekpieces first time; down in trip; off a short-break; bit to find Good effort at Limerick in December, two more recent runs have been much less encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (8/1 -14%)Potters Party |
8/1(-14%) | (3) Potters Party 8/1, Ran to form second beaten 6l in a handicap chase over 2m6f at Thurles latest; ahead of Secrecies Of Stone that day; off a short-break; threat Course 3m1f winner on heavy, solid chance based on Thurles second in January. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

SECRECIES OF STONE is up in class but the way he travelled to win in Leopardstown, he could be up to the challenge. He kept wide and strode in by eight and a half lengths, so a 7lb rise doesn't look excessive. The hike is offset by Georgie Benson's claim and, if he can get into a similar rhythm, she should get a good spin. Ik's Man powered home to win by a big margin over further at Clonmel, so looks threatening. Aine O'Connor is a notable booking for Potters Party, while in-form British raider The Boola Boss would prefer better ground.

The groun should be fine bVAUREAL\p who reverts to handicap company after a satisfactory run in a beginners' event on stable debut

The 125-rated KAINSBOURG has shown ability on rain-softened ground. The Doctor Dino gelding won twice in his native France on very testing ground and four outings over hurdles in Ireland have yielded a couple of runner-up berths at Limerick and Punchestown, and two fourth-placed runs. Kir is a potential improver up in trip, while Letos has plenty of solid form in France and began life in Ireland with a fourth over fences at Wexford. It is interesting that he reverts to hurdles, so a market check is advised.

A maiden which may not take much winning and a good opportunity for KAINSBOURG (nap) whose previous runs have been in stronger maidens

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

A very competitive contest. Willie Mullins is well represented and his FISHERY LANE could be the answer. The Grade 1 Albert Bartlett proved too hot for him at Cheltenham, but his best form has been on rain-softened ground and his decisive maiden hurdle success at this track in January merits plenty of respect. Blaze The Way has been mixing in good company and his second at Navan and fourth in Uttoxeter read well. Custom Taylor arrives in rude health from a cruise around Limerick and he very rarely runs a below-par race, so is one for the shortlist. Autoportrait is a very consistent horse for Mouse Morris, while Stuart Crawford's Ayiko is another to consider.

Tramore maiden winner FAIRYLAND OPERA could be ahead of the handicapper at this longer distance and she gets a tentative vote

16th (10) (10/3 -33%)Kalix Delabarriere |
10/3(-33%) | (10) Kalix Delabarriere 10/3, Yard has won 4 of last 9 runnings of race; won a maiden hurdle at Naas by 1 1/2l last time; stable first string on jockey bookings; should show some improvement on handicap debut Progressive novice with likely more to offer on handicap debut; Townend's pick. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

A host of winners have come out of the maiden hurdle that KALIX DELABARRIERE won at Naas in February and he looks like a horse who could begin to move through the grades for Willie Mullins. There wouldn't be many deeper races to make a handicap debut in, but he has considerable upside and holds two Grade 1 entries for Punchestown. Nicky Henderson's Joyeuse was very impressive on her penultimate start in the William Hill Hurdle at Newbury. She faced a tough task in sixth behind Lossiemouth at Cheltenham, but has to be given plenty of respect here. Grand Annual hero Jazzy Matty could be very dangerous off a mark of 125, while Le Grand Peinture couldn't have won any more easily in Navan.

A chance is taken on SERIENMOND. He won going away on debut for Gavin Cromwell at Leopardstown and could well have more to offer

150/1(+25%) | (2) Blue Pearl Bay 150/1, 8 1/2l fourth in a Mares bumper over 2m3f at Limerick first-time out where poorly placed; bit to find Showed nothing in a bumper at Tipperary last year, pulled up in a maiden hurdle last month. |

ZANOOSH has an each-way chance at a price. Colm Murphy's charge was beaten a fair way into fourth in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in January, but that form has been very well franked. Hello Jean was beaten less than a length into third on debut at Leopardstown and there should be plenty more to come from her considering she did her best work in the latter stages. She is sure to be popular. Derryville's second at Punchestown in December received a massive boost when the winner landed the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival. Lau And Shaz has been mixing hurdling and bumpers and has shown enough to play a part.

It could pay to take a chance on debut point winner SOLDIERSTOWN. Her dam has a good record, and her rider claims a valuable 7lb
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
