GREEN SOUL was all the rage in the market for his debut at Roscommon where he finished strongly to get to within a neck of the winner in second. He missed an engagement at the Curragh on Wednesday due to fast ground. There is some rain forecast for Fairyhouse which should suit him well. Aidan O'Brien fields three representatives and his Extravagant looks particularly threatening. This Wootton Bassett colt finished nicely to get up for second close home on debut over 6f at the Curragh, so the step up in trip should be ideal. O'Brien's Frescobaldi is likely to improve from a fifth place behind Extravagant in the Curragh, while newcomers Equilux and Second Line merit a market check.

Aidan O'Brien's EXTRAVAGANT looked like he was learning on the job when 2nd on debut and that form has been boosted by the winner since

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (15) (100/1 0%)She's A Gift |
100/1(0%) | (15) She's A Gift 100/1, 2,400gns breeze-up purchase by Iffraaj; half-sister to Hydration, very useful at 6f; dam fair at 7f; drawn on wing of large field; outsider Iffraaj filly; 2,400gns 2yo; related to winners at this trip but tough ask for newcomer. |

The 84-rated HOSTILITY might strike on his fourth start. He has put in four placed efforts, all over this trip, and the first-time cheekpieces could eke out a bit more improvement from him. Knockmark looks the pick of the two horses Ger Lyons runs after a fair fourth behind an impressive winner in Leopardstown. Johnny Murtagh's Poweracclaim wasn't beaten far into fourth in a Curragh maiden last month and looks to be going the right way, while Germanese didn't go cheaply at the sales and could improve upon a debut fifth at Tipperary last summer.

It's worth giving another chance to HOSTILITY on the back of a gelding procedure. He sets a solid standard and cheekpieces may help too

6th (6) (10/1 -11%)Powerful Lady |
10/1(-11%) | (6) Powerful Lady 10/1, Made too much use of beaten 5l in a handicap at The Curragh last time; tongue-tie first time; fair mark on AW form but appears better on that surface Fillies' maiden winner on AW in January; not competitive back on turf recently in h'caps. |

9th (10) (50/1 -355%)Boyne Valley |
50/1(-355%) | (10) Boyne Valley 50/1, Below par 10l third in an auction race at Roscommon most recent run where raced too close to strong pace; returning from long layoff; may just need this Showed ability in maidens as 2yo but entitled to need this after 339 days off; 2lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (9/2 -125%)Roosevelt |
9/2(-125%) | (2) Roosevelt 9/2, Had benefited for debut experience when winning a maiden at Leopardstown over 12f by a head last time; trainer in form; thrown in for handicap debut; drop in trip not ideal but big chance if coping with it 1m4f winner latest, leaving debut behind but has to be a chance 7f is sharp on h'cap debut. |

Aidan O'Brien's ROOSEVELT holds big-race entries and could prove to be better than a 92-rated handicapper in time. He got off the mark on his second start in a Leopardstown maiden and it was heartening to see the runner-up finish third in Listed company on his next outing. This is a marked drop in trip for selection, but he made virtually all on that occasion and may repeat those tactics. Orchidaceae disappointed at the Curragh, but has plenty of ability and won over a similar trip at Leopardstown last summer. Just Before was a never-nearer third over 6f when last seen at the Curragh and has winning form over an extended 7f, so ought to be in the mix.

Roosevelt is a fascinating runner but 7f could be sharp. Preference is for ORCHIDACEAE (nap) who ran well in a Group race on return

2nd (2) (9/4 +10%)Tango Flare |
9/4(+10%) | (2) Tango Flare 9/4, Won this in 2023 and 2024; did not get a clear run beaten 5l in a handicap at The Curragh last time; in good form previously in autumn; threat Rated 97, has won the last two renewals of this, nice prep run at the Curragh, big chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (11/4 +31%)Rowdy Yeats |
11/4(+31%) | (4) Rowdy Yeats 11/4, Well backed second beaten 5 1/2l in an auction race over 8f at Cork latest; down in trip; could figure but needs stiff test and could do with some rain 3yo won 7f maiden on testing ground, beaten over 1m latest, down in trip, rain would help. |

It turned out to be a red-hot renewal of the Listed Cork Stakes that KING CUAN was a beaten favourite in fifth. He is well versed over this trip and represents a stable that is enjoying an excellent season. Rowdy Yeats is of interest dropping back to a sprint trip as his second behind a classy sort on debut over 5f at the Curragh last year reads well. Tango Flare is the highest-rated horse on 97 and should come on from a seasonal-reappearance sixth at the Curragh in May, while Jorge Alvares finished third in a very competitive premier handicap at the Curragh on Wednesday.

Pat Foley's TANGO FLARE has won the last two renewals of this race and after a pleasing comeback run, he can complete the hat-trick

CARRIGANS GROVE looks on a more than fair mark ahead of her first try at 6f. She has been keeping on well over the minimum trip when winning on the Polytrack at Dundalk and in coming home second on turf at Cork. Step Back In Time is more than capable of a big run over this trip having scored at Navan in April. Livingston Range bounced back to form off a very lowly mark when runner-up over C&D last week, while American In Paris was just half a length behind in third and that was a marked improvement upon her seasonal reappearance in Navan.

A case can be made for a few of these with a tentative vote going to DISTILLATE who showed a bit more when beaten 4l last week

11th (1) (50/1 +0%)Blue Moon Boy |
50/1(+0%) | (1) Blue Moon Boy 50/1, Gustav Klimt gelding; half-brother to Roman Times, very useful at 5f as 2yo; dam useful at 6f at 2yo; stable not known for first time out winners; best watched Gustav Klimt gelding, related to 6f-7f winners, likely best watched on debut. |

The form of MO CHROI's debut third at Dundalk in November is working out very well with the two horses in front of him subsequently placed in a Group 3 and in a Listed contest. Matrice stays further than this which is a useful attribute to have with so many horses stepping up in trip. Local Lad arrives with a rating of 92 mostly due to a close fourth on debut in a Group 3 last year. He hasn't got off the mark in three subsequent outings and tries a new trip. Rizal is one that could show improvement on his third start.

The top-rated LOCAL LAD showed smart form in defeat last year and he could be hard to beat now stepped up in trip (bred to stay).

TOGETHER ACLAIM ran a remarkable race to win in Cork last month. He missed the break and was still last halfway before staying on well in the final furlong. The third home, Deuteronomy (who is third reserve for this race), delivered in Gowran Park during the week, so Together Aclaim ought to go well off 3lb higher. Deuteronomy would also be a player if getting a run here. Don't Look Now has placed form in Dundalk and reverts to turf off a mark she can be effective off on her first start since switching to Shane Crawley. Kartayaz, who was placed in Sligo, and Roman Harry, who travelled well before being outgunned in second in a Tipperary claimer, are others with chances.

DOLCE FAR NIENTE went close off 9lb higher last year, she's well drawn and she should strip fitter for her comeback run at Gowran

CHOPSTICKS could be rewarded for his consistency. He has been placed in his last four races including at Leopardstown in May on his first start since moving to John McConnell. Si Senior suffered a less than clear route before finishing second in an apprentice handicap over C&D, so can get involved. The handicapper tacked on 6lb, though, which tempers enthusiasm somewhat. Cleopatra's Needle shouldn't be a backmarker off a handy mark. Carvalhal didn't run badly in third at Gowran Park on Monday, while Jurality showed more on his last couple of starts.

LADY DELIA is 8lb lower than when fourth behind Barretstown on her handicap debut last May and she may have needed her last run
Ths is the racecard key.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
