1st (5) (4/11 -82%)Twist Of Fatecatch |
4/11(-82%) | (5) Twist Of Fatecatch 4/11, Second beaten a length in a maiden hurdle here latest; good ground suits; the one to beat with improvement likely Close second on hurdling debut over C&D last month and this looks a golden opportunity. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/2 +0%)Maillot Vert |
7/2(+0%) | (3) Maillot Vert 7/2, Fell in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter latest when beaten; placed in a good ground bumper in 2023; danger Has claims on his peak form but was soundly beaten when falling on Uttoxeter comeback. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (14/1 +44%)Ledders |
14/1(+44%) | (2) Ledders 14/1, Well beaten in a maiden hurdle here latest; generally out of form since bumper win; usually held up; not proven trip; bit to find and likely one for handicaps Returned after a long absence this year and has not shown much in two hurdle runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (10/1 +60%)Master Dunraven |
10/1(+60%) | (4) Master Dunraven 10/1, Below par down the field in a novice hurdle over 2m at Hereford most recent; multiple Irish flat winner; returning from a break; up in trip; looks stable second string Two Flat wins but he's struggled in both hurdle runs; stablemate of Twist Of Fatecatch. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (100/1 +0%)Ballyhealy Diamond |
100/1(+0%) | (6) Ballyhealy Diamond 100/1, Fell in a novice hurdle over 2m at Sandown latest; poor in bumpers prior; off a short-break; hard to recommend Tailed off in two bumpers and was struggling when he fell on hurdling debut at Sandown. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A confident vote goes to TWIST OF FATECATCH, who shaped with considerable promise when filling the runner-up berth on his hurdling bow over C&D last month. He wouldn't need to improve much on that display in a race lacking depth, although the 104-rated Maillot Vert could offer the most resistance, despite falling at Uttoxeter on his British hurdles debut. Master Dunraven needs to improve, but he was a fair performer on the level and should not be written off.

This looks a golden opportunity for TWIST OF FATECATCH who made a promising start over hurdles when a close second over C&D last month.

7/2(+22%) | (1) Sherborne 7/2, Ideally suited by trip when scored by 4l off 109 over 2m3f at Exeter penultimate start; fourth beaten 3 1/2l off 114 last time where outstayed late; contender back down in distance Won at Exeter in February and wasn't beaten far at Newbury latest; respected back in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/4 +39%)Jupiter Des Bordes |
11/4(+39%) | (3) Jupiter Des Bordes 11/4, Below par fourth beaten 14l in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Uttoxeter latest; may find ground on the quick side here Still has potential over fences but was disappointing when favourite at Uttoxeter latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (2/1 +20%)Korus |
2/1(+20%) | (2) Korus 2/1, Well backed 8l third in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Stratford most recent run where didn't enjoy track; given too much to do on debut previously; trainer in form; not out of it Unexposed chaser who was third behind an improver at Stratford latest; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (33/1 -230%)John The Spark |
33/1(-230%) | (4) John The Spark 33/1, Below par comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f here last time; good mark on Irish hurdle form; longer trip a plus; interesting at a price 3-9 in points but he's 0-11 under rules and has plenty to prove back over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (13/2 -44%)Nollyador |
13/2(-44%) | (5) Nollyador 13/2, Well backed when scored by 3 1/2l off 100 at Hereford penultimate start; sixth beaten 17l off 100 last time where went too fast; should show some improvement now chasing Won over hurdles on penultimate run and he should have a future at this new discipline. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (13/2 +35%)Call Off The Dogs |
13/2(+35%) | (7) Call Off The Dogs 13/2, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap chase over 2m3f here most recent; loves this venue; on last winning mark; no forlorn stable second string Won here in September but he's been disappointing since and needs to get back on track. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NOLLYADOR disappointed when sent off as favourite at Market Rasen last time, having been on target at Hereford two starts ago. Emma Lavelle's charge had excuses that day, though, and switched to fences for the first time, which is likely to suit, it would come as no surprise were he to bounce back. Korus continues to run well in defeat and is unlikely to be far away, along with All Authorized, who can fare better than a higher level he contested at Newbury in February.

The vote goes to 5yo KORUS, who is unexposed over fences and was third behind a progressive subsequent winner at Stratford last time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (28/1 +15%)Hey Mister Dj |
28/1(+15%) | (7) Hey Mister Dj 28/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Hereford last time; generally out of form; not proven trip; all to do Absent since finishing fourth in a maiden point just over a year ago; look elsewhere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (10/3 +49%)Diesel Line |
10/3(+49%) | (6) Diesel Line 10/3, Appeared not to stay 44l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Wincanton most recent run; better ground a plus; trainer in form; down in trip; can get involved Didn't run badly last time and is of strong interest if judged on earlier Taunton second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (28/1 -331%)Avada Kedavra |
28/1(-331%) | (4) Avada Kedavra 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Ffos Las latest where failed to stay; returning from long layoff; not proven trip; significant jockey booking; likely to need this Won a maiden point last month but has more on his plate on this rules return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (13/2 -189%)Wasthatok |
13/2(-189%) | (1) Wasthatok 13/2, Bit too much to do beaten 2 1/4l off 103 over 2m at Ffos Las last time; that form franked; usually held up; ver well treated on Irish form; potential threat Kept on well for third at Ffos Las last month and remains well handicapped; shortlisted. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (9/1 +36%)Stanley Pincombe |
9/1(+36%) | (3) Stanley Pincombe 9/1, Seemed to be on stiff mark comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Taunton last time; generally out of form; visor first time; back on last winning mark; revival needed Placed over C&D in September but ended 2024 with some lesser efforts; back from a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (66/1 +0%)Onnaroll |
66/1(+0%) | (9) Onnaroll 66/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Huntingdon latest where went too fast; not proven trip; difficult to fancy 22-race maiden who has been pulled up on his last three appearances and is 8lb wrong today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (125/1 -213%)Diamond Joel |
125/1(-213%) | (8) Diamond Joel 125/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Bangor-on-Dee latest; returning from long layoff; plenty more needed Teenager who has been lightly raced and disappointing in recent years. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STAFF SERGEANT LEN didn't quite see out the extended 2m3f at Hereford last time out, when second to an improver. A 3lb rise doesn't look harsh on that evidence and should a drop in trip play to his strengths, the low mileage five-year-old ought to be capable of better. Wasthatok was a creditable third from this mark at Ffos Las three weeks ago and he shouldn't be far away under similar conditions, although Diesel Line could be the bigger threat.

Dual C&D winner HE'S A LATCHICO (nap) is well handicapped on some of last season's form and wasn't beaten far on his reappearance.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (10/3 +33%)Cauvicourt |
10/3(+33%) | (5) Cauvicourt 10/3, 9 1/4l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Lingfield most recent run; ran well here on debut; off a short-break; not out of it on handicap debut Clear promise in both runs over hurdles and he looks interesting on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/4 -10%)Honneur D'ajonc |
11/4(-10%) | (2) Honneur D'ajonc 11/4, Yard won this last year; travelled well when won a selling hurdle at Stratford by 3l last time; that weak enough form back in a handicap; may contend Course winner in September and he won Stratford seller latest; respected back in handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (5/2 +25%)Baltray |
5/2(+25%) | (3) Baltray 5/2, Fell in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Plumpton latest when going well; returning from a break; good mark on maiden form; the one to beat Lightly raced 7yo but he's failed to complete last twice and needs to get back on track. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Honneur D'Ajonc won a selling hurdle at Stratford and a return to a handicap shouldn't hamper him in terms of being competitive. That said, he may prove vulnerable to a less-exposed rival in the shape of CAUVICOURT. Henrietta Knight's gelding has shaped well on both starts to date over hurdles, in particular when runner-up to a useful novice over C&D in January, and has a decent opportunity to strike on his handicap bow. Kalif D'airy and Baltray could get involved too.

The vote goes to KALIF D'AIRY who has gone close in four of his last five including when a clear second in a maiden here last time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (6/1 +25%)Boys Of Wexford |
6/1(+25%) | (6) Boys Of Wexford 6/1, Made too much use of comfortably held in a handicap chase over 3m at Huntingdon last time; drop down in trip a plus; good ground suits; may contend Won here in November but he's been tailed off last twice and others are more convincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (13/2 +0%)Kap Auteuil |
13/2(+0%) | (2) Kap Auteuil 13/2, Looked regressive fourth beaten 12l in a handicap chase at Chepstow latest; tumbling in weights but fair bit to prove On long losing run but he's dropped a long way in weights and ran respectably last time. |

22/1(-57%) | (3) Orion D'aubrelle 22/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a hunter chase over 2m7f at Stratford last time; returning from long layoff; not proven trip; needs to prove ability remains Generally very disappointing in recent years and is best watched after a year off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (12/1 +64%)Millies Mite |
12/1(+64%) | (8) Millies Mite 12/1, Won this last year; below par down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f here most recent; generally out of form; bit to find Won this last year but she's been out of sorts since November and is now 1-35. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Ivane has clearly benefited from a switch to James Owen and built on his second here by going one better at Southwell. The return to fences is unlikely to pose any concerns in his current vein of form, although recent course winner FINE INVESTMENT might have his measure. The drop back in trip is unlikely to be an inconvenience, having travelled strongly on that occasion, and a 3lb rise seems more than fair. Extraordinary Man is entitled to be in the mix judged on his recent third at Southwell.

Preference is for FINE INVESTMENT, who travelled strongly when scoring here two weeks ago and is open to more progress back in trip.

18/1(-80%) | (6) Surrey Nemesis 18/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle here most recent; usually consistent; not proven trip; yet to show anything; hard to recommend Hasn't figured over hurdles (0-4), latterly when 400-1 in a C&D maiden; little chance.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Bluenose Belle is an interesting contender making her handicap debut and may be the one to serve it up to BOBBIGREY. Jennie Candlish's mare was disappointing at Leicester in November, but she has been given plenty of time to recover and is worth another chance to strike. Arenas Del Tiempo raced too keenly at Plumpton last weekend but she can't be written off yet, especially now back on a flatter track.

It isn't easy to make a case for any of these, but the Candlish runner BOBBIGREY receives the tentative nod over Bluenose Belle.
Ths is the racecard key.
